you’re right, a college degree does not equal common sense.  Frankly, common sense is much more practical and applicable to every day life.  Even though the unemployment has become worse, there are rampant complaints of his jetsetting and his wife, they don’t seem to care.  I think they are too oblivious to realize what they are supposed to be doing up there in the WH.  They think they are rock stars or something-at least they sure act like it.  Remember the tv show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous?

I would like to point out to the remainder of the NQ readership that this is at least the 4th time on this post Ferd Berfle has, without prompting, demanded to know what the color of my skin is.  He believes that this information will “tell us who you are”.  I think people here should be cognizant of the fact that your friend Ferd is hopelessly obsessed with race, and sees it as a person’s defining feature.  I think that should be troubling to the many of you who often profess to believe in a colorblind society.

Well first there are many who have served this Country well. Arab Christian and Arab Muslim…..By the way..Not all terrorists are Muslims….

How about the approximate 30,000 Arab/Muslim Americans who fought in WWII for starters…. Like Maj. Gen. Fred Safay would fought along side General Patton? 

How about U.S. Air Force Col. James Jabara? Our 1st Jet Ace in the Korean War?

Lets not talk abut the Arab/Muslim Americans who fought in Vietnam….

How about former General John Abizaid and Arab/American who was the boss of U.S. Central Command in Iraq..

How about Ayub Ommaya the neurosurgeon, who invented the Ommaya Reservior? Or Fazlur Kahn who designed the Sears and John Hancock Towers? 

How about Zalmay Khalilzed the former US Ambassador to Iraq and Afghanistan?

Oh yeah how about the 11,328,000 black MUSLIM slaves imported worldwide between 1520 and 1900?

Nellies over-broad stereotyping of an entire religion plays into the tone of hatred and bigotry going on here. I’m not discounting her personal “experience” at all; I’m just hoping for a more reasoned discourse on the issue of Muslims. Stereotyping an entire ethnic/religious group has led to dangerous consequences in history. I read through the comments here, and I recoil because I’m reminded of that.

Of course, no one likes a scold, so I completely get why people are annoyed by my comments. I’ll just stand up for what I think is right, that’s all. 

I don’t support Obama. Period. I never have. I despise this administration. 

I’m not “delighted” by anything Obama does; but i don’t have any ideolgical reasons for that, except that I think he’s a dangerous demogogue, and I can see that people are so easily led by “group-think” that I fear what Obama can do to this country.
