I’d like to know more about Sen. Obama’s involvement in the politics of Kenya.

Obama’s past is remarkably unknown to this day–he hasn’t released his medical records, his school records, hasn’t been honest about is work and activities in the 80s-through today, hasn’t explained any details about his 3-week visit to Pakistan in the early 80s, and more. There is a lot more to learn about Obama and since he has preferred to lie, mistate, and omit about his past, it’ll all come out drop-by-painful-drop.

Judging from the troll infestation, the smear merchants attacking Sarah Palin are working overtime. And the American people aren’t buying it.

Why would Barack Obama know they are social activists? Do William Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn advertise that fact openly?

I find it dubious that Obama did not know of Ayers in 1979 when Frank Davis was still advising Obama just before he went off to college. It is hard to believe that just by coincidence Obama chose to go to Chicago. No something drew Obama to Chicago. By all accounts Davis was a commusnist activist from Chicago and as Obama’s mentor he most likely kept the young Obama and others apprised of what was going on on mainland USA and where all the action and organizations were at the time. To think Obama knew nothing of Ayers and other radical groups before Obama became an Illinois legislator is a stretch of the imagination. Seems his choice of academics and training in the Saul Alinski methodology and ideology attest to that.

Obama knew because he too is and was a socialist. Unless Obama isn’t as “intelligent” as he would like for you to believe. Maybe someone should have asked him what kind of newspapers he read. Would have been a fair question. I mean, I’m a year older than he is and I knew about Ayers and Dorhn, and I’m from the midwest, so you are saying that Obama didn’t know? yea, right!!! Sen. John McCain enjoys overwhelming support from the military’s professional core, though race appears to be a decisive factor for career-oriented black service members, a Military Times survey of nearly 4,300 readers indicates.

McCain, R-Ariz., handily defeated Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., 68 percent to 23 percent in a voluntary survey of 4,293 active-duty, National Guard and reserve subscribers and former subscribers to Army Times, Navy Times, Marine Corps Times and Air Force Times.

The results of the Military Times 2008 Election Poll are not representative of the opinions of the military as a whole. The group surveyed is older, more senior in rank and less ethnically diverse than the overall armed services.

But as a snapshot of careerists, the results suggest Democrats have gained little ground in their attempts to appeal to a traditionally Republican voting bloc in campaign messages and legislative initiatives, such as the recent expansion of GI Bill benefits, experts said

I have to admit, I am rather SURPRISED that the enlisted responses are so close to the officer responses. Of course, this interview is weighted to careerists, and careerists of all paygrades tend to converge in their viewpoints.

FWIW–McCain is on CNN live right now (they’re showing one of his stump speeches) and he’s kicking some serious ass.

3. Many know nothing about the show. They may know only a little, if anything, about the NYT whitewash. They are just smugly going along thinking everything is as it was with the campaigns a week ago.

4. Many are just waiting for the debate tomorrow to see if anything comes of this whole thing.

We’re (including trolls, are here blogging because it’s big to us at this point. It will take time to sink in.

Tarpley’s considerable analysis is valuable because we can come to understand why the left has been so impotent for so long as it was the radical agendas of the Weatherunderground, Black Panther movements, that were supported by the financial oligarchy precisely to destroy what Martin Luthar King Jr. was working to do which was to bring the labor movements and civil rights movement and antiwar movement together.

The financial Oligarchy, who we are now bailing out once again, used agant provacatures as Ayers and Dorn to destroy SDS, Students for A Democratic Society, and the whole peace movement by their homicidal rage which ushered in the reactionary backlash of Nixon. Ayers and company were rewarded for their wrecking operations with cushy university jobs and foundation grants.

Obama is wholly connected with these racist operations, and the Weather underground was entirely racist, to which their call for a genocidal destruction of America was all against western society and white people.

Obama’s hanging around these folks is racist in itself and is causing the intended backlash in America- this contentious election tow which all people will lose as both Obama and McCain are serving Wall Street first.

The following was sparked by watching Sean Hannity’s drop-the-hammer expose. Barack Obama moved to Chicago. As a former prosecutor, something started my nose sniffing. Why Chicago?

Barack Obama was in NYC at Columbia University, at the edge of Harlem (depending on where you think it starts these days).

He decides to move to Chicago, “to become a community organizer.” Chicago? Why Chicago?

Was Harlem not in need of organizing? Or some other city where he actually had some connection? Why Chicago?

And he ends up living in the same Kenwood community as Louis Farrakhan, a half-mile from Bill Ayers? We’ve heard a lot about Ayers, and hearing more daily, but what about Farrakhan? What about the Nation of Islam? If you look at the Reverend Wright and his flock, his words, his praise for Farrakhan, presentation of an award to the man, heaping of laudatory phrase after laudatory phrase upon the man, have we followed that trail where it leads or have we stopped in the clearing, focused on the outrageous Reverend Wright, forgetting that he speaks for a community, not only for himself? A community represented by his congregation. A congregation of which Barack Obama and his wife were singularly prominent and involved members (though supposedly never actually hearing any of the sermons, coming only for the music).

Ayers and Farrakhan. Two extremists but otherwise disconnected? Perhaps not (see below). And Barack Obama shows up in town, never having known either. He just wakes up one day and says to himself, “Self, I think we should go to Chicago and be a community organizer.” And he shows up at the city limits with a sack tied to a stick laid across his shoulder, like L’il Abner?

Ends up living in the same neighborhoods with Farrakhan and Bill Ayers? Gets “adopted” by people who enlist a former PLO operative to raise money and take steps to get Obama into Harvard Law School? A very quick rise for someone nobody knew until he hit town.

Later, he somehow ends up on boards with Ayers and with Ayers’ father and brother, though he really didn’t know any of them? Appointed to chair a board of an organization Ayers founded but without Ayers knowing Obama had been appointed? Right.

But, back to the question. Why Chicago? What brought him there? Random choice? I tend to think not. Who did he know?

Or, what did he know? Especially in the case of the unexplored string of this story, the Nation of Islam.

In the late 70′s, Farrakhan reconstituted the Nation of Islam, relaunched the NOI newsletter and, in ’81, held the Islam Savior’s Day convention, in Chicago.

We’re all talking about Bill Ayers, not Farrakhan. Are the two as separate as black & white? Not really. Not in the radical community.

Note that the fire-bombing of the home of the judge presiding over a prosecution of Black Panthers was carried out by Ayers’ Weathermen (indicating a connection between the Weathermen, it’s progenitor S.D.S and the Panthers — I can certainly see a request from the Panthers to Ayers that the Weathermen carry out the fire-bombing because the Panthers were being watched too closely during the trial of their members — but that’s speculation), suggesting a long-standing connection between these radical groups that transcended race.

Yes, we all know about the unofficial re-settling and coagulation of the radical movements of the 60′s (from Madison, WI to Ann Arbor, MI) around Chicago, centered loosely around the University of Chicago, which became the center of radical liberalism in the Midwest, corresponding to Berkley on the West Coast and pockets of NYC on the East Coast. The University of Michigan immediately to the East and The University of Wisconsin to the West, the University of Chicago in the middle. The center of the cyclone, drawing the others to it’s core. {Note: The original indictments against the 13 Weathermen members were related to bomb plots for sites including Berkley, Chicago, Detroit and NYC.} But those connections concern radicalizim generally. What about Barack Obama?

Why Chicago? Chicago was not only the center of leftist & Marxist radicalism in the Midwest, it was also, more importantly in Obama’s case, the home of the reformed, reconstituted and reactivized Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan. He and Barack Obama live in the same community. Bill Ayers is from Chicago and went to Michigan so his locating there makes sense. Farrakhan and Obama are not from Chicago. Both chose it. Farrakhan was introduced to the Nation of Islam in Chicago, reportedly when he was preforming (singing) there in a stage production (before gaving up music completely later at the order of Elijah Muhammad). So, we can assume he settled there because of his connection to and adoption of the Nation of Islam.

What about Obama? My expectation is that Barack Obama went to Chicago for the same reason, to be close to and to become a part of this movement.

The connection is most likely somewhere buried in the “lost years” at Columbia. It’s possible the connection was related to Ayers. But, it’s also possible it was connected to, or influenced by, the NOIslam movement.

Obama goes to Chicago and later sits in the congregation of a church at the core of this movement from a theological perspective. Anyone who has seen or heard the tapes of Wright and others holding forth from the pulpit in that church (including a truly frightening image of a Catholic priest jumping around the stage, waving and trying to sound like a black preacher) would be hard pressed to imagine that someone could be in the congregation and not hear what was being said. You’d have to be legally deaf three block away to have not heard those words. If you only came for the music, the choir would have to sing awfully loud to be any louder than the Reverend of hellfire and damnation (of America — apparently there were no actual sinners in the church itself who needed to be addressed).

The point. These are not random, disconnected facts. Ayers, organizing, connections to “friends” and fundraisers with Islamic (and Palestinian/Hamas) ties, the Reverend Wright, Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam. This is a community, in all respects, a cohesive, symbiotic collection of interests with common beliefs, interests and goals.

Barack Obama ending up in its midst is no accident.

Question. Did Barack Obama attend the Million Man March on October 16, 1995? Has anyone asked him about his connections to this movement? It’s hard to imagine he was a community activist at that time, in that place, without being drawn to the Nation of Islam movement. But, that is when he launched his first campaign for the Illinois legislature, with Bill Ayers’ support. Are they disconnected? Did Obama begin the “scrubbing” of his image which continues to this day, back them, prepping for elected office? Is that why he refuses to allow access to his college records? Is that where the answer is to the question: Why Chicago?

I am convinced that there is more to this than Bill Ayers. I strongly suspect, due to the timing of events and the identification of Chicago not only with leftist radicalism and extreme liberal orthodoxy, but also with the resurgent Nation of Islam under Louis Farrakhan, that Barack Obama’s choice of Chicago for his new “career” as a “community organizer” (I would use the term activist rather than organizer) was driven by both. If he truly didn’t know Ayers at all before ariving in Chicago, then I would wager the choice was influenced more by the latter than the former.

I don’t know how it will come out. But, the one fact I find encouraging is that Barack Obama is hiding records. It reminds me of the old law joke about the cops showing up to confront a less than brilliant crook and asking if they can search his room. The answer: “Sure, no problem, just don’t look under the bed.”

So, in a way, I say, “Thank goodness he’s hiding something. That means there’s something to find.”

Keep digging.

Many of us school teachers were against the holiday as we felt that it was honored more while in the school setting and that too many used it as a day to do little or nothing by the majority.
Another day to close the fed buildings but we also gave the same concern when it came to November 11th.

There was a strong sentiment in AZ not to add MLK day, just because it would be another paid holiday and it was felt by some to be an economic strain they couldn’t take (obviously, most survived). There were heated debates over how many holidays we really needed and if we shouldn’t take one off to add MLK. I’d say Mac was yielding to that home pressure, and it really was more about money than anything.

-I have always wondered, where do these candidates for presidents come from? Is there a grooming process? You actually say Obama has been recruted by Zbigniew Brzezinski as a student on Columbia University?

Webster Tarpley: Yes. This is the interesting about Obama’s biography, that he has these lost years and the lost years where nobody knows anything about what he was doing, we’re not even sure where he was. 1981, 1982, 1983 his last two years in college. He was a Junior and a Senior at Columbia University, actually Columbia College at Columbia University in uptown Manhattan, Morningside Heights. He had started his career at Occidental College near Los Angeles after going to a very expensive private school in Hawaii, the Punahou School. If you go back to 1981, 1982 – you can do this with the help of Samuel Huntington’s Book on American politics, which I quote in my own book, which is called Obama, The Postmodern Coup, the Making of a Manchurian Candidate. If you look in here you will see that they were already sort of summing up their experiences under Carter and they were looking ahead. Huntington is explicitly looking ahead to 2010 and 2030, in other words he believes that there’s gonna be a crisis of ungovernability, what he called the ‘creedal passion period’.

Political upsurge and economic breakdown perhaps. All of this starting around 2010, which is now where we are, we have reached that point.

My guess is that Obama was recruted by Brzezinski at Columbia 1981, 1982, 1983.

You cannot notice this positively, because Obama in his memoires, he has got this thing called Dreams from my Father, he tells you everything about himself, he tells you about marihuana, cocaine, almost heroine, but not quite, tells you all this stuff, but when it comes to Columbia University he tells you nothing.

It’s exactly puzzling, because why would he tell you about marihuana and cocaine, which are bad and than not tell you about his career, with this wonderful Ivy League prestigious elite Columbia University, he doesn’t say anything about it.

The same thing is what The New York Times found. The New York Times, trying to do the life of Obama, they focused on his years in New York City, because they’re from New York and they couldn’t find anything.

They couldn’t find out what courses he took, who his friends were, anything that he did, he doesn’t seem to be in the yearbook, it’s all very strange. Chicago Tribune which is very, very favourable to Obama did the same thing, could not find anything about those years at Columbia.

Now they’re two possibilities. One is that he’s hiding homosexual activity. Obama, I think, is pretty well established to be a bi-sexual, he’s accused by Larry Sinclair of homosexual encounters with crack-cocaine. We can talk about that in a minute.

But I think the deeper level is what he’s covering up in terms of his contacts with Brzezinski.

Obama was a politic’s major with his speciality in international relations and a thesis topic that was Soviet nuclear disarmament.

Now that has Brzezinski written all over it. In those years Brzezinski was on the campus at Columbia, he was the head of the Institute of Communist Affairs, an anti Soviet thinktank.

I have wondered for a while now why , although Sen Obama talks about certain race issues he omits discussion on a VERY IMPORTANT RACE ISSUE: Reparations for slavery. You can imagine my surprise when I got to the last page of the Newsweek article. I am prompted to re-ask my question.

Reparations for slavery both in the U.S and in Africa- Last year Sen Obama supported the very controversial 3rd ward Ald. Dorothy Tillman in her runoff against an independent candidate. Tillman is one of the most important and outspoken U.S advocates of reparations for slavery.

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.

Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign. He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them. Did he ever talk to the executives at Fannie and Freddie about these reckless loans? Did he ever discuss with them the stronger oversight I proposed? If Senator Obama is such a champion of financial regulation, why didn’t he support these regulations that could have prevented this crisis in the first place? He won’t tell you, but you deserve an answer.

I think that more emphasis needs to be put on the Rev. Wright issue. I say this because I had a similar situation with a church when I was much younger. Thirty years ago, when I was 19, I and my best friend who was also 19, decided that we needed to quit partying and start living a “cleaner” lifestyle. We decided to join a church to meet a, shall we say, better class of people. Anyway, we were invited to come to a meeting of young people out age at a very popular local church. It had a popular minister who even had his own radio show. My friend and I started going to the young people’s meetings at first, and then to regular Sunday night services. Well, almost immediately, we were slightly “uncomfortable” with some of the things the minister said. He said somethingabout jews that I took offense to. My aunt converted to judiasm when she married, so I was especially sensitive to his remark. The next Sunday after that the sermon was pretty good, so we thougt the previous service was an anomoly. Well, that didn’t last. We went to a Wednesday night service, and that clinched it for me. He said a few things we didn’t like that seemed just plain racist to us. Nobody else seemsed bothered by anything he said, but I’d had enough. It only took me and my friend three services to figure out this minister was antisemetic and racist. Obama’s excuse that for 20 years he was going to this church, listening to this minister and didn’t have a clue he said these things or thought this way is absolute bull. Just because he denounced Rev. Wright means nothing to me. He has to agree with the tenants of this church or he couldn’t have remained a member for so long, period.

Changing the subject simply isn’t going to work. The unraveling economy is the foremost topic on the voters’ minds. It’s real, totally personal, terribly serious, and we’re all reminded of it each and every time we turn on the television or open a newspaper. The focus can’t be taken off so overwhelming and fearful a subject by simply suggesting that people really ought to be fearful of something else.

Listen closely to what Obama says and what he doesn’t say. Ayers is not somebody he gets advice from “on a regular basis.” No, just on an irregular basis.

Think about it. Didn’t Jackson’s connection to Farrakhan go a long towards destroying his reputation so that when he made his run for the WH and registered 7 million people he could not live down his Hymie Town remarks nor his association with Farrakhan whom he refused to repudiate.

This is deliberate. Why associate with everyone else in this group yet not Farrakhan?
