Open Thread * Barack “I Am ‘The One’” Obama

The Kicker:
“Where is my soundman? I am gonna have my soundman come out here, so everyone knows who messed up the sound.”
–Barack Obama expressing frustration over audio failures in Dayton, Ohio

On the campaign front. . .

                      - The Note, ABC News

So, is it true what they say about Obama? That he’s arrogant? Just askin’.

I guess that’s how you learn to treat the “common people,” isn’t it.

Ah, the perks of privilege.

You can treat people like a complete ass and nobody dares to say a word.

Except you readers.

Now, OPEN THREAD.

In re The Kicker above — about Obama being so arrogant re the sound guy — this is a YouTube that should go viral if it exists somewhere — that would do more to turn people off to him than anything (idiotic as that sounds).

Let them see what an arrogant, petulant, rude person he truly is…

      • Felizarte

I don’t think this is the October surprise yet. I think that whatever it is will come at a time when it is too late for the Democratic Party to counteract. My guess is it will be the disqualification of Obama by virtue of his citizenship: Traveling to Pakistan on an Indonesian passport proves he was an Indonesian citizen. Then applying for a U.S. passport without the necessary naturalization papers is probably fraudulent too, if he used his birth certificate without disclosing that he also acquired Indonesian citizenship by virtue of his adoption by an Indonesian stepfather. This should be quite interesting.

As far as Joe Biden requesting the $5 donations -they are still riding that dead horse pretending this is how they have raised $400 Million. As we saw this past week, one of those $5 donners gave $10,000 in ‘small’ donations and the RNC has called them on it. But, look for this, too, to be dismissed as racism. God Bless America!

Brunner’s ballot policy illegal, judge rules

Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner is breaking federal law by not giving county elections boards the chance to determine whether new voter registrations are fraudulent, a federal judge ruled tonight.

Ohio isn’t the only one that had problems with ACORN in 2004. They also had problems in 2006. In 2004 when they were doing the hand re-counts it was stopped because of the massive voter fraud that came up. Then again in 2006. ACORN should have been put under control then. Then, not 2008. 4 years later, there should have been a demand for more oversight, there wasn’t. Government funding should have been halted immediately. I’d like to know why it wasn’t from both sides?

But boohoo—here is Greg Palast’s report on the nationwide effort by Republicans to suppress the vote. That’s what’s really going on. ;-)

We have millions and millions and millions of people being purged off the voter rolls, like in the state of Colorado, it was stunning to find out that one in five voters had their names simply erased by the Republican secretary of state. And then George Bush found—picked her out and made her the head of the US Elections Assistance Commission.

      http://www.democracynow.org/2008/10/9/greg_palast_on_vote_rigging_and

      • Rob in Chicago

They had to purge the five voters to make up for the dead guys registered by ACORN. Given the way that ACORN was found to have registered the same guy 72 times, maybe the voter purge didn’t go far enough. If we can’t run honest and documented (with accurate paper trails) elections in this country, we sound silly complaining about dictatorships. Both parties need to rise above partisanship on this issue, and clean this stuff up. Increased transparency and investigative resources, coupled with severe penalties for fraud would be a start. It would also help if honest public officials were put in charge of the voting programs in the states instead of each party doing everything within their power to elevate the craftiest and slimiest cheaters into positions of election oversight.

      • Northwest rain

On page 82 Ayers is listing the people who live in his neighborhood — and lists Obama as Obama, the writer.

There is strong evidence to suggest that Ayers either wrote Obamas books or at least edited the books. The books use language and phrases that Ayers uses when he speaks — Obama does not use similar phrases in his non- teleprompter speech patterns.

        • Jan, NC

This might explain why Obama referred to Ayers as an English teacher instead of an Education teacher when he was trying to justify is acquaintance with him during the primary debate.

          • jbjd

No; having spent all those years on the CAC, which had at its heart doling out millions of dollars to educational endeavors in order to radicalize education, he knew his mentor was a Professor of Education. He only said “English” in an effort to deflect any further inquiry into what these two had been up to.

Gibson’s act with Palin is a classic. I had always liked him, too. I’ve never seen anything remotely as disrespectful as that interview.

Heck, they give campaign aides more respect.

      • FranSC

I wanted to see how CNN was handling the ACORN and Ayers accusations so I watched/listened to Larry King and Anderson Cooper. They are covering it all right! They were bashing McCain/Palin unmercifully, trying to show McCain is so out of touch with reality and desperate that he is resorting to using the Ayers/ACORN tactics. Even the republican, Ed Rollins, said McCain has no chance of winning at this point and that he is helping Obama put together a *LANDSLIDE* (Oh, Please, Ed!) election. David Gurgen and Paul Begala were pushing home the idea that McCain has just ‘lost it’ as in his mind.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, there were 3 republican women on Larry King – Bay Buchanan, Kathleen Parker who stands by ‘that’ article she wrote saying Palin should step down, and former US Senator Paul Laxalt’s daughter carrying on about Sarah Palin and what a joke this choice was, calling herself a feminist. These are republicans, now.

Thankfully, Bay resoundingly defended Palin saying only she had energized the repub base as no one else could have done. It all made me feel like *I* am either losing or already lost my own mind.

They had a poll on Larry King asking which team was using the dirtest politics. You guessed it – McCain/Palin by 91% I believe it was out of about 15,000 CNN viewers. They are truly just about as biased as MSNOBAMA. However, I basically STILL believe, like Karl Rove, this will all change again.

The latest news from Mr. Berg’s site.

Berg response in oppostion to Obama / DNC protective order:
    Thursday, 09 October 2008 21:38 administrator

Attached is Philip J. Berg’s Opposition to Defendants, the DNC and Obama’s Motion for Protective Order Staying Discovery pending Decision on their Motion to Dismiss. If the Protective Order were granted, discovery could not occur until the standing issue has been resolved and only if it is in favor of the plaintiff.

Following is an excerpt fromthe response:

PLAINTIFF’S RESPONSE IN OPPOSITION TO DEFENDANTS BARACK H. OBAMA AND THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE’S MOTION FOR A PROTECTIVE ORDER STAYING DISCOVERY PENDING DECISION ON DISPOSITVE MOTION
Plaintiff, Philip J. Berg, Esquire [hereinafter “Plaintiff”] files the within Response in Opposition to Defendants, Barack H. Obama [hereinafter “Obama”] and the Democratic National Committee [hereinafter “DNC’] Motion for Protective Order Staying Discovery Pending Decision on Defendants Dispositive Motion on the following grounds:

    1. Defendants’ pending Motion to Dismiss does not entitle them to a Protective Order under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26(c) [hereinafter F.R.C.P. 26(c];

    2. Defendants have failed to show “good cause” and are therefore not entitled to a protective order under F.R.C.P. 26(c);

    3. Defendants have not pointed to any legitimate privacy concerns. Defendants have failed to point out any substantiated specific examples demonstrating that disclosure will cause a defined and serious injury;

    4. Plaintiff does not seek access to the requested information for any improper purpose;

    5. Defendants have not shown any risk that particularly serious embarrassment will result from the requested documents;

    6. The requested information is extremely important for public safety; and “Good Cause” requires a particular need for the protection sought;

    7. The sharing of information will promote fairness and efficiency so as not to delay this action;

    8. Barack Obama, as U.S. Senator of Illinois and the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States, is a public person, and his citizenship status is a matter of significant public concern and is subject to legitimate public scrutiny. The Democratic National Committee is a public entity and is also subject to public scrutiny; and 9. The public interest in access to the requested information under the Freedom of Information Act 5 U.S.C. § 552 is a strong factor in favor of not granting a protective order which would prevent disclosure of such information.

    • NCgirl

I don’t get why Obama can’t just produce his birth certificate, and I’m talking about a legitimate one. I am 49yrs old, and I have my original birth certificate; not a photocopy, the original. I have had to show it for lots of reasons, and I have never had a problem with doing so. Obama shouldn’t either. I assumed it would be mandatory for someone running for president to have to produce one.

      • Gal from Tex

you make a good point. I had to get a copy of mine from the state of PA for a passport. Very easy to get, came with an official seal (as do the ones in CA) and arrived within 6 weeks. So I have to say…something smells in the Obby Camp and it ain’t just Axelrod’s shoes. If he had nothing to hide, he could very easily get an official copy from Hawaii and shove it under all our noses and say…SEE, SEE??

      • Carol

Since he has a passport, he would have had to produce the original birth certificate or a certified true copy certified by the clerk of the Records Division. That is if he was indeed born in Hawaii. Now, if he was born elsewhere and his mother being a U.S. Citizen, then he would have had to submit a Consular Report of Birth (FS-240), Certification of Birth (Form DS-1350 or FS-545)OR foreign birth certificate, parents’ marriage certificate and an affidavit showing all of your US Citizen parent’s periods and places of residence/physical presence in the United States and abroad before your birth.

Soooo, there has to be some kind of record of birth whether a Birth Certificate or a Certification of Birth with all the accompanying forms that he should be able to produce without any problem. I would assume anyway.

        • scarface

Not necessarily. You can also show an old undamaged passport as proof.

The question remains, as he most likely forfeited his US citizenship when he became an Indonesian citizen, did he every apply for US citizenship through the naturalization process like other illegal aliens when he returned to the US for good? I read the entire transcript and it seems that they want either his BC or the Certificate of Naturalization to prove that he is indeed still a US citizen, otherwise, he is not eligible to run. You would think that having a passport proves citizenship. That is true for us regular folks. BO probably does have a US passport (which can be obtained with other types of documentation besides his BC), but in BO’s case, his convoluted travel history raised the many red flags to led to this fiasco.

If you guys have time, the transcript is very interesting and damning to his eligibility to run for President. Berg laid it all out very succinctly and the dots seem to connect, so if Berg’s case has no merit, then there is no reason why even the DNC would not comply and just show us the proof to put the whole thing to rest.

I think this all may be coming together in a perfect storm. Ayres, the unrepentant terrorist still dreaming of destroying the capitalist USA politically and economically. He sets up radical organizations like ACORN in Chicago to develop a radical political base that is interwoven with the existing political structure. People are trained via ACORN to game the political system and elect surrogates who will move the agenda forward. Connections are built with Black Theology activists and Black radicals such as Wright and Farrakhan. The educational system becomes a platform for building destruction. The CAC is born. Obama is discovered and becomes The One. He is wildly successful. A national, international movement grows. The system is attacked in two fundamental ways and ACORN becomes a major tool of attack—gaming the political system by undermining voting systems and elections; gaming the economic system by creating a house of economic cards based upon subprime mortgages and using the Achilles heel of capilaists—greed—to bring them down. Like the hit on the Twin Towers, this is succeeding beyond anyone’s wildest dreams because it is not only bringing down US capital markets but capital markets world wide. And not only have they taken out the Clinton’s, done a final smack down of Bush II but they may just take down both the Democrat and Republican parties. Who would have thought? Yes, Ayres and Dohrn are radically and militantly unrepentant and just about to be triumphant. But those of you who see the economy and the Ayres issue as two different things need to refocus. It is all part of a single fabric and none of it is good for the USA.

    • tzada

You are absolutely right. It is a concentrated effort to destroy the United States of America. We may as well call it what it is, conspiracy.

      1. the act of conspiring.
      2. an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.
      3. a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose: He joined the conspiracy to overthrow the government.
      4. Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.
      5. any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result.

What government organization investigates or has charge of this? What group could push to have this investigated? Investigate ACORN for this would be a start. The DNC and caucus fraud would be another. The Chicago Political Machine.

Maybe the NRA? Maybe an ad from We The People in USA today? Would they publish it or say no?

      Local 2 investigates dead voters.

The push to register voters for this year’s presidential election is breaking records.
More than 1.9 million people are registered to vote in Harris County alone.

But how many of the people listed on the voter roll are actually eligible to cast a ballot?

Investigative reporter Amy Davis shows you how hundreds of voters could sway this year’s election — voters who are not even alive.

“All-in-all, a great person, a great woman, just a wonderful person” is how Alexis Guidry described her mother to Local 2 Investigates.

“As far back as I can remember, they’ve always voted in the election,” Guidry said of her parents.

The March 2008 Primary was no exception. Voting records show Alexis’ mom, Gloria Guidry, cast her ballot in person near her South Houston home.

“It was just very shocking, a little unsettling,” said Alexis Guidry.

It’s unsettling because Gloria Guidry died of cancer 10 months before the March Primary.

“She’d be very upset,” Guidry said when asked what her mom would think.

Trent Seibert, of Texas Watchdog, says you should be too.

“This is really disquieting. It’s concerning. It’s worrisome,” said Seibert.

He heads up the non-partisan news group on the web.

Texas Watchdog compared Harris County’s voter registration roll with the Social Security death index and found more than 4,000 matches — registered voters that, it appears, are already dead.

Some of them, like Henderson Hill’s late wife Linda, voted postmortem.

“I would like to know who did it, myself,” Hill told Davis.

    From Hannity blog

Galllup Polls was charged with the responsibility of choosing ‘undecided’ voters for the Presidential Town Hall last Tuesday.

Here for the first time, I reveal (Muhuhahahah!!) the intricate, involved, highly scientific methodology that the Gallup Polling Organization uses in finding those ‘uncommitted voters’.

An interview with one Mr. Oliver Clark who asked a question about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the Town Hall Debate on Tuesday:

    (read closely…..its subtle)

CLARK: So the Sunday before last, I received a call from the Gallop Poll. They asked a few questions regarding my choice in the Presidential election. They asked who I would vote for. I said most likely I would be voting for Barack Obama. They followed with, “is there any chance that you would change your mind“? I said “Of course anything is possible.” They then asked me as an uncommitted voter would I like to participate in the Town hall debate. I said “Of course!”

There you have it folks…… an ‘uncommitted’ Barack Obama voter!!

He freely admits that on election day he’ll most likely be voting for Barack Obama but hey….hell could freeze over before then.

Obama says “the problem with your people”… “your viewers is that”… Well now… having been fully indoctrinated in “liberalspeak” by now… I can plainly see that “your people” and “your viewers” could be interpreted as being racist.

    • Brendy

“the problem with your people”, “your viewers” – YES! I heard that and I also took that as ‘racist’! See how ‘easy’ it is to twist words around in YOUR favor? Obummer and his gang of crooks and low life thugs are doing exactly that! But for the life of me, I don’t see how “joe six-pack” is racist. Are there NO Blacks named “Joe” and do NO Blacks drink beer? Laughable! Joe six pack is meant as ‘an everyday, down-to-earth, average HUMAN BEING who likes to drink beer’ (which includes WOMEN, too!) and not of the ‘elitist’ type who like to ‘sip good wine’…etc., etc. and work on Wall Street.

  • SJ

Oh my we all heard about that 800,000 Obama campaign paid to ACORN, well Obama camp is now saying it was listed under ACORN by mistake, the money went to CSI, an offshoot of ACORN … the campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.

Man they sure like to twist their stories, be afraid people this man is not what he is pretending to be time to wake up!!!

    • Docelder

So what is CSI that he would rather declare acorn than to disclose them? Time to look it up in the 2001 cache. I have had another idea though tedious. Put keywords in Google… translate them to another language… let’s say Arabic for no good reason except as an example… plug the translations in Google and then use Google to translate the results to English. Unless I lost everybody.

      • bemused

You want to know what is being said in other languages about these search keywords? Interesting. I feel pretty sure you would find Soros has toeholds all over, for a start.

      • KsGirl

Larry had an article about CSI, and it was a cover-up for dirty money changing hands with Acorn. It was about 2 months ago. Quite interesting facts. Quite frightening facts in light of everything that is going on now.

Hopefully, Obama loses Nov 4th, and folks we’ve truly got to do something about ACORN, CSI and Obama. We have to make sure they’re all EXPOSED for what they truly are. “FRAUDS” all of them…

      • tzada

Great idea. They scrub English but continue to feed the glee that lies in the radical Islamic. Thinking never to be found by “us”. hmmmmmm

    • Brendy

Just like how his ‘clerk’ accidentally signed off on that gun control bill and how HE ‘meant’ NOT to sign it. Yeah, right. O.K., Obummer’s received HOW MANY PASSES now?? This election campaign is straight from a horror movie.

On texasdarlin’s blog, http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com, they have pix of the obots making that sign & then there’s one of Hitler making it during one of his speeches! How freaking creepy is the obot nation going to get? They have their Hitler rip-off poster for his speech in Germany & now his young obot-nazis are showing their “unity” by doing hitlers hand sign!!!

    • lark

The flip. If Obama wins and then owns the country, and afterward the DNC, the Dems, the electorate that elected him have second thoughts and want back, Obama will unleash a much harsher attack and punishment against them than to any of those who oppose him now and/or voted for McCain.

              • http://www.anvp.typepad.com soldier4hillary

We normally do, and I had every intention. But I think after the “rehab” thing my brain blew a circuit. You can learn alot about the things Obama says and I am telling you that I could see him wanting to do crap like that.

There is a time to talk and time for action. We bypassed talking. You dont talk to terrorists. You dont rationalize with terrorists. You dont make excuses for terrorists. What you do is take terrorists over there out.

I think outside of the box. I dont trust nothing. Zilch. When it comes to “The One”. I dont want Osama bin Laden sitting in a cave somewhere thinking were going to play “lets make a deal” or come out with a video saying he has been “rehabilitated” so we need to call of the search. Hell No. You dont win wars that way and the dems do not give me the warm and fuzzies when it comes to this type of stuff.

                • PhxNickD

you’re speaking to the choir. Ayers and Dorn should have been executed in my opinion, technicality or not.

With all the new technology out there I was wondering why the government can’t go back into the archives and dig out something relevant, prove it and recharge those two bastards with a crime they did not change them with 20 years ago and then execute them.

            • http://www.anvp.typepad.com soldier4hillary

Yep. Never knew there was a rehab for terrorists. I cant believe Obama even allowed those words to come out of his mouth. If that is how he plans to handle foreign policy by creating a rehab clinic..no thank you! I like the way we deal with them now.

              • PhxNickD

that’s how he operates, he gets caught then the crap starts flowing out of his mouth. it is like no one ever told him to worry about someone asking questions about his part

                • http://www.anvp.typepad.com soldier4hillary

When I put all the pieces together of things he has said, his own words…it paints a picture that speaks louder than words. I wish people would just think, listen and not just to what they want you to hear, but pay attention to see the things the dont WANT you to know. His stance has changed so many times..calling people “racist” is not going to cut it anymore. It’s getting real out there. Daily. And listening to him change positions is making me dizzy.

First the Twin Towers, the symbol of American financial might, fall on 9/11…then as the Rich Dad/Poor Dad guy says, on the eve of 9/11/2008 the “twin towers” of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae go down, followed by Lehman Bros and the near collapse of financial markets around the world.

I agree with Jangles comment above…this is coming together to be the “perfect storm”…

    a nightmare.

    • Docelder

Yes, the events going together could be more than just a conspiracy theory. Factor in the complicity of the media in making sure that no matter what happened in Afghanistan and Iraq the public perceptions would be highly negative. I searched the Archive this morning for Iraq and “weapons mass destruction”… From 2001 before 9/11 everybody believed Iraq had WMD’s. Forward to 2008 and nobody believes that and most deny they ever thought that. But before this crisis… everybody “knew” it.

You see, this is what democracy is all about. Is people not knowing but making decision in complete ignorance and setting their eyes on connection.

This is what connection means with regard to preference.

        Obama connects.

McCain does not connect. Why? Because he is having fun? Because he concedes that people ought to be able to have sufficient ability to discern?

McCain needs to connect or he will loose the election.

        • tzada

Oh they will. Everyone does late in life. Just to enter into a new one.

    • McHope

Any chance the constitution can be interpreted as requiring a basic IQ test before allowing a person to vote? LOL!
Geeze! Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

      • lark

This is not IQ. These people showed they were very smart. They were not listening. They were not paying attention. They were reacting. They were reacting to inflection. They were responding to an immediate need. They were responding during a critical moment.

Now lets transfer that experience to our national financial meltdown.

Are we not exactly like them when it comes to issues referent to the downturn in the market and the so called credit crunch?

I think we are. We are and sound exactly like them. America is not used to listening. Not used to paying attention. Like to respond immediately. Respond as a crisis. We are not much different. The only difference is the context.

        • McHope

They did not show themselves to be smart in any way. They showed themselves to be willfully uninformed about something which they advocate not only for themselves, but all other Americans.
(John Stossel is airing a report tonight questioning this very topic, btw).

The fact that they go along like lemmings and lie because, as you imply, they do not understand words but are led only by inflection-sort of like a pet or a toddler, does not support your theory that they are smart individuals.

Also, being willfully misinformed about Barack Obama is not the same as the people of this nation reacting to a crisis for which there are NO clear answers. We have faced recessions and depressions before, they are difficult and require INFORMED leadership.

The only fact that stands as inarguable at this point was that it could have, would have, should have been avoided in the first place when regulation was asked for. Maybe in that sense there is a parallel. We see the same willingness to remain uniformed by the congresspeople who are responsible for protecting the citizens of this country.

‘By any means necessary’ seems to be the theme of anyone even remotely associated with Obama- any means necessary to elect him- be it fraud or flaunting of arrogant stupidity.

    “my soundman”….”my banking committee”…..my campaign…..my people…my pancakes

    What an inspiration!!

I just read on Wikipedia that NY Senator Chuck Schumer, member of the Senate Banking Committee, who scored 1600 on his SAT test, made public in June a letter questioning IndyMac’s solvency. Within 11 days, investors withdrew over 1.5 billion of the $18+ billion of the banks assets, leading directly to its failure. After IndyMac, came Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Lehman Brothers, AIG, etc. The media may have broadcast this interesting piece of trivia, but I had not heard it before digging it out of Wikipedia.

Senator Schumer is also a DC roommate of Senator Durbin of Illinois and a couple of other Democratic congressman.

I really would like to hear an explanation from professional politician Schumer of his actions and this whole financial mess. What do you think he could have had in mind?

Probably a text search of the directories for the word “obama” etc. and these were deleted. It is hard, but go for the misspellings in the 2001 cache results.

    • Scout

Websites may be scrubbed, but microfiche in libraries is a whole different matter. Anyone in Illinois scouring the public libraries?

I REALLY believe that Obummer THINKS he REALLY IS “THE ONE” – can’t his supporters see through his arrogance? They probably call it ‘confidence’ – I call it arrogance and drunk with illusioned POWER and disdain for the commoners (which are MOST of his followers – LOL).

      http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/news/the_beat/?p=161

But most of that stuff pales in comparison to Obama’s comments about the sound man doesn’t it?

      • WildChild

not really. unless you have an example of McCain threatening to drag someone else out and make an example of him in front of the crowd because he made BOBO look bad. LMAO

        • matchles

          Like this…

“It was election night 1986, and John McCain had just been elected to the U.S. Senate for the first time. Even so, he was not in a good mood. McCain was yelling at the top of his lungs and poking the chest of a young Republican volunteer who had set up a lectern that was too tall for the 5-foot-9 politician to be seen to advantage, according to a witness to the outburst. ‘Here this poor guy is thinking he has done a good job, and he gets a new butt ripped because McCain didn’t look good on television,’ Jon Hinz told a reporter Thursday. At the time, Hinz was executive director of the Arizona Republican Party. … Hinz said McCain’s treatment of the young campaign worker in 1986 troubled him for years. ‘There were an awful lot of people in the room,’ Hinz recalled. ‘You’d have to stick cotton in your ears not to hear it. He (McCain) was screaming at him, and he was red in the face. It wasn’t right, and I was very upset at him.’”

          or this…

“[McCain] noted his propensity for passion but insisted that he doesn’t ‘insult anybody or fly off the handle or anything like that.’ This is, quite simply, hogwash. McCain often insults people and flies off the handle…. There have been the many times McCain has called reporters ‘liars’ and ‘idiots’ when they have had the audacity to ask him unpleasant, but pertinent, questions. McCain once… publicly abused Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama.”

          • WildChild

umm, that’s just another example of McCian getting pissed. It’s not even close to an example of McCain threatening to drag someone else out and make an example of him in front of the crowd because he made BOBO look bad. LMAO

            • matchles

So McCain making an example of the volunteer who angered him for making a mistake during a speech and McCain publicly abusing a Senator is not an example of “threatening to drag someone else out to make an example of them in front of a crowd”?

              …Right

              • WildChild

no, it isn’t. It’s an ass chewing. It sucks being on the receiving end of one but at least it’s honest. All BOBO could produce was threats. He didn’t confront. He didn’t take responsibility. He just bitched and whined.

                • matchles

So you are saying that if he HAD drug the guy out and publicly berated him it would’ve been better than just threatening it?

                  • WildChild

no, but then McCain didn’t drag anybody out.

            • kgirl1028

Honestly people like McCain who show anger, make up for it in that hey are very forgiving, they confront things head on. HOwever, I think that McCain is not blasting obama like he could simply because he’s frighten that he will be seen as racist, I think he’s stuck in a loop, if he vivsects obama, the say he needs to think people will hate him, Truthuflly John they hate you already. So beat his behind. McCain has nothing to loose and that’s what he doesn’t realize. No matter how much he does to stay clean he will be judged as evil and racist. So give themsomething to talk about.

          • AnninCA

Reporters often do ask impertenent questions. They did it to Bill C. And then showed him reaming them out and ran idiotic articles about how he’s “not been the same” since his heart attack.

            The entire meme is nuts.

Want to know how people act? Ask their staff. McCain’s staff never reports any insane junk. Neither did Bill or Hillary’s staff.

            BTW, neither does Obama’s.

All of them are quite professional.

          • PhxNickD

There have been the many times McCain has called reporters ‘liars’ and ‘idiots’

He needs to be doing this now.

            • imustprotest

              Exactly, because, well….they are!

              • Rob in Chicago

And the Senators he screamed at deserved it as well. Calling most Senators assholes or idiots could be viewed as significantly understated and damning with faint praise.

        • http://lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com/ whoframedrudy

Right. The difference is Obama used crowd psychology to humiliate a human being. He believes he has the crowd eating out of his hand, and manipulates the crowd to attack someone.

That’s very different from yelling at someone face to face. It’s an ‘abuse of power’ mentality.

          • Brendy

Like ‘gang’ or ‘party’ (certain party in Germany) member ATTACK MODE. This creature IS SCARY. “How DARE he (the soundman) make me stand up here and the people not hear ME!” “I’ll expose this ignorant, unfit peon who’s SUPPOSED to TAKE CARE OF ME and let the audience see what a DUNCE he is!” Obummer wants his followers to gang up on that poor, humiliated soundman.

I think something like this attitude Obummer is showing should be spread far and wide.

      • AF catfish

That stuff is not the same at all. Obama while he’s trying to win votes is trying to drag out some poor soundman in front of a rally, it’s just clueless.

        • http://lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com/ whoframedrudy

There was a rock concert where Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue got mad at a security guard. So he used his microphone to turn the whole crowd of thousands against the security guard. That’s where Obama’s head is at.

      • wry

before you grab a complete stranger’s arm, why don’t you start with something human like “excuse me”…
McCain was dragged by his broken arms in prison. He probably didn’t like some freak casino junkie grabbing him to enforce some silly ass rule.
What a stupid “story”, and from Huff Po no less.

I have a serious suspicion tjat tje reason the Obama campaign listed ACORN as the recipient of the 800 grand instead of CSI is that CSI was a front company for funneling dough to Fred Baron and Reilly hunter and her pal mr young! Fred Baron as we all know is the guy who “gave” Reilly hunter and Mr young a total of cash and services over 8 months totalling over 500 grand! starting in February , precisely the time that CSI received the 800 thou. and Edwards withdrew from the race ! somebody look into this as this could really take obama down as the order for this had to come from the top!!!

Why, what stations do you get?

        • matchles

Only Hannity and Michael Weiner… I mean Savage. I’m getting the uncontrollable urge to help those who already have the means to help themselves. Every time I pass an oil tycoon, I see a starving African child which I need to donate money to. I feel like maybe with a little know how we can return to a better time, a time when the poor weren’t expected to reach middle age or that you could beat your wife with a stick as thick as your thumb because she burnt the roast and we put everyone who doesn’t look like us in jail.

It is only then that I truly understand the xenophobia that exists on this board.

True story. I went to my son’s open house the other night to hear some parent’s complaining. My son didn’t tell me what had happened in class so I wasn’t aware of the incidence. But I sure learned about it at the open house.
My son has a very smart teacher. The other day she separated the class into those who got good grades, those who have average grades and those who’s grades were in the toilet and she then proceeded to take away the A’s grades and turn them into B’s, she took the B’s and turned them into C’s, and of course the D’s and below didn’t have anything to take away, so she gave them the grades from the ones she took away. The A’s were really upset because they had worked hard for their grades and so were the B group, but the D’s and failing were happy because now their grades were better and they didn’t have to do anything to make them better.

Needless to say, she had a lot of parents who were upset. Including the ones who’s kids benefited. Seems it isn’t fair to take away from those who work hard to make good grades to give them to those who don’t. And from the ones who benefited, their parents were upset because their kids didn’t earn their grades and therefore didn’t learn anything. I love this teacher. She made her point.

Now go back to the hole you crawled under.

            • AnninCA

Well, I can only say that I was an A student….forever. I got over thinking it was relevant in grad school, I guess.

One day I figured out that what I didn’t know or understand deeply would ALWAYS exceed what I did, and that there would ALWAYS be someone who understood something better than me.

I stopped looking at learning as competitive. I started really enjoying learning for just the sheer joy of learning.

I hope that teacher puts in a bit of the joy, too, of simply learning for learning’s sake.

              And respect for others.

I now participate in a group where I listen intently to people who have far, far less education. Why? They just are sharing what they have experienced and learned.

They are as smart as me. They don’t think so. But I KNOW so.

Education is important. It’s not a competition. That’s the lowest form of looking at education.

That’s partially why the elitists who bomb Palin and crow about Obama’s Harvard degree make me laugh.

They still don’t really get it.

              • ohio

Oh believe me, she does. The kids love her class because she challenges them to actually think about things. I guess in this case she was trying to show them why it was important to actually do the work so that you might learn. You couldn’t rely on others to do it for you. So while the ones who benefited from the grades, they didn’t necessarily benefit because they hadn’t learned anything. That was the point of the exercise, but old match face would like for it to be something else. It’s kind of like copying someone else’s notes in class, but if you didn’t study them, then you still fail and didn’t learn anything except to copy.

                • AnninCA

                  Cool…..your son is lucky.

I bet I can count on my hand the number of truly interesting, challenging teachers.

I liked all of them, btw, except the ones who didn’t like student. There are a few of those.

BTW, just as a funny aside, I trained originally mucho years ago as a teacher.

I turned out to not like student. LOL*

                  They bugged me.

I went into the private sector. :)

I was in high school 40 years ago—when a class in civics was required. I remember my teacher saying that fascism and communism were two sides of the same coin: totalitarianism. To refresh my memory, I did a quick check…

    From dictionary.com

    fascism

A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

    communism

A system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.

LOOKS LIKE THE OBAMAJUGEND ARE AT IT AGAIN!!!!

Grassroots “Kids for Obama Parade” (Organizing)

On Sunday, October 12, Washington State kids and families will parade around Seattle’s Green Lake.

“Kids for Obama Parade” will illustrate one of Barack Obama’s core beliefs: Everyone’s voice counts.

Join us as Obama’s youngest supporters rally their families and call for change, for a better America.

At 2 pm, rain or shine, children and teens will express with words and drawings their hopes for the future of America on “wish flags” that will be mailed to Obama. The first 300 kids will be given a helium balloon, an expression of solidarity.

At 3 pm, the “Kids for Obama Parade” will skip, toddle, stroller, rollerblade, pedal, and red-wagon clockwise around Green Lake in a cloud of red, white, and blue balloons and a garland of kid-made wish flags.

How to prepare? If possible, bring home-made signs and wear red, white, and/or blue clothing. That goes for moms, dads, big brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grandparents too. Please spread the word.

Time: Sunday, October 12 at 2:00 PM
    Duration: 3 hours
    Host: Erika Berg
    Location:
    Green Lake (Seattle, WA)
    beside the Bathhouse Theater
    7312 W. Greenlake Dr. N
    Seattle, WA 98103

I wonder if they will sing Tomorrow Belongs to Me as the march

On a personal note i find it vile and disturbing that any political organization would indoctrinate children like this.

Politicians are not deities to be worshipped by the children.

Just beyond disgusted with what has happened to my democratic party.

Just fucking disband it already and rename it for what it is. A god damn Cult.

Disgusting! I hate it when people use their kids that way. When Arnold was running for Gov. & had Girl Scouts marching in front of him carrying signs for him, I complained to every Girl Scout office I could find. This worship of Barky goes so far beyond anything I have ever seen.

I was just out in Rural WA — and saw NO bumper sticker for any candidate.

4 years ago there were so many bumper stickers — both for Bush/Cheney and the Demo candidates.

This must be the year of — “not telling who I’m voting for.”

            • AnninCA

I agree. I think people told exit pollsters in the primary.

              McCain or Hillary…….not inexperienced Obama.

But now, with all the racist remarks?

              Why tell anyone?

Everyone knows, you can show up and vote, and you never have to even tell your husband.

              That is our Democratic system.

I think people will vote differently from the polls.

      • PattyR

No, you’re not alone. I agree, though, that it is getting to be a drag to live in Seattle.

I got a call from a Democratic Party telemarketer tonight, asking if I would be willing to help the party. When I told him that I was no longer a Democrat and that the Democratic Party died on May 31st of this year – at approximately 3:30pm ET, he rudely commented that he didn’t need to hear “that stuff.” Then he said if I wasn’t willing to help, he needed to move on, and hung up on me.

    • PhxNickD

Makes me hope even the more that McCain wins the election. At this point I say f*ck them all if they all get discouraged and never get interested in politics again. They can blame their parents when they get older and follow the advice of ayers and knock them off.

    • trails

Good grief. I thought the kiddy sing for Obama was an accidental over-the-top event, courtesy of some over-the-top adult supporters. But this is starting to be a trend. I always thought Barky was a dangerous candidate. Anyone whose political rhetoric can cause women to faint is someone who’s speaking skills need to be reigned in. The guy is a danger to himself and to our nation.

Bring the danger to a halt on NOv. 4th, Vote for McCain and Palin!!!

Well there are two side to that, it can all be a design by some forces to make the economy to give the Democrats and Obama the Presidency, if that is the case then you are right it will end after Nov 4th results.

On the other hand if its fear that big business has over a Obama win and he does then we are in deep trouble and we will be facing a huge recession and very hard times for the next 4 years

What america needs to do is follow Washington’s farewell advice, ‘america should have friendly relations and no allies”. It never ceases to astonishment just how illogical the generation behind me are, obama can’t heal or help crap. He is a sociopath, it’s about him not you. When will people start to realize this , when he tanks the country, cause there is no excuse for acting as if you don’t know Wat about is capable of. Look at his dealings in Chicago and kenya and you will see the picture of a man who talks much and does little.

    • AnninCA

No, this is the perfect storm.

No, it’s not at all manufactured. It’s years of major corporations lying about their balance sheets, running off of reputation that balance sheets are legitimate.

They have been playing games for years.

The chickens have come home to roost.

And we’ve brought the entire global economy down with this type of lie.

People here will suffer. People in other parts of the world will literally die.

It’s why I insist…..honesty really should be our number one demand this year.

To save real people with real faces and real names in places I can’t pronounce.

It is this important that we address this.

      • Susan1968

        Well said, AnninCA.

  • amirosa

has anyone taken notice that when the networks or whoever is masterminding the polls began reporting that Obama was going ahead in the polls the stock market remained down regardless of the bailout?… It is fear, stupid! Investors are scared of the prospect of a socialist-communist-neo-nazist government by Obama and his friends. I do not know why no one is commenting on this or linking it to “the one”

    • SJ

Bingo for days I have been asking the same thing, and why no one is even hinting that Obama’s lead in the polls is causing this caution, wait and see apprehension in the markets.

    • AnninCA

There’s an article on RCP that suggests that the market is tanking in anticipation of Obama’s election.

His tax plan is the death knell to business. *sigh* McCain actually gets it.

I know that’s part of the problem. Not the whole reason, but part.

I personally feel a bit powerless, other than I vote and do my part. But it feels a bit like it’s just out of control with no bottom in sight.

Mac’s housing buy-back is about the only real solution offered. That would put a bottom to the fall.

But we seem to be in a swirl, a storm, Obama’s poll numbers surge, the market drops, the polls surge, the market drops more. It’s destroying people but they just haven’t found out quite yet.

      So, yes, there’s a relationship.

  • Danny

What I want to know is why are Obama supporters coming to NQ and calling Obama a Negro and not an African American?

Barack Hussein Obama is the most dangerous, creepy person whose ever gotten this close to the Presidency. God help us if he’s elected. I just hope the Republicans knew what they were talking about a couple of months ago when they said they were going to unload a barrage of information on the American public in October that would make Obama unelectable. No doubt the financial crisis has probably held things up because it’s so hard to break through right now. Let’s hope they start soon.

  • Brendy

    Dear Mr. Sound Man:

Please keep it up. Maybe, after a couple of days or so of sound difficulties, Obummer will show his TRUE colors and go ballistic in front of his adoring sheep (‘course that wouldn’t change their minds – but if the whole world was exposed to a clip like that, that would be AWESOME).

So, thanks and keep up the ‘good work’, Mr. Sound Man.

P.S. Since Obummer is ‘the one’ or ‘that one’ (however you want to look at it…hee, hee) he is SUPPOSED to not have ANY problems whatsoever. HE and everything associated with him SHOULD BE and is DEMANDED to be perfect! Can we somehow twist his remarks into something kind of ‘racist’? He does that ALL the time with McCain’s/Palin’s comments. BIG JERK!

  • Docelder

Here is some irony… look who is using their personal aol email account.

In addition to advising community development projects throughout the Midwest, Mr. Obama serves on the boards of a number of civic and philanthropic organizations, including the Joyce Foundation, the Woods Fund of Chicago, and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

      Interesting link. Thanks for it.

Check out the classes he taught.

And oh, that’s right. He DIDN’T start his career as a “community organizer.” He worked for multinational corporations as a writer and financial analyst first.

That begs the question: If “financial analyst” is on his resume, why isn’t he shouting it from the rooftops to convince the American public how, ahem, qualified he is to lead our nation during this time of economic crisis?

Of course they listen in on calls when were downrange. The same reason they monitor and restrict the websites…dont let you download on memory sticks and why you cant access campaign websites to donate. The reason why we shred our mail and destroy labels and packages after use. Why 90 percent of convoys are done at night. Why we fly in when we arrive there at night. Because terrorists…you know? The ones the Democratic party makes excuses for. Have a tendency to want information like that.

Dont want joe six pack on the phone giving it all up, information that is, to a loved one back at home by mistake. Believe me, despite how the Democratic party tries to make people that blow shit up all warm, fuzzy, likeable and cuddly. There not. They will take you out, use whatever info they find, and they will plot. That is what they do. This Hollywood version of terrorist the dems are trying to sell..I aint buying it. This person urges blacks to cut off white peoples noses and ears and do with us as they please..”GOD WANTS YOU TO.”

Is this the school of Obama’s thoughts? God help us if this clown ever comes close to the oval office!!

Wow – McCain must be winning!

As one of the last desperate gasps from the Obama campaign, the Obrats in the MSM are recycling the same “concede” crap tactic that they used against Hillary during the primary.

Just look at all of the schemes the scummy Obama have pulled during this election year that have failed:

    - The cooking of the polls isn’t working.
    - The intimidation and fearmongering against McCain supporters isn’t working.
    - The 24/7 nonstop MSM Obama ass-kissing isn’t working.
    - The smears against McCain aren’t working.
    - The “racism” accusations from the Obrats aren’t working.
    - The vile, disgusting smears against Sarah Palin aren’t working.
    - The paid Obama trolls flooding McCain/Hillary blogs, forums & websites throughout cyberspace with lies isn’t working.
    - Pimping the “Clinton” name for votes isn’t working.
    - Manipulating the economic situation for Obama’s political gain isn’t working.

There are more scummy tactics, but I don’t feel like listing them now.

What’s Obama to do when all else above have failed?

    Holler “concede.”

    Newsflash to the brain-dead Obamacrats:

    The Republicans aren’t the Democrats.

Republicans aren’t restrained nor moved by cries of faux “unity” from you phony bastards. They don’t give a damn what you think of them nor John McCain. And unlike the majority of former Hillary-now-McCain supporters, Republicans are used to the blatantly Democrat bias bulls— that spews from the majority of the MSM. So they’re ready for you.

Republicans fight to the bitter end.

So “man up” Democrats. Your day of reckoning is near.

    • John Smith

I agree with this. The fact that they are taking out those prime time slots on NBC and CBS during the last week of the election shows that they are not very confident.

    • fluffy bunny

unfortunately way too many republicans still hate McCain. it’s pretty sickening….every time McCain says he wants to work with people from both parties to clean out the corruption, right wing blog commenters go nuts

      • John Smith

I don’t think they are going to vote for Obama. McCain is not loved by the right but Sara is. That is exactly why he picked her. I don’t believe the republicans will switch sides in this election. They are very unified unlike in 2006.

      • Newly Independent

unfortunately way too many republicans still hate McCain.

May be true – but they LOVE Sarah Palin.

She will be enough to drive the vast majority of the Republicans to the polls. Add to their numbers many of us former Hillary supporters (Independents & Democrats), and we’ll have a McCain victory on November 5th.

      • tzada

The operative word is commentators….they don’t speak for me. Doesn’t matter what McCain says or does or what they may fabricate to accuse him or Sarah of, this much is true. I will NEVER vote for Obama…. It is also true that millions of like minded people will not be steered toward Barack Obama and the agenda behind him.

In my opinion they think that they have a puppet that they can and will control. This I doubt. In my opinion they will be the first to go, starting with any women. How many women are in power with Islam or Russia? He may keep his Iranian sidekick and Michelle….

  • John Smith

We still have almost 4 weeks to go. The market can only fall so many more times before it will be out of the news cycle. It takes about 72 hours for it to disappear and people to start to forget about it. I believe this is the last week that the market has fallen as dramatically as it did in the last couple of days. Everybody knows the banks are not doing to well and the government will start spending the 700 billion next week which will put money back into the system. Once the market stabilizes people will get use to the fact that the only place we have to go from here is up.

In two weeks the focus will not be on the economy as much as it will be on the fact that when people go get gas they will be paying less then $3 a gallon. The whole sale price of gas is $1.97 right now. taxes only make up about 50 to 60 cents of each gallon of gas. So, we could see gas being around 2.50 by the end of next week. Peoples perception of the economy will improve overnight once they don’t have to spend $100 to put gas in their SUV but more like $60.

The economy is really about perception. If people think they have money they will spend more. This doom and gloom is a media creation. They have been screaming that the sky is falling for the past 3 weeks. They are now telling us that GM will go out of business. Like that is really going to happen. The government would never let that happen. It would devastate so many businesses.

So hang in there and just focus on voter turnout.

    • AnninCA

Good point……I think, as I posted, that this could be a good crisis.

  • Susan1968

Just imagine what CNN & MSNBC would be reporting IF McCain had …

… launched his political career in the home of a guy who bombed buildings 40 years ago and then proceeded to sit on boards with him, funnel state money to him, and had gone on to write a glowing review of the former bomber’s book.

… collected an estimated $4 to 10-million in donations from overseas (which is against the law), a good chunck coming from the middle east.

… remained with a spiritual advisor for 20 years who had espoused anti-USA dreck from his pulpit and then had this same man serve as pastor at his wedding and childrens’ baptisms.

… entered into a shady real estate deal with an Iranian-born “money for political influence” fraudster who was under FBI investigation at the time (which was reported in newspapers) and was indicted 3 months after the real estate deal.

If McCain had been guilty of even one of the above, you can imagine how CNN and MSNBC would be reporting ad nauseum.

Yet Obama is guilty of all of the above (and more) and somehow even asking questions about these things is proof you’re racist.

    • KathyNeocon

OMG if this was McCain, the media would have crucified him long ago and he’d be locked up in a federal prison by now. Instead since it’s The Precious, the media is telling us we can’t see his middle name, HUSSEIN, because ‘sniff’ it hurts his feelings and saying his name means we’re racists.
Not sure is this 1984 or Animal Farm revisited? I need to dust those off and read them again before Election Day.

    Last Updated: 31/8/2006
RESPONSE TO AMERICAN SENATOR BARACK OBAMA’S POORLY INFORMED COMMENTS ABOUT TERRORISM, WANTED GENOCIDE CRIMINALS AND GOVERNANCE IN KENYA

Senator Barack Obama indicated that he was visiting Africa to help nurture relations between the continent and the United States. His mission, therefore, was warmly welcomed by the Government and the people of Kenya. The fact that he has roots in Kenya endeared him to the people of this country.

However, during his public address at the University of Nairobi, Senator Obama made extremely disturbing statements on issues which it is clear, he was very poorly informed, and on which he chose to lecture the Government and the people of Kenya on how to manage our country.

We would like to make the following facts clear:

    a) Kenya is no less vulnerable to terrorism than the United States or any other country. Kenya has in the past suffered incidents of terrorism because of our friendship with the United States and not because as a people, we are less efficient in the management of our security. Indeed, his own country and other countries with higher levels of development, have had more incidences of terrorism despite their sophisticated security systems. Therefore, blaming terrorist attacks in Kenya on possible corruption is highly misplaced and insincere. Using his logic, then, it follows that the terrorist attacks in the United States and other countries are as a result of corrupt border and customs police in his own country and other countries which have experienced incidents of terrorism.

    b) The allegation that wanted Rwandese genocide fugitive Felicen Kabuga may have purchased safe haven in Kenya is an insult to the people of this country and negates the fact that Kenya, Rwanda and the United Nations have an excellent track record in collaboration in the search and apprehending of Rwandese suspects. This country has turned over to the United Nations Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda the highest number of genocidal suspects for trial. For that reason also, this country cannot be a safe haven for any genocide suspect and especially Kabuga. If it was an issue of corruption money, as Senator Obama states, then the bounty of US$5 million (Kshs 365 million) being offered by the United States for the apprehension of Kabuga, would be irresistible to the alleged corrupt police. If anybody knows where Kabuga is, this Government would like to know so that we can apprehend him immediately and hand him over to the tribunal.

    c) Senator Obama enjoyed the vibrant freedom of expression and wide democratic space existing in this country, during his tour. Instead of acknowledging this big leap in this country, he chose to dwell on none issues as far as the governance of this country is concerned. He ignored the fact that strengthening of democracy and institutions of Governance has been the strongest thrust of this Government. Today, every Kenyan can openly talk about and address issues of corruption without fear and associate himself or herself to any political party he or she chooses. Bold decisions have made to bring down the rate of corruption with great success. For example, the success in our fighting corruption is evidenced by the fact that Kenya is one of the best performing countries in Africa in the collection of public revenue and the economy has had a turn-around from near zero percent (0%), three years ago, to about six percent (6%) economic growth today. This cannot be achieved in a country, which Senator Obama says, is experiencing a “corruption crisis.”

    d) Senator Obama also trivialized the harmony and peaceful co-existence that exists between different ethnic groups and races that live in this country, and chose to magnify tribalism as a major problem in this country.

During Senator Obama’s visit, the Government spared no effort in making his stay and travel all over the country enjoyable and fulfilling. Senator Barack Obama is welcome to come again to learn more about the country, the Government and the people of this country.

What makes these fraudulent registrations also a BIG problem is that the polls that are showing Obama leading by large numbers are weighted to reflect the registration numbers in the states. So if Ohio reflects as an example that 40% of registered voters in OH are DEMS and 33% are REP, then when they publish polls they adjust the actual numbers they receive to reflect the % of party registration. Which means that if the actual party affiliation of registered voters is not skewed in favor of DEMs as much as all these new registrations would appear to be, the polls may be all WRONG.

prepare for major fireworks if the polls and election results don’t match.

    • AnninCA

Well, the polls also don’t decide elections.

Frankly, I think ACORN is more a pain the butt for registrars.

They are more of a pest than anything more.

Here is an amusing piece that was written about Obummer losing his cool and calling out the poor soundman:

“There was clearly an audio problem in the minor league baseball park that is the home to the Dayton Dragons. Several times during Obama’s speech, people in the audience complained that they could not hear. At one point, he told the people sitting behind him, “I can’t turn around the whole time.” When the sound didn’t improve, he asked somewhat peevishly, “what’s the problem now?” Then, in the type of political swipe normally reserved for Republicans, he said, “Where is my sound man? I am gonna have my sound man come out here, so everyone knows who messed up the sound.”

“Luckily for the sound man, the audio improved, and the audience never got to see him publicly shamed.”

    • Rob in Chicago

      “I can’t turn around the whole time…”

Jeeze-Louise, he’s spent his entire political career spinning like a top, and he can’t manage to keep spinning for a few more minutes ?

This election has me very worried. So many things to consider.
    written by J. Hansen, October 10, 2008

This election has me very worried. So many things to consider.
I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking— “where did the money come from for Obama”. I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.
I started looking into Obama’s life.
Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental; he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies.
“Barry” (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.
During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a “round the world” trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate’s family, then off to Africa to visit his father’s family.
My question – Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry.
Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It’s not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.
By “chance” he met Antoin “Tony” Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named “Entrepreneur of the Decade” by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association”.
About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented “Rezar” which is Rezko’s firm. Rezko was one of Obama’s first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with “seed money” for his U.S. Senate race.
In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans – Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko’s wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama’s new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.
Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama’s boss. She is now Obama’s chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran. Do we see a pattern here? Or, am I going crazy? On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was “sacked” after the press found out he was having regular contacts with “Hamas “, which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama’s visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will “Take care of things”.Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those “small” Internet campaign contributions for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East? And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on “This Week” with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, “My Muslim faith”. When questioned, “he made a mistake”. Some mistake!
All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it – Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times – Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times – September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.Now the BIG question – If I found out all this information on my own, why haven’t all of our “intelligent” members of the press been reporting this?A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear – “Beware of the enemy from within.”

  • Perry Logan

I’d like to note a mind-boggling irony of this election.

The original reaction by Democrats against Obama, back during the primary, was based largely on the vicious and misogynist attacks on Hillary. Concerned Democrats realized Obama and his gang were more like nasty neocons than normal Democrats, and PUMA was born. They realized to their horror that they might even have to cast a protest vote for the Republican candidate.

Now things have changed considerably, and many PUMAs have gone so far as to actually join the Republican Party.

The poor dears…what could they be thinking? They have joined the party that attacked Hillary in the first place. They have joined forces with the party that INVENTED Hillary-smearing. That’s exceedingly ironic, isn’t it?

    • bemused

Remember Hillary started out as a Republican and the “party left her.” These PUMAs feel the same way. The whole thing is, Perry, organizations are only the sum of their individuals. They don’t really take on their own existence. And when the individuals change, the organization does too. You are upset because you wanted Democratic revenge over Republicans this year and yet it looks like it is some Republicans who will save the more noble Dems. You have sold yourself the idea that a name changes the character of its owner. I would say that I am the same person as an Arizonan that I was as a Californian. It’s stereotyping to paint all members of a group as identical.

  • Kwaayesnama

Do you ever wonder why so many people are supporting Barack Hussein Obama?

Could it be that this nation is becoming colorblind and does not care if a good person is black, white, red or tan?

Could it be that the American people don’t care if a person worships as a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or Jew?

Could it be that the American people remember Bush and McCain looking into our eyes and saying, believe me there are weapons of mass destruction?

Could it be that the American people are shell shocked that over 4,000 precious lives have been lost fighting the wrong war in the wrong country against the wrong enemy?

Could it be that Americans care about the nations economy and are worried about their futures?

Could it be that the American people realize that Carl Rove politics brought our nation to where it is today? :-(

    • OhioMary

Could it be that Obama won the Primary through voter fraud and may win the election through voter fraud. As far as I am concerned that makes him a cheater and a sham and undeserving of any respect or adulation.

This wasn’t a “metaphor” of mine, it happened at my son’s school. But hey, you’re more than welcomed to try to explain everything away to fit your ideals. By the way, my son is one of those A’s and he works very hard at it. No one does his homework except him and had he told me what had happened, I would have been all over the teacher as well. If you work for it, then you deserve it. You have a problem with that than go to one of your socialist countries that practice the ideals you so love. And Obama got his help to Harvard because of a few phone calls and letters. Three of my children went to college, without that kind of help, being black and absolutely no hand-outs. No rich Arab guy going to bat for them. So by your theory, Obama got a leg up and he didn’t deserve it more than my kids. The difference is my kids have a strong sense in self, and like to achieve their goals on their own. But hey, if I could have a look at Obama’s grades at Columbia or Harvard, then maybe I could judge whether he deserved to be there or not. Why not ask him for us, will you? I’d like to see his transcripts.

What evidence do you have that shows Obama didn’t get into school on merit? The guy graduated Magna Cum Laude and was the president of the Harvard Law Review. The mark of a bright person is to understand the scope of one’s responsibilities and execute.

Sarah is executing her VP candidacy role to such an extent, she’s upset the opposition.

She’s drawing in money. She’s drawing in huge crowds. She rallied the base. And…..she’s effectively turned the dialogue so that the opponent is on the defensive.

That, my dear, is a successful VP candidate.

It doesn’t matter one whit if Tina Fey mocks her. She’ll handle that deftly.

She really can dress a moose. :)

  • ohio

Again, where are his grades and transcripts? He had them sealed so what knowledge do you actually have about them? From what he said? We already know that Michelle said her grades were sub-par to even get into college. My kids grades were excellent. So please tell me master, where are the transcripts? I would like to see them. And while you’re at it, I have one more to put through school, so could you maybe hook me up with the rich Arab for donating money? I hear he raise a lot of money for Obama.

And that’s funny, I don’t remember Obama actually writing anything for the Review. Do you have copies of those as well? You seem “so knowledgeable” of these things. And as far as Obama getting in on merit, we just don’t know now do we. Other than he had letters and pull on his behalf. But what were his grades like? If they were so good, then why not produce the transcripts. Why have them sealed. I mean, you would think “the one” would want them out there for the world to see. Come on master, get them for us. Ye who knows so much. Geeez you are such a moron.

Americans who are very afraid of the neo-Dem agenda, and terrified of Obama and his terrorist connections. I pray too.

    McPalin 2008.

  • ohio

Actually wildchild, I pitched for my softball team, so I can throw stones quite nicely. lol

  • AnninCA

Not me, although I’m voting McCain.

The situation has deteriorated well beyond politics.

    The disaster has already occurred.

It has nothing to do with Obama.

He’s just a product of corruption, but so many others were also.

There is nothing unusual about Obama.

He’s just gaming the corrupt system, which is why it’s already devolved.

I’m sorry to introduce a new topic, but they put Martha Stewart in jail? Yet AIG takes the bailout money and then spends 400,000 grand on some idiotic week away where spa treatments are a part of the executive perks?

That says it all about the problem to me.

I was a part of the S&L deal. Believe me. It was nothing close to that outrageously disrespectful.

And we stripped real stockholders of every penny, too.

but at LEAST it wasn’t for facials.

  • ohio

    Troll shift change?

  • Susan1968

Last election, on this very day , Kerry’s lead over Bush was larger than Obama’s lead over McCain.

We know how that turned out.

  • Newly Independent

    ….landslide Obama victory

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!

You stupid jokers will “slide” under rocks on November 5th when McCain finally shuts Obama down.

It will be fun to see you bastards disappear once and for all.

  • fluffy bunny

huh? I never said they were smart, just that they go ballistic and scream and vent against McCain. it’s mostly bitter Ron Paul and Bob Barr extreme right wingers, but unfortunately they may sit home. it’s the types who spread all the crazy crap about the Clintons over the past 15 years, and unfortunately Rove gave them a seat at the table.

  • matchles

“As for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day?” — Sarah Palin

Yeah, unfortunately she doesn’t know the scope of her responsibilities. She’s upset the opposition because she is going around the country calling Obama a terrorist by association. That isn’t turning the dialogue her rallies do little more than incite hatred and vitriol against Obama. That isn’t a dialogue.

This is what a Palin rally stirs up…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjxzmaXAg9E

What she is doing is not the mark of a good VP, it is dangerous. Look at the “writer” she quoted during her VP acceptance speech

Fascist writer Westbrook Pegler, an avowed racist who Sarah Palin approvingly quoted in her acceptance speech for the moral superiority of small town values, expressed his fervent hope about my father, Robert F. Kennedy, as he contemplated his own run for the presidency in 1965, that “some white patriot of the Southern tier will spatter his spoonful of brains in public premises before the snow flies.”

You are an intelligent person, maybe you can remind me what happened to RFK?

  • cynic

Last year, on this very day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at the highest point in its entire history…

  • WildChild

This was the line she used that you are complaining about…

“We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty and sincerity and dignity”,

LOL I can see how a BOBOweenie might have a problem with that.

  • AnninCA

Sarah answered that one. She was making a joke.

    Now, you’ve lost me…..RFK?

  • matchles

I’m not complaining about the line, I’m complaining about who she got the line from. For someone so quick to jump on the guilt by association bandwagon in even the most tenuous of associations between Obama and anyone questionable. I find it interesting that you have no problem with the woman quoting an Anti-Semitic Racist who called for the assassination of people who disagreed with him.

  • kgirl1028

Ok that’s were i fraken draw the line. First off, do you memeber the primaries, do you remember how he got his surrogates to call the clintons racist when they had done nothing of the sort and turned blacks on them, and how about that time he scratched his knows his face with his middle finger, and did you know Obama was airing ads in majority black cities showing marches from the 1960′s as people were hosed and attacked by dogs, and that isn’t being irrefraken responsible. It’s amazing you come on this board, and try to slander palin. You bots have got to e the stupidest people on earth. And honestly i find obama’s usage of in events that in no way shape or form apply to him, insulting. obama’s father was the son of the Well to do Kenyan, and was allowed to go to Harvard when my parents couldn’t drink out the same water fountains as whites.

Also Palin did not call obama a terrorist because of his association with Ayers she was a calling him on his judgement. So get the statement straight or dont use it , i’s amazing how immature obama supporters are.

  • AnninCA

No, I thought Obama was horrifically irresponsible in stirring up race relations in the primaries.

    I was shocked, in fact.

He has no consience in my opinion.

He has stirred it up but good.

    At this point?

    Let it rip.

We’re in a financial crisis of the type of magnitude that is historical.

We can also see “blood run in the streets.’

    It usually goes together.

I am surprised to see it in my lifetime, but Obama opened that door.

  • WildChild

this was the line she used that you are complaining about…

“We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty and sincerity and dignity”,

now as far as people cat calling BOBO a terrorist, If he didn’t want to be associated with terrorists, then he shouldn’t associate with terrorists.

  • matchles

I’d love to see the hearsay stories you guys post to justify that it was Obama stirring up racial tension in the primaries.

    Why not, links please.

Meanwhile, it’s nice that everyone was so dismissive of what I was trying to address. I’m not the only one who feels this way about McCain and Palin lately

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jeffrey-feldman/is-palin-trying-to-incite_b_132534.html

  • WildChild
  • matchles

Your evidence is a memo (that was never sent to the press) that highlighted things said by the press?

All that post really highlights is that no one from the Obama campaign played a role in what was said. At most that memo looks like a catch up on what was said.

I’m sorry but until you have quotes from campaign staffers linking Clinton’s comments with racism it looks like your beef is with the media.

  • WildChild

Sending it to the press would have been respectable. LOL BOBO sent it to an “activist”. The ensuing stirring of racial tensions is history.

  • AnninCA

You know, if you’d like to believe in Obama as being something other than a politician who lies and plays the game, go ahead.

My point is that all of this stuff is irrelevant.

    It doesn’t matter who wins.

We are so in the dumper.

There is no money. There will be no money for any health care plan, or military excursion to Afghanastan, or deal with immigration.

You just are not getting the reality.

    We’re broke.

Obama has been asked 3 times now, what will you change?

    His answer? Nothing.

    That’s ridiculous.

    There is no money.

Al Kaida won, just like we beat Russia.

    We’re broke.

  • matchles

Your probably right. Whoever gets the job is going to have a hard time. But I would argue that it isn’t irrelevant. Inciting hatred toward Obama or across the aisle in either direction is bad. We are broke, but that doesn’t mean you sell out education or health care.

Also you mischaracterized the question and Obama’s answer. The question was what would you change in your platform. His answer was that he would have to wait on some of his programs and policies, for instance, not upping the capital gains tax when the market is so weak. He also said by getting out of Iraq and increasing the taxes of the richest that we would have more money coming in. It may not be the answer you wanted to hear but don’t say he didn’t have one.

  • matchles

Alright kiddies, it’s been fun. Adieu

    [ADMINISTRATOR: Goodbye to you too.]

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of Planet Triskelion | 2

The fact is there is a problem with your argument. The problem is you can’t prove the polling data was gathered the same way. You can’t also prove the accuracy of the polling data. I don’t trust the polling data on Obama.

  • KathyNeocon

How’s the graveyard ‘Bot shift going?? Looks like you’re giving it all you’ve got. Too bad you’re not getting anywhere. All you maniacal Obots manage to do is reinforce the fact that Barack Hussein is a radical, megalomaniac nutcase who’s running a cult under the guise of a political campaign.

  • WildChild

The right fringe gloated when Bush won. The left fringe will Gloat should BOBO win. Gloating is definitely a fringe thing.

  • KathyNeocon

matchles–Isee your back from your potty break. Bless your heart.

  • AnninCA

Well, I insist that gloating is irrelevant.

The left-wing of the Democratic party are about, apparently, to win nothing.

There is nothing left to win

    That’s the reality. It’s a cold comfort.

  • KathyNeocon

matchles is on a potty break.

  • KathyNeocon

The polls are rigged by the MSM just like Obamanation is working on rigging the voter registry.

On election day there will be a groundswell of conservative voters going to the polls to put O-Headcase Hussein out of our misery.

  • AnninCA

    Who?

You have no credibility if you post in such unspecific terms.

  • AnninCA

I love a great stock market environment.

    but that was inflated.

    Just like real estate values.

Buckle up, we’ll eventually end up “real.”

  • KathyNeocon

Bless your heart Justin. Let’s see what happens on Election Day. Shades of 2004 perhaps??

  • KathyNeocon

Same here. I listen to Rush and Roger Hedgecock daily. I’ve completely crossed over and I love it. I see how clueless, ignorant and lost as I was as a liberal.

  • AnninCA

    I don’t know that you’re right.

The respectable polls are showing a real surge for Obama.

    I “think” I know this.

Folks, it is so far beyond politics that it’s not relevant who the president is.

Democracy itself is hitting the wall.

I think that could be OK. Really. We’ve faced other significant times in history with Democracy.

The civil war comes to mind.

Obviously, that was a period where democracy sure did’t automatically lead to a solution.

    This one may not either.

    But….

I still personally feel committed to the process.

Win or lose. Right or wrong.

This is a very terrific country, and I enjoy the fruits.

We can debate. Fight it out. Be wrong. Even trash our economic situation.

    But WE are doing it.

    “They” aren’t doing it.

    If “we” lose. OK.

    I lost to Bush, too.

I disagreed strongly with his election.

I disagree strongly with this one.

And I’m clear that I’m no going to be “better off,” regardless of who wins.

That’s over. That was as much of a fantasy as those corporate reports to stockholders.

    Fiction.

    But……it’s getting down to basics.

Care to vote or be shot down for voting.

  • WildChild

It’s government of the people until it isn’t. And until it isn’t, it still is. That’s the only certainty I have left to hold onto.

I will fight harder for that certainty than for anything else.

  • WildChild

I see you forgot the lessons of the first Wow

  • AnninCA

yup…..but it’s not about “FEELING” better.

That argument is dead in the water, for both candidates.

  • WildChild

I shut my feelings off months ago with this race. It’s made is much easier to think

  • matchles

Well it was baffling. Please, please, say this was just a snide remark Wild and not approbation for those comments.

  • WildChild

and risk repeating one of the lessons of your latest post? LMAO

  • Ani

I beg to differ with you. The Republican base adores Palin and I guarantee you, when faced with the choice between Obama and McCain — they will come out for McCain — especially to stop the crooked Obama from winning.

  • ritamary

Obama spiritual adviser Father Pfleger said exactly the same thing.

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of Planet Triskelion

We don’t need a tinfoil hat to know these nasty undemocratic trolls are trying to use the polls to suppress voter turnout which favors their candidate. Keep fighting for our Republic!

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of Planet Triskelion

We dismiss the strategy by trolls of using the polls to suppress voter turnout.
