Future Criminal In Training Gets A Bit of A Shock * OPEN THREAD!

Editor: This is a OPEN THREAD too.

*Somebody* kept stealing this man’s McCain signs and he was sick and tired of it. So he bought on of those invisible dog fence units and wired it to the sign.

Lo and behold, up comes this nine year old who is in training as a future criminal. He’s already holding somebody else’s McCain sign. Zzzzt.

The father of the little creep was angry and visited the man and was shown the setup. I only can hope that the father also visited his son’s butt but that wouldn’t be Politically Correct. We need to allow kids to express themselves by doing things like stealing other people’s private property.

I got a certain amount of satisfaction watching this kid learn that sometimes there are consequences to your actions. It’s nice to know he learned it BEFORE he learns the art of Breaking and Entering.

If you feel badly for this kid, please raise you hand. Anybody? Anybody?

Also, tar works wonders. You stick tar at spots on the sign and the kid goes home with permanently ruined clothing. When he comes around the next day, he might just walk by your house. If it’s an adult with a child’s mentality and he tosses the sign in his car, he can also kiss his upholstery goodbye. A little lesson in You Reap What You Sow.

LOL, I JUST posted this to my blog, too. SWEET justice!

Crucial new VIDEO: Obama calls $1 Trillion tax hike a “small adjustment” by re-defining $97K family income as “upper class”

I found a video clip in which Obama totally redefines what middle/upper class income is and who should pay more taxes. He is quoted on video. I think this is newsworthy, given the current focus on Obama’s plan to tax a larger number of families. The video shows Obama directly stating this. It is far less difficult to interpret than, say, the Chicago NPR audio-only about redistributive change. This is a video that’s ready-made for a campaign spot and for video news releases. All people will understand it.

In this video, Obama defined $97,000 family income as “upper class” and subject to $1 Trillion in tax increases in debate within the last year and in policy proposals. He also makes a similar claim in writing in an Op-Ed (see below).

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-SavgJlBLA

The key minute: Watch from 1:15 to 2:15 for Obama’s remarkable claim that $97K family income is “upper class”

Of course there are other videos of this same debate, Nov 2007, Las Vegas from which you can clip these quotes, but this one just puts in the context of Obama/Biden redefining Middle Class income from $250K to $200K to $150K to $97K is “upper class.” and the top group—and subject to big tax hikes.

      http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=3638710&page=1

I wonder how many families with 2 or 3 kids in middle class suburbs of our major cities would consider their $97 K income to be “upper class.” If any of those kids plan to go to college, the families will hardly be living like the upper class on $97K.

      Obama’s Op-Ed

      http://www.qctimes.com/articles/2007/09/21/opinion/opinion/doc46f35dac127eb409456532.txt

“… raise the cap on the amount of income subject to the Social Security tax. If we kept the payroll tax rate exactly the same but applied it to all earnings and not just the first $97,500, we could virtually eliminate the entire Social Security shortfall.” – Op-Ed by Barack Obama, Quad City Times, Sep., 2007

Definitely. Let’s get this out to the McCain people and to as many people on YouTube as possible.

Here’s an inflammatory reminder of Barack Obama’s affinity for Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Wright’s anti-American and anti-white attitudes and Wright’s disdain of both Hillary and Bill Clinton:

Less than 25% of US households make over $97,500.

Even if you just limit it to householders under 65

It’s just over 17% of households if you only count householders 25-34 years old.

16.5% of Female householders make over $97,500 while 25% of Male householders do.

Only just about a quarter of households with children under 18 make over $97,500.

So yes, for a married couple with children, $97,500 is upper middle class (defining middle class as 25th-75th percentile income – $97,500 is 65th percentile).

But less than 6% of single mothers earn that much, less than 15% of single fathers earn that much, and less than 12% of unmarried couples earn that much. Just 68% of families with children have two married parents.

You may be wealthy enough that $97,500 a year doesn’t seem to be much to live on for a year, but remember there as many families with children under 18 living on under $37,500 a year as there are living on more than $97,500. The median income for a family with children is $61,000 a year.

First– is that 97K BEFORE taxes or after? Big difference.

Either way, you’re not factoring in an ENORMOUS variable, that being the Cost of Living! Trust me, I could live very comfortably on my salary if I moved — but um, of course then I wouldn’t have my job…

Anyway… the reason I make what I do is because in the metro area I live, the cost of living is just freaking high, period. I rent b/c I can’t afford to buy here. Everything is expensive. I have a one room apt (I mean one ROOM, not 1 BR) and it still costs me OVER 50% of my salary.

Try it. Go check out a cost-of-living calculator and see how far it goes in a few diff places.

For example, a couple living on that “wealthy” 97K in New York City is equivalent to making $49,007 in Waterloo Iowa. $46,023 in Pocatello, Idaho, $50,465 in Little Rock, Arkansas… So should the folks making 97K NYC-dollars be considered to be at the same “rank” as someone making that much in Little Rock and thus be hit with the same taxes?

If a family making 37K were to try to move to NYC, they would effectively be making $19,249.

It’s comparing apples to kumquats if the cost of living is NOT factored into the evaluation.

        • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

If I paid for my own education and worked hard to advance myself, why do I have to “remember” that others didn’t? If I made sacrifices…as in I didn’t buy what I couldn’t afford….so that I could build a life savings, what makes you think it’s “fair” for you to take some of it? If I budgeted myself so that I responsibly paid my bills, there is no reason on earth I am going to let you punish me for it.

Do you know that in NY City, 97k gets you nothing? 97k works really well in the town of Bumfuck though.

And what happened to the 95% of Americans who were going to get a “break”. So now it’s 75%?

The truth of the matter is nobody in this country who ever succeeded got there by waiting for a government handout. There are plenty of wealthy people in this country who BUSTED their ASSES to get there.

Who the heck are you to decide I owe you a thing? I gave more to charity last year that Joe Biden did. Let HIM help you out.

Most of the people who feel like you do are young people pushing thirty who are accustomed to tapping their parents’ wallets for bright shiney objects. Socialism is a natural progression for them. They are going to get a huge surprise when they find out that their parents’ pot of gold is getting a lot smaller and they might have to pay for their own cell phones, car leases and insurance, heat, food and taxes for a change. It’s called growing up and taking responsibility for your own life.

Now don’t get me wrong. I think everybody is entitled to screw up their own lives. Just don’t expect me to cheerfully pay for their screw ups.

At this very moment, people who were smart enough to grow in America are figuring out how to keep their money from Barack Obama and his merry band of thieves. And make no mistake. They will succeed.

You advance NO ONE by dragging down those who do well. All you succeed in doing is dragging THEM down. And wait till you see the REST of America’s jobs heading overseas. They are going to run from Barack Obama like there’s a fire. Small businesspeople are not going to take a cut in their income. Instead they are going to lay enough people off to recover. And why shouldn’t they? They are in business to DO BETTER. They pay the bills, do the worrying and take the risks. So stand by to watch unemployment grow.

          Just brilliant.

          • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

…and one more thing. There are MILLIONS of immigrants who came to America to get AWAY from that kind of government.

    • JM

It kind of looks like the kid actually has an Obama sign in his hand to me. I thought that I saw that stupid “Change” emblem on the one side, and the letter “O” on the other side. Am I wrong?

      • beebop

He had taken the plastic envelope style McCain sign off and was going back for the metal rods. Probably has no idea what the hell he’s doing but has heard so much hate at home. Maybe family services needs to check on his home life.

        • John House

Not true. He was holding an Obama sign and was going to switch out the signs. Watch the video carefully and you will see that that is an Obama sign in his hands.

    • Phillymiss

I guess this kid got a “trick” instead of a “treat!”

Seriously though, the parents should have been zapped instead of the kid — they’re the ones who probably put him up to it.

In my neighborhood there are about five Barky signs. I feel mildly annoyed when I see them, but all the same, people have the right to their own opinions, even if I disagree. I would never take down anyone’s signs!

Anyway, have a fun and safe Halloween!

  • John House

Oh, and P.S. He is not holding someone else’s McCain sign, that’s an Obama sign in his hands. He was going to try and switch them out.

It’s pretty sick that Obamatrons are using their children to do their bidding.

  • jwrjr

The report that I read on this is that the kid was carrying an Obama/Biden sign to put in the yard.

    • Keia

I guess you’re lucky it’s a white kid or else you’d be a racist for posting this.

      • Baba Rum Raisin

If the kid were non-white, the Spirit of Tawana Brawley would be warming up at Teterbooro to bring Al and Jesse and Maya down to do a “Jena 6″ number.

  • http://medusa2.wordpress.com medusa

Ha Ha Ha, Love this! Great idea.

I came home from work yesterday to find that someone put an Obama sign in my yard. I can’t tell you how many Hillary signs were stolen during the primary. Now I have a Party Unity My ASS sign on my car, which I’m sure everyone has seen.

During the night, that Obama sign was vandalized–not taken, but cut to shreds. Now instead of saying anything, thin ribbons of color just blow in the wind.

    I can’t imagine how it happened…..

    • Carol

Leave it, just get out a black permanent marker and draw a big circle with a slash through it! :)

      • Jan

Or put a big N in front so it says “Nobama”

  • http://mccaindemocrats.wordpress.com/ 30yrdem

I was going to do that if we had problems. We have a dog fence charger thing and I would have done it but so far my sign is still there with a flag stuck in the ground by it. I have one more if I need to replace it and it will be wired up.

No I don’t feel sorry for the kid for getting a little shock but I feel sorry for him if his parents put him up to it. Pretty low thing to teach your child.

Seriously, a kid that young only stealing McCain signs.. You just know the father encouraged him to do that.

    • Zee

I see I wasn’t the only one who thought this. It had to be the parents…and typically the scummy father is mad at the man who wired his sign instead of realizing what it meant that he was sending his kid out to do this!

    • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Daddy wants his free handout of somebody else’s earnings.

  • Zee

I don’t get it….why was he shocked before he touched the McCain sign in the yard? Why did he even touch that lone stick?

That’s a great idea to protect signs, tho!

Also…he already had a McCain sign…plus was regularly stealing this man’s signs?

C’mon, what little kid cares that much about politics? I’ll bet you it was his thug father who put him up to this….maybe even paid him per sign! I wish someone would do a little undercover work and find out from the kids in the neighborhood.

    • Touchet

It was a fence you just can’t see the wires because the resolution on the webcam is too low.

    • Rob G in Chicago

There was a trip wire before he got to the sign, and that is what carried the charge. I understand that Obama campaign materials must be purchased. They are not given away. Obama uses this technique so that he can classify the purchase of signs and pins and bumper stickers as “small donations” from his cult followers, and increase the percentage of his total haul that is derived from “small donations” (as a way of covering up the facty that he gets millions from overseas and the hedge fund managers). That being said, of course it was one of the kid’s parents who purchased those signs and put him up to this. What kid would blow his lunch money or allowance on Obama campaign propaganda, and if the kid was stupid enough to blow his money on that crap, a little electroshock therapy might do him a world of good.

    • http://rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

Yes – did you notice the kid went BACK to touch the metal piece? ANd he clearly was not hurt.

So, the dad storms over – do you think the man who set it up asked if his son was an Obamatron in training with the vandalism, theft, and trespassing??? Just another generation of kids learning to win at all and any cost…

    • Jan

Hey, his father’s just getting him ready for his future career as head of Acorn!

      • b mathews

or maybe he’s being indoctrinated into obamas private militia.

  • bemused

Shoulda been the dad, but it works for me if the kid gets a little shock (obviously he was not injured at all) and then gets to watch his dad get smacked down for letting him steal.

Honestly, it seems like this is a problem all over. No one is learning moral rules, they are learning cheating techniques. Schools have been very much hurt by trying to cater to everyone’s sensitivities and making morals relativistic.

I know many people blame the media culture, including the game industry, for moral decline. There is plenty there to criticize. But now that I myself am involved in making games, I have to say the creators who come up with them can make a positive difference. There are enough publishers for all media so that every shade of morality can get published.

I have to conclude it is a family thing. Morals are learned at a very early age from those close by. Single parent or both, they set the tone.

    • JustMe

If an ivisible dog fence is a TRAP, then they shouldn’t be sold.

      • McHope

Right. How is it any different than having had it out there to keep a dog in the yard?

        • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

that’s what I was going to say. same thing. the only difference here is he had a sign on it, drawing attention to the fact that there was a shock line there.

kids dumb fault he wandered over and tried to steal it.

      • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

I agree. It keeps your dog in, but it doesn’t keep the neighbor’s meaner dog out. A dog cannot escape his domain inside one of those fences. That’s good, but only if he is not being attacked. I never liked those ‘fences’.

    • waldenpond

This is on elsewhere…. there was a sign in the yard noting the hazard (it’s just a dog security system) and the police were called and are not pressing charges. The guy was videotaping his own property… he wasn’t trying to ‘injure’ anyone.

      • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

He did not break the law.

    • jrterrier

you cannot protect property with deadly force, but there was no risk of death from this man’s contraption. there is nothing in the law that prohibits a person from protecting his property with and that is all this man did. the father of this child, should have taken his son over to this man’s house and asked the child to apologize.

that’s what my husband did when my then-12-year old son and his two buddies vandalized a neighbor’s mailbox. then we made our son buy the man a new mailbox and help install it. he never did it again.

and i was a liberal DEM until this election.

This is the first time I have ever voted for a Republican for anything!

I met PUMA’s in line also!

We will give McCain/Palin a victory in 2008!

I am still hoping Hillary will run in 2012, even though I am disappointed in her support for BO.

          • JM

Yay! I love my fellow Democrats voting for McCain. I will be voting a straight Republican ticket in Florida on election day. I, too, have never voted for a single Republican in my voting history. It’s sure is time for a change! :)

    • Soldier of Christ

I think you are wrong. There is rumors that the polls are showing Mccain gaining speed over Obama even in Iowa. Here in florida 2.1 million absentees were turned in and it shows 50% Mccain and Obama in the 30s. One of the ex-campaign workers that is now a Mccain supporter said that she and others are trained to use the Media and the polls to supress the Republicans from coming to vote. I really don’t think the Republicans are going to stay home on this election- especially the jewish republicans in Florida- I doubt it!

      • JustMe

        or the Cubans~~

    • Deep Truths

When there is 80% hangups on pollsters, then even the vaunted Obama-leaning Gallup polls are useless.

The other day Gallup had it at 3% point difference. I suppose that on that day they were trying to save their tattered reputation.

One things for sure, after this election, no media or pollster will be immune from utter disdain from the public. A McCain/Palin landslide will kill two birds with one stone.

      • Ted Kennedy’s Swim Coach

        Agreed.

Also, I have had poll solicitors calling during the work day when I am normally not at home. Most McCain supporters actually have JOBS and are not home during the day…

However, as most Obie supporters are underage, or not working, they are available to answer phone calls.

The polls are disguising the truth, which is that McCain will win, thanks to us!

    • Jillie

awww. that makes me so sad. guess i’m not going to vote now…NOT!

what jerks these people are. do they actually believe we give a shit about polls anymore? do they really think they have been successful in demoralizing us?

try looking at the primaries, moron, when barky was declaring ‘race over’ and hillary was winning by more than 40%. we don’t buy your shit anymore. go back to your leader and get new instructions. this tactic is failing miserably.

  • Concerned Citizen X

This is a nine-year old CHILD you are talking about. He has no idea what he is doing other than maybe vaguely “stealing” but was probably put up to it by the father or by absorbing the father’s biases. In any case, it is SHAMEFUL to laugh about a 9-year-old getting an electric shock. The writer of this post should be VERY ASHAMED and I suggest, Larry Johnson, that you REMOVE THIS POST IMMEDIATELY. It is an offense to common decency and does your website no credit.

    • Touchet

      give me a break.

      • Concerned Citizen X

Maybe the moral relativism of the Obama campaign is rubbing off on you. Are you a parent?

        • Urban Hillbilly

Obviously, you never visited a cattle farm as a child.

          • Concerned Citizen X

Was this a cattle farm? Doesn’t look like it from the video. Looks like a suburban street corner. Lots of cattle there, eh?

            • SensibleWomanNOTforBO

You should be thanking that child’s lucky stars that he gets THIS little shock now that hopefully will STICK in his head BEFORE he grows up to become a more brazen criminal in his late teen/early adult years and is blown away by a property owner protecting his property from criminal ways and behavior.

The PARENTS of this child should be charged with neglect.

            • Urban Hillbilly

Every kid touches the electric fence once!

I’ve had a belly full of “self righteous” 0mama supporters. Please don’t waste your breath. Unless your concern includes removing this little thug in training from his parent’s domicile, beat it.

        • KathyNeocon

Maybe the moral relativism of the Obama campaign is rubbing off on you. Are you a parent?

Clearly it’s rubbed off on you. You’re defending the thief and chastising the victim of an attempted crime(the property owner). Typical liberal nonsense––”boo hoo…poor me…I tried to steal someone else’s property and I got a shock….”.

      • McHope

The property owner protected his property. He/she could have no way of knowing a child would be put up to stealing and vandalizing it.

        • Concerned Citizen X

I’m not accusing the homeowner, although I question putting up an electric fence where a child had easy access. Was it a farmhouse? Near a forest? Any wild animals like coyotes nearby? No? Then, I’m sorry, no fence.

I’m pointing out that no-one should laugh at the child getting shocked.

          • Leisa

Obviously, this child has learned that it is reasonable to steal private property if is communicates a message he disagrees with.

            Where did he learn that?

          • waldenpond

What are you talking about…. there is no ‘electric fence’ involved. It’s a friggin’ dog collar system (so they don’t wander) you can get at any Home Depot.

that kid could have been kidnapped by a crazy person – his mother said she let him go out alone without knowing what his intentions were.

and you’re upset with us? the parents of that child need a visit from CPS! Today!

Nobody should laugh at SNL’s skit saying that Todd Palin’s “doing his daughters” but everyone did that watches that show. Save your indignation for the big stuff. Kids imitate what they see the adults around them do and this kid’s probably seen Daddy vandalize other signs.

    • Idiocracy08

the CHILD was trespassing and trying to steal property.
      he was not hurt.
i feel really bad for the kid to have influences in his life like he does.

Because this man took video of this and it’s becoming an issue…maybe, just maybe, that kid’s parents will get a little visit from CPS.

      • Concerned Citizen X

So you think it’s ok to use even mild electric shock on a child as punishment? Are you parent? Do you know what you are saying???

        • bemused

Parents are responsible for seeing that their children are safe. I wouldn’t let my kid wander into a strange yard, a shock might be the least of his problems. And there are shocker fences all over so–take your concern and use it to monitor your own behaviour instead of expecting others to do everything for you/your child.

          • Concerned Citizen X

Look buddy, I’m not accusing the homeowner, but I do question the validity of the fence. I’m saying this post with it’s jeering attitude is wrong-headed and morally out of touch. Save the moral indifference for the thugs over at the Obama compaign.

            • bemused

Moral indifference would be saying it is ok to steal. A child of 3 already has a sense of “mine” and “not mine” so a child of 9 has no excuse at all. If he were stealing from a store, he would be subject to being sent to juvenile court in my area. If his dad were sending him out to steal/trespass, he would be subject to investigation by CPS and might lose his child. This is the morality, thou shalt not steal!
You are trying to create a faux outrage and blame the victim. The owner had put up a warning and the device doesn’t rise to the level of an attractive nuisance. No one is happy to see that a man is sending his child out to steal, or that a child is shocked, they are happy that thievery is punished in a meaningful yet NOT damaging way. This is a morality that is wired into us, actually, a profound psychological bias. You’re the one that is out of step here, bub.

          • Rob G in Chicago

Yes, that mild electric shock was way out of bounds, he should have chosen a more subtle and compassionate deterent like siccing a pit bull on the kid, or waterboarding, yeah, that’s the ticket. :) The only thing that would have made that video better would have been if that kid had touched the wire while holding his father’s hand.

            • Concerned Citizen X

dude, you should go join the Obama campaign. you sound like one of their thugs.

              • Rob G in Chicago

Dude, you should take your overwrought paternalism, and show some concern for the lessons that young kid will learn if he is permitted to continue in his campaign of theft. Obama stole the primary, and he’s trying to steal the election as well. My comments about pit bulls and waterboarding were facetious. I have not advocated, nor do I advocate physically damaging the kid. Maybe yelling at him (if he was actually caught) might do the trick, but I’d bet that the homeowner had set the video camera and the wire fence, and was not constantly monitoring same. Just about anything that homeowner could have done would have met with disapproval by some bleeding heart. If he had yelled at the kid, someone would have accused him of verbal assault, and permanently traumatizing the little perp. If he had grabbed him and held him until his father came to pick him up, he would have been charged with false imprisonment and kidnapping. This was a minor corrective action that apparently served its purpose, without causing injury, and would not have been necessary at all had the kid learned acceptable manners and behavior from his parents. Because of the failure of his parents, it was left to “the village” (Hillary was right!) to take corrective action. But thank you for the thug accusation. I’ve never been called that before, and I suppose that is better than racist and delusional. Having lovingly raised five successful kids, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, rarely having to do anything more than shoot them a disapproving look, I guess that I had better warn my family to stay away from me.

                • Concerned Citizen X

Listen. Think about why you left the Democrats behind. Think about all the jeering, the laughter, and the nastiness that was wrong. Now think about yourself with kids. Would you have ever used electric shock on a kid? Before now, would you really have laughed at it? Or is your anger at Obama causing you to accept whatever you see here? Wasn’t it because you saw what was wrong with the Dems that caused you to not “accept what you see here” about Obama and the dirty tricks the Democrats were playing? Think about it. There is no way you can justify laughing at a 9-year-old getting an electric shock. No way. It simply isn’t funny.

                  • Rob G in Chicago

It was not funny to you, and I’m not saying that I found it to be a laugh riot either, but neither did I see this as some horrible atrocity or torture. It was a mild lesson in life that apparently caused no lasting damage, and may well have had a lasting benefit, if the kid learns not to steal the property of others. I did find this to be an amusing lesson in morality, and it would not be at all amusing if I beleived for one moment that the kid had been harmed or burned or somehow short circuited. If this had been entered at America’s Funniest Videos, I doubt that it would have won the top award of the show, but I doubt that many folks in the studio audience would have found it disturbing, unlesss the kid was apparently hurt. Your sensitivity on this issue is apparently higher than others at this site, but higher sensitivity does not necessarily make your position more correct and everyone elses’ position “thugish”. I’m sorry, I just don’t accept your position of moral superiority.

                    • Concerned Citizen X

Look, I think you’re getting a bit mixed up here because you don’t like my firm stance, which I think is appropriate considering that much of what is posted here is about how morally bankrupt Obama and his campaign are. I am pointing out that it is not appropriate to make light of a an image of a child getting shocked. As I have said, a sober article on how this child has obviously been subject to crazy indoctrination would have made sense and been appropriate. I take issue with the jeering tone of the poster who seems to think it’s ok to joke about it. This smacks of the mentality of the Obama campaign, a mentality of thuggery and wanton disregard for ethical and moral concerns when it services the campaigns agenda. I’ll say it again, it is wrong to laugh at an image of a child getting an electric shock, however mild. However much you may think it is justified to punish the child, electric shock is NOT justified. If this were on America’s Funniest Home videos I would have the same concern. I am alarmed that partishanship against Obama, which is totally justified, may be causing people to be blind to things they would normally take offense at, like making fun of a kid getting shocked. From your description of yourself, you do not sound like the sort of person who would ever condone shocking a child of 9, however deserving of punishment. So I ask you again to think about whether or not your feelings about Obama are causing you to overlook something you would otherwise agree is wrong. This is what is wrong with Obama’s supporters. We must not give in to it as it is part of why we are correct in calling Obama on his crap. Otherwise we’re just hypocrites.

So you think it’s ok to use even mild electric shock on a child as punishment? Are you parent? Do you know what you are saying???

Yes, it’s ok for someone to use shock to protect his/her private property from thieves. NEWSFLASH: the little brat was trespassing with intent to steal. Whether a 40-year old man or a 9-year old boy, you trespass to steal, you suffer the consequences.

          • Zeke

Is there a Federal protection for a person defending his First Amendment rights?

    • Minnow

Stealing is an offense to common decency. Maybe the minute shock this child received will help to deter him from trespass and theft in the future. It is sad that he had to learn this way, but clearly his parents have failed to prevent his delinquency. Better a short, sharp shock and learn the lesson, than get away with it, be applauded by his peers and parents and think it’s “cool” to behave in such a fashion.

      • Concerned Citizen X

Sorry. There is no justification for using electric shock on a nine-year old child. Even if you believe in some kind of corporal punishment, electric shock is way over the line.

        • Rob G in Chicago

The kid probably got more of a jolt by playing with his parents’ vibrator in the bathtub. If this was a dog fence type charge, it was just a tingle. It doesn’t take much of a charge to get the point across to most dogs. Kids, well they are another matter.

          • BlueTopaz

When I was a kid, it was a dare to touch your tongue to a 9 volt battery. Harmless and we did it on purpose.

        • Idiocracy08

ok, first off, no one wants to use electric shock on a child. you’re acting like he was tried and found guilty and then sentenced to an electric shock. or like the homeowner intentally wanted to hurt a child. it probably never even crossed his mind that it was a kid.

the kid got shocked himself because he was doing something he shouldn’t have.

i understand that you believe that the homeowner should have been more thoughtful and considerate to the thieves/thugs in his neighborhood.

and by the way…are YOU a parent? would you let YOUR kid wander off like that? if that kid got hurt, it was his PARENTS fault for their neglect.

        • tek

The guy didn’t set the shock to shock ” a nine-year-old child.” Get over it , will ya? Take your righteous indignation to the parent of the kid. What morals are they teaching him? This was a perfectly good lesson for the kid not to do what he did.

      • Concerned Citizen X

Give me a break. Anyone who thinks shocking kids is OK has a screw loose. You can’t justify using it on a 9-year old kid. No way, no how.

        • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

he didn’t *use* it on a 9 year old kid. the nine year old kid trespassed on HIS property and tried to steal private property.

          • Concerned Citizen X

You guys are so invested in defending the post that you are missing my point. MY POINT is that the TONE of the article making FUN of a child getting the shock is INAPPROPRIATE. If the post had been a sober reflection on the madness that Obama so suffuses in his followers that it seeps even into their young children, I would have no criticism. It is WRONG to make this into a humorous post. And it is WRONG to laugh at images of children receiving shocks, no matter what the cause.

          CCX,

I have used these type of fences to keep my dogs in certain boundaries on our farm. They do not harm anyone, it just creates a mild little shock, less painful than a bee sting.

As a parent, if my child was doing what this boy did, I would say that he go off easy. I do not want my children to think it is okay to behave that way. It is fine to disagree with someone’s opinion, it is no proper to steal because I disagree with a sign in the yard.

Part of the problem we have is that some parents are forgetting that children need guidance and discipline. While I do not like corporal punishment, I do think natural, immediate consequences are the best teacher.

To me, this video represents a problem our country has in parenting. Children learn from watching us and from the structure and guidance we provide them. Many children have absentee parents physically, emotionally and/or intellectually.

IMO, the outrage you keep expressing about this video needs to be directed toward the parent of that boy.

          • Concerned Citizen X

Really? I’m not criticizing people pointing out problems with the kid’s parent who is obviously letting his bias affect his kid in a crazy way. I’m criticizing people laughing at a video of a child receiving an electric shock. That’s sick and out of touch.

            • Leisa

We all have a variable sense of humor. You know those gag pens that your obnoxious coworkers loan you and you get shocked when you try to use it?

I find that funny and so do many others. You apparently would not.

The child was not harmed, unfortunately, the response of his parents kept him for learning a valuable lesson.

        • pm317

The guy who put that fence didn’t know who the perpetrator was.

    • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

what the hell do you think electric fences are, that surround every farm in america? we used to get shocked by them all the time as kids, when we tried to pass under them.

it feels like when someone touches you that has been rubbing their feet on the carpet.

save the faux outrage. the kid shouldn’t trespass, or steal.

this is why we have so many violent kid crimes these days. no one friggin disciplines anymore.

      • Concerned Citizen X

This isn’t a farm. It’s obvious from the video. Those of you on this post defending the poster who is making fun of a 9-year-old getting electric shock need to examine your priorities and your ethics. Apparently you don’t like me criticising something here and feel the need to justify it. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR SHOCKING A 9-YEAR OLD. Even if the homeowner didn’t realize a child might get shocked and you let him off the hook, and even if you blame the parents, YOU SHOULD NOT BE LAUGHING AT THIS. Get it? That’s my point. I’m not talking about the homeowner. I’m not talking about the parent. I’m talking about you guys making light of a 9-year old getting shocked. Even mild electric shock HAS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR USE ON A CHILD. GET IT.

        • barry bums a ciggie

so if it were an 18 year old, does that make it okay in your eyes? He doesn’t want people messing with his private property. GET IT?

          • Concerned Citizen X

That’s another question. Using it on a 9-year-old is clearly out of bounds. If you say you don’t GET THAT then I say you’re full of it.

            • Idiocracy08

then why do you keep harping on “using it on a 9 year old” like he personally went out and found the kid and made the kid touch the fence…if – as you say – you are only mad at people for laughing?

    • barry bums a ciggie

Someone TP’ed an old lady’s house down the street because of her yard signs for McCain and for our state senator. If people are stupid enough to go and try to steal an item or trash someone’s private property then they get what they get. My kids don’t go knocking over Obobo’s signs in our neighborhood because I’ve been respectful of the owners’ right to have them there, and thus, so do my kids.

    • Jan

Hopefully he learned a lesson from this (the kid, not the father – he’s probably hopeless) – and a small shock is well worth it. I remember when I was 8 or 9 I stole a candy bar from a store and my mother caught me. She then marched me back to the store and made me give it back and apoligize in front of everyone – the most humiliating thing I can remember in my life. These are the life lessons that your parents should teach you to make you a decent person. Hopefully this will teach the kid something valuable, since his parents probably won’t.
P.S. – my hubby wanted to get a shock collar for our dog to stop his barking, and I made him shock himself to see how it felt first. It really isn’t that bad.

    • lisa in va

I gotta tell you, if it were my kid, that little shock would feel like ecstacy compared to the spanking he’d get.

It didn’t hurt him and he learned a very valuable lesson. Don’t touch something that doesn’t belong to you.

    • Jillie

      oh pulease.

this child is certainly old enough to realize that he is going on someone else’s property and taking something not belonging to him..even a 5 year old knows when he is stealing.

The guy who put a “hot” sign in his yard, even though it is his property, could probably be sued for damages by the child’s parents. Reminds me of the woman who bought a new motor home that had cruise control. She drove it onto an interstate, got up to speed, set the cruise control then went back to the galley to make herself a sandwich…

the motor home ran off the road and was totalled…the flake owner actually sued the maker of the motor home for “failure to warn” and get this…

It depends on the laws in the state. If the guy put up a warning sign, I think its totally legal.

What a bold move for such a small child. Where does this kid learn that it’s OK to steal? Shock value – lesson learned?

The problem with that kid is his father. I can just see the brat running home to mommy and daddy screaming “I’M HURT! No doubt it’s the fault of someone else. It always is with this crowd of losers.

  • Diana

That’s disgusting that parents are getting their children to commit criminal acts. What do they think that is teaching the child?

Since this it the OT thread I wanted to post something. Everyone at my husband job yesterday got this on their desks. It’s a breakdown of how the taxes will go and it says by Obama letting Bush’s tax cuts go even those making under 20,000 a year will get an increased tax hike. Twenty thousand. It has a chart that does the roll back.

Those implausible promises made me look at what I’d been paying befoe President Bush’s 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, as well as what I paid after those tax cuts became law. I choose the 2000 tax table as my baseline–they reflect the tax rates that Senator Obama will restore by letting the Bush Tax Cuts lapse. I wanted to see what that meant for my tax bill.

The first loophole is easy to find. Senator Obama doesn’t count allowing the Bush tax cuts to lapse as a tax increase. My federal tax will increase 3,824.

For a married family filing jointly and earning 75,000 the increase is 3,074. For those making 50,000 the increase will be 1,512. For those making 25,000 a year the increase will be 715 more than in 2007 in 2010.

Check this for yourself. Go to http://www.irs.gov/formpubs pull up the 1040 instuctions for 2000 and 2007 and go to the tax tables. Based on what you made in 2007 and check your taxable income for both years. In 2000 you paid more taxes than in 2007. Which Obama has said he will let lapse.

The next loophole is payroll taxes. Senator Obama wants to lift the cap meaning you will pay an additional 12.4 % to Social Security.

The third loophole is captital gains taxes. Says he’s aiming at fat cats that make over 250,000. Only 1% make over that amount. However, there are 50% of Americans that own stock.

Loophole 4. Obama promised to raise taxes on businesses and oil companies. Bussinesses don’t pay taxes they pass it on to consumers. They collect taxes from consumers and pass those on to the government. When a companies taxes go up they build this price into the product.

This isn’t a word for word, it was 5 pages long and put together by several people, but it goes into charts, etc. Anyway I thought it was interesting so I passed it on.

    • Diana

Crap! I’m sorry about that. I just realized I didn’t include the author. The 4 Tax increase/loopholes was written by Ned Barnett. I don’t know who did the breakdowns, or the charts there are no names.

      Thanks for this.

I guess he’s promising a tax cut for everybody because he intends a tax hike for everybody. Then he’ll cut you a check and give you back 1/3 of the increase and he’ll keep the other 2/3. Ya know, just so we can keep things fair.

Dear Leader has removed 3 journalists that work for newspapers that have endorsed Mccain.

Behold, our glorious path to the new age is upon us….

    -=sigh=-

Journalists from three major newspapers that endorsed John McCain — the Washington Times, the New York Post and the Dallas Morning News — have been booted from Barack Obama’s campaign plane for the final leg of the presidential race.

The Washington Times reported Friday that it was notified of the Obama campaign’s decision Thursday evening — even though the paper has covered Obama from the start.

Executive Editor John Solomon told FOXNews.com that the Obama campaign said it didn’t have enough seats on the plane, but “I don’t think the explanation makes sense to us.”

“We’ve been traveling since 2007 with him. … We’re a relevant newspaper — every day we break news,” Solomon said. “And to suddenly be kicked off the plane for people who haven’t covered it as aggressively or thoroughly as we are … it sort of feels unfair.”

He said the newspaper protested but was turned down again by the campaign.

“I can only hope that the candidate who describes himself as wanting to unite the nation doesn’t have some sort of litmus test for who he decides gets to cover the campaign,” Solomon said, noting that the Obama campaign’s decision came just two days after the paper endorsed McCain.

According to the Web site The Drudge Report, the three newspapers’ reporters were told to find alternative transportation by Sunday so that the plane could accommodate “network bigwigs” and reporters from two black magazines, Essence and Jet.

Also joining up with the Obama campaign are the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times. According to the campaign, the decision to shuffle around reporters was made because they did not want to add a second plane.

With almost a billion dollars to spend the campaign thought it prudent to hold back on another plane…. and if you want to cover Dear Leader’s election night event you need to shell out a few grand…

gee, do you think Dear Leader has a Chicago accountant?

  • Disgusted

    You people make me sick.

A kid steals a sign. So what? They’re cheap as free. So you go ahead and electrocute the kid? And then take glee in it. Sick.
So what kid did was wrong, no one disagrees. But to see a bunch of adults so happy that kid got shocked is really just pathetic. And to suggest the father would do it? Honestly. How many people do you know who care that much? I happen to know plenty of kids who have no qualms in picking out signs. Happened to us all the time when we were supporting democrats.

Just sad, people. Y’all need to get something to do.

    • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

Oh for pete’s sake. GROW UP!

The kid was not “ELECTROCUTED.” The kid was not even harmed! He pulled his hand back and left. BIG FREAKIN’ DEAL!

The kid probably hurts himself more on the playground.

I bet you are one of those psycho parents who leashes their kids.

    • Soldier of Christ

Let the kid get a taste of stealing. The next thing he will be stealing your car- next stealing at the nearest drug store and then the big times. If it was a good mother he would get a slap on his hands and be taught that “thy shalt not steal” is a biblic law and should be respected. If he doesn’t listen – then shoot him up with electricity- that should do the trick- he will now probably end up a doctor or a fireman and not a thief!

    • Not That One

As the parent of 2 kids I would be APPALLED if one of them dared to damage someone else’s property, let alone tried to TAKE it. How on earth can you condone this?

      • Disgusted

“So what kid did was wrong, no one disagrees”

        I recall writing that.

I’d appreciate if everyone else took this as a reply to their comment on mine, seeing as rewriting over and over would be pointless.

I do not condone the action. Nor do I take offense that the kid got shocked (ps, sorry bout the electrocuted bit, my bad). I just read the comments here and they were really happy that this kid got shocked.
Not happy like “oh this kid got taught a lesson”. More like “Haha, sweet.” (Oh and for all of you about to take that line apart, tone means more than the words used.)
        And thats just sad.

And for you people, there are many more things in the world to whine about, other than hilary getting shafted in the primaries.

Does that mean it cant be a reasonable point? No.

            Good fucking grief.

    • TJ

I wonder if you are a parent? I can say for myself that if my child was out stealing signs from someones yard I would not cover for them. My child would be grounded for life if they ever did such a thing.
I do not feel sorry for this child or his family. If the father went strait up the the mans house then it would seem to me that he is in on it.

As fir the signs being cheap… That is not the issue here. Someone is still paying for this and there are too many of you who dont have any repect for anothers property.
It is not that a bunch of adults are happy about this, but that we think maybe he got what he deserved. There are too many young people commiting crimes and getting by with it. It is a mentality that has gone to the extreme that it is ok to go out and vandalize and steal. Dont worry nothing will happen to you.

    • Diana

You know how many times I’ve been shocked by those dog fences? Trust me it is toooo many to count. It isn’t even really a shock. It’s more of a shock that you actually touched it. I think they’re only 7 to 15 volts. It sends a tingly feeling up your arm and you go what the heck was that! It hurts more when someone rubs their socks on the ground then comes up and shocks you. I had a crazy dog that would eat my wooden fence to get out. We installed one of these after he got hit by the LA Times truck at 3 in the morning. Ours was 15 volts. I was constantly getting shocked trying to keep him from pulling them out of the ground. Picking them back up to shove them back in the ground because I’d forget to turn it off before doing so after the 1,000th time. After about three times he figured out it wasn’t really going to hurt him so he’d go around the yard tearing them out, back to chewing up the fence. I ended up having to give him to a friend that had a large farm.

    • jrterrier

the kid wasn’t electrocuted. he walked away fine but having learned a lesson. i am certain that kid did not wake up thinking that he should go around to people’s homes and switch out or vandalize political signs. he got that idea from someone — his parents, his school, somewhere.

NO one is saying that a person can electrocute another one for this, but it sure is okay to scare the kid straight.

Hollywood is toast in my mind as are many papers and magazines. Reporters, well one I’ll keep, Sean Hannity. Supporter of Obama think they are in for a free ride. Boy how stupid can a person get.

  • HowStuffWorks

Invisible dog fences don’t work this way. I’ve repaired my line a dozen times, and you DO NOT GET SHOCKED, IDJITS.

For this to be a real video, it would have to involve an ELECTRIC FENCE — and you absolutely cannot use an electric fence on your property without clear warning signs. Electric fences are primarily marketed for farm use, are more expensive than invisible fences, and work by entirely different means.

This video is staged, and I’m frankly surprised that nobody else has pointed out the impossibility of what it suggests (getting shocked by an invisible fence).

Invisible fences don’t shock the dog with the current in the wire — they do so with the special collar. So unless the owner of this sign managed to convince the stupid kid to WEAR AN ELECTRONIC DOG COLLAR, the kid didn’t get shocked. Period.

But, I’m *sure* it never occurred to anyone that some unscrupulous parent would STAGE something like this, eh?

When did Americans get so gullible?

Not all of them require a dog to wear a collar. We had one of these fences and no collars for any of our dogs. I know I was shocked by the stupid thing over and over.

  • CogDis

Not sure I would believe this story at all.

If this was an “invisible fence” set-up as used for dogs then it is IMPOSSIBLE! The (usually) buried wire around the property in an “invisible fence” does not shock. The dog wears a collar that receives a signal when the dog approaches the wire. The dog usually first hears a warning “beep” and then a shock if he does not get out of the zone. Unless this kid was wearing an invisible fence collar, then there is no way he could have recieved a shock.

However, if it was just an old-school electric fence (as used mostly for livestock or keeping animals out of gardens), then it could have been set up.

But, I honestly doubt the story. (BTW, my Obama sign was stolen from my yard – I replaced it. Did not even consider stealing/destroying any of my neighbor’s McCain signs).

    The point is this.

The sign was on private property.
The sign was not the kids

He trespassed onto the owners property to take what was NOT his.

Liberals would like for you to believe that it was the owners fault the kid got his hand slapped.

What about the parent not teaching the kid, that it’s ILLEGAL to steal, or that the parent could be held liable to the actions of his underage son.

it doesn’t take a village, it takes a responsible parent to teach their kids, common respect for other people’s property.

This is the socialist agenda of the left, blame the homeowner for protecting HIS property.

When this kid is 16 and starts stealing cars, then what, someone left the car out and he just he took it.

I’ve also no doubt the little sadist who electrified his sign checked his state laws on setting traps – to protect his giggling azz.

    • streetparade

Yes, it’s NOT the fault of the thief. It’s the fault of the person who left their car unlocked – if their car gets stolen. And if the owner of the car should catch the thief and stop him, the thief can sue the owner for any injuries caused by the owner’s attempt to keep his own car. The owner is obviously guilty of not spreading the wealth around.

    • KathyNeocon

If the boy got injured, too bad. Blame his parents for teaching him vandalism.

But of course in ObamaWorld it’s the victims (i.e. the property owner) of crime who are to blame.

      • The Robot

        “booby trap
        n. a device set up to be triggered to harm or kill anyone entering the trap, such as a shotgun which will go off if a room is entered, or dynamite which will explode if the ignition key on an auto is turned. If a person sets up such a trap to protect his/her property, he/she will be liable for any injury or death even to an unwanted intruder such as a burglar. Setting a booby trap to even protect one’s property is a crime.”

Setting traps is a bad idea – as I said, things can go wrong, unintentional harm can occur. In this case, the camera would suffice – let the police handle it.

        Btw, I’m a Clinton Democrat – I despise Obama.

  • Idiocracy08

I guess no one want to read the link I put up, so here’s the story:

CHAPEL HILL – After Shawn Turschak saw two sets of McCain-Palin signs disappear from his yard within hours of being planted, he took steps to protect the latest pair.
On Monday, he ran wires from his house and hooked the signs into a power source for an electric pet fence. Then he mounted a surveillance camera in a nearby tree and wired it to a digital recorder.

Tuesday afternoon, the camera saw this: A neighbor trotting up with an Obama-Biden sign, grabbing a handful of volts as he touched a McCain-Palin sign, then fleeing at top 9-year-old boy speed.

A few minutes later, the boy’s father, Andrew Noble, was at Turschak’s door, demanding an explanation from Turschak’s 13-year-old daughter, who called her parents on the phone to say a man was yelling at her. Both families agree on one aspect of the exchange, that Noble chastised her for “electrocuting” his son, then left.
The Turschaks hurried home and received another visitor: an Orange County sheriff’s deputy.

Campaign signs are vandalized or stolen so often that many people don’t report it, and, when they do, law officers often don’t investigate.

    This time was different.

The corner of the Turschak’s yard where the signs are posted is a prominent point in the Oak Crest subdivision just south of Chapel Hill, so the homeowners association maintains it.

It’s far enough from the Turschaks’ home that it’s not obviously part of their yard, and the boy’s mother, Johanna Gisladottir, said she and many neighbors thought it was community property. They were troubled, she said, that someone had apparently claimed the corner on behalf of the Republican Party.

Her son, whom she declined to name, took the Obama sign to the corner on his own, she said, after being inspired by a discussion she had with a neighbor about adding one to the mix.

“I don’t know what his intention was when he ran out, or I would not have allowed him to leave,” Gisladottir said. “I honestly don’t think he had a concrete plan.”

Noble told an investigator that the boy had been trying to pull up the McCain sign so that he could see how it was constructed, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.

The video, Turschak said, makes clear that the boy was planning to switch the signs, which are essentially sheathes that slip over metal framework. The boy had only brought the Democratic sheath, not the legs.

Not all the thefts, Turschak said, could have been caused by a misunderstanding about the land. One sign had been beside his driveway, and a next-door neighbor lost a McCain sign, too.

Turschak, who has a degree in electrical engineering, said he tested the shock on himself while wiring the signs, and did so again while a reporter watched Wednesday, touching both signs repeatedly without flinching. Under each was a yellow sign warning that they were electrified.

Turschak , it turns out, isn’t a member of Orange County’s perennially embattled Republicans, who are outnumbered nearly 3 to 1 by Democrats. He’s registered as an unaffiliated voter and said he doesn’t agree fully with either party.

“This isn’t about politics,” he said. “This is about my right to protect my property and my ability to display my beliefs.”

Capt. James Nida of the Sheriff’s Department talked to both families Wednesday. Nida, who as a child experienced the charms of electric fences, didn’t feel the need to test Turschak’s signs.

“Been there, done that,” he said.

Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass said he doesn’t plan to file charges. The deputy who investigated Tuesday said the pet-fence setup probably was legal, Turschak said, but perhaps more trouble than it was worth. Turschak said Wednesday morning that he would pull the plug on the signs. The camera, though, stayed.

And Wednesday afternoon while the Turschaks were at a daughter’s soccer game, it captured an angry-looking woman striding up.

“We got home and both signs were gone,” he said. “Broad daylight.”

    • McHope

This is a little boy, out on a pranking mission. It’s Halloween folks, the kid’s intent to swap a neighbor’s McCain sign with an Obama one is more merrymaking fun than malicious. A lot less annoying than discovering a pranking kid has decorated one’s trees with toilet paper. Have we all lost our senses of humor in this election???

I do have to wonder about a man who not only wires his political sign to his dog fence, he has a video camera recording the sign. In a neighborhood with kids during Halloween. Was he filming the incident or was the camera operating without him? It wasn’t too long ago people had their knickers all knotted up over a state trooper who tasered his step child. What if something had gone wrong and instead of giving the kid a little shock it had seriously harmed him?

Last week in Warren, Ohio a man shot a person who was swiping his Obama sign. Have we all gone mad? What’s next, will we booby trap the signs with grenades?

If you announce your political leanings by putting signs in your yard, you have to accept pranksters and people who disagree with your political views are going to be tempted by the signs. Shocking and shooting them, to me, is going overboard in one’s zealousness for a candidate. It’s a sign that will be thrown out on November 5th or placed in the attic with all of the other memories. It’s not something to defend with force. This is an election, not war.

When I saw the video this morning of the pranking kid being pranked, it did amuse me. But I also had to wonder what this election has reduced us to when people are wiring political signs with electricity and we think it’s okay. Does the guy at the end of the block have a gun pointed at his sign?

    • Rob G in Chicago

Today is Halloween, this story was reported earlier. If the kid was trick-or-treating before today, then he is both a thief and an idiot. When you use an electrified trap like this, you, as the homeowner, assume the responsibility for whatever may go wrong. The homeowner is an electrical engineer, so I figure that he knew what he was doing. He disconnected the wire after the incident, but not the camera, and the camer caught an angry adult woman stealing his signs again. No, it would not have been amusing or acceptable if that kid had gotten hurt. I’ve seen nobody advocating that at this site. But the kid was not hurt, and all the supposition in the world doesn’t change the facts, nor does it justify your claims of moral superiority.

    • KathyNeocon

But I also had to wonder what this election has reduced us to when people are wiring political signs with electricity and we think it’s okay.

I marvel at what Obama has reduced people to—brainwashed, hostile, thug Obots who train their little brats to trespass and steal.I have no sympathy for the little monster or his parents.

    • Idiocracy08

Pranks are one thing. How is the homeowner supposed to know that a 9 year old was so political?

The parents don’t seem to think it was a prank. The mother said that he just wanted to put up an Obama sign too, and they thought that was community property (which is total bull…you know what is community property if you have a homeowner’s association). Then the dad said the boy just wanted to see how it was constructed. Please.

If people kept messing with your stuff, you’d be a little more understanding. You don’t know who was on your property, when, for how long, what else they did.

If you are a woman living alone, you’d even be more upset about it. Everyone who has had their house burgarlized says they feel violated. I’m sure that’s how the homeowner felt.

I live by frats. If you have had almost every inch of your property pissed on, your cars vanalized, and hit and runs, trash every morning in your yard; house toilet papered (cause they tp’d the frats & got our house too); firecrackers over your house; and the list goes on…
cops don’t do anything without proof…

you’d probably think of ways to deter the thugs.

  • Bugs Bunny

It was most likely an electic fence.
Man that was freakin’ great !!

That’s disgusting. And considering the fathers actions, I would say that he probably indoctrinated his son for this illegal activity.

…stealing personal property, trespassing, hello? Not a very smart man and he has the huevos to go complain to the owner for putting up a protective fence on his own property? Yep, sounds like Obama.

    O? NO!

    The Obama Doctrine:
“Get in their face. Argue with them.
Be my Ambassadors. Dust them off your shoulders.
Win at any and all costs.”

  • Kevin

This is another bogus attempt at confusing voters. Obama has consistently stated that families making under $250K will not see a tax increase. Families making under $200K (and individuals making under $100K) will see a tax decrease. The $97,500 mentioned is the same $100K line for individuals. Obama never said that people making $200K-$250K would get a reduction, simply that it would stay the same.

If your biggest concern is the theft of yard signs and a modest increase in taxes to families making >$250K (increasing taxes for all money above $250K from 36% to 39% tax rate), you are wearing blinders. This election is about far more than a few extra thousand in taxes to the wealthiest Americans.

    • http://ahillarybmccainamericafirst.com/ gerard “barracuda” Nedich

so what you are trying to say is that Dear Leader lied when he said it was $250k ?

oh dear, you better read your talking points…

      its now:
      http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/31/low-richardson-pegs-middle-class-making/

For the second time in a week, a prominent Democrat has downgraded Barack Obama’s definition of the middle class — leading Republicans to question whether he’ll stick to his promise not to raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000.

The latest hiccup in the campaign message came Friday morning on KOA-AM, when New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson pegged the middle class as those making $120,000 and under.

Click here to listen to Richardson talk about Obama’s tax plan.

“What Obama wants to do is he is basically looking at $120,000 and under among those that are in the middle class, and there is a tax cut for those,” Richardson said in the interview, according to a clip posted on YouTube.

There’s no indication that Obama has changed his tax policy, which states that anyone making under $200,000 would get a tax cut under his administration.

But the Republican National Committee quickly blasted out an e-mail saying, “At this rate, it won’t take long until Obama is again raising taxes on Americans making as little as $42,000 a year.”

“When Barack Obama comes to your door this Halloween, there will be no treats — just taxes,” the e-mail said.

Joe Biden caused headaches for the campaign Monday when he told a Scranton, Pa., TV station that Obama’s tax break “should go to middle class people — people making under $150,000 a year.”

John McCain said the tax threshold was “creeping down,” while the Obama campaign accused him of lying about Obama’s tax policies.

    Keep this moving quickly…

PBS has an online poll posted, asking if Sarah Palin

    is qualified.

Apparently the left wing knew about this

in advance and are flooding the voting with NO votes.

The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by

mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters

    in swing states.

Please do two things — takes 20 seconds.

    1) Click on link and vote YES!

    Here’s the link:

    http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html

    2) Then send this to every McCain-Palin supporter

you know, and urge them to vote and pass it on.

The last thing we need is PBS saying their viewers don’t

    think Sarah Palin is qualified.

From Glenn Beck regarding the lazy azz freak who said that Obama was going to pay for her gas and her mortgage (with OUR paychecks)….Wow…it just goes to show what losers are voting for this POS.

Glenn Beck: Coming nanny state evidence

    October 31, 2008 – 13:34 ET

    Get your free Comrade wallpaper…

GLENN: We have a ton to go through, but I want to start with a clip with — this is a piece of audio that a person who was at a campaign rally — and in fact, I think it’s the campaign rally in Florida after that 30-minute commercial, you know, where they did the live shot and the crowd in Florida, this is the result of listening to Barack Obama. Ask yourself, does this sound like someone who is at a rally who has just listened to the person who could be the next President of the United States. Listen to what this woman says.

VOICE: It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment.

    VOICE: Why?

VOICE: Because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won’t have to work on putting gas on my car, I won’t have to work on paying my mortgage. You know, if I help him, he’s going to help me.

GLENN: That is fantastic. “I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car. I’m not going to we are about my mortgage.” What country are we living in? “I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car”? “I won’t have to worry about my mortgage”? Somebody is going to have to worry about your mortgage. Somebody is. You know who it’s going to be? The people who are working hard right now and didn’t get themselves into trouble. You know what? I have to tell you, and I know that there are exceptions to this rule. So this is a very harsh statement because there are those people who did the right thing that are in trouble. But I’m talking about the vast majority of those people who are in trouble now. Trouble has not hit the average person yet. What the average person feels is something wicked this way comes. They know it’s coming. You know why? They know it’s coming because of trickle-down economics. They know trickle-down economics works. They know that the financial sector has been hit. They know that the movers and shakers have been hit. And as much as everybody wants to celebrate, “Oh, those bad people have been, you know, hit,” they know that that trickles down to them. They know that it is going to get bad. But that’s the average person. They just feel it. And they’ve also felt the effects of inflation, of inflating our money. The dollar is weaker. It is harder to make ends meet today. But they are not on the verge of losing their house, the average person. With exceptions noted, those people who are losing their house today, the vast majority are the ones who bought the stupid homes that they couldn’t afford. They are the ones that got into those stupid mortgages that they shouldn’t have. You know, I know this sounds horrible, but I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the vast majority of people who are in real problems today. You got yourself in there. You gambled and you gambled wrong. It’s like, you know, it’s like looking at people who went to Vegas and saying, “Oh, I feel really bad.” You know what, hard time, they just lost their house. They went to Vegas! Again, with exceptions noted.

Now, if we are looking to bail everybody out today, that means the average Joe, the one who hasn’t been hit by it yet, you’re bailing those people out today. Who bails you out? The rich will bail the rest of America out. But Obama is going after the rich: How can the rich retain any wealth? How can they create wealth if the tax man cometh and take away all of their wealth? The system doesn’t work. All you have to do is think about it logically. But people aren’t thinking about it logically. They are feeling it. “Oh, it was the greatest thing ever. I just feel so great. I just feel like if I support him, he will support me.” He’s not supposed to support you! He works for you! He makes sure that the roads are built. He makes sure that the infrastructure is there. He makes sure that the Navy and the army is working. That’s what he’s supposed to do. He’s not supposed to fill up your gasoline tank with gas. What, is he coming out in a little cap and a little white shirt with Obama on it? Ding, ding. “Hi, can I get you some more gas or can I clean your windshield?” That’s not what the President does.

We have entered a space now in America. I want to play this audio again. Listen to it carefully. Listen to where we’ve headed and where we’ve arrived now.

VOICE: It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment.

    VOICE: Why?

VOICE: Because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know, if I help him, he’s going to help me.

GLENN: Okay. How is he going to help you? Because it’s Halloween, let me use the Halloween analogy. It’s Halloween. Your kids are going out trick-or-treating. My kids are going to be dressed after nap tonight. I mean, they are. 3:00 this afternoon, they are getting up and they are putting on their Halloween costumes. They are all excited. I’m going to have to wait as long as I possibly can before I take them out and we go trick-or-treating. I’m not going trick-or-treating on my street because there are 15 houses with for sale signs on it. I knock on their door, they’re like, food, did you bring me a can? Actually I along with other neighbors have actually delivered candy to people’s houses. Is anybody else doing this? We know that, you know, there’s this one section of town where everybody goes trick-or-treating and so we deliver candy to those houses so those people don’t have to have — you know, they don’t have to worry about the candy. So we’re going trick-or-treating tonight. Kids are dressed. We’ve already done all the preparation. We’ve done all the planning. They’re excited. They are going to go out. They are going to go door to door. They are going to fill up their bag.

Now, imagine some kid, some teenager who’s just, I’m dressed as a teenager. You know the kind. “What?” “I’m dressed as a teenager.” Just some bum who hasn’t done anything. He just wants free stuff. If he comes up to the door and he happens to be standing at the door of, let’s say Barack Obama and you got your kids, I got my kids and then the teenager standing out, “What? What? I can’t get candy? Trick or treat.” And Barack Obama answers the door and he sees your two children and your children have bags full of candy and the teenager, he doesn’t have anything in his bag. Barack Obama wants to take the candy, he will look at the teenager, say this isn’t fair. And he will take the candy from your children. Not all of it. Just a third of it. And he will give it to the teenager who hasn’t done anything, who’s not even dressed up in a costume. May be the first house he’s gone to.

Now, would you say that that’s fair? I wouldn’t. Even if it was just another kid that was struggling and having a hard time, would you say it’s fair if somebody opened up the door and that cute little kid that was struggling and didn’t have any candy and had gone to all of the houses and just couldn’t make it, would you say it’s fair for the person to open up the door, take the candy, one third out of your child, one third out of the child next to them and give it to that kid? Would you think that’s fair? Of course not. Would you think it’s fair if there were three kids, all of them did their best, all of them deserve to be there, all of them were out but one had worked a little extra harder and had been out a little bit longer and they had a little bit more candy than everybody else, but they had earned it. They weren’t going in to every single place, and they were just gouging themselves on candy. They just went longer and went to more houses, worked harder for it. Would you think it’s fair if somebody opened up the door and said, here, you’ve got too much candy; give me some of that; I’m going to give it to the other kids. As a parent standing there at the steps of the door, of the porch, you know you would say, “Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?” And you would never accept someone saying, “I’m just being fair.” “No, you’re not. You’re stealing that candy from my kid. My kid earned it. You don’t give it to the other kids. You want to give the other kids candy? You give it to them yourself. You don’t take it from my kid.” That’s what would happen.

Now, if it was a poor kid standing there and he really worked hard but he didn’t have any candy, as a parent what would you do? As a parent you’d get to the end of the street and you would look at your son or your daughter and say, “You know what? You have enough candy. I’m going to let you make the decision but don’t you think it would be good, don’t you think it would be nice? Imagine how good it will feel for you and for them if you went over and gave them some of your candy. They’ve worked really hard.” I wouldn’t do that at the end of the street with a teenager but I would for the cute little kid that really worked hard and didn’t have any, and I wouldn’t force my children to do it. I would strongly recommend it. I would do everything I could to convince them that that’s the right thing to do, but I would not force them to do it because that’s their candy. That is America. That’s the way it should be done. But somehow or another we’ve become this country where you expect somebody to open up the door and take your candy away and give it to somebody else. It doesn’t make any sense. That’s called communism. That’s called socialism.

In Barack’s ‘hood they shoot people for being on someone else’s turf, so a little jolt is nothing. The kid is still alive, wait until BO is Pres.

Folks, all of this raging back and forth over the rectitude of shocking a 9 year old who was evidently trying to vandalize a sign is very counter-productive at this time when we should be focussed on the election Tuesday. If you think it is okay to shock a 9 year old, maybe you would also think that Sarah’s ex-brother-in-law was justified in tazing her 10 year old nephew. Sure, the electric-shock setup used by this person was non-lethal, but what’s to stop someone else from rigging up something that sends house current through the 9 year old “criminal”? Come on, the election is only a few days away: we shouldn’t be at each other’s throats over this. The Obama camp would love it. Bad choice for a topic! IMHO, it’s not funny and it’s a waste of time.

Tonight is Halloween when many little kids in costumes will be running across lawns and touching everything in sight. If anyone still has electric current hooked up to signs, I would hope they would disconnect it now.

    • John House

The problem with all of this “Waaaaaaaah, it’s SO bad to shock a 9 year old!” crap is that the fence wasn’t there for the specific purpose of shocking children. It was there to deter criminal activity, and the criminal in this case HAPPENS to be a child. It is not fucking rocket science to understand this.
