Pete Moore screwed up his and anyone elses chances of getting anymore info in this manner. One would think a political scientist would know to keep this method quite and work out a cover story about how he got the original docs. Gloating ego syndrome, I guess.

To those of you who doubt the effacaciousness of the Iraqi parliament and do not doubt that the PSAs are a done deal despite the hydrocarbon law being stalled for months, see the Iraqi govt in action.

Hmm, John Dean notes that Congress several options: Congress could send police to Gonzales’s office, handcuff him and jail him until the end of the 110th Congress. Unfortunately, that would mean that Congress would have just as much contempt for the DOJ has the DOJ has for Congress. Not a very good precedent to set.

A Special Counsel investigation is out of the question. Since it would fall to Gonzales to appoint him/her. Another option, Congress can do what it’s considering: A vote of no confidence. If that doesn’t happen then the attorneys at the DOJ could go on strike and shut down the DOJ. Otherwise, Bush has made it clear he’ll keep liar, lawbreaker, arrogant heckuva job Gonzales.

Why would the news report the news? Geez, Susan you have such high expectations.

It’s more than a late-night hospital power struggle. Bush believes he has unchecked powers. Therefore he doesn’t need to answer to anyone including the DOJ, which by the way has largely gone along with his illegal domestic spy program.
