The Candy Effect Will Sink Obama

Yes sirree, I just realized that Obama is doomed. Just in time for Halloween, Obama gets the Candy Crowley Curse.

Candy Crowley

Like Howard Dean in ’04 and Hillary this year, one sure way to sink a campaign is to assign Candy to the beat. Now don’t get me wrong. I think she is a fine professional and although as Barry centric as the rest, she does seem to hold to a higher journalistic creed. The problem may actually be her honesty.

Howard Dean was soaring in the polls until Candy was switched to his beat. Hillary was inevitable until Candy started flying HillForce One.

People are so used to reporters who editorialize, reporters who praise the politician they are sent to cover. These people have become so accustomed to shitty journalism that when someone comes along who presents the news and just the news, they tune out.

Americans want to be told what to do, they don’t want a boring Candy Crowley telling them what was said by an Obama and letting them make up their own minds.

The question I have.

Does CNN understand the power of Candy? Do they intentionally send her in when they want to tighten up a race?

Another original post from Partizane, home of the PUMA Tricks and Treats Chat this Friday and of course the Election All Nighter PUMA Squeeze Chat. Everyone is invited to join us.

If there are anything left bring it before Friday. Otherwise it is gonna be tough.

Before friday is will be our chance b/s of the media but after that I don’t think so.

    Media really matters

  • Objective Analysis

Candy crowley can talk all the crap she wants. The issue is BHO or BO for that matter. he stinks plain and simple. He is a fraud, marxist, communist and race baiter and will loose.

    PUMA 2008!

  • Northwest rain

CNN has Candy covering GWB — breathlessly she would report how Gov. Bush returned to his office to work — ans she and the rest of the press gang covered GWB’s every burp.

That was 2000 — and we know who was appointed by the Supreme Court.

  • http://www.TheOtherDemocrats.com Florida Ex-Dem

I’m trying everything I know to stay positive this week. It’s discouraging when the MSM is SO in Obama-shit’s pocket and no one seems to be capable of even LISTENING to what this guy is really all about. I never thought Americans could be so stupid – but wait – Americans voted for Bush, right? TWICE????

I feel this country is in for a world of BIG PROBLEMS if Obama is the POTUS, not to mention 4 more years of arrogance and ignorance. Oh, and then there will be the Obots who now feel that ‘their time has come’ and who will unleash and awful amount of violent, virulent crap upon the rest of this country.

  • makeji

She covered Bush and he won…

  • Annie

Candy just always looks like she ate something very bitter.

  • csuzeq

The polls are tightening and according to Hillbuzz there is no way Obama will take PA. I’ve heard he doesn’t stand a chance in hell in Ohio either.

stay positive. The O camp wants you to give up and stay home. The support is just as make believe as the candidate.

    Don’t fall for it!

  • Steve_in_KC

Maybe she’ll put the hex on him! (Crossing my fingers)

  • Midlife Mama

Shhhhhh…. Don’t give them any ideas, they just might pull her from his campaign!

Go Candy, girl, do your thang! :-)

  • Annie

the media are going to call for obama early to make it seem he has won and McCain/Palin supporters may as well stay home and not bother voting.

Also they are calling based on people coming out of the polls. I figure people who won’t tell who they will vote for are not going to tell the truth when the finish voting. So … it is easy to figure out you ahve to wait until all the votes are actually COUNTED.

  • Tess

If Obama is so confident, he wouldn’t need The Big Dawg for campaigning.
    PUMA you betcha!

  • Tony

But aren’t people tuning out of CNN?

  • JustMe

They can throw as many Candies to Obama as they can LOL
Howard Dean was soaring in the polls until Candy was switched to his beat. Hillary was inevitable until Candy started flying HillForce One.

I hope she has her own seat on “that One’s” plane..

Will it have her name stamped or embroidered on it??

Oh I am sure it’s going to be a TGIF this week when they open the flood gates…

    Roll on the weekend!

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of Planet Triskelion

Does CNN understand the power of Candy? Do they intentionally send her in when they want to tighten up a race?

LMAO. Who the fark knows but its a great question!

  • Shiloh

The only thing that depresses me is all you people who insist on being so damned depressed! There are two campaigns going on: the real one, and the one to convince you that Obama has already won. Stop following the second one. Stop paying attention to those polls UNLESS you mentally add 5 points to each for McCain because that is the reality.

Obama can’t close the deal. He can’t shift the reality from his meta campaign of deception and psy-ops over to the real world of people voting. He needed to be 10 points up in the phony polls. The reality as we speak is that he is at best tied and probably a couple points down and it is going to get worse for him.

I swear I’m coming in here on the fifth and I’m going to rag all you worriers mercilessly! Worry is meditating on the negative and that’s exactly what they want you to do. There is mind control going on but it’s in your mind. Just stop it. Get out and do something positive.

  • DAB

True, but Bush actually lost so you can’t blame Candy for his chicanery.

I have posted this a few times, and hopefully the McCain camp checks us out regularly…there needs to be an ad telling people to make sure they vote…the Election is not over until every vote is counted. The MSM will try to suppress voter turnout, while they encourage Obama supportors to go vote until the polls close. We could use a story on this topic…it is the most important message we can get out to everyone before Election Day.

I just saw Shep Smith getting all worried over Joe the Plumber saying Obama will be the death of Israel, what is Shep’s problem he has Joe on his show and drilling him about agreeing to that statement.

Joe told him its his opinion not McCain’s so what is the big deal can an average citizen not have an opinion about Obama?

Shep Smith really is an ahole, man I could not believe what I was hearing guess once Joe is not drinking the kool aid he will not be liked by some in the media, I say Joe speak your dam mind if that is how you feel that is how you feel, you dont’ have to cover your mouth for Obama like some will want you to.

OT and GREAT NEWS! Dow broke out today! By election day the doom and gloom of the market won’t be an issue. As of 4PM:

    Dow 9,068.14 +892.37 +10.91%

    Nasdaq 1,649.47 +143.57 +9.53%

    S&P 500 940.41 +91.49 +10.78%

    10 Yr Bond(%) 3.8200% +0.0910

And gas prices have plummeted a buck and a half since July. My tinfoil hat sees a coincidence but whatever the reason it is great news for Mac!

Guys the important thing is to vote. Keep the faith and VOTE.

  • Anee

I volunteered for the McCain campaign this past weekend and it was a wonderful experience. The volunteers who I worked with were from all occupations, race and age. Some were like me, democrats and former hillary dems.
We knocked on doors and spoke to the residents who were actually home, maybe two or three said they were voting for Obama, most said McCain. This was in Nevada, a battleground state.
So yes! Get out there and volunteer for McCain/Palin, its not a lost cause. You can phone bank from home on your computer… go to the McCain website.
    Keep fighting!!!

Did you ever see the movie, “The Cooler?” That’s Candy.

In the movie, William H. Macy is a kinda depressing guy who the casino owner, Alec Baldwin, hires to stand next to the gamblers and bring them bad luck at the tables. Macy is very, very effective at what he does. Let’s hope Candy brings the same bad things to barky!

  • Buzz Latte

OT: Does anyone know if Jennifer Hudson’s family lived in Obama’s area of Chicago? What a tragedy.

    Back to topic:

Let’s hope the Candy curse is in full effect from now until the election is decided.

Conservatives do not allow polls or the MSM (whom they see as crazy liberal) to discourage them from voting. Weather won’t stop them either. THey vote out of a sense of duty and they vote in a massive block.

If the PUMAs will join them there is great hope for John McCain and our country.

Elizabeth Edwards “not that fond” of Obama’s health care plan
    http://tinyurl.com/6s2d93

    [snip]

However, Edwards’ critique of Obama’s plan doesn’t mean that she’s saving any love for McCain’s health care proposals. Edwards – who has battled breast cancer since 2004 – said McCain’s plan fails in all important areas by leaving the decision-making process up to individuals, who can frequently “make stupid economics decisions.

sounds socialist to me if we can’t choose.

They are trying so hard to make it seem as if the election is over…so sad…but OT our pawnshops have been selling guns and ammo left and right, it’s like the apocalypse is coming! CNN and all of these other media stations are making the worst possible move telling everyone that Obama basically won. I was just in Wal Mart and it was soooo funny because this little ol lady behind me had me laughing so hard about that “Wolf fella” telling her every night Obama won. And that if he is psychic he might be in the wrong business. She said she was voting for McCain just to shut them up and not give them something to talk about.

She STILL had her Hillary button/pin deep deep deep down in her pocketbook she showed me once she realized I was listening.

I still have hope. Obama has raised in excess of 600 million (most of it illegally) and he still can’t close the deal. He actually has to “pay” people to volunteer for his campaign…how pathetic is that? The media spends all day telling everyone that it is all wrapped-up, and Obama will be the next president. Bulls..t! It ain’t over til its over folks. Nothing is written in stone yet. They do that to discourage McCain supporters from bothering to vote. I have already voted, but all of you who wait until election day, don’t get down and discouraged. That is what the koolaid drinkers want. Don’t let them win.

Well it looks like Obama has found a whole new slew of voters in Ohio….You are now allowed to use a park bench as a valid address for voting.

I bet someone is loading up the buses now…

  • BERNICE

I’ve been a democrat all my life until this primary season and I watched and listened to everything the democrats have done. Now that they selected a candidate for us I have been watching and listening to everything I can about Obama, which is sickening to the soul.
When Rev. Wright appeared on the scene and Obama said he never heard any of the remarks Wright has made I knew he was a LIAR! Everything to follow only confirmed that. Now to put the icing on the cake is when I found out that Obama, as a U.S. Senator took a trip to Kenya, on our money, before he ever went to Iraq showed me exactly where his priorities lie.
He went to Kenya to campaign for Railla Odinga, a radical socialist who also wanted to “spread the wealth.” He ran on the Orange Democratic platform for “CHANGE.” There a too many similiarities between what he is saying and what Obama is saying.
The similarity is frightening. So, I will not tell you who to vote for but PLEASE when you vote make sure it is for COUNTRY FIRST. Our country is in so much havo that we can’t afford to vote any other way.

Chicago is the murder capital of America and is over 400 million in debt. Does that tell you anything?

Daley Predicts 1 Million At Obama Election Party

CHICAGO (STNG) ― Mayor Daley predicted Tuesday that more than a million people would descend on Grant Park for Barack Obama’s election night “celebration” and said the city has no plans to screen people entering the park.

The mayor said “everybody’s talking about” the Obama celebration.

“It’s gonna be surprising. There’s gonna be a lot of people who will want to come down and celebrate…We hope it’s a million or more. It would be wonderful.”

The Chicago Sun-Times reported this week that the Police Department’s retired resident expert on security planning has been hired back-this time on contract—to quarterback logistics for the Obama rally.

Neil Sullivan will be paid by the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications at a rate of $100-an-hour with a $60,000 cap.

    Sorry lost my link….

Just past the 1/2 way mark of his race speech Obama lost me. He started off with some good comments and apologies, and then he started excusing Wright and any blacks that feel like Wright. Between that and the throwing of his grandmother under the bus I started researching.
So far Obama has lied so much about his past, associates/ mentors and his changes in policies that I dont know when to believe him any more.

Its not really Ayers, Wright or any other of the other associates of Obama. Its his constant lying about them that has me worried. WHY does Obama lie about them and feel he has to lie about them.

I’m delighted that changing the channel and banning both of the Obama Networks may help to contribute to their demise.

Already proudly voted for McCain last week! Feeling good and comfortable too.

  • Shiloh

I’m a geezer, been voting since 1972. You know who has their finger on the pulse of the electorate? Barbers. I was at my barbershop today and he said (we’re in Ohio) that McCain will win Ohio by a much bigger margin that Bush did over Kerry. He says he is seeing lots of people who were soft for Obama changing their minds in the last week. I asked why they are changing their minds and he shrugged and said they are only now starting to take a close look at him and the glitter has worn off (his exact words).

I asked about the undecideds and he said there are more than he has ever seen at this date and he believes they will break heavily for McCain. Why? he says they have bent over backwards giving Obama every benefit of the doubt but they still feel the downside risk on Obama is much greater than with McCain who they feel they know.

Lastly, I asked about turnout and media bias. Again in his barberly wisdom he says people don’t care much about what the news says anymore and that’s why the media is so in the tank for Obama – they are desperately trying to make themselves relevant again – trying to prove they have the clout to swing an election. Do they, I ask? No, because the undecideds are NOT paying attention to the media and that’s the only place the msm can have an impact. Turnout? This is really interesting – he thinks the media bias has created a grim kind of determination among McCain supporters and complacency among Obama supporters.

I have had this barber since 1988 and he has been right on every election, even those that didn’t go the way “I” wanted. How about a little trim around those giant ears Barky?

You thinking fat-ass Candy Crowley does a hard-hitting job shows your complete cluelessness.

    Crawl back under your rock.

    LOL! Go, Candy, go!

This independent (and my son and wife) voted for McCain and Palin today in early voting in Texas. I know, I know, Texas is a red state–but each and every vote counts, people.

No, they need to bring it on Thursday morning. It’ll take the piss out of Obama’s stupid infomercial tonight. ;)

Just like the announcement of picking Palin took the piss out of the Barackopolis speech. HA!

    Right on Shiloh —

Every time I see poll numbers — I keep thinking of the 80% hang ups.

The only poll that counts is the one taken on 4 November — and that means everyone MUST vote!

Republicans train their kids early to vote — no matter what — go out and vote. Since many of us are going to vote McCain-Palin — just vote and ignore what the lying media is saying. Never let the media whores tell you who to vote for.

Even if you are exposed to the Obama hypnotic tricks — just question what he says — be skeptical — that simple effort can over ride his hypnotic dirty tricks.

Yes to all that and he is a fraud. I wish the msm would cover things like his on line fund raising fraud. It will all be covered AFTER the election.
