Late Night Open Thread

A smart video from one of our readers. If any of you don’t know the back-story on this video, just ask. Many of us know what happened to Alice Palmer who — by the way — ended up campaigning in the Democratic primaries for Hillary Clinton. Gee, I wonder why.

What else is going on? How are the markets going to do tomorrow, or is it too soon to tell? (It amazes me that the experts I’ve heard on TV say it may take months for the “credit freeze” to loosen up. That may be too long for too many small businesses.)

OPEN THREAD:

  • OBAMA CAN BITE ME

I know the whole story about Alice Palmer. She was in Denver with some friends of mine, and of course changed to being a HILLARY supporter. Alice Palmer is living proof of the fact that Obama would step over his dead mother to F**k his sister. He’s scum, just plain damned SCUM.

  • vinnie

A thug, and a fraud, Barry Soetoro is his name.

  • pm317

Susan, I wonder if NQ should reintroduce some of the posts from the primary season for the GE audience who are tuning in now.

  • John Smith

I wonder what the numbers are for the Hannity report that played tonight. It would be interesting to see how many people watched it.

    • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com UBM

Unfortunately for Mr. Hannity, he has no credibility among swing voters. He’s been bashing Obama every night on cable TV for months and months… it’s all a blur. By now, none of his attack pieces are differentiated from the others.

And what has the effect been? Obama’s 7-point lead in national polls (Gallup, Rasmussen, Hotline/FD) is starting to set like concrete.

      • PhxNickD

yep and yet again today the demographics of one of those polls widens, in favor of the democrats of course! so we best heed them and start to worry.

but thanks to the readers who informed us that Kerry was ahead 15% in the polls the day before the election in 2004.

      • sayitisntso

McCain needs to just start repeating over and over that he’s not to be trusted because of Rezko and Ayers. Over and over and over again. I expect something on this order tomorrow like Sarah’s outrage. They need to hammer him and often.

        • AF catfish

Yes he does Chicago Tribune’s John Kass wrote a fresh Oct 5 column for McCain: Obama and the Chicago Way.

Going into Tuesday’s presidential debate, the campaign of Republican John McCain still suffers from the lousy economy and that Bush hanging ponderously from his neck.

With that going against him, he’s running uphill, trying to remind Americans that he challenged his own party, and the Democrats, on corruption. Because of McCain’s opposition to politicians who feed from the public trough, there is a road open to him Tuesday. It’s the Chicago Way.

Obama definitely does not want to go there. It would be a forced march for him. Obama’s gauzy references to Chicago involve baseball and where he met Michelle and those blissful hours he spent as a community organizer. What he doesn’t want discussed is his evolution from independent Democrat to potential White House enabler of the corrupt Chicago Democratic machine.

The Chicago Way is a road the Beltway media establishment dare not travel. It must frighten them. It conflicts with their fairy tale about Obama as reformer, and they’re much too busy rummaging through garbage cans in Alaska to bother about Chicago’s political alleys.
But any child in Illinois knows the Chicago Way leads through the most politically corrupt city in America, in a politically corrupt state, where muscle trumps reason, where Democratic warlords brazenly promote their offspring into public office, where even souls are offered up for sale.

          • AF catfish

Is Obama corrupt, the way the caricature of Chicago-style corruption is often drawn, with some beefeater alderman reeking of gin, stuffing an envelope into his breast pocket? No, though he came close with Rezko in that smelly deal for the purchase of Obama’s home.

But Obama looked the other way in order to prosper and assiduously avoided conflict with the machine to the point of embrace. In this, he offered Americans a glimpse at the real man inside that nice suit, the Chicago Way

            • Touchet

give me break, you can’t be serious. It wasn’t like he ONLY dealed with rezko to buy his house.

You are a fool, plain and simple if you believe that. Obama dealt with rezko on mutiple occasions even AFTER he had been brought up on fraud charges. This year is not the first time Rezko had been charged with wrong doing.

              • kgirl1028

Do you really want to take that chance with your own house. I mean after all we are in a mortgage crisis and obama has taken the biggest piece of the Fanny Mae Freddie Mac pie and he’s only been in office 2-3 years. Seems to me that obama is developing a pattern, or are you simple to see it. When i was in middle school I learned the difference between his wise man and a fool, a wiseman learns from the mistakes of others, and fool must always learn from his own. obama has a pattern and you are just to foolish to see it, and i promise you fate is not kind to people to know better but do it anyway.

            • C.S.

he offered Americans a glimpse at the real man inside that nice suit, the Chicago Way

So “They” bought him a fancy new suit, put him in a big mansion, introduced him to all the “right people” to feather his nest and further his political ambitions, leveled his playing field by getting rid of all the other players and called him the winner.

Then they decorated that new suit with logos and ribbons and with a Cry of “Havoc!” they “let slip the dogs of war” on his opponents and We the People who dared to criticize him.

And before one vote had been cast they have anointed him and promised the keys to our White House with nary a conscience or concern for We the People or our Nation.

But will We Guardians of Democracy allow it?

      • Newly Independent

        Stop fooling yourself.

The polls have been proven bogus and you know it.

You Obrats will be in for the shock of your lives on November 5th.

        • http://undercoverblackman.blogspot.com UBM

All the polls are bogus? Really? ALL of ‘em?

How about McCain’s own polls that indicated he cannot possibly win in Michigan? Were those polls bogus? Because, I mean, McCain shut down his entire operation in that state. He gave up. He quitted.

Even Sarah With The Tiara has more fight in her than McCain does, I guess. Or else he’s just too dumb to realize that polls are “bogus.”

          • DeaninMi

            Yes,

McCain shut down his operation in Michigan.

Funny how all of the 527s swooped in to fill the gap. I’m still seeing McCain commercials every few minutes.

            Maybe he didn’t really “quitted”.

      • lombardi77

except that the latest Gallup Poll says 4 points. It must be tough always being wrong.

I just saw the Hannity expose on Obama.

Very good and extremely damning of Barack Hussein Obama.

  • HARP

Found this on Hannity site. Doubt that is right but it would be nice.

I read on greta’s board, a woman from Colorado who said that she received an email today from her friend who works for the McCain campaign and that they have audiotapes and photos of Obama with William Ayers talking about how Communism is the real “change” America needs and that Americans are stupid people, she said that it will be released right after the debate, I hope she is telling the truth, it did seem pretty legit, she said it is very very damning to the Obama campaign…..”

Johnny Mac, please don’t torture America. Torture Barky instead! Show him what it’s all about!

  • http://www.theindependentview.com Matthew Weaver

I did not get to read much on line today but did hear on satellite radio either in a news report or replay of one of the Sunday news shows on C-Span the McCain campaign saying he’d some some surprises to share at the debate on Tuesday. Did anyone else hear this and have you seen any further comments or detail?

    • Vicki

The AP posted an editorial posing as an article, attacking Sarah Palin for naming Bill Ayers and linking him to poor oppressed Barry. Here is some verbiage from same:

But while Ayers and Obama are acquainted, the charge that they “pal around” is a stretch of any reading of the public record. And it’s simply wrong to suggest that they were associated while Ayers was committing terrorist acts. Obama was 8 years old at the time the Weather Underground claimed credit for numerous bombings and was blamed for a pipe bomb that killed a San Francisco policeman…

She’s still the carefully handled national politics greenhorn. Reporters traveling on her plane are kept at a distance. At fundraising events she doesn’t take questions in public from donors, as McCain does. Contributors greet her privately before she allows the press in for her stump speech.

Maybe AP stands for Against Palin.

      • Ani

Yes. They were clearly against Hillary, too.

They are the ones who falsely reported that she conceded the morning of June 3rd, while people were just going to the polls in Montana and S.D.

        S. Zell and R. Murdoch on on AP’s board, both big Obama supporters.

      • dpvegas

They’re just mad because she dared to walk right up to them and tell them they were wrong. Truth to power is a foreign concept to all of the far lefty wing nut media these days.

      • http://firefox AnnieCarmel

Amazing that they think they can distort the message to make it seem that the accusations are silly. It won’t work because the public is not that stupid to think the association being discussed is in 1968. It has been made clear as to when he has been involved with Ayers/Annenberg/Alinsky/Wright/Pfleger/Meeks/Farrakhan/and on and on.

Obama to hit McCain on Keating Five

    • HARP

      Zzzzz

    • http://nobho.blogspot.com/ Johnny at Work

Obama supporters are quick to say “This is no worse than John McCain’s involvement with Lincoln Savings, John Keating, and McCain’s role in the “Keating Five”. The difference is, no one from Lincoln Savings, including John Keating ever served on John McCain’s election campaigns. And, John McCain donated all campaign contributions from Keating, his relatives, and his employees to the US Treasury.

John McCain only requested that Federal Banking Regulators give Keating and Lincoln Savings a fair hearing, and make sure they were treated with due process by the regulatory agency. McCain specifically told regulators “I wouldn’t want any special favors for Keating or Lincoln Savings” and “I don’t want any part of our conversation to be improper”.

The Senate Ethics Committee probe of the Keating Five began in November 1990, and committee Special Counsel Robert Bennett, a Democrat, recommended that McCain and Ohio Senator John Glenn be dropped from the investigation.

In February 1991, the Senate Ethics Committee exonerated McCain and Glenn, saying “McCain and Glenn attended the meetings but did nothing to influence the regulators” and declared his actions were not “improper nor attended with gross negligence.”. McCain contributed $112,000 (the amount raised for him by Keating and associates) to the U.S. Treasury. http://www.slate.com/id/1004633/

      • dpvegas

Well, let’s hope they keep using this, so the facts can keep getting repeated, then the contrast with Raines and Johnson, Dodd, and Barky having received soooo much money from soooo many places. And earmarks. My favorite is the $1million that MEchelle’s employer got after she was given her 300% raise.

        • http://firefox AnnieCarmel

One of my favorites too. That’s what will get the blue collar of both parties. It makes me furious.

    • Diana

McCain was found innocent the lead prosecute who by the way was Democrat said he shouldn’t have even been there. Him nor Glenn. I wonder if this is the reason Sarah went on the attack with Ayers, because she knew about the videos and they’re setting out now to trash the MSM for the great job they’ve done. I hope Obama continues to push McCain’s buttons a lot of the stuff he never allowed to be released will be released. We need that passionate McCain we saw in the interview about Palin.

      • Diana

        Prosecutor. Apologies.

      • dpvegas

I saw David Sirota on Fox News trying to garble on about Keating. He was so trying to keep on with it, even though the newscaster kept telling him McCain was exonerated, to the point of asking which part of exonerated did he not understand (heh). I guess in Sirota’s mind, Sen. McCain’s guilty forever. Hope that same set of standards applies to Barky.

    • sayitisntso

McCain already has foreign policy credentials so that’s not going to fly. It’s not even related.

Now, Barky has communist connections. Likely to please quite a few foreign countries, huh?

      • sayitisntso

        Re: Keating Five

Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly.

  • MCCAIN IS BRILLIANT

I know that everyone has been panicking over Obama’s BS little lead in the polls. But, let’s remember this…McCain is the SAME man whose announcement of Palin so DISTURBED Obama and completely wiped out his convention bounce, that Obama is still smoking two packs of ciggies a day over it. As well as sending his minions out to trash her in any way they can. McCain made ONE phone call and totally took the wind out of Obama’s Greek God Toga Party. ROFLMAO. Now, I personally think that McCain took it easy on the Obama attacks until that bill passed and the economy looked more helpful. McCain is a brilliant man. I don’t think they are just sitting on their azzes doing nothing. I met Ron Nehring, one of McCain’s campaign managers last week. He had a big smile on his face at the McCain fundraiser. I think they know something big. Just my opinion, but I think it’s far from over for the GOP. BOMBS AWAY.

    • Seattle Moss

      I agree!!

McCain had to whether the storm and not get tagged with a bad judgment call on the bail out.
Now as the dust is settling a new narrative has emerged where the democrats are at fault for the mess.
Also Sarah as Hannity for the next 30 days should be most interesting

Obama, Alinsky, Columbia University, And The LONG TERM Plan For A Socialist America (Cloward-Piven Strategy)

An extraordinary article at American Thinker dealing with the carefully planned strategy of the Radical Left and their quest for a Socialist America. Most disturbing is that the plan laid out by the likes of Saul Alinsky, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven seems to be accomplishing their goal. And, the dots all seem to connect to Barack Obama.

American Thinker direct link to article:

    Cloward-Piven Strategy:

First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Forcing increases in the welfare rolls stressed the system, but did not break it.

The financial crisis is stressing the system, but will not break it.

This country has weathered much worse, Civil War, two World Wars, The Depression.

What will happen as a result of this manipulation, is a MASSIVE backlash.

It will usher in what I will call, the Spalding Government.

As in “You’ll get nothing and like it Spaulding”, from Caddy Shack.

These 45 communist goals for the takeover of America are in the Congressional Records from 1963. It’s disturbing to see how much progress the Communist Party has made since then — but they can still be stopped if We, The People in America wake up and take action:

  • WonderWoman

From NPR “Chicago was the birthplace of a powerful grassroots social movement that changed political activism in this country. “Community Organizing” was pioneered in Chicago’s old stockyards neighborhood by the soberly realistic, unabashedly radical Saul Alinsky”

If you want to be really scared, read this from Saul Alinsky.

In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing in the prologue,

“There’s another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families – more than seventy million people – whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don’t encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let’s not let it happen by default.”[

    • Dr. Kate

the in your face tactics, using race, class, and gender to divide and guilt trip the middle class, causing chaos and turning people inside out./…these are all part of the alinsky revolutionary strategy and tactics…

this is where obama is headed. thank god people are beginning to see it. Truly the Trojan Candidate!

      • jvsp

No one believes this, but look into the idea of taqiyya. Trojan Horse? Keep in mind Auchi, his trip to Pakistan, Odinga, and on it goes…

          • jvsp

Yes! You made my day, Annie!

        • bemused

You know, I had that idea when I first started looking into conspiracy theories (in general, as a type of mental activity, before I was really aware of Obama)and realized that, while most conspiracy theories postulate a strong driving person or coalition behind them, it might be possible for several conspiracies to converge behind a weak puppet who could somehow cover common needs of various conspirators. And there’s Obama: serving the needs of Wall Street, communists, anti-Israelis, the perfect puppet. But, having been in Pakistan and Afghanistan and Iran myself, I had that same idea about taqqiya. It was a little freaky when an early McCain ad started off with a map of the middle east and scattered random letters across it. There was taqqiya among them for a second. Definitely a message, quickly noticed by the O’s (and how many people in America knew about it and would jump on that obscure ad?) and quickly denied as a message by the group that put it out. But I believe the denial as much as I believe Hillary really wants us to vote for O.

The Clintons, the DNC, all of them KNOW this stuff about Obama. Keep in mind that Hillary’s politics are fairly socialistic as well. She’s not THAT far off from Obama. That said, the Clintons KNOW that Obama is a dirtbag. How could they not? They were THERE when Obama committed the voter fraud, with the help of the DNC, that stole her nomination. The Clintons spent THREE DAYS in Denver, at the CONVENTION, doing a deal with Obama about that BS roll call and Hillary stepping down. Somewhere in all of that deal brokering in Denver, which got REALLY UGLY behind the scenes, the Clintons agreed to support and endorse Obama. Some of us think it was about paying off HRC’s campaign debt. Others think she was threatened to be disempowered as a Senator. Either way, it’s BS. Where is Hillary? She’s doing what she thinks she has to. Bill has been way better at saying what he REALLY thinks…that McCain and Palin are great people. If you have a brain, you can read between the lines that they hate Obama and want you to vote for McCain. Months ago, I was told that the Clintons were having a dinner with McCain to “secretly help him strategize his campaign” and I think that’s where the Palin idea was born. HRC must be laughing her azz off about this woman who is captivating America. It’s a shame they can’t/won’t tell the truth about Obama. But if you know anything about politics, you would never believe the Clintons truly support that scumbag Obama.

I want to thank the people who commented on my diary about whether education makes a leader. There were a host of great comments. This is a great blog, with thoughtful, smart people, participating.

I wanted to bring to everyone’s attention a few comments near the end of my diary I thought worth mentioning, as they probably got lost.

    Rightagain said:

I must take offense at Freedom Fighter’s statement regarding the IQ and pedigree of the Palins. Besides the statement being incredibly classist, the truth of the matter is that the University of Idaho is respected as a college for teachers. Remember, Sarah said she comes from a family that has a long line of teachers. When I was a child growing up in eastern Washington, 12 years older than Ms. Palin, the choices for girls to be when they grew up were bo be wives, teachers, or nurses.

How true. I saw this growing up in eastern Pennsylvania — it still occurs because of an old-fashioned mindset in many communities. And remember that for many bright kids who come from families with limited means (and the Obamas, by contrast, did have money) local schools are often the only realistic choice. The Harvard guy in our family, my brother, spoke today of how Palin seemed to have a refreshing way of thinking about things, and said maybe this is what the country really needs.

Another writer says that Churchill was a poor student. I found this telling citation on the net:

Winston, after failing the entrance exam twice, entered the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst.

    http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1726.html

Some cases are just too complicated to judge. Ulysses Grant finished in the middle of his academy class, was a great general and a poor president. But he was much more intellectual than the formal record shows, as his Memoirs (written as he was dying — to provide money for his family) were and are highly regarded for their literary quality.

Terminally ill, Grant finished the book just a few days before his death. The Memoirs sold over 300,000 copies, earning the Grant family over $450,000. Twain promoted the book as “the most remarkable work of its kind since the Commentaries of Julius Caesar,” and Grant’s memoirs are also regarded by such writers as Matthew Arnold and Gertrude Stein as among the finest ever written.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Grant#Early_life

So here you have someone who demonstrated great intellect in his writing, but was nonetheless a bad president. (I admire him greatly, though, for his military capability and his personal virtues.)

Ask Michael Lewis – he was a young Wall Street punk in the 1980s and admits now he didn’t know anything, he got out before the greed destroyed his soul.

    And the plot thickens…

From the yahoo link posted above:

Responding to the Keating blast from the past, a Republican official said the Obama team seemed “frantic” at “the mere mention of the word ‘Ayers.’”

“The fact that the Obama team is recycling this old garbage 24 hours after Bill Ayers entered the race is a testament to how worried the Obama camp is of an unfettered airing of his associations,” the official said. “Obama is a clever enough politician to know that his unexplored relationships with terrorists and felons are a serious liability in a race this close.”

    ___________________________________________________

While I won’t believe the above rumor until I see it, I’m encouraged that the 0bama team seams “frantic” about 0bama being exposed as more than just a neighborhood acquaintance of Billy Ayers. Here’s hoping this is the beginning of the end!

    • Eastan McNeal

The big problem is that Obama LIED about the depth of his association.

1972. It was not Watergate. It was the cover-up.

    • Goblintrain

And the big problem for Obama trying to bring back the Keating affair is that McCain really took that issue face forward, with transparency, voluntarily subjected himself to investigation & extensive questioning. His cooperative behavior earned him acquittal of wrong doing. Its history.

Obama, does not have that kind of transparency to his credit. For some one in public office, his very secretiveness suggests scandal, & that is a shadow he can’t escape easily once people really start asking about his past activities & associations. And they are starting to ask those questions!

    • 1of 5

Compared with how long ago Bill Ayers was in the news, the Keating Five political corruption scandal is fairly recent history. And McCain was directly and personally involved with Charles Keating. McCain received $112,000 in contributions from him. He and Cindy took 9 trips at Keating’s expense. Flights on his private jet. Three all-expense-paid trips to Keating’s private retreat in the Bahamas. After which McCain, in his capacity as an elected official, attempted to influence regulators who were investigating Charles Keating.

This stuff didn’t happen when McCain was 8 years old. McCain didn’t meet up with Charles Keating over 30 years after the fact.

Rudy’s great with the MSM too! Looks like he tries to be nicer with journalists these days, but when he was Mayor of NYC his press conferences were hilarious! Local NOW president on Palin:

And while she credited the line to a campaign worker, it and the rest of her 24-minute speech at the Home Depot Center rally was delivered with her trademark panache. The Republican hit the familiar topics of the economy, energy and defense, but offered a few surprises as well.

The first one came with the woman who introduced Palin, lifelong Democrat and president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization For Women, Shelly Mandell. While NOW has endorsed Democrat Barack Obama as best representing women’s interests in the race, Mandell has taken a different view.

“This is what a feminist looks like,” Mandell told the crowd. “Like Gov. Sarah Palin.”

When Michelle Obama said she was not proud of her country until her mediocre husband wormed his way onto our ballot she insulted my father and mother, my grandfather and all my ancestors who went into battle for this Nation. I will not shame them by voting for a man who does not respect their sacrifices. No matter what the Obama camp might say about John McCain, I know this is true; he shared their commitment to Country and paid a high price serving it. What has Soertoro/Obama ever sacrificed?

In another one from 2002 (http://chronicle.uchicago.edu/020110/mlk.shtml) s the following:

Obama to speak for MLK Jr. Day
      By Carrie Golus
      News Office

Barack Obama, State Sen. (Illinois), is this year’s speaker for Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the University.

The annual public service honoring King will be held in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel beginning at noon, Monday, Jan.21.

Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School, earned his law degree at Harvard University, where he served as the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. During the 1980s, Obama directed community-organizing projects in low-income communities in New York and Chicago.

In 1992, he headed Illinois Project VOTE!, a statewide campaign to increase voter registration and turnout in poor and minority communities.

In 1996, Obama was elected to the Illinois State Senate for the 13th legislative district. He currently serves as Democratic spokesperson for the Public Health and Welfare Committee and co-chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. He also serves on the Judiciary and Revenue committees.

Obama’s memoir, Dreams From My Father, was published by Times Books in 1995.

The Coordinating Council for Minority Issues, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Committee and Rockefeller Memorial Chapel staff members organize the festivities for Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the University. For more information, call (773) 834-4672.

Note in this press release the statement that Obama ddid community organizing in New York! This is the first time I’ve seen this reference. Plus Project Vote! What else is out there that Obama has omitted to share?

There was a video interview of Obama and MEchelle from sometime in 2007. In it Obama says, he has to run for POTUS now, because Washington corrupts everyone, and if he waited another 4 years or longer he would be just as corrupt and unable to bring change.

I have not been able to find that video. Anyone else recall it, and know where it can be found?

At the time, it struck me that a candidate for anything would admit being corruptable.

I thought, now way this guy makes it far. So I did not see the need to keep a link.

Everyone was so wrong when they said Obama was trying to play the race card when he said…

“They’re gonna try to make you afraid of me”
    “He has a funny name”
“He doesn’t look like the men on the money”
“and did I tell you he is black”

I was talking to my sister tonight, she is an Obama supporter. I tried to tell her all I know about him but she wouldn’t believe me. She didn’t think I was lying to her, she believed I had been lied to. First she refused to believe anything from Fox. I tried to tell her I did my own research but I couldn’t convince her of anything.

Then it dawned on me. Obama had told them we were going to try to make them afraid of him. The funny name meant we would try to connect him to terrorists. He’s not like us meant we will tell them he is going to change our country.

The seed has been planted. I don’t know if there is anyway to deprogram them now. I’m so sad, I hate to see my sister vote for this con man!!!

I loved it for its decency; for its faith in the wisdom, justice and goodness of its people. I loved it because it was not just a place, but an idea, a cause worth fighting for. I was never the same again. I wasn’t my own man anymore. I was my country’s.Fight with me. Fight with me.Fight for what’s right for our country.Fight for the ideals and character of a free people.Fight for our children’s future.Fight for justice and opportunity for all.Stand up to defend our country from its enemies.Stand up for each other; for beautiful, blessed, bountiful America.

Something happened two weeks ago that made me believe my email was being used but I ignored it.

If these thugs are using my name they are using yours too.

NOT IN MY NAME I OWN MY VOTE!!!

The obama campaign in a panic because they know there must be serious stuff to be released soon regarding Ayers/Dohrn-Obama linkage that will show deep close contacts for years with incriminating statements by Obama >there was just TOO MUCH OUT THERE TO SCRUB! Kinda like cleaning a house before your inlaws come and you are , like less than half done and they call from the airport. “hi! we managed to catch an early plane! we’ll see you in half an hour!” And the house cannot be done in time!…. All kinds of stuff under rugs. in drawers. basement, cabinets, garage! TONS OF INCRIMINATING STUFF! Obama camp: “incoming! incoming! into the trenches!”

I saw a slightly longer quote:

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/10/truthsquadding.html

At her Carson, Calif. rally Saturday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was introduced by Shelly Mandell, president of the National Organization for Women’s Los Angeles chapter, who acknowledged that she was a lifelong Democrat.

“It is an honor to call her a sister,” said Mandell, who emphasized that she was there as a private citizen, not as a representative of NOW. “America, this is what a feminist looks like.”

Super. And she hugged her? THAT’s an endorsement from the heart.

And let’s remember this. Obama and Hillary waged a tough primary battle and harsh words, naturally, were exchanged. But I watched the video many times where Obama scratched his cheek, and he was in the most juvenile way giving Hillary the finger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoOFp-RDpvM&feature=related

  • Psychic madwoman

He made the same finger motion during a speech when he was talking about McCain.

I was there too and it was a warm hug from both sides.

I’m pretty sure that what happened with the jet was that yes, they put it on Ebay, but it didn’t sell at that time. That is not at all unusual, and i can not be too emphatic about this, that the only thing more expensive then buying a jet is maintaining & using it! However, when the jet finally found a buyer, it had already been pulled from Ebay. So yes, they did put it on Ebay, but no, they didn’t actually sell it on Ebay, if that makes any sense. Still, it is a great story because a jet is an outrageously expensive item that i would expect any tax payer to aplaud a Governor for exercising the good sense to cut it from the state budget!

To steal a phrase: YES WE CAN!

What I have realized in talking to a few folks is that there are women out there who don’t like Obama but really feel they have no choice because they’ve always voted Democrat. They are fairly easily swayed. As one friend told me, she just needed to hear from someone like myself. They need permission! Let’s get the word out beyond the Internet! Flyers are cheap and easy. Let’s do it!

  • dpvegas

I’ve saved this flyer and will try to get it out. I might just mail it to some people I know.

But it made me think of something sad for me. One of my sisters-in-law called us one day, and was asking me for information on Barky. She asked me straight out (being a life long Democrat) if not wanting to vote for Barky was racist. I wanted to hurt all the people who’ve been so carelessly flipping the race card about. This young woman is a social worker, and is kind, considerate, and thoughtful, yet she’s scared to death to let anyone know how she feels, so she called me long distance.

I assured her that it’s his questionable character that’s at issue, plus I quite bluntly think he’s the quitessential corrupt pol. Then I just told her she has my permission, since I have biracial children, to go ahead and vote against his white half. Made her laugh.

Yes, we must try. If we do not speak up then we are letting this takeover happen. It’s great we are all here on this blog. I thought perhaps by putting flyers around it was a way to reach people not on these blogs and get the word out without having to necessarily confront people.

    Give him this video…..

    and this

How does your Jewish friend look upon Obama relationships with HAMAS and CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood?

What does he say to that Israeli’s letter that said, “We know who you are and who your friends are?”

Does your friend have a martyr complex? Wishing to submit, letting the Arabs finish what the German’s started? Just print this out and lay it on his desk, if you don’t wish to confront them.

Wish I could send you the pictures in my mailbox that show the concentration camps after the liberation.

Eisenhower told them to “take lots of pictures because one day people will say this never happened.”

First They Came for the Jews
First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
    Then they came for me
and there was no one left
    to speak out for me.

A video released by the Jewish Council for Education & Research, which appeared to show several retired senior IDF and Mossad officials supporting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has proven to be misleading, with a number of officials who appeared in the video saying on Monday that their words were taken out of context.
It’s not only misleading, it was an interview about what the next president was going to have to deal with,” former deputy chief of General Staff Maj.-Gen. (res.) Uzi Dayan told The Jerusalem Post. “And to know that they used this interview and took five seconds, and put me in a list of people praising Barack Obama…
“It wasn’t about the campaign, it was about the political and security issues of the Middle East that the next president should be involved in,” he continued. “Nothing was said about Obama or [Republican presidential candidate John] McCain.”
In the video, the senior Israeli officials appear to support Obama’s stated policy that dialogue with Iran would be the best way of confronting the current nuclear crisis. Dayan said that his position is just the opposite.
“I don’t think that we – either the United States or Israel – should be engaged with Iran, because the Iranians will take advantage of that,” the former deputy chief of staff said. “Our issue is to prevent Iran from achieving nuclear capability.

My favorite conspiracy is the 9/11 conspiracy theory–the “9/11 Truth Movement” theory, which reads as follows:

The most incompetent administration in U.S. history pulled off the trickiest hoax in world history, and fooled everyone in the world except a few guys who got on the web.

How’s that for a brilliant theory? Apparently, Republicans are not the stupidest people in the world after all!

  • Perry Logan

You’ve gotta love John and Sarah for trying to sell themselves as the reform candidates.

What are they going to do, arrest everyone in their own party? ;-)

The great thing about Keating is that is all camp O has! Nada else, zilch, zero for the zero.

However camp M is just starting. Ayers is just the beginning and Ayers is pretty bad. Can you imagine what’s coming?

    Cliffhanger!

  • McCain exonerated?

    McCain was exonerated?

exonerate v. Freed from any question of guilt.

I suppose that definition technically applies. Concerning McCain’s attempt to intervene with regulators on behalf of Keating, the Senate Ethics Committee concluded McCain’s actions “were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him….Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate.” Instead, they criticized him soundly for very poor judgement. While he had not strayed beyond the letter of the law, he had certainly disregarded its spirit.

Regarding the ethics and legality of the numerous all-expenses-paid trips and Bahamian get-aways Keating had provided to the McCains, McCain got off on a technicality: When McCain accepted all the perks, he had been a member of the House, not the Senate. The Senate Ethics Committee didn’t investigate what some might conclude were bribes because McCain wasn’t a member of the Senate when he accepted them; the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct decided it wasn’t their jurisdiction either, because McCain was no longer a member of the House when it all came to light. Both committees received much criticism for simply letting the matter drop. At the time, the entire investigation was called a whitewash.

The Keating Five investigation calls into question McCain’s character to a far greater extent than a casual association with Ayers does that of Barack Obama. The investigation of McCain’s dubious decisions and actions are part of the Senatorial and Congressional records.
