I'm sure we can count on you to be the pres-elect's footwarmer.:) After the delerium over the election of the country's first black president settles down and people realize what a dreadful mess the new president has inherited, I think we need to hope he will really try to bring the country together to solve the many pressing problems which will demand his attention. His abrasive style aside, Rahm has a record of getting things done. Let's hope the choices he makes for his cabinet will be wise ones, as this will have great impact on his ability to accomplish his objectives. It may be politically important to include some supportive Republicans to assist him in reaching across the aisle to get bills passed in Congress. Also, when R.E was head of the DCCC, he made some dumb allocations of funds for Democratic congressional candidates who were unlikely to win and gave nothing to some who could haev win with a little extra help.
