Hannity Open Thread

(bumped down Hannity has a new show tonight, Matthew Weaver just told us. Like last Sunday, we’ll try to get the videos asap for you.

Actually, I was hoping that Hannity’s producers would rerun his show from last week. They should air that several more times. Oh well. Must we listen to Bob Beckel? Geraldine Ferraro is fine, but Bob is such a stooge.

  • PhxNickD

Hope it’s about who is really inciting hate and riots.

      I hope so too.

Here is a YouTube video (6 parts) of Hannity’s show last week.

I’m curious about Palin’s missing college years.

Why did she switch colleges at least five times over the six years it took her to get a B.A. degree? (At least five times, because her first college attendance, according to her biography, was at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, but the registrar there stated last month that they have no record she was ever enrolled.)

        • joanie in Brooklyn

Could it be that she moved from place to place? I have a nephew that is now in his 3rd college and hopefully will get his degree from this one. His educational journey has taken him from Rhode Island to New Jersey to New York and now back to New Jersey. There is very likely an innocent explanation for Governor Palin’s numerous college enrollments. But I would hazard a guess that explanations for Palin’s actions will be easier to come by than for Obama. Just keep digging, genius, you’ll get the answers to the questions. By the way, your Obotness is showing. Spotted you a mile away.

        • Donna

She said she followed scholarship money because her parents couldn’t afford to pay. So where she could get the most in scholarships is where she went. That’s why she competed in Miss Alaska – the scholarship $$.

        • Soldier of Christ

I think if you go to Fox introduction of her life and her school records were give out. We all saw the entire life of Palin. I guess you must have missed the college days. She switched college several times. I think you should be more worry about Obama’s and his two pakinstinnni ex-roommates and his visit to the middleeast in the time of Jidhad- now those records seem to be missing.

“Republican John McCain vowed Sunday to ‘whip’ Democratic rival Barack Obama’s ‘you-know-what’ when the two presidential candidates meet Wednesday in their final televised debate.”

“We’re a couple points down, OK, nationally, but we’re right in this game,” McCain said to cheers. “The economy has hurt us a little bit in the last week or two, but in the last few days we’ve seen it come back up because they want experience, they want knowledge and they want vision. We’ll give that to America.”

Still, McCain promised to run a “respectful” campaign in the weeks to come.

“I respect Senator Obama, we will conduct a respectful race and be sure everyone else does too. But there are stark difference between us,” McCain said.

“I respect Senator Obama, we will conduct a respectful race and be sure everyone else does too. But there are stark difference between us,” McCain said.

The hell with that shit, he has not run a respectable race. We are at war here in our own country and finding to save this great nation. If there was ever a time to be presidential the time is now. FIGHT DAMN IT!

    • Dark Knight

I know!!! I don’t underdtand how we can let Obama get away with all the things in his closet!!! I hope McCain is just saying this as a matter of public relations, but I hope he really fires. Otherwise those damn 527s better wake up and ignore McCain !!

    • SnarlingCur

This just gives McCain “plausible deniability” when the October Surprise comes. which is not a bad thing.
Often the bomb drops, and people look right at the top of the ticket, and resent them, instead of the facts that have just been laid out before them.
It’s like an defensive lineman makes a good tackle, but the crowd looks at his coach and goes “That’s just mean! He would have made that goal if you hadn’t have stopped him!”

      • Don

This is all based on there being an “October surprise” that will be used. Those in the know on this supposed “October surprise” just might want to get serious about using/releasing it. Folks, the election is three weeks and two days away and there are only 19 days left in October!

    • Ginger

If we act respectful….we’ll be the only side doing it, so I say let’s get the word out and do what has to be done. Someone has to talk the talk, even if John has to walk a respectful walk. No one as speaking for me. I speak for myself.

  • http://www.liberalrapture.com/ John

The time for a “respectful” campaign is long gone.

    • Brendy

Obama was NOT respectful toward’s Hillary campaign and now Obummer is ‘afraid’ of another party being disrespectful of HIM??? Of course, ‘disrespectful’ and ‘over the top’ in Obama’s mind, means ‘don’t let the truth out about me’. It’s ‘disrespectful’ and ‘over the top’ to tell the truth.

  • http://www.theindependentview.com Matthew Weaver

Question on tax burdens. As they currently state, 40% of Americans do not pay tax. If Obama were to “lower” taxes–which I believe is not the case overall, what will be the end result percentage of people not paying taxes? Will it break 50%?

    • Kal

Re BO and taxes: Sat. night, Fox had that WSJ guy on (ended at 11.30 pm est) and he was doing an analysis re BO’s tax plan that is apparently so popular — ‘tax cuts for 95% of Americans.’

Well, here is what I realized as I listened to this:

      (1) BO is calling a loose collection of one-time tax credits ‘tax cuts’ — apparently because those tax credits are going to be set up as if they have something to do with the tax system. That is, people will have to file tax forms to claim these credits. (Hmmm — could try to catch nonfilers too) Anyway, there is no systematic ‘cut’ — instead, the ‘tax cuts’ are a hodge podge of one-time credits. Some of these credits will be for buying hybrid cars, some for child care, some for who knows what, maybe like home insulation, college tuition, whatever.

      (2) The WSJ guy didn’t say this, but in fact it is true that unless these so-called ‘tax cuts’ (which are really just tax credits) are made 100% refundable (and very few are, just like child credits for low-income taxpayers), those who have no income tax liability to begin with will not receive even one penny of the s0-called ‘tax cut’ (really a credit against taxes otherwise payable) unless they actually have enough income to have enough tax liability that will use up the tax credit.

      (3) Some 40% of people in the US have incomes that are so low that they actually have _no_ tax liability at all anyway — so unless the type of tax credit they might happen to apply for is fully refundable (i.e., check in the mail ‘here’s your ‘tax credit”), they can file an application with the IRS for it, but they won’t be able to make any financial use of it because they have no tax liability against which to apply it — spelling it out, THEY WILL GET NO MONEY — NOTHING.

      (4) There is no reliable way to guesstimate how many people in the US will actually qualify for and know to apply for and will actually be able to use these so-called ‘tax cuts’ (which I just explained, are really just credits against tax liability). So the 95% figure is total hogwash, a lie, misleading, call it what you will. But at best it can only reach 55% of the people BO claims it can reach, because if you take the 40% who won’t be able to do anything with their tax credits (frame them maybe? use for kindling?) out of the 95% he is claiming, you are left with 95-40= 55% — at least 55% can’t use a tax cut at all.

      (5) Plus, don’t forget, sometimes people have just a little bit on tax liability — so those folks will not be able to use their whole tax credit (if they actually do qualify for one, and I think its all just hoodwinking myself), so they will just get a small part of the tax cut they theoretically can get. You can’t spend theory, so that’s another big % who won’t really get much of anything, although they will get at least a few dollars.

      (6) Plus, the rate increases I saw on the screen for dividend income (BO will raise from 15% to 20%) and capital gains (can’t remember, but it was at least 5%, probably more), and one other item all clearly apply to anyone living on a combination of low income plus some investment income including capital gains or dividends — duh — most seniors. So even though an awful lot of seniors are just on the cusp of having no tax liability, those who have some investment incomes are going to get hit with a tax increase even if they are in that under-$50,000 range that BO claims is tax exempt.

Bottom line: Matthew — if you want to try to spell this stuff out in a way that can be readily understood, maybe you can get Pat to make a cartoon out of it — and in the meantime, go over to the Brookings Institution webpage and check out their frequent updates on the + and – of each candidate’s tax promises.

This stuff does need to be translated, because I think that if people understood how this really is just a hoodwink, they may be less inclined (those undecideds, anyway) to just hold their noses and vote for BO because they are so mad at the Repub brand.

Really, BO’s so-called tax cuts are actually just as much hot air as the rest of BO’s resume, policies, and suffers from the same lack of directness and honesty as the Ayers etc. issues reveal.

The WSJ guy seemed to think that McCain actually has several policies (not just the mortgage resuscitation thing) that are to the left of BO — including his tax policies — and would be of interest to voters if they could access the concepts. Maybe reading the Brookings stuff will inspire you to write something about this.

McCain needs to get tougher if he’s going to win this. I’ll still vote for him to vote against Obama but I’m not too impressed. Why doesn’t he get that Obama doesn’t play by the rules and so he can’t either. Sarah is much stronger.

By the way I was watching a repeat of Chris Wallace for as along as I could stand. Anyway David Alexelrove was on and I was reminded of how much he reminds me of Adolf Hitler. I even googled Hitler for a photo so I could compare while I watched. Just another reason why I feel like we’ve fallen down the rabbit hole like Alice did.

Hannity has Ed Bechtel on who I detest (such a loud obnoxious person). I’m having a hard time watching because of this. They’re talking about the economy now and Obama’s tax increases. Good they’re done.

Interview with McCain and Palin coming up.

Having recently embraced my inner Conservative I’ve become a fan of Huckabee’s new show on Fox Sunday nights right before Hannity. His “Little Rockers” bank is cute (made up of Fox News staff and himself playing the electric guitar).

    • wodiej

I caught that show last week and enjoyed it as well.

MochaLatteBreve – I had those shows on, too, while doing some housework, re-arranging furniture. That made jerks like Bob Bechtel a lot easy to stomach. Split focus makes it go faster somehow.

Bechtel was the jerk who said before the last primaries in June (in response to the report on this blog) that the RNC shouldn’t show the “Whitey” video, because, “then Hillary would win”. How about it!

I also liked Mike Huckabee’s house band! He had the two quest ministers, with opposing endorsements of candidate, join the chorus for “Mustang Sally” – not bad, right? He really does like to bring people together in harmony. I’d love to join the group sometime (sing and play a bit myself).

  • wodiej

that’s it, the Democrats have been in control of Congress and not done shit. I was doing fine up until 2 years ago.

These people on Hannity don’t get it…businesses don’t pay taxes, we do!! They just raise their prices on what they sell. Geraldine Ferraro just dodged the question and said we need to concentrate on how to fix the economy. well guess what Gerry, it ain’t by raising business tax even more. Cripes, we already have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world! For God’s sake, what is it that some people don’t get??

    • NoBamaNoWay

historically, i don’t think corporate tax rates are that high, plus by the time the lawyers get done taking advantage of all the loopholes, half the time the government ends up paying THEM. i remember in the early 90s all the republicans were saying clinton’s increased tax rates on corporations and the rich were going to sink the economy. that didn’t happen, obviously. also, corporate profits have continued to rise while worker wages remain stagnant, so if anybody’s hurting, i’d say it’s the workers, not corporations.

  • wodiej

Numbers are showing close race in Ohio between McCain and Obama…that means McCain is winning. :)

    BREAKING!!
    BREAKING!!

Iran’s Vice President Sets Two Preconditions for Talks with US

TEHRAN (FNA)- Vice President for Media Affairs Mehdi Kalhor said on Saturday that Iran has set two preconditions for holding talks with the United States of America.

In an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency, he said as long as U.S. forces have not left the Middle East region and continues its support for the Zionist regime, talks between Iran and U.S. is off the agenda.

It is the Americans who are in dire need of reestablishing ties with Iran, he underlined.

Iran is not obliged to reestablish ties with the U.S., he said.

“If they take our advice, grounds for such talks would be well prepared,” he said.

It is stupidity to hold talks without any change in U.S. attitude, he underlined.

WONDERFUL! Clearly now that Iran is aware that Obubblebrains is not going to demand any preconditiions just preperations for kneeling before the mighty islamic state, they have decided to demand their own preconditions.

Now we all know They aren’t talking about BUSH, or McCain, they are talking to the next President of the Not So Mighty United States of America who NEEDS them!

So Iran, is ready to talk if

    1) the United states of Barack Omerica Denounces Isreal and declares an end to spport for those horrible people who make those poor suicide freedom fighters blow themselves up in righteous protest,

    and

    2) The United States of Omerica pulls its Army Navy and Airforce terrorists out of the Middle east

Then Iran will consider allowing the week former superpower to come into their presence for talks…but there is no guarantee because the great and mighty Islamic state is not obligated to talk with them.

Listen, you ignorant Left wing idiots who think the politics of diplomacy is to meet wackos as equals.

THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR TREE HUGGING BELIEFS!

    I come from Iran.

The current Regime will be all to happy to put a bullet in the back of each of your stupid mush filled peace loving heads as soon as they whipe out the jews. You think they like code pink? You idiot tools were used for propoganda purposes in your meeting. You helped make your country look like a weak bunch of dirty ignorant easily used infidels ready to lay their necks on the swords of islamic extremist justice.

Lesbians are executed in Iran, as are gays, and blacks are not even considered on the same social rung as the rest of society.

Women’s Rights? DOn’t make me laugh…go wrap a bedsheet around your self all day and remember if you expose your hair in public a man on the street who you dont know is well within his right to take his shoe off and beat you mercilessly to teach you a lesson.

    Thats how extremists think.

You show them weakness they take advantage of every inch of it.

Barack Obama, you naive moron, this is what you are facing and your idiotic declarations of “I will Meet with THem without Preconditions” may very well have given them the comfort to believe as they are clearly demonstrating that they can escalated their activities to gain Nuclear Weapons without fear of any effective interruption from the fangless western ex-superpower.

You Are a f*cking idiot Barack Obama.

Not ready to Lead Not Ready to Negotiate without Preconditions.

    Not Ready Period!

  • MochaLatteBreve

Huckabee had Chuck Norris on his show and they were talking about the FAIR tax. That seems like a good idea for us taxpayers to consider. They also talked about the talk going around that some expert has noticed a consistent pattern hitting the markets during the last 1/2 hour before close. It’s that “is this an economic terrorist attack” rumor going around.

But my paranoia kicked in and I thought what if someone has manufactured this event to help Obama win? I’m a worrier type but this election really has me concerned.

Someone could use this election as a great plot for a book and movie.

    • AnninCA

FAIR tax…isn’t that a retail tax?

      Baloney.

That’s a tax on poor people.

    • Kal

The ‘fair’ tax is not fair. Its hideously regressive, and even catches everyone who is too poor to have any income tax liability.

      • Denise

How about a fair tax plan with a tax exemption for families that make less than $50,000 a year?

Or maybe you don’t pay tax on food or necessary items just on luxury items.

  • Will Smith

Guess that stuff ya talk about will come tomorrow

  • Jason

I’m watching Hannity’s America right now. 3 weeks to go before the election and he’s playing a tame interview with McCain that we’ve all seen before. This stuff is not going to do anything, folks! He needs to be exposing Obama’s past as a socialist and stressing that the socialist mindset is the last thing our economy needs. He needs to be playing the tape of Obama at the ACORN meeting telling them that when he’s elected he’ll let them shape his agenda for America.

Instead he’s playing a boring interview with McCain and Palin, the same tame arguments again and again and again.

    Hannity, what’s going on?

    • LookingForwardTo2012

Isn’t he interviewing Jerome Corsi tomorrow night? Maybe that explains the re-run tonight.

  • MochaLatteBreve

There’s a credit in the FAIR tax so that low income people are exempted. They pointed out that many low income people are already paying taxes indirectly when they’re buying goods because it’s factored in. And many rich people have sheltered their money out of the country so they’re not paying any taxes at all.

McCain has mentioned an interest in looking into this approach in some of the speeches I’ve seen.

    • Kal

The credit does not actually cut it, and its on a household basis, which distorts consumption and family power dynamics.

It is beyond fascistically rightwing and is totally not where US tax policy needs to go. Countries that have adopted it have seen the gap between rich and poor skyrocket, and its already as bad as can be in the US.

      • Arthur Bruce Robertson

Those who would like full and accurate information on the Fair Tax, including complete, comprehensive answers to the erroneous claims that the tax is regressive as well as full debunking of all other negative assessments, should simply go to the web site and spend some time reading for yourselves(fairtax.org). As for the statement that other countries that have tried or are presently using a consumption tax, that can be disregarded because it fails to mention the fact that nations using a consumption tax have only added a consumption tax to existing income taxes. No other nation has ever abandoned taxing income in favor of taxing consumption only, and that is exactly what the Fair Tax does. I would also remind you that no less than 72 US Congressmen are Co-Sponsoring legislation to enact the Fair Tax (HR 25 & SB 25); more than 60 well known and highly respected College Professors and specialists in tax law and Economics have examined the Fair Tax from every angle, comparing it with our present nightmarish code and have whole-heatedly endorsed it as the perfect way to fund our Federal Government, while generating the greatest growth in the economy, job creation and increase in living standards our country has ever seen. You who are fans of Governor Huckabee, and respect his judgment have already heard his strong statements praising the benefits and encouraging support of citizens for the Fair Tax. As to opposition, you heard him say just this week that it is the potential loss of lobby money from corporations seeking tax advantages under the present system that has motivated Congress itself to resist the Fair Tax, and actually for that reason only. They aren’t interested in what’s best for the common taxpayer-citizen, but what’s best for their campaign fund! Well, I say, yell at John McCain loud enough, “America wants the Fair Tax and we Want it Now, and we want YOU, John McCain to be out Champion for it!!”, and if he will listen, mount the white horse, be the real maverick he claims to be, the grass roots movement that is already underway for the enactment of The Fair Tax will mushroom into the greatest landslide victory for him that America has ever seen!

    OPEN THREAD RANT here……:)

    You’re forewarned.

What worries me most about this election is the willngness, after months and months of ranting and raving over Bush’s Lie, to accept Obama’s lies.

    This is what’s bothering me.

    I hated Bush’s lies.

So I then hated Obama’s lies.

    It’s that simple to me.

    Liars are liars.

    Why the disconnect with voters?

    I don’t get it.

    • DeniseVB

      I second annin’s rant :)

    • WildChild

It’s the dichotomy between us and them. When it’s “them” doing it, it horrible because they can’t be trusted. But we it’s “us” doing it, it’s OK because we can be trusted. It’s definitely fringe thinking.

What I like best is that the liberals that started this country realized that power is corrupting so they framed our government not around trust, but around checks and balances. We had to trust the conservatives under bush and look how badly they fucked things up. Now we’re being asked to trust the progressives under Obama. Trusting power isn’t the American way.

      • AnninCA

        I completely agree. Here! Here!

        That is the real deal.

We DON’T need to trust, even the president.

        Confidence in the system, yes.

        But not one guy.

  • EyesOpen

So we are all closet conservatives here. I’ve taken to listening to Rush, he’s wonderfully bombastic as far as Barry is concerned. Anyways, he has made the case for some time that we are going to need to carry McCain over the finish line. McCain will not bring Barry’s head home to the tribe. So, stop listening to the expectations that McCain should do this or that. Palin and the rest of us are going to need to carry the heavy water here. It is what it is, stop getting upset about it. Talk to anyone who will listen about your knowledge of Barry. Sit them down at your computer, take them to this site, get a bottle of wine to keep them reading. When they are done here, take them to Gatewaypundit or therealbarackobama. Don’t wait for the lead, take it yourselves.

    HYMAN: Obama’s Kenya ghosts
    Mark Hyman
    Sunday, October 12, 2008

    COMMENTARY:

About 50 parishioners were locked into the Assemblies of God church before it was set ablaze. They were mostly women and children. Those who tried to flee were hacked to death by machete-wielding members of a mob numbering 2,000.

The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier.

By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.

The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30. Mr. Odinga was a member of Parliament representing an area in western Kenya, heavily populated by the Luo tribe, and the birthplace of Barack Obama’s father.

Mr. Odinga had the backing of Kenya’s Muslim community heading into the election. For months he denied any ties to Muslim leaders, but fell silent when Sheik Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum, appeared on Kenya television displaying a memorandum of understanding signed on Aug. 29, 2007, by Mr. Odinga and the Muslim leader. Mr. Odinga then denied his denials.

The details of the MOU were shocking. In return for Muslim backing, Mr. Odinga promised to impose a number of measures favored by Muslims if he were elected president. Among these were recognition of “Islam as the only true religion,” Islamic leaders would have an “oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions [emphasis in original],” installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction, a ban on Christian preaching, replacement of the police commissioner who “allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists,” adoption of a women’s dress code, and bans on alcohol and pork.

This was not Mr. Odinga’s first brush with notoriety. Like his father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, the main opposition leader in the 1960s and 1970s, Raila Odinga is a Marxist He graduated from East Germany’s Magdeburg University in 1970 on a scholarship provided by the East German government. He named his oldest son after Fidel Castro.

Raila Odinga was implicated in the bloody coup attempt in 1982 against then-President Daniel Arap Moi, a close ally of the United States. Kenya has been one of the most stable democracies in Africa since the 1960s. The ethnic cleansing earlier this year was the worst violence in Kenya since that 1982 coup attempt.

Mr. Odinga spent eight years in prison. At the time, he denied guilt but later detailed he was a coup leader in his 2006 biography. Statue of limitations precluded further prosecution when the biography appeared.

Initially, Mr. Odinga was not the favored opposition candidate to stand in the 2007 election against President Mwai Kibaki, who was seeking his second term. However, he received a tremendous boost when Sen. Barack Obama arrived in Kenya in August 2006 to campaign on his behalf. Mr. Obama denies that supporting Mr. Odinga was the intention of his trip, but his actions and local media reports tell otherwise.

Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama were nearly inseparable throughout Mr. Obama’s six-day stay. The two traveled together throughout Kenya and Mr. Obama spoke on behalf of Mr. Odinga at numerous rallies. In contrast, Mr. Obama had only criticism for Kibaki. He lashed out against the Kenyan government shortly after meeting with the president on Aug. 25. “The [Kenyan] people have to suffer over corruption perpetrated by government officials,” Mr. Obama announced.

“Kenyans are now yearning for change,” he declared. The intent of Mr. Obama’s remarks and actions was transparent to Kenyans – he was firmly behind Mr. Odinga.

Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama had met several times before the 2006 trip. Reports indicate Mr. Odinga visited Mr. Obama during trips to the U.S. in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Mr. Obama sent his foreign policy adviser Mark Lippert to Kenya in early 2006 to coordinate his summer visit. Mr. Obama’s August trip coincided with strategizing by Orange Democratic Movement leaders to defeat Mr. Kibaki in the upcoming elections. Mr. Odinga represented the ODM ticket in the presidential race.

Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama’s father were both from the Luo community, the second-largest tribe in Kenya, but their ties run much deeper. Mr. Odinga told a stunned BBC Radio interviewer the reason why he and Mr. Obama were staying in near daily telephone contact was because they were cousins. In a Jan. 8, 2008, interview, Mr. Odinga said Mr. Obama had called him twice the day before while campaigning in the New Hampshire primary before adding, “Barack Obama’s father is my maternal uncle.”

President Kibaki requested a meeting of all opposition leaders in early January in an effort to quell the violence. All agreed to attend except Mr. Odinga. A month later, Mr. Kibaki offered Mr. Odinga the role of prime minister, the de facto No. 2 in the Kenyan government, in return for an end to the attacks. Mr. Odinga was sworn in on April 17, 2008.

Mr. Obama’s judgment is seriously called into question when he backs an official with troubling ties to Muslim extremists and whose supporters practice ethnic cleansing and genocide. It was Islamic extremists in Kenya who bombed the U.S. Embassy in 1998, killing more than 200 and injuring thousands. None of this has dissuaded Mr. Obama from maintaining disturbing loyalties.

“Kenyans are now yearning for change,” said Obama

Change? His idea of “change” is obviously the change from life to death which comes from being burned alive inside a church.

I wonder what kind of “change” Obama has in store for us then. We’ve already heard him say he’s going to embark on huge public works projects to give poor people jobs. Building what? A Gulag?

    Check this out:

Newsbusters: The New York Times took the unusual step of quickly editing and replacing a hysterical post by hockey blogger Lynn Zinser that covered Sarah Palin’s appearance at the Philadelphia Flyers home opener where she was invited to drop a ceremonial puck. In her original post Zinser exaggerated the boos by the crowd, attacked Flyers owner Ed Snider for inviting Palin to the event and appears to have fabricated the discomfort felt by NHL players Scott Gomez and Mike Richards.

Not on topic but good news anyway, Ct local news channel just reported that Chicago Tribune is more than 12 million dollars in debt and is trying to sell the Cub franchise. I have not heard better news in ages. Maybe there is justice in the world after all. The trib has been controlling news even here since they own the States biggest newspaper.

Can’t wait for the Corsi interview tomorrow night on Hannity! Supposedly the “bombshell” will be revealed about Obama.

Hope that “bombshell” is more promising than the supposed “whitey tape” which apparently will only be released at the exact right moment in time!

Samantha Power is the kind of gal that gives the rest of us women a bad taste in our mouths. She screwed Hillary in the primaries. What goes around comes around, as my grandmother used to always say!

  • Ginger

If we act respectful….we’ll be the only side doing it, so I say let’s get the word out and do what has to be done. Someone has to talk the talk, even if John has to walk a respectful walk. No one was speaking for me. I speak for myself.

  • prince dude

does anyone know about this venezuela and russia working on something together this week if thats true that should be the main talk next week and not the economy if russia is in venezuelan waters that better be in the news!!!

  • Cathy in Ks.

Thanks for the Samantha Power “video”. Just who is the “monster” here?

It’s amazing the people Obama has befriended, supported, or surrounded himself with. It’s also frightening – Odinga, Ayers, Dohrn, Rev. Wright, Rezko, and the list just goes on and on. What were the leaders of the democratic party thinking when they decided to put this candidate over the top?

Anyway, I too hope McCain hits Obama hard in this next debate. But all is not lost. I really have this “gut feeling” that McCain/Palin will win and by a “wide margin” but my husband and I are also going to campaign for them in order to make this “gut feeling” reality.

You don’t think Ferraro was attacked in the same way? It was even worse back then. Gerry has paid her dues, cut her some slack.

Also, remember how she was treated by the Obama campaign during the primary. Can’t believe she is that sold on Obama after being called a racist by them.

I honestly don’t think she is supporting Obama, I believe it’s just part of her role at Fox.

I prefer her as the opposition to some of those rabid dogs you see on CNN.

You know what bothers me about these videos? It’s the dumb horror movie music they always use. It just makes it look like some half baked conspiracy video like the ones the 9/11 nuts put out. If the content is scary enough, we don’t need the stupid music.
