NYPD Suspends Cop Who Stopped Mom of Dying Girl

She was eleven.  She was having an asthma attack and her mother rushed her to the hospital.  In her panic, Mom got going the wrong way on a one-way street.  The cop who stopped her refused help for the girl and refused to let the mother go.

The child died an hour later in the hospital.

Tell me again that cops are our friends.

Actor John Cusack went on a caustic Twitter rampage Sunday evening, attacking former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Fox News.
“I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES ORDICK ARMEYAND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS,” Cusack tweeted.

More, if not ALL cops need to take the 120 hour course to become EMTs. However, anyone who’s had even marginal first aid instruction would have recognized the extreme urgency of someone having trouble with their airway. If there is a severe airway problem, all other issues become subordinate until a good airway is established. This cop should be charged with negligent homicide.

NYPD acknowledges that all their officers are trained in CPR.  It wasn’t a matter of ability.  It was a refusal to use that ability.

Negligent homicide sounds right to me, Oa.  I was thinking manslaughter and dereliction of duty (if there is such a thing).  Anything that gets this POS behind bars for years.

There’s one thing about it…if they can get a conviction he’ll soon find that for a cop in prison his sentence is the least of his problems.

  • donjo

Something more to worry about: (Please call your senators if it bothers you.)

Senate Bill S.510 is called ‘The Food Safety Bill’. It should be called ‘The Food Monopoly Bill’. You see it will require all farms to purchase and use high-tech equipment that family farms and organic farms cannot afford and do not need. It will put these farms out of business. This is shameful because the bad food occasionally produced in this country does not come from these little farms- it comes from Big Agribiz and they already HAVE the hi-tech equipment required by this law. It seems the equipment hasn’t improved the food they produce, and they don’t like competition from responsible farmers – they prefer a Bill that hands them a monopoly over food production by destroying that competition. Further, this Bill is written in such an open-ended way, that if the Feds choose to, they can use it to stop you from having a home garden.

Also– the Feds are handing food distribution in this country over to Homeland Security. That means that food may be scarce in one part of the country, and plentiful in another, according to “politics”. Of course, if family and organic farms are wiped out, the food they move around will be largely processed and not very good, anyway. But it will be all that is available….

This also happened to me, my child did not die, but the cops just don’t care about sick children….they think your lying. I almost was arrested because I got stopped 5 times after leaving the childrens hospital with my 7 year old that was running 104 fever. The heater in the car had just broken and it was very cold. Here’s another real shocker:  In western WA, no less.  In a recent KING5 (largest local NBC affiliate), Dino Rossi is outpacing Patty Murray by a large margin.  http://freedomslighthouse.net/2010/08/20/shock-poll-gops-dino-rossi-leads-democrat-sen-patty-murray-52-45-in-washington-video-report/

And in other news:  My husband rec’d a call from the local Dem district last week asking if he or I would be interested in becoming a precinct captain (we were both card-carrying Dems ’til ’08).  The guy went postal when my DH said neither of us would ever support the Dems again and why.  Among other things, the guy called him a “racist a$$hole”, and us ”birthers”, and “traitors” (despite the fact that my husband said nothing about barry’s birth).  I made a few calls yesterday to the FCC to file a complaint against the caller and his local party and reported him to his district management and the state’s two Dem representatives.  Finally, I called the guy directly and let him know who I had called and what I had told them.  Do you think he apologized?  He took no personal responsibility at all for his behavior and language and blamed his distressed lack of control on my husband’s refusal to support the Democratic party.  I explained to him that neighbors in a small district/precinct don’t talk to each other this way no matter how zealous their politics are and it worries me that if he has such little control over his mouth, what’s to prevent him from doing other things to people (he’s got everyone’s addresses, too) with whom he vehemently disagrees.  I also told him that we were tired of the verbal abuse from the Democratic party zealots and it has to stop.  Being a military vet, I told him, makes his charge of “traitor” especially serious to me.

It’s getting uglier and uglier, folks.  I think the cherry on top was my parting comment to him — “You know, I’m certain I have never been talked to by a Republican in this way.”  I imagined his head exploded right about then — just like the aliens in “Mars Attacks.”

And the worst part of all this was no one, up or down their chain of party workers, thought to try to win me back through any rational means.  It was all about offense.  Clearly not a winning strategy.

For nearly two years, the Democrats have controlled the House, the Senate, the presidency and two new judicial appointments to the Supreme Court. If this keeps up, no one’s going to trust any scientists. The global-warming establishment took a body blow this week, as the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change received a stunning rebuke from a top-notch independent investigation. For two decades, the IPCC has spearheaded efforts to convince the world’s governments that man-made carbon emissions pose a threat to the global temperature equilibrium — and to civilization itself. IPCC reports, collated from the work of hundreds of climate scientists and bureaucrats, are widely cited as evidence for the urgent need for drastic action to “save the planet.” But the prestigious….

Last week House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio delivered a stinging critique of the Obama administration’s economic policies. But the White House’s swift and tart reaction to Boehner was both illuminating and sadly predictable. On the day of the speech, White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer offered a “pre-buttal,” ripped from the playbook of a presidential campaign. Vice President Biden joined the fray, donning his full-electoral jacket, reminding us once again that it was another president that got us into this mess. Illegal immigration is part of voter fraud.  The likes of Acorn and MoveOn have been caught in neighborhoods of illegals (from all nations) telling them that they can vote.  The only thing is they have to tell one little white lie, that is to check the box that says they are citizens.  At least that has happened here in CA.  No proof of citizenship is needed.  And CA has not implemented anything to keep illegals from getting drivers licenses.  Of course those who work at DMV and the registrars offices are part of it, they don’t check, after all most of CA is involved with sanctuary.

Jerome’s story brought tears of joy to my eyes.  His story was repeated over and over again last Saturday (acutally for several months leading up to it and, now, forever if we can stay awake).  I’m not sure where he was located in the crowd, but I, a white person, was frequently in the company of my darker-skinned brothers and sisters.  His encounter with the Sharpton folks is consistent with my own observations of their march and the way they were talking to people.

When he talks about the freeing effect of having been there, I know exactly what he means.  To use a biblical reference it was like crossing over the river Jordan — to a place where nothing physical matters and where we only see ourselves united in our love of each other (Alveda King recalled the agape love of which her uncle spoke) and our country.  When one is no longer burdened by the darkness laid over us by the hateful rhetoric of those who wish to conquer their so-called oppressors and divide us into continual warring factions in order to uphold their twisted views, it give us real hope of what can be done in our own lives and in the life of our country.

Sorry about the verbal abuse Abigail but it’s interesting to hear that nothing has changed with the Dems – I still have the email responses from the Dem ‘superdelegates’ that I received prior to the total collapse of the Dems – I hadn’t been called names like that or told to shut the fuck up since I divorced my former spouse – didn’t like it either which is another reason why the Democratic Party will never receive another vote from me – Repubs may be assholes too but they are more polite about it & if they don’t pay attention – in two years they will be looking for new jobs too…………………………

Had it with all these assholes – I get a begging letter from local, state & national Dems every week it seems like & I have informed them all that I am an Independent and have been since May 31, 2008 – guess along with all of their other deficiencies – they can’t read either………….. Tax Dollars for Muslims

    Human Events,
    by Connie Hair

    Original Article

    9/2/2010

The Obama Administration reportedly held a special workshop this week to help leaders of controversial Muslim groups acquire “direct access” to taxpayer funding for their activities. The event’s main organizer, the Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations (CCMO) has long-established ties to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, which fostered many Islamist terror groups. Some of CCMO’s member groups were unindicted co-conspirators in the successfully prosecuted terrorist funding trial against the Holy Land Foundation (HLF). Event organizers said they would dedicate themselves to “cutting through red tape” to provide “direct access” to U.S. taxpayer funding for these terrorist funding-related groups.

Talk2ThePaw:  MLK was a Republican — but first he was a man of God, who believed that some things cannot be overcome but through His grace.  The left, by overwhelming numbers, is proud of their secularism and has tried to rewrite God out of the history of this country.  When I was in Washington, viewing our historical documents and buildings, it was plain to me what our early government thought about.  Even the Department of Commerce building places the divine in the center of its mission — it’s carved in stone across its edifice.  “The inspiration that guided our forefathers led them to secure above all things the unity of our country.”  And this is just one small example among hundreds that I discovered in my brief visit there.

I’m still trying to reconcile my own “life-long Democrat” past with the thoughts and feelings of this past week’s events.  The Republican party has lost its way just as surely as the Dems.  The answer, I now have to believe, through overwhelming evidence, is to look to the writings of those who (from the Declaration of Independence) avowed,  ”with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

The Coast Guard is responding to a report of a rig on fire “and people in the water” in the Gulf of Mexico south of Vermillion Bay, authorities said. Petty Officer Casey Ranel said the rig is around 80 miles south of Vermillion Bay and that a helicopter earlier today reported that it was in fire “and that there was smoke and there were people in the water.” Five helicopters, two airplanes and four boats are en route from Coast Guard stations in New Orleans and Houston Ranel said.

My daughter came home yesterday each evening we spend time talking over her day at school. Last night she told me they had gone over the Columbine shootings and watched a video. Naturally, at first I thought there would be many questions to answer. However, listening to her was amazing as she describes the incident and how she felt she’d had grown and enjoyed an amazing lesson, both in the way of education and spiritually. It was heartwarming to sit and listen to her describe how she felt and how one girls life had made her understand to reach out daily whenever she can.

Great comments in reply from everyone.

Here’s the deal:  Washington state has become the laughingstock of the country because of its extreme (extreme) nanny laws.  Oregon is a close second.  I think a good analogy is made with the Mothers Against Drunk Driving organization, started by Candy Lightner.  She left her own organization because her efforts to enact stiff drunk driving laws and prosecution turned into a run-away freight train, eventually taken over by zealots who turned her vision into an anti-drinking campaign.  She said that was never her plan and she thinks it’s sad and ridiculous to curb others’ rights to drink if the original intent has been satisfied — that they don’t drive afterwards.  And we have this sort of zealotry in overdrive here in WA.  It’s the first time I’ve ever heard native Washingtonians talk about moving away from this beautiful state.  It’s starting to sound like NJ under Corzine.

The guy from the Dem party who called is an ideal example of how insular the Dem party is here.  And after the booster shot I got from the Restoring Honor event last weekend, I’d had enough.  I didn’t rage at him; I didn’t even raise my voice to him.  And I just let him spew his crap and maybe, just maybe, he may have heard how pathetic his tantrum sounded in his own ears.  Because I looked this fellow up on their website and his facebook page and he’s got to be in his mid-fifties or sixties and some small part of his brain must have registered how utterly whacked he sounded.

What came home to me after last week is that the truth cannot be overcome in any way, shape or form.  All I have to do is keep to the truth and let those whose anger have clouded their vision and set them afire to just go up in smoke.  And they will.  And they are.  They don’t have historical facts on their side and they don’t have the truth on their side.  They aren’t anchored in any sort of firm belief, but in the daily shifting of political rhetoric they can not, with any real conviction, defend.  And that’s why we never, ever, ever, hear them defending their positions in a rational way and why their only tactic is to name call and spew their hatred.  They’re like little dervishes who will eventually spin themselves into the dust.  So, I’m not really fearful of them at all.  And now I’m trying hard not to have some fun with them.

Did I miss the discussion about the new decoration of the Oval Office? If there hasn’t been one yet, can I jump right into the shallow end of the pool and say I think it’s awful. Not that it was done, although he should have done it when he first moved in like all the others do, but that it’s completely colorless and depressing. I do not like the new rug, or the new sofas and I hate the new coffee table. I liked the two chairs in front of the fireplace the way they were before they were recovered. I was listening to Mark Steyn today. He said something, at least to me, was very profound. He said that the conversation has been about this mosque. He feels it should be about “the hole.” The massacre (my term,, not his) in the WTC was Osama Bin Laden’s making, but “the hole” is our (local and federal governments) making. He went on to talk about various huge projects in other countries that have been completed in the last 10 years and here we are, a decade later, with a hole in the ground. what an embarrassment and how sad.

The Obama Administration reportedly held a special workshop this week ….
    ====================
Christ. A workshop is just a euphemism for wasting a lot of taxpayer money, showing a few Powerpoint presentations (with content that represents the null set when appropriate and necessaary are considered), and then generating a lot high-fives all around for doing nothing in some great place and getting away with it. For the last 4 years, I have declined every invitation to DOE workshops because they are not only a waste of money–they are a monumental waste of my time and life is just too short. The bullshit that passes for inspired thought processes depresses me no end.

OK – here are some specifics about the debate.

1- Carly said she would actively try to overturn Roe vs Wade because her Mother-in-law was told that she should abort because carrying her future husband was dangerous to her health and she chose not to thereby giving Carly a wonderful husband. And the mother in law subsequently lived to a ripe old age.
Boxer replied that wasv why it was called “choice”. But if you didn’t give women a choice you would kill women and criminalize doctors.

2- Carly said she wanted people on no fly lists to be able to carry guns on planes, because she knew people who had their names on no fly lists by mistake and they shouldn’t be penalized for a mistake.
Boxer said her own position was no one should have a gun on a plane except the Captain.

3- Carly said she supported Proposition 8 because marriage was between a man and a woman and that President Obama shared her position and it was the will of the people in California.
Boxer replied that she agreed with the judge that overturned it – that by not letting Gays marry you were depriving them from a basic human right.

Carly attacked Boxer for not having enough bills under her name. Boxer replied that by using her criteria for named bills, neither McCain nor Feingold would get credit for the McCain Feingold bill. She also attacked her for signing the stimulus bill.

Boxer attacked Carly for sending 30,000 jobs at Hewlett Packard overseas and one of the 30,000 laid off phoned in to Carly asking how she would create jobs for California if her experience was shipping them overseas. Carly replied that she intended to make the business climaye so good for companies that they wouldn’t be forced to send jobs overseas as she was.

Carly attacked Boxer for being in congress so long and a caller phoned in and asked Boxer if it wasn’t eime to give someone else a chance. Boxer replied that was what elections were for.

It was quite instructive. Unfortunately not widely broadcast.

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2009

    Washington, DC

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released its 2009 list of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians.” The list, in alphabetical order, includes:

    Coming in at number seven;

    President Barack Obama:

During his presidential campaign, President Obama promised to run an ethical and transparent administration. However, in his first year in office, the President has delivered corruption and secrecy, bringing Chicago-style political corruption to the White House. Consider just a few Obama administration “lowlights” from year one: Even before President Obama was sworn into office, he was interviewed by the FBI for a criminal investigation of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s scheme to sell the President’s former Senate seat to the highest bidder. (Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and slumlord Valerie Jarrett, both from Chicago, are also tangled up in the Blagojevich scandal.)

Moreover, the Obama administration made the startling claim that the Privacy Act does not apply to the White House. The Obama White House believes it can violate the privacy rights of American citizens without any legal consequences or accountability. President Obama boldly proclaimed that “transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,” but his administration is addicted to secrecy, stonewalling far too many of Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act requests and is refusing to make public White House visitor logs as federal law requires.

The Obama administration turned the National Endowment of the Arts (as well as the agency that runs the AmeriCorps program) into propaganda machines, using tax dollars to persuade “artists” to promote the Obama agenda. According to documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, the idea emerged as a direct result of the Obama campaign and enjoyed White House approval and participation.

President Obama has installed a record number of “czars” in positions of power. Too many of these individuals are leftist radicals who answer to no one but the president. And too many of the czars are not subject to Senate confirmation (which raises serious constitutional questions).

Under the President’s bailout schemes, the federal government continues to appropriate or control — through fiat and threats — large sectors of the private economy, prompting conservative columnist George Will to write: “The administration’s central activity — the political allocation of wealth and opportunity — is not merely susceptible to corruption, it is corruption.”

Government-run healthcare and car companies, White House coercion, uninvestigated ACORN corruption, debasing his office to help Chicago cronies, attacks on conservative media and the private sector, unprecedented and dangerous new rights for terrorists, perks for campaign donors — this is Obama’s “ethics” record — and we haven’t even gotten through the first year of his presidency.

    Clueless MSM Unable to
    Understand What Beck’s
    Rally Was All About

    Big Journalism,
    by Andre Harper

    Original Article

    9/2/2010

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending the “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington, D.C. While I’m proud to be an American each and every day, I was especially proud on that day. The feeling I had being amongst so many people that love and appreciate the blessings of liberty was at times overwhelming. The purpose of the event was simple. We wanted to express our love for our nation and dedicate ourselves to practicing the values that has made it so strong. Unfortunately, this simple lesson appears to be impossible for liberals and the media to comprehend.

The Onion video was hysterically funny!  Thanks for that!

OA, as a long-time watcher of “Law and Order” I can safely say that in NY the charge could be 2nd degree murder. Reckless indifference to human life is the basis for the charge. I can’t imagine a situation which fits that definition better than this one. I hope they nail that cop’s ass to the wall, with rusty nails!!

So, do we have any unbiased (not “in the tank for Obama”) judicial officer — ANYWHERE?  It’s astounding to me how every judge that gets near Obummer seems to buy into him — even Justice Roberts at the second swearing in…  Wonder what it is…

I hate to disappoint Cusack, but Satanic Cults don’t have public death centers.  Sort of like the mafia, they’re underground, secret.  And they mainly prey on children and impoverished/immigrant women.

I am not related to this Cusack.
