If McCain was so against torture or stood up against the Bush adminstration then then why did he support Bush’s veto of the bill that would have banned waterboarding?

McCain has called waterboarding a “terrible and odious practice” that “should never be condoned in the U.S.”

but, McCain is trying to have it both ways. He claims the CIA should not use “cruel” or “unusual” interrogations, but he defended Bush’s veto, a clear approval of waterboarding.

Monday Investors Business TIPP Tracking has the spread at 3.2% with 10.1% undecided.

Rasmussen has a 5 point spread Monday down 3 points in one day.

Tracking polls are generally harbingers of national trends which are harbingers of state polls a bit down the line. If this continues it could be a real nail biter at the end.
