    Leadership. Love it.

  • MrMike

And the solution is … vote for the guy that got the 2nd largest amount of campaign cash from the major players behind this crisis.

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Well somebody has to get past sound bites and actually come up with something. You know, a real idea for Barky to steal.

Here goes hillary, doing The One’s job for him. Again. He’s a dunce next to her and only a fool would deny it.

I suppose another vacation is in order for Barky. Maybe Hillary can wash his car for him while he’s gone too.

  • http://www.progressive.org/mag_reed0508 Beowulf

If you miss the various Hillary appearances and comments, then I’m sure SusanUnPC will provide the appropriate YouTube links by tomorrow afternoon! :- )

    Thanks for the heads-up!

  • IronMan

    Uppity,

Obama is on vacation already. He’s down in Florida prepping for the debate firday night. Probably shooting hoops, too. And shooting hoops is hard work!

    :)

Let’s all give Obama the real vacation on election day! Send him back to Chicago where he belongs!

  • James

I guess I’m going to have to put up with Mika to watch the Hillary interview. It’s worth it I guess.

  • MrMike

Walk his dog … take his suits to the cleaners … iron his shirts.

  • ritamary

Strange how the two smartest people in the Democratic Party got kicked to the curb by their party and the corporate media. But now that the going gets tough, everyone wants to hear from them.

  • William L. Donlon

I hope Hillary exposes the lies being told to the American People.

$700,000,000,000 will pay for 339,278,800 families to buy homes worth $516,528

There is just no way that 339,278,800 families were for closed out of $516,528 houses.

    It’s a lie!

    It didn’t happen!

NO Way! No Way! No F–ing Way.

We are being lied to and Hillary is the only one I trust to tell the truth.

    Stop the bail outs NOW!

    Stop the lies.

You are insulting the American People with these lies.

  • imustprotest

It’s 3 am and Hillary is answering the call…..Obama who?????

  • TxDi

Yeah, shooting hoops out his azz!
You know we all love Hillary and Bill for that matter too.
There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that she should be our nominee. No one can even compare to her.
But, no offense to anyone, let us concentrate and not be caught off guard and try and give our energy and support to McCain/Palin for 08.
We have been life long Democrats and are now voting Republican and are proud of it too.
For this Presidential Campaign, let us focus on McCain/Palin and give it our all so that we can then concentrate on Senator Hillary for 2012.

  • DawnelleIsStillaPuma

I swear these “democratic” women (and some of the men) are looking MORE like victims and propagandists then I could have ever imagined even their far right zealots couldn’t compete with this GARBAGE.

It’s a strange NEW world! My MOM tonight had good words for Newt. And then caught herself, covered her mouth and rolled her eyes and said, “no one would believe it.”

    weird
(I guess if you live LONG enough you get to see everything)

    some times twice
    gnite America
    don’t forget to vote!

  • Brendy

Oh no! Just watch – Obummer WILL COPY what she says, and it will be ‘concluded’ that he had the same ‘idea’ all along.

  • William L. Donlon

    $700,000,000,000 spent on a Hoax.

$700,000,000,000 that won’t be there to be spent for Health care,.

    Hillary’s or Obama’s

How many people do you know that have lost their homes?

Not people having a hard time selling them, but actually put out on the street??

How many in your entire town??

How many of you live in a half a million dollar house–$500,000 ???

    For this to cost $700,000,000,000

339,271,800 families would have had to loose houses worth $516,528

    We are being LIED to!

This a conspiracy to take away the money for SOcial Security, Health Care, Funds for Education, the whole god damn Hillary agenda.

My numbers, by the way, do not include the $640,000,000,000 that has already been spent by the Fed before this week end.

    Wake Up!

Get Mad! Damn Mad! God Damn Mad!

    Write blogs, Letters to Newspapers,

    Call talk radio.

    We are being Fleeced,

    Stop bleating and start BITCHING!!!

  • ArealDemocrat

Be sure to watch out for any conveniently placed “technical difficulties.” CBS dropped the sound from the David Letterman show tonight during Bill Clinton’s introduction and discussion on the “Clinton Global Initiative.” No one in Chicago got to hear Bill speak until he was done discussing it and gave the name of the website. That’s when the sound was conveniently restored.

Oh and Chris Rock went on a rampage bashing Hillary right after Bill left the show. He denied sexism and ranted as if he was a part of Obama’s church. He repeatedly cried that Hillary lost and she was beat by “some black guy nobody ever heard of.” Which made me want to slap him. He made it seem like any guy off the street could beat her.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82qCwLX9piE Woman Voter

During economic crisis times such as these we need Hillary Clinton’s leadership. We all know she is a brilliant person and we all know she does her home work and we all know that the switch in on and she has a life of experience. During troubled waters we need a ‘captain’ that exudes confidence for the country and can spell out sound solutions.

I hope her colleagues have sense enough to elect her as the leader of the senate…we need a beacon of hope and strength NOW more than ever.

    We luv ya HILL!

  • Peggy Sue

I’d really like to know why Hillary Clinton is out shilling economic solutions, while Obama votes present, again.

Can anyone explain this disconnect? Or is this just another–”I agree with whatever she says.”

I’m so sick and tired of this charade. I predict, HRC will come out with an intelligent response, and then Obama will mimic it during his cheering rallies.

The Democratic Party is on “self-distruct.” They threw their best candidate overboard for an absolute fraud. May they impale themselves on their own dishonesty.

Sickening. I’m watching my own party commit suicide.

    McCain/Palin ’08

  • SJ

AM sorry I just cant seem to get excited that Hillary is going to speak, reason is we have an election to complete and all her great plans are good but the president whoever that is in the end will need to get on the ball with this.

I only hope Hillary is not making all these media appearances only to give her plans and then endorse Obama as the man to fix this, that will really pissed me off, I do find it kind of strange she is hitting the media circuit now.

On the other hand some of the things that I am reading that is creeping into this bail out has to be a joke, from house mortgage, to student loans, credit card debt, this has to be a joke, and I am getting the funny suspicion that one side is playing this crisis to the max for political gain and I don’t feel its the Republicans.

  • Anthony

I agree about playing the crisis to the max, etc.

Hillary is doing what she has to do to secure her own political future. She has no choice, and this was apparent via her speech at the Dem convention. Ever since then, I’ve not listened to critically because even though I find it un-nerving, I do understand her position and can’t say I wouldn’t be doing the same.

On the other hand, for the past few weeks, Obama has been bitching about his ‘lipstick on a pig’ gaffe while McCain/Palin have been speaking about the issues.

Obama has been making derisive remarks about McCain’s proposed solutions on the economy, and McCain has been—-well, offering SOLUTIONS

Most pundits are saying that the economy is an issue that the Dem’s own, but I beg to differ. The economy is something that THE CLINTONS own, and Hillary’s remarks tomorrow are going to underline the juvenile antics of Obama and show him to be unfit to lead.

Keep the faith, it’s going to feel like a long time until November.

  • Babs

Senator McCain proposed oversight of Freddie and Fannie in 2006 and predicted what would happen without it. His bill was defeated by the Democrats, who now want to lay all the blame with the Republicans.
The two largest recipients of campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie were Dodd and Obama, pretty staggering when you consider that’s for the years 1989-2008, and Obama was in the Senate for only 3 of those years.
The energy bill proposed by the Dems in the House is a sham. It prohibits offshore drilling in 88% of the proposed sites, gives the states no leeway in getting some of the profit from drilling off their respective shores, prohibits new nuclear sites, and does absolutely nothing to advance am energy policy to get us off of our dependence on foreign oil.
I am for sure voting for McCain, but I am now toying with the idea of voting straight Republican. I no longer think the Democrats are interested in anything other than their own political power, and I will not be a part of that.

  • BJinChicago

    Mika makes me puke.

  • masslib

2012? Just a guess. Oh and she’s the only one with a clue as to what to do.

  • Babs

Chris Dodd should be made to step down from the leadership of the House Banking Committee, his ties to Frannie and Freddie are just too egregious to explain away. Won’t it be funny if they appoint an oversight committee for this bail-out, and he’s made a member? What’s that old story about the fox guarding the henhouse?

  • BJinChicago

I am not voting for Dick Durbin; he has been a huge backer of Obama.

  • cdo

our country is going to hell and the most capable person to deal with all this crap has been forced (by drooling idiot children) to sit on the sidelines…
i swear, sometimes it is just too embarrassing to live in this country.

  • BJinChicago

The more I read on this fiasco the more I learn about the major role the Dems have played in this fiasco.

  • http://deleted Buzz Latte

I watched Bill Clinton on Letterman. We miss the intelligence and grasp of situations that man has. We could of had it with Hillary.

I loved the way Bill only obtusely supported Obama and gave more praise to Biden in an attempt to sell the Dem. Ticket. But, it’s what Bill doesn’t say that has just as much meaning as anything. His lackluster support of Obama spoke volumes.

We all know that Hillary was the best choice, but the thugs have taken the DNC over.

The real candidate for president now is John McCain. Bill and Hillary both know that. Won’t they be smiling on November 5th when the real patriots have made McCain the next POTUS.

  • NoBamaNoWay

the very fact that she was beat by “some black guy nobody ever heard of” proves how irrational and emotion-driven the obamacrat wing of the party is. obama’s “victory” says more about the pathetic state of the dem party than it does about obama’s “greatness.” note that obama is running *behind* the generic democrat in polls; he may very well lose what should have been a gimme election for dems. clearly obama was nominated by politically clueless people such as mr. rock.

  • NoBamaNoWay

yep; if that s.o.b wins it’s going to be ’94 in reverse in 2010; repubs will sweep control of the congress back as america wakes up to what a charlatan b. hussein is.

  • NoBamaNoWay

couldn’t have said it better, and their rabid, orthodxy-enforcing brownshirts are really turning me off.

  • NoBamaNoWay

problem is, most dems are as uneducated as everybody else, and they simply refuse to believe that dems have anything to with anything that’s wrong in america. they practice total, blind loyalty. when will these bots on both sides wake the frick up.

  • agent77

and now they want to include credit card debt and car loans in the bailout. but only the banks end gets bailed out not the people who owe the loan

  • pbsc

Hillary would be 15 points ahead by now, and rightfully so. I miss her so much in this campaign.

  • justsomeone

Google William M.Issac+FDIC. He’s a former Chair & has better solutions then Paulson, Bernake or Hillary & Barney.

  • justsomeone

Don’t reward greedy jerks whos best idea was subprime option ARMS. If you can name the President who allowed the repeal of The Glass-Steagal Act of 1933 you’ll win the luggage, but remember, in the words of Joe Walsch, “You can check out any time you like but you can never leave.”

  • dee4hill

I’ll never stop saying it either, Susan. Hillary will always have my vote.

    McCain/Palin ’08
    Hillary ’12

  • Jackarooty

I saw the Morning Joe opening at home and I wanted to reach through the TV and throttle her. Gloating is so unbecoming for a journalist (take note Keith Olbermann).
My sister wrote to me this morning and told me that HRC (on MJ) looked great, sounded great and (sigh) should be the one running…not the Pretender.

  • bert

(she should be our presidential nominee, and I’ll never stop saying that, so get used to it)

I agree with dee4hill. Never stop saying it and never be ashamed of saying it. It is the truth!!!!

  • McHope

303,824,640 (July 2008 est.) is the entire population of the United States. That would mean every man woman and child was foreclosed on.
Where did this information come from?

  • DancingOpossum

It’s bad enough that we had Gore taken from us. Now HRC. Argh!!

  • Maverick

I love Hillary but she is making me mad. She is going to stump with Bill and Oblah in Scranton PA.
Makes me sick that she is propping up a dangerous empty suit. The thought of Socialism & Marxism slowing creeping into America swims in my brain.

    McCain/Palin for democracy NOW! 2008

  • Maverick

I just hate it when people say Hillary is doing what she needs to do. She is endangering our kids future by backing Barky. Voters believe her. They say they will vote for him because she “said to”.
This man is dangerous to the future of America and a real threat to democracy. WTF?

  • Maverick

They won’t be smiling because McCain wins. Where do people get this idea? They want a Dem even if he crawled out of a swamp and has pink eyes and a brain the size of a peanut.
    McCain/Palin
    Country before Party.

Oh and blame Barney Frank for this mess too. He learned on the job. Sheez. Loan Officers know more than Barney Frank and the gang.
Hillary’s plan to outlaw short sales keeps me up at night. This is how defaulted homeowners can salvage their credit. The bank will have to short sale it anyway after the homeowner loses the home. It hurts the homeowner to ban short sales.
Do the members of congress even read the bills they are signing? No! So why do they complain when Borrowers don’t read their loan documents?? Who reads anything before signing on the dotted line? Only the prudent and smart and that’s not congress. We have a dumb congress and Dumbocrat Party. I’m calling it as I see it.

  • Maverick

Anyone has better solutions than this crowd. Hell I’ll take the job.

  • Maverick

I’ll be happy with Palin who is in touch. She still drives herself to work and knows about us common people. I doubt she’d have a ban on short sales. It’s not likely that people who are protected by secret service, who have personal drivers, cooks, and girl Friday’s, will even know what the real world is about. The only way Hillary found out some of it is to be on the stump. But she still doesn’t know. She’s good at making laws but needs to be more in touch. Hillary is for Hillary. I worked hard for her and what a ride it was-the tears and joy. I have moved on. There is a reason for everything and Palin can do the job that is needed. Besides, McCain has great intuition. I’ll take it!

  • Soldier of Christ

Personally, little by little, I am losing my respect for Hillary. After the bashing and the vile remarks made by Msnbc, and Nbc- she is doing interviews in their network. Marching to the beat of Obama. If the Democrats wanted her as President back then- why put her out now when Obama didn’t pick her? Why? Because they want her voters and unfortunately, we are not coming back. It wasn’t the democrats that I was voting for -it was her and her strength. Susan, I know she admire her alot, so, I won’t say anything to upset you, but, enough already with this party. If I keep seeing her over and over in the channels that destroy her, it means that she has no self-respect for herself and is a person who likes pain and misery. After all cheating that Bill did to her, I thought she learned to stop turning the other cheek. This is why I voted for her. Her strength! These interviews are just indicating to me that party is first, then country when it convenient for Hillary. It was with pain that I wrote this about her. Trust me, pain.

  • Teyyy&Tim McCian-Palin 08

But It’s not Hillary as president-It’s Obama that most don’t want.So it doesn’t matter.I will wait till 2012 or if Palin and McCain is doing great I have to stick with Palin/McCain as well in 2012

The DNC and Obama and Obots -Mdia diod so wrong and to think they told us to sit down and shut up.And we have to go through 4 stages before we come around.Well I will never come around. The media is doing this to Palin in what they did to Hillary. We have to go search and get the other media who are fair balance. But that’s ok-even after the election I will not watch MSNBC-CNN-MSN-ABC I will not allow them into my home T.V PERIOD!

It’s sad when you have Palin and McCain out there doing what they should be doing as Hilalry did-And then you have Barky-Michelle having the media- other country donation and the lies to as the voers fraud -they didn’t get anywhere on their own-they stole -used and had bottles and bibs hanging on them to catch their mess while the media came along and wash the bibs and put another one one for the next lies to be caught and cover up,

    McCain/Palin 08
    Coutry First!

    NOOBAMA EVER!PEROID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mary

This Election is not dilemmatic. Choosing between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle DumbO offers no real solutions. Only HILLARY HAD THE SOLUTIONS. These two morons, and especially Barry Hussein Obama, are lost at sea. To see just how much respect women’s issues will get from Barry, view his megahit on youtube:

“Obama Gives Hillary the Finger” – where he shows the ladies how to treat his fellow female Senator:
dusting her off his shoulders and scraping her off his dainty limo shoes as if she were….excrement!
All this while SMIRKING and waiting for his equally juvenile followers to ‘clue in’….SHAME on BARRY!

And this immature anorexic resume wants to be President? Of what country?

    ODINGA-OBAMA ’08

THE REAL DREAM TICKET…with Sharia Law that Barry sponsored with his own money to help his cousin Luo Raila Odinga to burn dozens of churches and rape girls in villages last December!

The President of Kenya at the time complained to media that “Sen. Obama is immature and lacks diplomatic skills and we don’t appreciate his interference in our sovereign country’s policies”
    Amen.

  • mary

    maverick

I would say Socialism is something that George W. Jr. already started with the trillion dollar bailout at taxpayers’ expense! It isn’t the exDemocrats–it’s the Republicans who’re going Socialist! Barry Obambi is just a tool for George Soros and the Exxelon Energy guys whom he supported going along with Bushie and Chenney! Hillary and McCain voted against it!

  • mary

    Maverick

Nothing in your post convinces anyone that it was not the Republican Party that has just turned this country’s major conservative party into THE SOCIALIST REPUBLICAN PARTY!

It was the Republican greed and calously displayed international arrogance that allowed this farce of a War in Iraq to take place.

It was the Republican arrogance and yes, social myopia, that has given the country its OBAMYOPIA!

It was the Republican Party that has thrown under the bus all the good will the world may have had for this country and made America form the most respected ethical nation to a warmongering military-industrial Empire–the one Eisenhower warned of in l960. Go read it!

It was the Republican Party that has thrown under the bus Women’s rights and issues and its neanderthal health care policies have given this country a third-world developing country’s standards in infant mortality.

It is the Repubican Party that is spending money form the public purse like a Drunken Sailor out on weekend leave. Not the Democrats.

The Democratic Party, we all know, this year forfeited its “Democratic” name by pushing off the stage and stealing the nomination from Hillary Clinton. She was vilified by the Republican Thugs throughout the 90s! Now Hillary was degraded by her own Party and diminished by Obama.
So what’s so special about the McCain/Palin ticket? More socialized medicine for the CORPORATE WELFARE BUMS?

Gimme a break, repubs and exDems both!….

    INDEPENDENT PUMA ’08

    Write in Hillary

  • mary

    dee4Hill

The Republican Socialist Party is just as guyilty and unworthy of votes as the exDemocratic thuggish party. No real choice.

Independent Pumas should start 3rd Party. That would be real progress.
