another “Propagandistic” ploy by the GOP to connect with the average American….McCain could care less about “the average” American, while he has been lining his pockets for the past 26 years, Joe the Plumber and others like him have been struggling to make ends meet,

McCain is so out of touch with reality, that these attempts to reach Mainstream America are not being well received…for one thing, people in this country are not ignorant…there are enough resources out there that enable us to come to our on decision about the economy and where this country is headed without using the rhetorics of this “New” Joe (remember “Mr. Six Pack”)…

“How Gullible does he think the American people really are?”…

Joe is no more close to having “taxable” income of 250k than I am to becoming the next President….his last tax return showed income of only 40k (and poor guy could not even pay the income tax on that)….so ask yourself why would Joe even have an interest in a tax plan that does not directly apply to him?…I think the GOP may have the answer to that question…even if he were to buy the business that is on the market for 1.2 million dollars I doubt (at least in the next 10 to 15 years) he will have to worry about Obama’s tax plan as most of his business revenues would be offset by tremendous expenses(i.e., General O/H Exp,interest Exp, Operating Costs)….

on the issue of taxes, they have to be paid regardless of your party denomination and both parties have had to raise taxes to pay for the basic necessities of running this country, so to blame a specific party is just plain ignorant…I have asked myself how McCain is planning on paying for all the programs he wants to implement while still staying in Iraq, buying out all of the country’s “Bad Mortgages” and contemplating fighting everyone else in the world, he must be some kind of wizard!…Obama on the other hand has never lied about taxation, has a more realistic approach to the “meltdown” and is very much in tune with the economics of this country…

why America is giving Joe “the Plumber” a platform is beyond my comprehension, I suspect his 15 minutes of fame will be over soon!

I agree, you must not have any real knowledge or you wouldn’t post such ridiculous remarks. Joe the Plumber’s question matters little. OB’s ANSWER matters a LOT.

I think that most people know so little about Obama that they project onto him what they want to see. That’s what happens when key info is missing…psychologically you fill in the blanks, maybe with fantasy stuff. People are scared and some are desperate, and they are hoping against hope that he can change it all for them. He can’t.

I think it says a lot that Obama is drastically outspending McCain and it is still such a close race. I guess election fraud costs a lot.

If McCain and Sarah had tried to set this up, they could have never pulled it off.

Personally, I think Joe the Plumber is handsome and I would love to meet a guy like him — down to earth, dependable, hard worker and filled with common sense, unlike some weasel we all know whose middle name starts with “H.”
