Obama Surrenders America To Terror

Bumped Up

News just on the wires that the United States will issue a travel advisory warning Americans to stay away from crowded places frequented by Westerners in Europe. I shit you not. Talk about cowardice and surrendering to terrorism. We laughed when we derided the French several years as a frightened band of cowering primates (the precise term was “surrender monkey”). But now it is Barack Obama and his pathetic National Security Team.

This decision was made late yesterday at an NSC meeting presided over by former CIA hack, John Brennan. Brennan, if you recall, failed to properly and accurately count the number of terrorist attacks in 2003 when he was running the Terrorist Threat Integration Center. (Read it here.) Brennan was a screw up when he worked for George W. Bush and he is a bigger screwer upper now.

Here’s the situation. The United States intelligence community, CIA specifically, has acquired information from a source believed to be reliable who is reporting in a very general fashion that followers of Bin Laden are keen on attacking hotels and tourist spots in Europe. But, once you get past the scary warning of generic mayhem, there are no specifics about when, where or how.

Brennan, who is in charge of the counter terrorism portfolio, has failed big time in carrying out his responsibility on this issue. How?

Instead of bringing together a full interagency task force to scrub this intelligence and determine the exact nature of the threat, he is opting for the ultimate cover your ass approach. He’s hitting the panic button and is directing State Department to issue a public warning to the effect that Americans traveling to Europe should avoid public places frequented by Westerners. This is so fucking stupid I don’t know where to begin.

So, stay away from the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Westminster Hall in London. Don’t go near the Spanish steps in Rome. However, feel free to stroll around muslim neighborhoods in some of the poorer suburbs of Paris.

Rather than man up and deal with the threat in a sensible manner, the Obama Administration is going to depths not even the fools in the Bush Administration would consider. This is shameful. Can’t wait to watch the European governments erupt over this slap in the face. America the coward, no longer home of the brave. No time for a steel spine and stiff upper lip. Led by Barack Obama and his team of nitwits, we are pissing ourselves like a two year old child in diapers.

But Fox is now reporting that the gap between those who think a gop congress is better than a dem one is shrinking.  dems may not be in trouble after all, they say.  I think it has to to with the pjossible fact that the “fighters” are tired.  But I also predict that they will show up on e-day.

I so hope we have balance this time next year, with a gop congress holding a dem president hostage in order to do what is good, as opposed to doing his personal will and thanks to supporters.  After all, we all live in America.  It it not a country that belongs to the philosopy in power.  It belongs to all of us.

I would add that american tourists in London had also better stay away from the underground, double decker buses, the airports, all hotels, all cafes and pubs, Harrods, and, especially the Madame Tussauds (you can’t tell if the figures are wax or real at this time). I’m not sure there are any caves in or around London but that should be a consideration to avoid a terrorist attack.

I can’t help bu think that this is clearly an election stunt by Obama to show “strength” even though it is weakness.

I am just so thankful Michelle was able to make that trip to Spain before this latest terror threat.

  • CarlaforHillary

Thanks Larry for this post and your ability to shine a light onto something that otherwise I wouldn’t even have thought about.

It makes sense to give a warning if there is a threat. But what exactly is the threat and hasn’t the threat always been there?

So what is the purpose of the warning? I think the warning by the Obama administration was to offset his comment in Woodward’s book about how America can absord another terrorist attack.  I know the warning is for Europe, but  “no crisis” can go unexploited and this is an opportunity for Obama to show Americans he is on top of things. He is protecting us both abroad and here by sending out this warning.

I guess Obama is now trying to do for Europe what he did for Vegas.  With that being said,  I always hope for no terrorist attacks, but I don’t not go places because there may or may not be an attack.  If I did that, I couldn’t work, since I work in a big office bldg. in Los Angeles.

Maybe Obama just wants to make sure there are as many democrats as possible in the country on Nov. 2.

Anyway, I have been coming to NQ for two years now and always look forward to reading Larry’s posts and having my eyes opened to things that matter but can be easily overlooked.

Obama is a surrender monkey.  This capitulation to terrorism in Europe is really no different than his capitulation to drug lords on our southern border where he posts signs telling Americans to be careful in our own country because he cannot guarantee their safety.  He is nothing more than a coward and he does not place the same value on American lives that prior presidents have.  Like I say: Barack Obama= Surrender Monkey,

  • Docelder

Yes, we know you are right on with this article. But the sheeple must live in fear. We must now fear climate change, fear hurricanes, fear Al Qaeda, fear the economy, fear Mexican drug lords, fear Muslims, fear cholesterol or whatever else it is now depending on what trendy new corporate developed drug recently was approved for marketing and now fear our own damn government as well as generally fear each other based on our inherited genetic skin tone. Scared shitless people are much easier to exploit.

Reuters reports on the brotherly friendship of Tehran and Damascus. It is not a new relationship. In fact, it goes back many years. But since Barack Obama imagines he can change the world by telling his supporters that this is what he’s going to do he sent messengers and missives to the two tyrannies. Nothing came of these courtships, and certainly nothing came of the American effort to get Iran to cease its pursuit of nukes. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad assured his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday that their ties were solid –

    by Scott W. Johnson

    Original Article

    10/3/2010

President Obama’s policy of engagement with Iran is one of the signal foreign policy failures of Obama’s first two years in office. It is also a continuing source of humiliation. Back home after his outrageous appearance at the UN and his lovely meeting with Yale graduate students in New York, Iran’s President Ahmadinejad had a few more words for the United States today:

“May the undertaker bury you, your table and your body, which has soiled the world,”

    he said.

On August 6, 2001, Bush/Cheney were given a Presidential Daily Brief which said Bin Laden was determined to attack America.  It went on to say:

“Nevertheless, FBI information since that time indicates paqtterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York.”

Bush/Cheney ignored the warning.  Bush, in fact, stayed on vacation at his “ranch” in Crawford, Texas.  No warnings of any kind were issued to airports.  How’d that work out for us?

I have no clue why FOX is reporting the gap closing.  From Rasmussen today:

Isaac T. Woods, the House Race Editor for Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia writes that they are shifting ratings for 21 House races, all in the Republican’s favor. This includes 10 races going from Toss-Up to Leans Republican, five from Leans Democratic to Toss-Up, two from Likely Democratic to Leans Democratic and four from Safe Democratic to Likely Democratic. Crystal Ball still projects the Republicans will gain 47 House seats this year.

Robert Shrum, a Democratic consultant who has worked on many presidential campaigns, sees things entirely differently. Shrum says “signs that the Republican tide is receding” and projects the Democrats will keep control of both the House and Senate.  To reach this conclusion, Shrum acknowledges that he has chosen to ignore all results from Rasmussen Reports. He specifically cites Senate race in Pennsylvania  and Kentucky  as winnable for Democrats. Rasmussen Reports shows Republican Pat Toomey leading by nine in Pennsylvania and Republican Rand Paul leading by eleven in Kentucky.

It’s The 99, and it’s a comic book designed to spread tolerance for Islam.

“I have to say perhaps the most innovative response [to my outreach policy] was from Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa,” Obama told a recent Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship.  “His comic books have captured the imagination of so many young people, they’re superheroes who embody the teachings and tolerance of Islam….”Let me say it is precisely because they…

What is “sad” is that people are so freaking STUPID. Like Shourd and her friends, “hiking” along the Iraq/Iran border during a war, this couple stupidly put themselves in harms way. This lake was on the US/Mexico border, and there had already been reports of cartel criminal attacks in the area. You don’t go jet skiing on a lake, where you can’t see a “border” and where you might accidentally stray into the Mexico/cartel-controlled area! You don’t go “hiking” along the border of Iran and Iraq when there is a WAR going on.

Do these people have a brain in their heads?! Can they not even conceive that there could be a problem?

True.  The only problem I have with Calderon (well, maybe not the only one) is that he’s taking a cut from the cartels’ profits while he claims to be fighting them.  He does protect the Mexican border, though.
Let’s trade with Switzerlalnd–their prez amends the Constitution to deport immigrants who refuse to respect Swiss culture (or if they commit crimes).  See, other countries don’t want to pay to house and feed foreign criminals.

West Virginia:  this is the headline to cover the fix.  Don’t be deceived.  The press always did this with W.  Even though the polls show a landslide for the opposition, the press knows the incumbents can carry out massive fraud at the polls so they start reporting that the incumbent party is having a rally shortly before the election, hoping it will distract people from the election corruption.

  • West Virginia

Sorry, Noogan.  We all play in the Great Lakes without worry.  We should not have to worry about safety.  Fix the problem.  The alternative would be to avoid Chicago because of its high murder rate, or LA or NY.  If we don’t fix the problem then ten years from now we will have signs telling people to stay away from all southern border states.. and 20 years laters – stay away from the southern half of the U.S. We should not surrender an inch of our border land or water.

  • Noogan

You’re “sorry?” Well, you’re argument is a classic example of a non-sequitor, since I certainly didn’t argue that we should “surrender” anything! But, if you are so stupid that you walk into a bank that’s being robbed, and you know it’s being robbed, and you get shot, then you have no one to blame but yourself. It’s not about supporting the robbery; it’s about not putting yourself in harm’s way ON PURPOSE.

Hiking the border between Iran and Iraq during a fucking war is just STUPID. Playing with jet skis in the middle of a fucking cartel war on a lake where you might just stray into the cartel’s territory is just STUPID.

It’s not about surrendering a damn thing; it’s about not being STUPID.

PUMAS,BUBBAS,EQUALISTS AND THOSE CHATTERING PEOPLE RULE

Noogan, I read the linked article.  Avalon still doesn’t get it as evidenced by his conclusion that tea partiers are the loony right wing fringe.  Is the entire leftist movement completely brain damaged?  Maybe instead of “marching” on D.C., they should call up their local water providers and find out what the particulate count is in their drinking supply.

I was especially disturbed to read that they were at the WWII Vets memorial (which is a very special, beautiful memorial) as a group of vets were being pushed in their wheelchairs on a special visit to it.  It must have made these brave soldiers sick to see some of those signs — especially carried by CPUSA.

Noogan,  You make a good point, but I saw another interview with a sheriff who has been part of Lake Falcon’s patrol for a long time and he said that because, unlike the American part of the lake, many American commercial fisherman routinely go to the the Mexican side to buy commercial fishing licenses, where it’s legal to commercially fish, without concern for their safety.  Apparently, this is a fairly recent phenomena.  You’re absolutely right, though, people should take into consideration what is going on down there and be very careful.  When I was in S. Korea once, there was an anti-American military protest going on in Seoul.  I was careful to not wear my military uniform off base.

When I see this I see a group of under achievers who want, nah, expect/demand to reap as much as the achievers.  It is so easy to invade the minds of these under achievers who want it all without putting any effort into it.  Join the Communist Party we will give you maximum benefits for little or no effort.

At one point during my career as an intelligence officer, I was stationed in Beirut.  It was a period of time when it was not uncommon for fierce, but brief, gun battles to errupt downtown between waring militias at a moment’s notice.
I learned a little trick that kept me alive, and I passed it on to my replacement.  It kept him alive, too.  The trick is:
WHEN YOU HEAR OR SEE A GUN BATTLE, GO THE OTHER WAY.
I was not a combatant, just a spy.  Once the battle errupted, my services were no longer needed, at least in that location.  And gratuitously sticking around just to see what happened could very easily result in the early, unintended termination of my services to you, the taxpayer.  If I really cared, I could always find out the results of the battle afterwards.  Rather than be part of the results of the battle, that is.
Learn the above and live it.  You’ll stay alive a lot longer.
