Then what you are saying is that if the people are getting most of their information from radio, then the Republicans have a natural advantage.

So where it counts the media is far more right-wing leading.

I couldn't agree more. I don't relate to this Democratic party. The snide ageism remarks by Obama set off the wolf packs of youths posting remarks about older people that just show a complete lack of empathy. Look at the Letterman show. All ageist jokes.

The sexism was enough to make any smart young woman in America reconsider the thought of marriage. Why?

It's just been a transformational year, all right, but not in the way the idiotic pundits think.

Even if McCain can't pull this out, I can guarantee you that he and Palin have successfully transformed the Republican party into the party of the regular Joes.

And I firmly believe that in that oh so boring off-cycle election year, the Democrats will be quite shocked to learn their more solid-voting base has left.

Eleanor Clift was one who said the democrats can rely on new, younger voters, not old women (paraphrase).

Her time has come and gone, as if it were ever really here. Bye, Bye Eleanor!

You will see the fairness doctrine come back if oblahblahblahbama wins this election. those radio shows and blogs like this one will be the first to go.

You folks here at NQ have restored my faith in Americans. I only wish my fellow conservatives had some of your courage. We probably do not agree much on policy but we agree that oblahblahblahbama is NOT the man for this job.

Lets get McCain/Palin elected then we can battle it out on policy later.

Thanks,

Mr. Bitter

Also, I find it interesting that AP has the race at a dead heat and Investors Business Daily poll has Obama ahead only by 4. However, FOX of all polls has Obama at a 10 point lead despite the fact that it is um...FOX. Do the conservatives want the country to believe that McCain can't win the race so that they can take us by surprise on Election Day? I don't understand FOX's poll at all. I expect MSNBC and Zogby to be off as they usually are in the tank for Obama.

Larry, what are your predictions for this election? Do you think McCain still has a chance or that his trend line is only getting worse and he will not be able to win? Just wondering because I trust your judgment more than any of the morons on cable news.

I think the polls are terribly off.

More people than ever before (I think it's over 80%) refuse to respond to pollsters calls.

It would make sense to me that centrist dems who are voting (R) this year out of anger at the DNC may likely be in that 80%.

It also makes sense ecstatic Obama supporters high on hopey-changey would most likely chomp at the bit to tell pollsters he's their choice.

This skews the polls entirely.

Add to that, pollsters are weighting responses for Obama more heavily because of the (Acorn) registered new voters.

You look at real politics and different polls have him anywhere from 4-points ahead to anywhere from 9-11-14 points ahead. RCP averages them to a 7-point lead.

But I think such wildly different polls taken on the same 2-day period (4-point lead verses 14-point lead, for example), makes me suspicious of any accuracy.

Also -- my hubby noted something today.

Monday -- polls had the race tighter much tighter and one poll had McCain ahead by a point.

The stock market rebounded.

Today, the MSM announces Obama is 10 points ahead -- the stock market drops.

Has anyone else noticed that?

With respect to the 2006 voter turnout compared to 2004, the off-year elections are ALWAYS lower in turnout. In point of fact, the chart at http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781453.html shows that the turnout in 2006 was a larger percentage of the voting-age population than in 2002--when comparing the presidential-year elections, the increase in percentage was greater from 2002 to 2006, compared to 2000 to 2004. In 2002 the turnout was only 37% and in 2006, it was 43.6%l in 2000, the turnout was 51.3% while in 2004, the turnout was 55.3% (IOW, there was an increase of 6.6 percentage points between 2002 and 2006 whereas there was an increase of only 4 percentage points between 2000 and 2004). I also believe a part of 2004's high voter turnout had to do with the large number of state amendments banning same-sex marriage (14 in 2004, compared to only 6 in 2006) which brought out more of the religious right base.

Larry,

This was sent to me from the Latinos4Reform.com site owners.

If time allows, please put attention to this youtube......it's crunch time! :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAyg4qWGaDA

(Translation): Barack Obama a friend of the Latino community? The record demonstrates the opposite.

Did you know that after the 2000 census that showed a tremendous growth of Latinos in Chicago, Obama told reporters in Chicago that while everyone agrees that the Hispanic population has grown, they cannot expand by taking power from the African-American community.

You heard right...but there's more. Did you know that Obama has never hired a Latino to a senior position in his office throughout his legislative career?

Did you know that Obama has opposed trade with Mexico, Central America and Colombia, yet supports free trade with Africa?

And during the immigration debate in the senate, Obama ignored us in order to avoid upsetting labor unions and the voters in Iowa. And now after ignoring Latinos throughout his career, he promises us everything.

Please Mr. Obama, Latinos are tired of the empty promises from politicians, like yourself that offer us everything when you need our votes, but then forget about us.

Latinos, think it over, because the future is in your hands.
