Barack Obama, Community Organizer? BULLSHIT!

It is full on belly laugh territory watching Barack Obama strut peacock like on TV taking credit for organizing the international coalition to impose a no fly zone over Libya (but keep Qaddafi in place) when the United States played only a bit part. The lion’s share of the work behind the scenes was carried out by France. The USA was MIA and Barky was busy trying to get his Samba groove going in preparation for his excellent Brazilian adventure.

Watching Obama pathetic speech tonight it is clear he still does not understand military force, strategies or tactics. A no fly zone does not and cannot protect civilians who are in a city with enemy troops. Why? Because a pilot zipping along at 300 miles per hour 10,000 feet above the ground cannot distinguish between the friendlies and the bad guys. Air cover and close air support/bombing can be very effective in open areas against fixed targets. Air power can be devastating for armored columns moving methodically down the road.

But air power is useless if two warring sides hunker down in buildings and bunkers inside a city. Dropping a bomb on such a target is just as likely to kill women and children as it is Qaddafi soldiers. All of the premature celebration yesterday and earlier today about the collapse of Qaddafi support is now exposed as so much wishful thinking.

Is this really the best Obama can do? Good Christ!! Is this his equivalent of the Community Organizer fastball? He clearly does not know the first thing about organizing people to accomplish something. We’ve now spent close to $300 million in less than two weeks in Libya and Qaddafi is still holding on. And the US plan? Turn over the leadership and the mission to NATO. Except NATO can’t agree on anything other than the need to “protect the people” and “maintain” a No Fly Zone.

Two forces are emerging as important throughout the Middle East–a resurgent Muslim Brotherhood and Iran. It is important for you to understand that the Muslim Brothers and Iran are not allies in any sense of the word. Muslim Brothers are Sunnis. Iran is Shia. The true believers in each group despise the other. It appears that Muslim Brothers are busy working behind the scenes in Syria (probably with encouragement and money from Saudi Arabia). Creating problems for Syria is one way to try to create an indirect problem for Iran.

Muslim Brothers also appear to be expanding their influence in Egypt. It is no mere coincidence that rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel have escalated over the last two weeks.

Iran, meanwhile, is busy sowing unrest in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. No country is looking any longer to the US for a solution or guidance. It is every man and muslim for themselves. It is the ultimate game of survivor.

And Barack Obama? He’s just pleased that he got to fire off some cruise missiles but is now responsible for nothing because he has punted to NATO. That’s orgainizing?

The Harvard Law Review usually picks its editor by merit. The year Obama got it, they decided to do it by vote. Obama, famous for schmoozing up professors, won the election. The rules were changed back to the old way after his tenure since he didn’t publish, they also added a rule that you MUST publish when you are editor of the Law Review, due entirely to Obama’s lack of performance in the editorship. And Obama’s lasting legacy at Harvard Law?? The Obama-meter which measures how good you are at sucking up. No one has matched his skill at that since he left, by the way.

    >>> Somehow, I don’t think Qaddafi will be impressed enough to step down;

INTRANSIGENCE has worked well for Castro so far, hasn’t it? And he doesn’t even bother to blow up our airpliners or bomb the nightclubs where our servicement party in Europe.

  • Mr. Natural

    >>> This President has committed more treasonable offences than I’ve seen in my lifetime.  Yet, no one does anything.

Let me count the reasons this is so:

    1. Many members of the Parasitic Classes (otherwise unemployable Federal, State and Municipal employees; those living on the dole; government contractors and suppliers and lawyers/lobbyists) have never had it so good, and wouldn’t want their Rice Bowls broken.

    2. A fear on the part of many Majority Americans, buttressed by the liberal media and White Guilt that, because of HALF of his race, that Stymie’s untouchable status is necessary, lest Urban Americans st the cities alight.

    3. Nobody want to be thought of as a “Rayciss MF’er.”

    Again, welcoome to Steaming Turdistan.

If you love Mozambique or Liberia, you’ll be ogasmic over the piece of shit that this country will be by 2040 or so…

    >>> “Why invade Iraq and not North Korea…”

Obviously a statement made by a nitwit who has never visited Korea and seen the terrain.

Oh, by the way, we tried that once…didn’t End Well. or did they not teach American History at Occidental or Columbia?

Or, “a monkey trying to f*** a football.”

Cheaper to refuel them in flight than to move the support junk to someplace safe from prying eyes…like Diego Garcia. By the time they load all the asses and trash (un-official DoD term) onto C-5′s for a forward deployment, twelve tanker sorties becomes pretty cheap.

really fast trains to nowhere. - Yes, and we will all wind up either working for the government and being rewarded, drawing a subsistence check to not work at all or working for some corporate conglomerate who has a pseudo partnership with the government at a wage controlled by wage competition with the third world. No middle class, no entepreneurship, no small business we will all be the same except many here will believe we are free whereas the Chinese are suffering from state communism. We will be much the same. A new democrats wet dream. The regular people like rats on a wheel toiling in futility while the priviledged with ties to government live lives of luxury.

My thoughts exactly when Larry said he couldn’t get over ’0bama strutting like a peacock taking credit for organizing the coalition of nations’- that he always took the credit.  Someone from the Illinois legislature said 0bama would let everybody else do all the heavy lifting on legislation, but at the end would swoop in and take the bows when it passed.

    Some things never change.

This video should go viral!  There are so many parallels with Obama and the governance of the Democrats.  The control China has over the media mirrors Big Media in the USA smearing and attempting to silence their critics whether its the Republicans, the Chamber of Commerce, or the Tea Party.

O/T  Schumer was caught on tape reminding his colleagues to use the term “extremist” 24/7 when talking about the Republicans.  As if we didn’t know their MO. :)

  • AbigailAdams

EWard:  Chilling, isn’t it?  This is what a country looks like under communism, er, excuse me, state capitalism (which is touted by the left here).  For starters, under obama, we’ll have really fast trains to nowhere.

  • oowawa

PS–Ferd, I saw your name on my Facebook page, which I have never used and have set up rather tentatively (I don’t know how to use it), but it has strangely disappeared before I could “friend” it (if that’s what you do).  I’ll figure it out.  This is a strange new device to me….

  • oowawa

Hi Ferd–I was thinking, there are many ways whereby he could become a martyr–one of which would be by impeachment.  Anything that would remove him from office other than as the results of a fair election could potentially make him a martyr.  If anything happens so that enough people can construe that he was “driven” from office for vindictive racism (no matter what the evidence might be), he can become a martyr.

  • Ferd Not-My-Site-(click to edit) Berfle

If it looks like he is going to lose the election, he will become more valuable to them as a symbol–as a martyr….
    =======================
The Secret Service will put the brakes on that, I’m sure. But I agree with you about the value to them of such an act. The left have no ethical standards of conduct by which to guide their malformed egos.

  • Cindy

    LOL oowawa!!! So funny!

  • EWard

Thanks for sharing the video.  There are 64 million vacant apartments, and China keeps on building stuff with no demand.  This reminds me of Obama’s handling of the economy.  He’s throwing stimulus money at projects that create no jobs.

however some of the phrasing is quite lovely but better suited to a made for tv romance movie and not appropriate in the least to what’s really going on in this world.

It’s all soaring flights of rhetorical hogwash, bereft of any real meaning. His writers just stick together words that sound pleasant but lack any real substance. I’ve tried reading the crap and it’s horrible. It is fitting That One should read dreck that lacks substance as it fits his persona–no fucking substance, either.

In college, my professors had a word for his kind of tripe–stilted language and gobbledegook.

Speaking of Mexico, Acapulco is not the destination of choice for spring break this year. The high level of violence in the country seems to be keeping them away. The only argument that the Mexicans seem to be able to come up with is that the drug cartels are not targeting tourists. What a comfort!! Not exactly a guarantee of safety, though. I guess they never heard of collateral damage.

Well, Cindy, in retrospect, I’d have to say that the Harvard Law Review was on the “right side of History” in appointing Obama, who as we know has become the most Historic bipedal hominid to ever walk the face of the Earth.  Similarly, the Nobel Prize committee sagely foresaw his ultimate Historicity and the great potential he would certainly some day fulfill….

JUST FOR THE RECORD: Herr Obama does not ‘give’ speeches. He reads them from a teleprompter.”

Yes, that’s generally well known esp. by people here which makes all this “he gives a good speech” commentary ring weird and hollow. He doesn’t give a good speech, with those empty eyes. He just reads them. Now he’s not the first or only like this. Reagan did too. But Reagan had been an actor–somehow it made sense, and nobody was fooled. This one? He’s like a pod-person, except there never was anything in the pod to start with.

  • oowawa

    Exactly right, helenk.

I tink we ought to get Our Military out of the Middle east..save the Money..cxome home..solve ourt own problems..and just Conduct  Covert Ops..without sending our guys out in Hummers to keep getting Blown up..
Herr Obama..Hmmmm. The Decider for the Fouth Reich..?

  • Puddy Tat

JUST FOR THE RECORD: Herr Obama does not ‘give’ speeches. He reads them from a teleprompter. They are written to order by people behind the scenes who are instructed on content, tenor, and all the other elements that follow very narrow ‘quidelines’.  Obama is not a leader in the old sense of that word’s meaning. Rather, he is a spokesman for a group of people who ‘suggest’ how he should dress, act, move, speak, and so on. Because he is as much a part of media as any of the ‘readers’ who tell people what the news is, and how to react to that news, and what to think, Obama is only a figurehead. What puzzles me, is who picked him and who tutored him before all this strutting and speaking. Who are the people behind the scenes, that stand in the wings and direct his every action. If his record speaks for who they are, I would suggest that the American people have been duped by a cabal of puppet masters whose purpose is not to further out aims but those of Arabs and Muslims. But, then again, I am only one person. What say the rest of you? Have you had similar feelings of unrest in your own hearts and minds? This is, of course, not to disregard what we actually know of Obama’s past associtations and relations with people whose motives are questionable, if not treasonous.

Completely OT, but had to share:  China’s Ghost Cities.  Utterly amazing.  NYT’s lauded one of the city’s malls as “proof” of the Chinese burgeoning consumer culture.  You’ll be floored.
