I'm always amused when I read about the alchemist's feverish attempts to turn lead into gold, it never seemed to occur to them that the ability to turn lead into gold wouldn't suddenly give that lead the value of gold, it would merely reduce gold to the value of lead. They attract and repel sometimes at the same time, different times-forces that I don't think can be micro-managed-somewhat like the weather this week-Hurricane forces in the Mid-West, tsunami in Indonesia which re balances any equation in existence before the storms.
