“The Chicago Way”

John Kass had a very interesting piece in the Chicago Tribune the other day, “Daley Reins In Radicals — The Chicago Way” about Obama and his associates, written by someone who knows Chicago Politics. Despite Obama’s attempts (successful as far as the MSM is concerned) to portray himself as a “fresh as a daisy” politician, Kass makes it clear that he is a Chicago politician all the way, and has a lot of help in that area. Now, I, personally, am not surprised at Obama’s being a Chicago politician, but he sure seems to have bamboozled enough people so that they won’t even LOOK at his record, or cry, “Right wing smear!” or “racist!” whenever anyone tries to bring it up.

Like McCain, for example:

Turn on the TV news when John McCain is picking up undecided voters by invoking Barack Obama’s relationship with unrepentant American terrorist William Ayers and, invariably, some liberal talking head will sniff in disgust and say Ayers is no big deal where Obama comes from.

Unfortunately, that’s true. Ayers is a terrorist. But this is Chicago.

Obama and Ayers are neighbors and they worked together on school issues with the same foundation. Obama’s political coming-out party was held in Ayers’ living room when Obama was running for his first political office.

And the boss of Chicago is Mayor Richard Daley. Mayor Shortshanks has thrown his protective embrace around both men. These are facts.

Huh – I wonder how much trouble Kass will get into for actually acknowledging in print that Ayers is a terrorist and that he really does have connections with Obama (despite Obama’s continued bamboozling on this issue, the debate last night is a case in point. Um, uh, Obama – you know there are books, and photographs, and videos and all, right? I swear – that man could not tell the truth if his life depended on it!)? Well, apparently, none at all:

But the reason Ayers is not a big deal in Chicago has to do with the Chicago Way, and the left fork of that road that has been bought and paid for by the Daley machine, subsidized by taxpayers who foot the bill for public relations contracts from City Hall.

The new Daley machine is much more sophisticated than his father’s. And the stereotype of knuckle-draggers and wiseguys—they’re still around, and there are jobs on the city payroll for those who work the precincts.

Yet what’s often ignored is that their university-educated cousins get city contracts to spin the news and shape the symbolism and tell out-of-town reporters that Ayers is no big deal. They won’t bite the hand that feeds them. For an examination of the Daley spin machine—and its cost to taxpayers—please see Tribune reporter Dan Mihalopoulos’ story in the Sunday editions.

I see. In other words, it’s all about politics, who you know, and to whom you are connected. Tell me again how it is Obama is getting away with this whole, “I’m not really a politician, certainly not a WASHINGTON insider!” Well, true that, Obama – you are a Chicago insider!

This surprised me. Those of us who have access to, well, facts, all know about Bill Ayers and his long, long friendship/collaboration with Obama. And, those of us who are capable of, well, reading or watching, or hearing, know that Ayers is a domestic terrorist who is not only unrepentant, but wishes he had blown up more places. Charming. Well, here was something I did NOT know:

One friend of Obama and Ayers is former ’60s radical Marilyn Katz, now an Obama fundraiser, strategist and public relations maven. She’s often a go-to quote for reporters to knock down the Ayers-Obama story.

“What Bill Ayers and [former Black Panther, now U.S. Rep.] Bobby Rush . . . did 40 years ago has nothing to do with [the presidential campaign],” Katz was quoted as saying in the Chicago Sun-Times in April. “[Ayers] has a national reputation. He lectures at Harvard [University] and Vassar [College].”

What that story and many other pro-Obama articles gloss over is that during the violent protests of the 1968 Democratic National Convention here, Katz was the security chief for the radical Students for a Democratic Society. She once advocated throwing studded nails in front of police cars, back in the SDS days when the group was alleged to have thrown cellophane bags full of human excrement at cops and cans of urine and golf balls impaled with nails.

How things change.

Great day in the mornin’! Are you KIDDING me? So it isn’t just Ayers who has engaged in domestic terrorism, but one of Obama’s SPOKESPEOPLE? One of his strategists? A “go-to-for-quotes” person? I love how she just dismisses Ayers’ activities as being so last century (for all intents and purposes), especially given his CURRENT regrets that he did not do more (and as he said recently, it still is not outside the realm of possibility. Remember this quote?

“Yeah we did some foolish things. I can’t quite imagine putting a bomb in a building today, but the way things are in the world, I can’t imagine entirely dismissing the possibility either. What if the government is killing a bunch of innocent people and just won’t listen? And knowing now that trying to make a better life can lead to the guillotine, and the gulag, I still can’t imagine a fully human world without utopian dreams.”

Ahem. Yes, Ms. Katz, he so doesn’t believe any of THAT stuff anymore. Lawsy mercy, how do these people live with themselves?!?! Seriously! DO they just overlook the horns sticking out of their heads??

Oh, but just you wait. This is straight from the, “You can’t make this crap up” department:

Under this Daley, her firm, MK Communications, has many city deals, and one involves public relations for the Chicago Police Department’s community policing program. From nails to contracts, the Chicago Way. Apparently, irony was not a ’60s thing.

Now, as Daley prepares to lay off more than 1,000 city workers, he’s given Katz and other public relations firms five-year contracts that could pay them as much as $5 million each for consulting, advertising and promotion.

Getting in good with Daley hasn’t been bad for business. She also lists as her clients Daley’s Chicago Housing Authority, Daley’s City Colleges, Daley’s city Law Department, and Daley’s Departments of Aviation, Environment, Housing, Human Services, Planning and Development, Public Health, Public Works, Streets and Sanitation, Intergovernmental Affairs, Special Events—the list goes on.

Now here’s a lesson for you all: if you are connected to powerful people, it doesn’t matter one whit what kind of anti-American activities in which you have engaged. You will be compensated and compensated well.

Wait a minute – how is it that these people who, extrapolating from all of their ties, have a heavy Socialist bent, are all frikkin’ MILLIONAIRES?? I sure would like an explanation of that. Maybe they believe that all the little people should share the wealth, at their direction, of course, and since they know better than we do, they have to make sure they have a ton of money just in case it all goes terribly wrong so they can escape to some Caribbean island.

Okay, back to the relationship between Ms. Katz and Mayor Daley:

Clearly, if she wasn’t a good soldier for Shortshanks her list of clients would be quite small. Katz is often aggravating, but she’s also funny and smart, so I called her to submit my theory: That by buying off the political left—through PR contracts to Katz, through his own support for Ayers—Daley maintains control over message and symbolism.

“I don’t see it that way,” said Katz. “As kids, our issues were schools, the environment, housing—and these things are the same things that the mayor cares about. So we have this in common. The agendas that drove us pulled us together. It’s about respect for each other’s point of view, not what we did when we were 19.”

On Ayers and Obama, Katz still insists it isn’t a story.

“Bill and I were in different parts of SDS. We disagreed on tactics. Bill has spent his entire life contributing to the betterment of society. That’s all I can say about Bill,” she said.

Of course she doesn’t think there’s anything to see here. Show of hands who is surprised she doesn’t think it’s a story about her and Bill? Anyone? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Well, it seems John Kass is one of the few journalists out there who is not a shill for Obama. Just a moment – I am reveling in that reality…Okay. Here was his response to Ms. Katz:

Happily, I beg to differ. Ayers is a terrorist—the narcissistic son of privilege and clout—whose father, Thomas, was the boss of Commonwealth Edison and a friend of the late Mayor Richard J. Daley. As a leader of the ultra-violent Weather Underground, Ayers admitted to helping bomb the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon in the 1970s. He should have been sent to prison. Instead, Chicago political clout allowed him and his wife, fellow radical Bernardine Dohrn, to magically join the payrolls of universities here.

Obama says he was 8 years old when the bombs went off. But he was a grown man when he sought Ayers’ political blessing, and when they worked on the same education projects.

“They’re friends. So what?” Mayor Daley said in August.

He’s the boss and the master spinner. So it must not be a story. (jskass@tribune.com)

Yippie ki yi yay! There is a journalist out there for a MAJOR paper who has not drunk the Kool Aid! Yahoo!!! Mr. Kass is now my new hero for speaking truth to power; for calling foul on the MSM; for highlighting how Chicago politics really works; and who’s connected to whom. What a shame that the majority of the Fourth Estate has not acted in kind (with a few notable exceptions like Barone and Krauthammer, to name two). Had they, we would not find ourselves in this position now – we would be casting our votes for Hillary Clinton and a REAL Democrat, one of whom we could be proud. Sadly, there are just not enough John Kasses in the world. Would that there were. But – I am happy he is doing what he is doing, exposing even more about the very real politician Barack Obama is. Well done, Mr. Kass!

The issue is not that Bill Ayers was an active terrorist 40 years ago when Obama was 8 yrs old. What is at Issue that Obama would seek out an Unrepentant Terrorist and ally with him to work on Education reform. Obama supported Bill Ayers reforms 100% of the time. Also while serving on the Annenberg Chalenge, Barack Obama directed monies to Schools outside the public education system that clearly had a leftist, black nationalists agenda. It suggests Obama supports this type of education ideology. He also directed monies to ACORN. It appears Obama edcucation policies while working with Bill Ayers were targeted to promote a very narrow exclusive view base on a UN model.

Now Obama made it a point to highlight all those republicaans who also sat on the Board with him. But what Obama failed to understand is that they are not running for the Highest Office in the World. If there were running, they too would be up for scrutiny. HWwnever, he is attack, he spill the beans on everybody around him. What if theses people did not want their names in the public arena. But Obama was quick to use the other members of the Board as political cover. What a coward. John Mccain has to tie Obama to Bill Ayers education reform. Obama only denouce this man when he was forced to do it this year. Thus, up until very recently, one can only assume he endorse such education reforms.

    • Rocky Mountian High

Not to be picky but, Obama is only 47, born in 1961 he keeps saying it was was 40 years ago when he was 8.

He seems to have a habit of exaggerating, like saying his parents fell in love and conceived him at the Selma March, which happened years after he was born.

      • ugo

Not only that, Sen. Obama claimed that his being oversea at age of 10 gave him knowledge of the foreign policy, if so he should have figured out the difference between good and bad.

The whole question is: What is the Character of the man?

It is up to us to send Obama back to the Senate on Nov. 5, 2008.

    • Kato

Not to be picky here, but it was Ayers that chose Obama for the positions. And why would Ayers do that? Why would Ayers launch his political career?

      Because they share politics.

Ayers, in his own words, “didn’t do enough” before. He’s doing it now.

I guess that’s why Obama’s favorite movie is The Godfather.

If memory serves the SDS was pushing for the revolution towards the great socialist state (with them in charge of the state). Some members thought the SDS was to pacifist and thought that violence would speed up La Revelocion, hence the Weathermen. They promoted advancint the revolution at any cost any any means was justified it it advanced the cause. The bigger the bang and the more in your face the better the event. These guys gave me the creeps 40 years ago and still do to this day.

Obama Socialism + The Chicago Machine = the end of America as we know it I fear.

  • Peggy Sue

I was one of those people who read Evelyn Pringle’s reports, from start to finish. I was already beginning to feel a general unease about the Obama campaign and team–what I knew about David Axelrod’s history and the Messianic nature of Obama’s supporters.

But it seems to me that either in Pringle’s articles or in her preface remarks, she gave a nod to several Chicago-based reporters, who have been following the sordid story, the complicated web referred to as “the pay and play scheme,” the Illinois Combine.

The national media refuses to cover the story because if they did, Obama would look as tarnished as he truly is.

And that’s the outrage–when the press stops reporting and is nothing more than a propaganda machine, Axelrod’s echo chamber.

    • NoTrollZone

Yes, Pringle thanked an extensive list of reporters.

      • workingclass artist

I read they were trying to take pringle’s series off the net…censorship is another handy tool of fascism…Barky is a fascist

        • Peggy Sue

Yeah, there’s a big brouhaha going on because apparently Pringle’s series is the # 2 most clicked series at OpEdNews.com and the folks over there are getting antsy about that stark fact. The series hardly makes “The One” appear infallible and/or innocent.

I think the series is available elsewhere on the web at the moment, but I read a statement from Pringle where she stated that she’ll raise holy hell if the OPE dumps the material. She started the series out of curiosity, a writer/reporter’s best friend. What she found left her stunned. And she’s not a McCain supporter, just a reporter, a citizen who decided that allowing the Chicago machine into the White House was clearly unacceptable.

One of the more chilling realities was reading a response from Pringle to an online query: why hadn’t she sent the material to the DNC, the proper authorities? the poster said.

          Her response?

She had sent the material on multiple occasions. She sent it to the DNC and the MSM. They know, she said. The know all of it, all the dirt, all the compromises, but have ignored the facts on the ground and refused to act.

That’s the day, I knew the press and even my party, the Democratic Party, was truly dead. I’d suspected it, but once I read that, I knew for sure.

As far as I know, Pringle hasn’t made a cent for the months of research and effort she spent on these articles. She has no skin in the game, other than to ferret out the facts as she found them: the good, the bad and the ugly.

She deserves a huge “thank you.”

  • Anna Ana Mus

Maybe Bill O’Reilly was onto something when he made reference to McCain coming out like “Elliot Ness.” For those of us old enough we remember the corruption going on in Chicago for years and years. NOW we have Obama in cahoots with the unions who want to take secret balloting off the table. Back to the days of the mob control of the shipping yards, trucking, etc etc. Threats and intimidation to MAKE people vote for a union and then threats and intimidation to MAKE people support and make donations to a particular political candidate.

Ayers is a terrorist— As a leader of the ultra-violent Weather Underground, Ayers admitted to helping bomb the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon in the 1970s.

    - How disturbing is that???

When Americans died on 9/11, most of us sane people were outraged. Fellow Americans dying right before our very eyes and Ayers said he wished he had done more?

This terrorist is a friend of Obama, and the media wonders why we don’t want Obama to become our Commander-in-Chief?

It’s wrong when foreign terrorists try to kill us, and it’s wrong when American terrorists try to kill us. I don’t want my President to be friends with terrorists!!

Is that too much to ask for? It’s amazing how desperate some of these Obama supporters are. They are willing to overlook sooo much, just because they want him to be President. If this was McCain, Palin or Hillary Clinton, they would ask them to drop out of the race.

Another thank you to Jeremiah for this link:

    http://www.zombietime.com/lefts_big_blunder/

    • Get your history straight

It has never been proven that the Weather Underground bombings were responsible for a single death or injury. The bombing of the San Francisco police station in February 1970 that resulted in one fatality has never been conclusively linked to the Weathermen.

All Weather Underground bombings in 1971, 1972, 1973, and 1975 were preceded by warnings to the authorities to avoid human casualties. No one was injured. The attacks resulted only damage to property.

The Weathermen themselves had a number of casualties: Six members of the Weather Underground had been shot by police during the Chicago “Days of Rage” demonstration in 1969; 3 were killed in 1970 when an explosive device they were assembling accidentally detonated in Greenwich Village.

I’m not defending these people. They were political extremists; they did engage in illegal activities; they did perform highly destructive acts that resulted in serious damages to government property. That being said, however, they weren’t terrorists in the modern sense of the word. They weren’t attempting to kill or injure people. Had they desired to do so, they would have done.

A quote below but I recommend reading the entire piece, there are some good photos too.

“Wait just a minute there. If you do the math, on just this one day in the Bay Area, Obama went to four events, three of which had $2,300 minimum donations per ticket, and the other $1,000 minimum per ticket. Each of the events, from the various descriptions, held as many as 400 people (the Getty mansion has a ballroom that reportedly seats at least 300). 400 x $2,300 = $920,000 per event, times three events = $2.76 million, plus the other event, which undoubtedly puts him over $3 million in contributions for this one day alone. And who knows how many other similar days he schedules in other parts of the country.

Michelle Obama (and other Obama campaign spokespeople) aren’t telling the truth. It seems that a signficant portion of Obama’s monthly campaign contributions are coming from “large donors”‘ — i.e. rich people, not just the “$20 to $50″ donations they’re constantly bragging about. “

Inteesting Barack Obama quote from “Chicago Reporter” 1990. We create our own version of reality.

“It’s common knowledge that a lot of lawyers are unhappy with their profession,” said Barack Obama, a summer associate at Hopkins & Sutter and the first black to head the Harvard Law Review. “The difficulties end up, inevitably, being magnified for young minorities, either because they don’t have support networks or because their abilities may be questioned due to racism. They feel under the gun.”

Interesting. In my Bay Area city I’ve been noticing that though the place is littered with every other kind of sign there are no McCain or Obama street or lawn signs. This is unusual. I went to Berkeley today and made a point of noticing bumper stickers and signs. The bumper stickers were scarce and only slightly more for Obama although there were 4 McCains (in BERKELEY!) and only 2 Obama signs in the old money area. No McCain signs and predominently no signs at all in all of that campus housing area.

In a NPR report this evening (All THings COnsidered) I heard just the end in which a Chicago person talked about how, in general, you need to “go along” to make it in Chicago politics, and he thought Obama had definitely “gone along”. He also said he’d vote for him but that he did not regard Obama highly because of how embedded Obama was in the Chicago system of “going along.”

As delegates for Hillary it is with great pleasure that my wife and I cast our absentee ballots today for Straight Republican ticket
We say NO to thugs and Marxists that wish defeat for America..

I plan on voting early this year too. It will be with much disappointment that I will also being voting straight Republican. I’ve been a life long Democrat, but find myself fearing this party now. They’re not the same Democrats that I knew.

  • EMJ

If you can hold off on voting, please do — on the off chance that Obama (with Berg lawsuit, etc.) implodes in next few days and Hillary becomes the nominee!!! (I know, a long shot, but ya gotta have a dream!!)

    • Andrea

You said it! Oh to have Hillary on the ticket! WE would be up by at least 15 points by now. The DNC screwed themselves by ramrodding Obama down the delegates throats and strong-arming them to vote for him at the convention.

If Obama wins, these Chicago scumbags will have jobs in the White House.

Obama moved there as a young adult and was shaped by the environment. Obama sees the Chicago Way as normal.

  • clockworks9

I don’t like Obama but I was shocked and utterly dismayed that he minimized Joe the plumber today at his rally. Total elitism, minimize and make fun of any person who doesn’t sip wine (no offense to you decent wine drinkers) and sing the praises of the great one. When did it become laughable for an average working man or woman to have hope that one day he or she might work hard enough to be successful and able to provide a nice life for their family.

    • AF catfish

I saw the quote of Joe Biden making fun of plumbers (saying they don’t make a lot of money, which is really condescending even if they don’t make a lot of money) which is so clueless because owning a plumbing business means you could easily make $250,000 per year.

Did Obama do it too? I guess you have to be like Michelle Obama and sit on the board of a Chicago Hospital to make $350,000. But running a plumbing business means you’re a lowly working man who “needs help”. Give me a friggen break.

      • Andrew

Now he has his job in jeopardy because the bots found some loophole. Really disgusting. Question Obama, get your life destroyed.

    • Seattle Moss

Who cares what Joe makes. He has a life like the rest of us. I see Joe everywhere in the people I deal with.

Yes, they’ve even dug into his divorce records.

Who is Joe the Plumber? He’s us everyday Americans. But it’s okay to dig into and publicize his divorce records for Obama’s gain.

Shameful. Scary. No rights to privacy that come above Obama’s right to be president.

            • Kato

I’ve seen plenty of cheaters win. That’s the upside of being a cheater. The downside is that they do eventually get caught…we might not see it, but they get caught. The further downside is that a lot of people get hurt by cheaters.

I don’t remember who told me this, but “you can’t do anything against or to protect yourself from real deceipt.” People that hang their hats on lying win for awhile and most people find themselves defenseless against them. After you find yourself a victim of these lies, then you become hardened and angry.

America is about to become hardened and angry if this Obama chap wins. This guy can look at the camera with a straight face and say his political career wasn’t launched in Ayer’s living room (just one example amongst his many lies). He lies with ease and grace. That is something that anyone with half a brain should afraid of. His followers shouldn’t trust a thing he says along with the rest of us.

I fear he won’t be caught in his lies until it’s too late.

Obama has been digging into divorce records – even sealed ones, since he started running for the Senate. He – or someone supporting him – (because he’d never be caught with his very own hands getting dirty) went digging through Blair Hull’s divorce records. Blair Hull was Obama’s main opposition for the Democratic nominee for US Senate. So before the primary actually occurred, Hull’s divorce files were exposed to completely discredit and destroy Hull. Then, just before the Illinois 2004 Senate election, his Republican opponent, J Ryan, had his divorce records opened to the world. Ryan’s divorce information was on the front page of all the Chicago (and Illinois) papers. This destroyed the candidacy of Ryan. In the end, Alan Keyes, perennial loser, agreed to run as the Republican nominee in the US Senate campaign.

It’s too bad Joe the Plumber didn’t know that Obama uses the most hurtful and private information against people. (I bet thats a r@cist thing to say.)

    ELECTION 2008
Another Weatherman terrorist a player in Obama campaign

JERUSALEM – One of the main founders of the Weathermen terrorist organization is a signatory to an independent organization acting to ensure the election of Sen. Barack Obama, WND has learned.

The group in question, Progressives for Obama, also includes among its ranks many former members of the 1960s radical organization Students for a Democratic Society, from which the Weathermen splintered, as well as current and former members of other radical organizations, such as the Communist Party USA and the Black Radical Congress.
In its creed, first published in March in the Nation magazine, the Progressives for Obama founders state their organization descended from the “proud tradition of independent social movements that have made America a more just and democratic country.”
Progressives for Obama stated it can help the Illinois senator’s ascent to highest office by contributing funds, using the Internet to reach “millions of swing voters;” defending Obama against negative attacks and making its agenda known at the Democratic National Convention.
“Progressives can make a difference in close primary races like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon and Puerto Rico, and in the November general election,” the founders state.
Among the signatories and endorsers to Progressives for Obama is Mark Rudd, one of the main founders of the Weathermen terrorist organization. Rudd worked closely for years with Weathermen terrorist William Ayers, whose association with Obama has generated controversy for the presidential candidate.
Rudd originally was a top member of the Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, leading the famed 1968 Columbia University strikes in which hundreds of students seized several university buildings. He also served as spokesman for the strikes, attracting international media attention.

So that’s where the OLD sexist pigs have gone!

Their vile treatment of women in their organizations lives on. NO self respecting women joined these organizations SDS — instead this is when the feminist movement of the last half of the last century began.

I noticed in last night’s debate that Obama/Soetoro droned on about abortion — trying to use the passe abortion issue.

That rattling of the bones to scare women doesn’t work any longer. The economy and other issues are more important to many of us.

  • IndieDogg

    Terrific piece.

And highlights a small trap this discussion often encounters, the whole 8-years-old when Ayers/Dhorn were planting bombs line. Which we then follow up with, “Yeah, but he’s not sorry.”

    Wrong question and wrong answer.

The “he’s not sorry” analysis leads us right back to the past tense, because we’re still talking about planting bombs, which actually “happened” back then, as they claim. [BTW, Bernadette Dhorn, I still contend, is the more dangerous of the Ayers/Dhorn duet, if you can say one viper is more dangerous than another, but nobody talks about Bernadette, just as they seldom talk about Michelle, in my view the more radical of the Obamas (though, again, see above viper qualification).]

“He’s not sorry” is a valid point, yes, but by making it, we’re buying into the presumption that the discussion is about Bill Ayers’ past.

    Here’s the point.

Bill Ayers never stopped planting bombs.

He only adopted a new form of explosive device. His mission in life, for years, has been to plant seeds of revolution, class warfare, socialism, overthrow of the systems of society, or “all of the above” in the minds of young people through his “education” experiments.

Call them Brain Bombs. But, he’s still planting them.

Explosive devices set into the impressionable young mind, timed to explode later and, I suppose, usher in the New American Collective formerly known as the United States of America (I suppose to be lumped together in history with the Former Soviet Union).

    At least that’s the plan.

Of course, the Weathermen (and women), despite their daring and ruthlessness (planting bombs is, technically, an act of cowardice, scurrying away from the scene of the carnage to come so as not to have to actually engage the enemy, but that’s another topic for another time), they weren’t that good at making bombs. They blew a number of themselves up in the process and the capitol is still standing, last I looked.

And, as the Chicago Annenberg Challenge proved, they aren’t very good at planting Brain Bombs in the young, either. One reason might be that revolution for the sake of revolution isn’t particularly logical. Tearing down everything that carries the stamp and “stink” of “government” when governments are, by definition, a creation of humans (that’s us, yeah), doesn’t make all that much sense. I really don’t have much motivation to march on the Department of Water & Power.

Nobody said Ayers was any good at what he’s spent his life doing, along with his ragtag army of fools, but that hasn’t stopped him from trying. As he continues to try today. In education and in politics.

Check out the web site of the Industrial Area Foundation, Alinsky’s brain bomb child. The methods are discussed there. Getting in your face is only one. The point here? The IAF, speaking Alinsky-ese, avows that it is “proudly, publicly, and persistently political.”

Another kind of bomb, for the modern age. Molotov is “Old School” these days. Today, Ayers and his still-hopeful revolutionaries are planting (or trying to) Education Bombs and, case of current interest, “Politics Bombs.” Using the system itself to “re-knit” the damaged social fabric (using their pattern, of course, for the re-knitting).

    The grandest example?

The confectionery concoction known as “Obama” — the Revolutionary Lite version of Saul Alinsky and the Alinsky true believers. But no less dangerous than the espresso version.

Have you seen how that man looks when he’s contradicted or called out? He might walk like a Soy Latte Extra Foam, but at his core, he no doubt thinks himself the match of any hard-core Wright/Ayers/Farrakhan warrior of the past or present.

But, this is not about Obama, though it is.

It’s about the assumption we have made that William Ayers’ “active” phase of terrorism is in the past.

Look at Annenberg. Look at the recipients of the $110 Million he and Barack Obama handed out to Ayers’ educational “causes” that were not only totally useless as educational tools but direct efforts to “re-educate” kids according to Ayers’ own vision.

Read his books. Listen to what he says. Read Alinsky and see what he says about Power, Money and Politics being (what I call) the modern weapons of the revolution.

And, listen to Barack Obama. And to Jeremiah Wright (his mentor who’s been sent to the “time out” circle until after the election). Pfleger, Farrakhan and others.

Not to discount what Ayers and Dhorn (and others) did in the past. But, even if none of that had happened, Barack Obama’s long association and history of working with these Chicago leftist radicals and unrepentant revolutionaries would be more than enough for me to wonder, not whether or not he should be elected President, but how he ever managed to be nominated in the first place by a major political party in America.

The bombs these chai tea radicals plant today might look different, but they have no less disruptive or dangerous a purpose.

William Ayers, despite his teacher’s cardigan with the suede patches (my image only, if you’ll allow me, reminds me of Mr. Holland’s Opus), has only refined his bombs, and replaced the TNT with Ideology and Education Reform and Political Infiltration and “Community Organizing” and “spreading the wealth around” as his pal put it last night.

This is not about the past. It’s about today.

And, its about what Barack Obama wants to do, to you, tomorrow, if we let him.

To borrow a slogan, “Power to the People.”

    That’s us.

    Stand up!

I regularly post on a rather left-leaning site, trying to expose bloggers to information generally unavailable from the MSM (Certification of Live Birth v. Birth Certificate; CAC; A.C.O.R.N.; etc.). I make sure to provide valid links for the facts and, generally, I avoid any personal opinions. Still, as you know, merely inviting scrutiny of the facts, when it comes to BO, incurs the wrath of his disciples. I never respond in kind. Instead, I encourage people to conduct their own research. Sometimes, they do; and arrive at faulty conclusions. I laud them for the effort, and then correct their misconceptions. Lately, I noticed a perceptible change in attitude. That is, while some of my detractors continued to post their rants, several other posters began coming to my defense. And then, the other day, there was this. (Reprinted in its entirety, typos and all.)

This is not my style to post stuff like this but this is an individual that has tried to weed through the spin of both sides and all it would take would be some straight answers to put a lot of peoples fears to rest. Let’s see how many just blow this off as Republican fear-mongering and how many actually have answers.

This election has me very worried. So many things to
consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking ‘where did the money come from for Obama’. I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.

I started looking into Obama’s life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in
California . He is very open about his two years at
Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. ‘Barry’ (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan . During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a ’round the world’ trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in Karachi , Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate’s family, then off to Africa to visit his father’s family. My question – Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York . It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia ? It’s not cheap to say the least! Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicag? Why not New York ? He was already living in New York .

By ‘chance’ he met Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria , and a real estate developer in Chicago . Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named ‘Entrepreneur of the Decade’ by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association’. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School . Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School ? Where did he get the money for Law School ? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago . Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented ‘Rezar’ which is Rezko’s firm. Rezko was one of Obama’s first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago . In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with ‘seed money’ for his U.S. Senate race.

In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwood District
of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price).
With ALL those Student Loans – Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko’s wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama’s new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie
Jarrett, was Michele Obama’s boss. She is now
Obama’s chief advisor and he does not make any major
decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz , Iran ! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley, advisor to Obama, was ‘sacked’ after the press found out he was having regular contacts with ‘Hamas’, which
controls Gaza and is connected with Iran . This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama’s visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will ‘Take care of things’.

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that
where born in Pakistan ? They are in charge of all those ‘small’ Internet campaign contributions for Obama.
Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle
class in this country? Or could it be from the MiddleEast ?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The
Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on
‘This Week’ with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on
talking about his religion said, ‘My Muslim faith’.
When questioned, ‘he made a mistake’.

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it – Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times – Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times – September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

If there are straight answers to these concerns without the normal spin it would help a lot of people who aren’t led around by the political ring in their nose. We can never do anything about them.

So, in case you think that by blogging you are not making a difference, think again. And keep typing.

I think going after Joe the Plumber is a huge mistake because whether he has his paperwork in order or not, whether he’s thinking “pie in the sky” with a possible $250,000 draw on that small business he yearns for, Joe the Plumber represents the working man, the guy who puts in those 10-12 hours a day, may have a second job on the weekend to make ends meet but still has aspirations of something better for himself, for his family.

Call it the American Dream, taking that next step up and/or providing a better ride for your kids.

And Obama and the Obamatrons laugh? They take him to task, attempt a character assasination [deja vu HRC and Sarah Palin, John McCain, too, belittling his military record] and expect the average, middle class, working man and woman to buy this distortion?

Keep it up. The clock is running. And if your idea of running it out is besmirching a working class guy, knock yourself out. This and Murtha’s comments about the people of W. Pa being generally “racist,” will cost Obama votes. I hope it’s a lot of votes. And the basic distraction is not working. It was Obama’s gaffe when he said the following:

    “Spread the wealth.”

That might make university students, media people and academic legs tingle. But it does not fly in middle America.

I had missed this earlier. Erickson at Red State has researched newspaper articles from the time around Ayers’ hosting of the political fundraiser for Obama. Ayers had been mentioned in the Chicago press during that time in a negative way. For example:

And if, somehow, you want to give Obama the benefit of the doubt that in 1996 he was too busy raising money to pay attention to who his boss was, how about August 3, 1997, and this Chicago Tribune story:

When you’re talking to Bill Ayers, it is hard to believe the soft-spoken, bespectacled education professor is the same guy the FBI was chasing for 11 years as a dangerous radical.

Nor is it easy to believe his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, also was a member of the Weather Underground back in the ’60s. They married while underground and resurfaced during the 1980s. Now he is an adviser to Mayor Richard M. Daley’s nationally acclaimed education reform effort and she heads a family and children’s justice program at Northwestern University Law School

  • JSiobhan

I remember early in the primary season Obama touted his abilities as leaders as someone who represented a new generation. He would be a leader who was not from the Baby Boomers who was fighting the same fights (swipe at Clinton) from the 60′s which created the polarization in politics. It is ironic that Obama’s age represents the beginning of the Gen Xers but he is the one who befriended several radicals of the 60s who views are so far left there is no room for compromise from the right. It is hard to unite when you are not close to the center.

  • Zeke

    Here’s my take on him:
Obama was a lonely, language challenged little boy with no friends who was ostracized by his age peers, and plainly just too “different” wherever he went. His only comfort was sitting with the grownups who wouldn’t pick on him or beat him up.
While he sat there with them, he absorbed the mental disease which is communism. He listened to them speak in glorifying hypotheticals and heard them postulate on end what a wonderful world it would be if we all shared equally. Never understanding that the basic flaw in communism/socialism is that people are selfish and will screw each other to get ahead, Obama learned to do just exactly those things to get what he wanted.
He’s in an “in between” generation who is just old enough for those ridiculous gen-x’ers to think he has wisdom and just old enough for stupid old daisy-brained Boomers to think he’s better than the Republicans.
He thinks that the country is ripe for his version of “change” due to the fact that everyone’s various inane guilts have made them think they can vote for this scum to assuage their guilt.
    He is wrong.
What his lies and accusations have really done is awakened the silent ones.
He will only come to know that his house of “card carrying” dreams has crashed after the election. Then, however, when he is no longer daily re-coated in MSM teflon, will he face reality.
It’ll come with a RICO charge.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27221645/

please e-mail msnbc and tell them politely how you feel about digging into a private citizens past to “kill the messenger” will not be tolerated. i am going to list several e-mail address the next few days and i am organizing a “call the advertisers of msnbc about boycotting their products”

So you left construction work to take this minimum wage job astroturfing?

  • Thinker

It’s amazing how people can dig up all this information on a voter that doesn’t support Barack Obama/Barry Soetoro, but we can’t even get access to Barry’s medical records, his academic records, birth certificate, etc.

John “the twitchy old man” ??

very typical of the Obama campaign.

    Old vs Young,

    Black vs White

    “Bitter bible folks” vs Intellectuals

His campaign is the most divisive campaign I have ever seen.

  • destardi

He doesn’t NEED a license…that’s the law. His employer maintains the license.

Geez, you have low reading comprehension.

Second, he wants to improve his life by BUYING a plumbing business..at which point he very well could exceed 250 g’s a year.

Where the hell did you learn to read?

And yea, the other poster has it right…young vs. old, women against men, black vs. white

    Divisive much?

    Disgusting fucking racebaiters.

  • Kato

Sadly, you’ve never been successful in what you do if you’ve never seen a plumbing company make $250k. I know that’s not what Joe might make right now, but the company he wants to buy or start might. Sadly again, if Obama’s elected, he’ll never get the chance.

  • destardi

    That’s blatant lie.

The reagan guy uhbama referred to gave money to a group that THEN dispersed the money to the questionable recipient…

You need to do better research than just swallow talking points whole.

  • Disgusted

I live in Chicago and I would support that ammendment.

  • Thinker

I never said that Obama is a super “evil terrorist genius.”

See, you don’t listen! That’s not what I said!

This notion that I said that….is somehow, ….that’s part of the same old bot strategy….and it’s not going to work, lol

But seriously, what I said was that Obama is friends with a terrorist, and that is a problem.

  • http://mmb silverfox

donovan f………the cia, nca, dept of justice, etc, etc,… are the ones protecting obama. the controllers of these agencies are the same folks who put bush II into office. twice! they are just switching over to a “democrat” now. it’s all the same to them. manipulating the sheep is so easy for them. just look at you.

    get it?

  • NoBamaNoWay

uhh, they said nothing while BushCo lied us into war. in fact, they led the cheers.

  • Andrew

Its so disgusting. Obots are ruthless. Speak against O, have your livelihood threatened and your personal information spewed across the internet. I saw on one blog that they had Joe’s address and phone number posted! Yes, and I told them to take it off but they refused.

  • Disgusted

    Jackson is anti-semite. Hymie town?

  • http://Dinocrat gardenvariety

That’s the saddest part of this whole campaign. Whether Obama is going to win or lose, his campaign helped throw race relations and gender equality issues thirty years back.

  • Karma

Psst…That is point…the ONLY thing they did to ‘stop the war’ is plant bombs. So when he says he didn’t do enough…it means plant more bombs!

The group sex in a moving van was done to bust the square society programming out of their heads. The same reason the Manson Family had group sex by the way.

They also had all night talking sessions to bust that square thinking out of their heads all in an attempt to plant more bombs. Which is the same thing Manson did…all night talking sessions. Both of which were done so they would be mind f***ed enough…to plant more bombs. Or kill people which was the goal with the Manson family.

Try the revisionist history with people who don’t remember those clowns. That bs won’t fly here!

  • Karma

poorly written…but you get the idea

  • Karma

You need to check your stats against reality not Obama’s version.

  • NoTrollZone

Yup. I grew up outside Chicago. I’d support the ammendment as well.

  • Ann Arbor for Palin

I support that amendment as well but would like to add Detroit in it.

  • Northwest rain

Wait this this O-bot starts screaming and throwing “her” temper tantrum. How dare we say anything negative about her messiah.
