TERRIFIC! Thank you. I especially like the end where you remind us we are about to be reoriented! If anyone of my former Democratic friends who are now supporting the One bothered to read the CAC goals, they would see they are going to have reoriented children! We will have entire teams of people including therapists there to help correct any thoughts of individualism. But my Democratic friends are too busy buying their political news from the MSM – and if they don’t mention it there, it doesn’t exist. No wonder As Seen On TV does so well.

Seriously, there is no exuse for an obama supporter not to be disturbed by what is right in front of his nose.

Barack Obama’s friends supporters political patrons financial patrons and Moral patrons have all been saying the things that with any other candidate would scare the crap out of america and disqualify the candidate from taking the office of POTUS under any circumstances.

But the golden tongue of Barack the Orator seems to lul his ever eager suplicants into a false sense of ambivalance to any and all information right in front of their faces and the Main Stream media is the back up orchestra to this unqualified pied piper.

One day america will wake up and realize they were violated.

Hopefully enough will wake before election day to prevent the greatest political mistake of this nations lifetime from taking place.

Its not about his skin color.

It’s about the content of his character.

as a follow up read this piece:

    http://pajamasmedia.com/victordavishanson/jumping-ship/

This is becoming a very strange campaign. On CNN this evening both David Gergen and Ed Rollins echoed the current mantra that the “old” noble McCain is gone, and a “new” nastier one has emerged, largely because of his attacks on Ayers, perhaps his planned future ads on Wright, and a few unhinged people shouting at his campaign stops. Recently Christopher Buckley endorsed Obama, likewise lamenting the loss of the old noble McCain. NY Times columnist David Brooks dubbed Palin a “cancer,” and he suggested that Obama’s instant recall of Niehbuhr sent a tingle up his leg as Obama once did to Chris Matthews as well.

A couple of thoughts: the George Bush, Sr. / Willie Horton campaign was far tougher; so were the Bush 2000/2004 efforts. If anything, McCain’s campaign is subdued in comparison to what we’ve seen on both sides in past years. Indeed, McCain as a vicious campaigner is a complete fabrication, but, again, a brilliant subterfuge on the part of Team Obama that, in fact, has run, via appendages, the far more vicious race. Obama and his surrogates have repeatedly engaged in racial politics (as Bill Clinton lamented when in fury he denounced the “race card”); when there was never evidence that McCain was using race as a wedge issue, it was clear Obama most surely was–preemptively, on at least two occasions, warning Americans he would soon be the victim of opposition racial stereotyping. His surrogates like Biden and those in the Senate continue to link legitimate worries about OBama’s past with racism.

Second, for about 3 months all we’ve heard are references to McCain’s age, with adjectives and phrases like confused, can’t remember any more, disturbed, lost his bearings, etc. Moreover, so far, McCain supporters have not broken into Biden’s email, or accused Biden of being a Nazi, or accused anyone of not bearing one of their own children, or photo-shopped grotesque pictures of Obama on the Internet (as in the Atlantic magazine case). I don’t think deranged McCain supporters in Hollywood or television almost daily are quoted as damning Obama in unusually crude terms. Nor are white racist ministers calling McCain a ‘messiah’ or McCain operatives fraudulently swarming voter registration centers. And on and on.

Instead I think what we are seeing again is an interesting phenomenon of the old nice/now mean McCain. A great many moderates and conservatives are worn out and tired of Bush and Bush hatred, the European furor, serial charges of racism and illiberalism, and finally, in their weariness, think that Obama will, in a variety of ways, just make all the ickiness go away–as if he will make all of us be liked abroad and end racial and red/blue fighting at home. They should ask themselves whether Jimmy Carter restored American popularity with his human rights campaigns, praise of left-wing dictators, dialogue during the hostage crisis (cf. “The Great Satan”), boasts of no more inordinate fear of communism, etc., or whether Obama, in his Trinity/Acorn/Pfleger years, brought racial healing and understanding to Chicago

Second, with Obama now with an 6-8 point lead, some in the DC/NY corridor these last three weeks figure it’s time now to jump on, or at least sort of jump, since the train they think is leaving the station and there might be still be some space at the dinner table on the caboose. They also believe as intellectuals that the similarly astute Obamians may on occasion inspire, or admire them as the like-minded who cultivate the life of the mind–in contrast to the “cancer” Sarah Palin, who, with her husband Todd, could hardly discuss Proust with them or could offer little if any sophisticated table-talk other than the chokes on shotguns or optimum RPMs on snow-machines.

And third, a lot of moderates who would not vote for McCain liked him when he was a sophisticated, ironic maverick loser scoring points against the simplistic Bush and other cardboard-cut-out conservatives. Now he has the onus of winning a campaign and can’t be a noble, tragic loser;so it is easy to say he is no good since he is less than perfect. The sure iconoclastic loser has an attraction that the mainstream conservative possible winner does not.

Obama, as I have said ad nauseam, has brilliantly prepped the battlefield to such a degree that a Farrakhan endorsement or surrogates calling Palin a quasi-Nazi or a bimbo, or smearing McCain as near senile is irrelevant; yet one screamer in a crowd of tens of thousands is proof of McCain’s and Palin’s racism and hatred.

Again, most conservatives know this paradox, but for some, being outraged as the conservative voice of reason, at McCain’s supposed low road ensures a CNN spot, or some future rehabilitation during the expected Obama regnum of the next eight years. I think should I write a column praising Obama’s wit, taste in books, and metrosexuality I would be dubbed principled rather than cynical, ‘even-handed’ rather than self-serving, and a maverick rather than toadish.

Yet for a self-acclaimed conservative to vote Obama would mean that higher taxes, larger government, more entitlements, more of a UN-centered foreign policy, dialogue with an Iran, less coal, oil, and nuclear energy production at home, more “oppression” studies and “reparations”, leftish Supreme Court judges, open borders (I could go on) were the truly conservative positions, or perhaps suddenly truly the ‘right’ positions.

And as far as ethics goes, in fact, a cursory review of the past Obama campaigns would reveal a ruthlessness never seen in any of McCain’s efforts. Obama’s record is far more left than McCain’s is far right. Obama the healer has proven to be the most partisan in the Senate, McCain one of the most bipartisan.

But to believe that truth would be–if we remember that scene in Tolkien’s Two Towers–to trust the grating harsh voice of Gandalf detailing the dangers of Saruman rather than the mellifluous charm of the latter who in soothing tones outlines his own victimhood.

Absolutely! Character does matter and Obama lacks it.

I honestly can’t believe that the regular citizens of this country cannot see what’s right in front of their face. Even one of Obama’s associations would have wiped John McCain off the map.

It saddens me yes, but it angers me even more. What is it going to take for people to see what’s going on???

  • K Lynne

Can someone help me out here?

I have a number of friends who are voting Obama, and refuse to read ANYTHING from sources that could be considered right-leaning. Most of them say they ‘liked the OLD John McCain’, but can’t vote for him now.

Personally, I think the fact that Limbaugh and the other right-wingers hate him is a plus ;-) – and I’m a moderate Republican.

So if you had to make a case for McCain / against Obama without hitting any of the more tenuous stuff (the birth certificate or the Whitey tape, for example), or links to known conservative sites, what would you say??

    Thanks!

Barack Obama – In these economic times of crisis where americans are concerned about putting dinner on the table Barack Feels your Pain!

    As Evidenced by his
New Domestic Policy Statement on PIE:

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/10/yes-we-canbreak.html

Yes We Can…break the Pie Record

    October 11, 2008 2:53 PM

ABC News John Berman, Sunlen Miller, and Ursula Fahy report: Barack Obama smashed his record. No sooner did the Illinois Senator set a new bar for mentions of the word “pie” in a single campaign event, than he shattered his own mark. This morning, as previously noted on ABCNews.com, he spoke the word “pie” a staggering 13 times in one 86 second period. It was a number most thought could never be matched; like Hank Aaron’s 755, Mark Spitz’s 7 gold medals. But like Aaron and Spitz, Obama learned nothing lasts forever.

A mere 2 hours after reaching the magic 13, Obama did better; 15 mentions of the word “pie” in 104 seconds. This time it was West Philadelphia. And unfortunately for his staff and traveling press corps, it was the same story about his visit to a diner in Ohio with Governor Ted Strickland.

    Here we go:

“We decided to stop at a diner because I was hungry and I decided I wanted some pie (1). Pie (2). That’s what I wanted.”

At which point, as usual, someone in the crowd listening offered some pie of their own.

“You make pie(3)?” Obama asked? “What kind of pie (4) you make? Sweet potato pie (5)? I like sweet potato pie (6). I’m thinking of having a sweet potato pie (7) here in Philadelphia? Because I’ve heard a lot of people are saying they can make sweet potato pie (8). I’ll put it up against my mother in laws sweet potato pie (9). Alright, you give up? Nah. You. So anyway they did not have sweet potato pie (10) in South OH. So I had coconut cream pie (11). The governor of OH he had lemon meringue pie (12). So we ordered our pie (13)and I decide that I’m going to take a picture with the wait staff.”

It was at this point that he had matched his record. Had he stopped here, it certainly would have been impressive…yet not historic. I would like to say the crowd stood silent waiting to see if he would break the record, thrilled to say they witnessed someone reach pie immortality. But the truth is, they might have been silent out of concern. How much pie can one person take? Nevertheless, the record was within reach. And Obama continued:

“Just as we were re finished taking the picture and the owner comes out, with our pie (14). So I take my pie (15).”

That was it, he had done it. The record. Some pie purists note that even though he did break the record for “number” of pie mentions, he did not set a new record for “rate.” This time he spoke it an average of once every 6.93 seconds. Earlier he managed once
    every 6.62 seconds.

Barack Obama Has a plan for Pie and as Michelle Obama Said:

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”

    Got PIE?

I would ask them this question Klynne…
If they were Clinton fans ( of either WJC or HRC )…
Ask them if they think HRC should run again in 2012…if so then the only chance she has to run again is if Barky loses…it is that simple.

If they are independents and like the Old McCain…most folks understand McCain is solidifying his base which is what Barky has done as well…So how would that change McCain? He’s still the independent thinker he always was.

And the third question I would ask them is this…Why is it reasonable to expect Barky to be effective as POTUS….When he hasn’t been as a state senator or a US senator…Or even a Committee chair?

All any voter has to do is look at the record…Just look at the record…most folks are lazy. are these folks LAZY?…double dog dare them to prove you wrong..add a pizza and a beer to sweeten the pot…

  • HARP

Why the hell is Mac not pushing this letter:

    Among the more prescient observations:

We are concerned that if effective regulatory reform legislation for the housing-finance government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) is not enacted this year, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole. …

Today, almost half of the home mortgages in the U.S. are guaranteed by these GSEs. They are mammoth financial institutions with almost $1.5 Trillion of debt outstanding between them. With the fiscal challenges facing us today (deficits, entitlements, pensions and flood insurance), Congress must ask itself who would pay this debt if Fannie or Freddy could not? …

It is vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that these institutions benefit from strong and independent regulatory supervision, operate in a safe and sound manner, and are primarily focused on their statutory mission. More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event either GSE should fail.

SIGNED by McCain and 19 republican senators.

If the Obommunnists take power how long before Kristallknacht in our country? I give it 18 months. first, it’ll be an attack on the Hasidic communities in Brooklyn and elsewhere followed by open antagonism of working class whites and rural folk in an effort to try to “activate” an internal pushback insurrection thereby giving the “excuse” to confiscate small arms from citizens…. that’s when it will get really ugly and the Obommunist dismantlement of America will be in full swing! Doubt this scenario at our own peril it is coming if the Obommunist putch is allowed to proceed! Country 1st!

  • Ferd McBerfle

It really isn’t that sinister. Ultimately, it is just the power of really stupid people in large numbers following the lead lemming off the cliff while trying to drag us with them.

    Also K Lynne,

Ask your friends who support barack obama these questons:

    Why does Barack Obama…

…Refuse to release his Occidental College Records?

…Refuse to release his Columbia University Records?

…Refuse to release his Medical Records? (only 1 page so far)

…Refuse to release his State Senate Office Records? (claims he never kept any)

…Refuse to release his Full US Senate Records? (Corsi will be on Fox on Monday Discussing unreleased emails from Obama’s Senate email account colluding with Odingo in Kenya)

…Attempt to block release of the Annenburg Challenge Records? (His only executive experience that he leaves off his resume in which he was hand picked by Ayers to help distribute over 100 million dollars over several years to radical groups and programs for the betterment of eduction that resulted in no improvement to the education system in chicago schools)

…Refuse to release his Vault Copy of his Birth Certificate? (Obamacrimes.com has all the details, and there is a pending case in the Phili Courts from Philip Berg challenging his elegibility to be POTUS and instead of full transparancy to resolve the matter immeadiately, the Obama campaign and the DNC are asking for the Judge to Dismiss the lawsuit and prevent discovery from going forward. How much effort is required to provide your Vault copy of the BIrth Certificate? A Phone call to the Record Holders office in Hawaii does it.)

    …Then read this article
    http://www.houstonpress.com/2008-02-28/news/barack-obama-screamed-at-me/
…about how Emil Jones Made himself a US Senator by sticking Barack Obama’s Name on every legislation that came up when the Democrats took over the Illinois Senate to give him Legislation Credibility even though he did nothing on any of those bills, as a way to bolster his political reputation to get elected to the senate.

If your freinds say well why should he release records, ask them are we as American’s not entitled to know through full disclosure of all information exactly who we are voting for for the highest office in the land?

This is not a matter of privacy. This is a matter of entrusting a man with the keys to our future, and the power to make life and deat decisions that will impact our loved ones in the armed forces and potentially everyone in this country.

Ask them if they would leave their infant child in the hands of someone who refuses to release pertinent records about their past to you when asked?

Ask them what standards do we hold Barack Obama to when it comes to truth and transparency about who he is?

Ask them Do they know Barack Obama as well as America Knows John McCain?

I loved this video- it is so scary to me that so many Americans are willing to elect Obama as the next President and actually think he will be a great leader for our country.

Something disturbing is the 7-11 election polls. They show Obama leading 60-40% and have correctly predicted the results of the last 2 elections.

The 7 11 poll shows Obama with a large lead in Texas, Arizona, and Kansas- states that he is highly unlikely to win.

I don’t know about that. It’s true, a lot of real estate got burned in neighborhood riots, but somehow I don’t see all those techie students and latte drinkers wanting to trash and burn their neighborhoods. And would AA supporters let themselves be suckered into being the only victims?

I think there is a bigger threat, and that is the by-now almost 100% agreement by the msm — and even by some jerks on Fox — that literally anything even merely factual about BO, ACORN, Ayers, etc., is all racist, because of that one nut (sorry about the bad pun) in McCain’s audience the other day.

Somebody has got to push back against the idea that if people are frustrated and upset because this country is in a giant mess, for them to express it in any way that relates to ‘don’t vote for BO’ is proof that Repubs are racist, segregationist, and inciting violence.

What is wrong with this moral reversal?

It is the BIG LIE — IT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE!

His refusal is an insidious form of voter fraud that is not punishable by law.

It is an insidious way of manipulating public information.

It is an insidious way of playing with the constitutional rights of voters ability to discern and vote a representative government.

A representative government. A REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT. A REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT.

And then one would be accused of alarmist if one says that if the candidate refuses to ‘REPRESENT HIMSELF CORRECTLY’ then chances are and probabilities increases that the candidate would morph into what could very well be labeled as ‘our worst nightmare.’

If the candidate MISREPRESENTS HIMSELF then the candidate attains a position through misrepresentation. When that happens, he would have obtained votes, but he would not have obtained the transference of ‘REPRESENTATION’ into himself from those who voted for him. Thus concluding that those that voted for him are not nor will they be REPRESENTED by him.

The good Congressman Lewis is up to his old tricks. Quite an exchange between McCain and Obama.

Listen Obama did this to Hillary. One of his goons comes out and calls Hillary or McCain racist, it’s a red herring to get them to stop the attacks.

They get off message and go on the defensive. The attacks work, McCain needs to stay on message and ignore the bullshit or turn it back on them and say the Obama camp is race baiting.

I’ll never understand that, unless, as they say, he has something to hide.

I simply say that the tax plan that Obama is proposing is very much wrong given our current conditions. You don’t raise taxes on business in this situation. That’s a recipe for more failures.

I also point out that I’m voting for McCain because of national security issues. He is simply qualified. Obama is unproven, and the global situation is far too tenuous to take a risk on someone with less than a year as a senator.

It is the end of this era that constantly said that Americans being 3 percent of the population consume 25 percent of its oil. And Barack always says in no uncertain terms, “this has to change.’ And there are various way at changing it I suppose. And one way is to kill enough Americans to balance the numbers. Another is to take away enough freedoms in order to stop Americans from doing that. And various others ways. But which way would the end of an era choose to do what it wanted to do for so many years? No one knows.

What’s ridiculous is that Obama’s crowds are equally rowdy and mean-spirited. He’s doing nothing to quiet the rhetoric down.

Mac did. He even corrected the minister today.

He’s acting honorably. Mac is not.

And Palin’s not letting up. She continues to insist that looking at the record is NOT mean-spirited. She’s right. It’s not. And it’s not remotely racist, either.

Today she’s got a great speech on abortion. Very light touch, and she brings up his own words about pregnancy not being a punishment. Remember that choice remark of his?

  • kelley in virginia

Obama will not take Texas. No way. And not AZ either. Those pollsters are just wrong. So maybe alot of the other polls are wrong as well. Heh?

  • C.S.

What will it take? A public ripping off the mask of the mystery man Soertoro/Obama. Will it happen? Not if mass media can prevent it. Even the most remote media outlet, from TV guide to Entertainment Tonight broadcasts syrupy interviews with Soertoro/Obama and his newly manufactured Michelle consort in giggly housewife mode.

Even interviews with guest stars like Sigourney Weaver slip in little Palin bashing tidbits in interviews.

Q – You play Eli’s (Eli Stone series) therapist. Have you had much experience on the psychology front?

A – I actually have a therapist. She’s very smart and we try not to talk about politics because we’re both incensed about Sarah Palin…”

Since Weaver is supposed to be supporting Soertoro/Obama I don’t think they were “incensed” about the treatment Palin is receiving from Soertoro/Obama followers. This is but one example. It’s one media source I certainly never considered until it was pointed out to me and since I became aware of this and started checking it out I’ve found a lot of this bias that is never refuted; just allowed to cogitate in the minds of the program’s viewers.

    Also KLynne,

Ask your Obama hugging friends this:

Do you think that you would be afforded the same “courtesy” to not submit your college transcripts, your driver’s license, your birth certificate, your fingerprints and whatever to get that job you want? Do you think that Obama should be held to a different standard than yourself? Is it acceptable to simply give up because he is Obama?

  • OhioMary

KLynne – and ask them to look at how Obama helped the people in his own district. The people he should have been fighting for. He funded money to Rezko so those people could have better housing and they ended up with no heat, no cooling, and sewage coming up in their sinks. The buildings are now condemned. If he can’t take care of his district, how can he take care of America. (And most of these people were the very poor – the kind of people he should have been trying to protect).

typewriterstreaming — I think Obama figures with Acorn giving him the dead vote he is a shoe in to be President. What he doesn’t get is that Americans are getting angrier at this boy king by the minute. He has now garnered the attention of the Right Wing and they are going to vote in huge numbers despite the fact that McCain was not their first choice. How could this guy be that stupid? Perhaps if he had had some experience before running for the biggest job in the world he might have understood that you don’t brag about cheating the American people out of their votes. He figures with all the money the fat cats have given him and all the positive media coverage — the voters are the only impediment to his glorious self-absorbed reign. On November 4th 2008 the voters will show Mr. Obama that we are the ones who pick our presidents.

  • trails

I doubt the polls are as firmly for Obama as they’re making them out to be. All this media hype about the race being over and about McCain as an historical footnote reminds me too much of the palaver they put out about Hillery toward the end. And all that came at a time when she was winning the popular vote in primaries by huge numbers.

I think the doubts being raised by McCain about OB are working, and this is the way Obots, internet or MSM ones, are trying to fight back. But that’s just my gut speaking. No scientific methodology here to back me up.

I know one thing, though. My vote goes to McCain, and if the Democrats keep up this race baiting, I may just end up casting a straight Republican ticked. I’m really ticked!

  • http://minx.cc/?post=275321 JB

  • mcpalin hill

Shiloh — New NBC poll numbers. Obama is 3% ahead of McCain with 6% undecided. Sounds like a tie or if you consider the skewed polls — could be McCain has the lead.

I know people understand in their gut that is is a bad guy. I was phone banking for McCain a couple of days ago and Kelsey Grammer came in to speak to us. He said “if the guy is leading by so much why does he have to register dead people”?

I think Obama is in panic mode which is the reason that racism has reared its ugly head once again. New NBC poll has Obama leading McCain by 3% with 6% undecided. At worst this race is tied — at best McCain is leading.

  • imustprotest

I hope you’re right. I’ve heard that McCain’s people are telling him to back off and just talk about his plans. Sounds like their worried the race baiting will work to me.

What’s interesting is that a lot of these polls are the media polls. If people are following closely, they’ll know that. If people AREN’T following closely, they are bound to be tuning out the poll stories. There are simply too many and the results are all over the place.

So I’d say this poll approach may be backfiring. The ones who are calling it a landslide may end up and convince lazy voters it’s OK to stay home. He’s got it sewn up.

I was surprised toward the end of the primary that he was NOT getting out his AA or youth vote in certain states, such as PA and Oregon.

But they all probably know all of that already and don’t care. Good luck.

Jeremiah, I, too, thank you for your video links. No disrespect to my new-found conservative friends, but to find myself watching Fox News and nodding my head in agreement with what they’re sating is truly the end of the world as I knew it.

BTW, for those who don’t remember what the old standards were for obtaining mortgages, I offer this. When my husband and I bought our first house in the 1960s, we needed a 20 percent down payment, while the purchase price of the house could not exceed 2 and 1/2 times our salary. One of my friends of the same age said she remembered that the house payment could not exceed one week’s salary.

In contrast, I talked with one young woman, recently, who said she bought a $200,000-plus house on a $35,000 annual salary. That is what I think they mean when they keep talking about lowering the mortgage standards.

You probably knew this, but just in case you didn’t know what the old standards were, I thought it might be helpful to get them out there.

    - Obama will be the Herbert Hoover of modern day -

There is NOTHING in Barack Obama’s life or voting record that even suggests he will be a new FDR.

By the time Franklin D. Roosevelt became president, in March of 1933, he ALREADY had a wealth of achievement, aggressive reform and progressive initiatives on his record

At the age of 28, FDR was elected to the New York State senate (n 1910) from the district around Hyde Park (in Duchess County, NY), which had not elected a Democrat since 1884. As a NY state senator, FDR was very aggressive in trying to institute reforms, and even fought AGAINST the party bosses in his own Democratic Party. He became a leader of a group of reformers who opposed Manhattan’s Tammany Hall machine which dominated the state Democratic Party.

Obama, on the other hand, in his years in the Illinois state senate, did NOTHING to reform Chicago politics and, in fact, JOINED in the traditions there.

In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson — having noticed the aggressive reformist work FDR was doing in New York — asked the 31-year old FDR to come to Washington as the Assistant Secretary of the Navy. Roosevelt served in that position during the First World War and, although he was only the Assistant Sec. of the Navy, Roosevelt was very aggressive in modernizing the navy during his SEVEN YEARS in that office.

Obama, on the other hand, before he had even accomplished ANYTHING in the U.S. senate, started running for president 145 days after arriving in Washington.

As assistant secretary, Roosevelt also worked to expand the Navy and founded the United States Navy Reserve.

Obama, on the other hand, never founded anything.

As Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Roosevelt negotiated with Congressional leaders and other government departments to get Navy budgets approved. He became an enthusiastic advocate of the submarine and also of combating the German submarine menace to Allied shipping by building a mine barrier across the North Sea from Norway to Scotland. In 1918, he visited Britain and France to inspect American naval facilities. At the end of World War I in November 1918, he was in charge of demobilization, although he OPPOSED plans to completely dismantle the Navy.

Obama, on the other hand, said — prior to entering the U.S. senate — he would NEVER vote to fund the war but then proceeded to vote “yes” on every funding bill for the Iraq war, except the last one. Obama does not have a clue what to do. He was “for” it before he was “against” it before he was “for” it again — “it” being just about every issue you can think of.

In 1920, the Democratic National Convention chose the 38-year old Roosevelt as the candidate for Vice President of the United States. FDR used that opportunity to travel and campaign aggressively ALL across the United States — acquainting himself with the different regions and their different problems and issues. The Republican Warren Harding won that election, but FDR had created a political sensation with his campaigning. His star was bright, he was only 38 years old but he was on his way to the top.

Then polio struck him down. But FDR was never a quitter and eight years later (in 1928) ran for and WON the Governorship of New York. Roosevelt was New York Governor when the stock market crashed, in1929, but he lost no time in moving aggressively to relieve the suffering of the homeless, the hungry, the sick and the unemployed by implementing social programs that were a FIRST IN THE NATION.

Obama, on the other hand, joined forces in Illinois with the worst elements of society and using the money raised for him by SLUMLORD Tony Rezko, launched his political career in the home of a domestic TERRORIST who still has NO regrets about his bomb-planting activities and hates America to this day.

In President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first 100 days in office, he sent Congress a record number of major bills — 13 MAJOR “relief, recovery and reform” bills, which Congress passed.

That is a record unmatched by ANY president before or since.

Obama, on the other hand, in his almost four years in the U.S. Senate, has originated, fought for and passed ONLY TWO BILLS — and one of those was the renaming of a post office.

So, why am I documenting all of this?

To say that if Obama gets elected and has a strong Democratic majority in the Congress, he will have NO EXCUSES for NOT solving the country’s problems, both domestic and foreign: the domestic and worldwide financial crisis, the turmoil in the Middle East, the search for alternative energy sources, the growing shortage of the world’s supply of drinkable water, dealing with global climate change along with the diseases that global warming will stimulate, and America’s declining ability to be a world leader.

But here’s my PREDICTION: Barack Obama will be the Herbert Hoover of modern day, he will NOT solve our problems but will exacerbate them — and in four years, the Republicans will sweep into office again.

Don’t forget, the stock market crash in 1929 was NOT the low point of The Great Depression, the low point came a year or two later when everything Herbert Hoover did and didn’t do just made the suffering worse.

So, my prediction is that Obama will make things worse, not better.

And, having NO excuse — since all sections of the government will be in the hands of the likes of Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi — ALL of our woes will be blamed on Obama and the Democrats, and the Republicans will ride that discontent to victory four years from now.

I could be wrong, but we’ll see.

  • mcpalin hill

annin — Obama’s achilles heal is that he really wants Republicans to vote for him in big numbers. So every once in a while he compliments Reagan or calls himself a Conservative. I think Obama is upset at the anger being displayed by the right against him now so he gets a phoney poll to tell him that the right loves him.

I was one of the lucky ones.

I got a house with a mortgage payment equivalant to 2 weeks salary. (thats double safe lending standards)

I borrowed against the house based on projected value on a renovation and remodeled and sold it for 2X the original purchase price.

After 3 years of back breaking work and struggling to pay the costs of the reno and the mortgage and the taxes, i got lucky, sold it and made maybe a real 20K profit after everything was said and done.

In all honesty i could have played the stock market day trading and had more fun and more profit.

But 3 years of my life gone no vacations no enjoyment other than building shit and being worn out and the only reason i sold was because i saw the bubble bursting but then i worked in the mortgage industry for nearly 10 years and i knew what was going on.

Bear in mind this was my home so i lived in the middle of the reno for 3 years…utter stress. Never Again.

Had they required 20% down (and i had sterling credit when i went house shopping) no way i would have purchased a home.

But then had they required 20 down i would have been much more frugal in my house purchase and would never have bought into the mania of buy remodel sell. I was one of the lucky ones. Many are not.

Well, people vote based on their own thinking, not on MSN. The economy is the reason for the change in the polls. That’s all. Anytime this has happened, people vote the other party “out.” Bill C. was right about that. If McCain loses, it’s strictly due to the crisis. And he’s coming out with more on his economic plan again. He’s working it hard.

But…I don’t quite grasp why everyone is so scared of MSN. I never watch them. They lost 17 million viewers last year. They are in the tank.

So why all the concern over their news problems?

Lesson #1: nothing is ever Obama’s fault

    Some predictions:

1.) If elected, Obama will break his promises and ALWAYS blame someone or something else (FISA, legal immunity for the telecoms, public financing)

2.) When asked about his relationship with some contemptible person, or corrupt person or organization, Obama will always lie and swear he had nothing to do with that person or organization — hardly knew them (Ayers, Rezko and ACORN)

3.) Obama will always blame someone else for doing whatever it is that he is doing (using “race” in the election )

4.) If elected, Obama will nominate America-haters to the federal courts (which is why Rev. Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Father Pfleger, and Khalid al Mansour have supported Obama)

5.) Obama has more than 300 economists advising him but, since Obama knows diddly about economics, he will not know whose advice to implement and will make disastrous decisions

6.) Obama will not create universal healthcare, but will have an excuse

7.) Obama will not create a stable economy, and will blame the Clintons

8.) Obama will not calm the Middle East, but will blame John McCain

9.) Obama will break a mirror and blame his seven years of bad luck on Joe Biden

10.) Obama will NOT get our troops OUT of Iraq by “the end of 2009″ — as he said he would during the Jan. 2008 debate — and he will blame it on General Petraeus

Agreed. Also Obama is using the same playbook he used in the primaries: play the race card, co-opt the media, hit low and claim to be the victim,
use polls (how many times did Hillary win when the polls said she had no chance), pretend the thing is over and he won. It didn’t work in the primaries without having the cheat in with the DNC and RBC.

This time there are no superdelegates and no caucases. This time the people decide. Therefore, McCain will win.

We just have to make sure that the voter fraud is prevented. And ACORN is under scrutiny as well
    as Brunner in Ohio.

    11. any country that we have difficulties with
(no doubt due to Obama’s lack of knowledge and character) will be racist. Prepare to hear that the French are racist. The Koreans are racist.
    The Chinesse are racist.

Luckily, I believe we will be spared Obama. I don’t think the majority of Americans are stupid enough to fall for his BS.

  • johninca

So get this: I was watching football and was rudely interrupted by an Obama ad saying McCain gives a hundred million Americans “nothing,” while Obama will give the middle class “three times” the tax relief McCain will. All I could hear is Barry declaiming:

So John McCain offers you nothin’? We can do better than that– we’ll give you three times nothin’!

If Obama is so far ahead why is he furiously adding more paid staff in states like PA. If he is really up 10 or 11 points as the “Polls” show then it is a waste of money to add staff there.

    Something isn’t adding up.

I am so mad at Secy Brunner I sent her the following email.
I am a registered Democrat and I am outraged at your suppression of allowing the Voting Polls to verify the authenticity of the ballots/registration this year. What kind of American are you anyway? If this is how the Democrats act I want no part of it.

Our vote is the most sacred thing we have in this country and to allow a bunch of liars to try to take it away is outrageous. And for you, a Secretary of State, to allow is is absolutely horrible.

It is time for you to grow up, act like a true American and stop being partisan. If Barack cannot win based on the legal balloting then he doesn’t deserve the White House. Remember Florida. Are you trying to act like the Republicans? When crimes like this are allowed we have become a third world country. The last time I checked we were not in Cuba or Iraq.

There are very few times in a person’s life when they have to publicly make the right call and your decision to take this to a higher court and allow Ohio to have fraudulent votes was your moment. Shame on you.

Hey, guys – Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ve been reading here for ages and feel like I have sooo many reasons not to vote for Obama that I just can’t put it all into words!!

My very biggest issue is that he hasn’t accomplished ANYTHING of note during his years as an organizer and as a Senator. Bill Clinton’s quote really resonated with me – the ‘would you vote for someone who you agree with half the time, but could get something done’ quote.

I’m going to bookmark this page and take notes. Thanks again!

“I know one thing, though. My vote goes to McCain, and if the Democrats keep up this race baiting, I may just end up casting a straight Republican ticked. I’m really ticked!”

    ——————-

That’s what I’m doing though I did make sure I could live with the voting record on a couple key issues (for me) from the republican congressional members here. I believe in some power balance especially in the first year or two of a presidency. (Sorry, I”m preparing for the worst.)

Besides I’m not voting D until, and if, the members get their heads straight. There are some good people on both sides of the isle, but mostly the new D party (Obama, Pelosi et al) scare the hell out of me.

I live in Arizona…there is no way Obama will win AZ…unless ACORN finds a way to allow illegals to vote.

I am glad some of your readers enjoyed my video “Give Obama a Chance”. I have uploaded a mock interview with Obama, raising the question of where he is getting his money from and how he can afford a 30 minute prime time TV ad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Sr4wcVSLMs
