Barack and Michelle Tell It–He Hasn’t Done Anything

Let’s just let Barack and Michelle Obama tell us about the Senator’s qualifications to be President. These are the words of Barack back when he actually meant what he said (thanks to Paul Villarreal for pulling these clips into a coherent whole).

Can we at least find out whether Barack balances his household’s checkbook? My guess is that Michelle takes care of that.

he couldn’t even write his own book:

    • Chicago Joe

Why isn’t the McCain camp running Michelle’s statement in their own ads? I am not an ad person by profession, but I could have done about 10,000% better than McCain’s ad people in creating ad messages for this thing. And they all don’t have to be negative. Just turn his words on himself. It is sad that they have let things get this close to slipping away.

  • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

oh my god, tooooo friggin funny! i have never seen that footage at the end, of michelle. love it!

    • lute

Hey, last night he made a HUGE statement.
The statement was “I went back on my word about campaign finance. And about everything else. Because I do not have the foggiest clue what I am doing.”

  • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

i am cross posting this. i love it.

  • jvsp

I wonder how some these people fill out resumes…

    • Lizzie Struthers

      Uh – with crayons?

  • Lizzie Struthers

Yeah these are some of the (relatively) sane people. A comment at the YouTube page is funny – and true!

And if he held the presidency for four years, it would be the longest stretch that he ever held a full-time job.

    • Zee

Well, he did say he was going to delegate the work of presidenting to others more qualified because he can’t even find a piece of paper once he’s put it down. (Neither can I…I need one of those delegatin’ type jobs!)

      • Lizzie Struthers

I literally said he couldn’t find a piece of paper? OMG.

    • AnninCA

I’ve thought that more than once.

    • Faith

Liz, good point about a full time job comment. I also think Obama will confuse the job of POTUS with his legislative jobs and try to VOTE PRESENT at the first 3am national crisis call. Scary!

  • Lessa

He should just run a PR firm and get the hell out of our lives.

    • Lizzie Struthers

Oh please. What a dream. But I don’t want him or Axelrod near any living thing. They’re evil.

    • BernieO

He wouldn’t show up to do his work.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah9W24oMIRc&eurl=http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com/

But he would take credit for the work everyone else did and there would be no Arlan Specter or Ted Kennedy to chew him out:
      http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/23/AR2008032301706_pf.html

Let’s not forget two things. First, this was a very junior Senator who was working to build up his cred for a run for president, yet he still acted lazy and incredibly arrogant IN FRONT OF THE PARTY LEADERS!

And second, those same leaders decided this guy was still a better bet than the incredibly hard working, knowledgeable, experienced woman.

Come to think of it, there is a third important point. The media completely ignored this very public behavior.

      • BernieO

Forgot to mention the fact that as chair of the foreign relations subcommittee overseeing European affairs since January ’07, he has yet to hold a hearing or meeting of any substance. (Does anyone have good a link for this? I have friends that don’t believe this is true.)

That PR firm would be in a lot of trouble with a boss like Obama.

  • Zee

OK, the site won’t let me post this with the link so you’ll have to search the story out yourselves on the times online uk.

Obama’s aunt has been found in South Boston and check it out…she says she can’t talk to anyone till after the election! Has Obama shut his family up?

    =======================

Speaking outside her home in Flaherty Way, South Boston, on Tuesday, Ms Onyango, 56, confirmed she was the “Auntie Zeituni” in Mr Obama’s memoir. She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”

    • tzada

So if she has been silenced too, he had to have known that she was there. hmmmmmm

The site won’t let you post the link? I find that highly improbable not to say unbelievable. It’s from the London Times, the most respected news source in the English speaking world.

      And here it is.

      • jbjd

…but editors substituted the photograph of BO for that of his aunt, which picture appeared in this article yesterday…

        • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

oh my god, you are right.

      • Zee

I meant this site. Sometimes I can get a link to post here and other times links cause the comment not to post.

Thanks to those who posted the link. Is there a way we’re supposed to post links using the button above the comment box?

    • Archimedes, give me a place to stand…

      Yeah, I caught that too. Let us recap the following;

Auntie in Boston can’ till after 11/4.

Govenor of Hawaii can’t release any till after 11/4

LA Times refusing to release NEWS, ostensilbly the purpose of their very existence, before 11/4

Kenyan officials won’ release THEIR doc’s till 11/4 regarding Obama. Now even restricting any access to his family there. Puzzling me is why would a Kenyan gov’t have any doc’s on you, me, Obama, or any AMERICAN CITIZEN! Other than entry/exit visasof course and those are not at all contreversal.

Either 11/4 is going to the most news worthy day since 9/11, or as I suspect, it will disappear down the rabbit hole.

This kind of blackout from the most transparent & open candidate? I feel like a bookmark stuck between the pages of “Animal farm”!

The UK journalists puts our MSM to shame.Time and time again they have out reported on this election more accurately than our own media. This is just another example of their superior reporting.Geraldine is right. If B.O. had not been an African American he would have been laughed out at the primaries.
Because of this charade of political correctness anyone presenting the TRUTH about Obama is called a racist.
I am so outraged by the immaturity of some people who are so defensive to anyone who does not march in lock step with them that they do to the opposing voices exactly what they claim their traditional enemies have done to them.

just voted by absentee ballot here in nyc yesterday for MCCAIN-PALIN!!!! It was exhilarating to be able to vote for a woman.

i was struck by the fact that i never had to show any identification at all—-which meant that if i wanted to go in as my neighbor with her address, i could have voted more than once.

i will go to PA again this weekend to hold up the sign Democrat for McCain…

    • wodiej

Picture ID required here in Indiana, law passed a few years ago. Dem’s bitched that it disenfranchised the homeless…..law stuck.

Heard massive early voting in Indiana is going on, I went the first week it opened…Indiana has always been a red state so this is good for us.

    • AnninCA

CA doesn’t have ID laws. However, there is a roster of registrants. If you’re not on that roster, then you have to vote by provisional ballot, which is then matched to the registrations.

I’ve never voted absentee, but I’m sure there’s a method for cross-checking in CA.

      • TeakWoodKite

provisional ballot, which is then matched to the registrations.

Hate to burst your bubble AnnieCa, respectfully, the provisional ballots are never counted.

    • jbjd

I wrote previously that, here in MA, the first time you appear at the polls after a mail-in registration, you must show an I.D. Yet, when I voted in the primary – against John Kerry – no one asked me for an I.D. Adding insult to injury to the integrity of the electoral process, I was handed 2 (two) ballots, by mistake. Being an honest person, I returned the extra ballot. (Writing this comment, it dawned on me; perhaps the white poll workers who failed to confirm my identity were off-put by the appearance of this white woman accompanied by a large black male who, unbeknownst to them, is my beloved teenage son; and abandoned prudent practice in their zeal to appear to be politically correct.)

  • Shiloh

“He’s running against our history, he’s running against our liberty.” Love that line.

    Larry I have a Question…

The polls…remember when they voted in Texas? The people who voted for Barack Obama didn’t vote down ticket. Nothing, Nada, I remember reading Tex. papers saying the only vote on the ticket was Obama.

People had to change party to vote for Obama and Hillary. Hillary voters, people did vote down ticket.(Rush)
Did this only happen in Texas? I don’t think so.

If these people changed party for the primary, did they change back for the GE? they wouldn’t have to, so if they are REP they will vote REP in GE but show up on books as DEM. They are using higher number of DEM in polls but are they DEM or REP?

Then I heard on Greta last night when P.U.M.A. guy was on, 20% of Hillary voters have not got in line and I think he said it could be as many as 4 mil. Would that be the Number who stayed DEM? I changed party. Many did. There was a campaign on line to get out of the DEM party by June 1 or something like that.

Do you think pollsters are taking the party jumpers into consideration? (Rush L.)

Lastly, when are we going to hear about Odinga on TV.?

    • notrees

I don’t know how many Republicans voted democrat in the primary, but I do know that on my way to vote (Texas) last Saturday I saw probabely 50-60 McCain/Palin signs in peoples yards and 2 for Obama and Biden’s name wasn’t even on the Obama signs.

      • 30yrdem

Those would be primary signs if they only have Obama.

      • babalu123

        votes counts, not signs!

        • AnninCA

Yes, Obama really hasn’t pushed the yard signs.

That’s not an indicator this year.

    • Zee

When, indeed, are we going to hear about Odinga on tv or in papers, anywhere!

My mom thinks I’m making it up out of “rumors on the internet” because it’s not been covered here.

They’d have to ask one of their own, Dick Morris, what he was doing helping Odinga, too. Don’t hold your breath.

    • wodiej

Indiana voters do not declare a party so they could easily vote Dem in the primary and Republican in the GE.

      • AnninCA

In CA, the only time your party designation matters is in the primaries.

  • http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com InsightAnalytical-GRL

carpetride–same thing here…I was told I really didn’t need to show my voter ID or license…an address would do? I asked if you had to show a bill proving yoo lived at the address and got a blank stare!!! WTF is that?????

AP finally coughed up a “vetting” article on the ADORED ONE…

Shocking! AP Writer Does Fact Check on Obama’s TV Infomercial!

    http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com/2008/10/30/shocking-ap-writer-does-fact-check-on-obamas-tv-infomercial/

    • http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com InsightAnalytical-GRL

      YOU now yoo…Jeez, it’s EARLY!!!

    • Zee

Why would we need to prove it? You’d have to know someone’s name and address and know they were registered but planned not to vote in order to game the system. Alllll that work for one measly extra vote and putting one’s own freedom on the line if caught.

What is the point of registering if you have to prove it over and over? You have to give your name and address. The addresses are by precinct so each precinct would know they are valid local addresses. This is such a nonissue. Where is the logic in this particular paranoia?

  • tattie

I voted McCain/Plain because Obama is not black to me, he is green, in the sense that he is not qualify for to be President.

  • Diana

This would be laughable if it wasn’t so serious in the fact that so many American’s know absolutely nothing about this man and yet are so willing to blindly trust him not only with their lives, but the lives of their children and grandchildren. He has no accomplishments. He has nothing but a trail a mile long of radical ties. I saw an interview early yesterday morning with someone from ABC those young adults didn’t even know what Roe V Wade was about, some of their comments were unbelievable. Including the women! These are the people that want the responsibility of the future of this country? The people Obama inspires…

I saw this video being linked to on Greta this morning, it’s long but I watched the whole thing. Seems to be upsetting to a lot of people. Here’s the link if anyone else would like to watch it. They got a couple facts wrong, like Obama was not born Barry Soetoro’s in 1961, then later changed his name. That was his adopted name. Not his birth name. But, it is very intense.

  • Doc99

    John Fund:

The Obama campaign denies it “has any ties” to Acorn, but Mr. Obama’s ties are extensive. In 1992 he headed a registration effort for Project Vote, an Acorn partner at the time. He did so well that he was made a top trainer for Acorn’s Chicago conferences. In 1995, he represented Acorn in a key case upholding the constitutionality of the new Motor Voter Act — the first law passed by the Clinton administration — which created the mandated, nationwide postcard voter registration system that Acorn workers are using to flood election offices with bogus registrations.

Ms. MonCrief testified that in November 2007 Project Vote development director Karyn Gillette told her she had direct contact with the Obama campaign and had obtained their donor lists. Ms. MonCrief also testified she was given a spreadsheet to use in cultivating Obama donors who had maxed out on donations to the candidate, but who could contribute to voter registration efforts. Project Vote calls the allegation “absolutely false.”

She says that when she had trouble with what appeared to be duplicate names on the list, Ms. Gillette told her she would talk with the Obama campaign and get a better version. Ms. MonCrief has given me copies of the donor lists she says were obtained from other Democratic campaigns, as well as the 2004 DNC donor lists.

In her testimony, Ms. MonCrief says she was upset by Acorn’s “Muscle for Money” program, which she said intimidated businesses Acorn opposed into paying “protection” money in the form of grants. Acorn’s Brian Kettering says the group only wants to change corporate behavior: “Acorn is proud of its corporate campaigns to stop abuses of working families.”

Ms. MonCrief, 29, never expected to testify in a case brought by the state’s Republican Party seeking the local Acorn affiliate’s voter registration lists. An idealistic graduate of the University of Alabama, she joined Project Vote in 2005 because she thought it was empowering poor people. A strategic consultant for Acorn and a development associate with its Project Vote voter registration affiliate, Ms. MonCrief sat in on policy-making meetings with the national staff. She was fired early this year over personal expenses she had put on the group’s credit card.

She says she became disillusioned because she saw that Acorn was run as the personal fiefdom of Wade Rathke, who founded the group in 1970 and ran it until he stepped down to take over its international operations this summer. Mr. Rathke’s departure as head of Acorn came after revelations he’d employed his brother Dale for a decade while keeping from almost all of Acorn’s board members the fact that Dale had embezzled over $1 million from the group a decade ago. (The embezzlement was confirmed to me by an Acorn official.)

I expect the usual response from the rest of the MSM – A Collective Yawn. I heard last night Chris Matthews auditioned for the role of Josef Goebbels in the Obama Administration.

    • babalu123

I JUST FEEL, THAT ….Republicans do not want McCain/Palin to win, because McCain/Palin will take a big fight against corrupted and ugly politicians , PORK PROGRAM LOVERS(OBAMA-PELOSI-REID-DEAN-HOYER ARE THIR CHAMPS)in Washington and elsewhere in the whole USA, they dont want them to stop corrupted democratic/republican team!!!

      • AnninCA

Some Republican pundits, such as George Will, are very clearly anti-McCain/Palin.

O’Reilly has been less than warm.

        Big deal.

Republican is just a false label, sort of like Democrat.

I identified with Democrat my entire life. I no longer do. The first time I said it out loud, it felt odd. Then I sort of liked it. Then I embraced it.

        People change.

And I never liked O’Reilly. He never has once said anything that persuaded me one iota.

He’s never raised a single thing that I hadn’t already thought through.

He’s so behind the ball, I find him literally boring. I nearly always think about his lack of good manners.

Rush……Rush is sometimes like that. But he does bring up new angles once in awhile. I find him amusing, anyway.

I personally am a lot more socially liberal than even most of the posters here. However, I’m moderate about my politics. I think change occurs slowly and methodically. Any attempt to rush society is always the key to a disaster.

        Give it time.

So I don’t think Republicans aren’t behind this ticket. I just think they rightfully have no clue as to where it will end up.

THEIR insiders are out of water, as they should be.

The problem is that Democratic INSIDERS are NOT out of water, and they should be, too.

Melanie Phillips of The Spectator (previous post on this thread) spoke my words exactly about Bobo being a Marxist and friend of racists, terrorists, and crooks–except I don’t think for a second that he’s on the verge of becoming Prez. His supporters in the MSM must think the least of black people of anyone in this nation. Apparently, they believe that just any black candidate should be propped up to amend for all white guilt and historic ills. By backing someone as flawed as Bobo, are they saying, “Well, what can you expect of a black man?” It sounds like it to me. (Recall how commentators insisted that all black churches are like Rev. Wright’s?) And all this propaganda about the rest of the world thinking we’d be so enlightened and forward-thinking to elect Bobo? The truth is they probably think America has gone completely mad and they’re about to get the brunt of it with everyone else!

Should results be kept secret untill election ends, and all results become public then??? Official day is 4th of November. It is just speculation now, or what???

    • AnninCA

Obviously, they do report them. Usually, Republicans are favored in early returns. This year, it’s been interesting since Obama was pushing the early vote.

In CA, it’s even now with absentee voting, for example. However, the most recent poll shows Obama carrying the state by 22%.
