Trip Down Memory Lane?

So, I went to YouTube a few moments ago, and found the following video. I know, I know, we have discussed this issue a bunch, and “Voldebama” is still the “President-Select.” But I think it bears repeating – we ARE known by the company we keep, or we should be:

As a bonus for those of us who used to go to Taylor Marsh, that was another part of the trip down Memory Lane – before she became addicted to the Kool Aide and was actually a reasonable, rational person. Was that really only 8 months ago?? Seems like a lifetime ago, that’s for sure…

Then there is this:

Of course, I don’t understand why Morris, or the “52% of people” (I know, I know – there weren’t really that many given the duplicate fraudulent votes), DON’T think that Voldebama getting his start in Ayers and Dorhn’s living room, or working with him at Woods, wasn’t important! It goes to a pattern, a way of thinking, that is the issue here. That DOES matter, as Sean Hannity points out so succinctly (I know – I’m quoting Hannity, but he is right when he recites these associates. More in the media SHOULD have done so). Morris raises some great questions. Ones that were never answered by the media, that’s for sure. Just one more strike against them, in my humble opinion.

Anywho, I wonder how long it will be before Voldebama announces Bill Ayers as Secretary of Education? I think it will be January 21st. Maybe we should have a pool! Yeah, that’s the ticket!! And then we can watch all of the university professors who supported Voldebama, and others, trying to excuse the ideology of this unrepentant terrorist who wants to “radicalize” our youth. Oh, yeah – that should be some fun. If only it wasn’t so damn problematic. Let’s hope this is one bet that doesn’t come to fruition…

Ayers will probably be the Shadow Secretary of Education — my guess is since O-zero is so sneaky that’s how hell play the game.

I’m on dial up so I can’t see the vid-clips.

But I have a question — if we are no longer feminists then is the an alternative name.

I’m no longer a feminist (’cause some ex-playboy bunny named Gloria Steinem and other nitwits are the gate keepers for “feminists”. If Palin isn’t a feminist then neither am I.)

    I’m no longer a liberal.

I’m no longer a democrat — because I believe in the equality of all humans — and democrats are obviously sexists and homophobic.

People who I thought were my friends are now delusional fools and it is impossible to have a rational conversation with them.

We are now expected to submit to a psychological abusive male — because he has the Penis — therefore he is experienced.

So yes — Ayers will have some sort of important function — and therefore terrorist is now acceptable. What else, I wonder, will be acceptable.

Pastor Manning says his resistance movement will refrain from calling O-zero the Prez. I like the idea of a resistance movement. I already avoid tv — and know that the media is basically full of sh*t.

  • Emerson

You speak for many of us.
    This is seriously creepy.

Luckily, I am in an at-will state so I pink-slipped the creepy employees. I am avoiding the creepy family members and friends. I just cannot stomach being around them. They are of course, continuing to parrot all the hateful talking points.

Unifying with hate. Where have we seen that before?
Camp Obama. Loyalty pledges. Breaking the law for Obama. Spewing hatred for all opposed to “the one”.

Reporters now saying that their job is to help “the one”. For our country. Liberals (and Pelosi) are pushing for the Fairness Doctrine. Required service for high school/college students. 3 million strong Civilian Security Force?

People who I thought were my friends are now delusional fools and it is impossible to have a rational conversation with them.

How soon before those creepy friends are asked to provide our names because we do not support him?

I think that was not his point. He started to make (of late) a point that I had made repeatedly before. You, I and the NQ reades do care about this issue BUT it did not shock or register (for whatever reason) with the average (say blue collar, working class, “average Joe” democrat or independent). But if they had
    explain to the people: to the parents what the ideology of the CAC was about;
how the bashed teachers, wanted to introduced into the classroom and into kids minds their agaenda THEN parents would have tuned in and say: wait a second; I do NOT want that for my kid; who is this guy;I do not want him in charge of my children’s education. THAT would have resonated and once you get them to paid attention, Ayres past sinks in. I was in complete dismay watching the debates and Education NOT being raised and when it was tangentially McCain NOT pounding BO on it; on his sole executive experience being on Education and having a failed record ($$) and using it to impart on kids a dangerously flawed ideology.

The made a huge mistake and I still don’t know why. My sense is b/c there was also a Repub. involved and the CAC pushed vouchers (just as BO does and of course the Reupbs)
and maybe the didn’t know how to deal with that…I don’t know. But emphasizing only the relationship without the BLUNDER of their joint enterprise was the easy & cheap way of bringing Ayres and it was not and did not engage people. They needed people to pay attention FIRST and Education was it….

Okay, my 2 cents… ( is it “My 2 Cents” a Trademark? would have to pay Matt if o …;-) )
didn’t know why until I thought

That civilian “force” is one of the creepiest parts of the illusionist O-zero.

Many people already volunteer their time for some cause or the other. We have volunteer firefighters in rural areas. Others that keep the road shoulders clean. This is work by volunteers — not SLAVE LABOR — Soviet style.

Now communist style — are we supposed to have overseers — we track our movements and have computers track our service time? I don’t think so — THAT is not how America was founded.

After watching the camp Obama-bots at the caucus I absolutely know that these people are being trained in bullying and thuggery techniques — and people will fall for that crap. Reports from other caucus goers also tell similar stories in all the caucus states. So I know what I observed was not unique.

    Cult Watch
10 Points to look out for in your group members
    1. Obsession about group or the leader putting it above most other considerations.
    2. Member’s individual identity becomes increasingly fused with the group, the leader and/or God followed by the group. Cloning of the group members or leader’s personal behaviors.
    3. Emotional overreaction when the group or leader is criticized. Seen as evil persecution.
    4. Belief that the group is “THE WAY” and they have a mission.
    5. Increasing dependency upon the group or leader for problem solving, explanations, definitions and analysis, and corresponding decline in real, independent thought.
    6. Excessive hyperactivity and work for the group or leader, at the expense of private or family interests. Drifting away from family and old friends.
    7. Preparedness to blindly follow the group or leader and defend actions or statements without seeking independent verification.
    8. Demonization of former members or members of alternative groups.
    9. Desire to be praised for doing the right thing and fear of public rebuke.
    10. Unhealthy wish to be seen with or aligned publicly with the leader(s) of the group.

We see #3 in Trolls every day, every hour — constantly.

It was the action of the Obama-bots early on that clued me to the fact that something was not right with campaign of Obama — the Cult of Personality — well we have seen the tragic outcome of this all too often.

Bill Ayers is another cult leader — has Obama fallen under Ayers’ spell or has Obama put a spell on Ayers?

Yep — Bots answer for any question about their leader was to go to their messiah’s website — ALL the answers are there.

His core believers are hopeless — just like bush’s core believers.

  • Ai1een

Yes, Reverend Amy, as you wrote so well, it’s hard to believe I actually used to frequent the Taylor Marsh site every day just 8 months ago-how alliances change especially when money enters the picture.

As I was writing my snarky response to Deborah Howell’s Wash Po piece yesterday, I clicked on my account there and read a few of my past posts 9 months ago about their Obama bias. Surely we are in a time warp in addition to an Obamessiah nightmare.

NORTHWEST RAIN and FELLOW NO QUARTER READERS, as part of the “RESISTANCE MOVEMENT”, I started going to my computer and listening to TalkStream Radio’s “OVERNIGHT A.M.” which is: “Patriot Brigade Radio.” It’s on at 10:00 EST (9:00 Central) every night Monday thru Friday and, as far as I know, that time (I hope) doesn’t interfere with some of the broadcasting shows at NO QUARTER RADIO which I also enjoy, frequent and support. And, if there is ever some overlap, go to NO QUARTER b/c PATRIOT BRIGADE RADIO has a continuous feed of the prior night’s show on all the next day.

Just this week PATRIOT BRIGADE RADIO has grown ten fold. I enjoy being with like minded people at this time whether it be listening to No Quarter Radio or TalkStreams’s Overnight A.M. -PATRIOT BRIGADE RADIO w/chat.

Election or no election, I am not abdicating my responsibility as a citizen and a devoted patriot of this country just because a charlatan frauded his way into the White House. I will be vigilant in watching over my country; we should all solemly protect what we hold dear. Through NO QUARTER, NO QUARTER RADIO, PATRIOT BRIGADE we have access, at least unless/until Obama enacts the Fairness Doctrine.

  • Ferd Berfle

There are no Democrats left in the fomer party and unfortunately that includes H and B. Moreover, both parties have sold out to the extremists. This election afforded an opportunity to regain control of the ship of state and get it off the reef on the far right. Apparently it is now headed directly for the iceberg on the far left.

Gloria is just not that into women who aren’t liberal. It is sort of a libero-fascio-feminism. A woman must pass a litmus test before she can win support of Gloria Steinum, Erica Jong, NARAL, Emily’s List, PP, etc. I wonder if Gloria ever spoke directly with Sarah Palin about women’s issues or did she just go with the national smear and then support woman-hater nobama, who wouldn’t have Hillary as veep. Too bad about that Larry Summers misogyny stuff but it can be overlooked because this is a liberal penis, so inadequate that is creates the need to devalue women’s brains….but fear not Gloria, he is pro-choice (maybe).

    LOL abt paying Matt…

And I get your point, Andy. I think blue collar people didn’t get it because no one else but Fox News was saying anything abt it! Maybe McCain should have been harping on it more earlier, but it really wasn’t until the ads came out by other organizations right before the election that Ayers past, and his early association with Obama, was on major channels. The MSM colluded with Obama when he said there was nothing to see here, move along.

But you make some great points, Andy. Dang, why didn’t McCain’s campaign, no, HILLARY’S, listen to us?!? Sheesh!!

  • Ferd Berfle

Yep. The extremists have maintained control of the country and so our bumpy ride continues. I think I want off at the next stop.

  • Winston

I do not understand how former Dems say that the Bush admin was extreme right. Bush spent like a liberal and bloated government. That is not an extreme right wing idea. Bush has given record amounts to Africa; that is not an extreme right wing.

Bush had an open borders policy, that is not an extreme right wing idea. Bush favored amnesty and on and on. The reason why his poll numbers were so bad is because Repubs thought he was not conservative enough.

I am a moderate repub upset at Bush for going way to left. I give him low marks for that.

Now we have a Marxist. To me Obama is THE MOST LEFT WING candidate ever to run for POTUS.

Bush is NOT extreme right. There is no comparison to Obama’s extremeness.

    Obama’s permanent, secretive, tax-exempt transition organization…

    UNPRECEDENTED AND SECRETIVE
Lost amid all of the jubilation of the Obama victory was the announcement by the Obama transition team that it had set up a separate transition program beyond the one that is paid for by the American taxpayer. Called the “Obama/Biden Transition Project,” it is a 501(c)4 tax-exempt organization, with no limits on the contributions it can receive and no requirements to divulge the names of individuals or organizations that give it money.

Traditionally, the victorious campaign has set up inaugural funds, as well as funds to deal with legal costs and other expenses to close down the campaign. Others have set up quasi-corporate offices to deal with transition issues, such as in 2000, when, with the election in doubt, the Bush-Cheney team set up a private transition office in McLean, Virginia, covering the costs from campaign contributions and other fundraising. Ultimately, the federal government, headed by the Government Services Administration, covers the cost of the transition staff, providing it with office space and all equipment.

No one is certain that any political organization has ever set up a tax-exempt entity that would be shrouded in such secrecy, particularly when Obama claimed he would be more transparent about the way things were done.

“To my knowledge, it’s never been done, and people should be asking why the Obama people chose to do it this way,” says a longtime Washington Republican, who has been involved in transitions for the Reagan and Bush campaign teams.

You know, the media bias is not going to end (Palin is right they need to talk to the people directly above the MSM heads) and that’s why if they had brought up Education and pounded on Obama’s record there Ayres and his whole baggage would have naturally come up. The campaigns needed to MAKE people raise their heads and pay attention first. And you know, if Education would have been a more central theme the MSM would have had to report it and even if they didn’t working parents out there not tuned into the MSM and the blogs 24/7 would have hang on to that message from the
    (McC or HRC camps).

Big spending is not limited to the former Democrats and the current occupant of the WH. Reagan was a big spender, too. Bush’s insistence on the renewal of FISA and that God damned Patriot Act make him an extremist to the right. We’ve just traded one for another.

I am a centrist former Democrat who wants a centrist in office at some point in my lifetime. Frankly, party affiliation is irrelevant. The parties are no more than groups of emboldened frat boys on a binge.

Women were the single largest voting block for Obama. Only Blacks and Latinos had higher percentage disparity but in raw numbers women dominated.

We can thank Gloria, NOW, Jane Fonda and Oprah for the brain washing over the last 30 years.

If wasn’t about feminism, it was about radicalizing liberalism. Look at Oprah, made millions from women, then endorses Obama instead of Hillary. She didn’t have to endorse anyone until the end of the Primary. But she jumped in to squash Hillary.

52% of Mom’s didn’t care about the Ayers Terrorist because the planes didn’t crash in their back yard on 9/11. This country has a bunch of selfish, spoiled, arrogant people who don’t give a shit about anything or anyone but themselves.

They excuse any bad behavior by their kids-they go by the name Obots. These are the same people that also get shot by their own kids. Our society, slowly but surely has been going far to the left. There is an excuse for everything, it’s not my fault, Judges let criminals go so they can commit more crimes. The innocent are guilty and the guilty innocent. The criminals have more rights than the victims. Just look at this farce of an election. It’s sickening. The people that don’t get upset about things like Ayers, you know who they are. They are the parents who let their kids play in the street because they want them to be a “free spirit” but then are on the 11 o’clock news screaming and crying because a car hit their kid or some pervert snatched them and ran off w them. No accountability.

The video says that Alice Palmer introduced the Obamas to Ayers and Dohrn in 1995.

That is incorrect. Obama’s wife worked with Dohrn at the same lawfirm for several years in the late 80s/early 90s. And Barack and Bill definately had met a long time before that.

These are events from Obama’s life that pertain to Ayers from this timeline about Obama

    1971-1979

While a teenager in Hawaii, Obama spends considerable time with Frank Marshall Davis (whose identity Obama hides by describing him only as “Frank” in his book, “Dreams From My Father”). [19] Davis is a dope-smoking drinking buddy of Obama’s grandfather, Stanley Dunham. [21] (Obama had met Davis shortly after arriving in Hawaii, at age 10, [21] but was most influenced by him during his high school years.) In place of his absent father and stepfather, Davis becomes Obama’s mentor.

It is believed that Davis was a close friend of Thomas Ayers (father of William Ayers) in Chicago, and that it was Davis who encouraged Obama to attend Columbia College in New York and hook up with William Ayers. [259]

    1979-1981

While at Occidental, Obama joins the Students for Economic Democracy (SED), which is a branch of the Campaign for Economic Democracy (CED), a group that was founded by radical, anti-American, Marxist activist Tom Hayden (former husband of actress Jane Fonda), who was also active with the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). [259] (William Ayers’ subsequent radical group, the Weather Underground, was comprised of many former SDS members; in 1969 the Weather Underground – then called simply “Weatherman” – declared “war on Amerikka.”) Obama’s first known public speech takes place at an Occidental College event sponsored by the SED. [259,332]

    1981-1984

Obama moves to New York City and enrolls at Columbia University. He attends socialist conferences “for inspiration.” His roommate is Pakistani Muslim Sohale Siddiqi. [26,27] Siddiqi is a drug user; Obama allegedly stops using drugs while at Columbia. Living a few blocks away from Obama and Columbia is William Ayers (at 520 West 123rd Street). [206,297]

Like his Occidental College papers, Obama’s academic files from Columbia have been kept secret. [259] While attending Columbia, Obama lived off campus, near William Ayers. It is possible Obama first met Ayers during those years, 1981-1983. Looking for evidence of Obama’s past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia students from that time period; none remembered Obama. [259] There is speculation that Frank Marshall Davis arranged for Obama to meet William Ayers in New York, and their being neighbors was not a coincidence; Ayers then possibly suggested that Obama return to Chicago with him. (Was Ayers the reason Obama moved to Chicago?) [259] (Years later, Obama and Ayers are neighbors in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.)

Obama and Ayers share a mutual friend, Edward Wadie Said, a Palestinian-American, political activist, anti-Israel professor at Columbia; Said was called toe “professor of terror” by the American magazine, “Commentary.” [332,334] In 1998, Obama and his wife attend a banquet at which Said is the keynote speaker; in fact, Obama is seated next to Said at dinner. [335]

    1985-1988

Obama also works with the Alinsky group “Developing Communities Project” (DCP), and “ACORN” (the “Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now”) and Project Vote, both Alinsky-network creations. Obama’s duties include organizing residents of the Altgeld Gardens housing project on Chicago’s south side. [45,324] ACORN is an off-shoot of what had been the National Welfare Rights League (NWRL), a militant 1960s group that staged protests in welfare offices and, often successfully, demanded increased benefits with threats of violence. ACORN was founded by William Ayers’ SDS associate, Wade Rathke, and is currently the largest and most powerful leftist organization in the United States. [227,322]

Obama has probably already met William Ayers by this time, and likely still remains in contact with him. [259]

Obama is hired with $25,000 Kellman receives from the Woods Fund. [33] Obama will later serve on the Woods Fund board, along with former Weather Underground domestic terrorist, Pentagon bomber, radical, leftist, communist, and fugitive from justice William Ayers. [33,204]

Note that the Woods Fund was founded by the Woods family, which owned a coal business that was a major supplier of coal to Commonwealth Edison; the CEO of Commonwealth Edison was Thomas Ayers, father of William Ayers. [346]

    1988 – 1991

It has been suggested that it was William Ayers who persuaded Khalid al-Mansour to raise funds for Obama’s Harvard tuition. [259]

In 1989, Obama works briefly at the Sidley Austin LLP Law Firm, [55] as a summer associate from Harvard law School, where he meets future wife Michelle LaVaughan Robinson; she is his mentor at the law firm. [324] Also working at the firm is Bernadine Dohrn (1984-1988), former Weather Underground radical, terrorist bomber, fugitive from the FBI, and wife of fellow radical William Ayers. (Although Dohrn works for the law firm, her criminal record prevents her from being admitted to the Illinois bar.) [50]

Obama’s summer job at Sidley Austin is likely arranged by William Ayers and Ayers’ father, Tom Ayers, (CEO of Commonwealth Edison, 1975-1986). [259]

In 1990, Obama serves as a summer associate at the law firm Hopkins and Sutter in Chicago. [357]

In 1990, Obama turns down a job offer from Antoin “Tony” Rezko’s low-income housing development company; this may have been Obama’s first contact with Tony “the fixer” Rezko. [48] Rezko, born in Aleppo, Syria, maintains varied contacts with Obama until he is convicted and jailed in 2008. It is not known how Obama first met Rezko. [245] (Ayers, Obama, and Rezko have all dealt with the Broadway Bank in Chicago, run by the mob-tied Giannoulias family, and it may have been Ayers or a Giannoulias family member who brought Obama’s name to the attention of Rezko.)

    1991-1992

Obama plans his first book, “Dreams From My Father.” He receives a $125,000 advance from publisher Simon and Shuster, but fails to write the book. Obama travels with his wife to Bali to gain the “peace and quite” to write, but still produces no manuscript. The contract is canceled, and Obama is asked to return part of the advance payment he receives. Obama returns to Chicago, signs a new contract (with Times Book, a Random House Division) for $40,000, and subsequently delivers a completed manuscript. It is believed that “Dreams From My Father” was ghost-written by Obama’s friend, William Ayers, based on the startling similarities of Ayers’ writings and the Obama book, the fact that Obama’s only previous public writings were atrocious poetry he had written in college, and Obama’s inability to speak well when not reading from a script or off a teleprompter. The book is a critical and financial dud – until Obama becomes famous and it is re-printed. [57,58,224,250]

    1993 – 1996

In 1993, Obama is placed on the board of the Woods Fund by William Ayers. (The period Obama serves on the Woods Fund board may be 1997 to 2002; conflicting dates have been presented in the media.) [259,297]

About 1993 (possibly later), Obama buys a townhouse in Chicago, with a loan provided by the city’s Broadway Bank. His down payment is $110,000. The bank, owned by the politically-connected Giannoulias family, is alleged to have long-standing mob ties, as well as connections with Tony Rezko and William Ayers. Allegedly Obama gets a “sweetheart” deal on the townhouse, ostensibly in exchange for future favors. (Obama later endorses Alexi Giannoulias when he runs for Illinois State Treasurer.) [281,291,329]

William Ayers (who may have met Obama as early as 1981) selects Obama as chairman (1995-2000) of the “Chicago Annenberg Challenge on Excellence in Education” (CAC) [59,60], an educational reform program that proves to be remarkably unsuccessful [60,204]; Ayers and Obama approve grants of $175,000 and $482,662 to groups founded by Ayers and run by former communist party leader Mike Klonsky. [61,155,156,201] Obama may have worked with the CAC as early as 1993.

Obama approves enough grants with CAC money that the “Chicago Reader” refers to Obama as a “philanthropist.” Obama’s time with the CAC is his only “executive experience.” While with the CAC, Obama and Ayers distribute an amount in the neighborhood of $100 million, and achieve essentially none of the group’s stated goals. [297]

It should be noted that the selection of Obama, a 33 year-old junior lawyer at a small law firm, as chairman of the educational reform group CAC is strange, inasmuch as the board also includes several older and experienced university presidents – one of whom, Stanley O. Ikenberry of the University of Illinois, later remarks, “It was unusual, here you had a person trained in the law chairing a board on school reform.” [65]

In 1995, Obama’s political career starts with a fundraiser at the home of Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn [60,66]. Ayers and Dohrn are former 1960s radicals and former Weather Underground militants, who disappeared in 1970 after their bomb, designed to kill army officers in New Jersey, accidentally destroys a Greenwich Village townhouse; they eventually turn themselves in to authorities in 1980; but because of improper FBI surveillance Ayers and Dohrn are never prosecuted for their involvement in 25 bombings; [67,71]

Ayers and Dohrn (who has met with communists in Cuba and Viet Cong representatives in Budapest) [68,69] are alleged to have been occasional baby-sitters for the Obama children. [70,71] Obama falsely claims that this 1995 fundraiser is the first time he met William Ayers. [259]

The North Vietnamese have presented both Ayers and Dohrn with rings made with metal from an American plane shot down in North Viet Nam. [69]

An interesting side note: Ayers and Dohrn are the adoptive parents of Chesa Boudin, whose parents, David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin, are serving three consecutive 25 year prison terms for felony murder, having killed three Brinks guards in a 1981 robbery to get cash to fund their Weather Underground, SDS, Black Liberation Army, and Black Panther Party activities. Chesa Boudin was named a Rhodes Scholar, through the help of Dennis Hutchinson, a professor at the University of Chicago, where Ayers and Obama taught. [205]

In 1997, Obama and Ayers appear together as speakers on several occasions; at the University of Chicago, their topic is, “Should a child ever be called a ‘super predator?’” [71,83] The announcement of their November, 1997 appearance together states, “Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School, who is working to combat legislation that would put more juvenile offenders into the adult system.” [237]

In 1997, Obama endorses William Ayers’ book on juvenile justice, with an article praising it in the Chicago Tribune in which Obama calls the Ayers book a “searing and timely account of the juvenile court system.” Michelle Obama (who at this time is the University of Chicago’s dean of student services and director of the school’s Community Service Center), hosts a panel discussion of the book, in which both Obama and Ayers participate. In 2008, seeking to distance to Obama from Ayers, the campaign claims Obama did not “write a blurb for his book.” [77,84,279,333]

Ayers mentions Obama in his book, where he writes, “Our neighbors include Muhammad Ali, former mayor Eugene Sawyer, poets Gwendolyn Brooks and Elizabeth Alexander, and writer Barack Obama. Minister Louis Farrakhan lives a block from our home and adds, we think, a unique dimension to the idea of ‘safe neighborhood watch’: the Fruit of Islam, his security force, has an eye on things twenty-four-hours a day.” [78,297,333] In April of 2008, when Obama’s relationship with Ayers is brought up in a primary debate, Obama lies, saying he doesn’t know him well and that he is only “a guy who lives in my neighborhood.” [78,279]

    1998-1999

Until 2002, Obama serves, with William Ayers, on the board of the Woods Fund, a liberal Chicago non-profit organization. [81] Grants from the fund are given out to Reverend James T. Meeks (a fiery, anti-white and anti-Semitic Chicago preacher, in the style of Obama’s reverend Jeremiah Wright), and Father Michael Pfleger (perhaps best known encouraging his parishioners to buy time from prostitutes as a way of inviting the women to counseling and job training).

    2000-2001

In 2000, Obama enters the primary for U.S. Congress. In a television interview he gives during the campaign, he cites as a qualification his experience with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the educational reform project on which he worked with William Ayers. (The project ends up wasting over $100 million, without accomplishing any of its stated goals.) [60,204]

In August of 2001, William Ayers is photographed trampling on the American Flag, for a cover article in the “Chicago Magazine” titled “No Regrets.” [279] (Note: the magazine is very popular in Chicago and is prominently displayed on newsstands throughout the city; Obama would have had a difficult time not seeing the magazine cover.) [279]

In a September 11, 2001 article in the New York Times, William Ayers is quoted as saying, “I don’t regret setting bombs… I feel we didn’t do enough.” At the time Ayers makes that statement, he and Obama are serving together on the Board of the Woods Fund. [279]

    2002-2003

In 2002, Ayers and Obama appear together at the University of Illinois for a discussion called, “Intellectuals: Who Needs Them?” [94]

    2005

Living within a few blocks of Obama’s mansion are Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers, and Toni Preckwinkle. Preckwinkle in Chicago’s 4th Ward Alderwoman [329]

    2008

Obama defends his association with William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn with the statement, “The notion that…me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago… somehow reflects on me and my values doesn’t make much sense.” [141] Dohrn once publicly praised Charles Manson and his followers for killing actress Sharon Tate. Dohrn’s words were, “Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!” [142] In 2007, Ayers describes the United States as an “…incipient fascist country,” and talks about overthrowing capitalism, [143] while Dohrn, at a reunion of the radical group Students for a Democratic Society, says that “…living in America constitutes living in the belly of the beast” and “the heart of the monster.” [143]

When further criticized for his friendship with William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, the Obama campaign issues a lengthy document trivializing their actions as 1960s radicals and defending them as “respectable fixtures of the mainstream in Chicago.” [143] In a September 11, 2001 New York Times interview, Ayers says of the bombings history, “I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough.” [144] In a memoir published by Ayers after 9/11, he wrote that America is “not a just and fair and decent place… it makes me want to puke.” [144] The cover of Ayers’ book is a photograph of him trampling on an American flag.

Obama’s lawyers file a complaint with the Justice Department, in an effort to stop the broadcasting of an “American Leadership Project” campaign ad linking Obama to William Ayers. [157]

Among the groups supporting Obama is “Progressives for Obama,” founded by Mark Rudd (who had been trained by the KGB in Cuba); former Weather Underground member and close ally of William Ayers; Tom Hayden, former husband of actress Jane Fonda and principle founder of the radical Students for a Democratic Society, who traveled to North Vietnam to give support to the Viet Cong; Bill Fletcher, founder of the Marxist Black Radical Congress; Barbara Ehenreich, honorary chairman of the Democratic Socialists of America; and actor Danny Glover, recipient of $20 million from Venezuela’s dictator Hugo Chavez to make a movie about a Haitian communist revolutionary. Ayers is on the board of a Venezuelan government think tank tasked to bring Cuban-style education to Venezuela. [218,262]

Reporter Stanley Kurtz asks to view the historical public records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), an education reform program led by Obama and William Ayers; there is an initial refusal to release the records, orchestrated by Ken Rolling, former executive director of the CAC and an associate of Obama and Ayers, but the records are later released – after being “cleansed” of sensitive documents by Rolling and others. Rolling, like Obama and Ayers, is a former board member of the Woods Fund. [176,177]

It is noted that Obama’s public relations staffer, Marilyn Katz, was the “security chief” for the Students for a Democratic Society; involved in the 1968 Democrat Party Convention riots, Katz advocated throwing studded nails in front of approaching police car tires, and throwing plastic bags of human excrement, cans of urine, and golf balls with nails at the police. As PR person for Obama, one of Katz’ jobs is to downplay the candidate’s past relationship with William Ayers; Katz herself, as a prominent SDS leader, was likely an associate of Ayers in the 1960s. Obama will be transferring his campaign lists to the White House to be used in communications with his followers and operatives. He will use them to strong arm Congress and those who rise against any of his policies, including any in the Armed Forces.

People who I thought were my friends are now delusional fools and it is impossible to have a rational conversation with them.

I live in CA. Had many lib friends. No more. CA liberals are the most intolerant group I have ever encountered. The are bigots on so many levels.

I have nothing against Gays. But the radical gay mafia is out of control. I marched in the gay pride parade to support them a few years ago. That was an eye opener. It is not about equal rights, it is about going left left left.

Greenpeace hounds you any time you happen to walk near a whole foods. They spam you on the way in and the way out. Very aggressive. Lay guilt on you. The founder of Greenpeace quit because they became too radical.

Several years ago the ELF (Earth Liberation Front) burned down an 50 million dollar apartment complex next door. I had to evacuate at 3:00am with out any possessions. The fire was so intense they decided to just let it burn. They could not even try to put it out. It melted two 10-story steel cranes.

And many years later I have not had a single conversation with anyone about this act of terrorism. It never happened. Some neighbors acted like the builders deserved it because there were some rabbits that lived in the valley that had to move elsewhere. No kidding.

There is no limit as to how far the Left will go.

Agreed. Accountability is the issue because there is very little. From teachers to cops, parents to politicians; lawyers to doctors–no one is held accountable for their actions any more. The only ones who are held accountable are those lacking the requisite 15 minutes of fame or the ability to get a fair hearing, i.e., good counsel.

that God damned Patriot Act make him an extremist to the right

    .

In light on 911 I think this is an unfair criticism. If it had been done for no reason then that would be considered extreme. There were time limits on it as well. I am a centrist libertarian and the Patriot Act did not scare me in the least. Maybe because I live in the People’s Republic of CA where free speech has been abolished the Patriot Act was the least of my worries.

What are you talking about? Are you responding to something I said?

If these so-called feminists had come out screaming that is was time for a woman president when Hillary was starting off in the primary, we would have a woman president-elect today. Where were they? Why didn’t they scream sexism 24-7 like the racist stuff for nobama? If nothing else, feminism would have received the notice it deserved, the nutcrackers would have been removed from the airport, and “Sarah Palin is a c**t” t-shirts might not have been made. What is Gloria’s excuse for this? And all the rest of them….we had a pro-choice feminist candidate who they didn’t do anthing for. They should put on their cheerleading outfits with the big phallus on the front and the double pom-pom balls.

Obviously because it is too complicated to be analyzed in a sound bite of 30 to 60 seconds.

There is an excuse for everything

That’s what I mean when I say that for every action verb there is an excuse to it. And that is what Obama is all about. Proposing change and excusing the outcome.

  • lark

    The ghost of Osama maybe.

  • Winston

Strange they were so invisible. They seemed to be for Obama. I can see why they would freak over Governor Palin but not Hillary.

  • LDW

In my opinion Obama doesn’t have terrorist leanings: people like Ayers were just the easiest stepping-stones available to him across Ambition River to the Golden Shores.

The problem with Obama is that he has no firm political convictions. His chameleon politician persona has the ability to listen to various groups and seem as though he agrees with them. If one tunes into any radio or television station in the aftermath of this election, one will hear interview after interview of individuals and leaders of various groups who all are convinced Obama has promised to promote their agendas.

Obama has no judgement. If he is swayed by a particularly convincing but one-sided presentation, he will be gung ho to promote that side. The next day, after Obama’s frantic advisors and handlers talk to him about he political folly of his previous statements and present another side of the argument, Obama is then gung ho to promote this polar opposite point of view. This didn’t seem to matter during the primaries and the election, when the press and pundit W.O.R.M.S were out in force minimizing Obama’s reversals and gaffes, but now Obama will have real power and won’t always get a ‘do over’ chance on his decisions.

Now Obama will be President, and he is ignorant about many important things, including foreign relations, economics and healthcare. Having no knowledge, he has no good judgement. His success as a president will depend on which advisor(s) he listens to on which issues. We can’t know in advance how he’ll behave, because he has no track record of promoting anything except himself.

i understand obama wants to try the gitmo detainees. meet the new boss same as the old one.

For everyone out there who doesn’t seem to understand this: if you don’t like our current corporate-owned, pundit press, then you’ll LOVE the Fairness Doctrine.

The Fairness Doctrine prevents punditry, therefore anchors must report FACTS, that are BALANCED. It means no more KEITH OLBERMANN, no more CHRIS MATTHEWS, even STEPHANOPOLOUS will have to clean up his act.

IMO, if people object to policies that protect all American voters across the board just because your party is out of power or favor, those are people who care nothing for democracy.

Another point that seems to be in confusion: There are not only two possible economic systems, i. e., UNFETTERED CAPITALISM or SOCIALISM. The logical economic system for a democracy is: REGULATED CAPITALISM. This is what Europe and Canada have, not SOCIALISM. Corporations are created for the pursuit of huge, obscene profit at the expense of workers and consumers. REGULATIONS allow them to realize a great profit without injuring consumers or workers.

I live in CA and agree about the left but really disagree about the gays. The gays who want to marry are quite conservative, they want to settle down and make a formal commitment to their partner.

Money money money. Like McCain said, excess money lying around corrupts people.

Why can’t Obama live within his means? Odd, that.

  • AF catfish

Ayers writes in In These Times to say Hillary “wrote the script” of guilt-by-association and McCain picked it up. And poor little Bill Ayers, he’s just minding his own business trying to do good in this world, but no, still no remorse for bombing America.

    No worries, Andy.

And yeah – you know, I have friends who live in states where the candidates did not campaign, so they knew NONE of this stuff. They are educated people, but as one of them said, it took so much time she didn’t have to try and find out the real story, that she just didn’t know a lot of the stuff like abt Ayers (and the only things she saw abt Wright were the milder things, not any of the KKK of A stuff). She also has close family connections to Chicago, but none of them were enthusiastic abt Obama – a lesser of two evils was the choice, especially when the MSM is your source for news (as she said, “ABC didn’t report a lot of this stuff!” Uh, yeah, no.).

  • http://cinie.wordpress.com Cinie

Vince, can I ask what is the source of the info about Ayers’ Columbia address? I followed the link, but didn’t see it there.

  • sandi78

I agree that gays in California are, for the most part, pretty conservative and live quiet productive (very!) lives.

What happens during a Gay Pride parade is not representative of the daily lives of gays and lesbians. I think those parades do the group as a whole a dis-service by making gays appear to be almost cartoon characters instead of real people working at real jobs and paying their bills every month just like everyone else.

it broke my heart to see Taylor fall from grace.
her site is a shell of what it used to be.
I stopped in yesterday for the first time since the primaries ended and she began shilling for the one.
    makes me very sad.

  • http://wiskeytangofoxtrotoscar.blogspot.com/ James (San Jose)

There was no fraud, you lost. Seven million votes, over three hundred electoral college votes, even Bush has moved on and accepted the election is he a “traitor” too?

And who is Taylor Marsh to you? If you actually read her you would know that she was anti-McCain not Pro-Obama. She was also anti-PUMA. She actually followed the lead of HRC and worked her tail off to get down-ticket Democrats elected and to defeat McCain. She did this out of loyalty to Hillary Clinton who remains Taylor Marsh’s guiding star.

She was smart enough to see the rising star of Obama long before others did. She was first out of the gate with hard-hitting analysis of real policy differences she had with Obama. She was one of the first to strike back at the misogyny directed at HRC and one of the first to look into BHO lapses in judgment. She stuck with Hillary right to the bitter end but she was always realistic. She knew HRC was in trouble after February and was one of the first to point out the failures of the Clinton Organization. And when Hillary finally folded her tent Taylor supported Hillary’s decision. She then worked tirelessly to protect Hilliary’s position in the party.

Unlike N.Q. she understood that undermining Obama’s run in the general would spell political oblivion for Hillary. Did you see the vote for Obama in Hillary’s home state of New York? Do you think that happened by accident? Hillary worked her tail off for the Democratic Party and its nominee. And by doing that HRC is still a force to reckoned with in the Democratic Party.

As for the other nonsense on this post. It failed in the General and it is even less relevant now. Ayers is staying Chicago as is Rev Wright, if they are lucky they might get Christmas Cards from the White House in 2009. The only way either of them get into the White House is as part of a guided tour. The only thing revealed by “Obama’s associations” is your irrational hatred of Obama. Your willingness to keep flogging this dead horse reveals a total disconnect with the facts on the ground.

God(s)/dess(es) you have let this anti-Obama poison work it way throughout your entire being. For your own sanity and spiritual well being latch on to something else. Find a way to build instead of tearing down. This degree of bile does not become a U-U, Southern Baptists maybe but not a U-U.
