Roll Up Your Sleeves

I take it some of you have already seen some of the ACORN folks out. But did you know that while we are waiting for this great bail out that they are already rolling from the housing bill bull passed earlier this summer. Here is a little reminder from July.

The Wall Street Journal
July 31, 2008
Elizabeth Williamson and Brody Mullins

The housing bill signed Wednesday by President George W. Bush will provide a stream of billions of dollars for distressed homeowners and communities and the nonprofit groups that serve them.

One of the biggest likely beneficiaries, despite Republican objections: Acorn, a housing advocacy group that also helps lead ambitious voter-registration efforts benefiting Democrats.

Acorn — made up of several legally distinct groups under that name — has become an important player in the Democrats’ effort to win the White House. Its voter mobilization arm is co-managing a $15.9 million campaign with the group Project Vote to register 1.2 million low-income Hispanics and African-Americans, who are among those most likely to vote Democratic. Technically nonpartisan, the effort is one of the largest such voter-registration drives on record.

The organization’s main advocacy group lobbied hard for passage of the housing bill, which provides nearly $5 billion for affordable housing, financial counseling and mortgage restructuring for people and neighborhoods affected by the housing meltdown. A third Acorn arm, its housing corporation, does a large share of that work on the ground.

Acorn’s multiple roles show how two fronts of activism — housing for the poor and voter mobilization — have converged closely in this election year. The fortunes of both parties will hinge in part on their plans for addressing the fall of the nation’s housing market and the painful economic slowdown. Some of the places buffeted worst by mounting foreclosures are states whose voters could swing the election. Five battleground states where Acorn has registration drives were among the top 10 states for foreclosure rates as of June: Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Michigan and Ohio.

So it is time to roll up our sleeves and get to work for freedom. Later I will be publishing something everyone can take part in that could make a bit of “change.”

Lou Dobbs did a segment on ACORN this evening

    • wodiej

I missed it, what did he say

    • typical.white.person

He covered a wide range of aspects over many years, everything from the criminal prosecutions for voter fraud to the current kick-back provisions that were in the $700 billion bail-out

ARENT YOU GLAD THE DEMS HAVE ALL THIS CONTROL AND POWER?

  • ObamaGoBackToChicago

So Obama is taking another low road:

LOOKING FOR A RAPE VICTIM TO MAKE A SMEAR AD AGAINST PALIN

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0908/Obama_sought_rape_victim_for_ad.html

    • Soldier of Christ

I don’t think obama should do that. If he does an ad concerning rape he is going to regret it. Palin will come out with the “baby bashing head ad and the trashcan baby”. The tape of Planhood picking “color babies” to bash heads and abort to reduce the black race. I think if the Obama minions are reading this particular post from me, they should reconsider it. I believe Palin will get a little more attention with the “baby bashers”. Mothers do not like to see babies head’s being bashed because they come out alive after an abortion. Do you? I think they should reconsider it, don’t you? Otherwise, Palin- come out with the big baby guns!

      • Soldier of Satan

I don’t think he should do that either.

    • Ferd McBerfle

Oblockhead is now working from the septic tank.

      • http://JohnMcCain.com I’ll vote for Ohitler when there’s frost in hell and Lucifer himself is constructing a snowman

He’s been for a long time my dear Ferd.

    • Diana

I read something interesting over there, Illinois STILL charges a rape victims insurance company for a rape kit. This needs to get out there as an in your face to Obama that he wanted to do this ad, then pulled it because he was told Illinois still does this even though Alaska does not.

    • Diana

      Found more:
Obama as an Illinois State Senator failed to process 1500 rape kits.

It was widely reported in 2003 that thousands of rape kits in Chicago were not being processed at all.

December 11, 2003 — A group of women in Chicago has banded together to address a mounting backlog of untested rape kits at the Illinois State Police Crime Lab. The Women’s DNA Initiative announced their plans on Sunday in the Chicago Tribune to raise as much as $1 million to have the rape evidence tested at private firms. Obama in Chicago had three-year backlog of some 1,500 rape kits, the Tribune reports.

Community Oreganizers had to get together for justice in Obamas chicago: (Tribune)
Rape victims groups, state legislators and an organization raising money to analyze untested evidence collected in rape cases are demanding Gov. Blagojevich change state figures he used to tout a dramatic decrease in the state’s backlog of untested DNA evidence.

The backlash occurred after Blagojevich announced Sunday that the number of DNA evidence kits left to be tested by the Illinois State Police amounted to 158 cases, a drop from the backlog of 1,113 cases state police acknowledged in January 2004.

The Tribune reported earlier this week that the state’s figures do not include 1,269 kits that remain unanalyzed in Chicago police evidence vaults. The kits hold traces of DNA left by attackers that can lead to a suspect when compared with national DNA databases.

State police officials said they do not count Chicago’s numbers

      From MS magazine:
      http://tinyurl.com/48bqlj

      Here’s even more:

You are wrong about Illinois and Obama. There have been numerous complaints about Illinois and how they charge rape victims for rape kits. Obama’s law only paid for people who did not have insurance, if you have insurance then you have to pay.

Posted by Robert Johnson | September 11, 2008 3:37 PM

      Yet even More:

Turns out experts on sexual assault are all too familiar with the issue. “It’s been a problem for a long time,” says Ilse Knecht, deputy director of public policy at the National Center for Victims of Crime. “We’ve heard so many stories of victims paying for their exams, or not being able to and then creditors coming after them.” In order to qualify for federal grants under the Violence Against Women Act, states have to assume the full out-of-pocket costs for forensic medical exams, as the rape kits are called. But according to a 2004 bulletin published by the NCVC, “[F]eedback from the field indicates that sexual assault victims are still being billed.” Knecht says she’s recently heard from caseworkers in Illinois, Georgia, and Arkansas reporting that rape victims continue to be charged for their forensic exams.

this is really interesting, the breakdown and the connection of the votes to Peloser.

    • http://firefox AnnieCarmel

Republicans and JM needs to come out and say once and for all why they took the ACORN article out of the deal and that’s what the Dems are using to try to blackmail them with. Pelosi lined enough of her pals to vote no and try to blame the Republicans for the failure.

She is playing a dangerous game because the people are not on board for the bailout. Somehow the majority see through her and the thugs.

      • Zorro Astor

Pelosi lined enough of her pals to vote no and try to blame the Republicans for the failure.

Possibly. If so it’s evil alright.

      • FranSC

Pelosi was trying to play hardball and make this bailout look like 1)she single-handedly made it happen. 2) a democratic victory. Instead she got ahead of herself with her scathing rebuke of the republicans ‘before’ they voted. Reminds me of my friend’s cat that thinks she’s safely hiding under the bed, but her visible swishing tail gives her away.

Where was Pelosi’s political finesse? This looked like her first rodeo. After all NP has done these past two years – not the least of which was trying to fix this election, it is my fervent hope that she will lose her congressional seat in Nov and/or is removed as Speaker of the House.

      • PamFlorida

The only thing taken out of the bill is the name ACORN. The legislation still has a loosely written provision to “help” homeowners through the HOPE program and other groups. Amounts to the same thing-kick-backs.

    • Concerned Citizen

Check out this bit of speculation: Did Pelosi tank the deal on purpose:

      http://www.redstate.com/diaries/redstate/2008/sep/29/democratic-leadership-wanted-the-bailout-to-f/

      • tish

i think she did, she wants to ad acorn, obama wants it

        • Mary

          Yes.

And that’s why the entire Congressional Black Caucus voted AGAINST the bill.

Clyburn said this morning that if the bankruptcy provision is included again (the Acorn part), the CBC will support the bill.

They’re holding it hostage to including the Acorn money.

  • Sarasota

    I hope McCain;

    1) Retracts his support for the current version of the bill.

    2) Propose a bill without ACORN skimming any money out it.

    2) Make this a huge issue, no matter how long it takes or how bad Wall Street cries (they need a good cry).

    • cynic

I’m not sure what he’ll do. If he changes positions he’s going to take a serious hit if the decline on Wall Street continues and the credit problem widens. Voters rightfully angry about the bill will feel differently about its failure when the situation begins to affect them personally.

John’s got a very serious political dilemma on his hands.

  • McHope

Obama is closely tied to the efforts of ACORN.
    Consider these Obama/ACORN connections.
ACORN has failed in it’s housing efforts.
ACORN is fradulent in it’s voter registration efforts.
Obama failed in his community organizing.
Obama failed in the Chicago Annenburg Challenge.

Even his supporters have to see that he has not been able to succeed in his own endeavors- unless this economic crisis and detroying democracy have been his goals.

    • Y.H./Rochester, MI

Obama keeps boasting his experience as a community organizer. I want to know who hired him for this position (Acorn?) , and what he actually had done as a community organizer.

      • Mary

As a young civil rights attorney right out of law school, Obama worked for a law firm whose clients included Acorn and other “community organizer” groups.

He filed lawsuits against banks who wouldn’t issue loans to low-income minorities with poor credit histories, under provisions in the Community Reinvestment Act.

He FORCED the banks to issue these subprime loans at the risk of publicly being called “racist,” or denying unqualified applicants their “civil rights.”

He was so good at it, that ACORN later hired him to TRAIN all of their group leaders in HOW to go about rabble-rousing on behalf of their communities.

THAT is what he did as a “community organizer.”

    • http://deleted YES HRC

Even his supporters have to see that he has not been able to succeed in his own endeavors- unless this economic crisis and detroying democracy have been his goals.

Good point. I’ve had a strong sense that Obama is a puppet in a decades-old plan. Can’t shake it and can’t fully describe it. I think it started with the phony, staged “breakup” between Rev Wright and Obama. I don’t usually subscribe to conspiracy theories, but things seem “off” in so many ways.

Me too, HRC. Can’t put my finger on it, but it is big, really big and really scary!

    • http://www.governuts.us Agust304

Taken out of today’s bill. This bill slipped by just this last July.

    • OhioMary

I think what has happened is that the July bill set up the slush fund for Acorn and La Raza thru Freddie Mac but when it when belly up they had to get the funding somewhere else and they tried to put in into the bail out bill.

      • Zorro Astor

        Ah! That sounds plausible.

        • Irish1139

Hannity said tonight that Obama had given ACORN $800,000.
          Anyone else heard this?

          • jrterrier

actually it was former senator danforth, from indiana, who is extremely well respected. danforth is co-chairing mccain anti-voter fraud committee. and he laid out all the links between obama and ACORN, when Colmes tried to get him to say that there were no ties between the two other than some long ago connections.

this was on tonights’ hannity & colmes show.

      • Mary

        Bingo, OhioMary.

With Freddie & Fannie now taken over by the feds, they needed a new and different slush fund.

And they attempted to “fix” that in this bill, but it got taken out after the national outrage.

The entire Congressional Black Caucus deserted Nancy Pelosi and voted against the new bill.

It FAILED because Barak Obama neglected to lobby his own Congressional Black Caucus.

        So did James Clyburn.

They won’t vote for the bill unless the Acorn provision is reinstated in the bill.

      • Zorro Astor

And this despite his token use of Friedman’s ‘trickle down theory’. I always reckoned Reagan came up with that name standing at a urinal. ;)

  • Y.H./Rochester, MI

Acorn’s mortgage practice is a financial version of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. The politically correct liberal mind has been deepening the racial problems of this country, when they are gaining political interest with helpless tax payers’ hard-earned money.

    • Zorro Astor

You just don’t give money to people who won’t pay it back. But that is the essence of the CRA and ACORN. It’s a wonder they’ve kept this system afloat for so long (31 years). What goes up must come down and so forth. I hope people fully realize how they’ve been hoodwinked. If they do there will be a really big backlash and it will help cure the country’s ills.

      • Cubs in 08

        the essence of the CRA

It’s about OVER-REGULATION! …brought to you buy the Democrats (feeding ACORN, et al.). It keeps the “down-trodden” in a perpetual state of dependence and servitude.

If Obama the Marxist and his ilk have their way, we will all end up “in need.” This translates to government control and loss of individual freedom, i.e., totalitarianism. Think about it…

  • Linda

I guess we have our answer for why the Dem’s pushed Obama. He brought them his “community Organizing” to help them in the election.

    • Zorro Astor

Women vote for women but sometimes for men. Blacks vote for blacks period. Women vote with their brains. Blacks vote with the color of their skin. To have the 1st black president is a feather in the cap nothing would ever take away. It would make the Dems the party for the blacks (and possibly other minorities). And organizing with blacks is the way it’s done in Chicago.

this is just another way for the dems to get a hold of billons of dollars of our money, they plan to give to their acorn and others,,payback..they must have something over bush..
and their is some thing going on with paulsen and aig, and the place he used to work for some kind of 20 bill dollar thing…paulsen isnt looking out for us..dont let them get our money newt has some great ideas, if they are sincere they need to do those ideas and no money from us…since when did the dems give a crap about us,,last time i heard them tell us to drop dead and they left for 5 wk vacation, when gas was going through the roof, you know what we should do now? cut back on using gas, drive the price of gas way way down

      • wodiej

        said chicken little….

Fox news said earlier that this is not even in the top 10 of worst days on Wall St. in percentages. Donald Trump said the price of gas will hit rock bottom and OPEC CAN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. He said everyone involved in oil prices have gotten richer than anyone in the WORLD and he is happy the price is falling-he said that several times. He also said, people who have cash and don’t need credit will be fine. I know alot of people have credit cards but I think most can or would learn to at least budget their cash better to pay the necessities such as house payment and groceries. People have just gotten carried away w living beyond their means. Maybe this is good and things need to slow down. Trump says he believes the economy will boom after the dust settles.

Put today’s downturn into perspective. Go to this link: http://finance.google.com/finance?client=ob&q=INDEXDJX:DJI It’s the Dow Industrial chart. Notice that you can expand the chart, like out to one year, five years, etc. Once you expand the chart, you’ll see this is just a blip — and if you go back a few years it becomes a small blip.

    • kevin

      exactly
Now go back fifty years and what does it tell you?
The overall trend is up. And the dow is an index of 30 industrial stocks, not the whole market. I view this as a buying opportunity, the sky is not falling, the sun will rise tomorrow and this too shall pass.

Easy easy easy. This is the DJI. What you’re seeing is relative. It’s not a mountain range. ;)

If the DJI drops nearly 800 points and is the biggest in its history it’s significant. If every news outlet across the globe has shows about it night and day it’s significant. If banks are dropping like flies it’s significant. If NIKKEI dropped nearly 5% today it’s significant.

Blow this one off dismissively and you go under.

swingstate polls swung 3-5 points for O.

if McCain doesn’t come out swinging and

    McCain’s statement today was pitiful.
Said nothing strong and it a passive voice.
does he even want to win?

I don’t understand what is going on. Everything
has been SO easy for Obama. an absolute
path of rose petals for him up to the whitehouse.
And the republicans are barely fighting.

what is going on? this is all such a charade.

    • SJ

I have asked myself that same question when watching McCain does he want to win? I believe that McCain may be feeling if after all he has sacrificed for this country and people can choose a man that has a big question mark over his head about his loyalty to country it is upsetting and will kill all zeal to find a way to win.

Lets face it Obama is not match in character against McCain, but yet people seems to want him at the head, the media slams Mc Cain and praise Obama, talk show host do the same, and so it goes anyone would sit and say to oneself well if that is what they want let them have it.

McCain was strong in the debate they say he failed, he wants to not tax they say he is lying, he wants to protect us they say nope he love only war, and so it goes man anyone would F it let them do what the hell they want and give up.

      • http://firefox AnnieCarmel

Fortunately, SJ, that’s not the way it works. I’m certain that the Republicans have something up his sleeve. Be patient a little longer.

    UPDATE ON LAWSUIT AGAINST OBAMA

    http://www.americasright.com/2008/09/berg-v-obama-update-monday-september-29.html

Berg to File Opposition to Obama’s Motion to Dismiss Today

By the end of the day today, Philadelphia attorney Philip Berg will file an Opposition and supporting Brief in response to the Motion to Dismiss filed by Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee with regard to the underlying August 21, 2008 suit filed by Berg which contends that Obama is not constitutionally eligible to hold the office of president of the United States.

Per Berg, Obama’s candidacy for the presidency in the general election prevents citizens from voting for Hillary Clinton despite her 18 million votes received in the primary election. Second, the harm Berg suffered is particular to him because he has been denied the constitutional right to cast his ballot for an eligible candidate. Third, his claims of injury can indeed be traced to Obama’s unlawful behavior, his “failure to disclose information to which American voters are entitled.” And finally, the defendants have failed to show, as mentioned by the New Hampshire court in Hollander, that Sen. Obama is “unquestionably an American citizen.”

Click above link to read more updates about the case.

The Obama Cheerleader Networks aka the Mainstream Media remain SILENET about this.

    Wonder why that is?

Check it out. Worth the read.

WTF? A motion to dismiss when all you have to do is show your freaking birth certificate?

      okay…

      • Zorro Astor

Yeah that doesn’t pass the smell test!

    • Y.H./Rochester, MI

      Dear Ironman,

I have closely followed this law suit and read the complaint as well as Obama’s motion to dismiss.

It is extremely strange to me that Obama’s motion only made constitutional issues without providing any evidence, while this case would be dismissed for sure if he can simply submit a copy of his birth certificate. Why? I guess he does not have a proof that he is a natural born US citizen!

Not only the media did not cover this news, I am quite sure that it is not discussed (at least not openly discussed) among the members of the American Bar Association, nor the American Immigration Lawyers Association. I believe that over 90% of the voters do not know about Obama’s eligibility under the constitution. AMERICAN VOTERS DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS.

Ironman, I really do not know what’s going on. Constitution does not matter any more?

      • jrterrier

i haven’t followed this lawsuit but if he wants the case dismissed he cannot get into facts. if there are disputed facts, then the case must go forward to trial. the only way to get a dismissal, is to make legal arguments.

        • Y.H./Rochester, MI

If Obama produced a certified copy of his birth certificate with his responsive pleading, he could request the Court take judicial notice of same, and seek a dismissal.

Where is Obama’s US birth certificate?

    • NoBamaNoWay

ANY american citizen ought to have standing to file such a suit. WE ALL have the right to know that our president meets constitutional requirements. jeezus christ.

PS they are all for it and declare ACORN is a legit enterprise……..mama mia……..pass the koolaide bong!

      • nationalert

Approx. 65 Dems opposed the bill, and approx. 140 Repubs did. Check the internet for accurate figures.

        • http://www.governuts.us Agust304

95 Dems against, including the South Side Chicago Dems, Jesse Jr. and Bobby Rush.

Doncha know – no ACORN, no vote.

            Bingo.

      • Heather

My experience, exactly! Life is full of surprises isn’t it?

  • http://www.governuts.us Agust304

Hanity showed the video that Larry posted where Conv Frank and others beat down a regulator who was suggesting that these institutions be regulated.

Then Alan Colmes said something like, why do you say the dems are responsible. I think Huckaby was about to fall out of his chair. Here it was in plain sight on video and the Alan Kool-Aide was pretending it (the video) did not exist. I swear I could have seen him with his hands over his ears going nanananananananana, like a kid not wanting to hear what was being said.

Can someone tell me, what is in that kool-aide anyway?

    • http://www.governuts.us Agust304

      thats Congressman Franks, not Conv
      Bad keyboard. Bad Bad Bad.

    • wodiej

I can’t STAND Alan Colmes!! i had to change the channel.

      • Y.H./Rochester, MI

        Wodjej,

Do you have a “mute” bottom on your remote?

    • jrterrier

Tonight Colmes said that Obama had never said that the surge wouldn’t work even though we have all seen the video. It is 1984 and double speak.

      • Y.H./Rochester, MI

If Obama is elected, he will make the Fairness Doctrine become reality again. Then, not only Hannity has a Colmes, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly will have one in their show as well.

    • csuzeq

my boyfriend drank the kool aid and I get so disheartened I ask him what’s in it and to just give me some of the damn fantasyworld kool aid so I can just be deaf, dumb and blind, too, in my own little lala land of sweetness and light. He’s not sure what was the kool aid. I tried giving him red kool aid so he’d vote McCain, but that didn’t work either.

I do not know what to do anymore! I hate this election! I hate Barack Obama! I don’t want to hate my boyfriend, but it’s hard and he seems so damn stupid now!

      Someone save us!!!

Jack Bauer, we’re running out of time!

        Csuzeq,

To save us, you need to vote. Vote for McCain.

Can someone tell me, what is in that kool-aide anyway?

      Hope and change. ;)

  • Dan

Well Larry, all I can say is …. I hope like hell that “whitey tape” actually exists. I think it may well be the only thing that can save McCain now.

While it’s clearly the Democrats that have the most dirt on their hands in this mortgage debacle, the typical sleepwalking American voter can only discern …

“Financial Markets In Crisis + Bush In White House = REPUBLICANS BAD!!!”

That’s why Obama has pulled ahead. How ironic is it that the trillion dollar mess that was primarily the Democrats’ creation is now going to elect the most liberal president in American history.

I may move to Canada. If you’re making good money, the tax rates will likely actually be lower there in a year than they will be here.

God help this country. We are about to compound the damage done by 8 years of George Bush with Jimmy Carter, Part Two.

    • Seattle Moss

Last night I made the comment that the Media may start acting fairly towards Palin and McCain to try to offset the 20-30% decline they are experiencing in viewership.

      I was Wrong…The media are anti-American Bastards!!!

      • Jeff

        Nope, you’re the anti-American.

“And by the way, if you do nothing else, take that word back. Elite is a good word, it means well above average. I’d ask them what their problem is with excellence. While you’re at it, I want the word “patriot” back. ”

                    Seattle Moss,

I agree with you that Obama represents the end of Americanism. If he is elected, he will change America to a country that we can not recognize.

            • Hope Floats! Flush Twice!

Jeff defines patriotism the way Pelosi, Biden and the former USSR did. Expect your great nation to fail. That’s what they’ve been working for all along, and if you can’t see that and claim to care about America, you’ve been duped.

    • SJ

I myself cant believe it, people can see all the mess the dems made with this housing for minorities, and NINJA loans, groups like ACORN and others who helped with this mess and yet people running after Obama as if he is coming to save them and he is in the center of all this.

Sad to say either American have all become instantly dumb or they just don’t care now who they elect, I really still cant understand what I am seeing, and maybe its really our government fault we have opened our doors for so many now we have a changing face of America and I guess the only value love for country and American pride no longer exist.

      • Heather

Don’t rule out the possibility that the polls are fixed. They have to be, to make people believe the voting machines have not been hacked when Obama wins on Nov. 4.

I know for a fact that both Gallup & Rasmussen are biased. They cut John Edwards out of their polls, arbitrarily deciding that he was finished even when he was getting the highest of any Dem in the cross-party-lines polling.

These guys are in the tank for Obama and they are setting up everyone to “believe” the trick they will play on election day.

My prediction: A HELL of a lot of Americans are going to be asking themselves ‘Who voted for this guy? I didn’t, and no one else I know did … and yet he won?”

    • csuzeq

I doubt the whitey tape would have any real effect on Obama lovers. It seem like there is nothing that can penetrate the cement blocks that used to be their heads!

      • jd4hill

        That is the truth.

Present them with facts, and they answer, oh I don’t know anything about that.

    • Jeff

Not too worried about the popular vote, but at least 300 electoral votes for Barackstar is looking pretty good right now.

Kerry States + FL, CO, VA, NC, NM, NV

      NICE

      • Hope Floats! Flush Twice!

By the time the GE arrives, Obama will lose all of those states. He holds them by slim margins now and only because of the economic crisis. SBVT rolled out their big guns 10 days before the election. Obama will meet a similar fate to Lurch.

    • an observer

What will the spread be if dead people, cons, and double voters are discounted. More ACORN arrests to come.

      • Jeff

Does it matter? If we win, you’re gonna claim they voted, whether they did or not. So, you should probably just focus on the reported results – unless you want to spend the next 8 years whining about how Barackstar won “unfairly”

Get moving, you’ve got some voters to register…

John McCain overcome the near impossible odds he has over winning this election.

The odds were against George W. Bush in 2004 too. When virtually every poll had him losing to John Kerry because of the unpopular war. All the way to Election Day 2004.

Good thing Bush didn’t become President again, eh?

    • ScottVA

Hey Mr. Bot … I’m really wondering if you have to come in here and make a statement like that if you actually believe it! LOL Someone who actually believes something like that would just read what they read and laugh and let it roll off…. think about it! Scared much?

      That’s really irritating.

And you think coming in here and gloating is a fun democratic thing to do? This is an election, you MORON. Not a football game. It’s about PEOPLE. And you just don’t get it. You’re so fucking stupid you don’t get it.

Democracies should deny the vote to anyone addicted to Kool-Aid. They don’t deserve to vote because they don’t control their own minds. Hope your mother lets you out of the basement.

Oh yeah, that’s how many hackers he has deployed across the nation? Will he be bussing his college students from one precinct to the next? Voting early and often?

And oh yes, let us not forget the foreign nationals who have been sending him money for his campaign. Expect a big uptick in tourism the week just prior to the election for some “same-day” registration & voting.

  • Lindsy

So awhile back here it was posted that there would be 5 tapes released each of the 5 weeks leading up to the election. Since this is now 5 weeks before the election and there has been no tape it is safe to assume that McCain’s camp has just decided to lose?

This news is not good for him. His own blog today is full of venom from his supporters very upset with him and with him sequestering Palin.

There will be no October surprise- but there was a September one and it means Obama will be our next President.

    God help us.

      • SJ

Seems like I am not the only one asking what the hell is going on with McCain, like he no longer wants this.

There is a crisis – for the (crooked) Democrats and Republicans.

They wern’t able to steal from American taxpayers millions of more dollars through that failed bailout bill for Obama’s ACORN.

That the financial sky hasn’t fallen is beginning to prove to even more Americans that this “crisis” is really just about bailing out the “fat-cat” crooked CEOs and Wall Street execs that are primarily (not SOLELY) responsible for the mortgage & credit crises.

Former Senator Danforth was on Hannity & Colmes in his role as the co-chair of the Anti-Voter fraud committee that McCain has begun and when Colmes tried to get him to say that there was no evidence that Obama was linked to Acorn, he hit it out of the ballpark. He explained point by point all the links. And with his flat affect and great reputation, he was extremely effective.

In between Hannity went off on the ties to Ayres and Wright etc which really was a destraction but Danforth stayed on point. He also was incredibly forceful in his support of McCain saying that McCain was right on point after point.

Look for the video when it comes out. And you may recall that Obama used to cite Danforth as someone he works with.

Ha, that’s a good one! I was wondering what brought the slimeballs out to ooze all over themselves tonight.

Newt Gingrich was just on FOX and actually (I never thought i’d find myself saying this) making sense. He says the “crisis” is likely an accounting glitch and might be fixed by relaxing one valuation rule.

He also said that Paulsen (formerly Goldman-Sachs) just wants a bunch of money to spend, as do the Dems.

Why on earth would the Repubs want to let the Dems win this one?

Uppity Woman: More Obama Schutzstaffel — He Wants NRA Ads Banned

    September 29, 2008

We saw his attempts in Missouri to misuse the law to stifle the 1st Amendment. Now we find he is intimidating TV stations with cease and desist letters. Somebody must put a stop to this man’s SS behavior in the midst of the most horrendous media truth-blackout I have ever seen. Barack Obama must be called out and called out loudly by the Law for intimidation tactics that attempt to black out further any information that does not come from him. This is downright frightening. This is a very frightening Communist we have running for office and keeping The Truth from the people with his faux Truth Squad. There is very little difference between what he is doing and Hitler’s Schutzstaffel. In fact, the only thing missing so far is the round-up of citizens.

Prosecutors, SEC Probe Fannie and Freddie, WSJ

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac disclosed that they have received grand-jury subpoenas from federal prosecutors seeking information on the companies’ accounting, disclosures and corporate-governance matters.

Federal prosecutors in the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York delivered the subpoenas Friday, the two companies said in corporate filings. The Securities and Exchange Commission also gave the companies notice that it planned to seek documents for its own investigation, the filings said.

The two companies have been in the conservatorship of their regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, since the government seized the mortgage-industry titans. The government intervention has raised pressure on the Bush administration to hold accountable the companies and the top executives who ran them during their years of growth.

Two other companies that have been at the center of the financial-markets turmoil in recent weeks, Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and American International Group Inc., are also under investigation by federal prosecutors. Last week, both companies declined to comment on the probe.

In a filing, Fannie disclosed the subpoena and that it had received “a request for preservation of documents related to the inquiry from the staff of the SEC.” The company said it expects the SEC to issue a request for documents. Fannie said it “intends to cooperate fully with these investigations and inquiries.”

Freddie Mac said its grand-jury subpoena “seeks documents relating to accounting, disclosure and corporate-governance matters for the period Jan. 1, 2007, to the present. Freddie Mac will cooperate fully in these matters.”

The investigation into Fannie and Freddie is part of a wider move by federal law enforcement to probe the roots of the financial troubles ailing Wall Street and the housing market.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has current investigations into 26 companies, in addition to more than 1,400 mortgage-fraud investigations around the country.

    • Hope Floats! Flush Twice!

Good. That’s the reason all these dirtbags have been throwing money at Obama. No investigations during his administration. McCain was ahead in the polls. They played every card they had to get him in.

  • Babs

Gingrich just on Greta saying the House Republicans (most conservative group in Congress) were being totally left out of the original negotiations, and the Dems were about to get enough votes for the bill when John McCain went to Washington, went to the meetings with John Boehner, and when Boehner told the Dems that the House Republicans couldn’t support the bill in its original form, John McCain said “I’m with him”. That’s why the Dems were so angry at McCain, because they knew they weren’t going to get their pork-filled bill passed without negotiating with the House Republicans. And Pelosi called the Republicans “unpatriotic”, and the MSM spins it that McCain was acting “erratic” and did nothing to help the negotiations. MSM is a criminal outfit in my mind, I hope they all to rot in hell.

    • jbjd

Keep in mind, Secretary Paulson asked Democrats for a bill; and the bill Democrats produced included a potential 20 billion dollar handout for ACORN (perhaps an inducement for the bill). Senator McCain provided cover for the Republicans to say, “No.”

      • Hope Floats! Flush Twice!

Paulson kneeled on bended knee before Pelosi for that bill, and his office leaked the House GOP coup to Obama’s staff. That’s very strange.

    • shadow

You mean my goldman sachs comment? Secretary Paulson was CEO at Goldman Sachs. I believe he got a multi-million dollar buy out form Sachs. AIG just got an 85 billion dollar buy out from the government while Lehman brothers didn’t. Goldman Sachs had 20 billion at stake to lose if AIG went under. Think about it. Greta and Newt were questioning it.

    • http://firefox AnnieCarmel

I believe it means that when AIG got their $85mil bailout, Goldman Sachs kept their $20mil. Paulsen is a former head of Goldman Sachs and as Newt said on Greta, the current Chairman of Sachs was the only private representative in the room during the bailout meeting with Bush. Highly irregular and someone needs to call them on it. And fire Paulsen.

Well Obama did help his Kenyan cousin — the cousin who’s followers then murdered people in churchs etc.

Obama writes this glowing book about his father who was a typical corrupt Kenyan politician.

The movie “The Constant Gardener” takes place in Keyna and it is about corruption — dirty corruption on a global scale. The movie reminded me of the Chicago political corruption (even the murders).

From the perspective of many of us, America is waking up, after being asleep through most of the past 8 years. Just think about what we have allowed to happen. I never would have imagined, for example, that America would have stood by quietly by while the torture of prisoners became actual government policy. I never would have thought that America would have invaded and occupied a nation that hadn’t attacked us and posed no threat to us. It’s been a very dark time. We’ve been manipulated through lies and fear.

Fairfax, VA-Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has sent threatening letters to news agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio to stop airing ads exposing his anti-gun record sponsored by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF).

The kicker? NRA-PVF’s Ohio’s ads have not yet begun running.

“Barack Obama and his campaign are terrified of the truth,” declared Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA-PVF. “Sen. Obama’s statements and support for restricting access to firearms, raising taxes on guns and ammunition and voting against the use of firearms for self-defense in the home are a matter of public record. NRA-PVF will make sure that everyone knows of Obama’s abysmal record on guns and hunting.”

The Obama campaign sent cease and desist letters to news outlets in Pennsylvania and Ohio, denouncing the ads and demanding their removal from the airwaves. All stations where NRA-PVF has purchased or plans to purchase ads have been provided with documented evidence of Sen. Obama’s anti-gun record.

Obama Campaign Cease and Desist Letter

    NRA-PVF Response Memo

NRA-PVF Response to Washington Post “fact check”

“Barack Obama would be the most anti-gun president in our nation’s history. That’s the truth,” concluded Cox. “NRA-PVF has the facts on our side. No amount of running from or lying about his record and then intimidating news outlets in the hope of deceiving American gun owners and hunters is going to work. Those strong arm tactics may work in Chicago, but not in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and not as long as NRA-PVF has anything to say about it.”
(my emphasis) Haha! Probably not too smart to mess with the NRA!

I’m going out this week to buy a gun to cling to.

ACORN is stealing this election, their stuffing ballots in FL. OH, MI,PA,NC,WV,NM. Their going to the jails, graveyards, senior centers, dog pounds, their registering Fido’s and Rin Tin Tin’s. I have never seen voter fraud at the level in my life. ACORN is making it’s member’s register to become poll workers to continue vote stealing and when their called out on it they whip out the race card and scream voters disenfranchisement.

    • Easy to Say

It’s easy to make accusations. How how do you know this? You read it somewhere?

Given the high probably of republican theft of the last two presidential elections–for which there’s plenty of actual evidence–it’s the democrats who likely have more to worry about.

America isn’t Chicago. The election will be decided all across America. The vast majority of election officials are honest. And I trust questionable polling places are going to be monitored very closely by both parties, given the high levels of suspicion.

The wild card will be the d-mn electronic voting machines. Nobody entirely trusts them.

Time to give up folks and adjust the GOP has nothing, Mc Cain is just going through the motions that is it, me am not even going to bother to vote now I myself will call it a day.

I went through this during the primaries and am sitting here once again seeing it happen to Mc Cain, if this is what America wants what can I say I feel its a wrong decision but I guess only time will tell, maybe Americans need to get burn to learn.

All who are sitting and waiting on Hillary forget it she would out of it by 2016, we may be too much in a mess by that no one would want this job anymore, if McCain and his camp don’t seem to have the will to fight what do they expect from voter, I have visited several blogs tonight and most are saying the same thing Mc Cain has no will left he is done.

In that regard am sitting this election out,

  • MaggiefromMichigan

Let them scream. We should err on the side of caution and count no votes which can’t be verified. We need to strengthen our voting regulations in all states. Wish our representatives would do their jobs for a change and represent us. I like it when Sarah Palin says that she knows that she and John McCain work for us. I really like her a lot. I feel like she is one of “us” (Middle Class). And when she is attacked it’s like we’re being attacked.

  • MaggiefromMichigan

Babs, I know what you mean. I have strong feelings of dislike and disgust for Obama and all his cronies (including media, his wife, his minister, ya da ya da). I’m reacting to the evilness I sense in them. These people have very bad hearts. I’m so disappointed that our fellow citizens aren’t informed enough to be aware. I’m disappointed in all who support him including Hillary Clinton (who I formerly supported).

    • Y.H./Rochester, MI

      Dear Maggie,

If we can not change the biased media who failed to provide information, what we can do is to talk to our friends, neighbors and co-workers about how we see Obama. We can also go online to tell people how we think.

I lived in Asia years ago where the government controls the mass media. What we did was to engage in small scale communications, which we called ourselves small media.

It is very, very sad that in the totalitarian countries, the government censors the media. In this FREE country, the mass media censor themselves.

Maggie, you are in Michigan, an important swing state. Go and vote for McCain even if we will have a snow storm on the election day.

    from PowerLine:

Glenn Reynolds reproduces an email from a “reader at a major newsroom:”

Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working.
Sadly, it’s true: it is indeed working. We live in a political system that has not yet been adequately described, but one might call it a “mediated democracy.” Mediated by a self-appointed, generally ignorant but highly opinionated “elite” that is not elite by any conventional measure–income, intelligence, education, social position–but that successfully dictates the terms of political discourse even though it no longer controls (exclusively, anyway) the means of production of the news. Someday, social scientists may be able to explain this. For now, we appear to be stuck with it.

I have had to have a whole lot of patience this election season. When Hillary was running in the primaries I would check out the different pro-Hillary websites and everyone kept saying when she was losing caucus states to the fraud, there is a surprise comning in April, then it dragged to May, then to June and sadly there were no surprises and Ohitler’s fixed nomination became the theme. Now I have been hearing there is this coming, just wait. My father-in-law had a favorite saying, helltootiedamn, if Senator McCain and the Republicans have something, throw us a little scrap. We are an impatient lot. I would like to feel a little optimistic for one day since Hillary had the nomination stolen, that Ohitler will finally be tasting the agony of defeat.

    A great summary:

An ACORN Falls from the Tree
    A congressional outrage. [excerpts below]

    By Ken Blackwell
    http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=N2Y5MTc0ZTAyMmE1Mjk3NGE3OWRiY2FkMjZlN2YxYzc=&w=MQ==

But here, the Democrats are squarely to blame. They have resisted all attempts at reforming Fannie and Freddie, and pushed those organizations to become ever more reckless in their policies. This made the investments on Wall Street carrying those tainted mortgages go from bad to worse, and now we’re in a crisis and on the verge of a meltdown.

This is inexcusable. And if independent voters figure this out, their outrage over this situation will suddenly be directed against the party that pushed these disastrous policies. So Democrats want ACORN to get as much funding as possible, because they might need some new votes in their column on Election Day.

ACORN is a discredited organization, and far too many of its leaders and workers have been prosecuted for felonies against democracy. The idea that a single dime of taxpayer money would ever go to such a group is an outrage. And Mr. Obama needs to explain his involvement with them.

  • camille
