Beware the Power of the Mob

Don’t think for a moment that just because the election is over, that President-elect Obama’s Kool-Aid drunk hordes of internet volunteer/bots/thugs are going to fade away and go back to playing Doom, Sims, Dungeons and Dragons or trolling for dates on Facebook.

In fact, one of the netroots’ great gurus, none other than Joe Trippi believes the Community Organizer in Chief will harness the power of his millions of devoted on-line minions to create one of the most powerful lobbying forces ever. Frank Greve of the McClatchy newspapers writes about that here.

Oppose the President at your own peril.

Joe Trippi, the Internet politics guru whose computer geeks made Howard Dean a contender in 2004 and who went on to design Obama’s socially networked campaign machine, offers a provocative and educated guess.

Trippi predicted that Obama would use his forces, first and foremost, to intimidate congressional foes of his agenda, rally his allies and forge “one of the most powerful presidencies in American history.”

Certainly, Obama reaches the White House with the biggest, best organized, fastest-acting grass-roots army in the history of presidential campaigning.

Moreover, because his Internet operation was miles ahead of Republican John McCain’s, Obama’s liberal-to-libertarian electronic activists are in a position to dominate the new political medium much as conservative Republicans dominate talk radio.

As for political utility, many thousands of volunteers such as Hood will be deployable within hours, with great precision and at almost no cost, thanks to the campaign’s state-of-the-art information-management systems.

The president-elect’s political operatives know, for example, the ZIP codes and hence the congressional districts of each of Obama’s million most active campaigners, those who volunteered via his Web site mybarackobama.com. It’s a social network that the campaign set up to communicate needs, events and assignments to volunteers.

We have already witnessed the power of his online intimidation network. Pro-Hillary websites shut down after thousands of false spam reports from Obots, personal e-mails of bloggers reported for spam and turned off as well and of course those lovely trolls who invade every site to hijack any discussion that deviates from the Obama party line.

Several media outlets were bombarded with harassing phone calls, e-mails and protestors minutes after the devoted received “Obama action alerts” letting them know that opposition voices were soon to appear on certain programs.

Those who read here are already well aware that the candidate who promised a new kind of politics also approves of a new kind of political dissent. That is of course, no dissent at all.

It really is scary to think of how he might use that power to pursue his agenda. All the more reason that we at No Quarter must begin to organize ourselves and grow our ranks. It will be the only way to combat the power of the mob.

    Sounds similar to the biblical ancient Babel where and when they were all of one language and essentially one voice and there was nothing they would propose to do that could be withheld from them. So how do we confuse their language? No, I don’t believe Obama is the anti christ, simply because he would be an insult to any anti christ.     10 years ago GM and Ford had a good opportunity to join with Edison Electric and develop an electric car and an electric grid of recharging stations all over the Southwest and they shelved the project. Why did they shelved the project? Why? Too difficult? Baloney.

    They just have this strategy of whining to the American people about how difficult it is to maintain their market segment and come crying to the government for a bailout.

    I say this. The only ones that should bail them out are the OPEC cartel. Why haven’t they strike a deal with OPEC to fully fund their research and development? Because they already have.

    I’ve said from the beginning that I can picture these Obots, vacant eyed with torches in the street, robbing and looting and demanding what they feel they’re due in life.

    Wont be long GM and Ford will be state entities anyway. Ford has a nasty history anyway. In the 30s (I think it was?) Henery Ford would guarantee any employ a good decent wage (above what the going wage was at that time)–IF– the worker would only agree to allow FORD to keep a running account of how the worker and his family lived their life.

    Listen to his first press conference. Listen to his ‘DEMANDS.’ He will probably be demanding from Paulsen and Bernanke and demanding from Pelozi and Reed right from the get go of this first opportunity.

    And the reason for his demands is the reason of this thread. He does not want to lay his hordes too much idling resting time lest they get lazy or complacent. He wants to start them early.

    When Pelozi, Reed and Hillary step on the podium to witness his inauguration, they will already be under duress to produce the results he wants, no if or buts about it.

    Well, we definitely shouldn’t “roll over and play dead.” Our voices need to be heard. If indeed the Obama Propaganda Machine keeps churning out lies and half truths, someone is obligated to call them out on it. Since Chris “Tingle Leg” Matthews has already taken it upon himself to insure that the new President succeeds, you can bet the farm in Kansas Mr. Tingle Leg isn’t up to report news from the Oval Office fairly or accurately. Hopefully Fox cable news won’t be the lone voice in the wilderness when things start to unravel within the new administration. God help us all if Fox, too, decides it’s better to “roll over and play dead” than play hardball in the true tradition of the game which is radically different from Matthews’ lame version of the sport.

    FISA will work to squash opposition coming from abroad. Mostly by blocking entrance into the U.S. to anyone with information that would compromise his administration. That will include U.S. citizens that travel abroad for information gathering purposes. They will be placed in ‘no fly list,’ etc.

    Look at all the people lining up for repayment of the political currency these hardcore DEMS gave to Obama instead of Hillary:

    John Kerry feels he deserves Secretary of State for dumping Hillary and pimping Obama.

    Howard Dean is also jockeying for a cabinet post and will likely hold Obama’s feet to the fire on rapidly removing troops from Iraq.

    The Kennedys are adding their third generation political kids to the short list for Obama’s administration.

    The Chcago Daley machine wants to be repaid for their behind the scenes machinations with the UNIONS.

    Pelosi & Reid are pushing their agenda to the top of the list and expect Obama to rubber-stamp it.

    Not to mention all the super-delegates who voted against their own constituencies to yank their votes from Hillary and hand their votes to Obama. Three words: PORK.PORK.PORK.

    The one thing the “new voters” fail to understand that a Democrat dominated house and senate was the reason Clinton’s first two years were so messy.

    Maybe No quarter will get something going. We need a commission like they had after 9/11 to investigate voter fraud. Dr. Lynn would be great to head that up.

    We need to get so much traffic to this site that things posted on here will be reprinted. This needs to become more than just a “blog” It needs to become more than just what is called “citizen reporters” I don’t want it to change in anyway, I just want it to get the respect that is it’s due.

    Why should Politico or HuffPo be quoted when we have talent here that surpasses them?

We the People couldn’t get court cases adjudicated, couldn’t even find an unbiased judge to demand a release of the information to prove eligibility. All that is still hanging out there, to be revealed “after the election”. well, it’s three days after that (s)election and we still know nothing. All they proved to us is that We the People have not had the power to change anything since 2000.

    That’s a funny comment, but not all young Obama supporters fit this mold. My daughter, a 20 yr. old college student, not only voted for Obama, but is going to his inauguration. I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful daughter — she is smart, sweet, and compassionate and really thinks that Obama will help the poor and downtrodden. I love her very much, but I told her I think that she is misguided.

    They won’t go away without a major fight that’s for sure. This election has created the perfect crime. The evil shadow men have placed into the WH a person that can’t be removed, no matter how illegal his election was. The country would come apart at the seams and there would be a civil war and they knew that. Clever, evil people they are. Therefore, no issue, no illegal citizenship, no past traansgressions ala drugs, medical problems ( mental illness rumor), illegal deals, nothing will be able to oust this guy. I forsee 8 years of bad karma for the US. We are in for a long, painful ride. We can try to fight and work to get this turned around, but it will take a real unification of opponents of this disgusting take-over to make it happen. I don’t think there are enough Americans yet who realize what a fine mess we are in. I’m ready, willing and able to fight, if the right circumstances occur. Good luck to us all.

    My neighbor called me very distressed, the day after the election. She went into work and confided in a co-worker (who voted for Obama because, she said, McCain’s wife was too “prissy” — well, that’s one thing that won’t ever be said of Michelle “something stinks in this room” Obama) that she was sad at the outcome of the election. Within minutes, she said an African American co-worker confronted her – “You got a problem with Obama?”. When she replied that she supported John McCain, the co-worker accused her of being a racist. That’ll teach her to ever vote against a person of color, won’t it?

    I’m not a Democrat, but it makes me respect Lieberman more that he has taken on his own party on occasion, which is more than you can say for the likes of Obama.

The only thing I can think of that she would add to the table is that she is unafraid to raise taxes in an economic downturn, and she fully expects higher revernues to come out of higher taxes. Should fit in nicely with the crowd forming in Washington.

    Lieberman’s first sin is that he beatdown the Move on.org candidate, Ned Lamont. His senate victory was due to many Republicans crossing over to vote for him. After his win, Republicans speculated that Lieberman would jump the Democrat ship and switch parties.

    The word was Lieberman wouldn’t switch because his constituents voted for a Democrat and Dem he would stay.

    Maybe this stunt by that limpdick Reid is enough to push Lieberman to the “R”s.

    Anyhoo, my short take is that BO thinks he controls Pelosi etc., Pelosi thinks she controls BO, HRC thinks she has influence due to former Clinton-staffers on BO and vice-versa. The whole shebang is just a hive of scum and villainy, with some people trying to achieve some actual good.

    To form an effective movement an alliance must be as broadly supported as possible. To make an alliance as broadly accepted as possible its stated goal must be as narrow as possible.

    My suggestion: get BO out. The inept parliament didn’t get the low approval rate it has for nothing, the new factor is BO – and he’s frightingly efficient.

    BTW, lay off the Dungeons and Dragons ppl. We’re mostly in our 30′s or older, have small businesses, a hard-science iso sociology etc. background, and -in the USA – quite a lot have an Army background to boot. Not exactly a fertile Obot-pool, almost all I know at worst didn’t like either Mac or Obama. The people the writer seem to refer to are into MMO’s at best.

    That may have already happened. Jerome Corsi had paperwork, proof of emails going back and forth between Obama and Odinga. Where is he? Nary a word on Fox, and he was supposed to come here from London to appear on Sean Hannity’s show, but nothing. I looked up his name the other day and I find he is writing articles from London. WTF happened?
    Although I do believe Obama is the son of Malcolm X, I also believe that Odinga wants to believe Obama is his cousin, the President-elect. Bush and Obama have a connection. I am sure of it. What we the people don’t get is that our political views don’t really matter. The presidency is decided by the controlling interests, and we are not it. We are however, the tool with which they have to use under the laws of the Constitution, we have to be “sold” on the candidate, and according to whichever way the wind is blowing, we have different desires as a nation. The Market Research was done, and Obama had to be the choice for the backers, because they needed to keep someone in who would keep making them money. Odinga could be rhe opening of the door to the African Natural resources that all of the world is eyeing. If Obama gets in there, I don’t know how he will do it, but I see it as a benefit to Odinga overthrowing the elected power with which he shares control. If Odinga gets in and becomes sole ruler, it will be a major victory for Muslims worldwide. It will be interesting to see if Bush’s dearest friends, the Saudi’s will be allowed in on this deal. If they are, we most assuredly are seeing a direct link back to Bush, and thus, his tie in with Obama in much more than just a superficial way.
    The Malcolm X link does make the most sense on the ties to William Ayers. It also shows how he ws able to be seamlessly supported and tuition financed by someone(s), and able to support himself so well in periods of time when he had no visible means of any real money. As Malcolm X’s only son, he would have been the heir to his legacy. Perhaps this is what they have sought to hide from us for so many months now. this would be known in the circles and indeed, throughout the Hyde Park circle of friends…so much to know, so little time to find out the truth. it is out there, it needs only to be pieced together, bit by bit until the entire picture is revealed. I know one thing, any similarities to the Kennedy family pale in comparison. Even the legacy of lies that have insulated the Kennedy clan for generations, seem like nothing when we look at the bubble or force field that has been placed around Obama.

    We should all be able to support our candidate without having to suffer in some way for doing so. This group following obama is only behaving the way they are because that is what is expected of them. Their are only two things that are patriotic…supporting obama and paying taxes.
    When was the last time you saw oprah walking on stage duriing her show…waving a flag and wearing a T shirt that said…”hope wins.” Only for obama…no other president had that kind of support from her. So…didn’t any president before obama provide for the people of this country? Didn’t any other president attempt to protect the people of this country? Didn’t any other president deserve her respect?
