In the end, the people with whom we choose to associate speaks volumes about who we are, what we believe, and what path we choose to follow. "Character," in the end, is the final and most important measure of a man or woman and the ultimate threshold any Presidential candidate must cross. Time has proven that I cannot "trust" Obama's "words" or his character. His associations speak volumes about who he really is, but I choose not to read that book. Although I am not a Republican and have never before voted Republican, I do believe that John McCain has character. I trust his judgment. I know his associations are honorable. So, today, I voted for character, for trust, and for hope. I voted for John McCain, because I would rather elect a man who sacrificed himself on behalf of his fellow soldiers, instead of a man who sacrificed his party and his country for his ambitions.
