Late Open Thread * The Enabler: Obama Set The Revolting Example For His Supportive Sexist Pigs and Beasts

As the Plastic Jesus goes, so goes his sycophants.

I know I have mentioned a number of times– every time we see an Obama supporter behave like a beast towards women– that Barack Obama has been the Enabler for the most disgusting behavior in a political campaign I have ever seen in my not so short life.

He is truly the Enabler of the Despicable. Finally, someone comes right out and says exactly what I mean.

  • Seattle Moss

I want Obama defeated not just because he is a closet Marxist and wishes defeat for America.
I want Obama defeated because these thugs need to be brought down. No mandate can be given to sexist assholes who feel that they have a mandate to abuse women.
Obamabots have no class and are hateful of women and anyone that makes an honest living in this country.
They represent the worst in any society and need to be flushed!

    • IronMan

Does McCain’s sexism and blatant disregard for feminist/humanist issues get a pass from you? Why am I even asking that question. If you were capable of intelligent discourse it would show in your post. It doesn’t!

      • typical.white.person

Which part are you talking about? The fact that McCain pays his female employees more on average than his male employees?

McCain believes people should show by example, not that they should be governed by more regulations. I don’t necessarily agree with him in that aspect, but at least he walks the walk.

        • Seattle Moss

McCain has said that he will have more women in his cabinet than in history..
People like Meg Whitman, Carly Fiorina and of course Sarah Palin.
McCain is good friends with Hillary and has always shown her great respect.

          • Muppity

Carly Fiorina? Don’t hold your breath.

The talk was that Fiorina was being lined up to become Treasury Secretary. And then, last month, disaster. On a radio interview, Fiorina was asked whether she thought Sarah Palin had the experience to run a large US corporation as she had done. ‘No I don’t,’ Fiorina replied. ‘That’s not what she is running for.’ Later, on television, she was asked to clarify those remarks and she compounded the error by saying: ‘Well, I don’t think John McCain could run a major corporation.’

The comments could not have come at a worse time. Even as the markets were collapsing and voters were losing their jobs, savings and homes, a key figure in McCain’s team was questioning the candidate’s experience. Since 17 September McCain’s lead has disappeared. Obama has not looked back.

A well-placed Republican insider said: ‘This is the most intense campaign and you have to surround yourself with experienced people. She does not qualify in that department. She’s not a political person.

            • C.S.

I don’t consider it a detriment that Governor Palin and Senator McCain would not make good CEOs. George W. Bush ran the country into the ground like a bad CEO. If a democracy needs CEOs they would be put to better use in Congress. CEOs are about bottom lines and making profits and cutting the cost of human units. Presidents are about serving and protecting.

And one of Palin’s assets is that she is not a “political person” steeped in party before country loyalty. Just because GWB had to have Cheaney around to do his job doesn’t mean the Constitution planned it that way. I guess neither party has come to terms with we voters who are thinking outside the box we have been stuffed in.

            • Hope Floats! Flush Twice!

Carly Fiorina supposedly made a lousy CEO, too. It was stupid of her to even go there. The only reason this is relevant is that the presidency is supposedly comparable. It’s more like being the governor of a state.

            • kgirl1028

And this was supposed to be obama’s strong suit? Go fig. It works when you place someone at the top of the ticket but not, as vp. What was it nancy pelosi said? Yeah Fresh, well sarah palin is fresh as fresh can be. almost as fresh as my can of pringles after being open for a week. Me and my Fresh can are going to run Freshly in another Fresh four years. I bet after Four years it will still be Fresh. and untouched by washington politics. Wow! How brilliant and Fresh!

Oh yeah, OBama getting money from middle eastern sources is all over the web. Go get your own information. That’s why americans are so easily lied too you are so damn gullible that you never go look for anything yourself. Google it and see what comes up. I don’t wait to get a source, I just go look for myself. References are great, but they only point you in the direction the author looks in. For instance, white scientist in the 1800′s who wanted to prove the Negro and Indian inferior by measuring skulls would only include the skulls that fit what they were looking for. Larger African skulls and smaller Europeans ones got thrown out. that’s how we operate. Note a simple comparison in Canis lupus Familiaris would have disproved this theory. My younger miniature dachshunds head is smaller than my standard but is more cleaver he can climb up a table with ease of a cat and climb back down just as quickly. …pitty the few that have come in our yard and use the pic nic table as high ground. and both at times they appear smarter than dogs twice their size and whose heads are obviously larger than theirs. So if you can not apply intelligence to head size in among one sub species, why wouldn’t the same apply in Homo sapien sapien. Could have saved themselves alot of measuring.

You find what you are looking for. Tony Rezko is from the middle east and so are the people he deals with. Then there was the three brothers from Hamos. but what we really do know is that obama has lots of contributers who send him just enough money so you can’t tell were its coming from and make up names. That in itself looks wrong. Save yourself some measuring. No matter what the origin it unsavory.

Ironman — femiminism is not all about the female uterus.

The Obama camp is needs a sensitivity tyraining session. They brought us stylish tee-shirts like:

        Bros Before Hos

        Sarah Palin Is A Cunt

And his supporters waer these at his pep rallies.

Please don’t talk to me about feminist issues.

The Obots always show up and attempt to defend the most horrible behavior.

          Obama has lead by example.

          Riverdaughter wrote this today:

We do have other places to go. In fact, it is our obligation for us to do something other than acquiesce. As Edmund Burke said, ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing.’ If we allow ourselves to be divided, with the Whole Foods Nation in their triumph cutting the poor, working class, minorities, elderly and women out of the process to become second class citizens, we give our permission to further acts of degradation. We create a permanent underclass. And this underclass may never again have enough wherewithal to achieve adequate representation in government to achieve its goals.

This is what Obama represents. I am very sorry to have to disappoint Senator Clinton but when the pollster asked me if I would vote for Obama, I said “No”. This is my choice and I take full responsibility for it. If Democrats don’t all go forward into the future together, they shouldn’t go forward. We should not allow the privieleged in the Democratic party secede in order to unburden itself from its obligations towards the common good.

          riverdaughter.wordpress.com/2008/10/18/saturday-a-house-divided/#comments

Damn but Riverdaughter has such a wonderful way with words. I am so glad that I was driven off of the other “liberal/progressive” blogs. I’ve found newer and better voices for the sort of future I’d like to see.

Thanks NQ writers and others fantastic writers of the really neat blogs.

I agree with everything in your post. Thank you.

        • Liz B

I am wondering if we made up shirts that say Barack Obama Is A Cunt, and walked around Philadelphia…would it get any notice from the Press? Would it upset Philadelphians then? Just askin’…
we could just use exactly the same shirt and substitute the names…I am willing to bet, that would get serious attention.

          • Ciardha

Or more applicable to his gender “Obama is a prick”

            • Liz B

Or better yet, what if we substituted the names Michelle Obama is a c*nt, or Jill Biden is a C*nt… or maybae their mothers names, or their sisters, or daughters…I wonder what would happen to the people who would dare to wear those shirts?
We all saw what happened to Joe the Plumber…

      • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

I’ll tell you this. I never heard read a mccain supporter calling me a c*nt on the internet. Not even Bushites did that. I have a whole collection of these messages from you Obama pigs–and worse. you are nothing but filthy pigs.Your mothers must be so proud.

        • Muppity

The people with the shirts are apparently Libertarians.

Ben Smith of Politico- I mentioned the shirts in passing earlier, and one of their creators, emailing under the name Rhiannon Volpe, objected to my suggestion that she was a Democrat:

I personally am a registered Libertarian, supporting Obama this year. Palin is the last woman I want to hold a political office right now. Her lack of common sense, cruel treatment to animals, and just plain ignorance to what we (Americans, and even women) really care about is absolutely frustrating. The point of wearing the shirt to me is just a bold way of saying that she certainly is not liked or one of “us.” To play the gender card is irrelevant, because I am a woman who wears the tshirt anyway.

She added that McCain had, allegedly, used the word himself, “so is it really that offensive?” And she said none of the people pictured were Democrats.

          • jvsp

“And she said none of the people pictured were Democrats.”

So says her, if she really is one of the “creators.”

Whether McCain said it or not, it does NOT justify these morally bankrupt individuals in BROADCASTING something that is so derogatory for ALL to see.

            • Muppity

So says her, if she really is one of the “creators.”

According to Politico she’s selling the shirts online.

            • Hope Floats! Flush Twice!

Liars. They discredit Libertarians at the same time they excuse the Democratic candidate. No libertarian would support a statist “Democrat.”

          • noproblama

She’s an Obama supporter. That says it all.

          • notrees

Your worried about cruelty to animals but none of you Obama freaks give a damn about cruelty to human beings–BAIPA!!!! Maybe you are more worried about cruelty to animals because you are one. I suppose you don’t eat chicken, fish, steak, bacon ? Well probabely not bacon because the Muslims don’t eat pork.

          • C.S.

All this Rhiannon Volpe says is that Soertoro/Obama appeals to the fringe element in our country. Now we need to know why he appeals to them!

I think it’s because he expresses himself the same way they do…the shoulder-foot-cheek scratch dance…references to female body functions… disrespect for the patriot symbols of the U.S. And I am thrilled that Governor Palin is like us and Joe the Plumber and not like Rhiannon Volpe and her T shirt wearing friends.

          • Leisa

That Libertarian showed her ignorance in her comments about Palin. All of her words are therefore irrelevant and are foolish to try to use in a rational argument.

She, in other words, is an ill informed hypocrite that has formed emotional decisions based on lies and misinformation. If she wishes to degrade herself by attempting to degrade others in that fashion, I would say she in operating on a level that suits most Obamabots well.

Muppity, you shame yourself by these arguments.

“The blind cannot see, the proud will not.”

They are Obama voters, that’s the point. Boy, she’s clueless- typical Obama voter. Never liked Libertarians either, ever single one I ever knew were misognyist, self righteous, self centered, selfish, greedy creeps. That crew is a perfect example.

I don’t know. I have’t seen any cunt tee-shirts coming out of the McCain supporters, Or women bashed over the head with their own political signs. Or . . .

But, of course, I’m sure you have excuses and other charges to lob back. No sexism or charges of racism waged against the Clintons. Oh no. We’re exaggerating, too sensitive, not capable of intelligent discourse.

disgusting….at least McCain PICKED A WOMAN FOR HIS V-P. BARRY HUSSEIN PICKED AN OLD WHITE MALE SENATOR.

McCain is a 72 year old man. But give him credit that I ain’t giving your Anorexic REsume Holding Messiah! McCain picked a Woman for his V-P!

You sexist (boys or gals it don’t matter) ObamaPiggies should rethink your vote before it’s too late. Obama’s own camouflaged Misogyny is far more dangerous!

Did you see your anorexic resume’s mega-hit on youtube where he raises his dainty midfinger to ‘flip-off’ and treat like excrement and dust his fellow female Senator Clinton?

        “OBAMA GIVES HILLARY THE FINGER”

he gave her his midfinger agian at the Smith Dinner, ever so discreety, the goddamn sexist piece of Sharia Law garbage! And read about his support for his sharia law cousin ODINGA IN KENYA where 200,000 women are now displaced and 50 churches burned crips. That’s your boy Obamarama!

I agree and would go further and say that when I see what kind of thugs, criminals, lowlifes and other assorted scum support Obama, it pains me to think that these people will become emboldened and more confident upon seeing him win.

It’s not that I’m saying all Obama’s supporters are like this because they’re not – but you have to admit he really does seem to have blanket support from all the really lowdown, despicable elements of society.

I agree with your comment and believe that the ObamaThugs got an assist by the media misogynist frat-boys and pushed Hillary to a fraudulent ‘finish-line’ of superdels! We must NOT TOLERATE SEXIST OBAMYOPIA!

I am afraid to contemplate an “Obama Prsidency” as they would continue the WAR AGAINST WOMEN. The book of this title was written by Canadian Brian Vallee and he’s got some interesting facts:

From 2000 to 2006, 4,588 U.S. soldiers and police officers were killed by hostilities or accident. In that same period, 8,100 Women were shot, stabbed, strangled or beaten to death by their “intimate males”! The cost of violence to the country is more than $5.8 billion medical plus 2 million for social mechanisms to assist victimized and injured women survivors.

You can bet (Sarah can betcha anyday on this!) that if the Obama Rapper-Presidency is running things, these numbers will skyrocket! Remember, Barry Hussein has…..LUDACRIS SONGS ON BHO’S IPOD!…
Remember when he got on stage with the comedian Barney who called “mothers and sisters….”hos”! That’s the respect we can expect from this sexist anorexic pig of a man!

  • typical.white.person

    I don’t buy this shit.

They are playing delay games and still not promising to release the tapes in a timely manner (if they even exist). I agree with Troy @ comment # 17 (see link).

    • Jason

I agree, I think API are bullshitting it has to be said.

Reading their blurb over the last two days it’s just occurred to me what their writing style reminds me of.

It reminds me of the Nigerian internet scammers. You know these assholes who send you junk mail claiming to be the heirs to a fortune which they require your bank account to transfer (or some such shit), offering you a cut? There are some great online forums on which people engage with these scam artists and post the to-and-fro they have on a thread. Their turn of phrase and transparent attempts to sound “genuine” are remarkably similar to the API guys in my opinion.

Or maybe it’s just something to do with the way Africans use language, I don’t know. All I know is that I’m getting huge “scam” vibes from that website. We’ll see tomorrow. If it’s just more diversion and excuses then I’m officially ignoring it from then on.

      • typical.white.person

The bottom line is: put up or shut up.

If they have the tapes, release them.

If it is a hoax, then API is only harming their own credibility (assuming they ever had any). McCain else is staying focused on issues he knows to be true about Obama (Ayers, ACORN, etc.)

        • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

I don’t allow that link to be posted on my blog. One of my readers contacted them and asked if they had an audio. They said yes. Now they are circulating a story that they are afraid to post the audio and plastering THAT link all over the net. I don’t buy this story unless I hear an audio. It’s a put up or shut up situation as far as I’m concerned. The whole thing has an odor.

Furthermore, Michelle might be nasty but she’s not stupid.

          • candymarl

I agree. I think the whole thing is a”look over there” ploy. Anyone who subscribes without proof will be branded a nut-job, conspiracy theorist, racist.

Funny this came along just as the questions about Rezko, Ayers, Obama’s COLB, and ACORN were gaining traction.

            • typical.white.person

You would think law enforcement could walk into a court of law with the list of names of Obama’s known friends and associates (Ayers, Auchi, Rezko, Dohrn, Wright, Pflegler, Khalid al-Mansour, Frank Marshall Davis, et al.) and walk with a warrant to wiretap Obama and the rest of his criminal enterprise friends.

Creating chaos in order to establish malaise like in the countries in Africa is everywhere and it also shows itself in pretending to aid the other side.

          • http://purplechiten.wordpress.com Chiten

nah, Michelle is nasty AND stupid. At least much less intelligent than she wants people to know. She rode her brother’s coattails into college or would have had to settle for a regular state college like many people do. (state colleges aren’t bad, but they aren’t ivy-league either). Her brother was anathelete so she was given enrollement even though her test scores were actually lower than is allowed for entrance. More affirmative action and nepotism to give her yet another thing she had not earned on her own merit while she wasn’t proud of her country.
They are certainly keeping her out of the public eye lately. I wonder if this tape has something to do with it as well as whether or not rudi has/will release the “whitey tape”. Both would be very welcomed October surprises. I’d love to see obi put on the spot and be forced to fight or flight.

I think the whole story is bogus, a mere distraction, so no one discusses what “is” out there: Joe the Plumber and spread the wealth taxation, health care costs, Obama’s disturbing Chicago affiliations, lack of foreign experience, no record of standing up to the powers that be [meaning own party], no real accomplishments, yada, yada.

He’s trying to run out the clock, hoping the shit doesn’t hit the fan.

    IronMan —

Here’s the sensitivity of the Obama camp. Tee-shirts that read:

    Bros Before Ho’s

    Sarah Palin Is A Cunt.

People wear these at Obama pep rallies. Not a word is uttered by “The One” to stop it.

Feminisim is NOT all about the female uterus… sweetie.

    • Seattle Moss

      Exactly my point Susan…
Abortion is established law..Scalia even said so.

The danger for women is how they are treated in public,at home and in the work place.
Women have only had rights for 100 years. Obama and his backers want to see women take a back seat or even worse follow Muslim Sharia laws which take all rights away from women.

      • Susan1968

I can go on for hours about the “Feminist” movement. And I’m pro-choice.

The NOW Movement made abortion their central issue. They never, ever looked at how many women — many years later — still feel guilty about their abortions. I know many who still cry.

It’s cognative dissonance when a woman has an abortion — every chemical and hormone in their body is screaming: protect this life.

Yes – I beleive a woman should have total control over her own body and have access to abortion. But abortion should be prevented against in every way.

They never ever let young women know that too many abortions may destroy their ability to have a child when they’re ready.

And I really despise when men talk to me about “abortion rights” in that “Daddy knows best” tone.

        Grrrr.

        • Indyvoter

The abortion issue can also be seen as a tool of left-wing misogynists.

It allows the left-wing thugs an out from taking responsibility for their sexual proclivities.

There is no respect for women in the Obama camp. Women, even Hillary, are there to be used and abused. It’s humiliating to watch her stump for him.

actually Susan 1968, while reproductive choice has been one of NOW’s priorities, the ERA was pretty big too, as are NOW’s other priorities. NARAL has choice as its foundation.

The only emails I received from NOW asked for money. Not one word of defense for the name-calling and disrespect.

Maybe NOW should work on educating the society about the dismissal of women as b*tches, wh*res, and c*nts. If they can’t do that what are the odds they’ll get the ERA passed?

      • bethtopaz

I used to work for Experian and they told us that women only had their own credit reports since 1974.

      • C.S.

The 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920, more than a decade shy of 100 years, but equality under the law didn’t come with it. As late as the 1970s double standards still applied and it was considered common knowledge that sexual harassment charges was just “women scorned” out for revenge.

If this divisive male versus female election doesn’t prove that women still have a long way to go nothing will. And it isn’t about the Supreme Court decision on Roe v wade which actually ruled that civil rights were violated under Amendments 9 and 14.

How about “Obama is a cunt”? Female body parts do not dictate whether or not you’re a “cunt”, at least not in the gay community (I hear gay men using it all the time against their boys/friends).

Absolutely and if you ever spend any time talking with Brits you will find that the word is used to describe men as well as women. It is a cultural thing actually.

  • Mr. X

That’s a great video. I like the way she describes it. The Obama campaign has definitely set the tone. What I found funny is when they tried to get Hillary supporters to support the Obama campaign by telling them to get over it. They simply cannot be nice for a change. In fact, I’ll go one step further and say that they are incapable of change.

The MSM has been rather silent on the insulting, gross T-shirts worn by Obama-devotees. Wonder how quiet they would be if the T-shirts had Michelle’s name instead of Sarah Palin’s? I would never advocate for that. But does anyone doubt how much news coverage there would be if the insult were directed toward the Obama camp?

Hateing women is so very half black of Barack!

His father lied to his mother and abandoned her.

His white grandmother had to raise the Black Man’s child.

How many black males abandon their children? 87%

Listen to Black Rap. Every woman is a Bitch, A whore or worse.

When have women ever united to say:

“Enough! We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it any more”?????

    Why so devided????

Why so silent in the face of this abuse????

Hateing women is so very Muslim of Barack!

Under Muslims, Women are less than dogs.

Women are slaughtered by Muslim men almost as sport.

Women!! You have the numbers and the power if only you would unite.

I admire Hillary and Sara for having the guts to stand up to these black muslim sickos!!!

When are the rest of the Gender going to have the GUTS to unite and back these two very brave Women??

When they come for me, I will empty my clip first and my dog will have a snack. Barack Obama is nothing but a pig. And I can’t imagine any woman supporting him. It’s like supporting your own future oppression. He can take his vibrating cell phone and shove it. I spend most of my life in corporate America and he would be shown the lobby for his behaviors toward women. He is the worst sexist pig I have seen run for office in decades and he attracts others just like him.

      • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

And one more thing I learned in the past decades. The attitude of a president rolls downhill into the workplace and the home. If this man is president, women will have a LOT more to worry about than roe v wade. his followers have no problem smacking women and calling them Ho’s. No problem making rap songs about killing them. They are indoctrinated by this man to hate women and we had better get that message before it’s too late.

        • Seattle Moss

          Exactly Uppity..
Obama either represents the end of uncivil behavior, gangsta rap and sexism with his defeat or just the beginning of an overall assault on women and the American way.

People miss that he promotes change from the bottom up. Wide range of meaning that says the bottom criminal element, those in jail and those from the criminal justice will be first and foremost leading change.

In the past we incarcerated criminals, but have seen in other countries that it is not so there where change happens because criminal take control. The problem is that we always think America is impervious to damages of that kind. And a lot of people wanted to end the times when America helped make things better. Those times have ended. Change from the bottom means criminals are winning and are taking control. God help the good people now that they are the diminished minority.

Watch for the MSM to ignore the latest Obamathuggery… a petite middle-aged woman was assaulted by an Obamabot because she held a McCain sign. She was with two other McCain supporters, both men, but when the thug started ripping up McCain signs and splintering the sticks the signs were mounted on, the woman said something and got beat in the face with the stick.

I could see one thing or maybe 2, but the list of items grows every day, EVERYTHING obama has touched has been met with failure or corruption, every single thing, i found a list of verified facts that amounted to over a 100 the other day on a non-partisan site that listed all the reasons not to vote for him, can you give me 100 reasons not to vote for McCain? 100 real, verified, factually accurate reasons? Can you even name one accomplishment from obama? just give me one, one thing he’s done that worked, one? that’s it, good luck finding it, might want to grab some food and drink and some pain meds, because your head will hurt and you’ll be exhausted after spending hour upon hour upon hour and not finding a SINGLE thing.

just google it, that’s all I did. I will say in fairness (omg, what a concept) that some of the ones I found listed seemed kinda’ silly, and some were disproven supposedly (I don’t really trust snopes or factcheck.org anymore though) but I found that for both sides anyway, and I found significantly more for obama than mccain. I know neither man is perfect, and I don’t agree 100% with either one, but when you’ve looked at as many sites and read as much as I have from both sides, you really get a good sense of what you’re getting with either guy. I’d like to add that this year is not about D’s and R’s but about all of us as Americans, we all live here, and we will all have to live with our decision for the next 4 years, you really have to look deep and thoroughly and be careful where that precious vote goes. Look at both senator’s records, shoot, just look at each one of their districts since they’ve been senator. Which one would you rather have as our country? Make no mistake, the job they’ve done as senator will transfer DIRECTLY to the presidency, do you go with “present”, or do you go with the guy who suspended his campaign twice to do his job? Pretty easy for me, but I’ve never claimed a party either so maybe that’s why.

  • candymarl

I think most Americans, gender and race notwithstanding, are tired of being called names.

I think some are beginning to feel shame at the treatment of women like Hillary and Sarah and men like Joe. All the “I care about you” ads by Obama don’t erase his followers actions.

How many times can Obama be defended when he doesn’t stand up against this kind of thing? Even his most ardent supporters are running out of excuses.

If Obama wants to be the leader of the free world he has to take responsibility for something and someone other than himself. His inability to do so shows a real lack of leadership.

  • John Smith

McCain 45.1 Obama 47.8 on Zogby. I still think that the polls are over sampled but this is a move toward McCain.

  • IndieDogg

A quick note, from the Dallas Morning News endorsement of McCain/Palin, this pretty well sums it up.

Leave it to Texas to boil it down to Straight Talk:

It’s easy to see why the admirable Barack Obama has won so many hearts this year. He’s as smooth and charismatic as his opponent is raw and irascible. But voters aren’t electing a debater-in-chief. They should keep their heads and their eyes focused on the record.

    • fif

I have to object to this constant description of Obama as “smooth and charismatic.” I have never gotten that from him. I think that after 8 years of George Bush, who can’t string two words together, people are really exaggerating Obama’s “oratorical skills.” He is articulate, yes, but so what? His speeches have always sounded borrowed and contrived to me, and empty of substance. And charismatic? Off teleprompter, it’s only true if you like someone who is boring and says “uhhhh,” “ummmmm” “uhhhhhh” every other word. He’s arrogant, petulant, and self-absorbed. I just don’t get it–never have, never will.

  • ConcernedCitizenX

This is a bit OT, but I have been thinking about it and would be interested in feedback. In regard to the Rezko land deal, please tell me if someone else has considered out this quite interesting possibility (and one which I think may be close to the truth): The land deal went down like this — the same owner sells Obama a lot for $300K less than asking price on the same day that Rita Rezko buys an adjacent lot for full price at $625K, which according to the whistle-blower who did the original appraisal is $125K over the actual full value of the property. It seems quite apparent to me that this was a backdoor way of giving Obama a BRIBE. Rezko made an arrangement with the seller to give Obama a 300K break on one property by agreeing to buy the other property for $125K more than it’s actual value. If you consider the high values of the properties involved, and consider that a normal buyer of each property would have negotiated a purchase price LOWER than the asking price, but not as much lower as Barack got, then what you see is that Rezko PAID BACK the owner of the properties for giving Obama a break on his lot by OVERPAYING for the other lot. So Rezko used a clever device to, in essence, give Obama an approximately $300K BRIBE in the form of an artificially cheap house. That’s why both deals went down on the same day, otherwise how could the seller be sure Rezko would make good on the arrangement? Make sense to anyone?

    • John Smith

This is not the first time that these kind of deals have gone down. The senator from Alaska is in trouble for getting his house renovated without paying the entire tab.

    • Mr. X

What you mention is exactly what is on people’s minds. In fact, anyone in real estate doing this kind of deal would be in deep trouble, but we’re talking about a government official and a political fixer here.

Thanks so much for posting this Tammy Bruce video–I hadn’t heard about this T-shirt business, and I have to tell you it makes my very mad. How can any woman calling herself a feminist support someone like Obama? He reminds me of some of my boyfriends when I was young–a smooth talker with great ambition and empty promises who is so in love with himself you might as well not even be there. He may send tingles up Chris Matthews’ leg, but my hair stands on end when I hear him talk.

And the behavior of his supporters–my gosh, they are as vicious as the KGB if you get out of line! It’s a real totalitarian mindset, with not one shred of tolerance for dissent. These people are just plain scary, like the Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution in China.

What’s truly pathetic are those who have been so thoroughly brainwashed by long exposure to right-wing propaganda that they’re no longer capable of objective thought.

It’s entirely legitimate to disagree with Obama, but there’s something else going on when you demonize the man and anyone who supports him.

The fact that Obama is supported by a lot of good and intelligent people ought to provide a clue that he might not really be what those who hate and fear him suggest he is.

I strongly disagree with McCain and Palin, but I haven’t lost sight of their virtues or their humanity. I don’t assume that their supporters are morally or mentally deficient. They’re also just people I disagree with.

      • noproblama

Yes, it’s entirely legitimate to disagree with Obama – as long as you don’t mind being called a racist or a cunt – which I guess is preferable to being smacked in the face with sign.

      • jbjd

        It’s not that simple.

I mentioned to a co-worker, a strong supporter of BO who admittedly hasn’t followed the news or conducted his own research on the candidate – he hasn’t even accessed BO’s web site – that, there is currently a federal lawsuit contesting BO’s eligibility to be POTUS, based on the fact, he is not a natural born citizen as required by the U.S. Constitution. He said, ‘I don’t care about that, I care about…’

His decision to vote for BO having failed to educate himself about the candidate imposes on me his ignorance but fails to undermine our democracy. But by eschewing the Constitutional requirements for office, just so that the man he likes can become President, he becomes an enemy combatant trying to steal my democracy.

I am not going to take this lying down.

    • Far from Balanced

Nobody is mocking Joe the Plumber, least of all Barack Obama.

Maybe you should try evaluating things for yourself, instead of letting people like Hannity play a carefully video bite and then do it for you. Hannity is a total nincompoop.

    According to this article:

    http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/nation/ny-usdeba195890112oct19,0,1854672.story

The electoral college is a huge problem for McCain and he appears to have already lost that war by having to defend red states that he shouldn’t have to defend.

Unless something MAJOR happens we are looking at President Obama. And I’m not even sure something major this late will be enough.

    • Shiloh

Obama will not turn a single red state blue. America has flirted with Obama but is breaking up and marrying McCain.

      • Lindsy

Go look at RCP Obama has 286 electoral votes today with leaners and 246 solids.

If Obama wasn’t threatening the red states then Palin would not be making appearances in states like Indiana. Clearly, they are either behind or closer than they would like it to be. Obama has so much money that he is pumping ad money into states like GA and that state is now a tossup as well.

I think we should hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I think the unfortunate timing of the stock market crash was the final straw and cost McCain the election. I don’t think anything negative will stick to Obama over the final weeks as the media will continue to be his spin machine.

The most we can do is hope Obama is such a failure as a President that we vote his butt out of there in 4 years- if he doesn’t change the constitution so we can’t.

        • Muppity

The most we can do is hope Obama is such a failure as a President that we vote his butt out of there in 4 years…

Country first, right? How patriotic you are to hope for the worst for your country.

          • Lindsy

Barack Obama is a media created celebrity. He has no business being POTSU and had the media done their actual job he would not be on the verge of going to the highest office in the land with no experience, socialist policies, and clearly demonstrated poor judgement.

With him, Reid, and Pelosi running the country for 4 years we will be lucky to escape financial and moral disaster.

The media has destroyed my faith in my democracy. I’m more concerned about Obama using his power to keep himself in office or worse yet using his power to destroy our nation once and for all. He has ties- close ties- to people who HATE America. It is BAD news. And I hope America survives 4 years under him.

            • Muppity

The media has destroyed my faith in my democracy.

Loosing an election and you no longer believe in democracy… I doubt you ever understood this county to begin with.

              • Lindsy

This not about losing an election. It is about losing our freedom. Those who speak out against Obama as a candidate are subjected to hate speech and ridicule. What will it be like when the man is Presdient? If it were any other Democrat running I would not be as concerned.

But I’m very concerned that Obama is a fake and America will find out when it is too late to change the fact that he is the leader of the free world.

Obama does not have America’s best interests at heart.

                • Muppity

What do you want to do, suspend the election? We’re doing what democracies do electing the president. I would also point out we’re electing a House of Representatives and some Senators. Those two bodies are coequal to the president under our constitution. Are you aware of this?

                • Muppity

I was already well aware that sexism still existed in society. But the vulgar Palin t shirts really pushed that over the edge. I just cannot believe in this day and age when racism is charged at every turn that women are still allowed to be treated this way. It’s disgusting, it’s vulgar and IT’S UNACCEPTABLE.

Thank you UW for this excellent post….I pray every single night for John and Sara and this election.

    • Muppity

      It’s disgusting, it’s vulgar and IT’S UNACCEPTABLE.

Yes, but it’s also free speech and the far right Libertarians who are selling the shirt think they can make money with it. That’s free enterprise and free speech which of the two would you like to eliminate?

      • wodiej

I wonder how supportive of free speech you would be if the T shirt said “Muppity’s Mom is a Cunt”….that would be ok with you then??

Free speech is fine except when it tramples on the rights of others. Do you think it is ok for someone to yell “Fire”! in a crowded movie theatre because it’s free speech? That is just far left liberal bullshit. People like you who support Obama think everyone should be free to do whatever they want regardless of who it hurts or affects.

I don’t care who is selling the shirt….it’s disgusting, it’s vulgar and it’s UNACCEPTABLE.

        • Muppity

I never said it was ok with me. I think it’s idiotic and offensive.

No, I’m a skeptic. When people make specific claims regarding campaign expenditures by the McCain and Obama campaigns I think it’s totally appropriate to ask where the figures come from. Why would you bring God into it?

The same fundamental truths exist today that existed in June:

    1) Obama is a fatally flawed candidate who did not win the nomination legitimately

    2) The polls are intentionally and unintentionally biased by at least 6 points

    3) There is a great deal more to come out about Obama

    4) Obama will not win any state where he does not lead by ten points today

    • Lindsy

      Shiloh:

Most of us on this blog know that Obama did not win the nomination legitmately. However, due to RvW scare tactics and the stock market crash 82% of all Dems are now supporting him. America does not seem to care about the fact that he didn’t win the popular vote they have been brainwashed by the media.

How do you know the polls are biased?

There has already been so much stuff that has come out Obama but the media will continue to ignore it and wait out the clock. The Iraq story should have brought him down- it didn’t. His associations with Ayers and ACORN- should have brough him down but it didn’t.

How do you know that Obama will not win any state that he doesn’t lead by 10 points today?

I think the October surprise was the financial crisis and McCain will have a hard, if not impossible time overcoming it.

Are you privy to information the rest of us aren’t or these just your opinions?

      • bemused

The flaw in this analysis is thinking that “92% of Democrats” is actually the same thing as it was a year ago. It looks to me like a lot of “Democrats” recently registered are bogus, which means 92% of them isn’t as much as first appears, AND many long-time Dems are now voting against O. and either not identifying as Dems or not telling the truth to pollsters. Then the pollsters are deliberately packing the polls with “Dems,” self-identified. So, the polls are calling enough O. supporters to get their quota and naturally a lot of “Dems” will support O.

Conclusion: 92% of Dems support O. may be “true” but only based on false premises, which means the “truth” is also false.

        • bemused

Sorry, my eyes aren’t focused yet. 82%. I still think this is bogus.

    New Zogby poll:

McCain now trails Obama by 2.7 points, down from the 3.9 point deficit he faced 24 hours earlier.

Seven-point-one percent of the likely voters surveyed said they remain undecided.

    • AnninCA

yes, the polls are tightening. Zolgby says it’s clear that McCain won the debate from the new numbers.

Plus, it’s usually the case that polls tighten the closer we get to the election date. Looks to me as though the Democrats are a bit premature in their celebrations.

Now, if this starts showing up in the state polls…..watch out. This could be a wild ride!

I agree, when people like Chavez and that midget from N. Korea and MANY others like them, are endorsing someone, that should cause SERIOUS CONCERNS. But many people have their view distorted by some who have hate for America. Why live here? Why not go to N. Korea or Venezula? People rail against capitalism but despite the downfalls of it, that is what makes this country the greatest nation in the world.

In the last two weeks Obama has lost two-thirds of his supposed “lead” in the polls. And yet we hear even more of the talk that it is over and Obama has won. That should tell you all you need to know about the “it’s over campaign.”

The attempt to use media collusion to spread the meme that it was over was shallow and stupid to begin with. No-one ever bought it and certainly no-one is buying it now. If you want a lengthy and rather academic read on the failed “meta-campaign” attempt to win with psy ops instead of votes:

      • Lindsy

I am by no means a troll. I am a lifelong Repub who supported Hillary in the primaries. I was so excited when McCain picked Palin. I just don’t like what I see with the numbers and with the media bias that has already brought down one very good candidate.

I’m afraid for our country and I am just looking for some hope today.

        • Shiloh

Not only are you a troll you are a very amateurish troll. We see many of your kind, we call you “concern trolls.” You pretend to be opposed to Obama and oh so worried that – well by gosh it looks like he is going to win, boo hoo.

But there are NO posters here who are ever going to believe that someone who post after posts tries to bat down reasons why Obama will lose is here looking for hope that he will lose. I’m bothering to write this only for others who will read it. The concern trolls are a source of great amusement. Cheers!

          • Lindsy

Calling me a troll because I ask for some concrete evidence instead of opinions to back up the fact that McCain is losing the electoral college is no better than Obama mocking Joe the plumber because he asked a question.

I have given hundreds of dollars to McCain’s campaign and I want him and Palin to win this election.

I also understand that the reality is the electoral college looks awful right now: with even states like ND being tossups. States McCain should win easily.

I am really genuinely scared of an Obama presidency and just want to see some shred of actual evidence (other than bloggers) that McCain has any kind of shot in this.

I fail to see how that makes me a troll. I’m just a realist who sees the handwriting on the wall.

              Sell it to KOS.

“Lindsy” is probably my favorite type of troll after the “Hey! I love McCain but my neighbor told me X and I just want your help debunking it.” sort.

        • http://deleted Buzz Latte

          Bottom line:

Lindsy, you don’t know dick about what is really happening. Just like the rest of us, we’re out here guessing.

Here’s what I predict. The polls are tightening on the surface, but the internal numbers have been in favor of McCain. McCain is not doing anything extraordinary while Obama is running ads like crazy and buying 30 minute time slots to propagandize some more. Only idiots at this point still think that Obama is the best choice. The overwhelming negativity the emanates from Obama is sickening most of America. If the poll numbers stay tight, it psychologically keeps people interested and more likely to vote.

Joe the Plumber was such a freebie to McCain/Palin it was like a gift from the Gods, which by the way, is how the universe works, if anyone ever pays attention.

Fear is useless here. The courage to listen to your common sense and vote for McCain is all that is required. No running with the pack for Obama because it’s cool or he’s black or he’s different.

    • notrees

I am not Shilo, but the one thing the ENTIRE WORLD IS PRIVVY to is Obama’s past history of association with known Anti-American Islamo Fascists beginning when he was about 10 years old. Then his manipulation of elections when he was running for the Illinois senate. He hasn’t changed.

    • kgirl1028

Actually considering some of the supposed “advice” obama gave oding I would would say is proof enough. We already know the polls are doctored, due to the fact they have skewed the amount of each group that they poll. If that numbers are skewed that means the results are as well. Also this type of economic crisis can be faked. What i would be worreid about is if McCain wins what will happen. We know what happened in africa. YOu can only lie so much, for so long. And while the Supreme Court may have given Ohio a free pass, that does not mean every other state will. So after the lying and skeeming and voter fraud, if obama doesn’t win be prepared for rioting in the street. Obama is a master at bring the nasty out in people. and i do believe it is the purpose of the skewed polls in fact if the Odinga things is true. Obama was probably doing something on a small scale to see if it would work on the larger.

  • Lindsy

And yet notrees America is about to elect him anyway.

And the AP is reporting that Obama raised $150 million in September.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081019/ap_on_el_pr/obama_money

A disgusting amount of money in economically hard times.

    • notrees

Maybe and maybe not. Polls are superficial and the MSM is artificial. A lot can happen in a weeks time in politics. It’s certainly spooky, but so was WW11, The Korean “Police Action”, and Vietnam. We made it through those conflicts and remained intact, except for Nixon. Lindsy, this is another conflict on a different front, but never give up. Even if the bastard wins this first round–there will be other rounds.

    • Indyvoter

there’s alot of Oil money from states that hate us.

    • kgirl1028

Well i guess we know who payed for Michelles dinner tab, the other night. Honestly What’s upsets me about his amount of money, is the rate at which obama goes through it. Hillary was insulted for having used so much money, but every time you tearn around obama has his hand out, but he’s throwing away. Obama should be able to run entire campaign on this amount alone. and yet by next week he will be begging again. Mean while down ticket dems have almost nothing. People need to wake he hell up, if he will go through campaign contributions this quickly what iwll he do to the already sinking economy. I was having this purposeful arguement with my cousin last night. My parents guilted me on going to the movies with her since she had come down to visit. and i knew she was an obama supporter so I purposly brought obama up and slammed him, lol you should have seen her. some times its too easy. I won’t lie my cousin is nice, and she is very intelligent, while i’m not so nice, had worked the previous night and wanted to be left alone. Needless to say i have probably gotten rid of her for the next five years. By the end of it she said i was believing the party line? Which is something i don’t understand because i’m a democrat. Party line for me ” We’re going to spread happiness…we are going to spred freedom. Obama’s gonna change it.” And when she slammed Sarah palin, I simply asked her what most presidents were, and she was ticked when she had to say govenors. I would like to say i didn’t enjoy it but i did. All though later at the bat cave i found out I was PMSing. There goes the family reunion.

But what i notice anytime i do decided to mess with an obama supporter there is a serious problem with the way they think. For reasons beyond me. They can connect the dots, but they can quite see the picture when they’re done. OBama’s wasting of money in this country should be a huge red flag. and while i believe McCain could hit obama harder than he has been the truth is that JOhn McCain more than any other candidate is showing that you can create and have an effective campaign without spending a whole bunch of money. The only flaw I see in McCain is that he is honorable and believes in fair play and he refused to sqaush the cockroach that is obama when he could have. But if you wanted to ask me who has proven their ability to handle money, and cut unnessary spending in this entire campaign it’s JOhn McCain. Obama throwing a way millions is just a preview of what he will do if installed (and i do mean installed) as president. He always have his hand out, and once he gets in the white house it will say in your pockets. And i really dont believe it would even go to all the programs they say it will, I really believe he is going to be just like bush and redistribute the wealth into his pocket and the pocket of his friends.

      • Muppity

OBama’s wasting of money in this country should be a huge red flag.

That’s hilarious. It was McCain’s campaign that blew through all their money and ran out leaving him no choice but to fire his staff and limp his way to public financing.

      • Lindsy

Yet the responses I have gotten from people I know supporting Obama when this is brought up is it that it’s just the Republicans trying to smear Obama.

Everything McCain asks questions on is being sent as a message to America that he is negatively campaigning and using smear tactics. While the press and most of America ignores the facts that is Obama who is moreso using these tactics.

There was an article last week that stated Obama is spending 32 million a week in negative ads and 5 million last Sunday alone.

This has changed our political landscape forever. Whoever can spend a billion dollars will win the Presidency.

        • Muppity

Whoever can spend a billion dollars will win the Presidency.

Yes, the Republican position is that there can be no limit on the money because it is “speech” and therefore protected by the constitution.

          • fif

Then maybe Obama should stoop being such a hypocrite and “whining” about all the negative campaigning from the McCain camp. He did the same thing to Hillary all through the primaries, playing the innocent victim, and stabbing the opponent in the back using the very tactics he cries about. It’s a tactic: you’re either using “old politics” and “negative” or you are racist. It’s tired.

  • Lindsy

I still want to know where Obama is coming up with this kind of money. Our economy is supposed to be in a financial crisis but people can afford to give $150 million to a politican. They said 630,000 new donors average gift $86. Political candidates should be capped at what they are allowed to spend. This pretty much guarentees that no candidate will ever take public funding again.

    • wodiej

he’s getting some of it from overseas and I suspect fradulently. There is no way he could be spending all of that w small donors.

Obama’s campaign doesn’t report any donations under $200. And no one is calling him on this or holding him accountable.

It’s just hard to fathom that an unknown candidate could raise this kind of unprecedented funds while the DNC struggles.

Something is rotten in Denmark. But Obama gets away with everything so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised.

      • Muppity

he’s getting some of it from overseas and I suspect fradulently.

Just making things up on the fly are we?

        • Indyvoter

Hillary was outspent 5 to 1 in states likes Ohio and PA and Texas and she still won. I’m in NC and I hate to see Obama’s ugly lying, flip-flopping mug. Worse than putting up with Bush.

He represents the worst of America.

        • fif

Where have you been? They have found numerous cases of fraudulent contributions to the Obama campaign. $200 million of donations are unaccounted for, and every penny that’s been given to the McCain campaign is accounted for. Remember the two Hamas brothers that were discovered making contributions, and then when confronted, the Obama campaign said they returned it, but the brothers were contacted and it was never returned. Credit card charges to the Obama campaign are showing up on people’s statements without their consent. There are numerous examples, but you’re an Obot, so something simple like real facts are irrelevant.

  • Shiloh

Obama is getting a great deal of money from the middle east.

    • Muppity

Obama is getting a great deal of money from the middle east.

Why? Just because you say so? How about a source.

  • Lindsy

The question is will anyone care enough to make him prove it? Or will he get away with it? Cause so far he’s the teflon man.

Fox news just reported that Obama’s campaign has hired a special prosecutor to handle ACORN.

    Is he getting nervous?

  • ACPD

This is why I left the Democratic Party. This is why I refuse to support Obama. He has NEVER repudiated the sexism. His supporters whine and defend every little criticism of him, but nothing has ever been said about him that comes close to the violent and hostile language against Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin. (Can you imagine what the reaction to an Obama turkey baster would be in contrast to the Clinton nutcracker!)They even went after Geraldine Ferraro when she tried to speak her mind. The fact that feminists like Gloria Steinem and Namoi Wolf don’t see this, only proves their lack of committment to ALL women. I am outraged by their shallowness and I feel betrayed by them and the Democratic Party. I never believed in NOW, so I’m not surprised by them….

    • fif

Well said. Let’s not forget the “99 problems and a b*tch ain’t one,” at Obama’s rally and in NC when he brushed her off his shoulder like a spec of dirt, referencing JZ, and “give a finger to the law,” scratching his cheek with his middle finger. He said she gets angry “periodically when she is feeling down,” and her “claws come out.” He called a reporter “sweetie” when she asked him a political question and was offering women “kisses” for their votes in PA. He thinks women need to talk to various people (spouse, clergy, family etc.) to make a decision about their own bodies. He has fewer women on his staff, and pays them less than McCain. His arrogant, condescending, and disrespectful attitude, and more importantly his SILENCE re: his vulgar supporters’attitudes toward women speaks for itself. He is supposed to be a “leader?” Did he ever ONCE say that kind of criticism/slander is inappropriate or unacceptable? No, just like the race-baiting, because he felt it gave him leverage. Lead by example? Hardly.

  • Marisol

I can not believe the absolute garbage coming from this site. Hate, support violence, you people need to read some of this sh*t like an outsider would. I’ve been here since the first days and the deterioration is unbelievable. Actually, this site has finally convinced me to vote for Hillary’s party. Lunatic supporters of McCain/Palin – which you have become – give me a real idea of live dealing with these two twits.

    • Indyvoter

      Follow her example of humiliation.

    • Susan

Did you catch Howard Stern’s show in which Obama supporters were asked if they had problems with Obama’s XYZ positions (where XYZ were positions opposite from what Obama’s positions really were), and they said they had no problems?

      Talk about twits…

  • Lindsy

Powell just endorsed Obama on Meet The Press on the grounds that Gov. Palin is “not ready.”

How can pundits continue to say this with one breath and then in another breath say that a freshman senator is ready?

It’s just hypocritical and completely pathetic.

The Dems better not ever run another Governor for President because Governors after all are not ready.

    • requiredreading

Oh, and is this the same Colin Powell who lied through his teeth about WMD in Iraq at the UN Security Council meeting? I liked and respected Powell until I saw footage of his talk and you could actually see on his face and in his movements that he knew damn well that he was “stretching the truth.”

So, I guess in his book, “being ready” means being ready to lie, cheat, and steal in order to get in and stay into power. If that’s the case, then I completely agree – Obama is more than “ready.”

If, however, being ready means having had actual legislative and executive experience, with the track records to prove it, along with the character and humility necessary to assume the highest political office in the U.S. — then McCain/Palin is the only way to go.

      I am a well-educated, female, Hillary-voting, former life-long Democrat who has a multi-cultural family and I approve this ad.

  • LizfromFL

OT, I live in the Tampa Bay area and a McCain/Palin supporter had his car damaged to the tune of $4000 including an American flag burned on the back of the car.

Police: Lexus vandalized because of McCain sticker

CLEARWATER — Police say someone scratched “KKK” into a Lexus, urinated on it, lit an American flag on fire and burned cigarettes into the car because it sported a bumper sticker supporting Sen. John McCain for president.

“Change we can believe in” If this is any indication, I shudder to think what the next four years will be like if he wins. No one will be able to say a word to criticize the President of the United States. Good-bye free speech.

  • Lindsy

If the GOP have any dirt left now would be the optimum time to release it…………

Now that women are “fair game” in this country, we need to make some changes, and I mean that seriously!
Since an older women was hit with a bat, during a mugging, on her way to work, I “beefed up” my personal security!
We plan to insist that our grand-daughters take a self defense class.
My spouse is licensed to carry, and I may join him soon!
We have spent years in a peaceful, friendly neighborhood, but those days are becoming extinct!
When leadership is in the gutter, the gutter snipes come out to play! Make them PAY!

  • Alice Paul WPB

Colin Powell whom I respect immensly has endorsed BO.

I dont get it. Maybe Im just buying into fear regarding BO. But I dont think so. Everything that I have researched scares me to death.

But if someone like Powell can trust him I dont get it!

You own your vote. Trust your own instincts!

    • HC

It is probably a race based decision.

His “Palin doesnt have enough experience to be VP” argument is complete BS, and one used by people who feel like voting Obama “just because”. I have heard it before.

A real shame, I was hoping we wouldn’t get another example of racism being OK in America.

    • McHope

      whom I respect immensly

Everyone seems to feel the need to defend Colin Powell with this qualifing statement.
He has just endorsed a candidate that represents the exact opposite of every policy, Foreign or domestic, he has ever held.
He was directly responsible for sending us to a war Obama swears he always rejected.
He is one who has waged the over all war against terror, yet Bill Ayers is just okey dokey with him, and by extension Dorhn who has mde the great accomplishment of making the FBIs most wanted list.
Would he feel differently if he were in this Nation’s Capitol when Ayers detonated his BOMB?
He stood on television today and whined that McCain has called Obama Muslin, which is patently false…McCain never said that.
Powell is seemingly not concerned that Obama used taxpayer money to fund his trip to Kenya to support the efoorts of his cousin to impose Sharia Law and commit a genocidal murderous rampage.
Colin Powell is not to ‘respected’.
Content of character comes to mind…..
He and Oprah could use a lesson or two on the subject.

Furthermore, does no one see the pattern exhibited by Obama once again? How many times does he have to slip in the polls, pull a ‘fake’ rock concert and drop some ‘big’ endorsement?
He is a pathetic, manipulative SOB…God help all those who pay the price because of those weak enough to be fooled by him.

      • fif

I wonder what Obama promised him?

        • Ciardha

That he wouldn’t have his surrogates call him a “race traitor” and an “Uncle Tom”

      • oowawa

Yes. Colin Powell lost all credibility when he became W’s stooge and told a series of baldfaced lies on national television about Sadaam’s WMD stockpiles. HE DECEIVED US! The Precious is welcome to his endorsement.

I am sad to say that I feel race relations in this country will be turned back by a generation no matter who wins the election. At the beginning of the primaries I wrote Rep. John Lewis and begged him to use his influence to stop the Obama campaign from playing the race card. (The Clintons and Geraldine Ferraro are not racist and said nothing during the primaries that is racist. Racism is making decisions and taking actions–both negative and positive–based solely on the color of a person’s skin. It is not racist to disagree with a person of a different race; and it is a sacrilige that demeans the sacrifices of great Americans, like Martin Luther King and civil rights workers, to do so.) I have worked my entire life for equal rights for ALL people–regardless of color, gender or ethnic background–and yet, when I wrote a letter disagreeing with Obama, I got a harassing call at my home, calling me a racist. It was from a young, white male; and I didn’t feel it was a call about race, so much as a call about power and hostility against women. But race relations will suffer, because of it and similar actions.

We have a lot of unresolved problems between the races, but this campaign has done nothing to move us in a positive direction toward such a resolution. Obama and his campaign have used race to win support from black voters and radical liberals at the cost of offending and alienating those of us in the middle. I can tell you that I will not feel so willing to fight for affirmative action and other similar programs now that I have been treated with so little respect and neighborliness….Don’t blame McCain and Palin for this mess. What goes around does come around!

  • yttik

Colin Powell is simply going to hold up Obama like he did that little vial of yellow powder. Apparently he’s become really good at selling lies to America. So what’s in the little vial this time, Obama’s qualifications?

Leaders lead, they set the tone. Obama has led us down a path of misogyny and racial disharmony. Behavior comes from the top down and never once has Obama denounced the sexism or spoken out on behalf of women.

I had no problem voting for McCain/Palin after 30 yrs as a Dem. In fact, voting never felt so darn good.

  • http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/ Not Your sweetie

Sorry, but she didn’t go far enough. B0 osn’t merely “giving permission” – he’s been sexist himself
    http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/06/29/obama-was-never-sexist/

  • AnninCA

I only heard Obama say one thing to his followers, “Now, be nice to Hillary supporters.” That was the embarassing Democratic “UNITY” rally in which his supporters booed at her name.

Bruce is right. He stimulated the misogyny (and the racism).

  • http://mybluecountry.googlepages.com/whattheobamademocratsaresayingposter Linda

yep, he did. And I still remember that that middle finger salute he made when referring to Hillary.

Gee, didn’t we see another inexperienced, charismatic, drug abuser narcissist like to use that kind of messaging?

yep W and Barry, 2 peas in a pod.

  • Wisewoman

Fif and Linda: Those are not the only disgusting things said during his campaign. I waited for Obama to put a lid on his followers. However he was just as bad as they were.

I am a 63-year-old black female Hillary supporter with 37 and 27 yr old daughters who keep me up-to-date on rap. Take note of this: During the primary campaign to cheers at a rally in Atlanta, Obama referenced the rapper Lil Wayne as follows: “maybe you are the next Lil Wayne, but probably not, in which case you need to stay in school”. Now he could have used any rapper as an example but he chose Lil Wayne. Why? May be the following lyrics from his hit song explains why and why the young rap loving crowd laughed and cheered so wildly:

    “I get on top
She drop it like it’s hot
And when I’m at the bottom
    She be Hillary Rodham”

HE’S A SICKO AND AN A**HOLE AND NOT FIT TO BE POTUS
