I pray you have hit the nail on the head with this prediction. I have voted in every primary and general since I was 19. That was the Nixon vs McGovern election and that was the only vote(POTUS) that I wrote in Donald Duck. Really did not like either person. Was serious for the rest of the ballot. So it has been challenging to me that others do not share the same serious commitment to exercising a civic duty.
However, has anyone seen some of the “man on the street” interviews where young people don’t know how many states there are and they think Roe vs Wade is a civil rights decision? Don’t our school teach civics or whatever they are calling the subject of government these days anymore?

Today at work I asked someone I thought would be receptive to my opinions who she’s going to vote for. She said she’s been going back and forth between Obama and McCain and doesn’t seem to be able to make up her mind. Here in Florida Obama is always “in our face” with constant commercials. Every commercial break of Wheel of Fortune features a rather prosaic, boring Obama piece etc. etc. and he’s even running stuff on The Food Channel for Pete’s sake! The overkill is annoying and I remember people in Pennsylvania complaining of being inundated with his commercials and how it was a turn off.

These guys just have no sense of what is appropriate. They are clearly overdoing it and hopefully this is what will kill them in the end.

My friends are voting for mcCain/Palin. My adult Hispanic students are also Voting for McCain/Palin. I’m in California so I don’t if that helps. The other day I saw a NOBAMA sticker on a car. For California that is brave.

As regards the infamous “whitey tape” or the new version, the API tape of MO, I guess there is something sinister in some of us, in that we hope for validation of our beliefs that the O’s are closet racists, nurtured in the church of Jeremiah Wright. We know we are right, but people won’t believe us, so something like this would seem to prove we are right. But it’s a cheap and ugly way to get there.

Even if people believe it when they see it, and many won’t believe it in this era of special effects, it will exacerbate the very real and ugly racism that still paralyzes America. There is talk of race riots if BO loses, and maybe even if he wins. I actually fear the possibility of”entitlement riots” more than I fear the “revenge riots.” Even though the source of it is purported to be MO being MO, and therefore all her fault, it will only make the racial tensions worse. We really don’t need that.

The obvious exception to staying on the high road is the very real danger that BO might bring disaster, or even treachery, along with him. We are not just talking about defeating an inexperienced guy who unseated Hillary with dirty campaigning. It very well could be as dire as many fear it might. If that is the case, perhaps it is better to get everything out in the open, even at the cost of riots. I’d rather have a period of unrest than the toppling of our country.

I hope these tapes exist, just to validate my suspicions, but I also hope they are never aired. I hope it won’t be necessary. But if BO won’t come clean about his personal history and background, and the courts won’t adjudicate it, then damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!

Regarding all comments about polling, a very interesting article from the Wall Street Journal,
“Some Surveys Indicate Tighter Presidential Race” covers the difficulties that pollsters are encountering this year. One interesting point is that those polls that show Obama with a large lead tend to assume that a growing proportion of voters are Democrats.

My thought is that since no one really knows how many PUMAs are out there, these polls may be seriously skewed. I have never changed my Democrat registration even though I no longer consider myself as such and I assume that I am not the only one. Check out this article at:

Maybe my parents generation, they are in their 90′s and 80′s. However I’m at the tail end of the Baby Boomers generation and the Boomers wrote the book on civil rights, equal rights and free sexual expression. I stand by the comment about not being in the minority.

The November Surprise
I believe that people are not telling the truth about how they plan to vote. The polls are cooked and the media is trying to convince the American public that BO is way ahead. If he were way ahead he wouldn’t be so frantic to get every vote.

Has anyone heard more today about the Berg vs. Obama case filed in Pa? Is there any chance of this being resolved soon? That could surely affect the poll #s in a large way if that came out before Nov 4th…but would the MSM cover that either??

I heard one of my kids say that IOWA stands for Idiots Out Wandering Around. Too bad there are some nice intelligent people over there but sadly the minority.

Nobama is doing the same here in IL. Why when this state is supposed to be a given for him? I can’t take it another day! I am hearing “I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message.” in my sleep!

I don’t ever go near the msm and enjoy the Fox News so much more.
We were also Hillary supporters and donors, experience did it for us and so that is why we are voting for McCain/Palin!!!

It started one day when….

I am voting McCain/Palin, but Obama’s full statement was not “A plumber is the guy he’s fighting for.” The first part of the statement was snipped. The full statement was something like “McCain wants you to think that a plumber is the guy he’s fighting for.” Taken in context, I don’t believe this statement mocks Joe the Plumber. Even though I’m agin’ Obama, I was angered that “our side” is resorting to the same tactics of manipulation as theirs. Even Hannity aired the truncated audio clip. Boo!

The entire media has already lost it’s job, and willingly. They had the chance to continue the efforts of journalism, and they decided they’d rather not..all for ‘that one’. FOX doesn’t have to give in, it won’t change the outcome in the event Obama wins.

Although, I am wondering, when did FOX say this? If it were any of their afternoon programming or Brit Hume and his panel, they’ve been pro Obama all along.

There’s a reason the shows educating the public about Obama have the highest ratings.
You know the Obots do not enjoy hearing anything negative about their leader. More people watch, follows that those watching the highest rated shows are not kool aide Obama followers.

What I see is panic on the part of the O-camp and those shills in the media, we only need to stay focused keep getting the word out to as many as possible and urge everyone to vote against Obama. We Can Defeat him…..and they know it!

Well I think McCain is not fighting for Joe the plumber he’s fighting for all americans. And what McCain wants is that all americans checking out for themselves that Obama is fighting only for himself.

Same here I am registered Dem but now consider myself Independent.

I’ll probably change after the election. The only thing that bothers me is that I wouldn’t be able to vote in a primary as an Independent here in Florida.

I’m a senior too, and wasn’t conservative til Obama came along. Though I’ve been called a racist by an Obama-supporting co worker, race doesn’t matter to me as long as the person is right for the job and doesn’t have a past he/she is afraid to share.

I keep reading that the polls are cooked, not weighted appropriately, not reflective of the real voter sentiment. What I’d like someone to explain is why so many polling organizations are getting it wrong. Just so I can understand it, please enlighten me. I’d surely feel better and perhaps be able to explain to others.

Joe the Plumber, a Single Working Father, to Lose His Job for Opposing Obama’s Tax Plan

I was visiting my son in NH earlier this week (BTW, the Fall Foliage was stunning!). He and his girlfriend are for Obama – she is a full time student and her school has attracted all the big names. Michelle had just visited and Howie was there during my visit exhorting them all to go register. My son works in a mill work shop in addition to school and in this shop are very “low information” voters. They aren’t even Joe the Plumber because many don’t plan to vote. Can’t be bothered to pay attention either. An unscientific polling method I used was the yard signs around the area. Fully 90% are McCain-Palin and Sunnunu with scattered Obama and Shaheen. With the NH philosophy of Live Free or Die, I’m amazed they would even vote for a Dem who is going to tax the heck out of them! I’m sure BO was concentrating on the college towns, and the majority of the area I visited is smaller, more rural and blue collar.

Hmmm. On one hand, I agree with those who fear the last 24 hours may be too late. I usually just go to the polls to vote but I’m doing an absentee ballot this year to avoid the potential hassle of waiting in a long line behind newly-registered voters who don’t have their $hit together.

On the other hand, I think the Sunday talk shows and 24-hour news channels would do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in their power to counteract the effect of such an incendiary tape. So maybe the less time they have to make excuses and accusations, the better.

Welcome Debbie!! You’re not alone. A lot of us are voting Republican for Pres. for the first time. I feel like the mud has been washed off of my face and I can see clearly for the first time. This election has been an epiphany about so-called liberalism (it’s really nothing of the sort).

I have to wonder if Bobo is wasting valuable time trying to eke out the few electoral votes allotted to NH and WV so that the MSM can scream that he won them in order to influence voters farther west. His whole strategy seems to be a jump-on-the-bandwagon appeal. The media continues to bluster that he’s “surging in the polls” and predict a Bobo landslide. Yet the fact that he referred to the Bradley Effect concerning NH shows his concern. He must think all he has to do is spend a little money or make a magical appearance. In little Gallipolis, OH, in southeast Gallia Co., I noticed an otherwise empty-looking storefront with a large Obama sign in the window. Bobo HQ? A total waste in a Republican stronghold!

yes. i concur. but i also believe that the videos of obama ridiculing joe the plumber (jtp) will bring him down. obama cannot help it. he cannot stand to be questioned or diminished and that’s exactly what jtp has done. you can see it in his face – the same look after the hillary debate when he gave her the finger and the brush off. this is but a hint of the vindictive obama we will get should he successfully steal the election. we are in a sad time for this country. i suspected it, but knew with certainty when hillary gave the nomination to obama at the convention practically at gunpoint. just pray he gets what he deserves and what i’ve been predicting since sarah’s tap – the biggest landslide loss in the history of this country.

Here in Oregon that is going to be too late. You all may not know that we are The Vote By Mail state and we are scheduled to receive our ballots next week. Although a lot of people will wait until the last minute to get their ballots in, there will also be a lot (me included) who will vote as soon as the ballot received. That tape needs to be released within the next week.

The idea that Obama will win the Presidency with minorities and the youth vote is laughable. I don’t believe any of these polls for one instant. Democrats only win when they can bring in blue collar whites and I haven’t seen a shred of evidence that that’s happening. The silent majority is going to be very polite and quiet like they always do so as not to offend anyone, and then they’re going to go to the polls and vote for the guy who they’ve known and trusted for 10+ years.

To be fair, right now, Obama is looking at an electoral landslide. McCain needs to pick up enough undecideds in CO, NM, and NV to swing those states back to him.
