How many times you eat during a normal … every day life?
are you the type of person who eats a bit and often?
or rarely and too much?

i usually have 3 and i’m the 2nd type of person (though it’s not that healthy)

8 am breakfast

3pm lunch

9pm a snack.

Recently one of my friends started an obsession with the actor Nicholas Cage (mostly because their names are both Nicholas – sounds strange but he is strange and that isn’t the point). After asking around the rest of my friends he seems to be a very controversial figure.
What does the forum think? do you love the all action superhero? Or do you hate the droning voice of the man who does nothing but action shooters?

Don’t forget how much many in the country loved the long gas lines and how much the military appreciated not being paid for two weeks because of a budget fight with Carter. That was fun!
Look Perry, it is way past bedtime for you children. Those of us who lived through the disaster that really was the Carter administration would prefer not to remember any of it after the walk he took until the day he left office. He was an abject failure as President.

From 1978 to 1982, the number of poor blacks rose by more than 2 million.

Reagan inherited 21% interest rates, 14% inflation, 12% unemployment and falling incomes.

Some facts about Reagan:

From 1980 to 1989, black household income increased 84%. The number of black owned businesses increased 38%. Receipts of black owned firms doubled. Black unemployment dropped 9%.

Taking money from the productive to give to the poor may “reduce the poverty rate” on a short term basis but it does not lead to the kind of economic growth that is needed to get out of a Depression.

Welfare has always and will always be about paying the poor to stay poor – and taking money from the productive to do so.

It’s a little like taking corn seed from the farmer to feed to the poor. It’s not going to do much for the long term nutritional prospects of the village now, is it?

I don’t care what “the rest of the world” thinks. There are a lot of economists now who recognize the folly of the New Deal, and the reasoning behind it is sound. The Depression lasted far longer than it should have, because FDR stifled the kind of production and economic growth which was needed to end it. You can whine in defense of your hero all you like – he’s no hero to me.
