“You’re Either Down, Or You’re Not!”

You’re either with us, or you’re not,” so says Dr. Wilmer Leon, a radio talk show host, about Obama and the African American community, in this article by Caroline May in The Daily Caller, “African-American Leaders And Intellectuals Express Dissatisfaction With President Obama.

Oopsie daisy – sounds like another faction unhappy with Dear Leader. The African American community has been one of the most stalwart groups in supporting Obama in the polls, so this could be a troubling change for Obama. Those days may be coming to an end, at least for some in the community, and with good reason:

[snip]Since Obama has taken office African Americans have faced a number of disproportionate “highs,” few of them good, such as an exceptionally high unemployment rate, a high foreclosure rate, and a high number of African-American political figures deprived of the president’s support or dismissed from his administration (such as former White House social secretary Desiree Rogers, former Department of Agriculture official Shirley Sherrod, South Carolina Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene, former green energy czar Van Jones, Democratic Illinois Sen. Roland Burris, Democratic New York Gov. David Patterson, would-be Democratic New York Senate candidate Harold Ford Jr., and Democratic Reps. Charlie Rangel of New York, Maxine Waters of California and Kendrick Meek of Florida).

Dr. Cornel West, professor of African American Studies at Princeton University, is one African-American leader who has been far from pleased with Obama’s neglect of African-American issues. West told The Daily Caller that he has been extremely frustrated with the president’s relative disinterest in civil rights
issues.

“He can take the black base for granted because he assumes we have nowhere else to go,” West said. “But we just won’t put up with it. He has got to respect us.”

West is not the only black leader who feels this way. Behind the scenes, West says, many African-American leaders are not happy with Obama’s failure to address issues important to the black community, especially considering the support the community gave the president during the 2008 election. But, according to West, many of those dissatisfied leaders are hesitant to step forward.

“There hasn’t been a lot of talk about it because I think most black spokespeople, at the moment, are scared of the Obama machine,” West said. “A lot of us are trying to put the pressure on him without aiding and abetting the right wing.” [snip]

I just have to say, as someone living in SC, surely no one really expects Obama or ANY Democrat, for that matter, to support Alvin Greene. For heavens sake, the man was just indicted on two counts of showing pornography a couple of weeks ago. He was kicked out of a SC restaurant on Tuesday. Originally, it was a campaign stop – until those pesky little indictments came down. The organizers canceled the meeting, but Greene came anyway. He, and a companion, were, um, ushered out of the establishment. Heck, even I don’t blame Obama, or ANYONE, for steering clear of this guy. Just saying.

As for my former professor, Cornell West, it is a bit surprising that he, and others, like Dr. Leon, are speaking out already. Now, West was a Hillary supporter, just to be clear, prior to Obama’s being given the nomination by the rule-breaking DNC. But that does not mean he wouldn’t have some real expectations about what Obama might do for the African American community in this country.

Shelby Steele from the Hoover Institute, has some thoughts on the matter, as well:

[snip] Steele pointed out that Obama does not owe the black community as much as they believe he does due to the fact that whites were the ones who elected him — specifically by throwing their support to him during the Iowa caucus. Initially, the African-American community was significantly supporting Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

“Once blacks began to see that whites were with Obama they didn’t want to be left standing at the station so they jumped on board,” he said. “They were not his base anyway. So he is not confused about that. That said, blacks will continue to vote for him. They vote for every Democratic candidate at a rate of 90% so Obama can absolutely take them for granted and will.” [snip] (Click HERE to read the rest.)

This raises a couple of points for me. One, not only are whites the ones who elected Obama, they are also the ones who REARED Obama. It is remarkable to me how completely and fully both Obama’s mother and grandmother have been wiped from history. They are the ones responsible for rearing him. That is to say, he was not raised in a traditional African American community. To pretend otherwise has been one of the most glaring manipulations of the entire election.

Two, yes, many in the African American community were breaking for Hillary Clinton. My first rally in Charleston was easily, easily 1/2 African American, if not more. But, when Obama and his campaign played the race card against Hillary Clinton in SC, employing that turncoat, backstabber, Jim Clyburn, that many in the African-American community turned away from her. She, along with her husband, were characterized as racists by Obama, and for some reason I still cannot fathom, the community, the COUNTRY, bought that, despite their long, long history standing in stark defiance of that claim. But they believed Obama.

Instead of a hard-working Hillary Clinton in the White House, who would indeed have worked on behalf of the African American community, and ALL Americans, who would not be taking vacation after vacation after vacation while the Home sales worsen, more jobs are lost, and the DOW tanks, they got Obama. Even if he IS vacationing in the “historically black section of Martha’s Vineyard” at a gazillion dollars a week, I might add.

Still – it begs the question: just what did the African American community think Obama was going to do specifically for them? Oh, wait – I remember:

Wow. That is still hard to believe, that anyone thought that would happen if Obama became president. But someone clearly spread that word – she was not the only one who seemed to think that was the case.

Anyway, I think Leon sums the issue up perfectly:

[snip] “My take on that is, you have to treat him the same way you would treat any other president,” Leon explained. “Especially since he is not giving you any reason to treat him otherwise. And it is going to be very difficult, whether it is 2012 and he is not reelected or it is 2016 and we’re dealing with a new president — who most likely will not be African American — it is going to be very difficult to hold that new president to a different standard.” [snip] (Click HERE to read the rest.)

There’s a concept – treat Obama like every other president. That would be a change, wouldn’t it? Holding Obama to all the same standards as every other president or presidential candidate? What a novel idea. It’s too late for the latter now, but 2012 is not that far away (it just feels like it is).

I guess we will just see how this continues to play out, and if the dissatisfaction with Obama trickles throughout the African American community, not just the leaders and intellectuals. Time will tell…

I don’t know R3A, remember these are the same people who continue to elect the fearful Guam is tipping over guy and the one with $90k in his freezer, Rangle, Waters, and on and on.  What’s a little indictment?  Like Rangle and Waters, he hasn’t been convicted…yet.

The United States violates human rights.

In an unprecedented move, the Obama administration submitted a report to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights detailing the progress and problems in dealing with human rights issues in this country. The document is a strange combination of left-wing history and White House talking points. It describes how the United States discriminates against the disabled, homosexuals, women, Native Americans, blacks, Hispanics and those who don’t speak English. There is the expected pandering to Muslims….

Oh, true – how could I have forgotten the Guam tipping over thing!

You’re right, Annie.  I stand corrected!

Reminds me of the old Joan Rivers joke that she could never serve on a jury because she’d find herself guilty.

They’re historic alright.  Going down as the worst administration in US history.  I notice that theme caught on in the Quayle campaign.

    “Like Rangle and Waters”?
I don’t like them but I don’t like this trial by press crap either.
If the comminttee has some charges, present them along with thier evidence.
Rangle and Waters have a right to rebut them.
Stop this leaking little by little while you’re trying to blackmail them into resigning.
The press pulled that crap on Jim Wright and I did not like it then and I do not like it now regardless of who the target is.
On the other hand this railroading of these two black representatives is helping to turn blacks against Obama. I guess every cloud has a silver lining.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

If Rangel was not a Rep. with standing, the IRS would have already filed charges against him for tax fraud.  That is not “trial by press,” that is true.  He is lucky as hell that he has the luxury to keep trying his case in the Court of Public Opinion rather than in a court of law.  That may happen at some poitn, but for now, he is enjoying leeway the regular American would NEVER be allowed to have.

The line between tax avoidance and fraud is wide and grey.
It takes a lawyer and an accountant to ride it.
Like I said, I don’t like the guy, but until the IRS files formal charges……

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Oh my gosh – so even Rangel’s acknowledgement that he made a mistake isn’t sufficient indication that he committed wrong doing?  THe issue isn’t that he didn’t commit tax fraud – the issue SHOULD be that it took TWO YEARS for the Ethics Committee to do anything abt it!

  • Patience

I have to agree with Shelby Steele.  The POTUS can take AA voters for granted, as can just about any Democratic politician.

BTW, while everyone’s writing off the POTUS, his Real Clear Politics poll average has been hovering at around 45-46% approval, and that’s about a 7-8% drop from his electoral margin of victory in 2008.  Considering all of the bad economic news and series of blunders, I’m frankly surprised his numbers are even this high.  NOW, having said that, I realize the RCP disapproval average has changed more dramatically, but still, am I alone in wondering how his poll numbers are holding up as well as they are?

I and my husband have been screaming for about 2 years that Obama is not one of us and really doesn’t care.  He blew off  the State Of Black America gathering.  He blew off on at least one occasion a visit and tribute to MLK Jr. MLK Jr. a man who literally gave his life for a cause he believed in.  Black people, along with many other equally important Americans,  died on 9/11 yet the mosque and being sensitive to Islam is more important than their lives.

Heck Jesse Jackson was caught supposedly “off mike” saying that Obama looked down on black people.  He left the black people in his district in Chicago to suffer neglect by slumlords  while taking the slumlords money to further his political career.

I’m no national leader and have never purported to speak for black people in America yet I was aware of all of these things in Obama’s background.  These so-called black leaders are supposed to be some of our best and brightest.  Where the heck were they?

Why are his poll numbers holding up as well as they are?

Because it is very difficult for someone to admit to a stranger (a pollster) that they’ve been conned by someone they truly believed was going to lead them to the promised land.  But eventually people will open their eyes and realize that they’ve been stranded in the desert.

Party is party. Evidently party is thicker than country. I guess they “won” together and they will be conjoined until they “lose” together… or until the country loses. Whichever comes first.

In 1986 we were in Lucerne the year no Americans were in Europe (Achille Lauro).

I treasure that memory. It keeps me sane these days.

Climate change is a reality.  It is a reality that is geologically proven due to many natural factors and cycles.  The sun, and the moon affect the movement of water on earth.  The earth’s rotation and the centrifugal force generated can cause the axis to shift:  dry and wet, cold and hot areas on earth could vary.  Add to these natural factors, human activity and other lifeforms, then of course we have climate change, natural and man-made catastrophes.

Bridges collapse from people just marching over it; imagine the vibration of the earth underneath the feet of billions of people and machinery constantly on the move and operating!  All the forests destroyed; vegetation that normally should be breathing in the carbon dioxide breathed out by animals.

I am opposed to the “capNtrade” proposals they have pending in congress because I think they are dishonest in their motives and preying on the fears of the people who have been bombarded by misleading information.

As long as those preaching global warming, carbon footprints, etc. do not focus on what individuals and local govts can do such as reforestation, and recommend means where individuals can contribute, that makes economic sense, I AIN’T BUYING their proposals.  I think Al Gore and company are simply designing another paper product, like subprime mortgages, to trade in the financial markets.

My point is, Sybill, do not judge Hillary based on that truthful but cryptic statement she made about the flood in Pakistan.  It was not an endorsement of Cap and Trade.

To ‘observer’ – despite what the Black Congressional Caucus is trying to peddle here, I defy you or anyone else to name one congressional dem or repub who would be crazy enough to even *try* to do in an AA congressperson just for the hell of it!!  That is 100% racism if you can’t see passed skin color.  I’m sorry to be using that word I have come to despise since every act imagineable is called racist or racism if the left does not agree with you.  What else can it be other than that.

In fact I’m fairly shocked the cases against Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel have not  been covered up, dismissed or done away with in some way.  Every congress person regardless of dem or repub, black or white, male or female, minority or majority should be called out when they are breaking the laws they have helped write and pass.  Anyone who doesn’t like or agree with that needs help with their thinking.  There is no excuse acceptable, *none*, for anyone, especially, a member of congress,  getting away with crimes other people are in jail for.

Martial law will be quite complicated with 50 states.  And first Obama has to figure out how to disarm all the civilians; the military will have to be complicit in the plans.  Nah . . . too complicated and Obama does not possess any organizational skills; he cannot inspire without prepared speeches and teleprompters.

  • FranSC

You are so right, felizarte!  Hillary is taking a lot of heat on the State Dept ”escorting” the mosque Islamic mouthpiece around Europe and the world.  If there has been one photo of *Hillary* personally escorting him, I have missed it and I don’t miss much where Hillary is concerned.  When an issue like this arises, Hillary gets lost somewhere globally so she doesn’t have to comment on it.

The ‘right’ that I so often agree with these days (horrors of mercy!) are infuriating me with blaming Hillary for this.  Do they not understand Hillary is not on a long leash like Eric Holder is.  Hillary could never get away with making her own Dept of State policies other than employee ones, like idiot Holder who 0bama publicly lets get away with murder and then excuses himself by saying it was Holder’s decision not his.  I’d like to see Hillary get away with anything close to what Holder has gotten off scott free on.

The main reason Hillary can’t make such decisions is because all would-be decisions must be run by 0bama so he can decide if he wants to take the bows for any of Hillary’s work or if he will allow her to receive a little credit.  I guarantee you Hillary and Bill are watched like hawks as though they are criminals or the enemy to make sure they toe the line.  It is a crime that these two brilliant people who have done so much even being a former POTUS are now subordinates to this know-nothing, narcissistic fool and his handlers.

  • FranSC

    Wrong, Docelder!!

  • FranSC

Docelder – what do you expect Hillary to do??  Appoint herself as the defacto POTUS disregarding the fact she works at the pleasure @#$% of this so called POTUS.  Get real!  Hillary might as well be bound and gagged about the controversial issues.

Like felizarte says, someone is making sure it will be difficult if not impossible to distance herself from 0bama’s most radical hair-brained schemes.  They’ve done the same with Bill.  Finally Bill, no doubt, violated his gag order on Joe Sestak, defiantly announcing he did not offer Sestak a job on behalf of the 0bama regime.

  • FranSC

No, you are not alone.  I find the lowest poll numbers shocking!  How he is above 40% is amazing.  And that category of “People who still *personally* like the president, but don’t approve of the way he is doing his job” is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard of.  To my knowledge, that has never been in the poll questions asked until  0bama and the enabling, fawning media came to pass.

The people who fall in that category have got to be worried they will look *racist* (there’s that ugly word again) if they don’t say they at least *like* this guy.

  • CindyWhiteBaguettew/OliveOilforDipping

I’m looking forward to the day when we can all be just plain Americans and stop being hyphenates.

EllenD—-Agreed! I’ve said that many times.

  • FranSC

Hope, your story could be my story.  My two daughters and sister who were Hillary supporters in the primary, didn’t miss a beat on June 7th, 2008.  They jumped on the 0bama train and if they have had any second thoughts about that, I will be the last to know.   I was always the most politically active and liberal member of my family.  You would think I had always been a right-winger the way they distrust anything I have to say about this illegitimate potus.

It is horrible not to be able to discuss anything where 0 is concerned with them.  You would think I’m spouting hatred if I even look like I’m about to say something negative about him.

It is horrifying that they could be so blind and so unwilling to listen to someone they always trusted politically.

  • FranSC

I hope you are right, Cindy, and that I won’t be a jar of ashes before this happens.

That’s what galls me Talk2ThePaw.  They, the LSM,  out and out lied. They portrayed Obama as a poor black inner city kid that scrabbled his way to the top.

They chose to overlook the fact that his mother is white.

They chose to overlook that fact that  Obama’s father is from Kenya.

They chose to overlook the fact that Obama, on both sides of his family, has no historical connection to slavery. He is not a descendant of slaves on either side of his family.

They chose to overlook the fact there is no evidence of Obama’s family supporting the Civil Rights movement.  Obama himself lied and said he was born as a result of the March on Selma. Problem was his so-called birthdate didn’t add up.

They chose to overlook the fact that he was mainly raised in Hawaii by wealthy white grandparents.  These same grandparents sent him to a private school.

Someone had to pay for his college education(s). I strongly suspect it was his grandparents.  If I’m wrong then Obama  can unseal those records and “show us the money”.

I’m sick of Obama and Michelle trading on the color of their skin instead of the content of their character.  They disgrace all who went before of all creeds that gave their lives for the rights we enjoy today.

I often think that Obama has no understanding of “the black community.” I put those words in quotations because I hate generalizations like that. As RRAmy pointed out, Obama was raised by whites. Marrying Michelle was the smartest move he ever made. She gives him some kind of “credentials.” For all the complaining Michelle did in her Princeton essay about losing her black identity, she sure fell in love with money and an upper class life style by the time she got out of Harvard. Did she use her ivy league education to get involved in social programs to help black people? No, she did not. She joined up with a law firm and specialized in an area that had nothing to do with civil rights. Is that “acting white”?

The black people I know (from work, school and my neighborhood) have expressed doubts about Obama’s “blackness.” I only get to hear these conversations because often I am the only white person in the crowd and I keep my mouth closed. What people say in public for the benefit of media etc. is often different from how they really feel. That goes for every group.

This is a tough subject to write about (I know I can’t do it) but I’m glad RRAmy took it on.

The question is, how much effect does man have on that change.

Since the debate erupted, the veterans of VoteVets.org kept out of the argument over the planned Community Center for Muslims in Lower Manhattan (falsely called the “Ground Zero Mosque”). Initially, we believed this was a local issue for New Yorkers to discuss. Our thought was that we have as much right to tell New York where or where not to build a Muslim community center as we have to tell Sheboygan, Wisconsin where to build a YMCA. Besides, when innocent American Muslims died in the 9/11 attacks, and on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, we figured rational minds would prevail and the debate would subside.
We were wrong. The debate hasn’t been confined to New York, nor have rational minds prevailed (yet). Therefore, we can no longer stay silent.
On Wednesday, we started gaining signatures from Iraq and Afghanistan veterans for an open letter to the developer of the site, Sharif El-Gamal, supporting his right to develop the site, and expressing the view that allowing his community center to move forward will be a powerful tool in defeating the same terrorists we fought against in war.

Armistice and Governance in the Iraqi Government-Formation Process: The US Position
    By Reidar Visser (www.historiae.org)
    26 August 2010

“In other words, this outcome would be the exact opposite to what Joe Biden and other US leaders have been telling Washington lately about a supposed decline in Iranian influence in Iraq. Not a big surprise, though: Ambassador Chris Hill told a USIP audience in Washington last week that he expected the next Iraqi premier to be a Shiite – an assertion that completely lacks any basis in the Iraqi constitution and represents exactly the kind of sectarian paradigm of Iraqi politics that Iran prefers. One cannot fail to get the impression that either US policy is grossly contradictive, or there is an unspoken underlying policy of détente with Iran in Iraq, at the expense of the governance of that country and its citizens. Had Washington truly put Iraqi interests first, it would instead have aimed to draw a wedge between the two Shiite-led alliances by having one inside government and the other on the outside, thereby allowing the one in government to develop a more lasting bond with the other main forces in Iraqi politics, without being susceptible to cheap tricks like the de-Baathification revival that brought Iraqi politics to a standstill earlier this year.”

I would suspect that having the Main Stream Media tout his “achievements” and blast his opponents might have something to do with his poll numbers not being completely in the toilet.

Oblahblah knows that he can always count on AA voters, Women voters, and Union voters as well as whatever makes up the base. Most of the above will support whatever he does because he’s a liberal, so they say, and a Democrat.

Partisanship, for party faithful makes for fools. Having been a Democratic for many years I can appreciate their loyalty in some ways.  And be repulsed by it at the same time.

Stupid is as stupid does. Sometimes we do get wiser and not just older. Sometimes it takes ways too long.

I think the thing that angers me the most about sticking with the Democratic Party for so many years is that I was always a “moderate” Democrat and always a “fiscal conservative”. As such I was excoriated more by my own party than by the conservatives. Why I put up with it for so long is more than I can wrap my brain around. I guess waking up late is better than not waking up at all. But the “stupid” I was, still hurts.

No, you’re not, FranSC.  Rasmussen leaves me scratching my head sometimes.  Barry’s Margin of Approval there (difference between “strongly approve” and “strongly disapprove” among likely voters) is all over the map.  It’s been everywhere from -22 to -10 in the past two weeks.

The only poll that matters, though, is the one in November.

  • tango

Yes Fran,  but Hillary and Bill allow it to some point.  It’s bad enough to be mistreated, marginalized and worked to death if you’re poor and uneducated and have no other opportunities.  It’s at least understandable to take shit from a boss when you have a family to feed so I can cut someone like that a break.  But the Clintons have no such need.  So groveling to Obama is not an economic neccesity. They allow themselves to be hemmed in, watched and marginalized because either A. Obama has something on them very damaging and they’re being blackmailed or forced to submit or B. They want to do what they do for Obama for some personal reason.

And I don’t know – I think both Clintons are too smart to want to be tainted with the stink of Obama just for party unity.  Her hanging on is maybe because she knows he won’t run for reelection and she hopes (or has been promised) if she is a good party player the next few years, she’ll get the Democratic nomination come 2012.  But why?  She’s already been fucked over once, it wouldn’t be out of line to think they’ll do it again.  Especially if the voters are turned off by anyone associated with Obama.  There will be their convenient excuse why she can’t have the nomination.

I think the Clintons ought to dump Obama now.

  • armymom

Woaaaaaa, don’t put words in my mouth. Not one word denigrated the soldiers. I just said that they were “liberal” in their views. You are the one who evidently decided that that word “denigrated” the soldiers. And yes, the “liberal” soldier is not in the mainstream in the military, as of now.

And you want to talk about First Amendment freedoms, I’m against the mosque and because I “express” MY F’g first amendment rights, I’m somehow a ………… (fill in the blanks yoursel because you’re one of the biggest ones who call people names if they don’t fit your opinion) I’m curious, how many “blood relatives” do you have serving with their ass on the line in this war, because I have quite a few, especially my own son, So don’t go preaching to me with your condescending bullshit. Thank you for the link, Breeze:

“The story was even collaborated in a written article in an interview with Hani Al-Waziri of Egypt. The clue was revealed while Rauf was answering a question regarding President Barack Obama’s speech in which Rauf replied:

“The speech was wonderful and wise in his choice of words, the Prime Minister of Malaysia after the speech disclosed to me that it is now easy for any president of a Muslim country to establish good relations with America, and I AM NOT GOING TO HIDE FROM YOU THAT ONE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN WRITING THE SPEECH, TRANSFERRED ENTIRE PARTS OF MY BOOK ‘A NEW VISION FOR MUSLIMS AND THE WEST’, which he referred to U.S. interests being compatible with top interests of the Muslim world”.

Rauf did not disclose the name of this speechwriter that included Rauf’s work in president Obama’s historic address to the Muslim world. It is crucial to note that the Arabic version of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s book was published in Malaysia titled “A CALL TO PRAYER, FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER RUBBLE: ISLAMIC DAWA (SUMMONS TO ISLAM) IN THE HEART OF AMERICA POST-9/11.”

The interview with Hani Alwaziri dated February 7th, 2010 intended to discuss Rauf’s plans for what he terms “American Style Islam” and the Cordova Initiative goals for the U.S. Rauf later stated that his goal was “To establish an American style Islam in the United States” in which he explains his aspiration of spreading Islam in America by using flexibility and molding Islam to become palatable to the American culture while preserving the integrity of Islamic ideology:

“If we look how Islam was spread from Hijaz (Arabia) to Morocco then Turkey, we note that Islam was shaped by the culture and society, hence showing a Muslim version of the architecture and culture and the arts, but with preservation of the framework of belief and worship. There are so many questions yet to be answered about the development of the mosque and Islamic cultural center planned for Lower Manhattan. Yet for some reason the real estate mogul behind it won’t answer them. Sharif el-Gamal, 37, is the waiter turned mogul behind Park51. He wanted no part of some tough questions about his development of the mosque near ground zero — his finances, associations, or past. Why a reputable businessman involved in a project with worldwide interest wouldn’t be willing to answer a few questions is hard to understand….

NEW YORK — In the latest in a spate of anti-Muslim incidents over the last two days, an intoxicated man entered a mosque in Queens on Wednesday evening and proceeded to urinate on prayer rugs, New York police officials said. The man, identified as Omar Rivera, reportedly shouted anti-Muslim epithets and called worshippers who had gathered for evening prayer “terrorists.”

Surprise: More hate crimes against Christians than against MuslimsBy: Mark Hemingway
    Commentary Staff Writer
    08/25/10 2:15 PM EDT

This morning there was a report that a cab driver in New York was stabbed because he was Muslim. While the facts are still emerging, all reasonable people can agree this is a shameful and un-American act if this proves to be true.

This incident will undoubtedly be used by the media to further push the narrative that the controversy over the Mosque near Ground Zero in New York shows how Americans are bigoted against Muslims. So here’s some clarifying info from the FBI. According to the latest hate crime statistics available, there were 1,606 hate crime offenses motivated by religious bias in 2008. A closer look: 65.7 percent of them were committed against Jews. Against Muslims? 7.7 percent.

Depending on which population estimates you accept for Muslims (anywhere between 4 and 7 million), hate crimes are committed against Jews at a rate three to eight times greater than against Muslims. Yet something tells me that despite all these hard numbers — as opposed to Time’sanecdotal evidence” –  that magazine is not going to run a cover anytime soon asking, “Is America Anti-Semitic?

After 9/11, there was a quick spike in anti-Muslim hate crimes — there were 28 in 2000, then 155 in 2002. In 2008, there were 123. Even one hate crime is too many, but consider: Between 2 and 4 of every 100,000 Muslims was a hate crime victim in 2008. The murder rate in D.C. last year was about 24 for every 100,000 residents.

Another interesting data point: 4.7 percent of hate crimes in 2008 were motivated by anti-Catholic bias. Another 3.7 percent were anti-Protestant. So from a raw numbers perspective, there were more hate crimes against Christians in America in 2008 than there were against Muslims. Given our large Christian population, it’s true that each Christian is far less likely to be victimized, but the numbers still show that religious haters have not been singling out Muslims

I remember the night of November 4th, 2008 (and early morning of the 5th) very well. I spent most of the evening phone banking, canvassing and getting out the vote for the John McCain campaign. Around 9, I headed back to campus and sat down in front of the TV, watching the returns, hoping that my work was not in vain. As the hourglass slowly petered out, time ran out for McCain and the Republican Party was at its lowest that I had ever seen. Was there anyway conservatives could return?

    Another ‘Moderate’ GZ Mosque

Last night, I was on David Asman’s Fox Business Channel show, Scoreboard, debating Imam Dawoud Kringle of the New York State prison system, a GZ mosque supporter. Imam Kringle, who seems like a nice enough fellow, reeled off the usual talking points about how Islam forbids terrorism and, therefore, if someone commits an act of terrorism that act is, by definition, un-Islamic. Then came the moment of truth: the very simple question, “Is Hamas a terrorist organization?” Have a look at the YouTube clip below. Like his friend Imam Feisal Rauf, Imam Kringle won’t answer the question.

As if we haven’t enough problems to deal with these days, there is lurking in the background a host of sinister issues that will have to be dealt with. The main problem is the United Nations. That organization, overrun with tyrants, dictators and brutal despots, is surviving on the huge dues the U.S. taxpayers provide. Just a short time ago, the U.S. was not interested in the Small Arms Treaty, but it seems that Secretary of State Clinton is now in favor of discussion of the Treaty.(Snip) There is another treaty that would allegedly give the U.N. the right to….

I mentioned this before–a black female friend was so happy that he was married to a real black woman. Had his wife been bi-racial or white, he wouldn’t have stood a chance with blacks. I believe there’s something to this notion. Without evidence, I believe that is one of the reasons BO married MO, along with the fact that her dad was politically connected.

There are a lot in congress that need to go too. Obama couldn’t push this agenda by himself. Heck, he didn’t write or read, as far as I know, any of these new laws. Pelosi will remain in congress for as long as she wants, but strip her of the gavel!

Isn’t it ironic and sad –first black POTUS a disaster–first female Speaker a disaster.

Blacks didn’t support him early on because Iowa was the point when they believed that Obama could win. Getting caught up in the excitement and historic pride of the moment explains everything about this pivot from Clinton. It has very little, if anything, IMO to do with the race card, superficial campaign strategy, or even promises of gas money.

felizarte, you said it eloquently!  I think Hillary is showing the world what her priorities are and that is service to this country.

tango, no, I surely do not think 0bama has anything on the Clintons – the Clintons have plenty on him and everyone around him.  If anyone is afraid, it would be 0bama, Rahm, and the 3+ stooges from Chicago.   They all hold the Clintons in awe because the Clintons are responsible for who they have become. Evenso, these amateurs try to pretend otherwise because of the power they temporarily wield.

They do put the screws to the Clintons as much as they can can, like telling Pres. Clinton he must let the *WH* review his speeches before he gives them – a rule they obviously made up.  The 0bama admin knows Hillary understands the protocol in every situation with strict adherence.   It is hard to disrespect that as well as the excellent job she has done on a scale most of them could never touch.

I believe it is only a matter of time before we will know what they have in mind.  I would love to see Hillary run again and win, but a challenge to 0bama would be no picnic.  After 2008, I would dread it like a plague.  However, if many of the backstabbing dems lose their re-election, they may even be willing to publicly blame 0bama, Pelosi, Reid, the DNC, etc., and help Hillary.   They would not necessarily be like they were in 2008 – they will be too beaten down and in their heart of hearts know what they did to Hillary was wrong, that is, all but the AAs who I think will stick with him no matter what, because they see this as a devine blessing from God.

Most sos don’t serve but one term.  Either the Clintons will write a book(s) or one of their sympathizers will expose the criminal in the WH and the criminals in the DNC and dem party leadership.

What evidence is there that this will happen?  Pres Clinton’s staff and the 0bama people reportedly have great animosity toward each other.  I would say that speaks volumes.  If the Clintons were stupid enough to let bygones be bygones, they would insist that their staff act differently.  They obviously don’t mind the continued hostility.

  • FranSC

lantern, Cindy, and all of you who gave a thumbs-up, thank you!  I appreciate it more than you can know.  0bama has indeed been a divider.  Let’s hope there is redemption for us all and soon!

  • FranSC

Yes, that is indeed sad!  Under normal circumstances I would have been on the front lines supporting both!  They have both corrupted their place in history.

0bama may cause it to be a century before there is another AA POTUS.  I hope not.  And I surely hope we can have another, more deserving woman as S of the H soon.  But first, we need to elect (for real) a woman POTUS.  I suspect it will be a conservative woman given the requirements liberal women have for their members.

I don’t think race will get in the way of another black veiing for the office. For me, it’s the extreme agenda; lack of any deep preparation or appreciation  for the office; shallow work ethic; troubling level of narcissism; ignoring the will of the people. Those traits come in every color and gender.

It’s never been about his race, except when the lefties wanted to make it so.

I disagree. There was a long memo laying out the strategy. Maybe Breeze can find it. MO stated that Bill Clinton said her husband’s candidacy was just a ” fairy tale.” That was a big fat lie and the press ran with it. There were comments by congressmen that intimated ” the Clintons are one of us.” BO, himself, saying  Hillary didn’t appreciate MLK’s part gaining civil rights legislation. WTF?? ..And much, much more. Maybe the Clintons can forgive, but I can’t and will never support anyone complicit in playing this race card. Sad to say, that includes John Lewis. :(

A memo by Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign has surfaced that summarizes its case that Sen. Hillary Clinton’s camp is using the race issue — an issue that some believe is an authentic issue and that the Clinton camp argues is mistaken perception and political manipulation.

You can now boil down the arguments swirling in this controversy this way:

IT’S PART OF A DELIBERATE PLAN:
The Clinton camp is raising the race issue repeatedly via code words and plausible deniability. Someone connected to the camp uses language that puts the issue into the news cycle. They apologize (or quit) but it is still out there. Sort of like a prosecutor who says: “Isn’t it true Mr. Schmidlap that you molested seven children? I withdraw the question!” Andrew Sullivan argues that this is part of a strategy because Obama does better when race is not an issue in the campaign.

IT’S UNFAIR TO BLAME HILLARY: She can’t control what people connected to her campaign are doing. She has stated she doesn’t want this in her campaign. These are people acting on their own and it is not part of a grand strategy.

IT’S ALL PERCEPTION: These are comments blown way out of proportion by the Obama camp, which then jumps on them and won’t let itself be questioned or criticized. Comments the Clintons make are twisted around by the Obama camp, which is adept at getting its message out through a sympathetic press.

IT’S THE OBAMA CAMP THAT’S PLAYING THE RACE CARD: It’s injecting race by subtly-playing the race card by making a controversy over statements that were not meant as they suggest and even when explanations are given, sticking to the original charges that the comments were racial. It cries foul and paints the portrait of a candidate who is above it all, when the campaign is really highly — and successfully — manipulative.

The memo was published by The Huffington Post. In some ways, it resembles a list I put in several posts detailing “coincidences” in the Clinton campaign. (Footnote: I am not in the Clinton or Obama camp. TMV never gets invited to candidate conference calls due to the fact that co-bloggers call issues as we see them and do not use this site to “support” any campaign. Our writers actually support different candidates).

The HP notes that the Obama camp is trying to capitalize on these controversies. It writes:

Oh well if Katie Couric is done tanking her station I’ll be sure to let her “influence” my thoughts and opinions. NOT!

Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has prepared a detailed memo listing various instances in which it perceived Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign to have deliberately played the race card in the Democratic primary. [See the full memo here.]

The memo, which was obtained by the Huffington Post and has been made public elsewhere, is believed to have been given to an activist and contains mostly excerpts from different media reports. It lists the contact info and name of Obama’s South Carolina press secretary, Amaya Smith, and is broken down into five incidents in which either Clinton, her husband Bill, or campaign surrogates made comments that could be interpreted as racially insensitive.

The document provides an indication that, in private, the Obama campaign is seeking to capitalize on the view – and push the narrative – that the Clintons are using race-related issues for political leverage. In public, the Obama campaign has denied that they are trying to propagate such a perception, noting that the document never was sent to the press.

    DRUG USE

Clinton’s NH Campaign Chair Raised The Youthful Drug Use Of Obama And Said It Would “Open The Door To Further Queries On The Matter.” Clinton’s Campaign Issued A Statement Distancing Themselves From Shaheen’s Comments And Shaheen Issued A Statement Saying That He “Deeply Regret[s] The Comments.”

The Democratic presidential race took on a decidedly nasty and personal turn, with the New Hampshire co-chair for Clinton, raising the youthful drug use of Obama. Shaheen said Obama’s having been so open — as opposed to then-Gov. George W. Bush, who refused to detail his past drug use during his 2000 presidential campaign — will “open the door to further queries on the matter. It’ll be, ‘When was the last time? Did you ever give drugs to anyone? Did you sell them to anyone?’” Shaheen said. “There are so many openings for Republican dirty tricks. It’s hard to overcome.”

By the end of the day, Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer had issued a statement asserting that “these comments were not authorized or condoned by the campaign in any way.” And Shaheen himself issued a statement: “I deeply regret the comments I made today and they were not authorized by the campaign in any way.”

Edwards adviser Joe Trippi accused Penn of dropping the word “cocaine” deliberately. Mark Penn said “Well, I think we have made clear that the — the issue related to cocaine use is not something that the campaign was in any way raising. And I think that has been made clear. Breeze, I read a story earlier this year about Obama signing an Executive Order allowing Interpol to serve their warrants in the US without any permissions or warrants from US courts or law enforcement. This means that if the International Court issues an arrest warrant for any US citizen, that Interpol can just come arrest them in the US and take them to trial in Europe. I can’t remember where I saw it, but I do remember being outraged over it. I think it is an un-Constitutional order, and unenforceable, but it was signed and is apparently in force. Can you look it up and post it, please?? (I can’t remember where it was, was too drugged from the chemo stuff for it to have registered all the way.)

–The unnamed Clinton camp member who suggested to a reporter people who vote for Obama do so because they want a cool black friend but if they vote for Hillary, they’re voting for change. The official should be fired by Ms. Clinton. If a Republican said that to a reporter, he/she would accused of playing the race card.

–Senator Bob Kerrey, saying later he was only trying to compliment Obama, raising repeatedly Obama’s Muslim ties. With friends like these….

–The “shuck and jive” comment later explained as not referring to Obama by New York’s Andrew Cuomo (explained well).

–The attempt to get reporters to write more about Obama’s admitted early drug use. The official resigned, but the story was shoved into the news cycle and even the resignation stories got what the official wanted into the news cycle.

–Comments former President Bill Clinton had to apologize for as he faces a backlash from some blacks. Bill Clinton has an excellent record in terms of the black community. But by raising this and then denying it, the issue of race is again injected into the campaign. Aren’t there enough ISSUES around for Hillary and Barack (and Bill) to discuss? Some wonder if there is an actual racial strategy at play here.
PS: Posts by several TMV writers recently have been critical of the Clinton campaign. This sparked SEVERAL angry emails yesterday. TMV writers put their posts up as they write them. We pointed out to critics that TMV was accused last year by readers in emails of shilling for Ms. Clinton. The Clinton campaign ran ads on this site. TMV does not do posts to promote or undermine any candidate. TMV will not endorse a candidate in the election. We all do posts that call ‘em as we see them based on unfolding events.

SOME OTHER WEBLOG OPINION (these are excerpts so please go to the links):

Tom Watson defends the Clinton camp and must be READ IN FULL. Part of it:
Does Arianna Huffington really want to be the fourth horseman
of that posse of wild-eyed pundits fearing the Hillary Clinton apocalypse?

To put it another way, does Arianna really want to play Ringo to Chris Matthews, Maureen Dowd, and Andrew Sullivan – three prominent voices who can’t say the word “Hillary” without sending a river of froth from their own lips, whose rancid anti-feminism and personal hatred for the New York Senator is fully
on view in every segment, every column, every blog post?

Huffington comes late to her liberalism, but she has created a juggernaut in her star-studded Huffington Post, a brilliant Tom Sawyerish paint-my-fence media play that has added a site of real substance to the media polity.

But she clearly risks her own reputation – and perhaps the future of her business – by lighting out so fiercely after a single candidate that so many of her readers support, and courting the kind of backlash that washes over Matthews, Dowd, and Sullivan.

    Jules Crittenden:
My big question is, does this mean if Obama gets elected no one can ever use the words “fairy tale” again, or any other words that might suggest he doesn’t know what he’s doing or what he’s talking about or that he might be full of it, because that might be perceived as racially insensitive?

That’s a pretty serious issue, regardless of Obama’s politics, if political speech is going to be curtailed about something as important as the performance in office of the president of the United States, because someone’s feelings might get hurt.

I’m guessing anything remotely resembling any of the delightful remarks about Chimpy’s appearance, intelligence, preparedness for office and performance in the last seven years would pretty much be out.

John Cole’s post needs to be read in full. He feels Obama’s camp is indeed manipulative.

    A tiny taste 4 U:
In the comments yesterday, someone claimed Bill Clinton dismissing Obama as a “kid” was racist. “Why not just call him boy,” the commenter asked? If we are now to the point where snidely and dismissively calling someone a “kid” can be transmogrified into “boy” which is code for “nigger,” then anything and everything you say is now racist.

And that is a level of absurdity this campaign does not need.

Do people REALLY think Andrew Cuomo is racist? Or Bill and Hillary Clinton? Really? Seriously? Are the Obama supporters really claiming that “fairy tale” is the new dogwhistle to lure southern voters? Really? Seriously?

And no, this does not mean I dislike Obama. It does not mean I will not support him. I just think he is getting a free ride, and I think his campaign is no different from anyone elses while pretending to be above it all.

It is [B.S]. And before you claim I have an Obama obsession, it is primary season. What else do you want me to talk about?

Michelle Malkin has an excellent roundup-style post with links about various aspects of this controversy.

    Comments From Left Field:
After a while, a pattern starts to develop, and with Hillary, the pattern is not only developed, but set in stone. I will grant her some leeway; the “fairytale” remark was probably stretched a bit thin, on the other hand, “shuck and jive” was probably not the best choice of words.

Whatever the case, let’s make no mistake, the Clinton campaign has chosen to wage this war not on the field of ideas, but in the hip deep eddies of a swamp, and few people are being fooled.

Still, it does leave the focus of her ire in a precarious position. Some things Obama can afford to let slide, but at some point he has to hit back, or else he’s going to lose support from people who want to see a president with some fight in him. In this regard, the mudslinging of presidential politics has at least the benefit of toughening up skin.

    Taylor Marsh:
    It’s political war.

If you think the Republicans will do any less you are mistaken. If you write about politics and are aghast at what Johnson might have meant you shouldn’t be in this business because you’re simply too naive to be trusted.

But again, paint me amazed. To think this wasn’t going to come up boggles the mind.

Considering Obama’s camp was calling the Clintons racist, what did he think supporters of hers in the black community would do in response? Is it right? This is politics. People have a right to be incensed, but that’s assuming Johnson didn’t mean what he said he meant, though I always thought it was 50-50.

But even if he did, so what? Obama’s proven himself through the life he has led and what he has achieved, but he doesn’t get to whitewash the rest as he attacks others, expecting nuggets of his past not to be used in rhetorical volleys.

The rest is all a political game of gotcha, with the flip side indignation. Again, paint me amazed, because I can’t say color me amazed because that would be racist.

    FROM HILLBUZZ:

    CatieR Says:
    August 27, 2010 at 11:07 am

A German View of Islam — The author is said to be Dr. Emanuel Tanay, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.

    A German’s View on Islam

A man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many Germans were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. ‘Very few were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’

We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to
somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.

It is the fanatics who march.

It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 wars worldwide.

It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave.

It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, and honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque.

It is the fanatics who zealously spread the doctrine of stoning and hanging rape victims and homosexuals.

It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ‘silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous.

    CONTINUED BELOW

    -

Communist Russia was comprised of people who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.

China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist.
Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy
of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians, most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be
said that the majority of Rwandans were peace loving?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers
of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.

Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group
that counts – the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on. Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and send it on – before it’s too late.

Thanks…what I want to know is why the ACLU hasn’t said something about this!! This is in direct conflict with our Constitutional rights..doesn’t the “Constitutional scholar” know that?? Or is it that he doesn’t care. When it came out, my first thought was that he was setting up Bush and Cheney to be arrested and hauled off to Europe for trials. Or any of our military who might be tried in absentia in a foreign country, or arrested for what they did under orders of their superiors. It basically removes our Constitutional protections in our own country, and that really makes me angry. It also puts the sovereignty of a foreign power in force over our own, which is, again, un-Costitutional. People think I hate Obama because he is black, or from Chicago, has lousy policies, or whatever.. I don’t, I hate him because he is destroying the most precious thing we have, our Constitution, piece by piece, and WE MUST STOP HIM!!

SO THE PLOT THICKENS ……………..AND SICKENS !!!!

I thought we knew quite a bit about Obama and his band of buddies, but what I knew was so tiny compared to this. Read on through this email (even the rather boring part) and see how it comes together in the last part.

    This really is a must-read.

This is an interesting story put together from various articles and TV shows by the British Times paper. It shows what Obama and his friends are really all about, and it’s not hope and change.

    It’s all about money.

I warn you, the first part is a little boring, but stick with it. The second part connects all the dots for you (it will open your eyes). The end explains how Obama and all his cronies will end up as multi-billionaires.

A small bank in Chicago called SHORE BANK almost went bankrupt during the recession. The bank made a profit on its foreign micro-loans (see below) but had lost money in sub-prime mortgages in the US . It was facing likely closure by federal regulators. However, because the bank’s executives were well connected with members of the Obama Administration, a private rescue bailout was arranged. The bank’s employees had donated money to Obama’s Senate campaign. In other words, Shore Bank was too politically connected to be allowed to go under.

Shore Bank survived and invested in many “green” businesses such as solar panel manufacturing. In fact, the bank was mentioned in one of Obama’s speeches during his election campaign because it subjected new business borrowers to eco-litmus tests.

Prior to becoming President, Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, a liberal charity. This foundation was originally established by Joyce Kean’s family which had accumulated millions of dollars in the lumber industry. It mostly gave funds to hospitals but after her death in 1972, the foundation was taken over by radical environmentalists and social justice extremists.

This JOYCE FOUNDATION, which is rumored to have assets of 8 billion dollars, has now set up and funded, with a few partners, something called the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE, known as CXX. It will be the exchange (like the Chicago Grain Futures Market for agriculture) where Environmental Carbon Credits are traded.

    -

    CONTINUED

Under Obama’s new bill, businesses in the future will be assessed a tax on how much CO2 they produce (their Carbon Footprint) or in other words how much they add toglobal warming. If a company produces less CO2 than their allotted measured limit, they earn a Carbon Credit. This Carbon Credit can be traded on the CXX exchange. Another company, which has gone over their CO2 limit, can buy the Credit and “reduce” their footprint and tax liability. It will be like trading shares on Wall Street.

Well, it was the same JOYCE FOUNDATION, along with some other private partners and Wall Street firms that funded the bailout of Shore Bank. The foundation is now one of the major shareholders, and the bank has now been designated to be the “banking arm” of the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE (CXX). In addition,Goldman Sachs has been contracted to run the investment trading floor of the exchange.

So far so good; now the INTERESTING parts –

One Shore Bank co-founder, named Jan Piercy, was a Wellesley College roommate of Hillary Clinton. Hillary and Bill Clinton have long supported the bank and are small investors.

Another co-founder of Shore Bank, named Mary Houghton, was a friend of Obama’s late mother. Obama’s mother worked on foreign MICRO-LOANS for the Ford Foundation. She worked for the foundation with a guy called Geithner. Yes, you guessed it. This man was the father of Tim Geithner, our present Treasury Secretary, who failed to pay all his taxes for two years.

Another founder of Shore Bank was Ronald Grzywinski, a cohort and close friend of Jimmy Carter.

The former Shore Bank Vice Chairman was a man called Bob Nash. He was the deputy campaign manager of Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid. He also sat on the board of the Chicago Law School with Obama and Bill Ayers, the former terrorist. Nash was also a member of Obama’s White House transition team.

(To jog your memories, Bill Ayers is a Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He founded the Weather Underground, a radical revolutionary group that bombed buildings in the 60s and 70s. He had no remorse for those who were killed, he escaped jail on a technicality, and he is still an admitted Marxist).

When Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, he funneled thousands of charity dollars to a guy named John Ayers, who runs a dubious education fund. Yes, you guessed it again. He’s the brother of Bill Ayers.

    CONTINUED BELOW

    -

Howard Stanback is a board member of Shore Bank. He is a former board chairman of the Woods Foundation. Obama and the terrorist Ayers brother, Bill, also sat on the board of the Woods Foundation.. Stanback was formerly employed by New Kenwood Inc. a real estate development company co-owned by Tony Rezko.

(You will remember that Tony Rezko was the guy who gave Obama an amazing sweet deal on his new house. Years prior to this, the law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland had represented Rezko’s company and helped him get more than 43 million dollars in government funding. Guess who worked as a lawyer at the firm at the time. Yes, Barack Obama).

Adele Simmons, the Director of Shore Bank, is a close friend of Valerie Jarrett, a White House senior advisor to Obama. Simmons and Jarrett also sit on the board of a dubious Chicago Civic Organization.

Van Jones also sits on the board of Shore Bank and is one the marketing directors for “green” projects. He also holds a senior advisor position for black studies at Princeton University. You will remember that Mr. Jones was appointed by Obama in 2009 to be a Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House. He was forced to resign over past political activities, including the fact that he is also a Marxist.

Al Gore was one of the smaller partners to originally help fund the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE He also founded a company called Generation Investment Management (GIM) and registered it in London, England. GIM has close links to the UK-based Climate Exchange PLC, a holding company listed on the London Stock Exchange. This company trades Carbon Credits in Europe (just like CXX will do here) and its floor is also run by Goldman Sachs.

Along with Gore, the other co-founder of GIM is Hank Paulson, the former US Treasury Secretary and former CEO of Goldman Sachs. His wife, Wendy, graduated from and is presently a Trustee of Wellesley College. Yes, the same college that Hillary Clinton and Jan Piercy, a co-founder of Shore Bank attended. (They are all friends).

    Interesting?

    CONTINUED

    And now the closing…

Because many recent climate studies have been exposed as scientific nonsense, people are slowly realizing that man-made global warming is nothing more than a money-generating hoax. As a result, Obama is working feverishly to win the race. He aims to push a Cap-and-Trade Carbon Tax Bill through Congress and into law.

Obama knows he must get this passed before he loses his majority in Congress in the November elections. Apart from Climate Change he will “sell” this bill to the public as a means of generating tax revenue to reduce our debt. But it will also make it impossible for US companies to compete in world markets and drastically increase unemployment. In addition, energy prices (home utility rates) will skyrocket.

But,here’s the kicker — THE MONEY TRAIL:

If the bill passes, it is estimated that over 10 TRILLION dollars each year will be traded on the CXX exchange. At a commission rate of only 4 percent, the exchange would earn close to 400 billion dollars to split between its owners, all Obama cronies. At a 2 percent rate, Goldman Sachs would also rake in 200 billion dollars each year.

But don’t forget SHORE BANK. With 10 trillion dollars flowing through its accounts, the bank will earn close to 40 billion dollars in interest each year for its owners (more Obama cronies), without even breaking a sweat.

It is estimated Al Gore alone will probably rake in 15 billion dollars just in the first year. Of course, Obama’s”commissions” will be held in trust for him at the Joyce Foundation. They are estimated to be over 8 billion dollars by the time he leaves office in 2013 if the bill passes this year. Of course, these commissions will continue to be paid for the rest of his life.

Some financial experts think this will be the largest “scam”or “legal heist” in world history. Obama’s cronies make the Mafia look like rank amateurs. They will make Bernie Madoff’s fraud look like penny-ante stuff.

How much influence did they have over any legislation that then Illinois State Senator Barack Obama was supporting or passing during these years? Anti-gun legislation that Obama supported was also backed through his association with the Joyce Foundation.

Supreme Court Justices who might have been affected by Obama’s and the Joyce Foundation’s influence peddling through law reviews from 1994 through 2002:

Former Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist
    Justice John Paul Stevens
    Justice Sandra Day O’Connor
    Justice Antonin Scalia
    Justice Anthony M. Kennedy
    Justice David Hackett Souter
    Justice Clarence Thomas
    Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
    Justice Stephen G. Breyer

This is more evidence of the crime and corruption of the Joyce Foundation and Obama. Not only are they involved in what Glen Beck calls “Crime Inc.”, the global warming scam and scandal that involves Obama, Al Gore, Goldman Sachs, Joyce Foundation, other CCX partners, and Shorebank, we can now see how they have been trying to influence our US Justice Department and obtain their ultimate prize by influencing the Supreme Court Justices.

Will there be someone that can investigate and file suit against the Joyce Foundation before the universities they fed are discredited for being involved in this foundation’s illegal activities, strategy, agenda, and future plans? We can only pray we can expose them and put a stop to their criminal behavior. If you are alumni of these named universities, perhaps you might consider making contact with them. They should be examining how they might be affected if lawsuits are brought against Joyce Foundation for their unlawful and criminal activities.

Below is the original article written in October, 2008 that summarizes the lawsuit. It is a must that you read “Joyce Foundation, Obama, and Heller v. D.C.”

If, under a new policy, being here illegally is no longer reason enough for deportation, why does it still exist? The Obama administration has effectively declared open borders to millions of would-be illegal immigrants — not through legislation, but with a sneaky policy move. On Aug. 20, its man at ICE, John Morton, wrote a memo stating that being in the U.S. illegally is no longer sufficient reason to send someone home. An illegal immigrant now has to be a security threat or else….

Federal authorities have issued a new policy aimed at stopping deportation proceedings for some illegal immigrants, according to a memo issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The memo, which ICE released on Aug. 20, could affect up to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants who are married or related to a U.S. citizen or a legal resident who has filed a petition on their behalf. Illegal immigrants with criminal convictions will not qualify under the plan. ICE Assistant Secretary John Morton wrote the memo to Peter Vincent, principal legal adviser and head of the agency’s removal operations.

In the five years since it hit New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina has reshaped the city’s population — and perhaps its financial future as well. President Barack Obama’s tepid “support” of Florida Democratic Senate nominee Kendrick Meek has raised a few eyebrows — but only a very few. With Governor Charlie Crist (former R-turned-I-for-political-expediency-but-will-caucus-with-Dems-if-he-wins) capturing the silent Democratic backing (at least they’ve been hoping to keep it silent), Meek’s chances seem slim at best. BILOXI, Miss. — More than a quarter of the $20 billion in Housing and Urban Development relief funds that were earmarked for Gulf Coast states after Hurricane Katrina remains unspent five years after the storm, a fact noticed by at least one congressional leader who’s eager to spend it elsewhere. In June, U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, the top Republican on the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, ordered data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development on how much remains unspent from the Community Development Block Grants that were earmarked in hurricane relief funds….

My Site, I also predicted Bush would declare martial law.  That, of course, was dead wrong.  I don’t think Obama will either (though his temperament is such that he’d be more likely than Bush) but I honestly think if we keep electing people like Bush and Obama it’s just a matter of time before someone tries it.
