I agree with everything you said but the 95% of African Americans supporting Obama. As an African American, (please don't use AA, reminds me of alcoholics anonymous or maybe I'm just being too sensitive) I can tell you that the figure is more like 60% Obama, 40% McCain.

MSM, Obama, his campaign, the Democratic Party, including certain factions in the black community are working very hard to perpetuate this myth, brainwashing tactic. There is an insurmountable amount of pressure on those of us in the black community 'to have a brother's back'.

Those of us who are not strong enough and do not speak and think for ourselves will vote for Obama. Those of us who are mavericks in our own right, will not.

In other words, it's all about following the leader, which I admit, I have never been good at. I acknowledge the fact that I have lost a lot of what I once thought were friends, but hey I can live with it because I must vote my conscious and my conscious says that Obama is not the one.

Most of the robots in the African American community who are voting for Obama are doing so because they view him as America's first black president.

Their reasoning is based on total ignorance: (a) they have no idea of the man's agenda; and (b) we have already had 5 or 6 black presidents. Obamabots are clueless to this fact.

Most importantly, even if there had never been a black president before, why compromise one's principles just to have one? Such logic is terribly flawed.

Enter Colin Powell, see: COLIN POWELL ENDORSEMENT OF OBAMA DOES NOT MEAN WHAT MSM AND THE DNC WOULD LIKE YOU TO BELIEVE, http://pumabydesign001.wordpress.com/2008/10/20/colin-powell-endorsement-of-obama-does-not-mean-what-msm-and-the-dnc-would-like-you-to-believe/

Again, with all that Colin Powell has accomplished in life, I as an African America will tell you that before all else, Colin Powell is a black man, before all else! That is how we are raised and regardless of whether we are republican, democratic, conversative, independent, catholic, muslim, male, female, young, old, educated or otherwise, being African American comes before all else!

If you notice Powell did a lot of hemming and hawing about his endorsement of Obama. His explanations for supporting Obama had all kinds of holes. There's a reason Colin Powell does not want to go out and publicly campaign for Obama. Just because he endorsed the man has nothing to do with whether Powell ACTUALLY believes in Obama or the Myth of Obama. He is just 'having a brother's back'.

Another example, is Jesse Jackson. Jackson will say he endorses Obama, but it is clearly obvious that the two are not on the same page.

Has anyone seen Al Sharpton? Reverend Al is keeping a very low profile as well. Why? Because he went to Obama in early spring and offered his services and Obama told him he did not want his help. How insulting could that have been for Al Sharpton?

But both of these men will tell you that they support Obama. Colin Powell is no different. They are just 'having a brother's back'.

OT I finally received something back on my Logan Act petition. Letter back as follows.

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about reports regarding the potential breech of the Logan Act by Senator Barack Obama (D-IL). I appreciate hearing from you and would like to respond to your concerns.

As you know, we are continuing to see significant successes and trends that will lead to a stable, democratic Iraq over time. Ethno-sectarian violence is down dramatically since the beginning of the new strategy for success in January of 2007. Thanks to the ever increasing efforts of the Iraqi Security Forces in conjunction with our Armed Forces and coalition partners, more Iraqis than ever are able to carry out their day to day lives without fear of violence and death. Currently, our diplomatic efforts in Iraq have been focused on the creation of a Status Of Forces Agreement (SOFA) with the Iraqi government to ensure that the government of Iraq will have the support of Armed Forces they need to ensure a stable security situation in their country.

There have been reports in the news that claim that Senator Obama may have violated the provisions of the Logan Act during his trip to Iraq by interfering with the negotiation process that is ongoing there. Execution of delicate diplomatic initiatives, like Status Of Forces Agreements, is best left to the President and the cabinet, as defined by our Constitution. Speaking with more than one voice in foreign affairs issues sends mixed signals that can work contrary to our national security interests and those of our allies and friends.

Again, thank you for sharing your views with me. Please contact me if you have additional comments or questions. For more information about issues and activities important to Florida, I invite you to sign up for my weekly newsletter at http://martinez.senate.gov.

Sincerely,

Mel Martinez

Interesting statement:
“There will be a serious crisis on or about January 21 that’s going to be tough for the next President to deal with”

Where could he be getting his intelligence from? Is it not against some law for people like him and Joe Biden to be speaking out on things like this?

Why would any America vote for someone like Obama who has no experience and has "boneheaded moments" And those are the two best qualities he has, it goes downhill from there.

Obama has paid over 21 Million for polls. Who and what is he paying for? The MSM is in the tank for Obama. Axelrod has astroturfing, he may well have a program that can vote over and over and over in online polls. He also has paid bloggers, who can and will do same.

The Zogby poll is owned by Arabs who support him. This should be disclosed, but remains hidden.

Plus the polls have to show Obama ahead, this is done to distress McCain's voters, cause us to lose heart. But most importantly it is setting the scene for the big STEAL. ACORN is not the only thing out there working to defeat the McCain/Palin ticket. Look for the following.

1)Electronic voting machines to be hacked
2)Obama squad of attorney intimidation tactics
3)Obama army of thugs
4)The electoral college to be changed
5)In Nebraska all they need is to win Omaha to get 1 electoral vote out of the total 5.
6)Faithless electoral voters
7)UN involvement (could that include troops?)

It will take everyone of us being vigilant, standing up, calling law enforcement if necessary to defeat the Chicago Political Machine, backing Barack Obama, funded by outside forces and foundations, and old hippies like Bill Ayers and his wife.

Fugitive Days by William Ayers omits these from his book:

"Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at."

He also omits any discussion of his wife Bernardine Dohrn's famous reaction to the Manson killings, she gave Manson a three finger salute and said "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they even shoved a fork into a victim's stomach! Wild!"

How many of us want these addled creatures anywhere near the White House and that red button?

Obama’s nomination has made our country a complete mess and an embarrassment for the world to view.

Obama and his team of supporters have reared the ugly head of sexism and racism, criticized our country to the world and have been a complete embarrassed with voter fraud and the entire voting process.

Many in my community have never seen such bias in reporting, if you want to call it that. It is an embarrassing time to be an American.

The media should be emphasizing the importance of a man with good character, not defend a man that has associations with far left, anti American radical leaders and the like.

Shame on the media, shame on the Democrats and all Americans that support Obama’s unfair tactics and lack of experience.

In the Powell interview he made his determinaton based on these "LAST SEVEN WEEKS" of these campaigns. Wouldn't a rational (non-racist, non-sexist, open-minded) person want to examine the history of the candidates over the last few years, or decades for that matter, rather than the "last seven weeks"???? That is pretty scary.

He went on to say Barack is "inspirational" and "transforming", yet he's a junior senator that for the majority of votes does not cross party lines (not very inspiring is it!, named one of the most liberal senators, voting left more times than Hillary...and that's transforming?), while for Sarah Palin he said "she's not ready to be president", and that the judgment on McCain's part was a poor judgment. Powell deliberately not stating the FACT that Sarah Palin is a Governor, (i.e. responsibilites of a Governor: in charge of the National Gaurd in Alaska, appointments, budget, making executive decision, ect. (hmmmm, the Office of the President is the "Executive Branch" and isn't it odd, the only person on these two tickets that has "executive experience" IS SARAH PALIN, a WOMAN, a WHITE WOMAN But in the eyes of a Black Man, Colin Powell, he cannot see a White Woman as qualified. Mr. Powell, I have news for you, being that she is the only one with executive experience, she is more qualified than all three others combined. Period. And if you want to add in character, she beats all three in that department too. Hmmm, Obama, ran unopposed in his State Senate seat, because he was a DIRTY POLITICIAN who hates COMPETITION, and essentially knocked off his competitors...now tell me is that really "change we can believe in"? I don't think so.

But I guess, experience is about "being able to inspire", to talk the talk, but not walk the walk, which Senator Obama has done by spewing out promises in his State Senate career, and NEVER fulfilling them. And Barack does not have "executive experience"...ZERO, like Palin has.

So is Powell a Racist and Sexist Man??? You tell me! If he is not, he must be pretty ignorant to judge a candidate on these "last seven weeks". Hey, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he is "all the above: racist, sexist, and ignorant.

On a world scale, America is far behind when it comes to electing women to higher office. Why, because of people who are racist and sexist like Powell.

hope that was a typo, the election is Nov 4, not 24.
Just double checking that ACORN didn't canvass your neighborhood and give you the wrong date to keep you from voting!

Approximately 95% of voting blacks support Obama. That is racism. Obama represents everything Powell was against. It doesn't take a genuine to know Powell is supporting Obama due to race.

Anyone who ignores this fact has no brain.
