I don’t think millions of women or millions of men are capable of running this country, let alone running it well. If that was really the case why bother this painstaking campaign process? Why not just have a lottery of the millions and let a ping pong ball with a number on it choose the lucky new leader of the free world. Your delusions are painful.

I had to look beyond many of the long-term issues I think are important and focus on what this country needs (and doesn’t need) during this economic crisis. And again, I wasn’t about to support the lack of ethical principles demonstrated by the Democratic leadership this election cycle. For me principles are more important than short-term gain. Abandoning ethics and principle in favor of short-term gain has in large part gotten us where we are in this country. Businesses did whatever they had to do to keep turning in outrageous profits, at the expense of the country’s long-term stability. Republicans gutted the Constitution to protect our short-term safety.

The actions of the Democrats this year are the same to me. When you abandon your principles to fight your enemies, you become them. Fight dirty and you get dirty. And that’s not how I roll.

What a price the rest of us have to pay to make the black community feel worthy. I for one never thought they weren’t. For 40 years, the opportunities and affirmative action have been there for them. I didn’t close any doors, only opened them. While I was feeling really good and holy about myself, helping the “downtrodden”, my rights are eroding more every day. To hell with that.

But I’ll bet you feel so good about yourself because you helped break the “color barrier”. So kind and compassionate. So understanding and happy that you’re so so so so gooooood. I understand your internal dialog. I used to be just like you…ready to hand over anything to anyone who’d promise me they’d think I was a really, really, nice person and soooooooo goooooood. No thinking required past that point for white liberal guilt. We don’t need peer group people pleasers.
