October 22: Kerry Leads in Ohio by 6 Points!

- Democrat John Kerry has a lead as high as 6 percent over President Bush in the key battleground state of Ohio, according to a survey completed Thursday night at Ohio University’s Scripps Survey Research Center.

Among registered voters, Kerry leads 49 percent to Bush’s 43 percent, with 2 percent saying they will support third party candidates and 6 percent undecided. Among likely voters (people who say they are committed to voting next month) Kerry’s lead is 50 percent to 46 percent, with 3 percent undecided and 1 percent going to other candidates.

Ooops. Guess not. Where the heck was ACORN when they needed them?

…………

From my blog, Uppity Woman.

    That’s great perspective.

For McCain, he needs to hammer home Obama’s socialist network and show a little confidence– you have to want this.

I believe this can be won. And I think it has to. Obama is a straight up socialist authoritarian.

I’ve been so angry the past week or so, what with (1) the financial mess and all the ‘finger pointing’ at Republicans (instead of just accepting responsibility all around and assuring that it doesn’t happen again); (2) the constant bombardment of polls declaring the Messiah has already been crowned and (3) personal harassment from other boards who are following the Obama plan to constantly call anyone and everyone a ‘racist’.

I NEED to see a light at the end of the tunnel and prefer that it not be a locomotive! While McCain’s recent change in stump speeches is encouraging, we need more info out there targeting the undecided, before they start to vote early! I’d gladly donate more money for more ads but – since he’s using public financing, McCain’s hands are tied.

So, at least it’s good to see what the polls said in ’04.

(And remember – Obama sponsored that ‘vote fraud’ with his $800,000 donation to one of the ACORN ‘sub’ companies.)

  • Touchet

I don’t think that hammering Obama as a socialist is a winning stragegy. It may appeal to you because you define being a republican as being strongly free-market. Most of the people who are attacted to obama already are doing so because they WANT to see some type of social reform take place. Calling them a communist or socialist is like me calling you a repug or slave handler. Its just an insult to them, and they think you sound crazy.

McCain needs to focus on the reasons Obama is just another politican to not be trusted. Driving Home Obama’s connection to shady people will do one of two things that trying to connect him to socialism will not do……It will stimulate the republican base at the SAME time making those undecided people NOT go vote for Obama.

The people who support Obama at this point have bought the line that Republicans are a no go this election. There is no “winning” them back. Those who don’t know if they trust Obama BUT know they DONT trust Republican need some kind of nudge to make them go back into the mode that government sucks and it doesn’t matter what they do. THAT is the key to winning this election. To mitigate Obama’s increase in voters potential and at the same time increasing republican turnout.

While driving home the socialistic line will increase voter turn out for republicans, it will actually drive people to vote for Obama, whom think that you just want to horde all the money for yourself. Driving home Obama’s shadiness with accomplish both–stay at home voters for democrats and get out and vote voters for republicans.

  • Touchet

Oh forgot, there is actually a thrid thing this will do. By pointing out Obama’s lies and connections (without relating them to socialism), it brings up the old feelings of the primary, when Obama lied A LOT about Hillary and then acted like, “I never said that.” This will increase republican turnout over democratic as well, as you get puma type people voting republican ticket.

Remember, those democrats voting for McCain, they used to be democrats. They believe in some of the “socialistic” things you depise. You need these voters to help McCain get in office.

Forget the Bradley Effect and Focus on Basic Math

Since team Obama is measuring drapes for the Oval Office and tingles are running up and down the political pundits and news anchors legs, let’s let a skunk into their garden party, shall we. The race for the White House is over on November 4th. And, contrary to the main stream media proclamations, the battle ground races are up for grabs. Let’s really look at the polls:

Every poll has a margin of error. During the primary, KO took every opportunity to remind viewers Obama was closer to Hillary when he was behind and further ahead when he was leading. Now, with three weeks to go in the elections, the media has dusted off the Kil Hil playbook; John McCain can’t catch Obama, he’s “erratic”, he thinks he is entitled to the presidency, he’s racist. However, the impartial media is making one gigantic cricket sound on the subject of polling sampling error.

    Rasmussen Reports latest data:

    North Carolina: 48% Obama, 48 McCain, +/- 3
    Ohio: 94% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 3
    Missouri: 50% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 3
    Nevada: 51% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 4
    Virginia: 50% Obama, 47% McCain, +/- 3

    Colorado: 51% Obama, 45% McCain, +/- 3
    Florida: 51% Obama, 46% McCain, +/- 3
    New Mexico: 49% Obama, 44% McCain, +/- 4

Statistically, John McCain could win every state listed above if the election was held today. This possibility excludes the undecided voter for each contest. Over the next 21 days just a positive change in trend for McCain could be enough to send Barack back to the Senate.

Do the math; Obama could lose enough states to fall short of the 270 electoral votes needed to hand Michelle’s new drapes.

The counterrevolution will not be televised. It’s viral.

  • http://www.TheOtherDemocrats.com FloridaEx-Dem

I honestly don’t think it’s about ‘inspiration’ or lack thereof, at this point. Obama’s bad choices, his shady relationships, his lack of experience, his dangerous liaisons – these are all valid fodder for the attack, IMHO.

While it shows a pattern of bad, even no, choices in his life, it’s too late in the game to sit around hoping that the rank’n'file will figure this out on their own. I mean, look at how many believe that we’re all racists? Doesn’t that tell you that with many people you absolutely MUST connect the dots for them?

It is pretty sad, isn’t it Lark? So, about half of the people in this country are so stupid as to elect someone with no experience and a lot of big promises. What are they thinking? No wait. I forget. They’re not thinking.

A side note on the Castro thing: the Cubans didn’t ‘elect’ Castro. He was just the next dictator in line, and was as bad as the previous dictator. Difference was the old dictator (Batista) and his buddies took of ahead of Castro, taking all the cash they could carry with them, leaving nothing for Castro. These Batistas are alive and well and living in Miami – still crooks, but living as US Citizens. It’s all totally bizarro.

He has to show that Obama is just another community organizer making empty promises or making promises that he cannot keep and so struggling people of color will actually be worse off.

He may have to draw a connection to Odinga/Kenya and show how black men who supported Obama’s cousin Odinga violently murdered innocent women and children by burning or hacking them to death. Showing the Corsi-obtained emails would help here.

I have worked in inner cities with poor people of color (Legal Aid).

The one thing that black and hispanic females DO NOT like about men of color is physical violence and/or not providing/protecting. They will turn these guys in to law enforcement who are largely white.

I am really puzzle why nothing sticks to Obama. When I listen to him all I notice is his stacking program upon program and tax cut over tax cut, offering so many different constituencies relief and aid.

Obama’s strategy has been to mock and deride McCain.

I think that McCain should mock and deride Obama for stacking so many programs, and tax cuts by listing them in ascending order using his hands and then sounding like a bell when the stack reaches 1 trillion in debt and then sounding again when it reaches 1 trillion in program costs.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Ayers_in_the_90s.html?showall

Mike Royko on Bill Ayers — this is priceless:

Some [ex-radicals] have even used their prominent family connections – clout they once condemned as evil – to land better jobs than the mopes they hoped to lead to revolution have been able to land.

And one of those who has now become a useful citizen is Bill Ayers, now 45, a parent and an assistant professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. You may have read all about him in a recent issue of the weekly Reader.

I read the piece because I was curious. Back when he was a young radical, I thought he was kind of a jerk. I wanted to see if there was reason to change this opinion. But, no, I still think he’s a jerk.

As the story noted, he was wearing a T-shirt that read: “America is like a melting pot: the people at the bottom get burned and the scum floats to the top.”

That confirms something I’ve always believed about people like Ayers and his fellow well-born, well-bred suburban revolutionaries. Despite all their fine talk about helping the down-trodden, they had nothing but contempt for those at the bottom. They assumed that those who were born poor couldn’t achieve anything without the leadership and teachings of bright people such as Bill Ayers. So it stands to reason, as the T-shirt implies, that those who managed to accomplish something without Ayers’ help must have used sneaky, low-down methods. Thus, they are “scum.”

Ayers still doesn’t understand. A person doesn’t have to have had a father who was head of one of Illinois’ biggest corporations, as Ayers did. There are all sorts of success stories (they’ve become commonplace) of those who started at the bottom and floated to the top – without becoming scummy along the way.

A few things to keep in mind:

    1. Of course, the media is in the tank for Obama
    2. the media controls the polls
    but:
    3. the media are a bunch of whores who ultimately care only about a story
    4. they have much to gain storywise with this being tied again
    5. therefore it will soon be tied again (in the polls)
    6. in fact it is tied now (in reality)

The key with the media is will they try to stonewall the several surprises that are still to come or actually report on them?

Ayers and Rezco and ACORN are stories that are already out, but there is much more to happen on those fronts. The new potential bombs are:

    1. Obama’s lack of a birth certificate and ineligibility per Berg case
    2. other shady stuff in Kenya
    3. a whitey tape
    4. other tapes we don’t even know about
    5. contributions and money laundering

Maybe I have blinders on but I’ve been a politics junky since ’72 and when I think through that, I just don’t believe Obama can close the deal.

That thunk you just heard and felt was ACORN going under the bus:

    Obama Comments on ACORN Controversy

TOLEDO, Ohio — Sen. Barack Obama distanced himself from the voter registration group ACORN but also downplayed the fraud controversy that has embroiled the organization in recent days.

Taking a break from debate preparations, Obama told reporters during a brief press conference this afternoon, “My relationship to ACORN is pretty straightforward. It’s probably 13 years ago when I was still practicing law, I represented ACORN and my partner in that representation was the U.S. Justice Department in having Illinois implement what was called the “motor voter” law, to make sure that people could go to DMVs and driver’s license facilities to get registered. It wasn’t being implemented. That was my relationship, and is my relationship to ACORN.”

I got into a fight a few weeks back with an Obama canvasser and the brain-dead koolaid drinker on the other end kept saying “I’m sorry you were misinformed – please go to our ‘fight the smears’ sight” and to that I started laying out facts. She hung up on me.

  • Touchet

Did they do something with the Fair reporting Act or something a while back. Do you think this has anything to do with the invasion of propaganda in the media lately?

  • 30yrdem-not any more

I sent it to my son to see if that is really what is being said. When I here back I will let you know. I am going to call him now and see what he says.

  • Steve1

So what is your point? If these foolish people want to riot-let them, they will have to face the consequences…Like I said, its Zimbabwe…Robert Mugabe and Kenya. They are trying to make people afraid! Let them riot! They will be held accountable for their actions!

  • MG – PUMA

    I got it.

You make some very noteworthy points, Touchet. The fact that Obama and Ayers who supposedly love POC live in multi-million dollar homes while their constituents live in poverty.

Also, Obama sends his kids to private school. Very elitist for a ‘COMMUNITY ORGANIZER” imo.

    Take care.

i believe that on nov3, it will be announced to the obama campaign that john mccain has won the GE. OBAMA will be shown all the evidence of economic terrorism, voter fraud, illegal campaign donations, etc. he will bow out gracefully as to not cause mass rioting. this is just my opinion, but im not so ignorant to believe, as obama is, our government has not had serveillance on ayres and dorhn. they know this is a hostile take over of our country, government, and our way of life. i believe in this great country and think we will prevail over these slugs of society.

  • Steve1

Robert Mugabe thug tactics and emotions! It will get worse! Soetoro-Obama, “We will bring guns!”

  • cathnealon

    Barry’s Chicago tactics:
There will be blood(riots)if you don’t vote for him.
Maps, maps, maps on mainstream propaganda networks showing him winning
    Polls always favoring him
It worked in the primaries, the same caucus fraud that is evident now in voter registration
But this is not the primaries and the people I know who long ago realized what a crook he is will never back down, bring on the riots, the phony polls whatever. Just like Sarah Palin said, God’s standards are different than the world’s standards.

Ohio ACORN Hiring Canvassers To Help Obama Submitted by Jeff on Thu, 02/21/2008 – 12:22pm.

An announcement from Ohio ACORN political director Mari Engelhardt:

GOTV for Obama! Ohio ACORN is doing a Get Out The Vote project with the OBAMA Campaign. Ohio ACORN is hiring canvassers to go door to door encouraging voters to vote for Barack Obama.

ACORN is hiring in Cleveland (216)431-3905, Columbus (614)425-9491, Cincinnati (513)221-1737, for Dayton (call Cincinnati), and for Toledo call Cleveland. Or email polnatoh@acorn.org and your inquiry will be routed to the appropriate person in each of these cities. Intake and training will be held daily at local ACORN offices. Canvass begins on Wednesday Feb. 27th and will work through election day. Please, only persons wishing to work all or most of these days (Saturday and Sunday included) should inquire.

Please do not contact the Obama campaign directly regarding this post as they are not the organization doing the hiring and it will only distract their staff and volunteers from the other important work they are doing on behalf of Senator Obama.

  • McHope

    You are right,
It is sticking, the media just won’t tell you.

    The Obama-biased polls are close.
People are refusing to be polled and some are lying when they are because of intimidation.

    McCain/Palin are drawing huge crowds.

The only news outlet that doesn’t overtly favor Obama has the largest ratings by far (FOX).

Undecideds consistently broke for Hillary, despite the media calling the race.

The media hasn’t told the truth for this entire campaign, why would we believe them now? The race is not over, and the closer it gets, the louder their liberal shrieks will become.

  • Steve1

OK, I agree-but this rule should also be applied to the crooks on Wall Street, the Congressional members who played a major role in this corruption. Shit, I am so tired of the rotten crooks who are ripping the people off. From the extrenme rich, Congress and the Acorn. They all need to be made examples of! Fuck them!

  • LookingForwardTo2012

Good news…and there were not even millions of people defecting from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party in 2004. Bodes well, I hope.

  • Touchet

I love how people say, this is Not true but they give no rebutal to anything someone says.

Its like whom do you believe, the person who gives you facts or the person who says, “well thats simply not true”.

I mean its like going into court and getting all this evidence that a person is guilty and then the murderer saying, “it simply isn’t true”, and the jury going, aaaah I see okay well then your free to go.

  • Touchet

Obama isn’t going quitely into the night, pun intended. He will cite racism and call on recount after recount. You can be on it.

He is hell bent on being president.

  • 30yrdem-not any more

He is not home now but I spoke to him and he will look at it and let me know as soon as he can.

He said there are a lot of different languages used with the children and it maybe hard to figure it out.

First FISA will monitor even this thread. Then you take a plane to a foreign country. Then before you board you are stopped as asked to follow a few guards to a secluded room where you are asked to explain some of the statements you have made previously, even in this thread. Then you explain them and they tell you is okay for you to return to your country but you have been flagged.

I want to know when will you ever again will feel comfortable saying what you think should be said. That’s only one way. There are other ways.

  • Shiloh

Another in my list of surprises: that McCain may announce that, in the interest of setting aside partisanship and trying to work across the aisle, he will not seek a second term. That could have a significant impact in the final days. Ouch! I can hear the Obamabots screeching over that even now.

  • Hap Hazard

Technically, the Annenberg Foundation is not the same as the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. The CAC was financed by the Annenberg Foundation and others, but was a separate entity with its own board of directors. It was essentially formed for the purpose of distributing grant money it received from the Foundation and other sources.

The Obama campaign is using the similarity in names to blur the distinction, but there is a clear difference. Ayers and Obama ran the CAC on their own, and had the power to distribute money to those cause they deemed worthy, i.e., ones that would radical-ize the schools of Chicago, and so forth.

  • Not That One

    thanks!

  • Shiloh

Yesh, I’ve been asking myself for some time if Kerry couldn’t win how can Obama? Sure Obama is more smooth but Kerry was more centrist and more palatable. And Kerry actually was running against Bush while Obama just pretends he is.

  • Kelley

Nevermind about these vids. Not what I thought they were.

  • Leisa

She is half right… she does not know who the puppet master is though. Her bias keeps her from seeing the whole picture.

  • Jackarooty

That’s great news about Kerry! Kerry all the way!
    Yay! Kerry/Edwards 04!

Soooo, how did that work out for Senator Kerry?

  • lark

I agree with you that during the debate it would be counter productive to dwell too much on the issues of radical connection by Obama. There is not enough time and Obama will have a ready made answer to counter that and he is much more charismatic than McCain.

For me, McCain really needs to mock and deride Obama in his face during the debate. Mock and deride him at every step of the way. He needs a few zingers.

  • http://www.TheOtherDemocrats.com FloridaEx-Dem

Absolutely! This should apply to the borrowers who falsified income or kept borrowing and refinancing for their ‘toys’, when they knew they could never pay the ARM once it escalated, all the way up through the system – the mortgage broker / originator, lending company / bank and it’s execs, secondary market/packaging company and their execs, those who ‘backed’ them such as Fannie, Freddie, etc. and their execs, Wall Streeters who hid the mess and their execs – ALL need to be made examples of.

And you know what? I’m SICK of hearing about all these people who say that to go after the mortgage holders is to blame the victim. Victim? Who put a gun to their head and told them to borrow something they couldn’t afford?

Nope – ALL need to be made examples of in a big, big way. Bailing them out? That’s not the way to do it.

  • Annie Oakley

I understand what you’re trying to convey. Democrats believe in government spending for the greater good: Public schools could be called socialism, but most Dems support it.

What Uppity is pointing out as socialism is perhaps a more correct use of the word. It’s not a synonym for government spending. It’s redirecting the purpose of government to promote one segment at the expense of the others in a way that is not democratic.

The issue for me is corruption. Obama wants to privatize public spending, rerouting the taxes we pay to cronies and political ideologues who have declared social war on us. Our money will be used against us, and Obama’s political machine will use it to consolidate power. He is basically bribing millions to vote for it by promising them a piece of the take.

There will be no checks and balances as it creates its own non-virtuous cycle. With the media and the congress behind him, it is truly frightening what he might achieve.

  • McHope

Is this his second or third answer on this one?
He can say that all he wants, but his campaign paid them $800,00 this year to GOTV, and tried to hide it at that.

  • Liberty Belle not for Obama

Jimmy Carter would be a poll monitor for Obama, I’m afraid, and wouldn’t care about fair and free elections in this country. He drank the Kool-Aid early on. Believe he never forgave Bill for not allowing him to meddle more in foreign affairs in the ’90′s.

  • barry bums a ciggie

School Children Sing Praises of Obama

My son is a linguist and here is what he said.

Okay, I listened to it and it is most definitely NOT what they’re saying. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. This is a song of islam and has no connection to obama in any way. The person who did this is a liar and I’m ashamed to think that a fellow republican could have thought to do this.

  • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

I had a dream last night that Los Angeles was put under martial law and army tanks were rolling in.

This is where I live, by the way.

  • CHRIS

Yeah, Kerry didn’t have the wind in his back like Obama does. And plus, Bush approval rating was not down to his blood-relatives and neighbors.

The momentum is in favor of Obama and the Democrats in general. Just look at the house and senate races. Some republican congressmen in very safe republican districts (like in northern Ohio) are running behind, well behind. Moreover, this late in the campaign, McCain is playing strict defense rather than offense. He is campaigning in NC, VA and Indiana. I don’t ever remember republican presidential candidate holding more than one campaign rally in Indiana. That tells you a lot about this race. I think it’s over unless there is a major foreign policy crisis that moves the spotlight from the economy to F.P. Short of that happening, people are going to vote in massive numbers for the dems.

  • Touchet

right so why even try. Just go ahead and stay home right?

Breaking news: The dems are gonna win, so republicans go ahead and stay home.

Obama is best thing Since wonderbread, look inside for details.

  • Patience

I’m not sure if I think it would be a good idea for
McCain to announce he would only serve one term as president. He would be an automatic lame duck.

  • Liberty Belle not for Obama

My thoughts exactly. How can he not even mention the $800,000 from his campaign to ACORN this year for the get-out-the-vote, AND, who put the $120 million earmark for ACORN in the first proposed Congressional Bail-out bill anyway? Pelosi and Reid? On who’s instructions.

(Just heard on FOX the Obama campaign said it was for an ACORN affiliated group to GOTV for already registered voters. Right… Prove it, damn it, I’d tell ‘em.)

Why won’t the media pick up on this and ask him? Was this any kind of press conference? Do we have a press anymore, or just PR flunkies for Obama?

Obama has gotten away with so much in terms of deceit, looks like he’ll continue as long as he can get away with it. After all, like most Narcissists, the rules don’t apply to him…

  • CHRIS

There is no doubt that the dems are going to win more seats in the house and senate. The question is how many. Some republicans strategists are putting their loss between 20 or 30 seats with the dems holding most of their. In the senate, they are going to pick up up to 5 or 6. It’s all dependence whether Dole and Smith can hold on to their seats. For god’s sake Chambliss went from a victory by 10-15 points to being tied.

There is a ground swell against the republicans and it is undeniable.

  • http://www.madinthemiddle.blogspot.com churl

Exactly correct. Most of the middle is anti-Bush, which does not mean pro laisse-faire capitalism, Most of the moderates see the incredible greed of the far too wealthy as the root cause of most of our social problems– golden parachutes anyone? Again that does equate to pro-McCaain or anti-Obama. What I think we see is that Obama is determined to be one of the billionaires so he can build himself monuments all over the world– The University of Obama, the First Church of Obama, etc. Appeal to social change without the destructiveness of an Obama presidency and now you’ve got the middle moving in your direction. “Change You Can Depend On” — I like it.

  • http://ohmyvalve.blogspot.com/ Shtuey

He also needs to remind Ohio about how Obama lied about NAFTA, and lied about Goolsbie

  • thefirstwonderwoman

It’s more like communist, they want the government to do it as long as government does it their way or how they want it. This country is going to be like China in a little while. They have media and capitalism, but it’s very restrained like the powers in charge want.

  • tish

obama is lying on the radio scaring people in fla saying that mccain is going to cut social security and the others think they are going to get a handout from obama,,
that wont last long when we are in a depression with obama,,,,we wont have food,,let alone a handout..biz will leave,,and ahmainjehad will be right..wonder how he knows and the people in this country dont? fools
biden gets funds for his campaign from iran
kerry was on video supporting the kestopo pig that just got caught firing his mistress and using campaign hush fund, sounds like edwards,, whats up with that? no wonder this country is so corrupt and rude, look at the leaders with no morals and values

  • Anon21

Uh-huh. Now perhaps you can point me to the time where Kerry held a consistent eight-point lead in the national polls over a period of two weeks within a month of the election?

McCain has about a 5% chance of winning at this point. Start getting it through your heads now–Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th President of the United States.

“Recall” “up 14 points” “AIP connections” “Todd’s affair, Sarah’s affair” “Bristol doing blow.” Bring it on, I don’t care if they have all of this, they’d be saints compared to Mechelle and Barry and their treasonous affiliations with ACORN, Ayers, Wright, Farrakhan, etc. Let’s see, anti-American Marxist on the one side and an imperfect but loving family on the other-guess who we pick.

  • Jason

The fact that so many of today’s so-called “liberals” express support for collectivist, anti-individualist tyranny such as socialist, is the reason I feel I cannot, in conversation, call myself a liberal – and choose the term “libertarian” instead.

But in my heart, I know I am a classical liberal, a disciple of the Enlightenment – not of Marx.

Why does “social reform” have to be about plundering the wealth of Peter in order to support Paul? What happened to property rights? They are the cornerstone of civilization after all. Without the right to own, how can you even say your life belongs to you?

To non-leftist liberals (the real ones), “social reform” means a return to self-responsibility, individual freedom and the conditions under which a person who appreciates such things can do what he or she needs to survive without being hassled by the state – just so long as what they’re doing doesn’t involve preventing others from doing the same.

To me and anyone else who understands the philosophical seed from which America grew, “socialism” is a dirty word. It’s an entirely appropriate line of attack to use on Obama. If Obama came out tomorrow and said “yes, I am a socialist and I have a socialist vision for America” then the only votes he’s going to secure are those in Berkeley and other such places where the rich and pretentious babble about the goodness of Marx while conveniently forgetting where their privileged latte-soaked lives come from.

  • Jason

If a president’s job is simply to inspire then hey, let’s elect Richard Freaking Simmons.

  • Newly Independent

The momentum is in favor of Obama and the Democrats in general.

It was with John Kerry too – as most Americans were deeply opposed to the war in 2004. The anti-Bush sentiment (according to the MSM at that time) was strong – as strong as they’re saying it is now. And John Kerry STILL LOST the election.

Obama-positive polls are leading you Obamabrats into a false sense of security.

  • Jason

Who the hell is calling Obama’s supporters “terrorists”? At least let’s have some honesty here.

Also, who’s calling HIM a “terrorist”? Nobody, unless you count a few uneducated idiots at a rally to which anyone is invited.

  • Newly Independent

McCain has about a 5% chance of winning at this point. Start getting it through your heads now–Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th President of the United States.

You’re a walking, talking joke. And deluded.

Obama’s finished. And you Obamabrats know it. Which is why Obama desperately needs ACORN to try to execute his dirty work at the polls.

All of the dead people, dogs and cats ACORN registers won’t make up for the onslaught of McCain voters all over the country ready to hit the polls on November 4th.

So if I were you, I’d go and tell your faux god Obama to stop measuring the White House drapes. He’s not going to need them.

  • Newly Independent

The MSM-generated polls are leading you Obamabrats into a false sense of security……

The MSM has chosen Obama. So of course their polls are going to show Obama winning! Do you really expect them to show Obama losing?

Looking back on the MSM’s coverage of other Presidential races, the tactics have always been the same: show the “liberal” candidate leading in virtually all of the polls in vain attempts to encourage “conservative” voter turnout suppression on Election Day. Make conservatives feel “hopeless” so that they won’t even bother to go vote. The tactic usually fails for the Democrats though.

I didn’t notice the tactics before, because until this year I was a Democrat. Republicans would always complain about the “liberal media” – and I never believed them. Now I see that the MSM has virtually ALWAYS been this way. They wern’t lying after all!

To shorten a long story, if you believe that the polls are telling you the truth about Obama, then you’re in for a seriously rude awakening on November 5th….

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of Planet Triskelion

Ignore the smear troll they will get nuked. And the inevitability and poll trolls will get nuked as well.

  • cookiegramma

Everyone here has valid points, but I doubt that attacking on any of these levels will work. Unfortunately McCain has got to just keep hammering away at the one thing he does not like to do, the economy. He needs to ask where Obama will come up with the money to replace the loss of the huge gross profit taxes he planned to levy on the oil companies. He needs to point out that the higher taxes Obama expected to get from execs working for Lehman Bros, Bear Sterns and other companies will be coming from. McCain needs to show that the tax cuts promised to the 95% of people has got to be paid for from somewhere, and force Obama to answer where. He needs to nail him on the fact that 95 % of americans do not pay taxes, only 60% do. Some of the money being sent out will be a form of welfare. He needs to point out that taxing people on 401′s and other retirement savings accounts dissuades people from saving at all. Let the Republican National committee hit Obama on the unsavory connections. If McCain goes after Obama about Ayers, don’t do it on the terrorist history. Instead hit him where he is not expecting it. Hit him about the failure of any of the educational programs designed by Ayers and financed with Obama’s help to show any progress in student learning. Obama is looking for a dirty attack. It is time to hit him clean and above board. It can work and it will leave all of the crys of racism out in the cold.

You really, really believe this? I’m just wondering what defense mechanism you’ll fall back on on Nov. 5th, when McCain delivers his concession speech. I guess you’ll hold out hope until Inauguration Day, just like many here held out the idea that Hillary could be nominated at the convention somehow, until she wasn’t? What happens after Jan. 20, though? Do you just avoid newspapers and televisions for the next four years, and pretend McCain is the real President?
