The probe into fraudulent voter registrations in Allegheny County may soon produce criminal charges, according to the DA. The charges may not be limited to the misdemeanor of registration fraud, either, but potentially forgery — a felony that carries a stiff sentence:

The Allegheny County district attorney said Thursday that criminal charges could result from nearly 100 fraudulent voter registrations submitted in the Pittsburgh area, some of which came from a group accused of flooding elections offices around the country with bogus applications. …

      I talked to her about ACORN. She said that she did not know about ACORN.

      I talked about voting fraud, she said that she heard a little bit but does not know the deails.

      I talked to her about Berg’s law suit. She said that she had NEVER heard ANYTHING about this and was SHOCKED that Obama may not be a natural born citizen.

      I talked to her about Obama’s connections with ACORN, sub-prime loans, voting fraud, Lehman Brothers, Fennie and Freddy, Kenya’s politics, and Bill Ayers. She became SPEECHLESS.

      I ask her where she gets news. No surprise to me: ABC, NBC, CNN.

      I told her that I did make up things. I gave her some sites and ask her to check out.

      To save our democrasy, to save our country, we MUST spread the information to the voters, whose eyes and ears are covered by MSM.

        The movie was about a fifth-grader’s idea on how to change the world for good.

    This won’t stick to Obama though. This is the least plausible of the issues surrounding Obama, that will affect his Presidential bid.

    Here are the ones that could blow his candidacy out of the water:
    1. The Berg lawsuit challenging his citizenship
    2. The “Whitey” tape
    3. Larry Sinclair story about sex/drugs
    4. Depending on what Corsi, the author has, coming
    back from Kenya.

    All the other things he will simply say “were a long time ago” or somehow explain it away. These three will be tougher to do that.

    Let’s pray these come out asap.

        Corsi’s got nothing. Everyone says this to build up anticipation and then nothing. It’s very disconcerting to keep hoping Obama’s garbage comes to light but it just doesn’t. Look at Hillary continuing to campaign for him and McCain basically campaigning for him at his own event (as said by some posters on hillaryis44.) It’s beyond ridiculous what this guy gets away with. Totally un-American IMO.

            Dig one layer deeper about the $800,000 and you’ll find it was for ‘Sound and Lighting.” Someone called them later to verify and asked if they could rent some sound and lighting gear for a rally and the ACORN guy said, “we’re a grass roots get out the vote business. We don’t do lighting.” Barry should get his money back!

        Exactly. ACORN will bring down Obama if played right. It hits at our fundemental right of decency and fair elections. People do not like having their vote screwed with. Election 2000 anyone? How about Obama/DNC election shenanigans in FL and in the caucus states? That will reignite the frustration of the primary.

        McCain needs to tie the activies of organizations like ACORN and their relationship to the sub prime/Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/mortgage meltdown crisis.

      Yes, but voter fraud can steal the election and will if we let it. Voters need to be aware and guard against fraud.

      ACORN and Obamas the DNC and Dodd’s ties to it and Fannie Mae are all at the heart of our economic crisis. In my mind there have been deliberate actions on the part of the players to destabilize our economy and drive lemming voters to Obama. Lemming being the operative word for people who don’t think for themselves and do not research. Jim Jones and current and past dictators had them same kind of followers. Some people have lived to regret their choice, some have died for it. Keep in mind the dictator won’t recall or ever know that you supported him/her you will get tossed on the dung heap once your usefulness is over.

      Any man who supports letting babies born alive (after partial birth abortion) be left to die in a closet, won’t next turn to eliminating the handicapped or the aged, is fooling themselves. Would it be the color of our skin next or perhaps that will come first?

    For decades, throughout his educational and political career, Obama has COLLABORATED with the radical and/or criminal fringe. It has nothing to do with his lack of judgement. It has everything to do with his underlying world view and philosophy. Do Americans want an Ayers -like character to head Education? How about Rezko or Davis for HUD secretary? ACORN overseeing Federal elections? Khalidi in the State Department? Treasury and SEC?- anyone of the billionaires who funnelled illegal campaign contributions to him. How about Dorhn in the Justice Department? We may not see these people’s names in a Obama administration, but we will see there fingerprints everywhere.

      I agree with Jay Cost on RCP entirely. The only thing that really can help McCain is some good news on the front page.

      7 straight days of wild market fluctuations has scared people to death. Republicans were “in charge.” They will vote them out if this continues to Nov. 4. And it may well continue.

      McCain has to keep getting as close as he can and stick, so if he does get a break, he can take advantage of it.

        In spite of what the MSM’s spinning, the economic crisis doesn’t help Obama. Ironically, the economy will cause Obama to lose the election.

        Most American voters aren’t that stupid. The Democratic party – under normal circumstances – is normally associated with a good economy. But the last good economy we’ve had happened under the Clinton administration. Bill Clinton, as a successful Arkansas governor, entered the White House in 1993 with FAR more political experience than Obama. And one thing is clear in the minds of most voters right now:

        Obama is NO Clinton.

        Barack Obama’s lack of experience will cause him to lose the White House.

        Obama has never run a government – of any size. (Which gives Sarah Palin a significant edge over Obama – and she’s only running for Vice-President!) He’s only served two years as a U.S. Senator. In that time, he has never drafted any significant bills. Even his experience as an Illinois state senator is limited – as he voted on very little legislation during his terms.

        The Obamacrats hate the Clintons. Yet they’re riding on the coattails of the Clinton economic legacy – without actually including the Clintons themselves (ie: the snubbing of Hillary Clinton as VP).

        The Obamacrats are attempting a classic “bait-and-switch” tactic. That is, playing up the economic crisis while quietly trying to attach Obama to the good economy that Bill Clinton helped to produce during his Presidency. So that voters can be tricked into thinking they’re voting for another “Clinton” on November 4th – when in reality they’ll just be stuck with Barack Obama.

        John McCain adopting Hillary Clinton’s housing plan – and giving her full credit for it – was a brillant idea. Most Americans are now terrified about losing their homes and are VERY happy about McCain being willing to keep middle class & poor families from becoming homeless. By doing so, McCain is demonstrating his willingness to work across party lines. This move also cements McCain’s proven political record as a “Maverick” – a Republican who is willing to go against his most hardcore party members for the good of the country.

        In short, John McCain’s superior political experience & proven bipartisan Senate record will bring him the White House on Election Day.

      This is nothing more then to give people a pause about who Obama really is. People will not vote for a guy if they don’t trust him no matter who is in power. So the line of attack that McCain is using is actually very important. The MSM will not do it so he has to.

      As far as the economy. I hear more and more investment houses saying that they are buying stocks. There will be Trillions flowing into the market over the next few weeks. So don’t worry about the economy when gas prices start moving below $3 people will not feel so bad about the economy.

          The key is that MOST Americans will not vote for Obama. And that is all that matters.

          The diehard Kool-Aid drinkers are sold on Obama. Period. They will not change. But the Kool-Aid drinkers are not the majority of most American voters.

          The focus is on educating the voting majority – the moderates and Independents – about the true Obama while explaining McCains plans for the country. And leave the Kool-Aid kids alone.

    Lou Dobbs did a great piece on ACORN as shown in the video with this post. He always does good work. I think the message is starting to get out there based on some videos of McCain campaining in WI. Folks were asking questions and wildly applauding whenever the audience or McCain said ACORN voter fraud had to be stopped.

    How things play out from here will be a reflection on how each side views the electorate and how voters think.

    The Obama Camp believes Bush/Iraq and now economic news will be enough to push people herd-like toward the messiah of hope and change.

    The McCain camp believes voters will poll early based on how they are feeling but vote on Nov 4 based on what they are thinking. And they won’t be ready to stop feeling and start thinking till the final weeks. At that point trust and character will trump irrational fears and irrational hopes.

    Hence we truly do get the government we deserve.

    Paul Krugman talks about the “insane rage” of McCain supporters. Isn’t Obama and the media doing the same thing to McCain that they did to Clinton? That is, projecting all the negativity to the opposite side and making McCain the “guilty party” and portraying McCain and his supporters as being totally irresponsible and portraying Obama as being the noble and innocent victim? Maybe people are actually frightened by the thought of an Obama presidency, where a man with extremely little experience will have absolute power and complete control of Congress. How could Krugman say this? :

    “What happens when Obama is elected? It will be even worse than it was in the Clinton years. For sure there will be crazy accusations, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some violence.”

    Obama’s “Community Organizer” Experience In Perspective

    A notion frequently advanced by conservatives during this year’s presidential race is that if elected, Barack Obama would not bring any useful experience to the White House as a result of his sparse political background, including among other dubious roles, that of being a “community organizer.” This idea is wrong in the extreme. As a direct result of his “community organizing” work, Obama garnered a huge store of expertise that promises to be extremely useful in implementing his agenda should he become president. But it is the nature of that agenda, and the means by which he intends to implement it, that should have Americans gravely concerned.

    First however, the actualities of “community organizers” need to be understood. Certainly, a few such individuals are sincere and honorable in their efforts to improve their surroundings. Yet the majority of those who have participated in “community organizing” have, over time, proven themselves to be wholly self serving, and ultimately indifferent to the needs of their fellow citizens. In the minds of such people, the common folk are not the real concern, but merely a “resource” to be summoned and discarded at the pleasure of those leading the particular movement.

    If such an assessment sounds overly harsh, consider the organization “ACORN” (the “Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now”) and Obama’s relationship with it. ACORN claims to fight for the improvement of societal conditions for low and moderate income families. Yet it regularly engages in massive efforts at voter fraud. Such action, reveals a total indifference towards those it claims to represent. Just how much care for the concerns of real people could it possibly have, considering that ACORN often promotes its goals through the registration of “voters” who are either nonexistent or dead?

    Obama’s entire political career, both before and after being elected to the United States Senate, is an unaltered pattern of operating within such realms. And with each passing day, it becomes more evident that this action was undertaken for the sole purpose of advancing the career of Barack Obama.

    Thus can his nonexistent record of achievements be explained. Each community situation in which he found himself served as an opportunity to wax eloquent in front of the microphones. Yet after all of the fanfare subsided, nothing had changed. Nothing was intended to change. And while talk of “change” served to stoke the emotions of the crowds, real change would have eliminated any reason for those crowds to continually flock to him and empower him to take on his seemingly worthy cause.

    In like manner, the churches of the Reverend Wrights continue to grow and enrich themselves and the careers of Obama and his kind are advanced on the backs of the masses from the urban neighborhoods. Demands for “justice and opportunity” draw public funds into the communities. But their streets continue to be ravaged by crime, the graduation and literacy rates of their public schools remain a total disgrace, and the vaunted “change” promised to them remains thoroughly elusive.

    Upon even a cursory examination of how modern Washington works, and especially considering the rampant nature of present day chaos and corruption that permeates the D.C. establishment, it should quickly become obvious that Obama’s background indeed represents the perfect “resume” for an aspiring leader in such an environment.

    Admittedly, from a historical standpoint, Obama is wholly unqualified to preside over the apparatus of this nation’s government. Nor does he display any grasp of the American economic engine. Furthermore, he has demonstrated no ability to comprehend the ebb and flow of relationships with foreign governments. And his understanding of, or appreciation for the Constitution as the rightful framework for the American system is either woefully lacking or merely an annoyance that he long ago chose to discard. But such considerations are the realm of traditional America, so Obama has no interest in them. He has no intention of remaining within such tiresome limitations.

    If his campaign tactics are any indication, the Illinois Senator sees the likelihood of accomplishing much more according to his “community organizer” background than through the insipid and limited methods of conventional governing. Rather, he is far more comfortable carrying the torch of leftist social transformation. While most of America seems oblivious to the connection, between his current ideology and past actions, Obama’s standard mode of operation has been on display for any who are willing to examine his governing patterns critically and objectively. A few noteworthy examples make this case.

    After Hillary Clinton withdrew from a speaking engagement at an anti-Iran event being held by the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations last week, the Obama campaign launched an intimidation crusade against the gathering, threatening it with a possible lawsuit if it allowed Sarah Palin to speak there. Apparently, alerting the American public, and in particular its Jewish contingent, to the dangers posed by Iran is no more significant or worthwhile to Obama and his minions than the preservation of First Amendment right to free speech.

    On another front, the Obama campaign promoted an incredible compilation of lies that were incorporated into a series of ads, produced only in Spanish, and aired only on Spanish speaking stations, which fraudulently portray McCain as hostile to Hispanics. This despicable incident displayed once again how political operatives of Obama’s genre are perfectly willing to exploit and inflame ethnic divisions that exist in our country in order to gain the political upper hand. As a side note, it also serves as a reminder of why America’s leftists are such strident advocates of bilingual education.

    Finally, it is necessary to examine the revolving doors linking America’s failing giant financial institutions to the Democrat cabal in the Congress. It is here that enormous quantities of taxpayer dollars are being siphoned and recirculated between crooked financiers and collaborating politicians. As a means of accessing a seemingly endless supply of cash for those on the inside, this scandalous state of affairs represents the zenith of “community organizer” aspirations. And it is no surprise that Obama is among the chief recipients of “donations” from such enterprises.

    In both cases, while the common people remain at their predetermined rung on the lowest end of the economic ladder, the “community organizers” and politicians become wealthy beyond belief or understanding. And if the whole charade eventually collapses under its own disproportionate weight, it is those “little people” at the bottom who will foot the bill.

    Certainly, with each successive revelation of the financial corruption and cronyism that has nearly destroyed America’s banking system, the commonality between the workings of the demagogues in the nation’s urban neighborhoods and the murkiest aspects of the status-quo in Washington become more evident. And no one has done a more thorough job of transitioning from the former to the latter than Barack Obama.

      I think that in a large sense, this is the most important idea:

      Thus can his nonexistent record of achievements be explained. Each community situation in which he found himself served as an opportunity to wax eloquent in front of the microphones. Yet after all of the fanfare subsided, nothing had changed. Nothing was intended to change. And while talk of “change” served to stoke the emotions of the crowds, real change would have eliminated any reason for those crowds to continually flock to him and empower him to take on his seemingly worthy cause.

      And it isn’t only Obama, he is just the ultimate flower of the victimhood tree. Which is spreading its nasty little acorns around. If there are social needs, perpetuating them for power grabbers is the wrong way to go.

      The criticisms of Obama’s connections to Ayers, Acorn, etc. are thought by many in the media and on the left to be fueled by “racist extremists” and “fascists” that “advocate violence.” Blogs on the left all talk of how “noble” Obama is, how he always “speaks the truth” and how he always “does the right thing”. I think that many people actually do seem to believe that he is the Messiah. I don’t understand it … I think that Obama is an absolute master of psychological/intellectual manipulation.

    One thing I’m confused about: if people register repeatedly as the young woman in the first video said, how does that end up being multiple votes? Don’t they have to show up in their district, show some form of i.d. (or phone bill etc.), and then they get crossed off as having voted. That’s the way it works in my district. So, how can they vote more than once? I don’t understand how multiple registrations translates into more votes, or is the objective just to overwhelm the voting process?

    Another example: those Dallas Cowboy registrations in Nevada–obviously, those guys aren’t showing up in NV, and someone else can’t use their names unless they have bogus id. Can anyone explain this to me?

      First of all they don’t need id everywhere, and many places they accept something easy to forge. In past elections there have been reports of paid voters picking up their names and id packages at the union hall or wherever, going out and voting and then coming back for another packet. The same person voting twice is not the goal.

      But I agree it won’t work enough to have a big impact unless in a very close state like FL which could happen. On the other hand it has been working for decades in Chicago which is where these people learned it.

      The swing voters have not made up their minds. In fact I have heard that the McCain camp believes the election will be nailed down in the last 72 hours. Obama may actually be too early with that. Plus I don’t know any swing voters that will watch a half hour political ad. What will be interesting is to see how much coverage the msm gives it later. An ad isn’t news but they may cover it like it is giving it wider exposure. McCain should probably do one too. The night before the election.

    If McCain-Palin would listen to those of us out here, this is what I would do. He is assuming that most know about why he should not be President but most do not, just us who are aware of the reasons. He needs to speak in short sentences, and ask; why Obama is fighting in court not to show his “vaulted birth certificate” and are you a citizen qualified to run? Does American have the time after the election to have his qualifications challenged after the election? Do we want challenges with voter fraud and his doubts of his citizenship to put this country at a stand still or do we want to elect someone who can put this country back on track that we know is a citizen is not connected to voter fraud?

    Volunteer at a McCain office. Distribute Flyers. Convince people who are on the edge between McCain and Obama to vote for McCain — in the past week, I’ve convinced 2 people to support McCain, and my husband has convinced one person (the magnitude may be small, but every vote counts). Phone bank (a good site for phone banking is Citizens for McCain, which allows Democrats supporting McCain to reach out to other Democrats and Independents).

    CINCINNATI – A federal appeals court sided with Ohio’s top elections official Friday in her running battle with Republicans over how to verify the eligibility of newly registered voters.

    The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals set aside a federal judge’s order a day earlier that Democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner institute the means to verify voter registration information and make it available to Ohio’s 88 county election boards.

    Brunner argued that it would take two to three days to create the necessary computer programs, and that nothing in the Help America Vote Act required her to do what the lower court ordered. A three-judge panel of the appeals court agreed in a split decision.

    “With less than a month until the election, and less than two weeks until the beginning of counting absentee ballots, the secretary cannot be required to undertake the extensive reprogramming and other changes to the election mechanics without complete disruption of the electoral process in Ohio,” the majority said in its opinion. “The irreparable harm to the voting public caused by the district court’s order is equally clear.”

    On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge George C. Smith in Columbus ordered Brunner to verify new registrations by matching information on them against a database maintained by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles or the Social Security Administration. He also ordered her to establish a process by which the county boards can access the information generated by the checks.

    Brunner praised Friday’s decision, saying there are sufficient systems in place to verify new-voter registration.

    “The … Court of Appeals has halted another partisan lawsuit in Ohio,” she said. “Under the Help America Vote Act, this verification process is not and has not been permitted to be used to determine a voter’s eligibility.”

    The orders stemmed from a lawsuit the Ohio Republican Party filed against Brunner, whom Chairman Bob Bennett called “the most partisan secretary of state in Ohio history.”

    “It’s a shame we don’t have transparency in this election. She has done everything she can to help her candidate,” Bennett said. “To not even check the registrations is a travesty of the first class.”

    Bennett said the party’s lawyers would determine its next step, including whether to appeal. A message seeking comment was left late Friday at the office of Bill Todd, a lawyer for the party.

      It appears to me that McCain has found an open door about these lies and subsequent phony explanations.

      He’s repeating the same pattern with Acorn now, disavowing all connections. We know, again, that he’s lying.

    fox has an article stating that the RNC and MCcain are going to spend 160 million dollars in the final 2 weeks.

    keep in mind, on top of the 160 million dollars the RNC and McCain will spend in the final 2 weeks, the NRA has pledged to spend 40 million.

    They have only spent about 5million so far. All mccain has to do to win is hold 85% of his GOP base and bring in 20% or more of DEMS and split independants.

    The final 2 weeks will be an onslaught that Obama will not be able to defend.

    Between the RNC,McCain,NRA, and 527 groups like AIP and Right Change they will spend over 200 million in the final 2 weeks.

    I know conservatives are frustrated but stick this out. There is a master plan. There is also a reason for web ads, they are saving their money for the onslaught.

    I will call it the OOO. Onslaught of Obama. This is in no way over. Think Dewey defeats truman. Or even Kerry defeats bush, which is what exit polls said.

    with ACORN being investigated all over, they are not going to be able to commit voter fraud for obama. Also, do you think if obama had this wrapped up he would have ACORN trying to steal the election?

    Keep in mind as well, all of the fraudulent registrants they have turned in, the ones that do not get caught go towards party ID. THey are over estimating Obama’s support, against Hillary in the primary’s it is a proven fact that obama underperformed his poll numbers in almost every state. There are also very important ballot initiatives in states that should bring conservatives out in droves.

          Good point. And, isn’t this oversampling up from some days ago? Seems like it was about 24%+ over for Dems and he was leading by 9 points. So, crank up the oversample by approx. 1/3, then get up by less than 1/4, hmm, I think the effective return is going down.

    I was over at Hillaryclintonforum.net, and they have the latest on the voter fraud in PA. According to the articles, over 1/4 of the new voter registrations are fraudulent.     I find the polls very encouraging for John McCain on two fronts. First, the polls are weighted to show an Obama advantage. Second, this advantage works to McCain’s favor because Obama supporters will feel he is safe and not vote while McCain supporters will be out in full force.

    If Obama is buying 30-minute informercials his internals are not showing the same numbers as the polls. If McCain is biding his time he knows that right now he is in the lead.

    I wouldn’t. I think there’s potential for voter fraud, however, and that’s obvious. We have election laws that are being violated now. It’s not a situation that should be ignored.

    Activism is fine, provided it’s lawful.

    If Obama wins, it’s obvious it will be strictly due to the financial crisis and the tendency of people to vote against the party in power.

    It’s tough to get people to recognize that the Democrats are as much, if not more, responsible for this mess.

    Number 1- I am not a Republican. I am a registered Democrat voting for McCain/Palin. Get over it.

    Number 2-If a landslide is coming, why does Barky Oblahblah need 30 minutes of primetime a week before the election to do damage control? Why is he preparing and investing so much into damage control? What does he know is coming that you don’t?

    I’m with you, Tuppence – A registered Democrat (though my change of registration to “unaffiliated” is ready to be mailed on Nov. 5). If all the information about Obama was out there in the media for all to see and the American People still decided to support him, I would have been dissappointed but would have gone along with the program – this is after all what democracy is about. But the information is NOT out there. Things we’ve known about for months are only now starting to slowly trickle down to the main stream media – information that should have been generated by them, had they’ve done their job properly. If Obama wins, it’s going to be due to uninformed electorate, and that’s to cause for the rage we’ve been seeing in the past few days.
