Why do we need to expand the army? There are 170 overseas bases, that do nothing but antagonize half the world. Bush has destroyed America Hegemony. We can't afford to continue policing the world when the world hates our presence. Hell all of this crap is even hurting Brand America where other countries are openly refusing to buy American products.

Bush deserves a fair trial, before he's hung.

Susan, many thanks for the focus on Clinton's understanding of our needs, within the military. Your comments are right on target. It will be a bitter battle for the presidency come Nov 08. I have not yet decided who I will support in the primary yet, although I know I will vote for a Democrat. I, myself will never again vote for a Rethug... I can't trust even one... I would never again want my name associated with most of them of that particular political persuasion.

I said it will be a bitter battle, and we should prepare ourselves for it. I hope we don't tear down and tear apart any of the potential candidates, as has so often been done in past elections. It is hard enough to be brave enough to step forward for this office, without fellow Democrats and Independents forcing them to defend each and every action or statement. If we abuse the candidates before they even get to the starting gate... what will we have left???

Any way, thanks for sharing this, or I might have missed it, when catching up on some of the 'bigger' news of the last week. Great post last week Larry, and I hope you will hang tough for us awhile longer. Thanks for all you do, and please thank Valerie and Joe Wilson for their continued service to our Country... One of the proudest moments in my life was having brunch with him here in Ann Arbor last year... We spoke about hope and the need to keep fighting the darkness until the truth is known... He too, is a man who understands... I hope he may someday become an Ambassador once again... This time to the UN... Let us keep the Faith.... Regards to all.
