Statements are invalid, in a court of law. Obama is required to surrender a legitimate copy of his birth certificate. If Hawaii has them they would have no problem releasing one for the courts.

Speaking of brief, NBC has put up the also brief but longer than the closing) SNL Backstage video which features Palin. It shows what it looked like from the inside, with the camera folks shooting the scenes we saw, Baldwin waiting across the hall for his cue to enter the scene, and some of the offstage stuff preceding what was broadcast.

Watching Palin look over at Tina Fey who looked over and smiled, started to go over but checked herself, I think that Casey Wilson was making sure Palin wasn’t totally avoided by the cast, which she was, otherwise. Very awkward of them. I think they were wary of seeming to give ‘approval’ (considering so many Obama supporters were railing against SNL on Huffington Post afterward for allowing her time.

That Weekend skit was a riot.

As I understand it, true feminists don’t support Palin because they don’t believe rape victims should have to carry the baby to term, and should be offered to have a rape analysis done at the taxpayers costs (since taxes are what we pay for a civilized society, and if you were raped then society owes you one). Perhaps it’s time to apprise you all of the fact that the kneejerk rejoinder “mindless obamabot” is an ironic source of some amusement to those of us who dissent.

You see, in mindlessly parroting this unoriginal and oft-repeated appellation which you once saw written somewhere else, you are exhibiting nothing so much as purely robotic behavior.

Rush Limbaugh fans, called “dittoheads” for this reason– and proud of it, man– don’t get it either.

Palin draws big ratings for ‘Saturday Night Live’

NEW YORK – The entertainment summit of the season _ Sarah Palin and her impersonator, Tina Fey _ earned “Saturday Night Live” its best ratings in 14 years. But if you blinked, you might have missed it.

Fey was answering questions at a news conference, something Palin hasn’t done yet as the Republican vice presidential nominee, when Palin walked on the stage. Fey beat a hasty retreat in the opening segment, walking past the real Palin with a barely perceptible nod.

If anyone was hoping for a side-by-side photo of the identically dressed women, they were out of luck.

Palin’s guest shot, widely anticipated since Fey began imitating her a month ago, led “Saturday Night Live” to its highest mark in overnight Nielsen Media Research ratings since March 1994, when assaulted skater Nancy Kerrigan was guest host.

Although a complete audience estimate for the rest of the country won’t be available until later in the week, it is likely to be around 14 million.

What’s wrong with this is his secrecy and covering up his true history. His educated, elite followers would no doubt understand and approve of his applying and registering for college as a Kenyan citizen, while others would wonder why he felt he had to keep it a secret and go to great lengths to cover it up.

Uhhhhhh, yeah.

Look, Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. His birth certificate is on file there. It has been posted on his website and elsewhere. The State of Hawaii has issued a statement affirming that he was in fact born in Hawaii and is an American citizen.

This won’t make any difference to you, will it?

No, I agree actually. It’s hard to change things back to the way they were in the past–where politics and entertainment didn’t get into bed, so to speak, with each other.

It’s because of the great changes in the media that have occurred since I was a young girl, propped up on the bumper of my dad’s ’53 Chevy, listening to him talking politics with my uncles.
