Megyn Kelly Smacks Down That Twit Bill Burton

(Uppity Woman found and posted this story, not I, and i’ve corrected that. And special thanks to Uppity Woman for hosting so many No Quarter readers at her blog, and keeping them up-to-date on our status! – SusanUnPC)

Woot! You GO Girl! Under an Obamanation, you would be gagged! But for now, you GO!

From my blog, Uppity Woman.

I saw this earlier and I LOVE MEGYN KELLY! Burton is so smarmy, and continues to repeat the 95% tax cut lie. You cannot give a tax cut to 40% of the people who DO NOT PAY TAXES. Megyn held her ground, and it is such a relief to see a commentator stay strong in the face of their double talk. “You know I don’t like your sarcasm–you can get away with that on the other shows, but we don’t stand for that here.”

    OT:

NOTE: Dickie Morris just made a plug on FOX. He said Joe the Plumber just hit Obama with the left, and now it’s time for the right–Rev. Wright. McCain won’t do it, and the RNC won’t do it, but there’s a “courageous” (Dick’s word) group out there, GOPtrust.com who are raising money to push out $2-3 million worth of Wright ads, and that could seal the election.

    • imustprotest

hmm…GOPtrust.com…..I may pay them a visit with some $$$$$ after I go to Denver Group to give some $$$. All this $$$ since I gave ZERO to The ZERO Obama/Soretoro and the ONC.

I saw it live, too, and thought what a sleaze Bill Burton is. I was really pleased with how Megan handled him. Made him look like a total ass.

      • Jake

Actually, it looked just the opposite to me. They never really got around to discussing the substance of the charge. That’s pretty much a win for Burton.

        • Mary Kay

How do you get that? You have ears, right? You can hear what Obama said. It’s a no-brainer.

Burton always soounds like a fool. We respect people who can think for themselves and to this point there has never been any evidence that Bill Burton is capable of doing that.

Can you imagine the screams from the Obama politburo if Fox were to declare Burton persona non grata?

        • http://waitingfornov5 waitingfornov5

I think they like torturing him, plus it make for quite entertaining tv which, probably, increases their rating.

        • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

More like FOX NOISE, I mean news, is going to be persona non-grata after 5 November. Oh where were you losers gain your perspectives then?

          • Diana

Sounds like Communism to me, leaners love reading comments like this. Obama with the spread the wealth. His supporters with the Obama is going to control the media and which outlets are allowed to exist…I think you should promote this message to every blog you visit. In fact I think you should contact MSNBC and CNN with this message so they can help you to get it out there, people need to know just what Obama supporters think he’s going to do.

            • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Hmmmm…deja vu…oh no I seen this on Fox.

Typical far far far right-wing overreaction. Climb down off your cliff. Breathe-in Breathe-out…We are not going to become a communist country if a Democrat is elected. Jeezus…is this the first election you have ever followed?

And I don’t need to contact CNN or MSNBC…FOX NOISE is already beating the dead horse lies. As evidence by your zombie-like regurgitation.

Obama feels its time that all whites pay for the sin of slavery, its time that whites give back to the black communities, he just cant come out and make that case it may cost him the election and the white vote, but deep inside that is how he feels, once he gets into office then we will all see his master plan.

        • Objective Analysis

I am so sick and tired of this “white guilt,” and racism from the far left wing through BHO it is ridiculous. The USA is what blacks all the way from the American Revolution until the end of the Civil War have fought for. It was the Constitution and the Amendment process that blacks understood was the basis of why this country was great. Whites like quakers and others worked hard to do what is right. USA is far more free than Kenya, South Africa, Bosnia, Iran, Venzeula, Russia, China and other socialist/dictatorship countries. BHO has been brainwashed to be a figurehead for Rev. Wright, Farrakhan, Ayers, and all these radical marxists.

The truth will come out about this Wolf in sheep clothing, Manchurian candidate who is a marxist, socialist and communist.

Redistribution of wealth, our constitution is flawed, give me a break. He got his rights from those who worked to change the constitution, living document from 1787 until now.

          • LiberalTroll

Yeah, cry me river…I bet you’re just oozing with white guilt. Grow up and grow a pair. Whiny complaining loser.

Waaaaaaah I blame my shortcoming on the minorities!

      • Cubs in 08

The ‘redistribution of wealth’ has been on talk radio all day—from Bill Handel, to Laura Ingraham, to Rush, to Glenn Beck—just to name a few I caught on both terrestrial and Internet broadcasts. Glad I had the day off! ;)

        • Cubs in 08

Let’s not forget ObaMAO’s comment about the Constitution and its “fundamental flaws.”

Everyone pays taxes if they are employed. They pay payroll taxes (Social Security and Medicare), which is assessed only up to the first $90,000 of income. This results in Warren Buffet paying a lower rate of taxation than his secretary. Buffet talks about that here: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/money/tax/article1996735.ece

      • Mary Kay

Why doesn’t Buffet just give his secretary a raise then so she’s in a lesser tax bracket? If can he afford to buy companies, can’t he afford to take from his own pocket and give it to her? He’s rich, why do I have to make up the difference for her?

        • democrat

The point is that the secretary IS in a low tax bracket but pays a higher rate than Buffet because of the cap on the Social Security tax. And the vast majority of Americans pay a lower rate than the very rich because of that.

          • Sarracuda

You obviously have NO Idea what its like living in a communist country do you? You really need to talk to someone who fled Cuba or Venezuela to get an idea who you are voting for. You wanna know why some people want socialism? Because we are a lazy country, people want to get something for NOTHING. Why work if someone else will work for you and give you their hard earned money. Just imagine, you having to give YOUR money to someone else who is watching TV and eating all day while you are busting your ass for 8-9 hours a day trying to support your family, maybe then you will think twice. And please, read the book “Rules For Radicals” by Saul Alinsky, just read it, its an exact playbook of the Obama campaign, and Obama studied under him, Alinsky was a communist from Canada, his son said recently to a Canadian newspaper that Obama has learned well. Just read it

            • democrat

What a joke. Obama wants to raise a tax of 36% to 39% for amounts earned over 250K (with no increase on amounts under 250K) and they’re communists? Taxes were far higher 25 years ago than that.

              • torlando77

Um… the top tax rate is 35% (33% 164,550-347,700) not sure where you get 36% from. You dont even know the top tax rate and your telling me I don’t know anything about tax policy.

Your stupid and arrogant a perfect match for your messiah.

Buffet can give her $12,600 tax free a year, if he’s worried about her coming up short.

            • democrat

Buffet doesn’t just care about his secretary. He cares about all secretaries and everyone else having a tax system that is fairer than currently exists. You see, he can think about tax policy and how it treats everyone.

          • torlando77

your point that people pay payroll taxes is irrelevant to this discussion. SS is supposed to be an investment in your retirement, if you get a “rebate” on that does it decrease your government retirement benefit? Why does Barry call it a tax cut, is he cutting SS tax rate for these folks? No, he’s lying about it because people would not support his plan if they knew he was just expanding welfare to include another 60 billion dollars a year.

      • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Most rich people didn’t get rich being stupid. They already figured out how to shove this idea up obama’s skinny ass.

Small business owners take all the risk, pay all the bills and do all the worrying. If you think they are going to take a cut in their net income for The one, the joke is on him. They will just make it up by laying off employees. That’s how smart this idea is. So get ready for a big fat increase in unemployment.

Just thought of good visual: Have someone who sounds like Fred Rogers of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood ask the kids, “Can you say ‘redistributive’ boys and girls?” (God Bless the late Fred Rogers).

Or, perhaps it would be more like Eddie Murphy when he did the old Saturday Night Live skit, “Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood”. I’d like to hear him ask, “Can you say ‘redistributive’ children?” Then watch Mr. Robinson make off with something in the home he’s visiting at Christmas.

I hope they release a torrent of REV WRIGHT ads to smush Obama. One question though, is Fox the only network covering the Socialistgate?

    • Ani

No not at all. Lou Dobbs at CNN was talking about the audio tapes too today from what I was told.

Also — as Larry posted last week, more people listen to the radio — 120 – 160Million, I believe and many of these stations were playing this all over the place today. McCain’s people also covered it, so it is out there big time.

Lou also covered Barbara West’s interview with Biden and sided with her — saying she handled herself with ‘professionalism and aplomb” and “kicked Biden’s butt.”

      • DAB

Dobbs is the only one who covers this. He even criticizes the MSM for their biased coverage (including CNN). He was the only one who thought Florida/Michigan were problems. He has defended Hillary and Palin when no one else would.

I don’t agree with Dobbs on everything and turn him off when he starts his anti-immigration rants but he is THE ONLY OTHER ONE (besides Fox) who has the balls to call it like it is.

    • sharon

probably…that’s all they do cover, Obama smears, nothing else!

I talked with a fence sitter today. This person agreed that McCain was much stronger on defense. She made the comment that obama won’t be leaving Iraq, but will stay and finish the job.
I reminded her that Obama has insisted that he will get all of our troops out of Iraq…
Oh…he didn’t real mean that he would get out of Iraq she said..

I asked her what do you call a person like that…

        She answered….A Liar!!!!

        • DAB

A feature on NPR’s This American Life did a segment on PUMAs in Pennsylvania. They said that they were surprised to discover that the Democrats they contacted were very receptive to voting for McCain. Black PUMA canvassers were particularly successful in convincing them that they were not racist if they didn’t vote for Obama.

It was an interesting piece that seemed objective in the beginning but later portrayed the group as a little too vulnerable to conspiracy theories. All in all though it showcased the dedication of these fine, hard working volunteers. I can now see why McCain hasn’t given up on PA, despite some daunting polls.

    • athena

All voted straight ticket and EARLY. We have already cast our vote for McCain so that we are free to help volunteer to drive people to the polls on election day.

  • http://www.deathofthedemocraticparty.com xax

Eight days to go and I’m in the mood to bear my soul. (well parts of it.) It’s a long post, but here I go…

I am black and I am not voting for Obama. Why? There are many that I know, who are jumping at the chance of having a black man in office and despite their ingrained disagreements with him over issues such as abortion and gay marriage, they will vote for him. Though I am not voting for him, I wish him luck.

In these times I have taken a good long hard look at myself and wonder. I am not the foremost expert on black history in this country, but I know it. America is a patch quilt of people, ideas, religions and beliefs. America’s past make up that fabric.

My ancestors, my family, were brought to this country on ships. They were beaten, tortured, raped and killed to help build this nation. Their blood, sweat, tears, hopes, dreams and prayers are forever dried in America’s soil. And they kept on. Despite not knowing how to read, they kept on and believed in something. That something was our Constitution. The piece of paper that gave them rights they did not know they had. They stayed and here I am.

From then on, my family lived in the shadows of American society. They were allowed to live, be free and read, but they were not allowed to vote, hold office or sit next to white people. And yet they stayed. I remember watching a video (the title escapes me) in which I saw old photos from the end of the civil war until now. In that documentary, I remember how parents would send their children miles to some desolate cabin with no running water, light or textbooks so that their child could receive an education. I remember that footage and am saddened by the attitudes of children of all races today concerning education. Those children were willing to sacrifice to achieve something. Again it did not have a tangible name to them. It was an idea of being able to build yourself. It was the idea of a brighter future. They endured and here I am.

Then came the era of the civil rights movement. And though many people like to invoke King’s name, I choose instead to focus on the foot soldier; the man/woman who marched and cried for their rights to participate in this country. After a hundred years, they paid their dues and demanded to be a part of this country. They were threatened, insulted, spit at, shot, mauled by dogs, sprayed with fire hoses and murdered to ensure their equal participation in American society. No longer would they sit in the dark. And people were inspired by the idea that America could look beyond race and judge the person by their character. What type on man/woman are you? They fought for a better world where everyone had equal access, an America where everyone could achieve greatness. And so they fought and here I am.

So, Senator, I wish you luck in your endeavor. But I refuse to vote based on race. I cannot vote for you because you are black. I cannot vote because I feel it is “owed” to the community. Nothing is owed to anyone. The only thing that matters is what you earn. Personally, you have earned it, but I owe no debt to you. Even the illiterate slave understood that the only thing owed to them was their freedom. Without freedom, where would our nation be? And that is part of the reason I cannot vote for you.

I believe you want to encourage strife via class warfare. I believe that you honestly think America is not a place for people to succeed, but a place for those people to fail. I believe you think the government ought to provide for people what they cannot achieve themselves. And though there is something noble in providing for the less fortunate, I do not want your help. Nor do I want you take from someone else to do so.

You see, I believe that government is incapable of actually helping people. I believe our government to be corrupt. So any money that is taken from the rich, will never reach the poor. There are many programs, like education, that despite the continued cry for money and the constant outpouring of funds, are never funded. Somehow the money never makes it to where it’s needed most. Instead, on its way down, it’s skimmed from the top by politicians like you for their re-election bid. It is for that reason that I hate your plans for big government. In short, I do not trust you, or your friends, with such power.

We all know the story and it varies a little depending on who’s telling it. It occurred in 1787 after the ratification of the Constitution. A woman approached Dr. Benjamin Franklin and asked him a question.

“What have you given us? A Republic or a Monarchy?”

    Without hesitation he said:

“A Republic. If you can keep it.”

It is now some eight days before we exercise that oh so important American ritual. Every now and then I remind myself that power lies not in the hands of the President. It lies not in the hands on the Congress. Nor does it lie with the Judicial. No, power lies in the hands of the people. It is the people who decide their futures. It’s the people who decide the history of this country. My family decided to stay, endure and fight for that power. Why should I just hand it over? After all it is from them, that I am here. Indeed, it is from our shared past that WE are here.

    • Doc99

Judging Obama not for the color of his skin but for the content of his character – Bravo! I salute you. Dr. King would be proud.

Amen and thank you for such a heart felt post. I am tired of being thought of as racist because I have McCain bumper stickers. I am tired of the division this election has brought.

I have been a Dem for the past 30 years. Although I was to young to march in the Civil rights movement I would have if I could have.

I would love to have voted for the first minority President if that person would have been qualified, in my opinion. But I will not vote for a candidate just because he is a minority. I hope that day will come. But this year Senator McCain will get my vote.

When I first heard about obama a couple of years ago, I thought this is great, he has promise and would have voted for him if he could have stood up under scrutiny. It’s definitely NOT the color of his skin, but his actions and underlying beliefs that I despise.

    • Disgusted

      Great post xax.

Great post. You sound like a Great American.

Thank you for that fabulous post. I salute you for your clear thinking and for sharing it here.

Thank you, xax, for a great, clear, insightful comment—it’s people like you who make our country proud and strong.

It was wonderful to hear & see Megyn go after Bill Burton. Was excited to hear her say to him that BHO always goes after and blames the people that report his actions instead of going after himself for making those comments/actions that are reported. She called him on his lack of taking responsibility, which is exactly what Bush does. Neither Bush nor BHO can accept responsibility for their irresponsible words and actions.

Very moving post, xax, and I applaud you for speaking your mind despite the flak you must take from your kin. I agree that race should not be a deciding factor in choosing an elected official, and neither should gender or other variables. We should choose who gets our votes by what we feel they can do for our country.

And I see absolutely no harm in voting against a candidate who scares us, even if we don’t care for the person opposing him. Thankfully, I have been a John McCain fan for a long time, so this is easy!

Thank you for baring your soul! :)

      • Irked

What flak? Do you know his kin? Race shouldn’t be but what of the reports we’ve seen saying that there are those who will not vote (be they black or white) for the other candidate based on skin color. McCain/Palin scares me so I should vote Obama/Biden according to your logic right? Thanks!!!

        • JustMe

that flack that one has been handing out

          and that one scares millions

          • Irked

Name that flak? Specifics people! And he wasn’t talking about a candidate he was talking about this man’s kin!!!

    • Ani

      xax,

This is beautiful and so moving.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us and trusting us enough to bare your soul.

I would like to ask NoQ if we can put this up as a guest post. I hope this is OK with you — if you are still here — please let me know.

      Thank you again,

Powerful testimony, thank you so much. There is a series going on over at TexasDarlin that is requesting people’s viewpoints and rationale, just like this. Perhaps you could visit and post this comment, I know it would be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you.

I’m glad you took the time to do this analysis. It is awesome. This makes me wish that you had been the black man chosen to run for President this year. Ihave always wanted the color barrier to be nonexistant during elections – Dr. King’s dream realized. I supported Jesse Jackson during his run. I listened to the “Black State of the Union” in New Orleans this year. I was in awe at all the insightful speeches and wondered then “why not some of these people, if the Democrats wanted to elect a black person? Now I know that that is not what the Democratic leadership wanted; they wanted to further their extreme liberal/socialist agenda.

      Thanks,

      • Irked

Oh and how do you all know he’s black. Computers and the Internet allow you to be transparent. Hell I doubt his ancestors were slaves (or were they part of the tribes that sold the first slaves and then had it backfire when they lost a war and were sold themselves).

    • requiredreading

xax – thank you for this moving testimony. My husband and I talk about this history when we try to explain why our black friends are voting Obama when their lifestyles and principles have nothing in common with his purported policies. It is frustrating because I came of age in that civil rights era you mention — and the idea then was that the battle was between right-thinking people of all races against bigots. And the battle was to create an America where race doesn’t’ matter, not one where race is used as a tool in a campaign. This is one reason this election has been so hurtful – it feels as if that multi-racial civil rights movement has turned into a battle of the races against each other, in no small measure because of the Wright sermons and the Obama camp’s tactics. America deserves a President, of whatever race, who has the character and experience to rise above race and remind us that we have a shared history and that the pain felt by one group is pain that hurts us all.

yes, Obama has succeeded in distracting all of you so that he can plunder our tax dollars to line his pockets and the pockets of his chicago thug criminal friends….

just like he did in chicago…

Obama is using the socialists, the marxists, the anarchists and the minority communities to siphon off the money… to skim off the top of the reperations…

he is using their greed to con them…

it is the oldest trick in the book….

XAX, I am so moved by your post, especially your comments on keeping our country a Republic, how it is our responsibility. I agree, and for that reason, among others, I could not vote the Obama/Biden ticket. I love America, with all it’s faults and flaws, it is still the best country in the world and freedom is still our most valuable asset. Again, it is our responsibility to keep that which our forefathers fought so hard to give us.

      • Irked

Yeah but King isn’t due to the racist elements of the 1960s so GET OVER IT!!!!!

      • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Don’t pull the Socialist card either, because your ilk accused both of this.

    • AF catfish

Beautiful! This should be a story at NoQuarter, not just a comment.

About public school – what works is when the parents of the kids enrolled in that school get involved and demand higher standards, and make the school better. Throwing money at the problem does not work unless we the people show up and oversee how our tax dollars are being spent. We ARE the government. We have to remember that.

And the reason socialism is bad is it corrupts the people who receive handouts. Sure we can make programs to minimize costs of the sick in order to get them in shape to work again. Sure we can repair infrastructure so commerce can thrive. But to merely redistribute wealth, it sounds good, but it’s been tried in other countries and after a short honeymoon phase it does not unite a country. It creates all sorts of problems. As I’ve said many many many times this campaig season, Obama needs to read some history.

      • Ani

It will be. Tune in tomorrow!

    • KathyNeocon

Wonderful post xax! I commend you on your convictions and courage. I agree with all of it, except this:

Nothing is owed to anyone. The only thing that matters is what you earn. Personally, you have earned it, but I owe no debt to you.

I don’t believe Obama has earned any of what he’s getting. He stolethe primary win from Hillary through caucus fraud, refusing to provide any documents to substantiate your background, voting “present” for a good part of your short tenure in the Senate, censoring the media, shunning media who dare ask you difficult or other questions which require you to go off script, spending years associating with racists, radicals, domestic terrorists and other anti-American hatemongers does not, in my opinion, earn one the right to hold the highest office in this Nation.

      • Irked

Once again…Prove it with proof that isn’t silver spoon fed or a RNC, McCain or Palin talking point…Oh and by the way Republicans can lay claim to McVeigh and Nichols who are domestic terrorists and the granddaddy of all domestic terrorists the KKK……

        • jvsp

Republicans gave birth to the KKK? The Klan was comprised of mostly Democrats whose primary opposition was to Republican pols who migrated South. Ever hear of Southern Democrats? Here, start with Lincoln who was a Republican and work forward.

          • Irked

Democrats in the South did start the KKK, not saying they didn’t. If you read and not skim the talking points, most KKK members now are Republicans. Prove otherwise and don’t hit me with Thurmond or Bryd since they are no longer of that ilk, after all whose supporters are calling someone an Arab, terrorist, or the dreaded N-word…..

            • jvsp

Red herrings and straw men are all you can dig up. You taunt people to refute you, but then when they do, you just elide the fact.

Further, you ask for proof and make clear what with you does not “qualify” as proof, but you never define what would constitute proof. That is, as you have defined the game, there is nothing that qualifies.

Now your move will be to call me a “moron” saying that I am so ignorant not to know what proof is, and thus exhibit your own ignorance.

It’s sophistry, but not argument in which you engage.

              • Irked

Prove otherwise and who threw down the taunt hat: YOU did when you besmirched my Military service!! Can you absolutely prove that not one Klan member isn’t a Republican? Can you? If you can give me one current Klan member who is a Democrat I will humbly apologize but you can’t!!! It’s impossible more so to the point as impossible as it has been for your beloved W to find Bin Laden!! You have intellect my young Padawan but you choose to apply it foolishly!!

                • jvsp

How do you know it is impossible to find one Klan member that is a Democrat? By what means did you come to this conclusion? Since you claim it impossible, I needn’t look, BUT you first have to, as you are always claiming, prove it is impossible. LOL! So far as it stands, there isn’t any evidence either way.

Now your move is to turn to likelihood, wherein I will respond by asking where you got your priors, etc.

You never served. I couldn’t care less about all your protestation to the contrary.

                  • Irked

Then dredge up any info to the contrary. I have NEVER heard of a Democrat who has Klan leanings. If you can refute this provide the info or perhaps you can’t find it?

As far as my service it is there in my Military records in St. Louis, I have moved on to helping those who serve our great land now at Camp Bondsteel. Hell you answer the question of whether or not you have ever served. Heck I bet you couldn’t call a cadence if it came up and practiced with you!

              • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

You’re a “moron” and so ignorant you do not know what proof is.

                LOLOLOL….Guess you’re smarter than I thought.

            • Midlife Mama

Irked, after all the words Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin have been called I promise you I have no pity for any name Obama has been called. None.

              • Irked

Hey I’m not saying what they were called is right either. But let’s call a spade a sapde and realize that there are racist elements of both parties that keep showing up at events but only the McCain/Palin rally stuff seems to make airwaves and turn me off as an Independent to the Repubs. Glad to know some of you still drink that Kool-Aid though.

              • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

You name ONE name that Obama/Biden campaign called Hillary or Palin. Just name one that can be without a doubt be attributed to the campaign. I bet you either can’t or spout lies. You want me to name names which can be attributed to Palin?????????????????

          • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Ok, so I will work my way forward onward to the civil rights era and then today and guess what? The Republicans are no longer the same party of Lincoln.

You’re correct, the Klan did originate from Southern Democratic ideals but those same ideals currently resonate in Republican circles. Why? Because of the Dixiecrat exodus in the 60s (See Storm Thurmon, George Wallace, etc).

Guess what also? Blacks used to vote Republican at the same clip as they vote Democrats now. You know why? Because Black are not stupid and vote against their own interests, unlike some of the people…oh nevermind you obviously wont get it.

            • JustMe

you two need to clear off your arrogance is astounding but you followed a good teacher at a guess.

              Desperate in the final week.

              • Irked

Why arrogant when I know I’m right? YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!! Prove our desperation, your party and it’s website seem to be in their last throes partner!

            • jvsp

              You’re a self-confessed ignorant.

First familiarize yourself with the history about which you to be lecturing before you actually conduct class.

              LOL!

So you concede that you are wrong, but then you try to dredge up something else that you actually verified so that you can exonerate you prior lapse?

              LOL!

              • Irked

Prove my ignorance you troll! Read the post again! It pointed to the FACT that KKK members are openly Republican!!! Get out of your damn cave man!!! By the way do you have Bin Laden there too? Tell him I said hi!

                • jvsp

No, you did NOT say that the KKK is openly Republican. You ought to stick to citing your original claim, but I am all for creativity.

Your move is to disembowel your previous statement of all its semantic content so it will be more ecumenical. Ask Obama for directions.

                  • Irked

Didn’t have to say it it was implied! You do know what an implication is right my Padawan? Not going to go there as anyone reading the post (even you my friend) can see the implication of what was said. I’m a man, don’t need directions but I can tell you how to get to Keesler AFB or any other Military installation you need to. Is Bin Laden still rubbing you off?

                    • jvsp

                      LOL!

Your two statements that you believe are semantic equivalents are in fact not.

Don’t get down on yourself. You’re in good company. even Obama couldn’t make it through a first year course in logic…

You never served, but you do know how to use google.

                    • Irked

Don’t need to Google maybe you do? Name one Installation….Just one….you don’t even know what occurs other than what you are told to believe it is almost a comical farce talking to you! Thanks for the laughter god knows we need it with what your boy W lead us to in eight years!!! Name where you served if it all!!!!

                    • jvsp

One of the provisos in the bail out bill that was “slipped” in was to help a factory that produces wooden arrows. When you join the Obama youth brigade, private first class, you can have a bow and arrows!!! Imagine that! Then you can go hunt those bad PUMAs that are going to cost you the election.

                    • Irked

Still not naming an Installation you were at……..And the way they keep gutting the military our fighting men and women may have to use those arrows which is damn sad…Prove your service my friend…

                    • jvsp

The arrows are for the Obama youth brigade into which you will soon be drafted. LOL!!!

                      “..my friend..”

                    • Irked

Unfortunately I am too “old” for any youth brigade lol! jvsp I admire your conviction as it is admirable “my friend” but am still waiting on your Military (if any experience)….

              • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

                Irked…I get it now.

      Thank you for this post.

As the white mother of two biracial chilren, I would have LOVED to have voted for Sen. Obama. Having learned as much about him as I have on this site, and many others, that’s just not going to happen this year.

There will be another time, and hopefully our country will have another black candidate, someone of good judgement, someone of good character, someone who can be fair and well deserving, someone for whom I would be proud to vote. (Who knows–maybe one of my kids, since Sarah Palin has opened that up for ordinary working class!)

Unfortunately, though, this is not the year.

      • AF catfish

Corey Booker will run really soon. He’s rolling up his sleeves and working hard as mayor of Newark.

      • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

And why is that? If you’re hanging out here, I doubt that you’re viewing things with an unbias filter.

You say you have 2 bi-racial children, but don’t you don’t want them to grow up in world where they can strive to be anything they want?

How about try reading other sites to get the other side of the story. Watch all the debates; read Senator Obama’s and Senator McCain’s website; read their books; read as many articles as possible, then make your decision. I have a change of heart.

If you really have 2 biracial kids as you say, this tells me you’re not totally closed minded.

    • McHope

Beautiful and eloquent. I can’t imagine a person who could hear or read your words and not be moved.
A vote for Obama, despite the color of his skin, is a vote for oppression in another form.
      Thank you, xax.

      • Irked

I’m not moved. And as a veteran and patriot his steadfast REFUSAL to vote sickens and dishonors my Honorable service as a former member of the United States Air Force. How is it oppression? Prove the point without a RNC, McCain or Palin silver spoon fed talking point please!?!?

        • jvsp

You are no veteran. Pose elsewhere.

    • NoBamaNoWay

right on. unfortunately, obama has chosen to go the Malcom X route, instead of Dr. King’s. what a shame.

      • Irked

Prove that statement with something that isn’t a silver spoon fed RNC, McCain or Palin comment….

      • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Ummmmm, this comment is beyond words. Are you an expert in African-American studies? Read the auto-biography of Malcom X or the Audacity of Hope by Senator Obama?

Please post your proof. If you can’t, which I suspect, then look in the mirror and repeat 1000 times I’m a racist right-wing tool.

        • jvsp

The Audacity of “Hope” is one long string of banalities masquerading as profundity. Moreover, the title was lifted from one of Jeremiah Wright’s “sermons.” You know, that racially divisive pontificator who foams at the mouth while he delivers the word of “god”…

As for a “proof”, you wouldn’t know what constitutes a proof even if it ran you over.

How much do they pay you kids?

Go read the literature and mission statement of Trinity (for starters) and acquaint yourself with the theology. When one considers that Obama CHOSE at age 27 to join the “church” and sat in the pews for twenty years, who said of Wright that he was a spiritual mentor, an advisor, someone who baptized his children, one knows full well that Obama’s thoughts are largely governed by racial considerations. His failure to condemn the racially divisive elements of his campaign belies his claims to being the post-racial candidate. He has defined himself not as a bi-racial candidate who eschews the politics of race, but an AA who relies on race.

              • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

So this Trinity, statement, Senator Obama wrote this??

Hmmmm…failed to codemn the racially divisive elements in his party? LOLOLOLOLOL ((((TWILIGHT ZONE MUSIC)))) Cough cough…Palin.

Dear Xax, I loved your post. Thanks for sharing.

    • Irked

I served seven years in the military so people could vote if I gave my life for so noble a cause. People like you make me sick. Even if you HATE the way government is run you VOTE!!! I better not here you complaining about jack the next four to eight years.

      • jvsp

And with whom did you serve?

        • Irked

The United States Air Force protecting idiots like yourself. Whom do YOU serve?

          • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Irked, I served 10 years in the military, too. Funny, I bet 3/4 of these patriotic, conservative warmongers never laced up the combat boots and served our great country.

USA LOVE IT or LEAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • jvsp

First you said you “served” (past tense) and now you say “you serve” (present tense). As most soldiers do, you would have proudly stated your details.

Now, go google up your rank and where you served and the rest of it.

            • Irked

Oh you didn’t answer the question jvsp? Whom do YOU serve? I served my seven years and I know what rank I was when I left when your boy Bush made his little folly of a war move into Iraq because I saw the writing on the wall. Hell have you ever been in the military?

              • jvsp

You’re not a soldier, nor where you ever. Go enlist, walk point, and catch a bullet.

Now go to google and look for your rank, when you deployed, etc.

                You’re not a soldier. You’re a pusillanimous bitch.

                • Irked

I was an Airman you dolt! I am serving the ARmy right now at good ole Camp Bondsteel since I so love my country and will DO what I can to keep our fighting men and women safe!

Hell are you current or former military? Or do you hide in your shack with your sister at night?

Don’t need to Goggle it artard, I got an Honorable Discharge in 2002. I can say I served and with distinction, what the hell about you chumpwad?

                  • jvsp

You’re not a soldier. Go play Russian roulette with a clip loader. At least that way you wont be a loser.

                    • Irked

What part of I WAS AN AIRMAN (what you call members of our Air Force) do you not get? Don’t they show Reading Rainbow in your cave?

                    • jvsp

You never served, kid. If you want to, go and enlist.

                    • Irked

Hell answer my first question have you or do you currently serve our country in hte Armed Forces? I think not….

                    • Irked

Hell answer my first question have you or do you currently serve our country in the Armed Forces? I think not….

                    • jvsp

You’ve never served. Anyone who has served can see that. However, maybe you can serve in the Obama youth brigade and sing the Horst-wessel lied.

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

NO this comments proves you NEVER served. Typical Republican war monger. Send others off to fight their wars and smear veterans.

                    • Irked

Prove the facts as being contrary to what I have stated! I love my country, I love my fellow Amercians but you sir are drivle! You send others to fight for your principles and values but can’t bother to serve yourself! What a crock!

                    • jvsp

No, that comment doesn’t prove anything. It is merely a reassertion of what has already been clearly demonstrated. You are desperate for “credentials” you are unwilling to earn JUST like Obama, the deity before whom you prostrate yourself.

                    • Irked

Name one Military Installation you served at! I can name two (RAF Lakenheath and Camp Bondsteel) and several (among them RAF Mildenhall, Keesler AFB, Lackland AFB, and Ramstein AFB) that I have been to on visits. NAME JUST ONE PLACE YOU SERVED MAN!!!!! I am begging you to prove to me that I am not talking to an idiot who never served and wouldn’t know dress blues from a BDU pattern!!

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Deity Obama, Socialist Obama, Terrorist Obama, The One Obama…BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.

How about doing the impossible and talking up your candidate instead of tearing down the opponent? Can’t do that, huh? Yeah, it would be hard if I were on your side, trying to put lipstick on those pigs.

Pretty sad state of affairs within your own shallow mind, where you’re only voting against the opponent rather than for your own candidate…and probably at the detriment of your own interest (unless you’re a racist).

                    • jvsp

This is very important to you. The reason you could not provide any info up front is due to the fact you hadn’t googled any up. LOL! Still no rank? No date when you deployed, tours, etc.

                      “…visits…”

                      LOL!

There is still time to enlist.

                    • Diana

I did my boot at Fort Jackson Charlie 1, 1. I then went on to Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio Texas. 91B, 91C, 91S. Just to name a couple of bases. I too do not believe you ever served or your buddy.

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

                      Classy…JVSP still smearing veterans.

What was your MOS there JVSP? Since you are trying to imply you’re a veteran, which means we have something in common. Let’s have a friendly discussion on this common ground.

By the way impersonating a military veteran seems rather unpatriotic to me.

                    • Irked

For your info I left in 2002 as a Staff Sergeant, never deployed downrange becasue I worked in a lab with people who outranked me and therefore were selected first for deployments (in the Air Force they don’t just throw your ass out there like the Army and Marine Corp do), Lackland 1995, Keesler 1996, and RAF Lakenheath 1996-2002, FAITHFULLY serving our soldiers (what you call Army personnel you ignorant dolt) since 2002 in Kosovo. I did my seven years and then some. Name your dates of service and enlistment record if you can Repub! Doubt you got any battle scars!

                    • jvsp

The faux “democrat” fancies himself a soldier with a message.

Just explain the vote on FISA, refusing public finance, NAFTA, his failure to embrace HOLC.

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

                      Diana…

I was Air Force 29X51….I also work for the Army in 35H. I served near Fort Jackson at Shaw AFB in Sumter S.C. I can go on and on, but it really doesn’t matter to me if you guys believe me or not. It’s my other veteran buddy that you guys are tying to disporve.

I’m pointing out your blatant ignorance on other matters.

And yeah, there are patriots on both sides of the fence. You should know better since you served.

                    • Irked

How many times must you be told like a little child jvsp that I NEVER was a soldier, I was an AIRMAN AFSC 2P0X71 was my specialty!!! I also work as a 35H now for the Army in Kosovo at Camp Bondsteel. I shouldn’t have to explain Obama’s vote any more than you can McCain’s or his economic policies. I am not Obama and you sir are not McCain so it behooves us to be ourselves.

                    • jvsp

A “desk jockey” that never saw a tour… This is almost amusing. …out there on the web trying to prove that you served. Absolutely priceless!!!

                      “..worked..”

                      “..my other veteran buddy…”

                      ROTFL!

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Desk Jockey that never saw a tour…you would be wrong, genius.

Classy…still smearing veterans! I guess we can’t expect anymore from the Swift Boat Party.

                    • Irked

jvsp America is still waiting to see if you are a veteran or a poser son. I have Presidential Unit citations from RAF Lakenheath due to our operations in Iraq and Kosovo, you make fun of our service but you can’t mention whether you did or not. Is it possible that you didn’t but are eager to claim the service of those as your own? Are you or have you been a soldier or are you a cheerleader who can’t afford to enlist and get his knuckles dirty for your country? I suspect the latter my friend…

                    • jvsp

Good luck with the ASVAB! You’re gonna need it!

                    • Diana

It is your comment below this one that angered me. You know unlike most here I could have probably voted for Obama, till I found out two things. How he voted on the Born Alive Infant Act and his relationship with Raila Odinga. It was Obama who alerted me to Raila. Not No Quarter when he told CNN he had taken calls from Raila in New Hampshire.

So he goes to Kenya in both 2006 and 2007. He campaigns for Raila in 2006. We know he did this from CNN, CBS, ABC, and the BBC. Raila is accused of Genocide in Kenya because he lost the election. 60 men, women and children burned alive just for being Christians. 1,500 more hacked to death with machete’s. 500,000 more now homeless. Obama knows about this. The whole world does. Yet he’s silent, not only is he silent on it…he’s taking phone calls from the man who promoted this. The very man who got his supporters to do this during the primaries. Who said I can’t do anything to stop it because people didn’t vote for me.

To hold up the born alive infant act for 3 years claiming it was different then the federal version when in fact it was the exact same. As infants that were born alive were left in soiled linen closets gasping for air…too much. To say that infants that survive their abortion are not afforded the same constitution rights as we are?!? We don’t let dogs die like that. No wonder he hasn’t addressed Raila’s genocide and that he’s still talking to him, has a relationship with him. He committed genocide of our most innocent. Infants. Those who have no voice.

That is why I’ll never support Obama.

                    • Irked

I scored an 80 on my ASAVP in 1995 with a 92 in Electronics my friend…When you going to fight and enlist for our great Armed Forces?

                    • jvsp

Boast away. I couldn’t care less. I don’t need to boast.

You’re very needy. It’s almost embarrassing to read your posts.

                    • jvsp

                      ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!

                      “..ASAVP..”

Your in the shallow end of the distribution trying to tread water.

                      LOL!

                    • Irked

Well you should be embarrassed that you can’t answer whether or not you have military service, just comical really. Oh and now I am boasting because I am PROUD of my military service? Wow I thought that was the most patriotic act (besides voting) that any American can undertake. Guess according to you I am wrong, so sad really. Anywhoo what is Bin Laden doing to you now?

                    • jvsp

Really, what do they pay you kids? Sincerely. Can’t they provide you with some novel material. It’s shameless that they have you up on a school night playing make believe.

                    • Irked

Name your service record or can you? Simple right? My greatest accomplishment was being born American and secondly taking that oath to defend our nation Son. Got screwy with ASAVP when I meant to type ASVAB but hey I am not perfect, otherwise I would be “God”. As for pay, they pay me enough to help our troops keep Russia, China, North Korea and Iran from walking down your streets at night son.

                    • jvsp

“Got screwy with ASAVP when I meant to type ASVAB ”

Go away. You’re a shameless impostor.

                    • Irked

Name your service record troll….Or even an Overseas US Military Installation….Who’s more fool? The fool or the one who follows? Guess it is time for your Bin Laden reach around now so that MUST be why you can’t answer about a service record son…

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

                      @Diana again…

I do know anything about this Odinga guy. I will look it up, but I doubt it will change my position. But again, like everything there are 2 sides to every story.

I mean us ELITIST EVIL LEFTIES could absolutely smear Senator McCain and Govenor Palin’s character to shreds. There is definitely enough material out there.

                    • jvsp

I asked for your details, service record a long time ago. You wouldn’t even provide a rank let alone anything else. You couldn’t provide them. If you felt so strongly about your service, especially after having boasted about it stomping about on the thread as such, you would have willingly provided them at the get go. You didn’t. You googled them like every other impostor and now parade about with that which you never earned.

                    • Irked

                      Diana,

We have differing views but I do love and respect with the utmost your service to our nation.

I cannot fathom why anyone would harm a child. Not cool in my book!

I agree to disagree with you but that doesn’t mean we can’t debate and try to get along as Americans. Glad to see the fringes of both sides can be civil when the talking point (something you made sure to post so it can be looked at and your view known) is there and we’re not tearing down or smearing the other person’s life history.

                    • Irked

jsvp for the umpteenth time here it is: Left in 2002 as a Staff Sergeant (E-5), served at Lackland 1995, Keesler 1996, RAF Lakenheath 2002 and have been in Kosovo since 2002. No need to Google as my AFSC is 2P0X71 which is in the Precision Measurement Career Field which is what I decide to be trained in when I enlisted in Oct. 1995. Made my last rank the second time I tested. The lab I worked it was at RAF Feltwell about 10 miles for Lakenheath and we got top marks on our 1996 and 1998 AGMC Evaluation Assessments. Kind of hard to google so specific an amount of info don’t ya think? Especially when my replies are so quick to answer yours huh? So again prove your service record if any…

                      Googled. Save. Paste.

                      LOL!

No wonder you vote for Obama. Your lives are so empty you NEED something, in this case Obama, to satisfy that need. After this election you are still going to be you. It wont be some sort of redemptive event. You’re still going to be on the web googling up info, saving it and pasting it and the rest of it.

The very fact that you are so insistent, zealous even, nay, desperate, about your supposed “service” is sort of amusing. LOL!

                      You never served.

You are just binary code to me. The very fact that you are so

                    • Irked

Well if you served than post it and if I made it all up just ask me something Air Force specific. You are comical and I have sure had fun today, the fact you can’t or won’t post a record means: YOU HAVE NONE!!! I don’t need Obama to validate myself but do you need McCain for that purpose? Bin Laden didn’t give you enough love, oh I am so sorry….Heck you seem to be a smart guy so I tell you what, let me know which town to visit so I can buy you a beer and we can wax poetic about this November 5th. The smiles you have put on my face today are worth me buying and tieing one off with you. I like you jvsp, you are a worthy American now let’s get together and have that beer friend! We agree to disagree which is cool and I would feel good buying you a beer. God I love this country!!

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Irked, why try and prove anything to this freakin’ moron? He is an obvious Repulican of the Swift Boat Variety. He doesn’t honor veterans or their service. Like his favorite Presidential candidate he is using the honor of veterans to push his own agenda.

                    • jvsp

What is it that makes you care so much? You REALLY care what I think of you. Why am I so important that you have spent so much time trying to prove this to me?

At some point you need to let go. I’m being sincere. Please find someone with whom you can talk. At first it was amusing. Now, it is sort of disturbing.

Do something healthy and get out. Take a walk.

                      I really do not care.

                    • Irked

I still want to have that beer since you earned it…Only seems fair lol

                      []

                      Cheers

                    • Irked

Hey jvsp have two (one for you and one for me too), love Scotch myself I do…Drink one for me man…

                      Ciao friend

                • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Hmmmm…I guess us veterans don’t see America the same way as the NOQUARTER CIRCLE JERK.

                  We are not-Real Americans……….LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

            • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

No I said I served…idiot. I’m not in the military anymore, but I still work for the military.

Matter-of-fact I’m on a military camp right now protecting your right to your ignorant opinion.

              • JustMe

hey idiot the only place you two have served by the sound of your anger is in the burger joint….

If you do not like it here were not nailing you to the floor move on

                • Irked

Hey if you feel that way why don’t we all leave and give the land back to the Native Americans who had it in the first place! I am sure you and your partner need time to cuddle now so we’ll make it easy on you.

                • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Angry…Please, don’t give yourself that much credit. You idiots couldn’t raise my blood temperature 1 degree. You’re too stupid for me take seriously. This is entertainment for me.

I gladly serve and served our country so idiots like you can voice their opinion.

                  • jvsp

You don’t have blood. It’s koo-aid that runs in your veins. After Nov. 5th you need to seek out the nearest methadone clinic.

Now, just a hint, look both ways before you cross the street.

                    LMAO!

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Ok, this was fun with you, but you’re now proving to be a bore with your accutely obvious lack of intellect.

By the way, I’m not the one who will need to go to a clinic on 5 November. I have evolved as a human being…now your kind and the rest of this circle jerk might need some mental counseling. Don’t want you robbing gun stores or anything like that.

              • jvsp

LOL! Be sure to answer with the right sock puppet.

                • Irked

Or we could just take your women and make you even more angry…

                  • jvsp

Your almost amusing. Dead people (you know, the “people” who “vote” for your deity) could outwit you by mistake.

                    • Irked

Or they could all live in caves with you and still believe that W was the best thing that ever happened to our country and the modern world.

                    • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

Oh so now Democrats steal elections? What alternate reality are you living in? Or maybe your only 7 years old.

    • Irked

True we shouldn’t vote for him based on his color, I give you that but you still irk me for the simple fact that if I got killed while I was on active duty you REFUSE to excercise your right to vote as a patriot and an American. Sickening!

      • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

I agree with Irked. I served this country so an idiot like you could vote.

But that’s ok, though…judging by your posts, you not voting is a vote taken away from the McCain/Palin ticket anyway.

    • DAB

Beautiful post XAX. Thank you so much. See my post (DAB) a bit above yours regarding how black canvassers are helping out in PA. If you live in a swing state, please consider getting involved.

FROM MY POST: “Democrats they contacted were very receptive to voting for McCain. Black PUMA canvassers were particularly successful in convincing them that they were not racist if they didn’t vote for Obama.”

  • Alice Paul WPB

I think she is wonderful. She never freezes up and thinks so quick in stressful situations. I would choke up (as I always do) under pressure.

I never watched her before this year because I never watched Fox until this year. Oh what a strange year it has been, I even watch O’Reily!!!!

Can’t believe it will be over next week. I’m not sure if I’m relieved or totally petrified.

I’m trying to keep a clear head. Still blogging, getting the word out in my circle of influence, praying…and above all, voting for McCain/Palin on Nov. 4th.

Regardless of the outcome…NQ will still be here…and we must fight to keep it so.

  • Andrew

I have the same experience xax. I’m half black and I see my father and other black people all trapped up in the Black-thing. I don’t understand. Sick!!!

    • Irked

Well if you and xax feel that way go back to Africa and leave America to all those who want to be involved with the process of trying to make this country as great and if not greater than it is. So anti-American! And for the record not ALL African-Americans are caught up in the whole blame the “system” or “whitey” for their ills. There are some who take responsibility for their actions and hold themselves accountable because they were raised that way which seems like your uncle’s and the people you interact with sole problem.

  • Disgusted

That guy is such a tool.

    • No Way, No How, NoBama

Bill Burton, Stephanie Cutter… I don’t know why these two nasty nitwits don’t turn people off. Glad Megan shut him down. LOL

      • democrat

You don’t know why they don’t turn people off? Well, it’s because most people disagree with the Bush/McCain economic policies because they can see how damaging they have been. They prefer Obama’s approach which is a standard Democratic approach, very close to Bill Clinton’s.

        • Mary Kay

Ummmm how old were you in the 90′s? No offense but… “Standard approach?” Hello!

Bill Clinton raised taxes when the dollar was worth more and ONLY to balance the budget. We were reinvesting it our own country. Paying off the deficit opened up credit markets and opportunity. It’s just like when you pay off your credit cards, everyone wants to offer you more credit because your credit score is higher. That’s a lame example, I know, but it’s the same principle, only on a different scale.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; the markets opened high when Hillary won primaries and opened low when Obama won. It’s a fact. Check it out. It’s because Hillary is perceived to be a centrist while Obama a socialist. There is a big difference in the way markets respond.

Obama has no intention of balancing the budget. He wants bigger government and less growth and less personal responsibility. He wants us to give our money to someone who doesn’t work as hard. That’s NOT what Bill Clinton stood for, thank you! Clinton NEVER STOOD IN THE WAY OF GROWTH!

        • Ani

Bill Clinton? You’re kidding. Bill Clinton would not raise taxes in a recession. Bill Clinton also does not want to privatize Social Security. Bill Clinton also wanted to impose tighter banking regulations but the Dems said no.

        • dpvegas

Standard approach? No, this is not the Democratic Party that I knew and supported. I want the old Party back, the one of FDR.

These people are not it. They’re just a newer version of the Bolsheviks.

        • torlando77

          You really are uneducated.

The difference between Clintons (39%) top tax rate and Bushes (35%) is nothing. and Clinton and Bush have the same corporate tax rate (http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/23561.html) Obama is talking top tax rates up to 50% and about increasing the corporate tax rates. All the while increasing spending at rates higher then Bush (who increased spending at twice the rate as Clinton) Obama’s fiscal policies are nothing like Clinton.

He proposes to tax like Carter and spend like Bush. Nothing he is proposing resembles Clinton

          • I’mBetterThanYou ((Elitist))

You sir are an absolute LIAR! Does anybody here rely on facts, rather than Repub talking points?

        • KathyNeocon

They prefer Obama’s approach which is a standard Democratic approach, very close to Bill Clinton’s.

Obama’s approach is borderline communism, as his control of the MSM, but you and the rest of the Obots are either too stupid to see it or you agree with him. Either way you’re all insane. And Obama is nothing like Bill Clinton–like Scarlett O’Hara said, he’s not fit to wipe Clinton’s boots. :D

        • NoBamaNoWay

in case you didn’t notice, “democrat,” the dems have been complicit in almost every one of BushCo’s crimes. there might have been a time when dems stood up for working people; that time is gone. they don’t stand for anything except their own self-promotion.

The GOP trust has attack ads ready to go…you can see them and donate to get them out to swing states here:

The one on Rev. Wright is particularly hard-hitting.

  • Andrew

Alice, I have that same feeling. I only want it to be over if I get the result I want, otherwise I want the time extended.

  • Chicago Joe

Bill Burton is a smarmy swiny liar.

  • Illinois_gal

1…2…3… He’s out!! Megyn did a great job of shutting this nut up!!

  • Seattle McMoss

I have just figured out how to get back into the game.

The tide is turning..We’re going to win this!!!

Just say NO WAY…To Marxist liberation reparation theology

    • Andrew

Way to go McMoss. I’m tired of these bots. My English teacher today said that Obama will win in a landslide and so there is no point.

      • Seattle McMoss

        Andrew..
When I was your age I was part of the Reagan revolution. Carter had left this country empty and patriotism was on the wane. We had 20% unemployment record inflation and interest rates were sky rocketing. I could only get a job at the local paint store before it went bust.
When I proclaimed my independence from my liberal parents and all around me I felt alone in my support for Reagan.
I’m now what you call a Reagan democrat who left the republican party in the mid 80′s and have voted straight democrat since 1984.
I never thought that I would ever come back to the Republican party but this year I have in the same way I did way back in 1980
        Country First..Always!

    • Peggy Sue

Boy, I hope you’re right, Seattle Moss!

But I’ve sensed for over two weeks that a big wave was forming. I sense it even more with only a week left. There’s a tension in the air as if something is about to blow apart. I’ve got a feeling, a premonition [maybe a big wish] that this audio tape last night is the first of many more revelations that will change everything.

You know I heard John McCain say a few weeks ago: elections are won and lost in the last 72 hours. McCain has my vote and I pray to God, he’s far wiser than I am in political savvy department.

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Not an easy child to look at, Bill Burton. If his eyes were just a little closer together, he would have one.

Yes he does have a face like a plumber’s tool bag, doesn’t he?

  • Buzz Latte

I saw this smackdown. It was great to see Kelly shut the liar up!!

If he (Burton) represents Obama, then it will be far worse to have Obama in the WH than Bush Jr ever was!!

  • Geoff

OT: You all notice this part of the 2001 tape?
Disgusting. This story is set to blow up tomorrow/tonight.

The audio recording of Barack Obama espousing his socialist philosophy of “redistribution of wealth” is all over the Internet and Fox News today (although most other media outlets are ignoring it), but there’s another disturbing section on that tape that has so far escaped notice.

The link to the audio is here: Chicago Public Radio – Audio Library: Odyssey.

At about 15:30, Obama compares what was going on in the United States during the time of Brown vs. the Board of Education to … Nazi Germany. Yes, really. Here’s the quote:

“…just to take a, sort of a realist perspective…there’s a lot of change going on outside of the Court, um, that, that judges essentially have to take judicial notice of. I mean you’ve got World War II, you’ve got uh, uh, uh, the doctrines of Nazism, that, that we are fighting against, that start looking uncomfortably similar to what we have going on, back here at home.”

There you have it. America is close to electing a President who compares his own country to Nazi Germany.

    • drkate

I think he is referring to Bush as we all felt this was what was happening –patriot act, spying, torture, detention, etc.

but conveniently he fails to draw the comparison with his own campaign now, how he is using the same tactics with is robot thugs.

This WILL be an interesting end for this foreign national trying to become president of the United States as America votes him down in the popular vote and electoral college.

      • NoTrollZone

Brown v. Board of Education is a case that is decades old. Well before any Bushes were in the white house.

    • KenNOhio

Isnt it ironic that he made this statement 5 days before September the 11th 2001. I guess at that time he had the same view of this great country as did Reverand Wrong and a dozen or so others…

  • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName

I took my mom to the drs today…TV on tuned to CNN in the waiting room the entire time we were waiting (45 minutes). They bashed Sarah Palin the ENTIRE time and not even over her political views…they are still on the stupid wardrobe thing.

I was observing the folks in the waiting room…a group of 5 or 6 AA women, middle aged and older, laughed and twittered appreciatively at the Palin bashing. The white folks who were waiting just kept their heads in their magazines, but I know they heard and saw what was going on.

    • NoTrollZone

This is where I just get up and change the channel.
The waiting room is there for the patients comfort.
If you’re uncomfortable then you just have to turn the TV off or put it on ESPN.

      • NoTrollZone

well, this was in response to the person who was in the waiting room and CNN was doing it’s regular
        Palin slandering.

But in the two minutes it took me to write it, I see a troll landed like a cow patty in the middle of our discussion.

Please folks, would you ignore these noxious
little MOFOs that congregate here? There’s three feet of total BS because you all are feeding them.

Please ignore them… I hate having to try and read your guys interesting, insightful comments

    • NoBamaNoWay

this is exactly what obamabots want; racial separatism. blacks voted 90+% for obama in the primaries, making certain to everybody that they saw this election as being about race. great. pretty soon we’ll all be getting along as good as the sunnis and shias.

      • LiberalTroll

By your asinine post, it is obvious this is your first time voting. Wonder what brought you out of the word work, hmmmm, could it be racism?

It’s not hard to figure out, at all. Here in the 21st Century we have this thing that your candidate likes to call “the Google”.

On “the google” you can find: Blacks have been voting at a 90% clip for Democrats since the Dixiecrats fled to the Republican party in the 60s. Why did they do this?? Answer this one, freakin’ genius.

You need to stop reading your skinhead propoganda

Sunni and shia…duh I made a funny. LOLOLOL JEEZUS where do you guys come from?

  • NoBama

Megyn is a lawyer and has quick legal mind. Burton thinks she is a dumb blond, so acts like a dick like all Obama supporters. I loved it. I hoped more media outlets in the last week do the same.

BTW, I get New York magazine at home and guess whose ugly mug is on the cover- Barrack Obama with an article about what the new obama presidency would look like. How typical of the elite snobs.

    • AF catfish

I get that mag too. It seems like the MSM is just asking for an upset. They’re just trying to see if they can do this.

  • trails

I loved it. When he argued and got in her face (typical Obot tactic), she got back at him just as hard, just as strong. I resent the way they try to talk us down into submission.

    No how. No way. Nobama!

  • Dan

Hey Larry, if that “Whitey Tape” is really out there, I think now would be a good time!

    • It’s Not Me

I do believe Larry posted about the tape last week and said that McCain has nixed it and told the 527s NOT to air it. He remembers what the idiot-in-chief did to Cindy in 2000 and doesn’t want to do the same to Michelle, I hate America, Obama. IMCPO, I think McCain needs to bring the gun to the gunfight. Does anyone think if THE ONE had a video of Cindy ranting about AAs, he wouldn’t have his hit men release it???? HELL NO! McCain needs to rethink his strategy if he wants to win this. He needs to play just as dirty as THE ONE does/would.

Excellent compilation of visuals. I clearly remember the conspiratorial huddle between Kennedy and Obama as they sneered at the lovely Hillary who was trying to make the best of a difficult situation at the State of the Union Address. Wish your vid could be seen by everyone because it speaks volumes.

  • decentAmerican

Bravo to Megyn Kelly! This reminds me of the beating that Campbell Brown on CNN gave to Tucker bounds, the difference is that all the MSM aired that one, yet i predict that the MSM will try to bury this one with Bill Burton, to avoid embarassing the ObamaTRash.

They buried the Biden threatening national security story.

They buried Biden’s embarassing interviews with the Florida and Philly news stations, and him banning these stations. Can you imagine what woudl happen if these intereviews were from Palin?

the MSM has betrayed the public trust. thank God for the internet. the Obama audio has been viewed on youtube approaching 2 million now, and it has been less than 24 hours!

Illumananti’s Berg interview is now viewed by over 3 million.

I want the whitey tape! Please GOP, don’t let us down, dont give up, anything is necessary to save this country from the enemy Obama!

Perhaps release it Wendesday morning, to perfectly counter Obama’s love fest informercial that night?

Can Berg get to the US Supreme Court about the BC before election day?

    • DAB

An extremely effective, ominous McCain ad featuring Biden’s warning about an impending attack is being aired here in Florida. It is being joined by “We are Joe the Plumber” and an empty oval office chair that declares that our current meltdown will “be Obama’s first crisis”.

All three are extremely strong and may have the same last-minute effect as Hillary’s “3 o’clock” ads did. The first two ads can be seen at McCain’s website but the chair one is put out by the RNC and I haven’t been able to find that one on the web.

I imagine that all three of them are playing in swing states since McCain saved his biggest ad buy for this week.

A case of: I know you are but what am I?

    • Docelder

I think the PeeWee Herman analogy fits him well. “I know you are but what am I?” Stupid as it sounds… thinking about it. That’s been a large part of the strategy. The bots from Burton to McCaskill to Alan Colmes… all share a common consciousness. They will pick some asinine line of logic and interrupt all opposing viewpoints with their asinine swill. The stupidest part is the “one liner” need not eve be relevant to the discussion… it just has to be Axelrod approved. They are a sad bunch. If Obama wins… the people who support him the most will be the ones most hurt by him. The lower middle class will enter a life of perpetual servitude. Maybe some of these folks find a perverse comfort in knowing they can never succeed in life. Maybe it’s the crutch they need. The rest of us will persevere no matter what happens. Standing in a government food line is not for most Americans.

I watched Megyn chew Burton up too. Great job girl! If you had told me a year ago that I’d be watching Fox news and fighting against the Democratic nominee, I’d have said ‘You go to hell!’ Its breathtaking what’s happened to my beloved Democratic party. But its come to this: Obambi/Pelosi/Reid/Brazille/Dean must be defeated and driven from office.

  • http://rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com AmyinSC

Bill Burton is the PERFECT spokesperson for Obama – he is arrogant, condescending, obnoxious, lying, bully. Every time I hear him, I cannot believe people could watch him and NOT be completely turned off by him and his Ruler.

Megyn did a GREAT job with him, as she usually does. She does NOT let him get away with free advertising when he launches into the Obama Playbook. I guess all that lawyering really paid off for her! :-)

  • Patti

Strong women kick ass.. I think FOX has been pretty good overall. I like Morning JOe occasionally but that Mika is a pissant. She has a way of talking down to everyone except those who believe in the crap she is spewing.

I do not believe this election is over. I think OBama and his supporters want everyone to think that way. Hmm I guess thats what vote early, vote often means.

  • nomobama

    ha,ha,ha,ha,ha

I used to dislike Fox news, but they’re number 1 with me this year. Way to shut down that Alfred E. Newman look-alike!

  • Jason

I thought Megyn was fantastic in that clip – Bill Burton is such an a-hole like everyone else in Obama’s campaign. He just repeats the same catchphrases over and over and over. These people really are like a religious cult and it’s frightening. No amount of reasoning will prevent them from chanting their pre-scripted mantra.

However, did she have to let him get away with the 95% lie? How much longer do Obamabots think they can get away with this bull?

On a side note, I was reading this analysis of McCain’s economic plan versus Obama’s on the Heritage Foundation’s website – they do some pretty nifty economic modeling and analysis to forecast the effects of both candidate’s tax plans. Take a look. The differences are astounding when you look at the charts. John McCain is leaps and bounds ahead of Obama in terms of job creation and economic growth. This is what I’ve been saying for weeks now, that Obama’s tax plan is a disaster for our long term growth – it’s merely a bowl of candy to win the votes of a desperate electorate who seem not to care about the long term effect that candy will have on their teeth.

    http://www.heritage.org/Research/taxes/cda08-09.cfm

I’ve just started reading the excellent George Reisman’s epic tome “Capitalism” (also available online as a free pdf) and he brings up a pretty good point – which is that long term economic planning is best left up to individuals and businesses and not politicians, because politicians don’t really care about the long term effects of economic policy beyond the term of their administration. All they care about is making themselves look good and winning popularity in the range of the moment, whereas the individual HAS to think about his or her long term future.

Obama is the range of the moment politician who cares about bribing voters with short term gains. He doesn’t care about our lives in the long run. McCain may not be an economic expert but at least he’s thinking about long term growth, even at the expense of his own popularity. He understands that money is best left in the hands of those who earn it, especially when we’re talking about the most productive in society.

    • ObamaISaFRAUD

The Heritage link is very informative.

    • AnninCA

Yes, his surrogates need to bone up on the tax issues.

They could tighten the polls even more if they sharpen the message.

Today, there’s an excellent article on IBD. You can access it through RCP.

It spells out just why in the IBD polls, investors are fleeing from Obama. IBD showed McCain within 3 points yesterday. There’s a reason. The tax message is sinking in.

      Increase in capital gains…..deadly now.
Return to the death tax…….let’s all pay the lawyers!
Increase on business tax….while we are the 2nd highest in the world right now.

      Disastrous.

More good news. Zolgby poll today shows John clipped another point. Down to 4.

  • postmaster

    great post, xax, thanks

  • Tom K.

Okay, now McCain-Palin have to start nailing Obama on the death tax. My parents like millions of others of their generation have managed to do ok. They live in the same modest house I was born in, they’re retired and have a fairly comfortable life because they’ve worked hard all of their lives, been frugal, and invested well. They also have a small lakehouse in northern Michigan. Some of the happiest memories of our lives happened at that little place on the lake, and now my young nieces and nephews are enjoying the place as we did when my brother and sister and I were kids. My parents are very fearful that when they die the estate tax is going to force us to sell the place and lose this important family treasure. I think a lot of families are afraid that what they’ve spent their entire lives building will be sucked into a blackhole of taxes.

Maybe McCain needs to put out a new commercial highlighting a situation like this: Barack Obama wants to lower the threshold on the death tax and take what hardworking people–essentially middle class people–have labored their entire lives to put together and then he wants to give it away to others. They could show a cute cottage on a pristine lake, pan camera to show a thirty- or early fortysomething couple next to the cottage with a preschool-aged kid and a baby in the mother’s arms. The dad says to the mom: “Mom and Dad loved this place. They always wanted it to stay in the family so their grandchildren could share the kind of great times we had here growing up.” The camera could start panning again until it lights upon a for-sale sign. The dad says: “But Barack Obama’s death tax stole that dream. With all the taxes the government took from their nest egg, I don’t know if we’ll be able to get enough by selling the place to cover the tax bill.”

Anyone got contacts in the campaign? Maybe you can pass this along.

  • kbdabear

Thank God that there are still conservatives in the MSM who haven’t gone over to the dark side. (uh-oh, how racist of me)

I greatly admire the PUMA’s on this site, liberal or not. You have fought on and stuck to your principles, not thrown your own under the bus like David Frum, Peggy Noonan, Chris Buckley et al. They’ve decided to join the Obamessiah Chorus in exchange for a pat on the head and dinner party invites from the “with it crowd” in the MSM

Fight on PUMAs! I will continue to visit this site whether I agree or not, because you’ve shown honesty and integrity here that I wish some so-called conservative sites have not.

don’t confuse being good with being good at talking over people – Megyn talked over Burton, and it didn’t look good. She’s the journalist interviewing a guest – she’s supposed to let -him- talk. Whatever else the interview demonstrated, it demonstrated her lack of professionalism.

What can I say? except you gotta be kidding.

      • zanne

This comment was directed toward JO

You’re wrong – Burton was clearly interrupting and talking over her. She simply refused to take his incessant whining and rudeness and asserted herself in taking control of an interview in which she was in the driving seat, not him. I think she came across magnificently.

she would be a good debater. but not an interviewer.

Democrat for McCain / Palin. Fight the corrupt DNC and it’s fraud candidate. Expressing anger, disgust or other negative views of Obama and the DNC, but then failing to choose the McCain/Palin ticket is in effect supporting the Democratic ticket. A no vote for McCain is a vote for Obama. Please vote McCain if you are a Democrat. You may not like his policies per se, but as a fellow Democrat, I am totally disgusted with the sham that was the Democratic primary. They need to be taught a lesson. A McCain presidency, although not perfect, will be ten times better than the possible Obamanation. Dissent will be crushed with Obama at the helm. We need to stop him now, not later!

    • Rocky Mountain High

I’m with you 100%. I used to be Democrat and after the way they treated Hillary during the primary and paid their SDs to ‘select’ not ‘elect’ Obama, the DNC has become corrupt. I can no longer support them or their candidates. For all the voting irregularies, the caucus fraud and their blatant sexism, they do not deserve to be rewarded with this election. I refuse to be held hostage by abortion rights. Feminism means way more than just the right to have an abortion. I and my family just voted today for McCain/Palin and I feel great!

Finally Barack Obama’s core philosophy is out! This 2001 interview states it quite clearly and with no wiggle room. In ADDITION to his desire to seek means to acheive ‘redistributive change’ by the transfer of wealth he is profoundly ambivalent about the constitution itself.

“To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendancy to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.”

The very purpose of the constitution is to LIMIT THE POWERS OF THE GOVERNMENT. Obama does not agree with the very BASIS of the U.S. Constitution.

    • democrat

Obama didn’t say that the Warren Court was wrong. In fact, if you listen to the whole thing, he says the court was right not to move beyond those constitutional principles. You’ve misinterpreted what Obama said.

      • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeiWegQx0kc Jeremiah God Damn The MSM for Whitewashing Barack Amerikkka Wright

actually he says the warren Court wasn’t radical enough. He also states its too hard to redistribute the wealth through the courts. That it should be done from grass roots organizations on up as an executive and legislative agenda.

What he lays out is his plan for redistributing the wealth and its pretty insidious.

You could actually call it the Saul Alynski model but then Obama was never one to give credit to anything that came out of his mouth properly.

Sorry you are to ignorant to actually understand what your messiah was saying…too bad for you.

        • athy

          Jeremiah,
          Thanks for that recap.
One thing that bothered me about Obama’s statement

(its too hard to redistribute the wealth through the courts. That it should be done from grass roots organizations on up as an executive and legislative agenda)

          is the following fact:

Our founding fathers set up a system of checks and balances which included 3 official parts (executive, legislative, and judicial) and 1 unofficial part (the media- the Fourth estate).

Obama seeks to bypass the judicial portion of the system of checks and balances altogether in an effort to redistribute wealth more efficiently?

If this is what his intentions are, then the goal is to create a crack in this 3 part system of checks and balances. This is what our founding fathers feared the most inour country .that is why the judicial branch is included in the system of checks and balances. If ANYONE TRIES TO IMPLEMENT ANY POLICIES IN OUR COUNTRY THAT PEOPLE MAY SUSPECT GO AGAINST OUR CONSTITUTION- then the judicial system comes into play. The policy or action is compared to what the laws of our land say (CONSTITUTION AND BILL OF RIGHTS) .

We are a nation of laws-not men.
If we bypass the judicial sytem-as Sen Obama wants to do with regrads to wealth redistribution- we eliminate transparency and accountability and DESTROY the only tool we citizens have at our disposal to protect our country’s foundation.

OUR SYSTEM OF CHECKS AND BALANCES IS THE ENVY OF THE WORLD. THIS IS WHAT MAKES OUR FORM OF GOVERNMENT SO UNIQUE AND REVERED.Eliminate this sytem of checks and balances by weakeneing ANY component of this system (the executive, legislative, or judicial branch participation …and the media…and our ENTIRE SYSTEM OF CHECKS AND BALANCES WILL GET DESTROYED over time and with that, so will the foundation of our nation.

DO PEOPLE REALIZE WHAT SEN OBAMA WAS REALLY SAYING IN THAT STATEMENT THAT HE PASSED OFF SO CASUALLY??? PEople seeking to destroy our country from the inside probably understood him loud and clear.

          • KathyNeocon

Our Founding Fathers must be OLLING OVER IN THEIR GRAVES at The Precious’s attempt to turn this country into some Communistic, Dictatorship, Monarchy goulash.

Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Franklin, McHenry, Hamilton, Livingston, Blair, King, Gorham et al.–We will do everything we can to save this great Nation you set the building blocks for.

            • KathyNeocon

Oy–that’s ROLLING OVER IN THEIR GRAVES

          • jbjd

Well said, athy; this is the inherent danger in BO’s statements. That is, in his opinion, the “tragedy” of the civil rights movement is that the courts were unwilling to legislate from the bench, thereby breaching the separation of powers, the checks-and-balances principle underlying the U.S. Constitution.

      • streetparade

        I have quoted Obama verbatim.

The purpose of the US Constitution is to limit the powers of government…Obama seeks a MASSIVE increase in the powers of government for the purpose of ‘redistributive change’.

If someone tells you who they are…BELIEVE THEM.

  • OxyCon

I can’t stand the sight of that MF’er Burton. He’s an immature, cocky a-hole who thinks he can intimidate and ridicule so long as his guy is on top in the polls.
I think it’s time for some citizen journalists to look into all aspects of this c__ksucker’s life and also for government computers to be accessed looking for dirt on him.
If that kind of treatment is good enough for Joe the Plumber, than it’s good enough for Obama’s little trained monkey Burton.

  • Evgenia

I resent that Burton is being introduced as Obama campaign spokesman in interviews, he should be correctly addressed as official Minister of Propaganda instead. I think Burton was also caught off guard by Megyn Kelly’s hard-hitting and non-fawning interview, he probably thought she was some dumb blonde teleprompter reader like most so-called journalists on television.

Obama’s income redistribution plan will have half of the country officially on welfare i.e. people who don’t pay taxes are going to get checks from people who pay steep income taxes, like me, via the government. It really pisses me off when I, like millions of others, are trying to better myself economically by pursuing an advanced degree. The government already take out 6k from my paycheck every month, and that’s before the income tax that I pay every April. So why am I working full-time and pursuing a doctorate at the same time while I’m being taxed to oblivion? To spread the wealth around? At this point I should just quit school and get a job that’ll pay me less than 40K. Better, I’ll just sit around and wait for my Obama checks to come around every month.

Great job Megyn! Is it just coincidence that the only reporters who have the guts to really stand up to BO’s clan are both women?

What’s this stupid headline about Palin going rouge? What a woman can’t have an opinion? I say good for her! The last thing we need is another “Yes, sir!” girl in the establishment. You know what, my family were all lifelong democrats until DNC stole our votes for Hilary. When we started considering the McCain/Palin ticket, we had our reservations too. Palin was somewhat foreign to us, and although we did not dislike her, we did not jump on her bandwagon right away. But as we observe the events unfolding in the MSM and how they try so hard to character assassinate Palin based on fluff, the more we started rooting for her. I’ve come to the conclusion that Obots who cannot explain coherently why they hate Palin so much are just so so jealous of her. She is one of the few women in this world, who has it all – good-looking, great career, great family with 5 kids, good-looking husband, and now she’s even gonna be a proud grandma.

To add insult, I have a few Obot-friends who claim they are not really in it for BO but are voting for him because they think Palin in scary. What BS! She’s running as VP, so why are they comparing her to BO? And these Obots are nuts if they completely discount McCain from the picture. I happen to think that he would make a great POTUS and it was an excellent political move to pick Palin as his running mate.

    • oowawa

Yes, Meg was great. It’s so easy for some to look at her and dismiss her as just another dishy blonde on television–and then her eloquence and intelligence destroys them. She reminds me of the sharp blonde cookie that Ms. Witherspoon plays in “Legally Blonde.”

Similarly, many have looked at Sarah Palin and seen her as a stereotype–the good looking woman with very little in her head. But she didn’t get the nickname “Barracuda” for nothing.

People underestimate these intelligent and very formidable women at their own peril.

      • Ben

If McCain does not use the Whitey Tapes he is going to lose. I appreciated his respect but Obama is a dirty player. He attacked Cindy and the McCain camp did not come out swinging at all.

    • oowawa

Loveharriet1, I disagree. It is too late for the Whitey Tape now. The “socialist” redistribute-the-wealth trap that Obama has fallen into will be much more powerful in the next few days. Joe the Plumber started O’s downfall, and the wealth redistribution controversy that stems from that incident should derail his candidacy.

What a beautiful post. Thank you. Funnily enough, today I was in a meeting with someone who is from a well know political think tank. He told me that there is NO question…an Obama Presidency is the biggest threat to our security, safety and financial well being in history. I will I could repeat everything he said, but I was so numb and stunned that it was like the Twilight Zone. But the best thing he did was to quote the Franklin quote you also quoted…He said the problem is that Americans today don’t realize what a truly UNIQUE Republic this is, what an amazing, unusual situation that was created by our forefathers. So many people take it for granted and people like Obama hate America so much, and what we stand for, that it will all be long gone. Our Constitution is hanging by a pathetic thread and in 8 days it could be burned along with the Flag that Obama hates so much. We taped this man to add to our film. It was breathtaking. I’m amazed I’m not a drug addict or alcoholic by now with how disgusted I am by Obama, Pelosi and Reid. Vile creatures who we should round up and ship to Cuba.

Obama supported the use of community organizations like ACORN to create a “coalition of power” to force the legislation to create government duties, not found in the Constitution, to redistribute wealth and for economic justice, as determined by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and radical community groups like ACORN.

Last year, Obama promised ACORN and other radical community organizations that they will help him set the agenda for his presidency. Obama makes the promise at 2:03

It seems everyone has the misconception that the money taxed from the rich will then be distributed to the poor. This is false, all that will happen is that the rich will pick up more of the tax burden and the poor will be relieved. If increasing one man’s taxes by 3% can then pay for a reduction in 1000 people taxes by 3%, why not do it? The rich buy luxury goods that ultimately are above the economy. I have some extremely rich friends (hundred millionaires) and they haven’t batted an eye during this economic downswing. They are still aggressive and are still making a lot of money. When the lower/middle class can spend, that is when the economy booms.

We don’t live in Bill Clinton’s time..Rolling back the tax cuts means a tax increase for people today
people making 50K will pay $3000 more per year and people that make $25K will pay $1500 more. On top of that are all the other taxes such as capital gains which effect 100 million people.

    Democrat,
    You are so stupid!
Why we think he is a socialist is because he believes in a “constitutional” or legistlative redistribution of wealth (and thinks it should be race based), because his friends and associates are socialists, because he helped fund (to the tune of millions of dollars) ,through Annenberg, schools that advocated socialism and derided capitalism and because he sought and received the endorsement of the socialist party of chicago (after signing a pledge to support the aims of socialism) and attended, over several years, several-many meetings of the socialist party.

It is hysterical that you believe anything that Dear Leader says. He changes his positions on the issues like most of us change our socks. But apparently he has consistently believed in “redistributing the wealth”.

Now if Obama were an honest politician with a consistent message it would not be that important if he mentioned redistributing the wealth in passing. However, he has proved himself to be a liar over and over again.

So when Obama mentions redistributing the wealth I find it rather disturbing. And then combine that belief of his with all the powers that Bush gave to himself such as spying on anyone and everyone without a warrant. Not a pretty picture.

And Obamabots such as yourself in the Ohio government have chosen to use the power of the state to silence an individual private citizen, Joe the Plumber, for daring to ask Dear Leader a question. Obama has not even been elected yet and his followers are attempting to stop dissent.

I do not mind going back to the tax rates that existed under Pres. Clinton. I do mind going back to the “welfare” mentality that is apparently tied with going back to those tax rates.

If Sen. Obama were to use the increased taxes to pay down some of our national debt, I could probably buy into that. However, he is either going to give it as rebates to that 40% who currently do not pay taxes or use it as part of the funding mechanism for some of his approx. $1 trillion in new programs.

Frankly, with his past associations and his flip flops on so many issues from his stands in the primary, I would not be at all surprised if he used it to institute some Billy Ayres educational plan that was so ‘successful’ in Chicago!

  • Rocky Mountain High

Giving tax cuts to people who don’t pay taxes is socialism. Look it up. I think McCain said it perfectly, it’s called welfare.

  • MMI

30% of the population who do not pay any taxes will DIRECTLY be getting money from the government. The amount is estimated to be 60 billion dollars. That 60 billion will come from DIRECTLY increasing taxes on those already paying taxes. This is a direct transfer of wealth.

  • torlando77

Again, you dont even know what the current tax rate is so how can you comment on past and/or future tax rates. Just the fact that “that one” wants to raise the corporate tax rate higher then Clinton and raise spending WAAAAY higher then Clinton should give you pause before to say these things but again…

  • Don

Agree with your point about a progressive tax system. However, have you any statistics about how many small businesses, or shutting their doors completely, will be laying off employees because of the increased taxes coupled with the health insurance costs they will need to be picking up? I have read a few blogs where owners of small businesses have indicated that they would lay off an employee, or two or three, and probably increase their prices so they can continue to make they consider to be a reasonable return on their investment in their business.

Personally, I much prefer deciding which charities I which to contribute to and how much I wish to give each of them. Giving increased taxes to people who would rather not work for it (welfare)does not appeal to me at all as the way such monies should be used. My first priority would be to apply it against our national debt.

  • Ben

    You are not being truthful.

Every Tax policy does not redistribute wealth. Sales tax policy punishes purchases (except for tax exempt purchses) Tax policies fund the things we, as a nation, agree upon. They don’t fund welfare anymore.

I’ve seen 95 percent of all of Sarah’s rallies, and I am just so amazed by how much love she gets. She gets THOUSANDS, heck in Florida she got 60,000 people to come see her. Today in Virginia it was pouring rain and people were still standing there chanting her name. Damaging the party, HAHA please, she is the ONLY reason why I am personally voting for McCain, I was gonna vote for him anyways because I had no choice, I am NOT gonna vote for a communist, but when Sarah came along WOW, FINALLY someone that spoke for me. I just adore her and I hate how people bash her because she is a woman, they mock her hair, her clothes, the way she talks, where she comes from, she is more REAL then any of those other politicians running for the job. I would trust Sarah with my life more then a guy that associates with TERRORISTS and wants to bring communism to this country. Anyone who would dare blame Sarah for whatever happens in this election is RETARDED. Sarah is the only reason why McCain even stands a chance to win. Don’t get me wrong, I admire McCain, he is a war hero, a leader, and a good man, but his campaign has been idiotic at best, they were so scared to bring up all of Obama’s associations fearing being called racist, who the heck cares, bring up everything, they already accuse him of being racist mind as well bring up everything. I could have done a better job campaigning this team, Sarah IS the future of the party and I believe the reason why the media is bashing her so much right now(oh I thought Obama had this thing won, why bother bash her now) is because they fear in 2012 it will be PRESIDENT PALIN, that would be their greatest fear, in fact, I believe that she will win before 2012, Obama will be impeached anyway, I doubt he lasts 6 months in office. Trust me, the media loves him now, but they care about one thing and one thing only and that is RATINGS, they have the goods on this guy and if he wins, give it a few days before they bring up EVERYTHING, perhaps things we don’t even know, ya know the saying, the media will bring u up to be some sort of God, and then enjoy bringing you down

The economy was hardly “great” under Clinton. The idea that he left office with a surplus has now been thoroughly debunked:

    http://www.letxa.com/articles/16

We did experience rapid economic growth during his time in office, but that was not because of his policy. It certainly wasn’t the result of him raising taxes.

It was in fact the result of the technology boom, which Reagan’s marginal tax rate cuts a decade earlier stimulated initially, which fueled massive risk-taking and capital investment in the private sector.

Such risk-takers and entrepreneurs such as Bill Gates and Jerry Yang aided the 90′s economic boom despite the Clinton tax hikes, not because of them.

The only pieces of legislation that stimulated the economy during Clinton’s years were welfare reform and the lowering of the capital gains tax in 1998 – both however were sponsored by the GOP Congress.

I cannot say this enough. Tax hikes will NEVER be the cause of economic growth. Forced wealth redistribution will NEVER be the cause of economic growth. Economic freedom will always result in growth in the long term.

  • torlando77

    The word is NEURAL.

It was in 1933 that Thomas Hunt Morgan won a Nobel Prize for showing that genes are passed on by way of chromosomes. The experimental creature that he employed in the making of this great discovery was the Drosophila melanogaster, or fruit fly. Scientists of various sorts continue to find it a very useful resource, since it can be easily and plentifully “cultured” in a laboratory, has a very short generation time, and displays a great variety of mutation. This makes it useful in studying disease, and since Gov. Palin was in Pittsburgh to talk about her signature “issue” of disability and special needs, she might even have had some researcher tell her that there is a Drosophila-based center for research into autism at the University of North Carolina.

Nope my mistake:

    http://www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/columnist/block/2004-01-20-ym_x.htm

Since its inception in 1975, the Earned Income Tax Credit has evolved from one line on an income tax return to a 53-page publication, a separate tax form, two work sheets and 13 pages of instructions, according to the IRS Taxpayer Advocate’s annual report.

Thats would have been President Ford and the Congress was Democrat Controlled. It enjoyed wide bipartisan support and Senators Russell Long and Lloyd Bentsen made it their “signature initiative.”

It was originally proposed by Richard Nixon, established under Ford, Praised by Reagan, expanded under Bush Sr and Expanded Again Under Clinton.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeiWegQx0kc Jeremiah God Damn The MSM for Whitewashing Barack Amerikkka Wright

And ofcourse looking at it in terms of how it actually works is always a good thing:

The federal EITC is a refundable tax credit that supplements the earnings of low-income workers. The EITC is designed to provide a work incentive and to redistribute income to low-income workers. In general, the federal EITC does appear to accomplish these goals for the lowest income workers. However, the EITC may also have the effect of discouraging additional work effort for certain workers. Specifically, once earnings exceed about $1,000 per month, EITC benefits are phased out, creating a work disincentive. Therefore, the EITC presents an inherent trade-off: greater benefits to the lowest income workers have the effect of increasing work disincentives for those in the phase-out range of the program.
