“I Will Vote Obama”

The blogger at That’s Me On The Left wrote something that I just have to cross-post:

I will vote Obama
I will vote for a man I know nothing about

I will vote because it is time for a black man in the White House

I will vote for a man I really haven’t researched, and I really don’t want to know anything bad about

Because I will feel noble and good that I voted for a black man

or a man who definitely is NOT George Bush

I will vote for a man whose mother left America on purpose and stated the Americans around her in Indonesia were “not her people”

I will vote for a man whose father and stepfather were not Americans or Christians even though I felt uncomfortable about that Romney fellow and his Mormonism

I will vote for a man whose father figure mentor in Hawaii was a communist and hated America and “white oppression”

I will vote for a community organizer, even though I don’t know what that is

Saul Alinksy is the creator of the community organizer concept

I will not Google Saul Alinsky

I will not Google ACORN

I will vote for a man who ran unopposed for his Illinois State Senate Seat

I will not Google how that happened to occur

I will vote for a man who allies himself with an unrepentant radical terrorist

But he is an “education reformer” now!

I will not Google Bill Ayers enough to find out what he wants to reform public education into

although my children go to public schools

I will vote for a man who listened to Reverend Jeremiah Wright for 20 years

I certainly will NOT Google Black Liberation theology, white oppression, and Marxism in the same search!

I will feel good about myself after I vote Obama

who is not George Bush

I will feel good that America voted for Obama

I will await the praise from the world’s opinion of us on our wise choice…

I will be surprised when they still hate us

I will be surprised when I start to hate who I voted for

I will vote “anybody but Obama” in 2012

They say Obama is gonna call his boys from Moscow, for the redistribution…

Is he on first name terms with Vladimir?

Just thought I’d mention that I (in Ohio) talked to three people yesterday who said members of their family had decided to switch their votes from Obama to McCain. Also two houses in my neighborhood that had Obama yard signs no longer have them. This is not an area where anyone would vandalize them so I’m sure the people took them down.

I started saying over a months ago that America would flirt with Obama but marry McCain. The breakup is underway.

    • tek

I would love to believe this, but I’ve never believed he actually has the level of support the media attributes to him. I’m very much afraid we’re going to see another election stolen from the People.

I would like to propose that in the event Oblahma gets in the WH, sensible people should band together in a grassroots organization and pressure the federal government to respond to the people of this country in economic policies and social policies. I’m tired of living in a country where the New Politics is all about dismissing democracy and seeing if your group can get absolute power with no consequences at all.

      • Jean

        I agree with you 100%.

      • BettAZ

        Abolutely!

WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT…those fat cats in Washington WORK FOR US! WE PAY THEIR BLOATED SALARIES!…they seem to forget that.

        WE WILL REMIND THEM.

    • Typewriterstreaming

I don’t know how those people survived till now. Frankly if anyone living with me supported Obinokinobe I would have moved out. I know it sounds petty, but these people really disgust me.

      • wodiej

Amen to that…I do not have any close relationships w people who support Obama. If I did, they would not be close relationships any longer. I can’t see that being anything beneficial.

        • AnninCA

We just don’t talk politics. That way, we all get along.

The election will be over soon. *yippee*!

Zogby poll…..McCain clipped another point. Down to 4.

        • heather

Okay, I’m glad to hear that because I was starting to think that my tin foil hat was too tight. I find myself looking at the houses with the Obama signs and ascribing evil intent (rather than stupidity) to them.

Spent the weekend with my beautiful little brother explaining to me why he didn’t mind a little socialism, and why he cared what the rest of the world’s opinion was of us. Blech

        • Monet

I can’t imagine letting politics ruin my personal and family relationships. It’s bad enough that politics has ruined my economic status and civil rights over the past eight to twenty-five years, but it’s not going to take my friendships and family too.

My family are Republicans, they’re delighted their little independent, flora and fauna hugging, liberal Constitutionalrights advocate, non-trickle down believer is voting for Senator McCain in this election. Of course, they would be more pleased if I was voting for Senator McCain because Senator Obama’s liberal, socialist University of Chicago view of the world scares me into being a card carrying Republican, but they’re willing to settle for my McCain vote because I haven’t seen one project, program or policy that Senator Obama has been involved in that has a positive effect other than to line the pockets of his cronies.

Two of my closest friends who are educated voters are voting for Senator Obama. One is in his 20′s, he finds Senator Obama inspiring. I believe every person should have the experience of finding a candidate in their youth who inspires them, even if the candidate is Senator Obama.

My other friend is in her mid-40′s, is a previous Senator Clinton supporter and she’s been diagnosed with a rare cancer that fewer than 100 people are diagnosed with in the U.S. each year. She has health insurance, in the past year she’s paid $20k out of pocket for co-pays. The only drug that is showing promise for her cancer is one the FDA isn’t even considering trials for, but the Netherlands has been using for ten years with good results. She’s looking into relocating to the Netherlands temporarily. Health issues are her major political concern in this election, she believes Senator Obama would be more helpful for her situation. I’m not in the circumstances she is and while I don’t believe Senator Obama will have a more positive effect than Senator McCain on her situation – I’m not in her shoes where her vote is based on life and death.

My s/o and I have been friends for eleven years, dated for six. Until last fall, our liberal views have always meshed. We’ve disagreed on a few politicians and policies but have always voted similarly. The s/o supported Senator Obama in the primaries, he’s an educated voter. I spent this past June bringing all of the questionable material in Senator Obama’s background to his attention. By the 4th of July, my s/o was disgusted with Senator Obama, he wasn’t the inspiration the media led him to believe in and unhappy with me for ruining what he had saw in Senator Obama. We quit talking politics. For awhile, I thought my s/o might vote for Senator McCain, but the choice of voting for a Republican platform that goes against his beliefs will probably have him abstaining from the presidential vote or deciding to cross his fingers that Senator Obama won’t be a disaster and voting for him.

Everyone else I know who is an educated voter is voting for Senator McCain. In a state that the McCain campaign, the media and political analysts have written off as Obamabot territory. I think they’ve all missed the boat since the three people who are close to me that are Senator Obama supporters are in Oregon, Illinois and Ohio. But what do I know, they put so much stock in their polls – the polls must be a more reliable prediction than what is actually going on here in Michigan on the ground.

The people I know supporting the Obama campaign have valid reasons for doing so. I have valid reasons for abandoning my political ideology and voting for Senator McCain. I can’t see losing family and friendships over a political campaign. When it’s all said and done, who inhabits the White House is insignificant when compared to what my friends and family bring to my life. They will be there with me through the good times and the bad times, I can’t say that about Washington.

          • Andy

            Monet:

What a beautiful, thoughtful and meaningful comment !!

Thank you for sharing this with us. I throughly enjoyed reading it It’s been the nicest thing I have read in a while.

            Cheers,
            A.

            • Andy

              Correction: “thoroughly enjoyed….”

            • Monet

              Andy,

Niceness and respecting the views of others seems to have been lost in this election. It’s understandable, so much is at stake. No one wants to see this nation spiral any further downward, we’re ready to start climbing back up.

I try my best to understand the Obama supporter views and do my best not to scream “idiot!!” at the tv screen. The people I know who are voting for Senator Obama have what they consider valid reasons for doing so. I think they’ve been misled, but I’m not going to think less of the people who I love and admire because they’re viewing this election from a different vantage point than me.

There’s no guarantee that Senator McCain in the White House will be anymore effective than Senator Obama. I think he will be, but I could be wrong. I see no reason to burn any bridges because some people around me are voting for Senator Obama. I accept they’re firm in their choice, as I am in mine.

Why Americans Must Not Cast Their Vote For Barack Hussein Obama
The identity of a person is one’s name and one’s heritage. Most often a person’s name tells something about that person’s heritage. If a person has certain friends and associates and exemplifies a certain conduct, then we have an indication of that person’s character. The totality of a person’s being, which includes the personal name, the heritage, the background, the associations, and the conduct are a person’s character identity. My identity is my name. It signifies my heritage as well. That is simple and I can prove it with my original birth certificate. My background (growing-up, academics, and profession) is also excellent. They got me the highest security clearance and some of the best positions that can be attained. My associations are the best: upright, patriotic citizens who keep their feet on the ground. My conduct in respecting and obeying the laws of the land is flawless. That is the situation with me: explicit, straight, and to the point because there is nothing to hide.

    1. What is in a name?
Now let us take a look at the Democratic Party candidate for the office of President of the United States of America: Barack Hussein Obama. The name indicates that it is not American/Anglo-Saxon. There is nothing wrong with that. Barack (Baruch) indicates a possible Hebrew heritage. There is nothing wrong with that. Obama indicates a possible non-White American heritage. There is nothing wrong with that. Hussein, a name common in Moslem countries, indicates an Arab heritage. There is nothing wrong with that, either. Let us delete Hussein, because belle Michelle once stated that it is a “fear bomb” for the American electorate. Now we have Barack Obama (Or is it Barry?) The name tells us that it is not a usual American/English name. (I shall use Barack Hussein Obama, because that is Barack Hussein Obama’s name!) Barack Hussein Obama tells us that Barack Hussein Obama is American because Barack Hussein Obama’s mother was American and his grandparents were/are American. In one sweep his African heritage disappears. I suspect that Barack Hussein Obama’s American heritage would disappear in one sweep if Barack Hussein Obama were running for President of Kenya. My conclusion on this matter is that Barack Hussein Obama has half an identity, and half a heritage that Barack Hussein Obama does not openly want to be made public. The situation could be easily remedied by Barack Hussein Obama claiming both heritages all of the time and backing the claim up with his original birth certificate. (Oh, darn it! What am I saying? The Messiah did not have a birth certificate, either! )
    2. What do we know about Barack Hussein Obama’s background ?
We do not know much. The investigative journalist Cliff Kincaid maintains that when Barack Hussein Obama was a young man in Hawaii he had ties with the Communist Party of the USA and was mentored by the American Communist-Stalinist Frank Marshall Davis. There are rumors bordering on 100 percent surety that Barack Hussein Obama was associated with the Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, and the Students for a Democratic Society. (How many of them were really students?) Then Barack Hussein Obama went off to Columbia University to study, returned to Chicago, where the clean Democratic Party Machine assures voters that their votes will be counted. (As many times as is necessary!) Then Barack Hussein Obama attended Harvard University Law School, graduating magna cum laude (I would like to read the justification.), but without ever having authored one piece of judicial writing that has been made public. We do not know Barack Hussein Obama’s academic record at Columbia University and Harvard Law School. (or any other school!) We know nothing about Barack Hussein Obama’s academic standards. We do not even know the university entrance exam scores. We know absolutely nothing, except that upon graduation from Harvard Law School Barack Hussein Obama returned to Chicago to conduct social work, rather than join a well-known law firm in New York City. (Maybe Barack Hussein Obama was afraid of the results of a background check that the firm would definitely have executed!!!) We do know that Barack Hussein Obama always held a job paid for by the taxpayer, which tells us a lot about Barack Hussein Obama’s (non-)knowledge of the trials and tribulations of American middle class businesses.
    3. What are the associations?
Check the data available and you will find out all you need to know: Rev. Jeremiah Wright (Barack Hussein Obama never broke ties with him, it was only distancing, just a little, until after the election.), Tom Ayers, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Mike Klonsky, Chicago Annenberg Challenge, ACORN, Rashid Khalidi, Mona Khalidi, Tony Rezko, Raila Odinga. I surely would not want these types as my friends and associates, unless I were on their wave lengths! (And bonus/gratuity lists!)
    4. What about the conduct?
Living by the lie is a form of conduct. Barack Hussein Obnama lied about having other names on an application to obtain a lawyer’s license in Illinois. Barack Hussein Obama lies in his official speeches. (The private conversations must be more than revisionist!) Over 75% of the Berlin Speech in July 2008 is historically false. Over 70% of the Denver Acceptance Speech in Auguast 2008 is historically false. Breaking the law is a form of conduct. Barack Hussein Obama has broken federal law by accepting election campaign contributions from foreign countries. Barack Hussein Obama has broken federal law by not listing contributors to his election campaign properly.
    5. What about character?
The core of character is a moral matter. Human morality is of an especial importance because it is the quality that makes human beings as individual citizens become special, social beings in the political sense. Virtue is the quality of moral goodness, excellence, righteousness, responsibility, and conduct that adheres to a standard or mores and morality. Barack Hussein Obama is void of these essentials. Barack Hussein Obama plays God by deciding against the right to life of human beings who are not yet born. Barack Hussein Obama is the personification of a masquerade of showing morals that do not really exist in that person. Barack Hussein Obama does not dare to appear as what he really is. The madness is caught up in istself. Barack Hussein Obama disregards the respect for the nation and its symbols. Barack Hussein Obama disobeys the respect of and obedience to its laws. Barack Hussein Obama depraves the love of freedom that is not Barack Hussein Obama’s view of socialist freedom. Barack Hussein Obama laughs at the Constitution of the United States of America and its regulatory law on the qualifications one needs to become President of the United States of America, as well as the basic freedoms it guarantees. All of these standpoints are immoral, and dispicable. They show rotten character. Indeed, they show a black hole soul-psyche without any morality. An election campaign, nonetheless the next President of the United States of America, cannot be constructed and elected on a basis of immorality. The need for morality in politics is at the heart of a social contract. A country’s citizenry is political and the result of the American Revolutionary War is that the citizens of the American Colonies organized themselves into a functioning democratic, republic-federal system – a civil, social form, the outcome of which guaranteed a higher form of freedom and morality than they had had before the Revolution. Every day that Barack Hussein Obama continues to pay disrespect to America’s laws and traditions is a day that he spits in the face of Americans, the forefathers, and their desire for moral government. His behavior tramps on America’s heart and soul. Barack Hussein Obama’s method is to suck out all of the life the individuals have, to guzzle down the blood of their pride, and then puke out a tune to which they all dance in ecstasy. Those who are Obamarites have sold their souls and they know not why, nor do they care.

Barack Hussein Obama has alienated the American self from the American self. Barack Hussein Obama stands for everything that is not democratic republicanism in the federal form. He disregards legal proofing, has questionable, criminal and terrorist associates, disobeys the laws of the state of Illinois and the federal government, and shows conduct unbecoming to a future President. Barack Hussein Obama is worse than base, worse than vile. Barack Hussein Obama has no moral core in his character. A person who has no moral core is a false and evil person and is intrinsically corrupt.
These are my reasons why Americans must not cast their vote on Election Day for Barack Hussein Obama!

    Frederick William Dame

Those who are Obamarites have sold their souls and they know not why, nor do they care.

As long as they have a candidate that gives the middle finger, on live television, to his opponent allthewhile laughing and smirking, they are the Neo Liberals.

Nope, I was the same – for about 4 days I just got an error page. I didn’t know what I was going to do with myself! lol

And I agree with your view… I’m not particularly happy with McCain/Palin… although I do actually quite like Palin. I don’t think she’s stupid at all, as Obama supporters (the media) try to tell us she is.

But, as you say, I dread to think what an Obama presidency would turn out like. I’m actually scared.

      • Soldier of Christ

I need to ask you a question. Is the reason you don’t like Palin that she is a woman? Because you stated that she is smart, so that can’t be it. And it can’t be that she is pro-life, because by looking at your name, you are a male. So, what is the reason you don’t like her? Give her a chance, remember Esther from the Bible, it took this woman save the jewish nation- maybe we need a woman like this to safe mankind. Mccain made a wise decision.

        • Davey

Did you mean to reply to my post? Because I DO like Palin…

I do actually quite like Palin. I don’t think she’s stupid at all, as Obama supporters (the media) try to tell us she is.

Very confused! I think Palin will be around for many years to come… she’s quite inspiring.

Went to see Sarah Palin at a rally last night in Salem Virginia… Over 15,000 folks came together on a very chilly night.
She was folksy, funny and focused, and she is clearly electrifying her base. BIG story in the local news – as big if not bigger than Obama’s recent visit.
Go see her if you can… she’s a rock star with no need for a back up band!

Its better than a near tie. Don’t forget they are only counting how many ballots each party got, not who the people actually voted for. There are PUMAs and most will vote for McCain and most are still registered as Democrats. Best as I can tell 1/5 or more Democrats are PUMAs and this number may be growing as many Dems now have buyers remorse.

Zolgby has McCain up another point this morning….it’s down to 4.

And there is a KILLER article by IBD on RCP about the tax isssue.

IBD shows Obama down to 3. What was interesting about the internals is that they identified how many voting for McCain were investors. It was strongly in favor of McCain. The message is penetrating that Obama is about to kill us on capital gains.

50% of Americans are invested in the stock market. Not all of those are invested heavily, of course, but this group DOES pay attention.

Uppity, I just posted on Ani post about the breaking news. Remember that dinner with the PLO guy and Obama back in 2003 that was being passed around the internet in the beginning of the year? I do, because if I dig deep enough in my stuff I could find it again. Any it turned out that there is a video and the LA timees is refusing to release it. Fox said that it is damaging to Obama with the Jewish community. There are PLO guys ranting ant-jewish hate while Obama sat there listening and eating his dinner. Check it out- you are good in everything!

The Gov there was begging for Der Precious or Joe Hairplugs to return to the state to campaign. They are also trying to find volunteers to make calls. I don’t know about no chance but based on how well Hillary did there and the fact the PUMA movement is far greater than the evil MSM will ever admit, I’d say Mac should win.

    • Firefly

I totally believe that – and I think McCain will surprise 0bama and the MSM in more than a few other states as well – for the same reasons.

A commenter at Hillbuzz the other night, who has his own blog, did a nice analysis of why the polls are all screwed up – THE PUMA FACTOR. He says the pollsters haven’t figured it out yet – but McCain’s pollsters have – and they’re telling him a completely different, consistent story.

The key point here is that these people are actually Democrats who plan on voting for McCain. Because such people are being called racists for this by people like John Murtha of Pennsylvania, they are not telling the pollsters that they are planning to vote for McCain. Most of the pollsters are weighting their samples based on the usual voting splits between Democrats and Republicans. If the P.U.M.A. Factor is upsetting this voting pattern, the pollsters are giving too much weight to the Democrats in their samples. If the polling firm for the McCain campaign has figured out how to adjust for the P.U.M.A. Factor, then they are getting radically different results and that is especially so in some blue states that Hillary carried by wide margins. This same adjustment has caused them to realize which red states are not good bets any more and which blue states are up for grabs in spite of what other pollsters are showing.

That’s the reason of all the people I know who are voting for him (thank God there aren’t too many of them anymore).

And they “don’t want to hear anymore – don’t want to talk politics anymore” – with me.

“La la la la la la (hands over ears) – I said I don’t want to argue politics with you anymore. I’ve done my research. I know everything about him. I have to go now.”

PUMAs need to be honest. I bet most including me used to vote exclusive along party lines. Never again. Donna told me it was OK to leave the party.

By the way Donna not all PUMAs fit your stereotype of who would leave the party.

      • Firefly

Me too, Galt – I’ve been a straight D voter all my life – never once voted for a republican in any election.

That’s over now – for me and millions of others who have ears to hear and who love country over party.

      • Richard

Don’t leave the Party because of a few ‘bad apples’. You join a Party because of the principles lining up with yours. I fault the lack of or shady leadership of Howard Dean for this mess, as well as Obama. The way they treated Hillary in the primaries was inexcusable! However, I will not give up my designation as “Democrat” because I strongly believe in the core principles.

However, this election, to send a giant message to Dean and Obama and Pelosi, I am voting a straight Republican ticket–for the first time in my life. I am hoping millions of other Democrats do the same thing. The only way to teach the threesome a lesson is to hit them by not allowing them to have the majority this time around. Go McCain!

        • Jackie

My friends it is time to leave the corrupt DNC and make a new and fresh party that is based on the ideals of FDR and Hillary Clinton. One where the common man has a voice and women are respected and valued.

John McCain is a great man and he has begun the re-tooling of the GOP for the better. Transparancy is key. Secrecy is the beginning of Tryanny.

The party of Dean, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama is a corruption of the word Democrat. The choice of the people was ignored and abused. The voice stolen then silenced.

You do not want to be part of that machine. Start a new one. THere are many like Lynn de Rothchild who have the will and the vision to help set up a new Party and to crush and destroy the corrupt and perverted one.

Vote McCain/Palin to see the move toward transparancy in government. Build a true Democrat Party and reform the GOP for a better America.

Americans can make miracles in 4 years when the people are engaged–let us with vision strike while the iron is hot. Our country is calling us to defend the Constitution! I will heed the call what about you?

        • MEchelle Hates America!

That is exactly why you leave a party.

If the leadership is bad what do you have?

That nutty Third Reich… Did they quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

A few bad apples?! They don’t give a shit about women, the non- AA middle class, the military and law enforcement.

This ain’t Animal House – it’s our country.

          • Liz B

I agree with all of your post, but I think you mean the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor…The Third Reicht were busy whih the Holocaust and killing Jews…they were going on simultaneously. World War 2 involved lots of crazy people.

      • Jane Doe

I used to vote exclusively along party lines. I’m not ashamed of it. It’s what I learned from my staunchly Democratic Mother and Grandmother. Sad to say, I didn’t quit on my party; the Democratic Party quit on me.

BTW, I’m going to early vote tomorrow. I’m voting a straight Republican ticket for the first time ever. I also insulted a pollster last night. One called and started to ask questions in a very sly manner. I cut him off and stated that I was voting for Saxby Chambliss (the incumbant Rep. Senator here in Georgia. The guy hung up on me. I guess he didn’t want my opinion after all… (LOL)

Unfortunately for Donna B. I won’t just stay home and not vote. I’m gonna vote, but not for who she wants me to…

I never have been very good at doing what I’m told.

Great post. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so true. I have never seen so many fact-averse people in my life. I think it’s partly a form of Bush PTSD, and many are voting in a blind, reactionary way. As you said, “he’s not Bush!” Unfortunately, they could have voted for someone who is not Bush, AND competent.

    Her name is Hillary.

    • Typewriterstreaming

Can someone tell me why the FBI hasn’t hit this house. This mannequin should be taken down and the people arrested. We all know darn well what would happen if this were Obama. If I were a disgusting individual I would go home and hang an Obama from a tree and see what happens, but I’m not and the point won’t get made. This is unacceptable. It’s unacceptable the Secret Service doesn’t even give a $hit.

Actually they might take an interest.

      • AnninCA

It’s Halloween, and there is still freedom of speech. The only Halloween props that they do make people take down are the ones that are overly realistic, I think, and look like real people.

This one is clearly an effigy.

        • Firefly

So, ya mean if someone hung a cartoony-looking black guy mannequin with a big “O” on his chest in effigy on his porch the Secret Service wouldn’t show up? People wouldn’t be outraged? The guy who did it wouldn’t be arrested? The guy’s house wouldn’t be completely defaced and destroyed? The NAACP and other groups wouldn’t be all over TV screaming HATE CRIME? It wouldn’t be all over the national news?

Ya think “it’s just Halloween and it doesn’t look realistic” would fly?

          Puleeze – get real-istic!

I’ll vote for Obama the day pigs fly. Unless someday pigs learn to fly, in which case I’ll flip-flop like Obama does on every issue!

  • goldengrahme

Right up front, I am a Democrat turned Independent.

    For a reason.

The hijacked caucuses convinced me something was wrong with the process; the constant taunts of “racism” convinced me the level of intolerance against diverse opinion is dangerously undemocratic, translanting into irrational zealotry for Obama.

How can such a political climate produce positive
    governance?

Last night I watched a documentary made by a young
indy film maker, Kevin Coyne Malone. His theme
dealt with the uneven distribution of pro-leftist rhetoric in U.S. universities. The vast majority of faculty are enthusiastic, overt liberals who use their positions to indoctinate students and whose
authority is used as a hammer to drive home their own point of view; students interviewed felt threatened if they did not reflect their professor’s ideology. That is not education in the truest sense. Indeed, stiffling inquiry is the hallmark of totalitarian regimes.

The film was really an eye-opener. I agree with many of the positions of those left-wing educators. I am certainly opposed to the Iraq War and I am no
supporter of the Bush/neocon philosophy of world conquest. However, Malone offered some excellent taking points that we should all ponder.

Has the idea of cultural diversity gone too far?
Do college and university faculty have the right
to use taxpayer’s subsidized classrooms to teach a form of Marxism to students who are in effect a
captive audience? How far should we go in welcoming into our midst those whose own culture and religious bearings preclude open debate?

The once accepted idea of political correctness has
gone round the bend. It is impossible to legislate morality and just as improbable that we have nailed down the limits of human biases. We all have some.

These good questions were posed and well-presented. BO certainly has the support of those many educators who, ironically, seem to have left their own critical faculty behind when they entered the classroom door. (They would never accept such mental lapse from students.) Recently, about 200 educators signed a letter praising Bill Ayers–a back-door endorsement of Barack Obama.

    Just musing outloud.

    • BettAZ

Yeah, it’s a whacky world where you can hang a likeness of the (hopefully)next VP of the USA out there in public…but by God!…DON’T YOU DARE LIGHT THAT CIGARETTE!

I am most concerned with the young people in this country who drank the kool-aid and jumped on Barack Hussein’s bandwagon.

They are going to be so very disappointed in him and will they be able to trust anybody again? They fell for a fraud and put their hearts and souls into him. They are going to be crushed when they find out who the real Obama is.

    This is worrisome to me.

  • NoTrollZone

Excellent post Uppity. That writer just about sums it up. Now you can lead an Obama-bot to koolaide, but can you lead them to read?

I’m afraid the pitcher has a smiley face, just like in the ads, and not a skull and cross-bones. And the word “hope” appears in big letters. • Ellen D

My son (in CA) said the same thing. I’d like to apologize to you, AnninCA for being so harsh to you in a previous thread when you gave a condition for voting McCain. That was the first time I met you and I mistook you for a troll. Sorry about that.

        • AnninCA

No need to apologize, Ellen. I upset people regularly.

I support McCain precisely because I think he’s way smarter than to fall into a race trap with Obama.

      • wodiej

Democrats are not as reliable in voting as Republicans are. That is a statistical fact. Second, young people get their bloomers in a bunch over anything that gives them an excuse to be radical, loud and get attention. Actual voting doesn’t do that.

In past elections, the young people did the same things and then didn’t show up to vote. I think the Obama campaign and media thought they were screwing the McCain campaign and supporters by bloating the polls and news in Obama’s favor, They actually helped us because Republicans and Democrats alike who love this country are going to flood the voting booth. It also has made McCain and Palin work that much harder.

God Bless America and God Bless John McCain and Sarah Palin.

        • bethtopaz

In one of my favorite movies, “Greencard,” the actor Gerard Depardieu, who plays an illegal alien from France, asks actor Andie McDowell about a picture she’s in where she’s protesting in college.

          She replies, wistfully, “Oh, everything.”

          -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

By the way, I had just gotten back from the S.F. Bay Area yesterday – even went into the belly of the beast – Berkeley – to return some tiles.

On my way out of Berkeley (I confess I didn’t go downtown Berkeley), I saw one car get on the freeway with a NOBAMA bumpersticker.

I decided to count bumperstickers on the way down to Berkeley and back (about a 110 mile round trip drive). On the way to Berkeley – on I-80 – I saw NO Obama bumper stickers and two bumper stickers for McCain (and then there was mine, which I couldn’t see from a driving position ; ) and on the way back to Winters I saw 2 Obama bumper stickers.
I saw 3 Yes on Prop 8 (against gay marriage) and 1 No on Prop 8 bumper stickers.

What’s really strange is that in 2004 there were bumper stickers galore! for both sides – of course, mostly Kerry, due to the fact that California is largely a Democrat state.

          It’s eerie.
Voters are virtually tight-lipped and silent this year.
Even some of my neighbors in Winters, who I know are Democrats, have yard signs up for local politicians (i.e., Lois Wolk, State Senate) but no Obama signs.

Just for fun I drove around Winters to see what kind of yard signs were up.

I saw about 4-5 Obama yard signs, about 7-8 McCain yard signs; a few No on Prop 8 signs and LOTS of Yes on Prop 8 signs.

    • wodiej

they had this on the tv in our breakroom at work-McCain was on fire! He doesn’t want to redistribute wealth, he wants to create it. He doesn’t want to raise taxes, he wants to lower spending.

Priceless. Reminds me of the adage about sentries in WWII using baseball questions for security checks. Barky, having been raised in Indonesia and Hawaii, then living his adult life in Chicago, attending TUCC, etc., doesn’t really “get” America. He is often slightly off. If he knew this country in his marrow, he wouldn’t be messing with America’s other religion: baseball. Delay the World Series for yet more Oblahblahblahma? What is the man thinking?

  • Ashy1

After many months of observing and reading about Mr. Obama, I have come to the conclusion that he is some seriously “damaged goods.” (mentally speaking)

He grew up with white grandparents from Kansas. They may have accepted him, but, let’s face it. It was not cool to be a mixed race child back then. I think he has spent a good portion of his life not knowing who or what he is. I almost feel sorry for him. Ooops… it’s gone now.

He thinks of himself as a “blank slate,” a very astute self-assessment in some respects, perhaps spending much of his life in that condition. But that “blank slate” has been picking up impressions from the associations he has made through the years. That is how I read his character–from those associations. And, to tell you the truth, I didn’t sleep well last night. The “blank slate” image is something that, I believe, he has worked hard to cultivate over the last 15 years–flying under the radar screen avoiding, whenever possible, the kinds of scrutiny that could define him and his positions. Very intelligent, charismatic, and silver tongued, all served up on a “blank slate,” a very troubling combination.

    • AnninCA

I think that being “damaged goods” is a bit of an Americanism. LOL*

Bill Clinton was the son of a broken family, whose mother remarried an alcoholic. He is, by definition, an ACA.

Bush is an alcoholic by definition. He doesn’t attend a 12-step meeting. However, he’s alcoholic.

I frankly can’t think of a major politician in the US today who doesn’t lay claim to some dysfunction.

      That is our culture, folks.

      That is a reality.

And, I think that’s why conservatives are so surprised that people gave the Wright connection a pass.

I think we’re at the stage in our own culture where we get it. There are no illusions left about our families.

He has Wright. I had my *fill-in-the-blank.*

People are not so much in denial about our culture these days. We all have truly, truly crazed backgrounds.

I am in my 50s. I have yet to meet a “normal” person.

      Seriously.

      That is an illusion.

      • Ashy1

I’m 50-something and I agree with you on “normal” people. My comment was not meant to be an expose (put a mark over the final “e”) on Mr. Obama’s family life. It is, however, an examination of who he chooses for friendships and alliances, his character and how it might play into his philosophy and style of governance–something many, many Americans should do–are required to do by our type of government.

As for Rev. Wright, I’m not giving him a pass–not even close.

…we really would like to avoid the BS and BO from getting there to begin with so we can avoid further problems.

  • ObamaNOT

I just emailed the stinking LA Times to release the video….

They claim that they don’t want to sway voters….

Journalists should NOT sway voters…Journalists should only print and televise NEWS…and the results of NEWS may or may not sway voters…

Are there any respectable JOURNALISTS left?

By withholding relevant news of OBAMA, the LA Times has acted just like the propoganda section of Nazi Germany…

By stifeling news, they have become the ‘friend’ of those systems they always detest, i.e…those who want to limit freedom of the press and speech…

Friends the news media has now become as the Communists control…a propaganda machine…And if OBOMBA wins, the newsoutlets will pump out what he wants, and not the truth

    Welcome to Amerika…hello Gulag….

Dear Ashy1: Do not feel sorry for Obama. Feel sorry for America. Because of his arrogance, narcissism, fraudulent candidacy, voter disenfranchisement, thug and mobster tactics, stealing the primary and caucuses, we were robbed of a wonderful candidate, Hillary Clinton, who sincerely wants to solve problems and help America. Do not feel sorry for Obama in the slightest. He has perpetrated the biggest fraud on the American people in the history of our country. It is unclear even at this late date whether he is in fact eligible to be president under our Constitution. But that doesn’t matter to the “Chosen One”, the “One we have been waiting for”. Do not feel sorry for Obama at all. While calling himself a Uniter (wasn’t George W. a uniter too?!) he has played the race card so often in the past year that he has literally pushed race relations backward 100 years, stirring up the racial pot in order to get people to support and vote for him. I agree, Mr. Obama is some seriously mentally damaged goods, and the presidency is no place for therapy. If you have to feel sorry for anyone, feel sorry for you and me, and Joe the Plumber – God forbid we have this character and his radical friends in the White House for the next 8 years.

  • Ashy1

Hi susan h, when I said I *almost* felt sorry for BO, perhaps that was over-stating it a bit. Sorry, if I upset your stomach, Linda.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

When the Lord rises you up none can pull you down.

    STOP THE SMEARS!

Note to American girl in Italy.

I saw the photo suggestions you posted re:Obama’s Grandmother etc

But here is another thought you should think about.
Since there are always two sides to every coin

It’s a good thing he has decided to keep back from allowing his grandmother and brother or whoever you choose to judge him on, from not allowing them to be showing themselves off as rich…because for instance not too long ago that poor old lady has already been attacked..her house already being robbed as theives broke in thinking she was loaded.

You can google it up from the news.

And even if she was, even if not living as,which is a huge possiblitly…it’s no one’s business how they choose to live it out, over there in Africa.
Besides guys,Not everyone wearing a sack is poor as I have lived to see many times, just like not everyone wearing a jacket and tie is to be seen as rich.

So think deeper without Hate and fear and come again.
You judge him base on false knowledge and fear.
Cheers for Obama he’s a great inspiration..not just perspiration!

  • Ashy1

Alley, I don’t hate the guy. I just think his politics suck. People with extremely radical leftist views got into his head while he was young and VERY impressionable, so now he leans waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over to the left. Too far for me.

What I am fearful of, and what I actually lost some sleep over last night, is the extreme control Mr. Obama and his people (whoever they are) have demonstrated on the media. Also, what do you think about the “Truth Squads” in Missouri–or is that a smear, or a figment of my imagination? With all due respect, I recommend that extract your head from your a$$ as soon as possible and smell some fresh air.

    WE NEED EVOLUTION, NOT REVOLUTION.

“…and if you want money for people with minds that hate, don’t you know that you can count me out!”
    – John Lennon

    …or something like that…

On November 4th Just like every year good things happen.. The good Lord has given me 61 of them. The people of the country I love and have served will give me on the 4th the best birthday present ever. A president that I can trust.

“Revolution” is a song that John Lennon must have written with Billy Ayers in mind. Respectfully submitted for your perusal, Mr. Obama.

You say you want a revolution
    Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
    Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know that you can count me out?

Don’t you know it’s gonna be
    Alright?
    Alright?
    Alright?

You say you’ve got a real solution
    Well, you know
WE’D ALL LOVE TO SEE THE PLAN!! [my emphasis]
You ask me for a contribution
    Well, you know
We are doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is, brother, you’ll have to wait

Don’t you know it’s gonna be
    Alright?
    Alright?
    Alright?

You say you’ll change the constitution
    Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
    Well, you know
You’d better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain’t gonna make it with anyone anyhow

Don’t you know it’s gonna be
    Alright?
    Alright?
    Alright?

The thing that caused me to lose sleep last night was learning that William Ayers contemplated the genocide of 25 million Americans back in the day. Also, that William Ayers and Mr. Obama could be BFF’s. Smear? I sure hope so. Then, I ask myself would I like to serve on a foundation with someone like Mr. Ayers? Truth is I wouldn’t want to be in the same building with Mr. Ayers, charming and knowledgeable though he may be.

    Wow!

Alley, Thanks for the link, but I’m not a Kool-aid drinker.

Yeah, I read about Bill Ayers saying 25 Million Americans will have to be exterminated, so that a counter-revolution doesn’t occur after the Marxist takeover of the United States. Guess what Bill? I sincerely hope that you are number 1 and that your cop killing wife, Bernadine Dohrn, is second up in the batting order of that fight. And a fight it will be. Think about those brave Americans that fought back against the terrorist swine on 9/11. Ayers is a coward.

Obama’s been pretty open about his intentions until about May when he tacked right for the election. He ran to the left of HRC in the primaries and the cheetos crowd ate it up – stuff like giving illegals drivers licenses, holding negotiations with dictators, withdrawing from Iraq immediately (’08), windfall taxes on oil, etc.
