But here, the Democrats are squarely to blame. They have resisted all attempts at reforming Fannie and Freddie, and pushed those organizations to become ever more reckless in their policies. This made the investments on Wall Street carrying those tainted mortgages go from bad to worse, and now we’re in a crisis and on the verge of a meltdown.

This is inexcusable. And if independent voters figure this out, their outrage over this situation will suddenly be directed against the party that pushed these disastrous policies. So Democrats want ACORN to get as much funding as possible, because they might need some new votes in their column on Election Day.

ACORN is a discredited organization, and far too many of its leaders and workers have been prosecuted for felonies against democracy. The idea that a single dime of taxpayer money would ever go to such a group is an outrage. And Mr. Obama needs to explain his involvement with them.

I gotta think that they want this chaos because it benefits 0bama.

It’s a dog and pony show all around. And more of 0bama and the people pulling his strings fooling around behind the scenes with the economy.

You know, people always rave about how FDR saved the country after the Great Depression. And I certainly don’t disagree. But we often fail to recognize that Americans were on the ropes when FDR was elected and as a result, he had a lot of leeway act on his vision.

Maybe somebody is trying to recreate this situation on some level. We all agree that 0bama stands for some pretty radical ideas. Would these ideas be more acceptable if Americans were suffering or on the verge of it and scared shitless, wouldn’t it be easier to accept radical change?

Pelosi’s partisan’s attack resurrected exactly the climate the Dems want at this point 35 days before the Election: one where Bush and his administration’s failed policy are once again front and center making voters so fed up they’d vote for the devil next month simply because he has a ‘D’ in his name.

I’m listening to Charlie Rose and Al Hunt is talking about maybe not fixing this thing until January. If that’s what happens, sorry but I can’t see where people will vote for McCain. Those angry Democrats teetering on the fence, nervous about voting Republican, those ‘undecideds’ will flip for 0bama or do as Donna Brazile ordered: Stay home.

The American people are being played.

It’s no deeper than that.

0bama and his gang thinks we’re idiots.

Pelosi gets up and pretty much tells Bush and the Republicans to fuck off… In public no less. Can’t believe she expected these people to take such a partisan ‘dressing down.’ Even though I agreed with her I was like WTF? These people are up for re-election. Fuck 0bama and McCain, it’s every man for themselves.

Plus, a lot of voters are calling their reps complaining like hell about this Bill. Remember, it’s the vocal voters that elected officials listen to. If you want them to vote for this, you better call and be counted. If you don’t call, you can’t complain.

But let’s face it, the economic chaos benefits 0bama. I still say Soros has manipulated the market somehow. It was predicted months ago that if in September the economy was the issue, it would benefit 0bama.

Well, here it is.

Terrorism? The Iraq War? On a back burner. And that was McCain’s strong suit.

I don’t think the average voter is going to be on top of what is really going on here.

This benefits 0bama.

Unfortunately.

As of yesterday, the Democrats’ House whip, Jim Clyburn said that he hadn’t even begun “whipping” Democratic representatives, and wouldn’t do so unless and until he got orders from Nancy Pelosi. Today, Democratic Congressman Peter DeFazio told NPR that he never was “whipped” on the bill. So Pelosi evidently left Democrats to vote their consciences–which is to say, vote against the bill if they thought it was politically necessary–while counting on Republicans to put the bill over the top.
