The Nocturnal WarriorTune in to NQR tonight for The Nocturnal Warrior, and his sidekick Puma Pam, from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET.

Jennifer Rubin, the incisive columnist for Commentary magazine, is the special guest of Nocturnal Warrior and his sidekick Puma Pam tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET. We are great admirers Ms. Rubin’s sharp writing, and quote her here all the time. (Let’s just say that Maureen Dowd and Frank Rich could learn a thing or two about writing a column from Jennifer Rubin.) If you have questions for Jennifer Rubin, please send them before the show to nocturnalwarriorshow@gmail.com.  Or call in at (347) 677-0792. Ms. Rubin will join the show at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Check out Jennifer Rubin’s latest brilliant column, “Flotsam and Jetsam” (h/t Andy):

Hillary Clinton stars in another anti-Obama ad.

The Democrats were right: the Bush Justice Department is so hopelessly politicized that they are neglecting their law enforcement duties. But not exactly in the way you might imagine.

The Bill Ayers story lives because Barack Obama can never quite bring himself to get all the facts out. All in all I think John McCain would rather be talking about Joe the Plumber than about Bill the Terrorist. But Barack the Liar is omnipresent.

Amazing what reporters find when they stop arguing with the crowd about press bias and just cover what happens. …

Read all of “Flotsam and Jetsam.”

Audio archives of Nocturnal Warrior are available at NQR immediately following the broadcast.

DCMediaGirl continues her hiatus, and we look forward to her return.

    Election 2008: Florida Presidential Election
McCain 49%, Obama 48% in Florida
    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/
    2008_presidential_election/florida/election_2008_florida_presidential_election

    Last week:
Last week, Obama held a 51% to 46% lead. He led by seven points in the Fox/Rasmussen poll the week before.

I don’t what more the “lbieral media” can do to try and get obama elected. But if the polls keep going the way they are going I’d bet the next attack on a palin or mccain motorcade will be by members of the press.

  • IndieDogg

Not so. The Federal Elections Commission, given extended time to file an answer to Berg’s Complaint (they are named as a party), filed their reply today. Alleging two things: (1) That Berg does not have standing to sue (already raised, of course, by Obama and the DNC both, so that issue is already before the court) and (2) That, in any event, the FEC is not a proper party and should be allowed out of the case.

This is not action by the court. This is action by a named party filing a pleading in the case.

Go to the site and read it if you like.

    • lark

I am confused and I don’t know squat about legalees. But if a citizen can’t ask the FEC through the court to produce documents beyond reasonable doubt that a candidate sanction by them to appear in all 50 states be properly vetted, then who?

The Secretaries of State say they are not required to vet the affidavits and birth certificates because it is a responsibility that fall on the FEC. But can the Sec. of State demand proof. Then they say they don’t because only a court can demand proof after a complaint is file.

So a complaint is file but FEC says a citizen does not have standing. No one has standing then. The FEC is an autonomous entity.

Honestly, nothing makes sense anymore to me.

    • lark

      I’m going to scream.

Can the FEC at least say as a matter of public service who the hell has standing to ask of them – who the hell has standing to ask them to do what they are suppose to do.

      Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllll.

Article II has never been a real issue before. No-one has the responsibility of ensuring that a candidate is an natural born citizen. It is a self-attestation, like when you file your taxes. But in that case there is a mechanism (audit) to check up on you.

I’m not surprised there is a lot of finger pointing over standing and responsibility. But it will get kicked up to higher courts and there, they can’t very well say let’s just set Article II aside for this election while we straighten this out. I don’t know how long it will take but they will make Obama produce the real full birth certificate. How long they take to do that will determine whether McCain or Biden will be president because Obama will not be.

There is no wind today outside. I’ll go fly a kite. And I’ll shoot anyone who looks at me strangely. I will put the kite on the ground and stand there until the day when I get sufficient wind and the kite takes off.

That represent the justice system works.

i urge all of you to go to http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net…it seems Andy Martin is also in Hawaii digging up info on Obama and has come across some truths about him that will change the election…also I urge everyone to forward the post about Obama starting the draft up again. It is under the title about Joe Bidens remarks and there will be the word DRAFT in the post. We must get the word out that this is even being talked about, as I know not many young kids would vote for someone who supports the DRAFT…and it included women. If you google Obama and the draft you will find that Obama is for having women in combat roles…please get the word out

    • Shiloh

Where on that site are you reading this?

    • Jackie

Obama has repeadedly insinuated that he will bring back the draft to make his domestic militia (Colorado speech) or as he discussed 9/11 forum at Columbia.

Ladies and gentlemen Barack Obama wishes to fundamentally change the way we function as a Nation. He wants a national domestic militia this is a clear violation of the Constitution and states rights.

What is the MSM going to do when BO loses???

Will they call us racist, rednecks as Murtha has called the people of Pennsylvania???Is that the punishment??

Prediction: there will be a landslide in this race.

Either Obama steals it, or McCain wins it without stealing it.

McCain/Palin and the disaffected Hillary democrats win the day. McCain the maverick centers/disinfects the Republican party, and Hillary Democrats stand up for righteousness values: democracy and fairness. The two forces forged an alliance and will clean up Washington and both of their respective parties.

    Its a win-win folks.

P.S. The press will be regulated by the old Fairness Doctrine or a new regulatory agency. How hard is it to ask the SAME question of two candidates? How hard is it to measure whether or not you have the same number of opinion makers as guests on your show? How hard is it to investigate both parties if known criminals and unsavory characters haunt their past?

    NOT HARD AT ALL!

PRESS: Your job is to report the story, not become the story. Your duplicity will not be overlooked when this over. Win or lose.

What are the facts? Again and again and again – what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelations, forget what “the stars foretell,” avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable “verdict of history” – what are the facts, and to how may decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your single clue. Get the facts! Robert Heinlin

When you look at the facts Obama is a bad choice for dog catcher not to mention POTUS

Just ventured over to Jennifer Rubin to take a look and, man, the things people call Governor Palin in comments is so far out there. Hadn’t ventured into that morass of foaming-at-the-mouth rabid disciples of the Messiah in a while.

Anyway, cross-linked on Jen’s site was an article postulating why the media and others came up with the idea that the Governor of Alaska is just plain dumb (called much worse on some blogs, as you know). She links to it, title “Glib vs. Smart.”

Go there to read it [http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/rubin/39241], but thought to share an observation I filed over there, for your consideration. We spend a lot of time talking about Alaska and whether the citizens of Alaska have brains or are merely a link to the Stone Age, wandering around wearing bear skins and hunting game on Main Street in Nome with rocks and spears (which, of course, they’d have to be no to understand how stupid their Governor is).

    # # #

And, quite aside from what the people of Alaska think of Governor Palin (by the way, in her campaigns she debated both opponents several times — she didn’t back into anything), there is support for your theory from outside Alaska:

Palin is Chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multi-state government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources. She also serves as Chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which is charged with ensuring state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of energy, agriculture, environmental protection and natural resource management.

These positions are selected by the States and Governors of the States. So, if she’s putting one over on people, she’s putting it over on a lot of fellow chief state executives as well. Not likely.

I also read an interview with a Governor, can’t place it at the moment, who serves on the NGA energy committee that she chairs. He commented that he’s seen her in action, presenting and presiding over these meetings and that she’s anything BUT dumb.

And, finally, she moves better (to the Eskomo rap) than Obama does, though that’s just petty to bring up. A little levity never hurt anybody.

Interesting article on the Exit Polls.

    Disinformation Hoax Backfires.

In 2000, 2002 and 2004, misleading exit-poll data (disinformation) proved counterproductive to fair elections for the Republican Party, interfered with and recklessly endangered the electoral process, produced an environment of animosity and resentment, and subverted the legitimacy of our national election process. Presidential elections are too important to our system of government to risk future exit-poll fiascos. The practice of indicating winners using manipulated exit-poll data must be terminated now; this practice has already done great damage in Elections 2000 and 2004; why risk catastrophic damage in future elections?

I think this is the tactic they tried to use on Hillary in SD. I think this is exactly the same tactic they’re trying to use now. To read the full article:

    • Diana

Sorry that should have read same type of tactic they used on Hillary. That they’re now trying to use on McCain to bring their skewed polls more inline because they know when it’s all over there isn’t any effect that will show why their polls have been so skewed all this time. “It’s over no reason to get out and vote for your side.”

Just saw this from the National Enquirer….probably old news to you guys, I’m sure!

The ENQUIRER exclusively reports a “sex pervert” was Sen. Barack Obama’s longtime mentor and “father figure”.

For seven years, the presidential candidate had a “father-son” relationship with Frank Marshall Davis, who has confessed to having sex with children, sadomasochism, bondage and practicing a wide array of deviant sexual activities…….

Wouldn’t you think the bottom line concerning Bobo’s BC would be that voters would wonder about a candidate who fights the presentation of the document by filing court motions?
