With job losses going through the roof foreclosures will be even more prominent. The market will keep declining for years to come. It will take a good 5 years for this to straighten it self out or about the time it took to create this mess to begin with. Obama will be the most ineffective presidents we ever head. Bush will look like a dream compared to this guy. It won’t be all his fault but the Hope & Change crowed will not understand why thing did not get better since they elected him. They will not come out to vote ever again. So who ever runs against him in 2012 will easily win. The problem with most politicians is that they have to deal with reality once they get into office and as Bush has found out reality can be very inconvenient especially when it keeps kicking you in the a$$ when you least expect it.

I had to Email that school. Thanks for the links terri. This bully style of teaching is BS. Tell adults what you feel. Thats fine. But to talk down a kid and humiliate them? Thats garbage.

I know this stuff goes on at the college level. I saw bits of it in highschool. But fifth graders? WRONG! The kid who was going for Obama im sure is a straight A student this year! Ms my parent is going for Mccain can love the C average, regardless of how smart she is.

I teach college and that kind of behavior with even college kids would get me reprimanded if not fired outright. You cannot force your political or religious beliefs down someone’s throat in the guise of education or “discussion.” To do that to young kids– well, it reeks of communist reeducation, not America.

That little girl is doing her best to “soldier on” while her father is defending this nation. To tell a child that her father will be gone another hundred years is the height of cruelty. My dad died when I was in 6th grade. It is tough to be that age without a father. And. 0bama didn’t have a father at all. You’d think they’d have his bio committed to heart and be a tad more sympathetic.

Also, why did this teacher harp on US soldiers remaining in Iraq for 100 years? They have been occupying Germany since 1945, that’s about 63 years – as far as I am concerned, 100 years in the Middle East is just right. The teacher may not have known about the troops being stationed in Germany, after all, Mr. Obama may not have been aware or this fact either, otherwise he surely would have visited the wounded soldiers during his glorious foreign tour this summer.

Good grief! Yes,I saw that yesterday. What really angers me is when a few of the children do say McCain,she starts in with “Oh Jesus! Oh Lord!”. Amd then her tirade begins.

Everyone needs to email both the school and this teacher. I even emailed the school counselor. This poor child is essentially being told that she is responsible for her daddy not being able to come home. Very cruel and bullying behavior. The discussion could very easily have been presented from both sides.

I don’t think that an outright endorsement of any candidate should come from the pulpit. I see nothing wrong with discussing how political issues intersect with spiritual issues. However watching Rev Wright’s sermons and when that white dude who tried to sound like an AA guest spoke at Wrights church, would their “sermons” be crossing the line or does this endorsement ban only apply to white churches?

If we can’t agree on the “one true religion” why should we agree on a candidate based on ministers and teachers opinions? Both are just supposed to give us facts, not make up our minds for us. Keep politics out of both non profits who pay no taxes.

My niece once had a teacher that did the same thing with religion; took a hand count of those who didn’t attend her Church Sunday School class on Monday morning and showed a clear bias toward “her kids”; even had my niece trying to persade her mother to join the teacher’s church. This does interfere with the public education of those who agree and disagree with the teacher. (Those who agree feel superior to their “unenlightened” classmates.)

When my children’s Dad was serving in the Middle East, they lived every day with the quiet fear that their father might never come home. Sometimes this fear made them physically ill.

This “teacher” politicized the little girl’s father’s service and raised the fear that her father might never come home again.

This teacher’s behavior is intolerable in decent society.

I called the Cumberland County School Board and a woman told me that the Superintentent would be posting a statement soon.

The woman emphasized that this was the view of a lone teacher.

I absolutely agree: Many of this year’s “new voters” will not come out again in four years.

And yes, once a new president takes office, they have reality to face. My very earliest opposition to Barack Obama was that I thought he was so inexperienced that the office of the presidency would find him in over his head, not knowing what to do about anything; or worse, completely effing things up.

Teachers should have to go through psychological testing before they are certified to teach. This would weed out the bullies that are hurting our children. Nothing scarier than an adult authority figure belittling you in front of your classmates. More often than not, the classmates pick up where the teacher left off. After all, their “teacher” just taught them this behavior is acceptable. Shameful!

That was horrific! What a bully that teacher is. She should NEVER hold a position of power over children. Just outrageous. Can you imagine the outcry from the left if she had been defending McCain in a similar manner? But it’s OK to browbeat and belittle children if your doing it for Obama? She will get a pat on the head and a big bonus.

After seeing Hillary Clinton debase herself the way she did, I would not vote for her again. I don’t buy the “she had to do this to stay in politics” rhetoric. Everyone of us is responsible for our moral decisions. She isn’t the woman I thought she was and I wonder how much of a role Bill had in undermining her.

My son’s friend came home from school last week and the teacher asked the class who they would vote for. The vast majority of them said “Obama”. When she was done she said “for all of you who like McCain, you really need to speak to your parents”. I’m still trying to find out more info, but I’m steaming mad about this.

CCS Headline News – Superintendent’s Response to YouTube

I was shocked when I saw the clip of an interaction between a Cumberland County Schools teacher and her students as posted on YouTube. While neutral discussion of the political process is appropriate, at no time, particularly with elementary students, should a teacher infuse his/her political views into the discussion. Most disconcerting was the military slant that made its way into this discussion. We are a military community, serving over 15,000 military students and their families. We value the sacrifices, not only of the military parents but also those of their families.

We believe that military children are our children, military spouses are many of our employees, and military service men and women are our heroes. We proudly serve our military children and have received national awards for our support of military families.

I was particularly disturbed to see the uncomfortable position in which our children were placed due to the inappropriate actions of one of our teachers. Please be assured that the actions exhibited in this video are not consistent with the vision of the CCS. Moreover, the actions of one teacher do not represent the 7000 employees in our organization.

Once the video was brought to my attention, I immediately launched an investigation. Personnel laws prevent me from releasing information regarding individual employees and personnel action taken. I can assure you that upon completion of the investigation, I will take appropriate action.

Regardless of what this teacher’s motives were, I don’t believe her curriculum was right out of the teachers’ handbook or given the Go Ahead by the school board. And then she’s wearing a buttom with the Obama or President. In the matter of teaching children about politics, she did not keep a Non-Biased approach to her teachings. No wonder our kids end up acting like retards and graduate with a 4th grade reading level. Who wants to learn as a kid, when you’re told by your teacher that your parents are bad people for their choice? Then again, this teacher didn’t bring up the fact that since Obama came into the political spotlight, he’s spoken many times about redistributing OUR TAX DOLLARS to other people around the world who are less fortunate. That’s not the government money! That’s OUR money. The Soviet Union was a Fascist country and Redistributed the people’s wealth. He also wants to take away any chance of the American People to defend themselves by destroying the 2nd Amendment by taxing our ammunition and guns out of existance. But she didn’t bring that up now did she? This teacher is nothing of a kind. She should be reprimanded to the fullest extent of her contract and placed on probation, pending termination. And if anyone believes that Obama is going to save America from the Enemies of the World, you are sadly mistaken. He has said plainly for years EXACTLY what he is going to do. And to top it all off; He’s not even an American Citizen. I didn’t vote for Obama OR McCain. I did a Write-In vote for Ron Paul. I voted for the best man for the job; not the lessor or two evils. And by the way, I’m an American Indian. So don’t try to play the Racist Card on me.

Teachers are not supposed to reveal their political motives to any student. It is in the constitution, that is a fact. What this teacher did is off the charts. Not only did she reveal her political motives, but she attacked a little girl, one of her students. I am a republican and think that the teacher should be fired, even though she was just “expressing her free speech.” If she was white, she would be out of any school.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is also what happens when you allow inept and ignorant people in the teaching profession. This person is a very weak and mindless robot. Only an insecure and weak mental mindset would lead someone to attack a child. This is a form of child abuse. I wonder if the local DA will have the guts to investigate this? If we are really sincere and interested in upholding freedom then we’ll come to the defense of all children and not exclude conservative viewpoints from protection. This teacher is not only a disgrace to her profession, but a disgrace to the human race. I’m sure she’ll expect that her mortgage and car payments will be paid by Obama.

Wake up America! Either we’ll all be free or none of us will be free. Freedom requires strong personal character and sacrifice.
