Guess he didn’t think it was that good. And if you did — whyever would you have betrayed him and Hillary to vote for Obama.

I know they aren’t perfect, but I never had any doubts about whether or not they would actually work to help American people, I know without a doubt that they actually do love this country, and I know without a doubt that they are the TRUE DEMOCRATS

I see the cronyism, old-style politics, and really a complete break from the public.

I don’t see a solid change in the Republicans, either. McCain/Palin….yes. The rest? No.

So I think the parties are at a stalemate in that respect.

Thinkers and attentive people do not support Obama.

There are some very good leaders in the democratic party right now. I wish I could say the same about the Republican party.

It will be fun to watch the Republican party re-invent inself. There will be the struggle between the Palin contingent and the traditional fiscal Republicans. Commentators on this website seem to be more in the Palin contignent. Good luck fighting for control of your party.

You will miss no opportunity to scream out every failure. I have seen this before, too.

The stock market, the economy and frankly fiscal responsiblity have all been better under democrat rule. On a per capita basis Reagan had the highest deficit in U.S. history followed by Bush. Reagan also increased taxes when the economy was weak.

The Republicans are the worst on fiscal policy. They only have one wedge issue, which is lower taxes. Taxes are a bogeyman, which really don’t make much of a difference to the economy.

I suggest if you do not want to pay taxes then go live somewhere else. And don’t use the roads, the airports, the agricultural products, etc. If we left everything in the hands of only for-profit business, this country would even be in a more sorry state. There are no true free markets and it is funny that the biggest free marketers of all, Wall Street, needs a government bail-out.

Frankly, nobody real cares about taxes. It is just a bogeyman created by the Republican party. It is just a wedge issue.

Republican economic policies have been a failure.

And to call Obama a socialist is a bunch of BS. There is absolutely no evidence that Obama or the Democrats have and will make bad decisions on the economy. They did not run the deficit up, drive the dollar down, create record trade deficits, push the stock market down, etc. etc. It has been the policies of your beloved Republcian party over the last 8 years. Bush and the Republicans have been a total economic failure and disaster. Unless you are rich, you are not better off. Your real income has shrunk, your 401K is down, and you may lose your job in the next year. Blame your Republicans for that.

Time for a change in direction.

Also, experience for the sake of experience really means nothing.

What is more important is direction.

Time to turn the page and have a fresh start. That is more important. To take a new direction. The Republican party have had their turn for the last 8 years, really longer than that if you consider they have really held most of the power for the last 30 years.

Time to give someone else a chance to run the country. This country deserves and needs a new direction.
