CHARLESTON - At least one state coal industry leader said he was shocked by comments Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama made earlier this year concerning his plan to aggressively charge polluters for carbon and greenhouse gas emissions.

"What I've said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there," Obama said in a Jan. 17 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle that was made public today first on the Web site newsbusters.org, which calls itself "the leader in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias." The story later was linked on The Drudge Report.

Great show!! Thank you for providing this. I like the fact that there is a lot of positive energy coming out of the McCain team. People are energized, they know their stuff and they are very engaged. However, I did not have to be convinced on the difference between McCain and Obama. I have done my own research and have made up my mind. I hope this helped someone reach their own conclusions.

What's most interesting about this poll is they changed how they did it because so many were saying McCain supporters were voting over and over. Cheating. So now you have to enter your email, as well as a code, and it's still for McCain. Now we just need to make sure all these people get out to vote.

That's how I am going to vote here in CA also. Straight GOP, and I'm only voting NO on prop 7, 8 and 10.

I totally agree my city is by majority Hispanic. They do not like Obama at all. I don't think it's going to go well with him and the Hispanic vote. They loved Hillary we had Hillary signs all over the place, but now most of those are gone and the ones that are left you'll see McCain bumper stickers plastered across them. I finally saw one Obama/Biden yard sign. It went up yesterday. It's this little tiny thing on the street next to the elementary school where we'll be voting.

Yes, birds of a feather.
That would explain the far left wing loons' attraction to one another.
It would also explain Obama, Ayers, Wright, Rezko, Khalidi, Al Masour, Davis, Pfleger, Dorhn, and the rest. It's no accident, they flock together.

As for GOVERNOR Palin's intellect, I wonder if the author of that diatribe of CRAP has run a statewide budget of billions with thousands of employees.
Or is that person poised to recieve at least half the votes of the entire American public in a very important election?
Or is the author recieving the highest approval rating over all others in her currect position?

Jealosy is so unbecoming. Misogyny is worse.

If you have no income, you do not get a tax credit. I have done group insurance for over 20 years and every year I go out to these factories, offices and plants all over the country. Some of the people don't have money to buy a used beater, yet along an electric car. These a second, third and sometime fourth generation working in the industries. They have not been trained for anything else and really don't look past the next paycheck. We as American's must learn that all have not been educated beyond high school and in some cases grammer school. The Dems got lucky with GWB and believe me there will not be another one. If we don't understand this, we are finished.

Rothchild was on for a few minutes, but I guess she was catching a plane & had to get off the phone.

Dr Lynette was on for awhile. Very interesting. I didn't know that she coined the phrase "latchkey kids"? Also, she has written 14 math books? Anyway, she talked about Obama the product versus Obama the man. It was very good. She also talked about specific caucus fraud. I only listened to half, then had to put the kids to bed.

Sorry guys, I'm going to agree with Ann on this one. Sure, it will have an effect because it is so close to election day & there isn't any real time to successfully refute it.

But the fact is, we need to get off of fossil fuels. This means solar, wind, hydropower, nuclear, etc... Sure, people will lose their jobs in the coal industry. But there will be hundreds of thousands of new jobs in the new industries. People to build, repair, sell solar panels, wind turbines, nuclear facilities etc...

My personal feeling is that congress should pass a $5000 tax on all new vehicles (beg in 2010) that don't get at least 60mph in the city. You wanna see how fast these automakers build the designs they've had for years, but didn't produce because of their oil interests & their maintenence interests (you might be surprised, but car dealerships make the bulk of their money from repairs. Electric vehicle have far fewer mechanical issues. Cheaper to maintain).

Right now I heard it is estimated at $300 million & probably will reach upwards of $500 million before all is said & done.

I can't wait for the DNC to swallow that.

And if any politicians vote for forgive the debt, I'll remember that come next election.
