Is he for real? It isn’t enough that he is insisting upon the overthrow of Egypt’s leader, but oh-my-gosh, where does HE come off lecturing ANYONE about how they should “listen to their people” (Um, hello? Obamacare?), and what kinds of elections they should have.

Don’t take my word for it – here’s the man himself blathering on – AGAIN – about Egypt:

Oh, where to begin, where to begin? How about with Barack Obama getting everyone thrown off the ballot for his first run for the IL Senate in 1996, including his mentor, Alice Palmer, so he could run unopposed? You’ll love this bit from the Chicago Tribune about Obama’s first run:

Fresh from his work as a civil rights lawyer and head of a voter registration project that expanded access to the ballot box, Obama launched his first campaign for the Illinois Senate saying he wanted to empower disenfranchised citizens.

But in that initial bid for political office, Obama quickly mastered the bare-knuckle arts of Chicago electoral politics. His overwhelming legal onslaught signaled his impatience to gain office, even if that meant elbowing aside an elder stateswoman like Palmer.

A close examination of Obama’s first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career: The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it.

“Why say you’re for a new tomorrow, then do old-style Chicago politics to remove legitimate candidates?” Askia said. “He talks about honor and democracy, but what honor is there in getting rid of every other candidate so you can run scot-free? Why not let the people decide?” [snip] (Click here to read the rest.)

“Honor” is not exactly a word I would associate with Barack Obama, like, ever.

How about this – fast forward to 2008 and the Primaries – for “fair and free” elections, Mr. President:

Just for starters, there, Obama. You are the last person on the face of the planet who should be lecturing ANYONE on elections. There are so, so many more examples of the ways in which Obama, his campaign, and the DNC subverted a “free and fair election” in the Primaries, and in the Election (New Black Panthers, anyone?).

You know I could go on about this, and list example after example, but I would rather you take this one. Feel free to share your favorite example of how Obama has subverted the process, or how he is inserting himself in the overthrow of one of our allies, or forcing his policies down our throats no matter what we say. Have at it!

Or anything else that is on your mind. Consider this an Open Thread.

Nice one oowawa! It’s possible, but it appears the bookies payed off either side of the “second” spread. She may have been shaving notes. I wonder who set the tempo, was it she or her accompaniment. This should be investigated, but it’s long odds that they will.

Ya think the diva took a dive?

So, if the TV has not been already set for the Super bowl, the ratings would have been lower, I bet they muted and went to eat during that 15 minutes, LOL!   A Pre-Game Interview Prediction Falls Short

The half-hour when that 15-minute interview appeared pulled in 21.9 million viewers.(To be fair to Mr. O’Reilly, the NBC interview appeared slightly closer to game time, by about 15 minutes, and more viewers come to the set as the kick-off approaches.)
To be exact, what Mr. O’Reilly said, when he phoned in to the Fox News show “Happening Now” last Friday, was, “More people will see this interview than any other interview that’s ever been done in the history of mankind.”

    Happily at your service, Lady.

Yes indeed–wonderful!  At my granddaughters high school graduation, a skilled quartet of high school girls did an acapella National Anthem that was very similar to this.  And like Cindy says, “it gave me chills.”  It can be done with beauty, dignity, and style by regular people who are not trying too hard to toot their own horns and aggrandize themselves….

And I remember when she and Britney were just sweety little Mouseketeers…. O tempora! O mores!

Is that her bellybutton peeking out from under her skirt hem?? Oh my….. =-O

Seriously, why would he tell you? I’m serious, could you give me one good reason why he should even answer you? And why it would be any of your business?

Oh, yes – the Employee Hotline.  I had to laugh at the creation of this now considering what has gone on with Obama’s Ambassador to Luxembourg, Cynthia Stroum, who is on her way out the door.  Turns out she was SO bad, people were asking to be transferred to IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN, I kid you not!  The report from State abt her was scathing. Here’s a tidbit:
The U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg has quit after an ‘abysmal year’ dogged by personality conflicts, verbal abuse and questionable expenditure claims.

Cynthia Stroum had served just one year in office in which she ‘underperformed for the entirety of her tenure’, an internal report said.
The report, published by the State Department yesterday, described her management of the U.S. Embassy as ‘abysmal’ and said she threatened to read staff emails and was involved in improper purchases.

Her qualifications for the position?  She was Obama’s biggest fundraiser during the 2008, and gave him a boatload of money.

And she doesn’t waste her time with people who do not add anything but insults to the conversation. What have you written lately and can you give us a sample to be able to judge you work?

  • AbigailAdams

GL:  You are so awesome!  I just love this woman!  I can’t seem to find the particular rant she did (it really was 10 minutes), but I’ll keep looking.  At least now I know where to look.  I didn’t know she was featured on NQ — I wasn’t a regular reader back then.

    Many, many thanks!!

  • SeriouslyStrongWoman

Since you are a guest, you have over stayed your welcome!  Time to go now!  What a coward, hide behind a guest name and insult one of the best writers at NOQUARTER just so you can say to Pastor Obama and say, I insulted someone today on your behalf, JUST DISGUSTING!!

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Hey, hey, hey, JB – what the heck are you doing using historical facts on which to base your comment??  Sheesh!!!  😉

  • SeriouslyStrongWoman

Well, that the worst part of his job, not being able to have a conversation?  I ask my 19 year old daughter when she home last night, IF you were Prez, what would be you think would be the worst part of the job? She said which I am so sure you will say I am lying, but I really don’t give a F what you think, but SHE SAID, GOING TO BED EVERY NIGHT WONDERING WHAT I COULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY OR MADE BETTER AND NOT KNOWING IF MY DECISIONS WERE THE BEST DECISIONS FOR AMERICA.  I WOULD THINK THAT IS A HEAVY CROSS TO BEAR and then she said, I WISH WE HAD A PREZ THAT CARED ABOUT US!!  She did not watch the interview, knew nothing about it, so if a 19 year old girly girl thinks like that and thinks its about OTHERS, then why do we have a sitting president bitching alone ME TIME??

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

I did mention it in a comment, but there has been so much going on…Get this – the two main choices they have have contributed SOLELY to Democrats except one gave to ONE Republican in the past 10 yrs.  The other one not at all.

Wow – that pretty much says it all!

  • SeriouslyStrongWoman

Martina McBride does a GREAT job!  She is the only singer I know of today that can HIT that high note, IMO, and even in her music, she can hit a high note like no other!  Here’s an old youtube of her singing OUR SONG!

    Martina McBride Sings national anthem

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Yes, I agree – I don’t like it when singers “embellish” the National Anthem.  Annoys me, even when I love them like I do Patti Austin (whom I got to see in concert twice – once while in seminary, and a couple of years ago in Charleston.  The former was her pop work, and the latter was Big Band – cool!).

  • ~~JustMe~~

Ellen, don’t put words in my mouth please! 😉

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

What a truly lovely thing to say, Cindy – wow, thank you so much!  😀

2 eggs now and I’ve gotten to see both of them laid. It’s so relaxing to just sit and watch these eagles.
