Corsi, Author of Anti-Obama Book, Detained in Cousin Odinga

You know Cousin Odinga right? He’s the guy who claims to be in touch with his Cousin Obama a lot. He’s also the guy who lost the Kenyan Presidential election, So, In preparation for his next run, he decided to perform genocide on the people who wouldn’t vote for him. Nice guy, Cousin Odinga. He’s got the election thing down pat. Kill off the people who don’t want you around and win next time by a landslide. He would do really well in Chicago. Then he could register all the people he killed to vote and fill out their absentee ballots for them. ACORN could help him.

Presumably to shut him up and before he killed off half of Kenya, he recently became Kenya’s Prime Minister. Here’s Raila Odinga’s Web Site, where he pimps an extremely familiar “Hopey-Changey” theme.

Jerome Corsi, author of the book The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, took a little trip to Kenya to find out more goodies about Obama, since any real history on Barack Obama beyond his fictional books Autobiographical writings is either “lost,” has “disappeared,” “never existed,” or is sealed.

It seems that Mr. Corsi has run into a bit of trouble there in Kenya. Shocking, isn’t it?

NAIROBI, Kenya — The American author of a book critical of Barack Obama is being detained in Kenya while his immigration status is checked, a senior immigration official said Tuesday.Jerome Corsi, who wrote “The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality,” was being held at immigration headquarters in Nairobi after police picked him up from his hotel Tuesday, said Carlos Maluta, a senior immigration official in charge of investigations.

“We still haven’t decided what to do with him,” Maluta told The Associated Press.

He said Corsi did not have a temporary work permit needed to conduct business in Kenya.

Well I’m glad they haven’t “Decided” what to do with him. Hopefully, they won’t be consulting with Mr. Odinga about that. Perhaps a few phone calls to Obama’s place were in order first.

        A free speech issue? In Kenya? Really? Kenya is not the U.S. You might not have that same freedom of speech in Kenya.

        If the writer went out there without the proper paperwork (or permits), that is his problem. Let him sort it out. They will let the guy go. They just might not let him back into their country again, and that is well within their rights.

        Most journalists file the proper paperwork with the authorities of the country they are going to, especially if it is country such as Kenya.

            On paper, that looks good. But, in practice, especially in foreign countries such as Kenya, you might not have that right. What you quoted, does not change the way countries tackle that subject, does it?

            You cannot go to a foreign country and expect to say or do whatever you want without consequences. That’s just a fact

      Why doesn’t the media pick up on this urgent story. The BBC, CBC and European and Canadian press picked htis up last January and included a quote from the (then) Kenyan President who accused Obama:

    As aweful as this is, i’m still am trying to stop from laughing. corsi has spent so many years writing questionablly sourced books that the one time he actually decides to dig deep this happens. And no i’m not suprised, how ever obama is offically related to two known antisocials(new name for sociopaths) Chaney and odinga, do we really wanna take a chance it? they say that stuff is nature not nurture.

      I read the book. It’s well-written, and it’s clear where it’s opinion versus facts. Nothing I didn’t already know was in the book.

      I simply don’t agree with the perspective, but that’s OK.

      My schtick is that Obama isn’t radical at all. In fact, he’s pedantic, entirely too willing to go along with whatever the latest bozo meme is, and he’s a Jimmy Carter. We need decisive leadership now more than ever.

          I have no embarassment about turning Republican, for example. My friend, who is an accountant and was always Republican is so shocked, because I’m actually very liberal. But when I explained my thinking, she “got it.”

          It’s the economy.

          Obama had 2 shots. He was asked twice: “What will you take off the table?” Both times, the answer was nothing.

          I know, already, that his plans don’t add up. Therefore, he’s being irresponsible.

          We cannot afford it.

          IF we truly all tighten the belts, only invest in real infrastructure projects that actually will benefit the country, we could weather this and come out better in say…..8 years. We really could.

          But not if we throw money down a rat hole.

            I’ve know since our massive defiecit from Iraq that the democratic nominee’s save for edwards were throwing us a pipe dream. the only reason I wanted clinton was because i thought we could at least get an indictment and investigation of Bush and the Gang after the way she and clinton were giving such a thorough colonoscopy by the neo cons. I thought that it would be in the nail in the coffin for the GOP. BOy was I wrong. Obama has never been an option for anything more than VP. And in light of everything i know about him, now he will never even get that in fact i would take Leave without pay from my job time out to go to Illinois and work for his republican appointnent the next time he runs for Senate. If John McCain gets in the white house. The democratic party is going to have to do a whole lot of kissing of this black behind to get me to vote for them again for the next few elections unless they run hillary and even if they do she might be the only one i vote for. I can not believe what they have let obama do. I don’t trust any of their judgement anymore.

            Infrastructure. During an economic recession like the one we will be having next, we will not need much if any infrastructure expansion. Why? Because we will be going first through a transformative period that will change our habits and our automobiles. We will be traveling less and far less distances. So, infrastructure expenditures as Obama proposes in order to move the economy forwards is another ‘wrong judgment’ of The One.

            You don’t see McCain calling for expanding infrastructure, do you?

            What McCain Palin are proposing is expanding resource development. What we need is a new era of American industrialization. Your future is not in a better bridge or wide road but in achieving a higher efficiency in living standards.

      Index is there but the pages are all gone. Ayers, in his own book, referred to Obama as “Writer, Barack Obama” and this was in 1997. According to Obama “official” facts, he’d only done the one book by them.

      Anyway, will continue to dig on, what I call the Million Shovel Movement (“MSM”).

      Googled (circa 2001) “Barack Obama” + writer and got three pages of hits, but as said, no pages.

      Onward.

        IndieDogg – The book is Ayers’ “A Kind and Just Parent” about juvenile court. Around page 82, he describes his neighborhood of Hyde Park. This is the quote: “Our neighbors include Muhammad Ali, former mayor Eugene Sawyer, poets Gwendolyn Brooks and Elizebeth Alexander, and writer Barack Obama. Minister Louis Farrakhan lives a block from our home and adds, we think, a unique dimension to the idea of “safe neighborhood watch”: the Fruit of Islam, his security force, has an eye on things twenty-four-hours a day…”

        I think it was written in 1997 and published in 1998. “Dreams from my Father” was published in 1995 but didn’t sell many books at all in that first printing. He re-published after his 2004 convention speech, which launched it.

        To put Barack Obama in the same category of fame as Muhammad Ali, Farrakhan and other poets is tremendously strange for “just a guy in my neighborhood.” Particularly when Obama’s book was not well known at that time.

        Hmmm, probably nothing. Move along, nothing to see here.

    One thing that is relaxing about this GE race versus the primaries is that there’s no brakes on McCain like there were on the Clinton campaign.

    The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.

    The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.

    For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac–known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs–and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

    I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.

    I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.”

          Sinclair was arrested on what appear to be trumped up charges (which were dismissed) from the Delaware Attorney General who is Biden’s son.     Corsi’s detention does look extremely suspicious, and further fuels the back story on Obama/Odinga, but there should be proof of Obama’s remarks lending support to Odinga.

He was the “change” that I thought this country needed. The problem is, after much research on my part, I discovered I disagree with him in every way possible.
