Hey Genius, $85 Billion distributed to 200 million workers is $425.00 each, not $425,000 each.

Are you using the same calculator Obama uses for his tax and spend plans?

You know, I was encouraged to buy a house myself. I was told it would be easy, no money down and mortgage assured although my credit wasn't great.I didn't go for it. Why? I knew I couldn't afford it. I couldn't maintain it.Many people I know did it. They thought their homes were going to be ATM machines and bragged as houses on their block sold for more and more. They bought bigger and more homes and condos. They bought new cars. They stood in line for $600 I-phones. It was obvious that this couldn't last and the people were counting on wealth that was on paper only. Do we really want to bail out these people too? Not me, sorry. If you bought a home within your means and didn't run up big credit card debt because you planned to sell your house one day at an enormous profit, you deserve any help that the gov't can provide, otherwise, you are getting what you deserve. Money does not grow on trees. Its alkways been upside down to me that fatcats who sit behind a desk make alot more money than those who sweat and work hard for a living.

Susan

Why don't you quite blowing bubbles, sweetie?!
HIllary was the first over the moronic display of limp-macho-misogynists running against her, to propose her wise SOLUTIONS for this mess. Incidentally, Susan dearie, if you bothered reading Hillary's proposal re Home Onwership Loan Corporation a year ago and then read last Thursday's WASHINGPOST where no less an economist guru than dear Kenneth GALBRAITH, you'll see that GALBRAITH IN FACT AGREES WITH HILLARY'S CONCEPT OF THE HOLCorp!

So snap out of your dumb typical OBAMYOPIA, sweets that lead you to your current Hillary-hatred dyspespia--and go back to Chicago's political sewers where your Empty Suit got his training from REzko and Emil Jones, Ayres and hte rest of the thugs....and go talk to Sen. ALICE PALMER for references. That was his mentor, poo poo, and she was an AA (like you) and Bobo Hussein STOLE her election like he did steal the nomination from HIllary!

Then, honeypoop, go watch your beloved moron's starring role in this youtube mega-hit:

'OBAMA GIVES HILLARY THE FINGER" -- Where your marvelously juvenile, dumber-than-Bush candidate and Odinga's couz flip-offs, and dusts her off and scrapes her off....
Hell...it'll make your miserable day, poopie!

<em>"I’m a homeowner and have a very successful business."</em>

I do so admire your head for business.

We have a bridge out here for sale. We just gave it a fresh coat of orange paint. People love it so much that they pay you six bucks just to drive across.

Our representatives from Nigeria will be in touch with you to close the sale.

Yep, they're saying percentage wise, it only ranks fifth.

*thinking*

Was money that can vanished in the blink of an eye actually something real to begin with?

Maybe the drop is a measure of how much real wealth has been stolen and replaced with faery gold...

Yes, but...

<strong>Whose money was the Bush administration spending when it doubled the national debt to almost <em>10 trillion dollars</em> over a mere 8 years?</strong>

If we had used the same $558 billion we have thusfar spent on the invasion and occupation of Iraq to replace imported oil with alternative energy instead, how much stronger and how much more prosperous would our nation be today?

Instead we've squandered the money, set ourselves up to spend trillions more on imported oil, and funded our enemies in the process.

<strong>Imported oil currently sucks $700 billion per year directly out of the U.S. economy. Add to that the indirect cost of military spending required to protect our foreign suppliers.</strong>

I'd gladly spend our tax dollars to fix <em>that</em>, because the payoff would be both <strong>enormous</strong> and <strong>permanent</strong>.

We need to send this plan to our Congressmen that I received from a friend today and tell them this is a plan we can approve:

T. J . Birkenmeier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic

This idea sounds just crazy enough to possibly work, so naturally it won't be given serious consideration. How great is our bureaucracy!!

Hi Pals,

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in thei r pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,

Birk

T. J . Birkenme ier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic

PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!

So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.

Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college – it’ll be there

Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car – create jobs

Invest in the market – capital drives growth

Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it. Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.

Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.”

Ahhh…I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,

Birk

PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it’s either good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!
