The MSM vs. McCalin/Palin

There is constant chatter across the MSM spectrum about vicious, racist attacks on Obama at McCain/Palin rallies. The incidents are now reported as “fact.” Thing is, the entire brouhaha about conduct at McCain/Palin events — that even merited a stern NYTimes editorial — began with one Dana Milbank, whose reputation for “truthiness” is, well, less than stellar, writes Bob Somersby for The Daily Howler:

The Times refers to this “sketch” by Dana Milbank, a highly unreliable chronicler. But in fact, Milbank only described one person at Palin’s rally shouting one epithet at that TV crew member. (“One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man.”) … Read more.

In “The Power of One” at City Journal, John Leo reports a very similar story of how the MSM has, overall, blown the TRUE story out of all proportion:

Dana Milbank of the Washington Post often writes with a good deal of attitude, and his Tuesday column was no exception. In his report on Sarah Palin’s campaign speech in Clearwater, Florida, laced with mocking Palinisms (“darn right,” “betcha”), he wrote that “the self-identified pit bull has been unleashed, if not unhinged.” The “unhinging,” in Milbank’s assessment, came when Palin charged that Obama still has some explaining to do about his relationship with 1960s Weatherman bomber William Ayers.

Milbank also wrote that Palin blamed Katie Couric for her “less-than-successful” CBS interview. Other newspapers reported a more light-hearted Palin response to the dismal interview. …

[...]

Milbank’s report triggered Democratic rage across the Internet with his charge that “Palin’s routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness.” Some in the Clearwater crowd, he wrote, shouted abuse at reporters. Someone yelled “Kill him,” apparently a reference to Ayers; and one person shouted an epithet at a network sound man (apparently the N-word, though Milbank didn’t say) and told him, “Sit down, boy.”

Two shouting extremists in a crowd of 4,500 are two too many, of course. The question is whether these outliers offer sufficient evidence for a clearly hostile reporter to demonstrate that Palin’s rallies have gotten ugly. Florida reporters did not see the event that way. The St. Petersburg Times ran a benign story on the Palin speech. William March of the Tampa Tribune told me, “They booed Obama and the press, but that just makes it a normal Republican rally.” March admitted that he was standing further from the speaker’s stand than national press reporters, and therefore heard less, but he maintains that the rally was no hate-fest.

An early web version of Milbank’s column was headlined, “In Fla., Palin Goes for the Rough Stuff as Audience Boos Obama.” Rough stuff? There’s no evidence that Palin did anything more than challenge Obama on Ayers. …

Read all of John Leo’s commentary.

So, we have two sophisticated observers of the event at odds with the blogosphere’s and mainstream media’s hysterical reactions to this isolated occurrence.

It comes as no surprise to any of you readers that the MSM and liberal bloggers have blown this way out of all proportion.

We who supported Hillary Clinton know especially well how she and Bill Clinton had to walk on eggshells to avoid raising any ire amongst the MSM and bloggers all aimed at getting her out of the primary races.

What is MOST disturbing to me, personally, is that the media have failed to do their job when it counts, and when lives are at stake.

The media served a cheerleaders for Bush and Cheney’s unwarranted war in Iraq, only to turn on him after several years.

Writers like Bob Woodward wrote pro-Bush books as long as that was a profitable venture, and then he turned and wrote anti-Bush books when that put more money in his fat bank accounts.

And now the media are swooning all over Barack Obama while glossing over his extremely thin resume and poo-pooing any references to his dubious choices in friends, mentors, political benefactors, and employers.

Yes. None of us is surprised that one or two hecklers at one event become THE story about the McCain/Palin ticket (that is, when there’s not some new tidbit to blow up over “Troopergate.”)

So it goes. If Obama wins, I feel safe in predicting that the MSM will report that his every statement and move will be considered brilliant. And that it will take a small minority of reporters to tell us the real story of what will transpire. And it will be awful, just as we found out about George Bush, far too late.

Susan, thanks for this piece. The MSM is going berserk on Palin because she is so popular.

I do not want to go on a tangent here, but I just came across this information and it MUST be shared immediately.

The Obama campaign/its volunteers have gone to a whole new level with their attempts at intimidation. This time, the Secret Service is doing their dirty work. Read this entire post:

    http://www.ywc.blogtownhall.com/2008/10/03/secret_service_intimidates_private_citizen_for_obama.thtml

    .

‘Thursday, October 2, I answered the front door to find the Secret Service. Immediately I thought of the call and was furious that apparently you are not allowed to call Obama a Socialist without the Secret Service coming to investigate. Instead, they asked me about the following comment, relayed by the Obama Volunteer of Texarkana who called me, unsolicited on my cell phone:

‘I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor.’

My husband laughed and told them ‘No, she called him a socialist but she never said a word about him dying.” I gave them my actual quote. The woman asked insolently “Oh? Well why would she make that up?’

I replied that I supposed she wasn’t happy about what I said about her candidate and the Agent said ‘That’s right, you were rude!’ The last time I checked being rude wasn’t a crime in America.’

    .

Please, someone here at NQ, make a post/thread about this. This is madness, and we must stop this abuse of people’s rights BEFORE Obama is elected, or else I’m afraid there could be little difference between an Obama administration and Red Russia.

We have to fight back RIGHT NOW, or else it will be too late.

And it will be awful, just as we found out about George Bush, far too late.

I think the comparison with Bush is correct. The media loved and protected him, the NYT sold his war, and now they’re doing the same thing for Obama. What kind of democracy is this?

first, would posters stop mentioning that pbs has a poll asking is palin qualified. this poll has been on pbs for weeks and is simply there to imply she’s not qualified. they should have taken the poll down weeks ago as per their usual practise.

also, it is time for Fox at least to expose the polls for what they are – skewed towards BO. no matter how corrupt the polls are, whenever they show BO up, the corpmedia worldwide runs with them immediately, giving the impression mcpalin can’t catch up at this stage. if the polls show a close race, the corpmedia worldwide simply ignores them.

    Thanks Susan,
The MSM was in the tank for Bush (until Katrina),and hated Gore and Kerry
The MSM was in the tank for GHW Bush and hated Clinton.
The MSM had a love affair with Reagan and destroyed Dukakis and Mondale.
Now the MSM is in the tank for Obama.
I have to ask why they changed parties. Bush offered the corporate media some deregulation through FCC. What is the coprporate MSM expecting from Obama?

If this is true concerning the secret service…Fox should have this information. I think the woman who wrote this piece- should be shipped immediately to Fox network and show the people that EVEN the secret service is bought by Obama. What a sad day in America. When the primary campaign began, Senator Clinton was the choice of African-Americans by a margin of 52% – 28% over Senator Obama. By the time BHO, his paranoia-fueled backers and the MSM were finished with Hillary and Bill, each of whom had a lifelong history of working for minority causes (Bill Clinton’s office is in Harlem, by the way, not on Wall Street), they were both avowed racists and the flock had come home.

Are we surprised that these folks are at it again?

On another message board I frequent, and which was full of nice people until most of them became Obama supporters, someone posted a Youtube of a long line of McCain/Palin supporters filing into a rally at Lehigh University. There were thousands of people in line and it was orderly and well-behaved. But, there were also Obama supporters heckling and harrassing them from across a road and a person with a video camera asking taunting questions to make the video.

This has made all these Obama supporters almost hysterical. The remarks by the McCain/Palin supporters in response to all the taunting are “ugly” and “ignorant”. Certainly, some of them are, but who is at fault here? The taunters or the people being taunted who fall into the trap of saying things they probably don’t mean?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itEucdhf4Us

They want McCain supporters to tell their candidate “they do not condone this new level of rage and ugliness”.

It seems to me that we have seen the ugliest campaigns ever this cycle, and the (lowest) common denominator is Obama. Wherever he campaigns, it is ugly. Didn’t he tell his supporters to “get in their faces”? Well, I suppose this is one result of that.

  • Hmmmmmmm

It was a Obama plant stirring up hatred at McCain rallies. SOme of them even wear t shirts with vile statements on it.

Ever since Obama told hsi supporters to get in the face of republicans and independents, this outrage has started. A lot of his protestors ar pretendign to be mcCain supporters and they are causing all this trouble.

Exactly- Double Standard!!!!!! The stuff thrown at Palin is repulsive and the mass media could care less. And they overreact with a couple of ticked off Americans at a rally. Ridiculous.

the secret CIRCUS as i call them will come anytime there is a threat on a president, never heard them coming for a candidate, but i suppose they would.

we did a TV show a few years ago and we were doing a comedy routine and i had a plastic gun and said “off with his head,” like the lady in the alice in wonderland. it was an ad lib joke and we got a call from the secret service and they came down and interviewed us – all the way from washington dc.

but never before have i heard something as outlandish for a presidential candidate during a telemarketing call.

    never.

    PRESS RELEASE!

HAS ANYBODY TAKEN THE TIME TO NOTICE THAT THE STOCK MARKET HAS TAKEN A DIVE EVERY SINCE OBAMA’S POLL NUMBERS WENT UP?

REMEMBER AT THE ONSET OF THE FINANCIAL CRISIS, MCCAIN’S POLL NUMBERS WERE GOING UP, BUT AS SOON AS OBAMA’S POLL NUMBERS STARED GOING UP – THE STOCK MARKET STARTED SOARING DOWNWARDS.

THINK ABOUT IT: STOCKS GOING DOWN AS OBAMA GOES UP.

I heard an interview with Kelsey Grammer (Fraiser) and he said people with money are not wanting to invest if Obama gets in.

    STOCKS DOWN = OBAMA UP

OBAMA POLLS UP – STOCKS PLUNGE DOWNWARD

and no it is not a coincidence, it’s a direct correlation. people with money do NOT want obama in because they know they will lose money (or have to give it away to the people who won’t work) and THAT is why they are not spending right now.

PLEASE SOMEONE GET THIS WORD OUT.

I just cannot believe no one has notice the correlation yet.

News flash: at a rally in Minnesota, when questioned by an attendee about Obama’s Supreme Court selections, McCain told the crowd not to be afraid of Barack Obama or his choices to the Supreme Court. The reporter, Carl Cameron(from Fox) said the crowd went totally silent at McCain’s response.

I am dumbfounded. What is McCain’s problem?

Please someone ‘splain this to me.

It’s definitely bad out there. I heard Ed Schultz on Air America calling Palin a “whore,” and I had to call in even though I think he’s a blowhard.

I got through, told him how I felt about his gutter politics, told him what I thought of him, told him Air America was quashing a discussion of Obama’s background, told him we want to know EVERYTHING about Obama and that BO had run an abusive campaign…. but when I finished with “and I’m a Democrat!” he went ballistic and said “you’re NOT a Democrat, you’re a right wing piece of garbage!” and hung up on me.

Made my day. Air America = Obama Central. Dissenting voices rarely allowed.

Obama is bad for the economy. McCain needs to talk baout TAXES. It’s not just the economy, it’s CAPITAL GAINS STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it laughable that Obama who spent over $100 million of a non profit organistaion givign money to his black liberation church, Bill Ayers wife project and other left wing minority charter schools, that he is the best person for the economy. Has Americans lost their mind? How in the world can Obama be better on the economy than John MCcain? Look at the way Obama spent the money when he was on the Board of the Annenberg Challenge and the WOODs Foundation.

I cannot believe the rise of the anti-American left has taken over the democratic party and is a heartbeat away from political power. At a time when America is hurting, the radical left is happy. OBama rise in this election has been funded by America hating foreigners and Anti American left wing liberals who want to see Obama win. Obama campaign has refused to release the names of his donors giving less than $500 to his campaign. WHen this election is over, it will be the largest case of election fraud in American history.

The American election system has been hijacked by foreigners and the Anti-American radical left who sees Obama as a pawn in their campaign to bring America to her knees. I hope patriotic Americans will wake up soon and take back their country. No foreigner should be allowed to influence your democracy as has been down in 2008. I fear for a world where AMerican dominance is replaced by an Eastern imperial power.

  • MaggiefromMichigan

When people are heckled by these rude Obama supporters, maybe they should respond by calming asking: Did you learn this in Obama camp?

Paul: I heard a woman call into Sean Hannity’s talk radio show yesterday afternoon and describe the story you’ve posted on the Secret Service visit. She was quite upset and said that she was told the charge would remain on her record. In the radio call she also said she thought about calling her local sheriff to have the visitors removed for trespassing. Where’s the ACLU to protect her civil rights?

  • Peggy Sue

The stuff thrown at Hillary Clinton was equally repulsive. The Dems remained silent [that's when I lost all respect for the party] and the MSM added their own sexist, disgusting spew.

I think we have to face the sad fact–there is no free, objective press in this country, period. They picked their candidate well in advance and they expect us to swallow the nonsense whole.

  • Mary Kay

Seriously, how do we know that the offenders at the rallies were not Obama campaign plants? Look at all loons Obama attracts. Neither party has a lock on the rightous.

  • Ferd McBerfle

Ed Schultz is an insufferable windbag who resembles a grounded dirigible.

  • Mary Kay

I heard her call. She said the SS flashed the badge rather quickly. Makes me even wonder if it was the SS or if it was Obama campaign people trying to intimidate her.

  • McKatmoon

For those who support O, it isn’t a surprise there is a blind eye being turned to the out and out filth they have initiated; they have to be blind, as otherwise they would have to exhibit having a conscience.
Little realizing no matter who wins the election, we have to all live in this country together. Threatening those who didn’t support him, calling all of us racists, abusing every opportunity to be honest, will not be the magic formula to bring us all together.
But you know what, they don’t care about that, if you weren’t on the bandwagon, they will not have a problem, leaving you out, save the obligated harassment; there will not be an ounce of tolerance for anyone no swooning over and supporting the precious.

for GOD’S SAKE…doesn’t the fucking secret service have anything else to do besides harass people over their disapproval of a Presidential candidate? Perhaps the Secret Service can round up all of the Obot’s for their rudeness, they’ll be plenty busy.

We no longer have a Fourth Estate – we have a propaganda arm. For this one instant to be so overblown is reprehensible. And its message is clear – if you don’t support Obama, you are a racist yahoo. But for MSM to participate in this charade is disturbing on so many levels. I thought it was bad with Bush…

Monique, there is a reason why McCain is preferred 4 -1 over Obama by Job Creators – and the market is a big piece of that. 95% or so of the African American (Black) community is supporting Obama bin Biden. Crying racism is the primary modus operandi of promoting their agenda or way, e.g., LA riots, OJ trial, blacklisting of this or that celebrity for off-color comment, etc.

The McCain/Palin campaign (like Hillary’s) has gone out of its way to avoid race, racism, and racialism. This has thrown Team Obama bin Biden off and they’ve decided that they have to prime the pump, as it were, or “play the race card” for them.

They think that this will work the way it has worked in so many other circumstances but they are wrong. At all other times the arbitrator in the matter has been a court, public officials, or entertainment executives. This time around it will be the American people who decide and I hope their decision is a cumulative NO, not this time!

Do they actually think that they can preemptively guilt people into supporting them based on this cry-baby behavior?

  • TMendez

All of the sexism against Palin should energize more women (and men) to stand up against it. Obama, for all his “hope and change” mantra, has done nothing more than encourage bad behavior against Palin (and of course Hillary before that).

Let’s not let this get us down. We should work harder to get McCain elected.

  • Ferd McBerfle

That is the scenario I fear, as well. We still don’t know a whole lot about Shrub except the detrimental effect he has had on our Republic. And Oblockhead, being a smarter and more arrogant miscreant, would make Dubya’s administration look great in comparison.

MUST READ!!! PRESS CONFERENCE REMARKS FROM MCCAIN CAMPAIGN MANAGER RICK DAVIS ON OBAMA AND LYING ABOUT ACORN!!!!!!!!

Rick Davis: “The point I really want to make in the course of this discussion is we’ve heard from the governor about the spotty history and horrible record that ACORN has in his state but also in a number of other states, both historically and currently. Obviously, some major investigations that are going on their way in places like Nevada highlighted this in the news media. But questions remain about what Barack Obama’s relationship is and has been with ACORN. One of the things that I think is important to note as the governor pointed out is that not only does Barack Obama have a current relationship with ACORN and their affiliates, but he has had a long history with them. And yet, when asked he has very inconsistent remarks about what his relationship is with this organization. That by the way is a pattern that we’ve seen emerge from the Obama campaign were they try to rewrite the history of Barack Obama and his activities in Chicago. And then try to portray them as something less than what they used to be. Obviously, the relationship goes back to really his very first days as a community organizer.

“On the description of what he has said in the past, he has said ‘I have been fighting alongside ACORN on issues that you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran a project vote, a voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it and we appreciate their work.’ This is a statement that Barack Obama had made. Yet, in statements released to the press and on their own website you find a completely different kind of approach that Barack Obama never organized with ACORN. Well he either did or he didn’t; all the evidentiary material indicates that he did. But now his current statements are that he didn’t. I think it’s a question that remains to be asked to Barack Obama directly. He hasn’t taken any of my calls lately so maybe some of you all could make them. What is the real story there? Why aren’t we being straight to the American people with the history you have with an organization that has a long and storied history of voter fraud.

“And I think that there’s another thing that sort of enriches that dialogue. If you didn’t have that much or never was an organizer with ACORN, then what do you call your relationship back in the early 90s where you actually participated in classes with ACORN and taught classes for ACORN. What were you teaching them? Did you teach them how to evade the law like they have done repeatedly over the two decades that have transpired? Did you teach them techniques on how to properly administer a voter registration program which are clearly incompetent or negligent or worse yet law breakers in doing so? I think that this is the kind of thing that we’ve seen a long history.

“It is interesting to, to track what Obama’s friends at ACORN have said about him. They describe it as sort of natural for many of the volunteers in his first state senate campaign to be involved with ACORN. So, we see a connection to him politically at an early stage of his career. And yet, when you go back to the Obama campaign, Barack was never an ACORN trainer, never worked for ACORN in any other capacity. That just betrays the facts.

“Why is it different that the Cleveland Leader and other organizations that reported at the time and since then on activities that Barack Obama had, now all of the sudden we’ve seen different stories being written by the Obama campaign. So, I think that is the second thing.

“How do you explain, if you had no relationship with ACORN, do you explain serving as their lawyer in a lawsuit in Illinois? Maybe he can describe that he didn’t participate somehow in the training. Maybe he can describe that weren’t involved in his early campaign. Maybe he can describe that he actually wasn’t out there beating the drum for ACORN and their supporters. But how do you describe that fact that you were actually their lawyer and that you had a intimate relationship with them in defending them against the State of Illinois and the Federal government? Obviously that is a direct relationship. Did you get paid by ACORN for your legal services? What exactly did you have as an ongoing relationship? When did it begin? When did it end? What did you do for them in the process? None of these questions have been answered on his internet website.

“It seems to me so clear about his relationship actually not having done anything for ACORN. Obviously too, that there is a question that remains about whether or not Barack Obama served on boards that distributed funds to ACORN. Some of these boards are getting a lot of attention these days because of some of the other board members and people who were involved in them. Let us talk about the substance of one of those. During the early days of his involvement with the Woods Fund and the Choice Foundation, these all had strong ties to the ACORN organization.

“While on the board, ACORN received thousands of dollars worth of grants. The Chicago ACORN Branch received $45,000 in 2000, $33,000 in 2001, $45,000 in 2001 and 2002 – $30,000. So it is a continuous funding program for ACORN and organizations that Barack Obama was involved in.

“And finally, to make it more current, during his primary bid for president, Barack Obama’s campaign paid an ACORN affiliate $832,000 for ‘get out the vote efforts.’ That would be fine if you want to pay people out of your primary campaign account to get out to vote, certainly appropriate. Except there was a effort to hide the fact that these monies went to this ACORN affiliate, the Citizens Services Inc. There was obviously from the press account, we can see that the initial FEC reports indicated that this money was used for event activity. Well maybe the events that they were talking about were get out the votes, and so when finally pushed by the FEC they disclosed that this money actually went to an organization that is not just related to but deeply ingrained in the ACORN organization. In fact, many people would refer to them as a front group for ACORN. I would think with the long history of Barack Obama and the ACORN organization, he and his al lies on his campaign would certainly understand what those relationships were before they wrote an $830,000 check to this organization.

“So, I think we clearly established that what Barack Obama says about his relationship with ACORN over 20 years of activity and even most recently during his presidential campaign is somehow different than what he’s trying to lead the public to believe right now. Given the relationship between Barack Obama and ACORN, it’s surprising that Obama has said he has fought all alongside ACORN his entire career — direct quote from Barack Obama. Now, I think that these are the things that are worth some questions to be answered maybe by Barack Obama himself.

“I think, one, Barack Obama ought to come clean with his relationship with ACORN. He’s clearly not telling us the truth about what’s going on in his relationship with ACORN. He’s not telling us the truth about the history of his activities with ACORN, and he’s certainly not telling us anything about what kind of current relationships he has with ACORN, nor do I have any confidence that he’ll come clean on that. Two, as Senator McCain said yesterday at his town hall, we want a complete investigation of ACORN. If I were the Barack Obama campaign, I’d call for the same thing. Obviously they have a need to clean up what their relationship is with this fraudulent and law-breaking organization and I would think he’d want to do the same thing. I doubt it. I doubt it because I doubt that he can actually explain what his actual relationship is with the ACORN organization, nor would he want them investigated for fear that that would actually come to light. Th ree, we think that we ought to have an immediate freeze on all taxpayers’ dollars that go to ACORN as an organization. They clearly have a long track record, of not only in all the organizations — in all the battleground states, that Governor Blunt had mentioned earlier, but in virtually every state, we can find there have been ACORN violations of the law. What we think they ought to do is the federal government ought to immediately freeze any taxpayer dollars that would be going to this organization, and launch their own investigation. It is incredible to note that in the middle of the greatest disaster in our financial system that we’ve had in our lifetime, that the Democrats in the United States Senate would actually link payments to ACORN in the bailout package that they promoted prior to Senator McCain coming to town and actually blowing that package up. So we can actually say, that in addition to helping taxpayers save millions of dollars, that we are very happy that no more taxpayers’ dollars were added to the pile of money going to ACORN, by the Democrats’ own admission, because John McCain came to town and blew that package up. Thank goodness.

“So outside of the fact that taxpayers’ dollars were being ripped off right now by an organization that clearly has a spotty track record with the law, I think that we should worry about what impact they’re going to have as an organization on this year’s election. The only reason you pack lists of voter registration is because you want to steal votes, because you want to cheat.

“And so I think that certainly from our campaign’s perspective, we’re going to do everything we can to keep an eye on this organization, their activities during the course of this election year, but we hope all the press uses their opportunities, too, to scrutinize this organization and where they are and what they are doing working, because we don’t feel that the election is something that should be stolen from the American electorate.”

    From WAPO off Drudge:

Anger Is Crowd’s Overarching Emotion at McCain Rally

There were shouts of “Nobama” and “Socialist” at the mention of the Democratic presidential nominee. There were boos, middle fingers turned up and thumbs turned down as a media caravan moved through the crowd Thursday for a midday town hall gathering featuring John McCain and Sarah Palin.

For crying out loud, we have been seeing FAR worse than this for over a year, from Obama and his thugs.

  • wodiej

What do you think would happen if the vile, vulgar shit said about Sarah Palin was said about Michelle Obama?? There would be fucking riots in the street and everyone’s head on a platter. McCain and Palin cannot control what everyone says at their rally’s. Obama supporters have mouths full of shit. As my parents used to say, if you can’t take it, don’t dish it out.

  • Leisa

This SS story is an other example of our tax dollars at work… for Obama…

    Acorn
    SS
    PBS

  • Newly Independent

They’ve been to this very board, using racially offensive language. I’ve had to report some of those Obama trolls.

So it wouldn’t shock me at all to know that Obama plants are being used in McCain/Palin rallies to cause racial discord.

  • trails

    amen!

  • Paul3triple

the anger at his rallies are fabricated to fit a narrative.
It is total BS. Obama’s poeple have said some of the filthiest shit i have ever heard.
No one cared when they said the foulest about Palin.
    I do not care.
If they are scared, Hit Them Harder.

  • bev

Great job with making that phone call. I am so sick of these people. The obarf camp is inciting racial tensions for the purpose of dividing people.

  • Sarracuda In So Cal

Yeah I saw the Minnesota Town Hall meeting today and I was surprised when he said that, look, I would never call Obama a terrorist in front of people, I may believe that but I would never mention it, but to bring up Obama’s associations and the fact that many of us are scared that he might put some of them in his cabinet is totally fair. He associates with Ayers, rezco, even Farrakhan lives on his street, imagine that street, all fool of crooks and extremists. I think McCain just said that he has been hearing how in the press, some are saying during his rallies that Obama is a terrorist and he doesn’t want the press to say that his supporters are whack jobs so he tells them not to be saying stuff like that, the problem with McCain is that he is TOO DAMN NICE sometimes, people have to beg with him, plead with him to take the gloves off, I don’t get this guy, does he want to win or does he want to lose. I see Sarah out there, speaking from her heart and she lets it all out, she even mentioned today about Obama and that article in the Washington Times about him committing Treason. She gets it, McCain I don’t know, he is a great guy, a true American hero, but he can be so soft sometimes, like he doesn’t know how to be forceful

  • oowawa

Just imagine if any totalitarian regime or secret service would have had the internet power of Google at its command: this is what truly scares me. Simple google searches of just No Quarter alone could net a whole seething boatload of anti-O “subversives.”

I may be an old paranoid, and I certainly do not want to seem unfriendly, but I really hope I never meet any of you personally at “The O-Compassion Facility” where “the subversives” are reprogrammed.

  • tzada

Funny remark from my 14 year old…..We were talking about the candidates and when I told her that John McCain was 72 she was shocked…
Really. Big smile from John if he saw this, big smile back from me. She thought he was about 45. :) Truly she was serious.

    Go Johnny Go!

I have a follow-up to this post, and it dovetails with the witch hunt the media is on for supposed extremist persons at McCain/Palin rallies.

Some people are beginning to think that the people making these foolish comments at the rallies are what are known as ‘dirty astroturfers’ deployed by the Obama campaign and its supporters. Read more here:

    http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/discussion/showthread.php?t=35227

I have a comment on that thread, the second one in, and it describes how I am very familiar with this ‘dirty astroturfer’ tactic on my videos. Because my YouTube channel has been fairly successful, I am often hit by Obama campaign/astroturfers seeking to hurt my reputation or the viewership of the videos I post.

These kinds of ‘sabotage’ tactics are right up the Alinskyites’ alley. We need to investigate this further, but I’m beginning to think that this is what is happening at these rallies. They can’t stop the popularity of Palin and McCain, and so they’re doing this infiltration tactic. It is something to be considered and explored, this theory.

  • Sarracuda In So Cal

The crap that Sarah has had to go through I have never seen in my entire lifetime. Let’s see, people wanting DNA evidence to prove that Trig is her son and not her daughter Bristol’s, 30 lawyers in Alaska trying to screw her over that Trooper Wooten who by the way is STILL an Alaskan state trooper and threatened to put a bullet in her father’s head, and tasered her 10 year old nephew and beat her sister, they mock her constantly on SNL, people call her stupid, Reuters taking a picture of only her legs(SEXIST) celebrities saying she will be gang raped if she shows up in Manhattan, I can’t believe half the crap that is being said about Sarah, it’s HORRENDOUS. I can’t imagine being Sarah, turning on the TV and hearing shit like that, but yeah, the media LOVES Michelle “The racist” Obama, they think she is so sweet(Yeah she sat in that church for 20 years too) you just look at her and see RACIST all over her face, what a damn phony. I hate that bitch, sorry for my rant but that’s how I feel. The media died in 2008, well, the media died a long time ago but yeah this year it really got bad. They don’t even care about the FACTS anymore. If Obama had been vetted the way he should have back in December he would NEVER have made it this far, he would be in jail where he BELONGS

  • trails

    You betcha!

  • Steve1

Hey “I told you so,” I been saying this since Day One, Mugabe, Zimbabwean/Kenyen tactics…I have told you that it is going to get worse! It will! Soetoro-Obama must be stopped on Nov. 4th, thru the vote.

  • Leisa

    Exactly, Sara,

Funny how the media failed to cover it when Obama and his supporters were acting with MOB mentality.

Remember the death treats against Travis Smiley and others?

Remember the treats of violence and riots?

Remember voter intimidation and threats at the caucuses?

The name calling and ugliness was and still is perpetuated by Obama supporters, and he egged them on. Here a a few examples:

99 problems… and his famous finger face scratching salute/shoulder wiping whine fest after Hillary cleaned his clock at their last debate.

  • Steve1

MSM pundits and broadcasters need to be brought to trial. The monopoly of the corporate controlled media has to be broken.

  • No way No Mccain

The same people at the rallies are the same ones on this website. I have read here Obama is Hitler, is a terrorist and should be jailed for treason. These same people at this rally are crying the same garbage you spout on this website.

If you want guilt by association, then McCain is out.Talk about a scumbag. I was not going to vote this year after Hillary was out but now I am voting for Obama all the way. You people want to incite a mob mentality. If someone gets hurt or worse, you will all be responsible for this debacle.

Ayers, Rezko and Acorn don’t matter to people who care about the issues. The issues have been raised again as you were all crying about. “The MSM not doing their job”. Now look at the outrage and a lot of it is coming from the right. It backfired. When all McCains campaign has are smears, the people get it. McCain has not had an original thought in God knows how long.

Now McCain is trying to walk it back by saying don’t be afraid of Obama. Well it is too late. McCains camp saw the negatives on this kind of personal attack and now are backtracking. What else is new? This guy is desperate and since he cannot talk about the economy he will resort to inciting the mob. This is a disgrace in this country. I don’t know what I was thinking. This is typical Rove all the way. From Acorn accusations to Rezko. Your little rethug campaign has failed. You all should be ashamed for trying to scare people with your lies and innuendo which have no basis in fact. Trying to incite fear by “who is he”. He has a 12 year record you all chose to ignore. I wonder why? Perhaps you all like the staus que. I have had enough. We will have a new democratic President and the rethugs are going down. Bye Bye.

  • lind

The msm has contributed in Bushes decision for war. If the msm would have just given us balance informed news during the primaries Hillary would be our nominee. But reporters like Blitzer have a long hate relation with the Clintons, Blitzer never got over the Lewinski story and never once asked a hard question about the war in Iraq but ask president Clinton why he didn’t resign over the Lewinski episode. That’s not journalism, it’s control to sway peoples opinions and influence. They are not there to inform us but to manipulate us. But the good part is, change the channal and stop listening.

  • Felizarte

Whatever it is that Sarah’s doing that drives the Obots crazy, I hope she continues to do. Go Sarah, Go, Go, Go!

    More Acorn comments

  • wodiej

I just hope that enough people care that Obama has lied, bilked the public out of tax dollars to fund Acorn which in turn is trying to steal the election for him.

They are showing some comments from people at a McCain rally and McCain said Obama is a decent man and people shouldn’t be afraid of him being President. Bullshit McCain. BULLSHIT.

  • Leisa

Take your lying talking points somewhere else.

  • Steve1

McCain needs to come out swining. Start the 527s, drop all of the shit on that shithead>>>

  • kgirl1028

McCain needs to get over his not wanting to be villian bullshit, They are going to hate you anyway, give’em something to hate you for. i understand McCain has honor and blah, blah, blah, but really how well will he sleep at night when obama is president and he tears this country appart. If Mccain loves this country i’m not saying he needs to fabricate things, he has a duty to give people the information, there by forcing the media to acknowledge it so that people can decide for themselves who they want to be president with a clear mind and clear view of the issues, but the longer he keeps his mouth shut he is allowing obama to bamboozle the american people. I’ve seen Cindy McCains face, and i know that she would wrip obama a new anus if given the chance. She does not like the way mccain or palin is being treated. when a woman like cindy mccain starts speaking her mind you know it’s bad.

  • Sarracuda In So Cal

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these so-called supporters that are saying “terrorist” and “Kill him” are democrat plants used to try to make us Republicans look bad. It’s unbeliveable with McCain, he is a great man, a great leader, an American hero but damn DUDE WAKE UP. He wants to be the President Of the United States yet he is succumbing to the damn liberal left media. Like some of my McCain supporter buddies have told me they wish Sarah was on the top of the ticket, she has more guts to speak the TRUTH the McCain does, I guarantee you all if it had been a Romney/Palin ticket, landslide victory. Not even close, even with the economy now, they would have still won, why, because Romney isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind, he says it like it is, and he is younger, more vocal, and has ZERO connection to Bush so no way in hell could Obama say that Romney is Bush, and can’t say that Sarah is Bush cause well, she has never been President or Vice President before. I LOVE John McCain but damn I wish he would have the same kind of spunk that Sarah has

  • Steve1

So true, I saw the exact same thing during the Dem primaries…McCain needs to show that he wants to be prez….knock that dude flat on his asshole!

  • Khan Krum

One other thing about McCain’s gentlemanly behavior. Recall from the post called “The Ammo Box” that he is thinking about dealing with all the fallout when he defeats that one.

It just occurred to me that in Georgian one of the words for a snake is ukhsenebeli, a taboo deformation that translates literally ‘the thing whose name shall not be mentioned’ (you don’t want to say its name for fear that it come out to you). Isn’t this similar to the taboo placed on Barack HUSSEIN Obama?

  • tzada

He is what you call an honorable gentleman and proud of it. But don’t mistake niceness for weakness… Anyone who does so, does it at their own peril.

  • wodiej

apparently all of us faithful Americans along with Fox news and Sarah Palin are going to have to carry McCain over the finish line. I have no idea what this strategy is they are using. The only thing I can think of is they are afraid of rioting with an Obama loss. This election is typical of what has been going on in this country for decades and it is finally reached a boiling point.

  • Steve1

F**K the MSM, this has to be McCain’s attitude. They are playing the game against him and Sarah since Day One…We really need to break the corporate controlled media. Thoses eggheads are the one of the worse things which affect or Democracy.

  • Steve1

Let them riot, they will have to face the consequences for their actions. I’m sick and tired of this attitude? What has happened to our system to be held hostage to this so-called threat! Well, let them..They will have to live with the consequences.

  • TeakWoodKite

Next time an Obama supporter calls me I am going to get the “keyword” generator for NSA some exercise.

If you mention Obama and any word(s) that describes an “unfortunate incident” in the same sentence, the NSA Obama Pillow Talk Team will spring into action and call the Secret Service for house call….

Folks, if you think that this administration is not listening to ALL communications in this country, go luck.

I will now take the tinfoil hat off. Good find Paul. Thanks

  • Sarracuda In So Cal

The media tried so hard to get Kerry elected but it did not work, too much of a stiff, not even some Democrats voted for Kerry, so now this is their last chance to get a Democrat in there, especially someone who is a left wing radical like Obama is, they share his views, watch CNN, they hate Israel, called them murderers when they invaded Lebanon to get back their soldiers who were taken prisoner, remember that, MSNBC has long been a Democrat channel, Only Fox news is more conservative but they do have a few democrat news people, so its more balanced, its horrible to think of an Obama presidency, I am just hoping that somehow, someway McCain and Palin can win, good must win over evil

  • Steve1

Hey Soetoro-Obama said “We will bring guns!” Where was the outrage??? Where was the MSM? He spoke these words to inter-city crowd made up of mostly young people. Shit with Mr. Sotoro. He advocates Robert Mugabe tactics, with his threats of violence!

The fourth estate is dead. May they never rest in peace. The only two who give you the truth are Lou Dobbs and Sean Hannity. Greta is OK but somewhat tilted in her interviews. The others are are forgetable.

  • wodiej

I agree w you all about the threats of riots etc. Our society has allowed a group of people to run amuck w no consequences for their actions.

  • Lee Ruth

    MoniQue,
I made this very observation this morning. Every time Obama goes up in the polls the market dives.

The lady that had the Secret Service come to her home called Sean Hannity’s show, yesterday. That is very scary.

I don’t remember anyone complaining about Secret Service coming to their home after all the outrageous comments made about Bush and Cheney. We may wish we had Bush back as President if Obama wins. I am afraid we will be like Venezuela in just a few years.

  • PhxNickD

so what? obama never said anything when people held up signs “iron my shirt” or “bros before hos”

I hope the mccain straight talk express just runs right over obama and all his cohorts

exactly, McCain needs to copy some of the shit that has been written on the blogs and make commercials about them and show the american public what a typical obot/dem acts like and

  • noepiphany

you can tell how much the fix is in when you see david brooks, o’reilly, kathleen parker and the likes coming out for BO, if not directly, then by attacking palin. from the moment palin was chosen by mccain o’reilly instantly put out the BO talking point that she had no experience!!! what a laugh, when you compare her experience to that of BO’s.

also remember when BO chose biden as VP and the corpmedia immediately had hagel, lugar and specter praising the move big-time. the story was in all the corpmedia even before any dem praised the choice.

fox didn’t do a poll for the last presidential debate, so murdoch press worldwide were quoting the ridiculous cnn and cbs polls as if they were legit.

the public’s trust in the corpmedia hit rock-bottom years ago and hasn’t gone up since. you are now fighting not against BO but against the corpmedia and those they represent.

it wouldn’t matter what mcpalin say or do, the corpmedia will twist it against them, so mcpalin should just keep up the good fight. conversely, it doesn’t matter how hideous BO is or what dirty tricks his campaign employs, the corpmedia will spin it to his advantage.

no way do the corpmedia and their bosses want a reformer in the white house. NO WAY.

things to clean up after Nov 4 if/when mcpalin win:

the electoral process, including primaries which should be held on the same date countrywide, no caucuses, no cross-voting, etc.

re-regulate the media, especially as regards election coverage.

how come every word out of a candidate’s mouth results in a billion words from the so-called ‘pundits’ and ‘commentators’.

    it is ludacris!

  • Kal

Wow. This is a great and strong statement. Hope it has some impact.

  • cathnealon

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Just because we had the Bush Cheney disaster doesn’t mean we put someone worse in the WH. No one is going to stop out free speech. If the Secret Service come to the door I might be freaked out in the first 30 seconds but they I would say bring it on, if I’m going to be harassed in the name of freedom to speak my mind, say anything you want. Many famous people spent nights in jail defending the Constitution, as FDR(oh wait a minute Barry Soetero said this this morning again channeling a famous person)we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Go Palin, she has thousands and thousands showing up for her rallies, that’s why they hate her.

  • Patti

I was talking to a friend tonight, her new husband is an Obot. We were discussing the election. The only two people she talks to about it are me and new husband.

I am for McCain, so she asks me questions about both. I give her the straight scoop on what I have learned here and other places. She doesnt like either all that much. Her husband tells her she has to vote for Obama. I just ask her, who do you trust more.

  • Zorro Astor

What is MOST disturbing to me, personally, is that the media have failed to do their job when it counts, and when lives are at stake.

    Hear hear.

  • Ben

You know where we are when Obama can say he had nothing to do with ACORN and he gets a pass.

Rick Davis nailed it but who will ever ask Obama?

Who will grill him on Ayers?

Heck I’d be surprised if Rezco rolled on him that anyone would push the point.

Now McCain won’t even fight in a rally.

God help my country. After the last few weeks I don’t even recognize it.

  • http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/ Not Your sweetie

The media never really turned on Bush. Truth is – the same interests that pushed W on us are now forcing Jr.Jr.

  • Uña de Gato

They pulled this same stunt at Clinton rallies. Remember all the disruptive Obama supporters who were getting in Bill Clinton’s face? The media then painted Bill Clinton as angry, erratic, and damaging to Hillary’s campaign. It is the same technique, but now with supposedly “racist” supporters of McCain. Astroturfing is absolutely at play here.

  • standard

HRC supporters see exactly what is going on because we just went through it.
There has got to be some way to keep this whoring media honest.
