The Cuda Takes Down the Gaffer

Despite the mainstream media’s persistent drum beat that Sarah Palin is a moron and not mentally competent to be President on day one, the girl keeps showing up and demonstrating that she has a presence and competence that frankly surpasses the three other dudes in the race. Here she is goofing on both Obama and Biden:

Best of all, she demonstrates she can count to five. Barack? He doesn’t know we have 50 states. Meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to believe that J-O-B-S is a three letter word. That is hilarious.

  • Sarracuda In So Cal

SARAH IS SO AWESOME!! I loved Crisis #5, the fact that Biden can’t keep his trap shut LOL LOL

  • bemused

Sigh. It’s only hilarious if you aren’t a woman–but with enough Sarahs, maybe it will become accepted.

  • barrybarrybad

The irony is rich. Palin, the supposed moron, probably is the only one of the four main contenders who can speak more than five minutes without making a fucking idiot out of herself. We all know Obama is a dreadful lightweight who reveals his inner man child every time the teleprompter goes down. Biden is…well, priceless. And McCain would bore the dead.

Although I remain a very disgruntled Democrat, I wish Palin a successful future. My dream would be her in the Senate railing on the inadequacies of former junkie and permanent fool Obama every day of the four years he disgraces that office.

  • Pennsylvania goes RED!

I heard on the radio that Biden “took a break from the campaign” today and also won’t release his medical records.

  • Bell’Artista

    I LOVE Sarah!
She’s right there, she’s smart, she’s funny and fearless!
    No wonder ObamaWorld hates her

  • lisa in va

    Amen!

  • oowawa

Wow-great speech Sarah! That sure ain’t Tina Fey!

  • Tuppence 411

Sarah wins hands down. Even her Vermont Teddy Bear rocks better than the boys! “With hockey stick in hand, our specially designed Palin Bear is ready to put her country first and fight for reform, prosperity, and peace, wearing a power red suit, glasses, tiara, and a Palin/McCain ’08 campaign button (yes, her name is on top). She also carries a briefcase with lipstick and baby bottle stashed inside.”

  • I have a bracelet 2

sarah is a quick study. in the first 2 weeks she was not up to all the info and intricacies of this campaign. but in almost 2 months she has an easiness of waving campaign vernacular with policies, references and always brings up mccain in a great light. eloquence?!

she just has flair for it.

  • IndayHill

Senator John McCain & Gov. Sarah Palin will lead this great nation to victory, come November 4, 2008 !!!Country First !!!

Sen. Biden, thanks for WARNING us, Americans, for the disaster America will get from international countries, should your idol Obama occupies (by cheating) the WH.You even said: “Mark my words, in 6 months next year, this will happen.”

Biden’s conscience got to him (maybe, voice of guilt?)

    Vote: McCain/Palin ’08

  • http://firefox McAnnie Carmel Baracuda

I’d love to see Biden and Murtha share the same stage. Now, that would be worthy of a SNL skit.

As for Sarah, she’s fantastic! I don’t want her in the Senate. I want her to be the best Vice President we’ve seen in our time. And after that, I want her to run for President. She’ll be able to state her case straight across by then rather than responding with sarcasm to the mega attacks on her. She has the presence and command to do it. Go McCain/Palin!

  • Uña de Gato

That speech had more substance and more sarcasm in it than anything SNL ever dreamed up. I pray daily that McCain and Palin win, I could not stand to see the dour, self-righteous Obama and the brain addled Biden for the next four years.

  • Hope is the last to die

Palin really is getting better by the day. She’s got my full confidence.

  • Uña de Gato

    LOL, that is classic!

  • workingclass artist

Excellent Larry…You Rock!…Palin Rocks! How can anyone not like her…She so smart in a scrappy fearless way…
Biden did let reporters study his medical records and like McCain let them go over them but not copy them…Just tryin to be clear.
    Also McCain’s records were I think 1100 pages worth…That’s disclosure…Barky? a brief one page summary from a doctor…SHEEESH!

Obama better prepare to be stiking….

Michelle Obama tapes’ imminent release approaching: API in a serious negotiation with FOX NEWS on the best way forward
API has an ongoing discussion with FOX NEWS on the best way forward in the process of releasing Michelle Obama tapes to the American people.

API hopes the negotiation will be completed as soon as possible so that the tapes can be made available to FOX NEWS in the next few days and specifically before the voting day – the 4th of November.

API will make use of Legal Representation in the US when finalising the hand-over of the tapes and on any legal matters that may arise after the contents of the tapes become public.

We want to thank all our readers – those who have managed to be patient and also those who have exhibited total impatience. We assure them that an agreement will be reached soon between API and FOX NEWS one way or another, so that API fulfills the promise it gave to the readers.

The important thing we want the readers to know is how the tapes will be handled once it finally leaves API’s custody. API has confidence in FOX NEWS and will allow them to decide whether the tapes will be aired in full, edited or unedited. Once the tapes are released to FOX NEWS as per agreement that will be arrived at between the parties, API believes that FOX NEWS is competent enough to decide on how to proceed in handling the tapes because – better than us in API – they know what is best for the American listeners.

Some may not understand why this has taken long to accomplish. Sensitive issues requires careful steps so that nobody gets hurt in the process. People have questioned why the delay. API wanted to take time and make a good choice on the way forward and we can now happily say we are on the right track and hopefully you do not have to wait for long before your wishes are fulfilled.

Now that the release of the tapes is imminent, as soon as an agreement is reached, API hopes that those who finally gets access to its contents will use them wisely, in a way that brings the American people closer to one another despite their political allienation and to be above racial behaviour and work together for a better United American Nation. API does not wish to see the information from the tapes being misused by those who may wish to satisfy their own interests and achieve a particular aim.

The release of the tapes will take place without costs to any one. The negotiation between API and FOX NEWS bears no sign of money involved and that has been API’s wish all along.

    Subject: Audio Tape

Hi Will: I have been in contact with the African Press International, who ran the Michelle Obama story. I have talked to them about releasing the audio tape they have of her. It would appear that this is going to happen. The format will be, I will bring the reporter on and let them tell us how they obtained the tape, and then I will run the audio tape, and bring the reporter back on to verify that it is the real thing. Once I have this done, I will place it on my web site, file for and get a copyright on it. Once I have this done, I will contact you with the link. What I would like for you, since you live in Washington DC, to do is contact CNN, Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC and MSNBC. Let them listen to the audio tape. I will then take bid on this tape. The starting bid will be 2 million dollars. Once you have received the high bid, we will break the money down this way, 45% to Bar H Farms Inc, parent copy of Plains Radio network, 45% to African Press International and 10% for yourself. If you can do this, please call me at 806-447-[XXXX]. Thanks Ed

    Default is a good thing.

    Important Update:

Obama Should Immediately Withdraw his Candidacy for President

For Immediate Release: – 10/21/08 – Complete contact details and a pdf are at the end of this article

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania ?” 10/21/08) – Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and tbe DNC “ADMITTED”, by way of failure to timely respond to Requests for Admissions, all of the numerous specific requests in the Federal lawsuit. Obama is “NOT QUALIFIED” to be President and therefore Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Berg stated that he filed Requests for Admissions on September 15, 2008 with a response by way of answer or objection had to be served within thirty [30] days. No response to the Requests for Admissions was served by way of response or objection. Thus, all of the Admissions directed to Obama and the DNC are deemed “ADMITTED.” Therefore, Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President.

    Palin in ’12, Biden never.

George Will and the rest of the pompous self-inflated assholes in the media who sarcastically criticized McCain choice can kiss my ass.

When you have her kind of spirit and intelligence, a person can make sound judgements after listening to the old and wise. Do you think the asshole Obama wouldn’t need that? Do you think even the goofy sot-ridden, ‘experienced’ Obiden wouldn’t be seeking input from the more knowledgeable.

So what’s the difference between these three? Palin is the only one that can be trusted, has not used drugs nor alcohol to get her through life. Hard work, dedication and love of family are and always have been her companions.

You say Biden is a family man? Yeah, that’s right. He USEDhis son as a pimp would when he had Larry Sinclair arrested by the lad. What a family that must be!

Its no contest PALIN IS MORE QUALIFIEDand better suited for POTUS than either of the two jokers, ‘bama and Obiden.

  • marisa

    Sarah rocks!

If you believed the SNL skits and the MSM, you’d think she was the female version of Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade, and then you see her speak, and it’s like BAM! She nails it!

Did you all see her on CNN, she ROCKED. Called out the media, said “Can you imagine if I had said that, I would have been clobbered” I tell ya, the second I saw her with John McCain, the day he selected her, I KNEW she was something special, and when I saw her at the RNC delivering that speech, I turned to my Mom and said “You’ve just been touched by an angel” She is just amazing, she is smarter then Obama, a HELL OF A LOT SMARTER THEN THAT IDIOT Biden, and if she ran against McCain, he would be sweatin bullets right now. One day you will all be saying PRESIDENT PALIN

So, Sarah, a strong, respected woman makes fun of the sonsofbitches and the best attitude you can pump out is a sigh…
    Bemused,
I am the father of three Extremely strong women. Any one of the three is fully capable of doing anything, anywhere, and better than nearly anyone else around them. You say that wussy, woe-is-me-I’m-a-poor-downtrodden-woman shit around any of them and they’ll eat your heart. If you feel weak and ineffective it is only because that’s the path you chose.
    I am an Alpha Male…
The women in my household all know how to stand up for themselves and can do that BY themselves. Their ace in the hole is that they know I will destroy anything which harms them.
There are men in this world who firmly believe in women’s rights and they don’t have to be sissies or Beta’s to do so.
To baldly assert that your “plight” is one you can’t overcome is surrender. Stop praying for somebody else to stand up for you. C’mon, you have more starch than that.
Start walkin’ the right talk. Anytime you get that thought process going where you feel victimized, you need to tell yourself that it was the last time, And Mean It.
Sarah Palin is doing more for women right now than the Democratic Party has done since the Civil War.
I admire the living daylights out of her…

Biden released his records but there was nothing regarding his brain aneurysm. McCain has allowed inspection of more than 1000 pages of his medical records and Obama has offered a 1 1/2 page doctors note, that read in part Dear America, Please excuse Barack for trying to become President, his ears are bigger than his brain.

If this turns out to be verbatim retelling of the conversation, it will be from either someone claiming to be Michelle or the woman herself in a “plausible deniability” “foreigner English” disguise.

“African Press International is supposed to support Africans and African-American view,” she reportedly said. “It is strange that API has chosen to support the racists against my husband. There is no shame in being adopted by a stepfather. All dirt has been thrown onto my husband’s face and yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husband’s adoption by his stepfather. The important thing here is where my husband’s heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people that my husband loves this country and his adoption never changed his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted by a foreigner.”

Can someone tell me how the below are even natural English phrasings ?

“All dirt has been thrown onto” … XYX’s face
“Gives him all the right to be a citizen”
    “American white racists”
    “Africans and African-American view,”

MO is a highly polished professional and political wife, she knows what she’s doing. For her to pepper a rant with hot-button code words like “racist,” “stepfather,” “adoption,” and “citizen” on the eve of a winning candidacy to a fringe media outlet would be COMPLETELY out of character.

Go back and compare the above with any speech or interview ever published. This entire text is stylistically and linguistically glaringly off key.

This would be ‘Breaking News’ if anyone actually cared about Joe Biden.

So we have the lot of them (Obama & Biden) taking ‘a couple of days off’. One scurrying to Hawaii and the other…reassessing his security clearance. (If Biden told the whole world about a security briefing he should lose his clearance.

Incidentally, who pinch his for the nominee and his running mate in the final days of campaigns?

“What a long, strange trip its been”.

  • beebop

Can’t you just imagine how they would have discredited Powell if he had endorsed McCain? He would have had to have the courage of say, Tavis Smiley to endorse McCain. And what did he get? Two days of media attention and a bump up in inquiries for speaking engagements. So much for integrity. But, as you pointed out, he parted company with his concious when he sat in front of the microphone at the UN!

  • Uña de Gato

I wonder if Biden was trying to blink “Save Me” to his audience when he blabbed out what was probably the security briefing he received from Bush. Loose lips sink ships, and Biden is definitely telegraphing something with those comments. Powell said pretty much the same thing in his ass-kissing session on MTP. WTF!!!

  • Kal

You are right! Complex, great buildup, stayed within what is already on the record, and great punch line! And great emotional/intellectual connection throughout. A terrific job!

All along they were supporting McCain over Obama. To have people coming out and asking me and searching for alies is so interesting – Democrats voting for McCain. I do not see Obama winning in a couple of weeks – I actually now see him losing no matter what the media and the polls say.

Biden’s gaffe was paragraphs long. He even guaranteed it. Then he sees the press in the back and says, ‘maybe I shouldn’t have said that’.

What kind of spin do you put on that: a reverse, double back flip, pike position with solid entry.
If you can spin this you get a PERFECT 10.

Sadly, can’t blame Biden because has had neurological ‘problem’: brain surgery – twice. Which begs the question is this man fit to be in office let alone a vice presidential nominee.

  • Ferd McBerfle

You weren’t born stupid or have it thrust upon you. No, you achieved it all by yourself. Good for you, drip.

  • OBAMA IS A FRAUD

LMFAO Jack. Troll much? Palin is amazing. She makes Obama look like a two year old spoiled little child playing dress up in a politician’s suit. She’s GOING to be POTUS some day. Period. I knew about her long before the ignorant left missed the boat on predicting her as a choice. Poor liberal wing nuts. They didn’t see the ‘Cuda coming and now they’re mad. Oh well. Good luck with that. America isn’t stupid. And it’s not Cuba. Therefore Obama can swiftboat himself back to Senate and do some work. You know, a J-O-B, instead of acting like a kid in the candy store spending trillions of the taxpayers’ money on nonsense.

Let’s not go overboard PC, folks. I seriously doubt it is the intention of any regular here, especially Larry, to use words that minimize females compared to males. What variants are we allowed to use? Only “woman” if she’s over a certain age?

I took this as a sign of affection, as most of us use it. Girls night out. Girl talk. I think girl is a perfectly fine word. Let’s not turn “girl” into a taboo word, please.

As far as I know, the only time we’re not allowed to use “boy” is if referring to an AA, which I think is almost so out-dated, it’s sometimes permissable again, in proper context.

    Larry, Susan,
I apologize -this is OT BUT VERY IMPORTANT.
I posted on earlier NQ thread-not sure if you guys saw it.

This needs to be investigated further.

NQ blogger provided this link to a newspaper in Hawaii that quotes Sen Obama’s great uncle (who lives in Chicago) as the uncle is explaining the condition of Sen Obama’s grandmother to the media.

Using leads in that article I researched the great uncle’s name. If this is the same guy-then there has been WAY TOO LITTLE INVESTIGATIVE WORK done on Sen Obama’s mother’s side of the family.

Take a look at this guy’s background. IS THIS CHARLES PAYNE THE SAME CHARLES PAYNE REFERRED TO IN THE HAWAII NEWSPAPER?

    IF SO…then Houston…we have a problem.

    http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/20081021/BREAKING01/81021027

I am stunned…absolutely stunned…that this has not been brought out in public yet…

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_M._Payne

    Charles M. Payne

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Charles M. Payne, Jr. is an American academic whose areas of study include civil rights activism, urban education reform, social inequality, and modern African-American history.

    Education and Career

Charles Payne received a Bachelor’s Degree in Afro-American studies from Syracuse University in 1970 and a Ph.D in sociology from Northwestern University in 1976[1]. He has held professorial positions and endowed chairs at numerous American institutions, among them Southern University, Williams College, Haverford College, Northwestern, Duke University, where he held the Sally Dalton Robinson Chair for Teaching Excellence, and the University of Chicago, where he is currently the Frank P. Hixon Distinguished Service Professor in the School of Social Service Administration[2].

Payne has also been active in the creation and direction of several organizations intended to address issues of social justice. He is the founding director of the Urban Education Project in Orange, N.J., a community-based effort to provide advanced career training for local youth. While at Duke, he co-founded the John Hope Franklin Scholars, a program that helps Durham-area high schoolers prepare for and apply to college[3]. His other projects have included the Duke Curriculum Project, the Education for Liberators Network, and work with the Chicago Algebra Project and the Committee for the Consortium on Chicago School Research.

Payne was an outspoken advocate of the controversial Education Buyout Initiative[4]. EBI would have paid underachieving students to leave school and to enter the workforce. This would have allowed teachers to focus their attention on higher-level students while allowing the others to make their future now.

He is currently in the process of publishing So Much Reform, So Little Change (Harvard Education Publication Group) and an anthology about the African-American tradition of education for liberation entitled Teach Freedom (Teacher’s College Press)

What Biden said was not a gaff. Read it all. It was well thought out.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”

“I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it,” the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. “This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”

“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”

Biden emphasized that the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border is of particular concern, with Osama bin Laden “alive and well” and Pakistan “bristling with nuclear weapons.”

“You literally can see what these kids are up against, our kids in that region,” Biden said in recalling when his helicopter was forced down due to a snowstorm there. “The place is crawling with al Qaeda. And it’s real.”

“We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes,” he cautioned. “It’s so much more important than that. It’s so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it.”

After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.

“I probably shouldn’t have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here,” he joked.

Do gaffs go on for “just over a quarter hour?

Barky’s campaign is an overall system of tactics…Most of these audacious to the point of engendering mass denial in much of the american psyche. Similar to Nixon and how long it took American Psyche to get over the denial.
Nixon’s corruption was so deep Americans have very little trust in any politician…Nobody liked NIXON…But nobody thought he’d stoop so low either…And it was at the end of Vietnam, Kennedy, etc…I saw it in the faces of the grownups I knew…We were one tired and hurt country after all that…imho…
The only potection we had was a fearless and free press which has been replaced by Blogs such as this one…But not everyone has access to the net…Not the access you need to be as informed as possible and Barky exploits this…

Palin’s a very good public speaking. Never monotone or boring. Sometimes, she speaks too fast, but this speech was delivered just right. In interviews, she seemed less at ease (probably because the interviwers were usual jerks), but as VP or even President, good public speaking skills are vital. Bush lacks it, and BO’s skills are hyped up by the media. And lately, McCain is doing better in his speeches, so maybe Palin is having a good effect on him.

He’s the one that sold the war, don’t make excuses either he had access to all the intelligence available now didn’t he?? Clinton and McCain on the other hand didn’t have the access he had when they voted. They trusted his judgment and Obamabots slam them for it every chance they get.

He has recently endorsed Ted Stevens of Alaska, yep that Ted Stevens the one under indictment. He said the best word to describe Stevens’ reputation was sterling.

You want to tout this man’s judgment?? I say no thanks Colin, America can do without any more of your judgment buddy! Honestly, really THINK about where this man’s judgment has taken this country and the kind of people his judgment has led him to support. Open your eyes, stop and THINK!

that is the part that I read that caused me to start investigating…UNIVERSITY LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR…

The word UNIVERSITY clicked in my head.

A good journalist would have asked Sen Obama’s great uncle a followup question such as: What university did you work for? Was that the last official position you held at the University before you retired or were you responsible for other duties too?

After all…this is THE POSSIBLE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE USA’S GREAT UNCLE THAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.

    http://www.ssa.uchicago.edu/faculty/cmpayne.shtml

The photo in the UC website next to the name Charles M Payne is that of an African American gentleman.

Read further into his bio on the UC website:

    An excerpt:

“Payne has been a member of the Board of the Chicago Algebra Project, of the Steering Committee for the Consortium on Chicago School Research, the Research Advisory Committee for the Chicago Annenberg Project, the editorial boards of Catalyst, the Sociology of Education and Educational Researcher”

He currently serves on the Board of MDRC, the editorial board of High School Journal, and the advisory board for Teacher College Press’ series on social justice. He is the co-founder of the Duke Curriculum Project, which involves university faculty in the professional development of public school teachers and also co-founder of the John Hope Franklin Scholars, which tries to better prepare high school youngsters for college. He is among the founders of the Education for Liberation Network, which encourages the development of educational initiatives that encourage young people to think critically about social issues and understand their own capacity for addressing them; i.e., freedom schools, social justice schools, rites of passage programs and so on.

How COINCIDENTAL IS THAT??? Sounds like he may have run into Sen Obama & Bill Ayers a lot as they probably gravitated in the same circles in Chicago.

I am speculating here but…I MUST ask…so I can put it to rest…

What do we know about Sen Obama’s grandmother’s racial/ethnic family background?

The Precious has big troubles and not where people think.

    October 21, 2008

It is clear to me the distinct possibility key Democrats are trying to sabotage The Precious’ run for the presidency. Where’s the evidence? Try this on for size:

Biden’s latest remarks on The Precious being tested by foreign interests in the beginning of his theoretical presidency. Murtha calling his own constituents racists, apologizing for it and AGAIN sticking his foot in it by calling some Pennsylvanians “rednecks.” Barney Frank all but assuring of a tax increase under The Precious. Thinking back a bit, there was Wes Clark self destructing and getting disinvited to the convention. Although not a Democrat, the Colin Power endorsement in my view completes the circle linking The Precious to the same power structure that brought us Bush and the Iraq war, thus doing more harm to The Precious than good. Then there is Bill Clinton and his carefully crafted subliminal remarks.

Bloggers are well aware of The Precious’ past and I find it safe to assume Biden, Frank, Murtha and Clark know all about him as well.

Start digging around, I bet you will find more sabotage occurring. Clearly us bloggers know what a disaster The Precious will be as president and we most likely have some foxes in The Precious’ hen house. The foxes must also resent how The Precious and DNC treated Hillary in the primary. I know we do!

I’d agree. There seems to be some sort of tacit code going on with Biden.. Clinton’s candidate Y and candidate X was another one.

Orange pantsuits and orange ties=PUMA colors.

While the PUMA connection may be a stretch, the Biden one is closer to the mark of someone or persons who are reaching out to the common sense of the American voter.

To those who believe this junk: just go back to their website and browse through the posts relating to the Michelle Obama tapes. Read the comments that people have posted. Note how at least 50% of them seem to have been written by the same guy posting with different names. Note how, even though they’re supposed to come from Americans who are “worried about their country,” they all read like they were written by an African who speaks in the distinctive way of Africans speaking English. It’s perhaps the most obvious scam I’ve ever seen and yet some people still place their hopes in it.

I think Obama’s doctor’s letter read something like this:
“Please excuse Barry from physical education today because he is not feeling well.”

  • socalannie

I’ve never understood why people have looked up to Powell. His judgement is terrible, and I wouldn’t trust anything he has to say. The dems that are thrilled with this endorsement look like idiots. These are the same bananabrains that hated Hillary for voting “for the war”. But they’re thrilled with Joe “Gift of Gaffe” Imbiben as vp & thrilled to have Powells endorsement. Utter hypocrisy.

I plan to vote tomorrow and will be casting a vote for McCain and Palin. She’s very impressive and its hard to believe that first couple of interviews is the same confident and self-assured person that is out there today. She’s fearless and a quick study and in my mind is far, far more qualified than Zero.
I’d love to sit down and share some coffee and conversation with her (Todd, too!)

Palin is great here. Very effective, straight, to the point and contrary to what the Obama campaign would have you believe, she knows who the players are and what the issues are. Period.

Does MO harbor the sentiments she’s accused of just below the surface such that they come up unintended as occasional gaffes ?

    Very possibly.

Is she likely to call an obscure foreign press agency and go off on these feelings in crude, stilted English three weeks before the election ?

    Not so much.

That started happening to me as well. Starting about 3 weeks ago, I can’t see CNN vids. I finally use Mozilla Firefox to see the CNN vids. I’ll get my dh to look at my computer this weekend & figure out what is going on.

Why he did it? I think Ferd is on the right track.

He has said in the past he would run with McCain because McCain would make a good president.

What worries me is if Biden and Obama win is- He is just as much a threat to our national security as Obama is.

Look it over again, he just invited an attack on America. With the two of them in the White House we don’t have a chance. Obama doesn’t know it, Biden runs at the mouth and says ““I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know,”

  • NoTrollZone

I predict Palin will be President of the United States and she will be a much, much better President than Reagan ever dreamed of being.

There is nothing wrong if you do not care for Gov. Sarah Palin. That is fine. We love her, you problem is that there are more of real men that are not afriad of a strong woman. Real men are for her.

You did the same thing to Sen. Hillary Clinton, and you even won’t let her be on the democrat ticket. Are you missing Sen. Hillary Clinton. Come on be a man and admit it. She is not on the ticket though.

So stop complaining, you(democrats and me)missed your chance. You are afriad of a strong woman, Gov. Sarah Palin. She is her to stay, so get use to it.

    It is McCain/Palin time.

  • 30yrdem-not any more

I love reading these kind of comments. This will be my first REP. vote for pres too.

  • Benjamin

Conscience? Nah. If you read all the remarks, he spent quite a bit of time bragging about his own foreign policy credentials before he literally dropped the bomb on Obama.

Biden was doing what Biden does best – puffing himself up in front of those donors. His message was simple: “Barack will be tested early, but fear not because I – Joe Biden – will be there to come to the rescue!”

  • Tversky

And they say Republicans engage in fear mongering. *rme*

I’d be more worried about Biden’s health with his history of aneurysims. (I wonder if they explain his bizarre need to embellish stories – not to mention outright lie.) Biden is supposed to comfort Obama supporters that are worried about Obama’s lack of experience in foreign affairs (well, lack of experience in everything really.)
Actually, Obama might be better off without Biden’s “help.” He’s been wrong almost more than he’s been right.

  • lisa in va

Why is this a game to you? Why is the choice of President a joke to you? How can any logical person look at the choice before us and pick Obama?

One day, when you grow up a bit, you’ll realize that you are not important. I’m not important. No individual here is important. What is important is the process. We can survive a bad president. We cannot survive a corrupted process. This process is a corrupted abomination. The media has failed to vet Obama. They have given him a free pass.

Most all of us here think Bush is an idiot. Contrary to what you think, most posters here are Democrats. But voting for Obama is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Its insane.

Its just sad to see so many people manipulated by the press. But not enough people to win. McCain will will this, hands down. Why? Because most Americans know a snake oil salesman when they see one. Once they get into the privacy of the polling booth and look at the names in front of them, I have confidence that they will choose what is best for their pocketbook, their family and their country. They will not vote for a Jr Senator from Illinois whos friends include terrorists, racists, muslim extremists ect… Overall just a group of negative haters.

Love that Sarah! Saw on another thread that even though McCain leads among White male Voters, he is still having trouble with White women. Obama leads by 1 percentage point among them. Ladies, what is up? You women should be seeing more of Sarah Palin in yourselves than Michelle Obama or Bernadette Dohrn. The sixties are over, and when Sarah says she is a Hockey Mom, it doesn’t take too much imagination to switch Baseball, Soccer, or Football for Hockey, does it?
It really looks like we know who it is we need to talk to in the next two weeks.
Joe The Plumber has sent a wake up call to lots of men, but what is it going to take to wake up the women? A lot of whom, I’m willing to bet supported Hillary.
Girls, The MEN in the Democratic Party ride the backs of women into their elected positions, and NEVER deliver for us. They could care less about our voice, or our concerns until they want to run for office again.
Power is what you have. 60% of the Democratic Party is made up of women…how many of those women ever stand a chance of getting to the top of the ticket? Shouldn’t there have been more than one?
Wake up, you will not be valued in an Obama administration. Your vote is only as powerful as you make it. When women learn to stop rewarding the Democrats with their automatic support, then maybe they will be treated with the respect they deserve.

  • Benjamin

Biden’s bloviation out of context? How so? I’ve heard all the comments – and the man “guaranteed” that young, 47 year old Obama, would be tested with an international crisis within the first six months, similar to way JFK was tested.

Now – you can give me your version of “What Biden Really Meant” – that he meant to say that ALL presidents are tested – but it simply doesn’t hold water since he compared the “young” Obama with the young JFK.

I seriously doubt that Iran, Russia or anybody else would be anxious to test John S. McCain, USN (Ret). Obamabots have worked hard to portray McCain as a “scary warmonger.” You can’t have it both ways now and say that McCain will be perceived by the world as weak and will want to test mettle.

  • Tversky

I definitely get the impression some of the young Obama supporters see this as a game. They want to win. That’s all.

The reason I’m so worked up about this election is because this is NOT a game to me. This is the future of our nation at stake and I just don’t trust Obama. There are too many unknowns. The media won’t vet him. The stuff we DO know about him is sketchy: He has a history of hanging out with people with no love or respect for our nation. He has no history of uniting people, accomplishing achievements other than academically or showing bravery or integrity. Throughout the primaries he made promises like filibustering FISA, accepting public campaign funding, pushing for a strict Iraq timetable, saying no to drilling etc. but then promptly changed his mind once he got the nomination. I could go on and on citing reasons I don’t trust Obama.

I’m not sure if he’s just a thin skinned narcissistic opportunist conman or a thin skinned narcissistic borderine socialist: If he’s the former I know he’ll blow witchever way the prevailing political winds blow. If he listens to Rubin and doesn’t implement his absurd economic policies we’ll be OK economically. But that’s a huge risk to take given the fact that he’s been playing the “rich are getting richer at your expense” line throughout the primaries. Alot of people stupidly WANT Obama to implement that tax policy because Obama has lied to them about their consequences (well, he might not realize how bad they are. He’s pretty dumb when it comes to economics). Plus he’s still a huge national security risk. (Just think of JFK and Kruschev or Jimmy Carter and Khomeini).

If he’s the latter (and actually implements his absurd tax policy) he’ll destroy entrepreneurship incentives, harm small businesses, ensure job loss and make the recession go on longer. Plus, he’ll have the added bonsus of being a national security risk.

The point is, Obama is a real threat to our nation’s future. This election not a game.

    nobonomo-

I have never seen a photo of Sen Obama’s great uncle.

That is why I am questioning the racial lineage of family members of Sen Obama’s maternal grandmother.

Does anyone have a link to a photograph of Sen Obama’s great uncle (Charles Payne) on his grandmother’s side?

The coincidence here is too uncanny.

Read Mr Payne’s bio that is posted on University of Chicago website-I provided link above in thread.

This Charles Payne worked on the Board of the Chicago Annenburg foundation. Now I learn that a man claiming to be Sen Obama’s great grandfather (as per this article in the Hawaii newspaper-see link above) who lives in Chicago is ALSO NAMED CHARLES PAYNE-???

Is this a cosmic joke or something?

I apologize for any inconvenience but I am only asking so many questions because our main stream media & the DNC have not asked ANY…

  • Angry GOPer

    First, I love Sarah Palin.

However, I do not think she is ready…..

Hear me out. I believe she was rushed into this position by McCain. He knew he was in trouble and needed to take a shot. Unfortunately, he may have wasted a viable candidate in the future. She was not ready for prime time. Can you imagine if she gave a prime time speech at the convention and then when back to Alaska? She could have prepared herself for the bright lights. She would be set up for 2012. She could have been 2012’s NoBama.

IMHO, it will take a miracle for Palin to win a national election in the future. She has become too divisive.

I fault McCain for this. I have given up hope that he will win this election. He has limited scenarios on how he can win this thing. Leaving Colorado, Iowa, Michigan and New Hampshire scares me. Even worse, he is a drag on other GOP candidates.
On November 4, it is my hope Palin comes through this ok.

  • AnninCA

Sarah is doing great. Biden muffed this so badly his campaign is denying he said it. *haha

  • AnninCA

I see nothing divisive about Sarah at all, other than she’s a conservative woman.

Nothing wrong with that. At least her cards are on the table. That beats the Obama camp.

  • AnninCA

    Really…that’s interesting info. Thanks

My birthday is ELECTION day. I will be voting McCain/Palin. It is the least I can do for my dear departed mother who would not go to the hospital to give birth to me UNTIL she went and voted for Dwight Eisenhower. I just hope I have as much luck with my vote as she did with hers. Voting was very important to her and my father. She took it so seriously that she almost didn’t make it to the hospital before I was born. WHAT a woman Sarah is. My mother would have loved this woman.

  • Tversky

Thanks for posting this. Governor Palin is one tough, smart cookie. I’m happy that some people are finally seeing it.

One thing that makes me sad about this election is the way so many “progressive” women have attacked Governor Palin. They’ve said she’s “not really a woman”, have mocked her as an idiot and belittled her as a joke, have worn t-shirts that say “Palin is a C**t”, called her the VPILTP (vice president I’d like to punch), etc.

Let me be clear: I don’t think any woman should feel obligated to vote for Governor Palin just because she’s a woman. I completely understand and respect women who feel they cannot vote McCain/Palin due to the fact that Roe v. Wade is their most important issue. What I don’t understand though is the utter contempt many of these progressive women feel for her. Not to mention the disrespect they show Govenor Palin for her accomplishments. It’s really shameful.

We should be proud that Governor Palin is a totally self-made woman. She doesn’t come from money. She didn’t go to an Ivy League school. She had no political connections. She became Governor completely on her own. She defeated the sitting governor of her own party! I don’t know anyone that’s done that. She blew the whistle on other powerful members of her own party. She’s been a very popular and successful Governor – with high approval ratings even among Democrats. She increased fees on oil companies and then rebated them back to the taxpayers. She successfully negotiated a natural gas pipeline, something that no one had been able to do in over 20 years!. Governor Palin should be respected by other women for all the things she’s achieved. Hell, we should be PROUD that a woman has accomplished so much – especially without the help of a man. Anyway, it just breaks my heart to see other women de-humanize her and treat her like the devil just because she holds different political views. It’s the same thing many Obama supporters, even female Obama supporters, did to Senator Clinton during the primaries. Women clearly have a long way when it comes to sisterhood.

  • http://chriss chris

Could somebody please tell me why no one is bringing up the fact that Biden would be one heart beat away from the Presidency? He is almost scarier than Obama. He’s a washed up moron who can’t stop his brain from unloading through his mouth non-stop idiotic statements. Does anyone think for one minute he could be a President? He tried how many times and people saw right through him and sent him back to his own little state where he can do nothing but sound off about how great he is. Yikes. The 2 top guys for the Dems are a pair of distorted caricatures come to life. We are living in a nightmare I think.

  • Michael

I don’t believe Palin has been divisive to our base. She has electrified it.

She has, IMHO, been a lightening rod for the middle and some Reagan Democrats. I wish she would have been allowed to gain additional experience in dealing with the media.

    Just my opinion………..

  • AnninCA

He would be pretty awful. I’d much prefer Palin to Biden.

    BIDEN GAFFE : AUDIO DOCTORED?

Yes, posting this twice, on this and Barney Franks thread. Who has listened to the Biden audio running on You Tube that is supposedly of the appearance in question (no video, which might have allowed what I think might be going on with the audio).

Here’s the You Tube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlnUzsgqGQw

You’ll notice that the line, “test the mettle of this guy” is followed, in this audio version, by the words, “and they’ll find he has a spine of steel.”

Never mentioned before, those last few words. And, miraculously, those words do not appear in the media pool report transcript of the event. Nowhere.

So, what’s this up on You Tube? The “smoking gun” or the Obama version of the gun, with the bullets removed and the fingerprints wiped down?

Here’s the post which I might have put in the wrong thread:

    # # #

I was stunned when I heard the audio clip of Biden’s remark, with the “spine of steel” tag line. Trust me, it sounds like they did some ADR. I’ve done it and it sounds like it was added on.

That line is nowhere in the transcript of the full Pool Report. In fact the word “steel” is nowhere to be found.

Has somebody doctored this audio? I know that sounds wild but, trust me, NOTHING is beyond these people.

The other explanation is that the pool report transcript just HAPPENS to have missed this significant phrase (while missing nothing else)? This is eerie folks.

The reporter, Matthew Jaffe, of ABC News, Washington, was either the origin of the pool report or was referring to it but the notation at the top says “***I have the audio if anyone needs it.”

    See:

Subject: Biden Seattle fundraiser pool report (#2 of 2)
    Pool report
Seattle, WA fundraiser (#2 of 2)
    Sunday, October 19, 2008

*** I have audio if anyone needs it.

Someone needs to be asked about this. Whatever is on You Tube could very easily have been put up there by the Obama campaign itself (and I suspect it was), with the added line.

But, somewhere, there is audio tape taken at the time that, unless something bizarre is going on in the cosmos, should track the transcript.

According to the transcript, Joe Biden never said those words after “…test the mettle of this guy.”

    What follows immediately is:

And he’s gonna have to make some really tough – I don’t know what the decision’s gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen.

That’s it. And no one reporting on this, yet had mentioned those additional words.

    Fellow sleuths, what’s the scoop?

    # # #

  • AnninCA

Obvious, isn’t it? The mainstream media is going along with the Obama camp to dampen the damage.

  • Susan1968

Theythink she’s “dumb” because we’ve all been lulled into thinking presidents must be graduates of ivy league law schools.

We get hosed by the lawerly maunevering.

That’s why Reagan was a breath of fresh air.

And this is why Sarah is a breath of fresh air.

  • IndieDogg

I’ve e-mailed Lynn Sweet @ the Chicago Sun-Times to see if she knows what’s up since she was the first linked story I saw that had the pool report transcript in it. I’ll let you know what I hear back, if anything.

  • AnninCA

Susan, that’s only because they put people on pedestals.

    People love to do that.

    It’s false.

But they love to do that. Makes them feel safer.

  • Michael

You are right. Sarah Palin is not dumb.

Unfortunately her inexperience in dealing with the press on the national stage has many believing that she is.

I love Reagan too, but he was much more polished that Sarah. That much is indisputable.

  • Tversky

McCain didn’t do anything to hurt Sarah Palin’s chances to win a national election. Nor is McCain the reason the GOP’ers are doing badly. The main reason the GOP is doing badly is because George Bush is one of the most unpopular presidents in history. It’s a miracle McCain is as close in this race as he is. Especially since he’s old, supported the Iraq War, a weak public speaker and poor debater.
I get so tired of the rightwingers acting like the only reason Obama is winning is because McCain sucks.
    Specifically, Obama is winning because:
    1) George Bush and as an extension the GOP brand is very unpopular at the moment.
    2) The press has lost all journalistic integrity this year and is actively spouting pro-Obama propaganda, covering up for Obama’s past, mistakes, lies, etc. and refusing to vet him. At the same time they are using every little comment, aside, action to paint McCain/Palin as sleazy, lying, racist Nazis.
Sadly, many voters naively believe the mainstream media is unbiased. As such they believe McCain is unfairly attacking nice, wholesome Barry Obama and believe Sarah Palin is a rightwing extremist monstor/brain dead barbie doll that McCain picked up at a truck stop. They don’t know she’s a very successful/accomplished Governor that has never tried to impose her personal beliefs on the citizens of Alaska.
    3) The Democratic party leadership is united in their willingness to put party before country.
    4) The McCain campaign seriously underestimated the press’s devotion to Barry. They thought since McCain used to be their politician boyfriend he’d get a fair shake. Boy where they wrong. (Future opponents of Barry better take note. All missteps, misstatements, and flubs will be played up to an absurd degree and editorialized as either signs of dementia or racism while every Barry misstep, misstatement and flub will be excused or ignored.)
    4) The McCain campaign allowed the press and frauds in the Democratic party to “brand” Governor Palin. They should have gotten the info out there about Palin’s accomplishments as a Governor immediately. Lots of people are still unaware of what she’s achieved. They also should have let her loose in front of the press right away. By not doing so they allowed the Dems to push the narrative that Palin is incompetent. Then when she didn’t do great in the Katie Couric interview people jumped all over it as confirmation of their initial opinion.
    5) McCain isn’t good at articulating an economic message. Obama fakes confidence on economic matters much better than him. (I hope Obama is faking. I hope he isn’t laboring under the delusion he knows what the hell he’s talking about. That’s a scary thought: Ignorant AND arrogant. Scary combo.
Kind of like many of his supporters.)
    6) Obama is an extra-ordinarily good conman-uh-public speaker.

Don’t worry about Palin. She can come back in 2012 if McCain/Palin don’t win. The base loves her and only the most brainwashed Obama think she’s gotten a fair shake from the press. Because of the latter, she’ll get another chance with the public. She needs to get a little more fluent on international issues and she’ll be fine. The few sane Obama supporters I know disagree with her on issues, think she’s not ready to step in and be POTUS but admire her toughness and grace under pressure. They’re like the hardcore, Clinton hatin’ rightwingers I know that grew to admire Hillary’s chutzpah and fighting spirit during the primaries.

The McCain/Palin ticket is two regular people, not two LAWYERS like n0bama bin biden.

Now why is it that the MSM hasn’t noticed this difference between the 2 tickets….. that Obama/Biden are lawyers by education and McPalins are not? That’s why BO is such a smooth talker like John Edwards (another lawyer). Lawyers are good at lying to win cases. No wonder so many end up in politics.

Zeke, I am a woman and you have totally misunderstood what I meant. Chill out. I know a couple of things about being disregarded, passed over, knocked out, sworn at, underpaid, patronized–and still have gotten up to go on, work around ignorance, and try to promote equal regard for women. I ain’t complaining! I’m sneering at the idea (not Larry’s words) that wow, it’s a surprise to find a woman who can best a man and look good doing it.

  • bemused

In fact, Zeke, that was an extremely patronizing rant of yours about my attitude.

  • Ai1een

I heard Biden was TOLD to take a break…TOLD under no uncertain terms.

Basically he was told to sit today out, get his act together because he is a WALKING, TALKING, WACKO with no capability to discern what information to release and when.

Like Sarah Palin’s #5 – Biden is a true THREAT and HAZARD to that campaign.

Is THIS who America needs for President if something happens to Barack Obama – something like…oh, I don’t know – IMPEACHMENT for his corrupt Rezko dealings or discovery that he wasn’t a legit citizen of this country after all?

  • I DON’T WANT NO INDONESIAN FOR US PRESIDENT

If she offered and he would not do it

    he’d look like a wimp

    If he did it

he’d look like an idiot AND a wimp

  • I DON’T WANT NO INDONESIAN FOR US PRESIDENT

His great uncle was Charles Thomas Payne, that’s what I saw on ancestry.com

  • ugo

You are right, the worst part of it, is that most of them cannot even express themselves.

    They do not understand.

It is up to use to keep on explaining, we may be able to reason with some of them. If they could understood.

Now I know why democrats have managed to keep their base in the dark. Democrat exploiting the ignorance of their base.

It is begining to be clear. Now I understood what they, my democrats did to Sen. Hillary Clinton.

  • ritamary

Sarah is “too divisive”? Isn’t that exactly what Obama was saying about Hillary?

  • Jackie

Yeah but we know his medical condition. He has had 2 count them 2 brain surgeries. EEEK one heart beat away. Thank-you no I’ll take Sarah and so will most of the soldiers on Active duty today. THat ought to tell you something.

  • Jackie

Rock on Dad. Thank you for raising strong women. I come from a long line of the same. My 2 girls won’t take crap from anyone neither will I.

We are all pulling for Sarah because she is a real woman who gets the cost of food issues, changes diapers, deploys a son, comforts a daughter pregnant before she was ready, and still runs a state. Her husband is all man–no metrosexual wimp there.

    The whole package!

I want to see her in DC.

  • ArmyMomForObama

she doesn’t even know what the VP’s job is?????

  • Jackie

    Palin’s lesser known qualifications:

She is the only person in this race who has deployed troops to combat and natural disaster relief.

She has balanced a State budget

She has made decisions that she personally does not agree with but were in line with the laws. SHe put the law first.

She has an acute understanding of the energy challenges of the nation.

She has not been tainted by the “inside the beltway” mentality.

She can speak to the needs of the “average” person because she has lived the life that most of us lead.

She is a concensus builder and a solution finder. What a concept.

This Governor is a qualified person, her party and her gender are not disqualifiers. THey are added bonuses.

She will do better for us and on our behalf than Barack could ever hope to do.

For McCain, Sarah will be the conscience of the common person. If you will, she will keep them focused on the Joe Plumbers of the world.

  • Jackie

    It felt good didn’t it!

Great for you and thanks for putting your country first.

  • Jackie

    Think Brave.

    Think a better Nation.

    Think Prosperity

    Think Reform

    Think Freedom

    Think Strength

    Think Good for Women

Think parity for Men & Women

Think about the greatness of a pair of people that can bring all races and genders and political positions together under one banner.

This is the true future of America United and open to discussion and a voice for all.

    Vote McCain Palin

  • Jackie

yep you can’t get more American than Idaho.

  • Jackie

He was asking for these people to trust Barack as he reinstitutes the draft to make his domestic militia to serve his ends.

  • Jackie

    Yep that is true.

While I do not agree with all of her stands I feel she is someone who will be able to make sound decisions for the best interests of the nation.

I think we can talk to her and explain our views. She unlike Obama will listen.

  • Jackie

On behalf of your mother I thank you for your vote.

I gave birth on election day in 1986–yes I voted first too.

With luck we can give you a great president for your birthday gift.

  • Jackie

Let’s get the audio from him and blast it across the internet

  • Jackie

Get a grip. And honor your child by voting for some one who sees your child as a person not a tool for his glory.

  • Zeke

    West coast, Papoose

  • Zeke

Quit whining. If you weren’t looking for sympathy, you never would have written it.
Additionally, you were the one to start a sexist statement that all men are fucked up and can’t give women credit when its due them.
I am not the one who has shown a “pre-judgement.”
You might know the word better as PREJUDICE.

  • ArmyMomForObama

I do have a grip on reality which is why I cast my vote yesterday for the next President of The Unites States of America – Barack Obama.

How can someone say they are qualified to hold a job when they don’t even understand the role?
