Dear Mr. Obama: Who Are You?

This video, this video I should have found a month ago has so elegantly put into words what I myself feel inside. It expresses that conflict felt by many Democrats and former Democrats. I am a Democrat. I have been my entire long life. I want(ed) a Democrat in the White House so we could accomplish great things.

But I cannot in good conscience give my vote for the most powerful job on Earth to someone I do not know. John McCain I know. I know we disagree on more than we agree but I know who John McCain is and most of all I trust John McCain to always do what he thinks is right, not just what may sell.

  • NewHampster

I’ll be seeing the Senator today and will tell him my reasons for voting for him are partially the above. I know him and trust him.

  • mimi

    Dear Senator 0bama,

    Who are you?

    NOBODY!

  • Andy

    NewHamspter:

Please record your exhange (if leganl and you can):

you never know what he might say off the cuff !!!

  • Tricia

    Get Video
    Who are you NOBODY!!

  • Andy

Ignore my comment above. I misread/misunderstood which senator NewHampster was meeting; thought it was Obama and was going to tell him why he was NOT voting for him… LOL

  • Andy

    NewHampster:

This video is a gem!! That’s who Obama is: Nobody.

I was moved by the end; very nice.

    Thank you for posting!!

So did you meet McCain? How was it??

  • SJ

We should all keep fighting to get people to vote for McCain, I just saw a clip from FL McCain is having a midnight rally in FL.

The crowd is waiting on his arrival now, I have to give it to the old guy he sure has stamina, he is fighting for every last vote, never heard of a midnight rally before would of thought everyone is asleep.

Go McCain you deserves this win!!!

  • bayareavoter

thanks for the video. I have hope Mac/Palin will win!

  • democracyfirst

Someone just forwarded emails to me asking about Obama’s Civilian Security Force.

It is amazing how many people are just learning about Obama now, when it is all but too late.
I have a feeling some, from the tone of the emails, already voted for Obama and are a bit shocked.

  • Mr. X

What? I didn’t see this anywhere. Is it broadcast anywhere?

  • KathyNeocon

It’s pitiful how ignorant so many Obots are about The One. All they do is lap his New Age bs crap, like that disgusting, narcissistic logo (stupid O thing with the ocean and the sun).

I saw a bumper sticker today that said “Hope” with the Obama logo as the letter O. I almost threw up all over my steering wheel. I also saw a group of clueless looking Obots with a big T-shirt stand on the side of the road selling T-shirts with Obama’s mug on them. Their eyes were glazed over and they had that Kool-Aid intoxicated look about them. Of course this is LA so you’re bound to see things like that.

  • Barry bums a ciggie

    Depends.

As Dr. Long stated today in NQ Radio Obama the brand vs. Obama the man. I say NO GO for both.

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of NQ and Planet Triskelion

You braved the koolaid infested waters and lived to tell about it!

  • http://mybluecountry.googlepages.com/whattheobamademocratsaresayingposter Linda

Wow! Excellent video. I guess the answer is, we know who Obama is and symbolism is not going to solve these many pressing issues we face. We reject his application for job he is seeking, as he is not qualified for the job he has applied.

Well said NH. I agree. Thank you.

  • http://JohnMcCain.com Galt, Master Thrall of NQ and Planet Triskelion

Andy its OK you got a contact high from being next to the trolls tonight. That koolaiod odor is intoxicating leeching out their pours!

Have you voted on these polls?
    How many pumas???

People Want To Know About P.U.M.A. And Obama Associates-Polls

    Posted on October 31, 2008

I keep seeing post about P.U.M.A. and the one question that everyone has is how many people are in the P.U.M.A. Party? Will was on Greta the other night and she even ask. Will told her that it could be as many as 4 million people because according to the polls 20% of Hillary voters are not voting Obama.
I know not all P.U.M.A.’s will come here to vote but I thought I would put up a poll and see how many people we could find on line over the next few days.
There is another thing I keep hearing on television that makes me a bit angry. I keep hearing that Obama’s associates don’t make any difference to the voters. Well is that right? They matter to me, how about you?

Please pass the word around about these polls so we might get some Idea how many P.U.M.A. are on line and how people feel about Obama’s associates. Thanks for helping out

BO used the African American Community.

He is a symbol of how You can divide this country with race because of its history.
How You make Yourself invincible by using race.

  • KathyNeocon

Wow–that’s a great poll. Asking all the right questions.

  • KathyNeocon

LOL Galt!! I thought about swerving a little to the right and taking out their t-shirt stand, but I resisted the tempation. ;)

Did you see the logo of the Weathermen? I forget which blog it’s on, maybe pumapac. anyway, the Obama logo looks like the Weatherman logo except the WM have a thunderbolt going thru the O shape. Creepy! By the way why does he have a logo? Whats wrong with the American Flag.

GALLUP FINAL POLL O by 11%

    Party Breakdown is
    10% + for Dems

Final Presidential Estimate: Obama 55%, McCain 44%—

Democratic Advantage in Party Identification Difficult to Overcome

Obama was able to match McCain in maintaining party loyalty toward his candidacy: 91% of Democrats say they will vote for Obama, the same as the 91% of Republicans voting for McCain.

In the final poll, 38% of U.S. adults identified as Democrats,
    34% as independents
    and 26% as Republicans.
Among likely voters, the figures are 39%, 31% and 29%, respectively.
    http://www.gallup.com/poll/111703/Final-Presidential-Estimate-Obama-55-McCain-44.aspx

  • McPalin Hill

greenfun — They polled Hillary Democrats about a month ago. The numbers have not changed since early June when 42% of Hillary Dems said they will not vote for Obama. Obama cannot get these people back so he has tried to ignore them or say they have come on board to support him. We are talking about 7 Million Democrats here. I am hearing that Obama only has the support of 70% of Democrats in his quest to be President. Unless he can pull voters our of his ass — I don’t see how he can win without the support of most of his party.

During the Convention we heard that the Democratic Party was split — WELL ITS STILL SPLIT. In addition to everything else that makes this novice a bad choice to be President — he will not sell himself to those who dislike him. He only wants to stand with people who worship him.

  • ciaofornow

but in the final poll independents preferred Obama to McCain by 48% to 43%.
    http://www.gallup.com/poll/111703/Final-Presidential-Estimate-Obama-55-McCain-44.aspx

  • Andrew

ATROCIOUS POLLING!!! 12 percent more DEMS? FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GALLUP SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF. IT IS NO LONGER CREDIBLE. MORE INDIES THAN REPUBS? FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • McPalin Hill

ciafornow–91% of Democrats support Obama? That is the biggest load of crap from a polling company who has consistantly oversampled Democrats in an effort to make Obama look inevitable.

A poll is only as good as those paying for that poll. Its obvious who’s paying for this poll. There is only a 4% difference between those identifying themselves as Dems and those identifying themselves as Republicans. However, Gallup does it again by saying that 38% Identified themselves as Dems and only 26% identified themselves as Republicans. Its 38% Dems to 34% Republicans.

  • HARP

If you believe that, I`ve got a bridge in Alaska to sell cheap.

  • John Smith

These numbers are totally bogus. There is absolutely nothing to back this up. So the republicans are gong to loose 13 million supporters from 4 years ago and about 10 million from 2 years ago. That is just nutty. I guess they bought into the hype or are trying to create the hype.

  • standard

If McCain aired this in key states, he would win hands-down.

  • McPalin Hill

Andrew — I agree. Obama is so scared that he pays for his own poll to tell us he’s inevitable. Republicans need not bother to vote. If Obama wasn’t so scared McCain was going to win he wouldn’t have changed his economic policy to follow Bill Clinton’s today.

  • John Smith

Now I understand why their numbers were way off like that. So they base their polling on polls.

  • McPalin Hill

john smith — Or Obama paid for the hype. I have been calling voters on behalf of McCain. The Republicans are desperate to vote against Obama.

  • KathyNeocon

By the way why does he have a logo? Whats wrong with the American Flag.

Exactly. His ego knows no bounds. He’d probably like to replace the flag with the Big O.

At the conventions this summer the difference between the two candidates was quite clear– McCain had a backdrop of a waving American flag probably from a laptop–simple, patriotic, relatively inexpensive. Obama, OTOH, had a multimillion dollar classical stage setting complete with Greek columns. I guess he’s Socrates now?? Perhaps Plato?

  • John Smith

Yea, God knows how much money changed hands during this campaign. They are basing their numbers on some fantasy land they live in or were paid to pretend they live in.

Surprise surprise, Chavez wants to talk to barry after Tuesday.

Chavez offers talks with “black man” in W.House
    Mon 3 Nov 2008, 0:30 GMT

CARACAS, Nov 2 (Reuters) – Anti-U.S. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez predicted on Sunday the “black man” will win the U.S. presidential race and offered to hold talks with him to improve ties between the superpower and one its biggest oil suppliers.

Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee who would be the first black U.S. president if he wins Tuesday’s election, said this year he would be open to dialogue with leaders like Chavez — a remark that was seized on by Republicans as naive.

Turns out that most people voting for Obama drive foreign imports like Subaru’s which explains their anti-American scum ass behavior.
Voters for McCain chant USA at rallies, love to fly the American flag and drive American cars.

If instead of a 10 point spread betwen Democrats and Republicans, you assume a 5 point spread,
you still have Mac in striking distance. If you assume the 3 point spread that it was in 2006 (A bad year for Republicans) the race is in the margin of error.

Maybe God dropped this coal comment into our hands because he wants us to go on for a little while longer. If we ever slip and let a Napoleon, Hitler or Obama take over, the four horsemen [probably automobiles, tanks or planes] might pull up on Pennsylvania Avenue.

OK, so I’m just going to come out and say this despite the fact that I know I’m not supposed to.

Does anyone else secretly, as I do, think it’s just INSANE that Americans look set to elect a man whose last name is one letter away from “Osama”?

I don’t mean this in any dumb rednecky “he’s a terrorist” kind of a way. What I mean is: has anyone stopped to think of the kind of psychological boost this could give the world of Islamic fundamentalism?

Their explicit goal is to dominate the world with Islam. They see the West as evil, something to be “conquered” and “converted.” They rejoice at their progress in Europe, as millions of Muslims stream into the naive social democracies of Western Europe, flood their welfare rolls, congregate in Muslim enclaves, refuse to assimilate, demand Sharia law and limits on the freedom of expression that Westerners have struggled for centuries to achieve – all the while, plotting against their hosts.

This gives them hope. Maybe Islam IS winning, they think. “It’s only a matter of time, Allah willing,” they muse. America, the Great Satan, is next on the list. The ultimate conquest.

And then, out of the mist, comes Barak Hussein Obama. A man who had a Muslim schooling. A man with a Muslim middle name. A man who has shown every sign of being the kind of leader who would do everything he could to “understand” the “plight” of Muslims. A man who has palled around with enemies of America, with terrorists, with anti-Semites and Israel haters.

A man whose last name is ONE LETTER AWAY from the name of their hero, Osama bin Laden – who committed the greatest act of terrorism on U.S. soil and who brought the country to its knees.

It’s not necessary that Americans think there’s any kind of mystical, prophetic symbolism in Obama’s name. What’s relevant is that Islamic extremists get possibly the greatest psychological boost they’ve ever had by the election of such a man to the Presidency of the United States of America.

It will embolden them. It will give them confidence. “It’s only a matter of time now,” they will think. “Our dreams will bear fruit. This is a sign from Allah. All we have to do is keep pushing. America is ours.”

It doesn’t matter how stupid YOU think this all is – what matters is that THEY will be thinking this way if Obama gets elected. But of course we’re not supposed to think like this. We’re not supposed to talk about it. It’s “racist” and “ignorant” and “bigoted” and besides, how dumb is it to judge a Presidential candidate based on his name?

This time – and for the reasons I’ve given above – I think it IS relevant.

  • billy

    Haha, Colin Powell endorsed Obama.

  • candy

I really don’t understand who they are polling. I am registered Democrat. I donated to Hillary. I know for a fact that I sent in my ballot marking McCain-Palin. Until the selected Obama I always supported the Dems. I’ve seen many people in PUMA sites and here who said they did the same. Any way, I did not dream or hallucinated that I voted McCain. I know I did. And I understand that my one little voice won’t show up in larger poll pictures as percentage. But still, by all polls and media reports, I and people like me, simply don’t exist. How can this be?

  • http://firefox McAnnie Baracuda

In the off chance he should win…
We soon will be seeing dense reporting about freedom of religion with an emphasis of how not all Muslims are terrorists. Soothe the American psyche. Don’t be afraid. Even though we live in our own communities, we love America and we’re just like you. If they manage to increase their percentages, Obama will come out of hiding and then we’ll see him for the Black Muslim he really is. Their strategy is to use our freedoms to overtake and overturn. We must not be led to the slaughter. They have an agenda and we’d better get our friends smartened up fast before he can make another run for the WH because I believe he will lose this time. He has already committed to a second run should he not make it this time. We have to make sure that doesn’t stand a chance.

  • http://firefox McAnnie Baracuda

So what? Powell turned into a hack and a tool when he went in front of the UN and became just another lying liar who lies.

    New Obama Shock Audio

Another jaw-dropping clip from the SF Chronicle/Gate “coal” interview:

Obama: “Under my plan of a Cap & Trade system ELECTRICITY RATES WOULD NECESSARILY SKYROCKET”

    http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/video.aspx?v=e46U2Gnzpr

Bankrupting Coal is one important thing.

Obama’s advocating “skyrocketing” electrical rates is another that affects everyone: every household, every business.

And it spells economic disaster for the US economy as this plan would be unilateral. Other countries would not be affected and will be much more competitive vs. the cost of US-produced goods with sky-high energy costs, artificially inflated by the extreme anti-global warming Obama Cap, Trade, & Redistribute plan.

Please listen and spread this around.

  • Sam Copeland

If John McCann had made the themes of this video the theme of his campaign, he would be head in the polls and would win the election. For the life of me, I do not understand why this was not his campaign theme.

The only additions I would make are these:

    1. On Iraq: before Obama called for withdrawal on timetables from Iraq (which was before he called for responsible withdrawal), Obama ran as a US Senator calling for a surge of forces in Iraq and stating that withdrawal on timetables would be an insult to our troops. He then picked war hawk Joe Lieberman as his Senate mentor.

    2. On the economy: During the primary he trashed Clinton economics and lumped them in with the failed policies of George W. Bush claiming that they are one and the same; Obama also called for increased federal spending in a laundry list of leftist programs. In the first part of the general election he ran as a right-winger calling for tax cuts. Now he says his economic policy is the same as Clinton’s.

Which Obama will show up at the White House? Which plan for Iraq? Which plan for the economy?

An Obama victory is the triumph of image over substance and the replacement of democratic procedure with the popularity of the American Idol TV show.
