Unfortunately, I don't think such a bill would pass, at least not this week. But who knows, two weeks ago I wouldn't have thought Senator McCain would have suspended his campaign with six weeks to go until the election. I haven't had a chance to read Mr. Nader's plan, but from your outline it sounds similar to Senator Clinton's. I'm also wondering if loaning the money would be better than buying the securities.
