While Sarah Palin continues her assault on Obama’s lies about his extensive, long-term associations with Bill Ayers, the Obama campaign is madly scrambling and is now claiming that, in the mid-1990s, Obama had no knowledge of Bill Ayers’ background. See The Page‘s story, “Axelrod Says Obama Was In the Dark.”

If any of you believe that, I’ve got a mansion you can’t afford to sell you. But, I know that you know that makes no sense at all.

One blog has gone to a great deal of effort to explore the contemporaneous news atmosphere circa mid-1990s in the Chicago area, where both Obama and Ayers resided at the time, and to point out that it is impossible for Obama not to have been aware.

No. Obama has been groomed by Brezinski, Ayres, Wright to move with meteoric speed into power since the day he met Brezinski at Columbia Univ. while BO was a student and Brezinski was a professor. He’s their front man. They are his friends. He will help them realize their agenda for a socialist America and one world government.

To keep the truth from being told about who he really is, he couldn’t afford to fraternize with average people who might take issue and ask questions about his association with the likes of Ayres and Wright. Heck, even Oprah left Wright’s church because she did not approve of his message, but Obama stayed.

Actually I think the machine planned to run Blagojevich but when it was clear B would be indicted, went to their second choice. That’s why Obama seems to be unusually strange as a candidate. I don’t think he ever thought he would do anything more than local (eg mayoral) politics. He has a good web of friends to go places in Chicago.

I was just reading some posts from the Stealing Ohio thread and it occurred to me, two can play this game…if homeless can go to Ohio to vote for Barack, then why can’t homeless go to Ohio and vote for McCain?
I live a couple of hours away from Ohio, and I don’t have any problem anymore with playing dirty right back…at the very least, if we countered the effort, in an organized way, it would cause the Election results to be frozen and the courts to have to step in, manual vote counts in every state, if necessary. What will be interesting to see is if Obama’s attacks on McCain “distracting with swift boat attacks instead of talking about issues” will work.

I am convinced that they knew this stuff would come out and are trying to handle it with the race accusations, swift boat accusations, keating stuff.

I hope that McCain will be able to defeat these distractions from Obama. I am getting nervous as obama seems so confident that he will win. It may be masking fear, but this is a game of chicken here. I hope obama blinks and stumbles soon, like in tomorrows debate.

I heard Tom Hartman radio broadcast this morning and he was furious about the recent ‘swiftboat attack’ against Sen Obama and he was quoting the article in the NYT as PROOF that Obama relationship with Ayers was casual.

Lately he has been shouting down guests on his show who question Sen Obama’s integrity and he did this morning. Today he shouted down a person he was interviewing. This woman (I think she was with the International WOmen’s Forum-sorry I caught tail end of interview)was politely trying to bring forth facts about Ayers and Obama that negate the conclusion reached by the NYT but Tom Hartman kept shouting over what she was saying each time she brought out a fact that we here at NQ know has been confirmed several times over by investigative journalists and others.
I have been a long time listener of Tom Hartman show and it bothers me to see the low levels he has been stooping too both in his use of ‘arguments and fallacies’ as well as shouting down guests who question Sen Obama’s ability to lead this country

Unless the McCain campaign can prove a direct association with Senator Obama holding a smoking gun puffing goals of overthrowing the U.S., it’s going to be ignored. It will have less impact than Rev. Wright did.

The over age 40 voters have lived through Watergate, Irangate, Whitewater, etc… and they don’t pay attention to scandals anymore. They know they go nowhere. A few people might end up in a federal prison, but most end up with talk shows, book deals and speaking engagements that make them rich.

The McCain campaign just needs to keep pushing him for proofs by asking specific questions: “You didn’t know about this when at that time you were here doing this?” etc. Keep Obama on the defensive, no matter how “above it all” he wants to be.

McCain just needs to firmly say that the American people need to have a possible future President open records to his past–We are the ones who deserve to know these things. It should be easy to open records completely.

Obama’s camp are panicking about the Ayers attack. we see Axelrod spew out a blatant stupid reply stating that Obama had no clue about Ayers’ bombing days…this after the fact that Obama had alrady stated that he condemned what Ayers’ did.

if that isn’t a sign that they are panicking, I don’t know what is.

the problem that Obama has is that in order for him to nullify the Ayers’ connection he has to answer the question about his Chicago Annenberg Challenge connection (the only executive experience he’s got that he doesn’t want to tout). If he can wiggle out of that, he’ll have to answer his Khalid connection. if he wiggles out of that, he’ll have to answer the ACORN connection. if he wiggles out of that, he’ll have to explain his citizenship status….it goes on and on and on, and I believe that McCain has a plan to lay all of them out in the open. Obama will have to shoot down bogies from all directions and by the time he shoots all of them down, people will start seeing that “where there’s smoke, there’s a fire.”

Yes, I agree with Ani who mentioned this earlier in a thread. Hannity knew this stuff I am sure clear back during the primary, but he tried to throw mud on her. Hannity is just really agains Dems and wanted her out of the way because the Republicans knew she was the biggest threat to them.

So–while I’m happy that Hannity is outing O’s past ties–I would have liked him a lot more if he had done it during the primary.

I still feel strange watching Fox. And it really turns my stomach to have Ann Coulter now on this band wagon. I know women should now support all women, but Ann Coulter has not convinced me she is really a woman.

Children who kill are called “super predators,” “people with no conscience,” “feral pre-social beings” — and “adults.”

William Ayers, author of A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court (Beacon Press, 1997), says “We should call a child a child. A 13-year-old who picks up a gun isn’t suddenly an adult. We have to ask other questions: How did he get the gun? Where did it come from?”

Ayers, who spent a year observing the Cook County Temporary Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago, is one of four panelists who will speak on juvenile justice at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the C-Shop. The panel, which marks the 100th anniversary of the juvenile justice system in the United States, is part of the Community Service Center’s monthly discussion series on issues affecting the city of Chicago. The event is free and open to the public.

Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School, who is working to combat legislation that would put more juvenile offenders into the adult system; Randolph Stone, Director of the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic; Alex Correa, a reformed juvenile offender who spent seven years in Cook County Temporary Detention Center; Frank Tobin, a former priest and teacher at the Detention Center who helped Correa; and Willy Baldwin, who grew up in public housing and is currently a teacher at the Detention Center.

The juvenile justice system was founded by Chicago reformer Jane Addams, who advocated the establishment of a separate court system for children which would act like a “kind and just parent” for children in crisis.

One hundred years later, the system is “overcrowded, under-funded, over-centralized and racist,” Ayers said.

Michelle Obama, Associate Dean of Student Services and Director of the University Community Service Center, hopes bringing issues like this to campus will open a dialogue between members of the University community and the broader community.

“Students and faculty explore these issues in the classroom, but it is an internal conversation,” Obama said. “We know that issues like juvenile justice impact the city of Chicago, this nation and — directly or indirectly — this campus. This panel gives students a chance to hear about the juvenile justice system not only on a theoretical level, but from the people who have experienced it.”

I hope McCain takes this issue on strongly in the Tuesday debate. McCain, as a former POW, can certainly have righteous indignation and disgust with a person like Bill Ayers. McCain can validly claim that he would not want to be in the same room with someone like that. I think this is a point only he can make and I hope he makes it. McCain’s convention speech was most effective when he talked about his love of country and his POW experience. Most Americans (except the DK crowd) do feel a great deal of love and respect for their country and would not want to be associated with someone they KNOW hates this country and wants to defeat this country. McCain can talk about this better than anyone.

The much touted bailout bill has failed to do its job and stabilize the markets. That is the result of the lack of trust in the system and in one another. This lack of trust, to a large degree, has been brought about by the current Democratic leadership and the MSM. Whatever they say no one believes. It is the end result of their attempts to subvert our democratic principles and like the first bailout bill loaded with pork, shove a candidate for the presidency down our throats. American citizens deserve better.

I’ve got FOX on while I work and I’m dumbfounded that the idiot reports keep down playing the connection between Ayers and Obama. I’ve lost count of them saying it’s exaggerated and so forth. There are a few points noted how the Obama campaign is “coming unglued” at the questions.

I’ve written on the topic before at NoQuarter and on my own blog. The evidence and many admissions by people around Obama of the connection and friendship is very clear. It definitely is not a question of Obama being 8 years old when Ayers was bombing the Pentagon. These two guys worked together while Obama was an adult. Obama worked for Ayers and together they spent over $160 million dollars. I’m sorry, I don’t know anyone throwing money around like that without knowing the people doing it. Plus, the spending was to fulfill Ayers’ agenda.

McCain is finally taking off the gloves about Fannie Mae, directly accusing Obama of lying.

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.

Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign. He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them.

Did he ever talk to the executives at Fannie and Freddie about these reckless loans? Did he ever discuss with them the stronger oversight I proposed? If Senator Obama is such a champion of financial regulation, why didn’t he support these regulations that could have prevented this crisis in the first place? He won’t tell you, but you deserve an answer.

I suspect, that if all the college records were revealed by Occidental, Columbia and Harvard (particularly Occidental), that is will show he applied with “Kenyan citizenship”. That would explain how a self proclaimed “bad student, with bad grades” got into this college (and the others). Many colleges will lower the standards to admit student listed from other countries to make their enrollment stats look more appealing.

Well we all need to help. Volunteer at the Republican headquarters and say you want to work on fighting fraudulent voting.

We were given cell phones and names and numbers. We went down the list and red flagged problems with the names or numbers given. They then go to the state capital for further research.
