“Hu-Oh, Ohio!” – OPEN THREAD

WOW. Did you catch that the woman in question work(ed) for a Democrat in NEW YORK?

Okay, the DNC really needs to take that “D” off of its name after this year and its involvement with Obama, ACORN, Project Vote, and Vote From Home. Seriously.

Once again, should you encounter any shenanigans while trying to vote, McCain/Palin have set up a HOTLINE number for you to call: 866-976-VOTE. ALL people should have the right to vote in a manner that is fair, free, without fear of intimidation or threats of violence, or have the vote offset by fraudulent votes. Our votes MUST COUNT.

  • Bob

You all have to see this website. This Democratic/liberal psychic who has the reputation of being one of the best psychics in the world asks the world to pray to prevent Obama from being elected…she sees disasters.

    http://www.new-visions.com/the-2008-election-results-or-are-they.html

    • Buck O’Fama

Bob, I’m not trying to be a wise guy here, but you don’t have to be psychic to see disasters in our future if Obama is elected president. Even Joe Biden saw this and he said so in public a couple of weeks ago. You know Obama will be a disaster, I know it, Joe Biden knows it, the psychic knows it, even my dog knows it.

      • Peggy Sue

“You know Obama will be a disaster, I know it, Joe Biden knows it, the psychic knows it, even my dog knows it.”

You made me laugh, Buck O’Fama. And that’s saying something in this election cycle!

        • Leslie

If Obama didn’t know his Auntie was here illegally, who told her that she was not allowed to speak to any press until after the election?

She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”

I saw one part that someone else I know, a really smart guy, said a few days ago, and Elizabeth, the psychic just reitterated the same thing:

“Nostradamus describes Barack best when he predicted that the Anti-Christ would be a Muslim born out of Africa.

How can one change the winds of Destiny or Fate? Through the power of Prayer and Group Prayer.”

Now, I am not trying to get all late night hokey-dokey on anyone, but I fell asleep early tonight, and after a few hours, I awoke and wanted to come on to NQ, I thought there would be something posted that I would need to see.
What I found in the first post to the first thread, was this link, and this message.
I do feel compelled to pray as often as possible, and not just alone, but with others, too, for God to strengthen Sen. McCain, and to reveal the many lies surrounding Barack Obama.
I pray that God will look favorably upon us, and that we Americans will see the truth and know that there is but one true God, and that voting for a man who believes himself to be the Messiah, is beyond bad judgement, it is dangerous, and a sin of great magnitude, it is an abomination of God. If we allow it, we are guilty of that same abomination and we will, as a country, be punished.
I don’t know why I felt compelled to share this thought with you all, it puts me at risk of sounding like a street corner prophet, and believe me, I am not…but something has been moving in me spiritually for the past two years. I believe the last few months I have been driven to seek the truth out about Obama, and at times, I have felt obsessed by it, which has not been a good thing. I don’t want to spend all my free time on the internet doing research and blogging, and yet, I can’t do much of anything else.
I was half tempted to call a woman in Hagerstown, MD, who is a psychic, very well known to thousands of people through word of mouth, so great was the knowledge of Betty’s psychic ability, people for years, would camp outside her home each night and sleep in their cars so that they could form a line the next morning and speak to her. She would see 20-30 people a day. Betty is old now, and has suffered from health problems which caused her to retire this year. I wanted to call her regardless, and ask her what she thinks will happen, and is Obama worse than what we know. I have not, however, called her, because even though I believe she has been gifted, by God, with true prophecy, I know God wants us to not seek the truth from other humans, but go to Him and trust that He will reveal His plan to us. I have been doing just that, but not with the intensity with which I feel compelled to seek today.
My husband wants to walk through the neighborhood today and talk to our friends and neighbors about Obama, but I just want to go to Church and gather with others in prayer. I know that every prayerful Church in this great nation will be gathering together to do just that this morning. Some Churches feel so strongly moved by this sense of urgency among their people, that they will be doing vigil’s and holding night services tonight, as well as tomorrow night.
You do not have to be a Christian to go to a Church in your neighborhood and slip in and join other people around you, solely for the purpose of prayer. Do not speak to anyone if it is not your thing to join in with organized religion; I can relate, it wasn’t always my thing either, but prayer has always been my lifeline, even when religion and church were not.
Times of trouble, and being faced with a great decision, bring me to my knees, and when I feel not strong enough to find the right words on my own. it has led me to seek others to pray with me.
I believe if enough of us join together, and pray for God’s will to be done, and then pray for full disclosure to be made to us, and for the protection of not only the candidates, but the American voters, from any vulnerability by preoccupation with this problem, to harm from an enemy who might see us as an unsuspecting target.
We must pray once more for God to Bless America, because we can never allow a Peresident to be elected who would join in prayer with a Pastor who wishes God to Damn America.
Sorry for the long, rambling post, but I feel like many of us have a need right now to ramble, and if you do it here in the next few days, I promise to read it and to try to not be critical of other viewpoints. My favorite Minister, Pastor Ken Adams, of the Crossroads Church in Newnan, Georgia, once said something prophetic to us, his congregation. He asked us if we ever noticed, in times of trouble, how people will say “well, I guess all there is left that we can do now is pray.” He went on to say that [that was the flaw in our thinking, because WE, on our own, apart from God, can do nothing. Instead of making prayer our last line of defense, it ought to be our first line of defense!]
Smart words from a brilliant man. Thanks, Ken.

Let’s do this. Let’s pray first, and then Let’s vote.

I believe John McCain will be our next President. However, I am just not sure this will be confirmed on November 4. Because even if he appears to lose the election, I am convinced Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen as required under the U.S. Constitution. Legal challenges to his eligibility will continue after Tuesday. (Some of these were only dismissed because the issue wasn’t “ripe”; that is, he wasn’t yet elected President. Now, they can be refiled.) And, when a court of law orders him to produce all relevant documentation – passports, birth certificates, adoption records – he will be found ineligible. Failing to produce such documentation, he will be found to be in contempt of court. Bottom line, once the court determines he is ineligible for POTUS, even if he appeared to ‘win’ the election, John McCain will be declared the winner.

    • Sarracuda

I hope your right, I to believe that Obama was born in Kenya, there is even an audio with his grandmother in Kenya saying she witnessed his birth in Kenya. Now lets say Obama wins, and he is proven to be illegible to be President, doesn’t Biden or even worse Pelosi become President, or would we have new elections? I don’t think there will be a clear winner on Tuesday anyway because of the massive voter fraud, THANKS A LOT ACORN!! I called the GOP last week and they said they would contest every single battleground state lost because of the voter fraud, so even if Obama wins lets say Virginia, all the voter fraud that we know of, McCain will NEVER concede the election, I don’t want to live under communist rule, I respect John McCain, Barack Obama scares the holy hell outta me

      • Touchet

I think they would have another election. Because the election would have been fraudulent.

      • johninca

In a contested election, the Congress decides which slate of electors it will accept as valid for each state. That is what might have happened in 2000, had not the Supreme Court intervened.

A Democratic Congress and Senate can put the fix in for Obama, and also deprive us of the constitutional remedy of impeachment. This is why I am disappointed with naive Democrats who acknowledge the corruption of the DNC and Obama, but insist on voting for downticket dems.

      • http://firefox McAnnie Baracuda

I agree. I think Ohio and Florida may be contested. The Republicans don’t fold as easily as the Dems. Of course the thugs will be more aggressive than Gore and Kerry.

    • Benjamin

I don’t have the link to the exact post, but there’s a whole slew of new lawsuits. A lot of them are in state courts; there’s one filed by a Vice Presidential candidate of “some” party, and they state that actual Electors are going to be filing suits on Monday.

There’s still a chance those could be thrown out for lack of standing, but who knows. The law really changes after the Defendant has been elected. There just doesn’t seem to be any mechanism to police a candidate’s eligibility prior to an election.

      • C.S.

There just doesn’t seem to be any mechanism to police a candidate’s eligibility prior to an election.

We tend to get into trouble when we stray from our Constitution. The electoral system set up by the Founding Fathers did not include the political power we have allowed two parties to assume. (Two, because none of the other political parties exert such iron control over the nomination of a candidate.) Under the Constitution, no political party has standing and yet they have been given total control over the nomination process without any corresponding checks and balances so you end up with GWB and Soertoro/Obama in spite of our Constitution.

We the People and our elected representatives have allowed Democrats and Republicans to take over the presidential nominating process and, as we have just seen, the power of the parties superseded the Constitutional power of the States to regulate elections when Florida and Michigan were disenfranchised in the primaries. If the Republican and Democrtaic parties had not been allowed to set “rules” that conflicted with state legislation, we’d have a different slate of candidates and Sortoro/Obama would be just a fading memory.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive…
        Sir Walter Scott

    • John Smith

McCain is going to win this. The polls that you see is based on pollsters trying to figure things out and they are using early voting trends but it is crazy to think that these trends will keep up during the election on Nov 4th. So I don’t think there will be a court case about BO CLB. It will be a mute point after the 4th. Why will anybody care after he looses.

    • bemused

Tired as I am of the emotional ride, I tend to agree with you, jbjd. Nov. 4 may be the election but the agony will go on for at least a few days. Like the above posters, I’m doing my own praying for an unarguable blowout for McCain, but there are still too many other issues. At least someone with “standing,” as defined by Judge Surrick, filed suit. (VP candidate downthread)

  • Seattle McMoss

What do the democrats have against women..

    http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/5972

    • Peggy Sue

I’ve been asking myself this same question the whole election cycle, Seattle McMoss.

And as much as I admire Hillary Clinton, I wince everytime I see her shilling for this fraud. But she hasn’t savaged Sarah Palin. I’ll give her credit for that.

I don’t know. What is it? Particularly the venom of Dem women? Envy? The willingness to go along to get along. I’m stymied.

As far as the Democratic Party as a whole, they have shown their true colors: they talk the talk but they’re basically cripples when it comes to true gender equality. If there are only some women, the right women we can support then the margins are far too narrow for me.

A huge disappointment. Silly me, I thought the Dems were better than that.

      • http://firefox McAnnie Baracuda

…”they have shown their true colors: they talk the talk but they’re basically cripples when it comes to true gender equality.”

Well said. I feel the same way. One of my former progressive male friends (back to 1968) has continually sent me ugly articles about Sarah. He lives in Alaska and purports to know that everyone there actually hates her. I think he attracts men who hate women as much as he does. It’s been a revelation. He has never changed his politics since the 60′s. I, however, have moved in different directions since then although I continued to identify as a Dem…just more centrist. I feel as though I’ve been asleep to the lack of respect, and obvious hostility toward us. Very bizarre. I’ve stopped responding to his communiques though I will be thrilled to send one last one after a McCain/Palin win.

      • Liz B

I think McCain will clearly win. If the scenario of Bobo being declared ineligible after a hypothetical win occurred though, wouldn’t Jojo become Prez?

    • Benjamin

Not until sometime in December when all the Electors from the states go and cast their ballots – and that vote is approved by Congress.

If something happened after that – then yes Biden The Bloviator would be in.

      • Sarracuda

Oh God…Biden would be President, hmmm, then I guess we would have to figure out which is the lesser of two evils, I guess Biden would be the lesser of the evils, I don’t find him to be a bad man, he’s just an idiot, so I’d rather have an idiot in the White House then a commie. But who would be his VP?

        • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

I’d rather have an idiot than a cult-leader, that’s for sure.

        • Josephine the Plumber

I think he could choose his own VP—like Ford did after Nixon resigned.

Let’s not get too wrapped up in these hypotheticals. VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

        • http://firefox McAnnie Baracuda

I can’t remember what the process was when Spiro Agnew stepped down. Did Nixon select Ford?

    • C.S.

The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.

A part of Amendment 12 revision of Constitution. So the top three vote geters are McCain, Clinton, Obama. But is there any chance that Pelosi, as Speaker of the House would support someone other than Soertoro/Obama even if evidence existed to eliminate him? (She just stated, in answer to Sheehan’s question, that she felt Bush did nothing to be impeached for.) The only experience we’ve had with this sort of thing was the Nixon impeachment investigation so mystery man Soertoro/Obama would be responsible for a bigger “Constitutional crisis” on our hands than if we had impeached GWB.

Sorry OT – but on the west coast, I just saw SNL, it was sooooooooo funny. The best was Olbermann spoof by Afleck, he should get an emmy nomination for that! I couldn’t stop laughing. Did any one get the allusion of Miss Precious Perfect to The One?

Yeah, this SNL was great, I was laughing my ass off. It was hilarious, and ya know, I am beginning to think that Tina Fey respects Sarah, I can see it in the way she treated John today, she even smiled at him, maybe there is some hope for Tina after all. Tonight (Sat. Nov. 1) I was the Photographer at a Halloween/Birthday Party. I dressed as Sarah Palin and wore a McCain sticker from when Sarah was here in Omaha. Since the sticker was obviously printed before Palin was chosen, I added a sticker that said, “And Me”. One of the guests told me he loved me. I told him I liked Sarah, too. Later, another Sarah Palin arrived. I took her picture and she made it a point to show me her back which had a sign that had a list starting with $100.000 for shooting a moose, $1,500 for a rape kit, after that I didn’t read the rest and told her that it wasn’t very nice and didn’t take a picture of her back. Later when she finally realized that I was also dressed as Sarah, she asked if I was voting for Obama. I said, “If there is one thing that GWB has taught me is that anyone who would cheat their way into power would absolutely abuse it”. She asked if I had been a Hillary supporter. Because of her accusing tone, I informed her I initially supported Kucinich, that I was a Liberal and had lived in Amsterdam for 15 years. To that she said I was too smart to vote for McCain. I asked her why she thought I was smart. She said she could tell. I said, “I speak 6 languages so I guess I qualify as smart” and asked her if she knew about the caucus fraud. She seemed to know what I was talking about, but started to go into Obamabot mode and I told her I needed to get back to work taking pictures (of the OTHER guests). She didn’t want to let me go and pressed about my vote. Because I was at work and shouldn’t discuss these matters on the job, I lied and told her I was voting for Cynthia McKinney (Green Party). She went on about wasted votes. I told her I would not condone criminal activity and therefore could not support BO and left her to take pictures of others.
Can I just say that I understand why we shouldn’t raise taxes on the middle and upper-middle class, but that I think taxing the WEALTHY more is totally acceptable!!!! I mean, I work a lot of parties here in Omaha. Omaha has (at the last report I saw) the 8th highest amount of millionaires per capita in the nation (thx to Warren Buffet). These people spend A LOT of money on parties!!!. I got a $100 tip (first tip I’ve had as a Photographer and when I was a waitress many years ago, the going rate was only 10%) and was obviously thrilled with that amount for a 3 hour shoot. But, for f^ck sake, if people have enough expendable income to spend the money they do on parties, they really should be giving back more to the country that gives them the opportunities they have. Call me a socialist or communist if you want, but the extravagances of these parties make me sick!!!!

    • randall the computer guy

just out of curiosity, but how do you know they don’t give back? I live in Austin, Michael Dell lives here as well as a few other celebs/millionaires. Dell built a children’s hospital, pumped millions of dollars into Round Rock, gave them a minor league baseball team as well. I see succcessful people here “giving back” all the time through charity work and events, through creating jobs, wouldn’t them giving you a job with a decent salary be almost like them “giving back” for example? Maybe they do have crazy parties or hugemongous houses or whatever, but they EARNED that, they WORKED for it, Dell started out of his dorm while going to UT and built a bllion dollar company out of it, so if they want to enjoy their success I don’t see what the big deal, the problem is a lot of these works by successful people are never publicized or reported, so all we see is the crazy extravagant spending and we hardly ever see the other side.

      • BlueTopaz

Well, they are getting tax breaks for that charity are they not? By your standards, maybe we should just exempt them from paying taxes all together. Then they could pay someone to follow them around barking like a dog (Madonna) to create jobs. Maybe none of us should pay taxes. Then we would need someone to decide whose charity would pay for roads, whose charity would pay for fire and police departments, who should pay for parks and museums. Don’t “ass u me” all wealthy people give to charity. Many wealthy people use loopholes and offshore “investments” to avoid paying taxes. “Only the little people pay taxes”, Leona Helmsley (who left her fortune to her DOG, BTW!!!) Wealthy people don’t earn their money the same way we do. The current set up favors the “haves” so why can’t they give more back. Warren Buffet does not agree with the fact that his secretary pays a higher % of taxes than he does. Yes, I know he now supports Oblahma, but he supported Hillary, too. Like Hillary, he is a Dem. and is suppporting the Dem. nominee. I don’t think wealthy people need your sympathy, but that’s your call. I think wealthy people should pay a higher percentage on their “overage” income. Once you’re in the 7 figure catagory, you’re cup runneth over. They wouldn’t be paying a higher % on all of their income, just the over the top amount. Sympathize with the wealthy if you want, I sympathize with the needy. Don’t expect that all of the wealthy give to the US without being forced by the state. How many US millionaires gave money to Russia for space tourism? Exactly how did that create jobs in America?

        • Chris

You are crazy if you think you would earn one penny if their weren’t rich people willing to spend their money. Americans strive to better themselves thru hard work so they can be the providers of businesses and jobs that make the economy grow. Are there excesses at times, yes. Are there some unethical rich people yes–like Obama. Do you appreciate that Obama has spent 700,000 million dollars on a campaign for the WH? Does he really have an ethical idea in his selfish, power grabbing head? No. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you and all of us, so that we can strive to be more wealthy if we want to work hard and then help others achieve the same. Do you want your kids to have to always be at the bottom with no chance to move up? Get your realities straight please.

In a way, you proved my point. Wasn’t Wright’s church the only recipient of BO & MO’s charity last year. Charity dollars that were tax deductable?
You aren’t very bright are you? You think BO is my dear leader? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! I can’t wait to tell my friends who actually do follow the freak. Hahahahahahahaha. Good one. You’re not too bright, but good for a laugh.

i understand your point of view, but the flip side of the coin is, they spend alot of money on these parties. if they had 30 workers at that party and they all got a 100 dollar tip like youtself, thats 3000 back in the system that will help spur the economy, not including the workers actual pay. that money might go for paying for food, utilities, or even a toy for an underprivaleged child. or some might donate that 100 bucks to charity, ITS ALL GOOD. let the elitist throw a party every night of the week because the alternative with barry is too great a risk to takr, IMHO.

      • BlueTopaz

Thank you for not being insulting.
My point was about the wealthy, not the rich. I agree about the money spread though these parties. I’m very happy they have them, and I had a great time last night. Very nice people and they invited me to enjoy myself after I was done taking pictures.
After living in Europe for many years, I’ve seen the difference in pay scales and benefits. The minimum wage is much higher in Holland and the health care is much better. Having to rely on a mind-numbing job (not my photog job, my other job)for insurance does not promote entrepreneurship. If I had stayed in Amsterdam, my life would be so much better and I’d probably be my own boss by now.
My complaint is about the uber-wealthy misers like Leona Helmsley as well as those who have so much extra income they give Russia $25 million to travel in space.
If my new product makes me uber-wealthy, I won’t mind paying a higher percentage on the “overage”. To whom much is given, much is expected.

The ELECTORS elect the President, not our popular vote.
    Read the constitution.

Under a Republican Congress, Ohio’s electors could have been challenged and its electoral votes given to McCain. But millions of my fellow Americans decided to put the Congress under Reid-Pelosi two years ago.

Those of you who voted for Reid and Pelosi’s leadership in 2006– how do you like ‘em now?

    • johninca

I’m not a Republican, btw– just someone praying devoutly for defeat of the Luciferian Democratic party.

I’m so hurt, I cannot believe how my old party the Dem’s are acting, violent smears of Palin, saying nasty things and acting so arrogant as if the election is over,I’m shocked..such mean cruel hate to Republicans. One thing this election has done is turned this life long Dem into a Rep.I will never vote Dem ever again :(

i wonder how the MSM feels that these two young ladies are doing a far superior job than they are?

Good reminders for people to watch out for shifty tricksters!

  • TampaVoter

i love the young ladies from Palestra… bright, talented and mighty fine.

Gallup was wrong about EVERYTHING in 2004, especially with the 4 biggest toss-up states. They Predicted Kerry would win Florida by 3 (he lost by 3) and that Kerry would win Ohio by 4 (he lost by 2)

Gallup predicted Bush would win Pennsylvania by 4 (he lost by 2)and Wisconsin by 8 (he lost by 1).

So in these 4 states, Gallup was off by 6%, 6%, 6%, and 7%. Ironically, Gallup actually accurately predicted the Bush total victory fairly closely, but they achieved their results through obviously faulty polling data, making their correct result more luck than crack-shot polling work. Additionally, Gallup would have been fairly close in predicting the final electoral total, but by total accident as Bush won the states they thought Kerry would win and vice versa.

I’ve also noticed Gallup isn’t releasing state polls in 2008 as they had in 2004. They were partnered with CNN last election, but CNN seems to have dumped them after their shoddy work last time, and are now using Opinion Research Corp.

But Obama is trying to cheat. What was it Stalin said? That it’s not important who votes – it’s important who counts the votes?

  • Diana

Oh my gosh! Too cute! Here’s something to smile about which we so need. 3 year old Sarah Palin.

Holy shit. How do you find all these creeps? Put Obama in prison!

    • A-Rothschild-Victim

Agreed. Black people belong in prison. Ashley Todd is a heroine.

[Administrator: This is what twisted Obama supporters do to entertain themselves -- try to portray our blog as racist. We have too many eyes here for you to get away with this. Take your foul mind elsewhere.]

Truly, nobody cares what you think.

I don’t make up stuff. It’s on the news.

It won’t strike most people as being “fine,” I can guarantee you.
